cw: fluff, smut, domestic, valentine's day content. bkg with mentioned female partner. pregnancy mention. minors dni. summary: you and Izuku decide to celebrate another couple's love this Valentine's Day. a/n: a repost from last year's valentines' day fic because i still think it's cute. features 1 terrible joke.

“Red or white?”

While checking the chicken cutlets still browning in the oven, you reflexively call out in reply,

“Red. Has to be red.”

“Of course.”

Closing the oven door, you glance over at Izuku who is hunched over in the glass cabinet in the portion of the living room you can see from your vantage point, and hear the clinking of glass bottles as your husband rummages through your admittedly small stores of alcohol. He pulls out a classic Pinot, and you recognize it as the pretty expensive one Bakugou and his wife (well mostly his wife, really) offered you months ago when you’d first moved into this new home.

“This one?” He asks.

You tilt your head slightly, pondering. “Does your mom even like red wine at all?”

“I’m actually not sure,” he thinks, frowning as he attempts to recall any time he might have caught her drinking.

You purse your lips. “I think we have a Riesling in there. It’s sweet, she might like it,” you ask, before turning back to the kitchen to set up the rest of the dinner items.

Taking a glance at your phone, you check to see if Toshinori has replied to your text message requesting his ETA. The last answer you have from him is a sticker of his own face giving you a thumbs up and it makes you stifle a laugh. It kills you every time he does it, truly Dad behavior.

As Izuku rounds the corner of the kitchen island to place the bottles within a decorative ice bucket on the dining table, he presses a kiss to your forehead. You smile, but then you remember his earlier deceit and shake your head.

“I cannot believe you told Inko I was pregnant!”

He rearranges the bottles as well as a large bouquet of red, pink and white roses with a devious grin on his face, then raises an eyebrow at you.

“Is it really that bad?” He asks, a glint of mischief in his eyes. “It’s just a little white lie.”

“Villain,” you mutter under your breath just as your timer goes off. He laughs out loud.

The next few moments involve you laying down two fine placemats across from each other, your nicest china, far too much cutlery (based on a guide both of you read about fine dining), and sparkling crystal glasses. Herbed chicken parmesan, steaming buttery lobster, roasted brussels sprouts, garlicky mashed potatoes, and angel hair pasta lightly tossed with olive oil and stewed grape tomatoes are set on the table along a light salad. You remembered something about All Might liking Western food and wondered if this was what he was thinking of.

Then you suddenly remembered something else.

“Oh noooo, he doesn’t drink!” you exclaim. Before you can scramble for non-alcoholic options, Izuku has placed a particularly decorative container of sparkling water on the table.

“Just ahead of you,” he says. Always ready to save the day.

Water seems a little lackluster for a romantic dinner, you consider grumbling, but the table looks so beautiful by now that you decide not to let the perfect be the enemy of the good.

“Everything looks amazing!” You announce, clasping your hands together. Izuku agrees and starts the music while you lower the lights, a very light jazzy mix, and as though right on cue, you hear a knock on the door while Izuku begins to light the red and pink candles one by one.

It’s Inko.

She’s dressed far nicer than you usually see her, green locks fully down for once, and you can tell that she’s taken her time to actually perform the skincare routine you’d recommended for her. In fact, you consider that her skin looks a lot healthier than yours and it brings you joy. There’s even a tiny bit of blush she’s applied to her cheeks and a touch of lipstick. The greatest thing she wears however, aside from her coral pink sheath dress, is a wide smile.

“___, congratulations!”

Your mother-in-law envelops you into a hug and for a moment her genuine unbridled joy makes you feel bad that Deku had come up with such a bad lie. You mentally remind yourself to scold him later a second time as you hug her back.

“I- uh… Yeah!” There’s an awkward laugh you let out as she pulls back and holds you by your arms, small tears of joy forming in her eyes. Your stomach turns.

“He told me there would be pictures so I dressed up and-” she starts, but by this time Izuku senses your discomfort and swoops in between you to give his mother a warm hug, then leads her to her seat.

