es scheint, jemand hat das bedürfnis bastian sick auf die füße zu treten... wohl nicht ohne grund, nimmt der mann nun schon einige zeit in anspruch, der wächter über die deutsche sprache zu sein - mit falschen schlüssen, wie daniel scholten aufzeigt...

sicher ist scholten nicht ganz so humorvoll, sicher ist scholten mehr wissenschaftler (zumindest, was dieses buch angeht), sicher ist, dass hier (siehe mehr wissenschaftler) belege für behauptungen gebracht werden, die stichhaltig sind. sicher ist aber auch, dass sich scholten nicht durchgängig an seine im buch erwähnten prinzipien zum sprachgebrauch hält.

scholten macht eine reise durch die zeit, eine reise durch die entwicklung der deutschen sprache - teilweise hat man das gefühl hier wird ein kleinkrieg der sprachwissenschaftler geführt - um bastian sick zu widerlegen. ein wenig wie das freiwerdende zimmer in der universität in “the big bang theory”. waren diese anführungszeichen nun richtig? ein kapitel widmet sich diesem thema. auch wenn ich mir jetzt nicht sicher bin: das kapitel war aufschlussreich.

daniel scholten reicht nicht an die ironie des bastian sick heran, doch bringt dieses buch einen zum schmunzeln. aber warum? wohl weil es dazu bringt sich dem gebrauch der sprache bewusster zu werden! es bringt aber ebenso zum nachdenken, was bei kontrahent sick nicht sonderlich passiert... es ist die geschichte der sprache, die fakten und die belege... es überzeugt, dieses buch.

nun - wie unterhaltsam doch eine auseinandersetzung der sprachwissenschaftler sein kann... und der untertitel? wer hat bloß die gabel zur frau und den löffel zum mann gemacht?... ist dies sexistisch? worte die opfer des feminismus werden? wie das? teil dieses buches.

schnell, knackig und mal etwas anderes als der sick knigge...

can we talk about how i’d never heard of this song before ? and had to look it up. “ don’t threaten me with a good time ” panic! at the disco. ft. the loosest interpretation ever ++ highschool flashback

green eyes are bright with adrenaline, one arm looped over the shoulder of his best friend, whispering into the dark haired boy’s ear that he’s rveally fuckinwg trashed or whatever that sentence was in english. it’s just the two of them, hanging out in a secluded part of the alley off of the school. ditching class again. but he can’t sit still long enough to want to sit through one of the hour long classes offered, let alone six of them in one day. he’s pretty sure that he’s managed to pull off some sort of record this week --- managed to be marked present for all his classes while attending... ( three ) maybe ? the alcohol in his system isn’t letting him think straight, and as he tries to prove that he can go back in time for english and read shakespeare just fine the boy trips over himself, landing on his friend and just laughing as they both manage to fall back agaisnt the fence. but as a hand grabs at seth’s shoulder to push him back and off of the dark haired boy a pain shoots up his spine, something that not even the outrageous amount of alcohol he’s managed to consume int he past hour can mask.

“ f-fuck man !! watmph it... ” comes the mumbled and rather slurred remark as seth steps back a few steps. dark eyes find green ones, and they mirror each other perfectly fear. it takes less than a second for the older boy to grip seth’s arm and pull him in, pulling the shirt out of the way roughly ( and probably thoroughly stretching the collar while he was at it ). seth might be beyond help for the day toxically, but even in his state he can read the expression on his friend’s face perfectly. “ it's n-not werhat y’er thinnking i got hurt at thuh shwop.. ” he adds, pulling the collar back up as best he can, brows furrowing a little, it wasn’t a lie. he had gotten hurt at the shop. because he’d been trying to fucking drag richard back home after finding him smoking and the boy had thrown a hammer at him... all part of the raising kids process right... seth just usually concluded that he was doing a terrible job.

“ ... i told you. you need to get out of that house. ” “ not gon’ ‘app’n. ” “ i’ll cut you off. ” “ i’ll burn your fucking stash. ”

soft eyes find radiant green, and tender hands touch seth’s cheeks, “ don’t threaten me with a good time seth moore. you burn my stash, and we’ll end up burning this fucking town down. ”
