The grey wolf bared his teeth but the white wolf didn’t back down. She nudged him with her head even though he was still glaring at her. The panther snarled but the black dog barked and ran off. Moony shook off the instinct and ran off after Padfoot. The panther tentatively approached the other wolf, and she licked her nose.
Later when Lavender had resumed her human form, Parvati curled up next to her in bed. “Do you remember what happened?”
“Yeah, The Wolfsbane makes the memories clearer,” Lavender said tiredly, letting her head loll against Parvati.
“I thought Moony was going to bite you.”
Lavender shrugged. “I was in his territory. Even with the potion, the instincts are still there.”
“I was a little scared,” admitted Parvati. “Sirius is better at being distracting.”
Lavender chuckled a little, knowing what Sirius would say if he heard. “He’s been doing it for a long time.”
“Yeah. I guess he has.”
They were both quiet for a moment. “I guess I’ll have to get more practice,” Parvati said, as they both started drifting to sleep.

Parvati never was one for brewing potions in school, but now everything depends on it.
It turns out she can stand over the cauldron to stir in precise turns for over an hour, brave the elements to harvest aconite, and brace against the stench of pickled myrrh.
All for Lavender.
I was looking through my google docs, and I found a thing titled "Werewolf Code" that I had started in 2018. It had the basics of werewolf culture and genetics in this fic I was writing.
Before I got into the Teen Wolf fandom, I was working on a HP fanfic where after Voldemort died, Fenrir Greyback gained power during the power vacuum on the dark arts side of things.
On the other side, was the pack aligned with wizards led by Remus (of course). Harry, Ginny, and (believe it or not) Dudley were all bitten near the beginning of the story. Lavender Brown had become a half werewolf who worked at St. Mungo's in the bites ward, and she and Dudley actually ended up together. Won't Aunt Petunia be so pleased?
It's fascinating to see everything I had written about how werewolves worked as well as pack culture before I ever joined a fandom devoted to werewolves. I got pretty in depth with it if anyone is actually interested.
Who knows, maybe I'll include some of it in TW fics too
If you could ave any of the hp characters that died, who would you save and why?
This is a tough one. I think character deaths are generally well thought out in the series, and my first instincts for characters to save (Sirius, Dobby, Remus) are all ones whose deaths make the story's arc more powerful.
But...
Good god, Lavender Brown. The text is pretty ambiguous, but I think the majority consensus is that she's killed by Greyback. An appalling end for a character who's so deeply mistreated by the entire text, to be frank.
We only really see Lavender as a giggly, fluff-and-pink-loving foil for Hermione's bookish, not-like-other-girls vibe. A simpering first girlfriend for Ron, whom he essentially uses to gain experience after Ginny's comment about snogging Pigwidgeon. And her death means that he's the closest experience she'll ever get to romantic love. This is all clearly meant to be justified by the fact that she's a bit annoying, but everyone's a bit annoying in their early teens. Lavender's treated as nothing but a prop, and she deserves so 👏 much 👏 more 👏 than that.
@whinlatter makes a brilliant point about cheap-shot deaths in her response to this same question (go read it!), where she addresses the nature of Fred Weasley's death. I 100% agree that Fred is another character worth saving, but there's a super tiny part of me that would have thought it unrealistic if all the Weasleys had survived. Lavender's a cheap shot that I can't understand from any angle, and I think Ron will be pretty messed up over it after the war. Obviously there are a lot of good answers, and without spoiling anything, based on Beasts I think we might have similar thoughts on this one. 👀
Decided I wanna try doing Inktober, but to make it easy I'm tryna only do a small doodle every day! Nothing more than I want to do to avoid burn-out, y'know? Finding a good list was hard, but I'm using @bweirdart's OC-Tober list!
Day 1 was Fave OC, and that's a very sought after title but Hikaru is so old and has been in every single fandom I have been in so he's gotta be a fave.... my scrunkly old dog <3
I’ve decided to cut the evil werewolf out of the Mixiverse version of HP. Lycanthropy is not an allegory for AIDS, and it should never be that. And you may be wondering, is Remus Lupin still going to be a werewolf? To which I say, yes of course! However, he comes from a long line of werewolves. It’s passed down from several generations.
Also, Fenir Greyback didn’t contribute much in the story imo. The whole thing is just… not good. It’s icky.
Then how does Lavender Brown die? That’s the fun part. She doesn’t! That’s right! I’m going full on Starkid now!
@legacyofthephoenix asked : I promise, I'm fine. I just look tired a lot, thanks to... the tiredness. (for Ginny) - @legacyofthephoenix (Lavender)
Ginny looked at Lavender and smiled. She looked outside the window, seeing that the moon was getting close to full. "It makes you tired? Do you want some tea or anything?" She asked. "Maybe I could find a potion or something to help you sleep." The girl said, wrapping a blanket around Lavender.
So I recently finished writing "the what ifs of life and suffering" on ao3. If anyone that follows me on here has read it, then here is the playlist for it available. Here you will find songs that inspired certain situations and quotes that I used for the fic. Also just songs that fit the overall vibe.