Inko is asking so many questions - How many weeks? Have we thought of names? Are you doing okay? Are you nervous? - that she doesn’t realize her son has sat her down and unraveled a napkin to place on her lap. Nor has she noticed that there are only two placemats laid out, or that you have just gotten a text from Toshinori that says he’ll be there in five minutes.

Smiling as Izuku stands besides her and deflects all her questions, you wonder if all of this is ethical. You may be teasing Izuku for his lie, but you’ve also told All Might that you were surprising Izuku for his birthday and throwing a party.

“That’s five months early?!” He’d asked on the phone.

To which, you sang, “That’s why it’s the perfect surprise!”

You’d given him too short of a notice to ask too many questions, and it worked out perfectly well because you could hear a second knock on your door.

As Inko’s eyes flitted to the door, her frown made it clear that she was realizing something was fishy.

“Am I missing something here?” she started, but before she could press further, All Might all but burst through the door, in powered up form and in a finely pressed shirt and tie, with his signature catchphrase -

“I AM HE-”

He stops abruptly, blinking back and forth as he searches the room significantly lacking in people, slightly dark with mood lighting, and his eyes finally settle on Inko.

And he realizes just before she does.

Inko gets to her feet quickly, immediately apologizing at the squeak of the legs of the chair scraping against the floor as she scoots back, but points at All Might.

“You are-”

“Here,” they say in unison.

All Might nearly chokes as he powers down in a poof and slightly entertained but holding in your amusement, you pat his back, leading him to the seat across from Inko, who is being settled right back into her chair by Izuku massaging her shoulders.

“You tricked me,” Toshinori mutters helplessly under his breath, and you nod sweetly.

“Of course I did, All Might,” you say, patting his shoulder. He gives you a sharp glare behind him, meant to intimidate but failing miserably, then turns back to stare down at his plate.

It doesn’t take a genius to realize what’s going on here. You can see the redness on Toshinori’s sallow cheeks and it actually stirs your heart a little.

Izuku turns down the music from the speaker set on the bar for just a moment before clasping his hands together.

“Yes, so we lied!” He announces. “But!”

He pauses and points to the spread before them. “____ did a lovely job today with all the cooking, and we wanted to spend this Valentines’ Day focused less on us…”

With this, he takes hold of your hand and squeezes it and you can’t stop the warmth that builds in your own face.

“… and on the two of you.”

Inko gives Izuku a look that is something like a pout but she stays seated. All Might on the other hand shifts almost uncomfortably in his chair for a moment, and for a split second you wonder, standing close to Izuku and whispering, did we go too far? in his ear, if All Might will end up leaving and making the whole ordeal genuinely uncomfortable.

But then, he clears his throat.

“M-Midoriya-san, you look lovely,” he says definitively and almost in unison, you and Izuku’s hearts skip a beat. You’re probably boring a hole in Inko’s forehead at this point as you wait for her reply, and just to make sure you don’t continue to stand there creepily you nudge Izuku to start pouring drinks.

“Thank you,” she says after a pause. Her voice is gentle. “You look quite handsome yourself.”

You almost knock over her glass of red wine in surprise and Izuku’s eyes widen in your direction, but he himself is dangerously close to overflowing Toshinori’s glass.

You make a face and he catches himself. You both agree that it’s time to leave.

After describing the menu lightly, the two of you let them know that you’ll be returning in a couple hours and have reservations of your own. Inko mutters something teasing about being cheap to one’s parents but heavily compliments the food regardless. You notice her generously spooning pasta onto Toshinori’s plate and his distracted look as he focuses on her face.

This ship will sail, you think.

“The car’s waiting for us,” Izuku points out, grinning, as you run over with a last glance at Izuku’s parental figures. He helps you put on your coat, and you hug him tightly as the door closes behind you.

…

By the time the two of you return, it’s fairly late. You’d been polite enough to send a message to Inko and ask her if she needed more time, and she had asked for 45 more minutes, to which Izuku responded with sheer delight.

