Sorry for food spam (hehehe) & Work In Progress

Heavy raining in my country and what I’ve done on this weekend is eating and making Sims CC. 

1. I cooked Western food too. Mac & Cheese. Feels very The Sims 2 food. With additional a bowl of pork ham soup, brand Plumrose from Australia. 

2. Traditional Indonesian cakes. Kue Kayu Manis (Cinnamon bread with Almond topping), Kue Lapis (Green black layered cake made with glutinous rice flour), Roti Pawa goreng (Fried bread with meat filling)   

3. 蕉葉糯米雞 Lo Mai Gai with pork filling. 

4. 鳳爪蒸腸粉 Feng Zhua Zheng Chang Fen (Chicken Feet with Rice Noodles). 

5. MAMEE X DAEBAK （대박 ） GHOST PEPPER Korean ramen style instant noodles brand from Malaysia, with taste of Indonesian instant noodles. Very spicy. 

6. Pork luncheon brand from Shanghai, China. Ma Ling （梅林午餐肉）。 

7 & 8. Ghost Pepper noodles with fried Ma Ling pork luncheon.

23.5 coffee roastery, verve shops, mont kiara.

came here for another cafe but it was closed, and by luck, we found this place which looks interesting so we decided to give it a try. the interior uses grey as the main color, very industrial vibe with dark wood furniture as well. but it’s quite comfortable with lots of natural lights from the glass windows.

their menu has quite a lot of breakfast dishes, pasta, some rice bowl options and lots of different drinks, coffee or not coffee, and lots of pastry and cakes choices too, definitely need some time to decide on what to eat.

we ordered cheese baked eggs, garlic chili prawn pasta, ice dutch latte, black coffee, nutella mille crepe, blueberry cheesecake for our food, drink and desserts. and also brought home a cute pair of gingerbread man, ehehe.

the food portion is not huge, but big enough to fill our stomachs, food presentation is nice and simple as well. cheese baked egg do take some time to be served though, if you are very hungry, maybe order another dish. both the pasta and the cheese baked eggs is super nice though. pasta is not oily, smells really good and the prawns are big too. baked eggs is nice with the dark rye sourdough toast, love the crispy cheese layer on top.

nutella mille crepe is good and not as sweet as i thought it would be, i like that it has a hint of hazelnut taste to it, and the cream is quite light and the crepe layers are not too dry either. blueberry cheesecake is sweeter though, because of the jam, and it’s pretty cheesy as well. both cakes go well with their coffee which is amazing, coffee smell is good, not overly bitter or sour, with very faint fruity taste. and i like the coffee cup very much.

it was a good experience dining here, considering we just stumble upon the place, would definitely come back again in the future to try other dishes and just have some good food or drink and chill. the staff are also very friendly and nice and attentive as well, making our visit so much better.

Paradise Now, Choa Chu Kang SAFRA

Prices here does not show GST and service charge. Place has live music and a dart section.

🥩 Steak Paradise ($28)

Decent steak but not super amazing. Comes with roasted potatoes and french beans.

🍗 Chicken Steak ($20)

Crispy but the batter was sort of falling off the chicken. It's not great. Changed the fries to mashed potatoes but the mashed potatoes were kind of odd. Preferred it to be more buttery.

🍝 Spaghetti Bolognese ($18)

Slightly spicy with lots of beef. Also large portion.

🍫🥛 Chocolate Milkshake ($7)

Expected it to be thicker with more chocolatey taste. It's slightly diluted.

🍟 Cheesy Mentaiko Fries ($12)

Not a fan of the mentaiko sauce. It tastes sort of like nacho cheese instead.

🐓 Chipotle Chicken ($12)

Slightly sour taste. Just not a fan of this.

🐓 HCG Chicken Wings ($12)

These are pretty tasty!! Would definitely recommend these over the chipotle chicken.

was here last weekend with friends to celebrate one of our friend’s birthday. the restaurant is very popular so tables were filled up very quickly. sitting on the upper floor is quite nice, just like the overall feel very much.

we ordered quite a few dishes to share - panko soft boiled egg and smoked salmon salad, crispy calamari, uncle chow’s dip, sweet potato fries, thai beef ribs, seafood hotpot stew, tiger prawn & blue swimmer crab linguini and jibby’s signature three layer lasagna.

the food all looks very pretty and appetizing. love the dip and calamari very much. the beef ribs are very flavorful and goes well with rice. seafood hotpot stew has quite a lot of seafood, the sauce was quite salty though. pasta is yummy, the sauce has lots of crabmeat in it and it’s very appetizing but not too heavy. lasagna is nice with strong tomato sauce.

food is enjoyable and we are all full after the meal, however, the service is not that great. it’s difficult to get their attention and they are quite blur and slow when we request for things, definitely lots of room for improvement. the ambiance is really nice though. overall, the place was okay, and it’s definitely popular for gatherings and celebrations.
