It's based off a dream I had. The dream took place in Sonic Boom. Sonic and Shadow were werehog brothers, and Shadow was part of the crew. They had been in some kind of fight, Sonic thought they did well but Shadow was like, "Uhh, a diner was destroyed?" (Note* He was smirking about this, this is why he's smiling in the second panel) to which Sonic responded, "iT WAS COLLATERAL DAMAGE!"

It's one of those dreams you wake up disappointed from because you realize it wasn't real.

Remembered I had a boom!werehog au and thought

Y'know what I think boom!sonic could've just been a werehog the whole time. Like it's a family curse or something. And throughout the show he's just hiding it the whole time. He only turns on full moons so he can just. Go into the woods and hide once a month and since he's already a bit of a weirdo loner ppl don't think much of it

Actually him being a werehog is why his arms are blue and why he's taller than other sonics. And he wears all that sports tape to cover the darker patches of fur on his arms and legs

And why he eats so much at meh burger even tho the food is shit. I mean we never see any other food establishments except amy's I think? Might be misremembering it's been a while but while that might be the main reason everyone eats there sonic specifically does it bc he craves meat

He's secretly been doggy this whole time and no one knew

Boomhog....oh boomhog how I've neglected you...oh poor dog hog...poor boomdoghog...

My poor potentially 50ft werehog...

I totally didn't disappear and awkwardly stare at pics of eggman's lair desperately tryna figure out how tall it is to get that number 😭

Anyways- augh- Sonic being all disoriented from suddenly having more fur and even a tail, like- struggling to adapt to the changes. He's getting hotter and doesn't know how other mobians can live like this. He's struggling a little with balance and controlling said tail because he's not used to having a long tail, takes a bit before he can get comfortable running with it. His eyesight is almost alarmingly way better than what he's used to, he can even see in the dark weirdly enough.

Even in his "normal" new form, he feels awkward. In normal werehog form it's upsetting because he can't even run, why did his parents curse him with being his parents like this? But moonstone form? Holy crap how- function?! How do you avoid destroying more things than you're trying to protect when you're 50ft tall!?!? His friends are thankfully not all that scared of him but he feels bad seeing how nervous they are and can't even get mad at Amy for nagging about being careful and gentle. Every little movement is so intense for everyone else.

Just a beeg wolf who doesn't know what to do 😔

If something in Sonic life affects Cyan in some way ( Warning, there are DNA tests)

2: If Sonic turns into a Werehog, So Can Cyan , but Mentality

Since he's a robot, he can't transform physically, but going by the werewolf or werebeast in this case. Will still follow the classic moon cycle

The signs go as follows As a full moon draws near

1:His protective nature would be shots up to an 11, thus seeing Roboken as his entire pack. Basically, if you're part of it, you're safe, but if you're an outsider causing trouble, He. Will. Strike. If he did pounce on a pack member, it's mostly on a playful matter or a misunderstanding

2: His sense of smell and hearing would definitely be up to 11 as well. He be smelling you from a mile away. It became pretty useful when rain is about to come.

3: Due to his organic side, his mind became like a non anthemorphic heagehogs mix with Wolf/Dog alittle bit of cat, He might not speak much but still shows affection To those he's close to. He will definitely howl in the night

4: By the end of the night of the full moon, he will sleep for 1 entire day. Mighton usually lets him since he's always so focused on protecting his home

5: He doesn't usually remember these nights, maybe bits and pieces, but he sees him as a strange dream

At first, the team didn't think much of it. But then, after a while, they began to notice this very pattern. So, on one full moon night They decided to investigate and what really goes on In the night

That's when he pounds on to Tech. The rest would have attacked if they didn't see him start licking his head

They were pretty... Perplex When their leader were just making animal noises And wagging his small tail. But he does listen to them Thus getting them to the bunker of their birth

That's when Tech took a deeper look into Sonics/Cyan DNA. That also seems to change from what it previously was. And after some studying in deep investigation. Is when they came across the legend of the werebeast And discovering that there's normally a transformation.

Suffice to say it was easy to connect the dots from there

The only questions they have is Does Sonic know about his transformation? Does this His team know about this? Do they not know? Is Sonic keeping in a secret? it really their place to tell? they just don't know

Regardless of what the answer may be, they did let Cyan know on the following day Thus Finally figuring out what those dreams were.

Since then, they have always kept track of the mooncycle. So that way, he won't miss anything. And to keep anyone from taking advantage of this state.