“She’s been lonely for a while to be honest,” Izuku mentions as you make it up the elevator. “I wish I had realized it earlier.”

It must have been different for Izuku who had met Toshinori young, when the wistful look had not been present in Inko’s eyes, but you’d sensed it the first time you saw Inko and All Might interact. A little something, that was subtle and polite and respected boundaries, but ever-present and shared. Was it their shared hope for Izuku’s growth? Was it something more than that? You would never truly know what it was that engendered that affection but it didn’t really matter.

What did matter was that when you finally returned, All Might’s hand held Inko’s gently across the table. He did retreat rapidly once he saw the two of you and you only pretend to bounce your eyes for privacy.

“Did you enjoy the food?” Izuku asks cheerfully, as he clears the dishes and the leftovers for them. The Riesling is nearly gone, you notice, and you wonder if All Might had ended up helping finish off the bottle.

“Absolutely!” They say in unison, then look at each other again, and you can see that gentle fire between them that rivals the still burning candles surrounding them.

“Good,” you reply. Very good.

You sit down at the table with them and share in gentle commentary and a little bit of banter before the two are ready to make their exit and relish in the genuine smile on Inko’s face.

She’s cute when she crushes, you think. It’s another side of the lovely woman who made the one you love, and you can’t wait to tease her about it later, if only to get back at her for the fact that before the “real” adults leave, they admonish you for lying.

“Pregnancy?! How could you lie about something so serious, Young Midoriya?!”

All Might is genuinely in shock as he stands in the doorway and for once Izuku actually is a bit embarrassed because his mentor’s face is so intensely disappointed that there’s not much he can say in response. He scratches at the back of his neck.

“See, the kids were polite enough to give you a lie that was far less grave… however, how could you seriously believe in a 5 month early surprise party?” Inko asks, slapping All Might with her handbag. He makes an exaggerated pained sound, as though she knocked the wind out of him and she laughs, linking arms with him before they leave.

“Thank you again for dinner,” they say and the two of you beam.

“Our pleasure,” you say in unison then laugh.

It takes the changing of clothes into bare skin and soft lingerie, gentle necking between satin sheets and far too many rose petals to completely distract the two of you from the events of earlier today. You are comfortably nestled in Izuku’s arms, legs tangled with his and face pressed into his bare chest until he stirs suddenly.

“Oh my God.”

Izuku shoots up straight like a board and you can practically feel the sudden sharp panic run through his entire body. He’s muttering something unintelligible under his breath and you give him a look of confusion until he finally speaks.

“What if he Plus Ultras my mom?”

“… What?” You repeat, incredulously.

He clutches his head dramatically.

“H-he’s going to have sex…with my…” his mouth falters.

You gasp when you finally realize what he means, then pause for a moment before bursting into genuine rip-roaring laughter. Izuku stares at you in continued distress as you end up in tears, covering your face with a pillow, peeking up at him, then laughing even harder at the pallor in his features.

“You have to be kidding me?! This just occurred to you now???” You crumble into another fit, kicking your legs this time into the mattress while Izuku is frozen as still as a statue.

He might as well be shell-shocked.

A few moments pass as you try to recollect yourself, and maybe acceptance has finally set in because he mutters under his breath something about this whole ordeal possibly being a mistake, but nevertheless pulls you to face him, cupping your face in his large hands.

“Just don’t think too hard about it,” you whisper, pushing your hand through his locks, gently rubbing the back of his head.

He sighs into your touch.

“If I do, I’ll probably lose my boner,” he says, pursing his lips to the side. You laugh again and he eventually melts into a smile, and kisses you on the nose.

As he pulls back, his demeanor changes into something more smug, a tease. It’s the type of look he has when he’s about to be lewd and it’s a sudden shift but you welcome it.

“What?”

His eyes lower to your lips again, and he bites your lower one, then pulls back slowly.

“You know how I got in trouble for saying you were pregnant?”

