Crib Animation Teeth Fix

I was browsing through my dash today when I saw a pic of this happening, and realized that I know how to fix it. So here's just that: a quick replacement for the crib crying anims that move those levitating teeth into the mouth, where they belong.

Download (SFS) (alternate) - the file is compressed. Shouldn't conflict with anything.

I tested this fix with a few poor toddlers different faces and the teeth didn't stick out anymore, but let me know if you have any issues!

Unfortunately, the reunion of Shak and Jayce in the show was... lackluster in the emotional department. It was def something I wanted a bit more of. Seems weird to NOT react a bit more emotionally after finding your long lost brother that essentially raised you after 5 YEARS, but I digress.

Also wish there was more of him snapping out of his demon mode stuff bc of loved ones and not just throwing the magic hammer at him. Def became more prominent in this AU.

Bottom bit is him not realizing Daniel is with them as he's busy just being relieved to see Shak again and then shifted back immediately in defense, whoops. Bad first impressions, but lucky for Jayce, Daniel looks up to him as his tracker hero. Last thing Jayce was doing was fighting for his life in a prison riot he caused so he could try to escape and is covered in old blood and viscera since being let out of the soul box... wouldn't exactly want to shake his hand but.. haha He looks quite horrifying.

Don't worry, he'll get to clean up in a bit.

lol what made narusasu so good is that they were never enemies or rivals but two kids who had always wanted to reach out to the other but didn’t know how to. they never hated each other. it was never an enemies to lovers story. it was naruto’s you saw and understood me when nobody else did vs sasuke’s love makes me weak but i can’t help loving you. there’s nothing in shonen or anime or manga like narusasu and nobody who tries to emulate them will ever get it right bc people think they are just another instance of bitter mortal enemies who eventually became friends… but this isn’t true. it was never like that.

Some of the things Yuu says in her old diary entries about how "irreparably broken" she is, how she's scared that she corrupted Kei too, the intrusive thoughts about the time she accidentally squished a lizard as a kid, and all of the shame she feels about... everything, really, smells a lot like OCD to me.

Same for her paranoia about other people knowing the "real her", and her obsessive fear of moving on from the past or losing her sense of self. OCD is stupidly good at convincing your brain that crazy leaps of logic like this are, in fact, perfectly sensible. Morality OCD in particular likes to tell you that you're disgusting and/or dangerous and then make up reasons why this is irrefutably true, even if the thought of hurting people makes you feel upset or guilty. It's an endless cycle of constantly judging and second-guessing yourself and everything around you.

Unfortunately, while she and Kei fully accept each other's mental health issues, they also keep enabling one another's weird thought processes. Without any outside support or interference, this feedback loop simultaneously comforts them and drives them further into the mud, no doubt compounded by the fact that being a teenager is notoriously hard to begin with.

YMMV, everyone's got their own interpretations, but I think it's an interesting lens to view Yuu (and to an extent, Kei) through.

given ashton's specific issues, it's quietly tragic that they don't have someone on team uthodurn to specifically remember them, the way orym and laudna do. fearne goes to the wildmother shrine specifically to reach out to orym, and imogen- well, thoughts of laudna run through everything imogen does. fcg is ostensibly that person, for ashton, but they've known each other for significantly less time than fearne and orym or imogen and laudna, and fcg wasn't emotionally reliant on ashton in the same way. and fcg's had his hands full with meeting frida and all the new feelings coming with that, and maybe it's an intentional reflection of the fact that, as much as they care, fcg is a little self-absorbed, and also still very bad at processing and expressing their feelings.

but when frida asks if they ever had a person like frida has deanna, they mention dancer. which is- fcg was essentially a servant to dancer, she told him what to do. ashton's place in their life is much more parallel to deanna. and i think it makes sense for fcg to mention dancer, given their own issues and belief that someone else has to give them meaning (which is something that could be very interesting to explore in their relationship with frida!!), but. ashton's definitely gonna be worried sick about fcg when we eventually get to team ???, so seeing them apparently occupy fcg's thoughts so little is sad.

Went on a trail ride with another girl I haven’t ridden with in a while l and said “hey let’s try this trail!” and then I nearly got us stuck in a fucking swamp

I literally said “haha, come on Bertie (my horse) it’s not like it’s quicksand” and then boom! it kind of WAS though and my pony is fat but she is small, so she got stuck up to her knees a few times but oh my god, poor Buster is a normal sized thick ol halter hog quarter horse boy and he almost went down. he sunk in on the left side up to his stifle. that’s like his hip man that’s like. Almost the butt. that was high-as-a-horse’s-hips mud. That was horse-thigh-gap-height mud. Oh my god.

This obviously scared the horse so then he scrambled out as best he could and he took his mom into a bank full of many sharp little trees and she almost came off and then had to get down and back him back into the mud to get him out and around the trees again

Was my horse as affected? No. Was I hit so hard in the face by tree branches that I bit my lip? No, but her horse reenacted the neverending fucking story for a minute there and she got pistol whipped by branches and I felt so bad 😭 in fairness, she never objected to exploring. not in fairness, it was absolutely my dumbass idea

This is why no one wants to ride with us, even when I try to have a chill walk-only lazy little trail ride I still manage to get us into some kind of chaos, because my riding style can only be described as Quaintly Unhinged™️

i see what you mean, and i hadn't really thought of it that way but your words gave me a better perspective. on a related note, i don't like it very much when fanworks depict the slugcats as very anthromorphized (my hypocritical previous message aside), but that might be a matter of personal taste. regardless it's refreshing to see someone who does portray them in a more animalistic manner and i enjoy reading your blog a lot

Im glad you like my thoughts! Tbh, while I do have some gripes with the way (or what, i guess) people focus on in RW, It's never bothered me too much because it does feel very open ended in general. Slugcats are very flexible in how much or how little you give them in terms of whats going on upstairs, so I get more human-like interpretations of their behavior and culture, but it also does kinda suck that a game largely about getting into the mindset of an animal in an ecosystem now void of 'human' life is passed over in favor of placing a human-like perspective on them. (Being intelligent as a creature doesn't mean that it will always think about things in the same way we do- even with the same capacity to think about those things as we do) Non-human intelligence is a very interesting thing to play with world wise. Slugcats are, honestly, not too far from people in terms of general social behaviors (which makes it easy to assume that they would have similar 'views' on things as us, in the same way you might assume a chimpanzee might feel... some sense of wrongness or cruelty when it engages in violent, destructive behavior, even if theres no reason to assume a chimp 'should' feel guilt for its actions)- But I always found a lot of appeal in thinking about how society, cultures and moral type perspective might exist in species that are far from that should they have the capacity for the same level of thought. Slugcats, at minimum, represent a creature right on the cusp of human-like intelligence- Social and adaptable, able to use tools and willing to show charity to other creatures outside even their own species. Scavenger rest in a similar place- But humans they are not and will never be, so its impossible to know 'how' they will ever think about things. Because truly... the only reference we have for that is ourselves. Side note: I do love downpour and the slugcats in it, but I also can't deny that I think the slugcats in it sort of favored that type of 'character' interpretation. Its sort of hard not to see them at personable beasts on some level, even if I think the game does try to keep that under reign. Unfortunately, I think its a problem that was largely unavoidable, without making many sacrifices in terms of what the DLC is.

#the morality of animals is something that basically only exists in a philosophical sense cause figuring out whats going on in #something elses brain is basically impossible #the head of a subject you cant peak into. RW adds an interesting angle were there is at least an implied #sort of cosmic governance to things internally #that are (at least somewhat #even if difficult) capable of being damaged by their actions.