“For lying,” you corrected him, with a raised eyebrow. He dips down and bites your upper lip, slower and more sensual this time. The sting of the bite has you wanting for a little more than just kisses, and he’s well aware of it.

He trails a finger up the curve of your thigh then rests his hand on your hip. Rubbing gently, he whispers, tone low and rich.

“What if we made it true tonight?”

Your throat dries and you swallow hard. He takes it as a yes and hooks a finger around the crotch of your panties, then another finger rubs up and down your slit. He stops right at the entrance to your pussy and presses inward. You wince.

A thumb finds your clit and his lips find yours again. There’s a deeper kiss this time, and he pulls back once again.

“What do you think?” He asks, and the fact that he is starting to take more strained breaths is not lost on you.

Gender Expectations in Kirigakure

The role of women in Kirigakure

Generally speaking, it used to be rather uncommon for women to become kunoichi. One of the women who did was Ameyuri Ringo, who quickly became an idol to many young girls in her time. The idea of a woman swordsman was ridiculous - yet she fought her way up to the top. The shinobi affilitation was a very men-oriented field and those women who did became fully fledged shinobi were battle hardened and didn't take shit from anyone.

However, it was very common for women to be part of the workforce, since many citizens are on the poorer side, women from higher ranked families being the exception. The most common jobs taken on by women used to be rice and fruit farmers, seamstresses or business (co-)owners.

This has changed, however, once the fifth mizukage, Mei Terumi, rose to power. She encouraged young women and girls to fight for their dreams and become shinobi as well.

Women of the middle and higher classes are expected to take care of themselves, look pretty and be gracious, elegant and soft-spoken. Arranged marriages were nothing uncommon, often leaving the women with no choice in the matter.

Men's role in Kirigakure

Men are expected to be hard workers, providers for the family, but the image of the ideal man does differ from other cultures. Men in Kirigakure are rather comfortable in their femininity and it is not uncommon for men to wear makeup, do skincare and sleep with silken bonnets to take care of their hair. This often leads to Kiri men being seen as effeminate or flamboyant.

The exception to this are Kiri fishermen and sailors, who have adopted a more 'westernized' view of masculinity. Often foul mouthed and abrasive, they have formed their own subculture of 'new masculinity'.

Gender outside of woman and man

It is not uncommon for youngsters and teens in Kirigakure to reject the idea of being either a woman or a man, however it does lead to scrutiny and condemnation of Kirigakure's older population. People assigned female at birth are more often scruitinized than people assigned male at birth.

The beauty ideals in Kirigakure

Fair, pale skin Fair skin is seen as a sign of wealth and beauty in Kirigakure and a very desirable trait to many people. Skin bleaching creams are widely available and there are many problems with colorism in Kirigakure.

Long, luscious hair Another sign of wealth, long, open hair is seen as the beauty ideal because it means not having to work a tedious job where long hair would be seen as tedious.

Brown eyes In a country where people with kekkei genkai were frequently hunted down and killed, it is to be expected that anyone with a rare or unnatural eye color would automatically be seen as a freak, leading to brown eyes being the beauty ideal in Kirigakure.

A plump, well fed looking body This is pretty much self explanatory, as more plump bodies are seen as a sign of being well fed and able to afford leisure time.

Western misogynists: Wow, those Muslims are so backwards and sexist, forcing women to go out with their hair covered! I don't get what women are complaining about, that's REAL sexism over there.

Western misogynists: Anyway every woman needs a 12 step skincare routine and multiple layers of carefully applied oil to leave the house because women have to be 100% aesthetically perfect at all times. If I see a pore on a woman I will scream.

Braving the Elements season 3

The new season of the podcast Braving the Elements concerning the book 3 of the Avatar the Last Airbender started, predictably with the appearance of Mike and Bryan. They talked a little about how busy they are with “something” and a bit more about book 3 “Fire”. There was a lot of mutual admiration and general excitement, but we got some information as well.

- It’s been 20 years, and they don’t remember every detail of their thought process

- they remember some stuff, and are always happy to talk about their inspirations. Like Bryan talking about his trip to Iceland, his admiration for its natural beauty made by volcanic activity, and how Iceland photos became Fire Nation landscapes.

- or Mike telling about his trip to Bhutan and his awe at the Tiger’s Nest temple that became an inspiration for the Western Air Temple.

- they talked about how Ozai’s face reveal – that he is just a regular guy who looks like older Zuko whole we don’t see until Zuko meets him face to face – was initially thought to mean one thing, then it started to mean a slightly different thing, and it is fine.

- Dante was super excited to meet Mark Hamill when recording voices for Zuko and Ozai. (who wouldn’t)

- they talked about inspiration for the lion turtle they found in Korea, and that it really was meant to me there in the story from the beginning, and they tried to hide it while giving away glimpses.

- 99.9% of Air Nomads were airbenders. Because that’s how they invented that world, that’s why.

- Aang was never going to kill Ozai. Never ever. He is a monk and has monk ethics no matter what everyone was telling him.

- animating the scene where Aang and Ozai’s souls are fighting for the dominance during the energybending moment was rather challenging.

- I probably forgot something, but you may listen to it – or, for the first time – also watch it on the Avatar the last Airbender official Youtube channel. At first I thought why? And then after I listened to the podcast I couldn’t remember what said Bryan and what said Mike. Not to imply that they are the same – they are very much not- but I have a trouble distinguishing voices I don’t know well. So I watched a bit – and really liked it. Whoever edited the video did a great job of adding some visual jokes and visual illustrations to whatever Janet, Dante, Mike and Bryan were saying. So we can see how Bryan’s photos of Iceland became the Fire Nation, and how Tiger’s Nest looks like.

And it is so easy to remember who was saying what! Mike is the one who looks like Aang, Bryan is the one who looks like Zuko, Dante is the one who sounds like Zuko. And occasionally talks as if he is Zuko.

I may have picked the silliest time to ask, but if you hadn't already posted any, would you mind giving some advice about what to look for or avoid in sunscreen? I remember you're pretty knowledgeable in skincare and I wanted to ask since I'm starting to get into beach cleaning!

TWO WORDS: ASIAN SUNCREEN.

I don't even bother with western stuff anymore. All of my suncare is from either Japan or South Korea because their formulations are FAR more elegant in the sense that they will go on smoothly, disappear into the skin and just generally feel like you're not wearing much of anything after. This is in contrast to a lot of the tacky/sticky and chalky sunscreens in the USA where I'm from. Also their UVA filters are far more advanced than ours and use more recent technology - these are the filters that'll help prevent skin damage and premature aging. A few recommendations for you to look into:

ANESSA brand sunscreens as a whole - these provide some of the best protection on the market but the downside is they can be a little pricy! My personal favorites are ANESSA Perfect UV Sunscreen Milk and ANESSA Perfect UV Sunscreen Skincare Gel.

Biore Aqua Rich Watery Essence. Japanese Biore sunscreens are some of the most popular on the market due to their great protection AND super affordable price. These dry down matte very well too!

Skin Aqua Super Moisture Gel or Skin Aqua UV Super Moisture Milk. Also affordable and super protectant.

Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun. I haven't tried this one personally but everyone I know who's big into sunscreen loves it AND it's affordable so I'm going to recommend looking into it. Hope that helps!! Good luck and I think it's fantastic you're helping clean up our beaches!

Chapter II: Boundaries

Sujin woke up with a soft groan, as he was long out of his omega and little headspace. He slightly groaned and cringed at himself as he lifted his head from his pillow remembering everything that happened last night. The memories of him slipping into little space while vulnerably forcing himself into his omega headspace out of anger, to him becoming overwhelmingly needy while in Hyunjin's presence, to Chan staying in his room for the night. That's when he looked to his side to confirm if the alpha was still there, but the spot beside him was empty, and based on the omega's use of his sense of smell, he could tell the older had to have been gone for a while, as the seawater was very faint. That kind of annoyed Sujin, as the alpha had made it known he was going to spend the night with him, so why break that word by leaving in the middle of the night? He pushed it to the back of his mind not wanting to make a bigger deal out of it than it needed to be. He groggily got up from his bed, gently ruffling his bed hair. He quickly headed to the bathroom and brushed his teeth before checking his face in the mirror. He decided he'd give it a quick wash with the little skincare product he had left. He went back to his room and noticed his bag was completely emptied, and all of his stuff was put up in its intended place. He quickly picked up the skincare bottles seeing they were on their last few 'squirts' and headed back to the bathroom, quickly lathering them up and applying them to his face.

When he was finally done after rinsing his face off for the last time, he quickly dried it and prepped himself to head downstairs as his stomach was heavily growling. Upon picking it up from his nightstand, he checked the time on his phone and was surprised to see he had slept until 11 a.m. A time he wasn't used to waking up because his former job always gave him early shifts. He quietly headed downstairs and met with the smell of what he could only assume was bacon and a sweet-smelling pastry. He reached the living room and kitchen being hit with various new scents as well, as well as whatever was being made in the kitchen. In the living room watching TV and playing around were Felix, Hyunjin, Seungmin, Han, and Jeongin. while Chan, Minho, and Changbin seemed busy in the kitchen. The two older alphas were busy cooking something while Changbin seemed to be deeply focused on something on his laptop in front of him.

Sujin walked into the kitchen towards the two at the stove, noticing that they were making a fairly western breakfast, bacon and pancakes and eggs, which Sujin thought to himself explained the smell from upstairs.

"Boo." the omega said abruptly as loud as his deep voice would allow him, causing the three alphas in the kitchen to jump from shock as they all looked to see who spooked them. They calmed down when they realized it was Sujin.

"Sujin what was that for?" Chan softly whined as he finished the last of the food with Minho. Sujin immediately being hit with a wave of their scents, Chan and Minho's seawater and dark chocolate as well as a new scent intricately mixing with his strawberry and honey scent. He stood there quietly as he tried to decipher what the new scent was when Changbin snapped him back out of his thoughts.

"Earth to sujin ?" the muscular alpha said softly as he chuckled, "What are you thinking about?"

"Oh, I'm just trying to figure out what your scent is," Sujin replied softly as he rubbed his forearm gently. " I can't place it..."

Upon saying so Changbin gestured for the omega to come over with a smirk. Sujin immediately listened, and shuffled over to the alpha, innocently stopping before him. Changbin moved his head to the side allowing Sujin to move closer and take a sniff of his scent gland. The omega gladly accepted the gesture leaning in, being hit with a strong whiff of coffee. He inhaled the smell a few times before pulling away. He had to admit the alpha's scent was pretty intoxicating and addictive with how potent it was.

"That's why I couldn't figure it out," Sujin said with a pout, " your scent practically blends in with the aroma of the food in the kitchen."

The three alphas in front of Sujin chuckled at his words as they finished up, Chan gesturing for Sujin to sit in the empty seat next to him so he could serve the omega. He listened carefully sitting on the bar stool, before silently fidgeting with his fingers. Changbin called the rest of the pack to the kitchen to eat breakfast before heading back to his laptop and closing it. Minho quickly walked over to Sujin placing a plate a plate with pancakes, bacon, breakfast sausages, and some eggs. For sensory reasons, the omega slightly grimaced at the eggs as he never ate them. Just attempting to eat the item would always make Sujin puke. He looked around noticing that only 2 of the pack, Minho and Chan, didn't have their plates yet, While the rest were already staring to chow down on the food. He only started eating when the last 2 alphas took their seat on either side of him. He savored the pancakes as he ate them, doing a little dance in his seat at how good they tasted.

"Someone seems to be enjoying my pancakes," Chan said with a soft chuckle as he admired the omega's response to the food. Sujin softly smiled and continued to eat his food, while the rest of the pack snuck quick enthusiastic glances his way.

He continued to eat until the only thing left on his plate was the eggs, and by now most of the pack had left the table minus Hyunjin and Minho. Sujin quietly played with the eggs trying to avoid them as much as possible.

"Do you not like the eggs Sujin?" Hyunjin quietly asked, taking notice of me avoiding the eggs.

"Uh, it's not that... I just have a bad sensory response to it that makes me sick?" the omega said nervously not wanting to offend the alpha's eggs.

"Oh that's perfectly fine," Minho responded as he got up and grabbed my plate, " We don't want to force you to eat something you can't cutie... Here Hyunjin you can have his eggs."

The other alpha took Sujin's eggs and happily ate them, while the omega began to feel slightly guilty. He wasn't used to treatment like that. Usually, if his parents made him food he didn't like they'd force him to eat it. He softly pouted as he stared at the counter, unsure how to recover from it, so he looked up at the alpha heading over to the kitchen sink, as everyone had already left either for their room or daily errands.

"Thank you," Sujin said softly still looking at the counter, " for doing that..."

" No need to thank me," Hyunjin replied as he began to wash the dishes in the sink. Sujin wasn't sure what to do now that breakfast was over and he didn't know if the alpha was okay with him offering to help so he decided he was going to go back to his room.

"Uhm.. I'm going to head back to my room.." the omega said softly waiting at the edge of the counter near the stairs for an answer.

"Oh I'm almost done Sujin," Hyyunjin replied softly, "I can head upstairs with you if you want."

"Oh, okay I'll sit and wait," Sujin said as he sat back down at the counter waiting for Hyunjin to finish up. He took his phone out of his pocket and started searching for some nearby jobs seeing as he needed money to hold him over. He wasn't 100% sure if he was going to pick this pack and he needed to have a backup plan when it came to his financials. Hyunjin finished up and walked over to the omega seeing that he seemed to be fully immersed in his phone when he realized the latter was looking up job openings.

"Hey, uhm if you're looking for a job, I think some of the pack members might have some openings with their stuff that they'd want you to help with." the alpha spoke softly not wanting to spook the omega.

"Oh no, I couldn't burden them with my presence like, wouldn't it be a bit much having me in the house and at work?" Sujin said as he shook his nervously, slipping his phone back into his pocket. He hated to admit it but he was hoping the alpha didn't see the condition of his measly little phone.

"We don't mind," Hyunjin said as he softly rested his hands on Sujin's shoulder, "I'm sure you need the money just in case you think things here aren't working out for you. Plus from the looks of it.. You need a new phone and soon... this one is obviously hanging on its last life."

"You don't have to immediately accept the offers," he said in a soft reassuring tone as he pulled me up out of my seat, "but think about it a bit once they bring up the details with you before answering. I promise you won't regret it."

The tall alpha then led Sujin back upstairs stopping between Sujin's door and another door. " If you need me I'll be in my room over here," he said as he pointed at the bedroom door across from Sujin's. Sujin nodded and Hyunjin quickly headed into his bedroom, the omega following after and walking into his bedroom.

The omega softly plopped onto his bed, looking over at his nesting bed. He quietly thought to himself looking at each of the items in it, curious about which pack members contributed to it. The omega wondered why the others so willingly gave up items of theirs to him just so he could make a comfortable nest, it's not like they were obligated to. Why were they treating him with such care he thought to himself? He pulled his phone back out of his pocket scrolling through video after video on his social media so that he could feel occupied with something. The omega wouldn't be one to lie about him feeling uncomfortable whenever he was left alone to his thoughts. He sometimes contemplated how he hadn't ended things whenever he reminisced about the way he was treated back home. He had no one and despite all that he endured he stayed alive in hopes that things would change for him.

Sujin had become so immersed in his thoughts that he hadn't realized how much time had gone by until he heard a knock on his door. He jolted up a bit in his bed waiting for whoever it was to announce their presence.

They knocked again before speaking, "It's Felix, can I come in?" he said softly as he waited for Sujin to respond.

"Yeah you can," the omega responded softly, still staring at his phone scrolling through random feeds hoping they would be enough of a mental distraction. The alpha on the opposite side of the door carefully opened it and took a few steps into the room. Sujin looked up at Felix not wanting to be rude.

"How are you liking it here so far?" the alpha said with a soft smile. Sujin couldn't explain it, but something about the alpha made him want to smile back. Felix emitted this vibe that made Sujin feel comfortable even if he was standing a few feet away...

"I guess I could say I enjoy it here," the omega said with a faint smile as he rubbed the nape of his neck. Felix took a few steps forward, taking the omega's words as an invite further into the room. He kept walking until he stood just a few inches next to Sujin at the foot of the bed, giving the omega a questioning look as he gestured at the bed. The younger nodded his head, giving the alpha the green light to sit next to him.

Felix carefully sat next to Sujin and shot him a warm smile, "That's great, I hope we can make it even better," he said enthusiastically as he looked around the room and caught a glimpse of Sujin's phone, " Oh we should probably work on getting you a new phone."

" Oh no you guys don't have to worry, I'll get a new one when I save up enough money," Sujin said shaking his head. He genuinely didn't want to become a financial burden to anyone in the pack.

"You don't have to worry about becoming a financial burden if that's what you're thinking about..." Felix said as he smiled and tilted his head towards the omega calmly reassuring him, "We're courting you so we want you to be as comfortable as possible around us, and pampering you with gifts would be part of that."

Sujin smiled back in response, although slightly anxious as he now had to accept that they were going to spend money on him whether or not he liked it. "Can we do it soon then?" the omega replied a bit anxiously. "I'm not sure how long this phone will hold up honestly."

"Yeah, and how did it even get like that to begin with?" the alpha said with a soft chuckle as he tried to grasp how a phone could end up in such a condition.

"Oh I had a family pack back in New Zealand, and they were pretty... rough... towards me.." Sujin replied sheepishly as he rubbed the nape of his neck having put more emphasis on the word rough. Felix had titled his head again furrowing his eyebrows as he tried to figure out why Sujin had said the word like that but decided to not say anything about it, he figured it was most likely something the younger didn't want to talk about.

"Is there anything you want to do or plan on doing while you're here ?" Felix abruptly said as if to change the topic. Sujin thought to himself for a few seconds but realized he hadn't been prepared to answer a question like that. It wasn't his choice to go to South Korea, so he had never bothered to research any activities he wanted to partake in. The younger just softly shrugged before honestly answering.

"I'm not sure, I never really bothered to look up any activities to do here because I didn't think I'd actually end up here."

"Oh that makes it much better for us then," Felix replied happily, " we can just show you the places we love here."

Sujin smiled at that, it warmed his heart to know that they genuinely wanted to do such things with him.

"We can go out in a few to get you a new phone," he said, "and some clothes, as it is starting to get cold and I think the pack is planning some dates these next few months with you."

Sujin couldn't help but blush softly in response. "Okay, then I'll just change into something more suited for outside and wait by the garage." With that statement Felix had gotten up and left the room, giving the omega the privacy to change comfortably.

He put on a pair of simple black pants, and his Doc Martin boots, and put a hoodie over his shirt before heading to the garage and waiting for a bit. He wasn't sure if it was just Felix taking him or if the alpha was going to round up everyone else. He waited messing with the soon-to-be trash phone until he heard more than one footstep making its way toward the garage. He softly smiled getting up as he was met by Felix, Bang Chan, Hyunjin, and Seungmin. Upon seeing the beta, Sujin's smile faltered as he no longer felt comfortable. Bang Chan led everyone over to a car in the garage that seemed to be smaller than the SUV he had transported the day before. Seungmin was one of the first to get in the back seat as Felix and Chan took over the front seats, Chan in the driver and Felix in the passenger. Hyunjin was going to gesture to the omega to go in the backseat next when he read the younger body language, remembering that the omega would be less fond of Seungmin after the incident that recently transpired. The alpha decided he would sit between the beta and omega, to avoid any newer incident taking place. When they got back home he would have to find a way to get the omega to initiate boundaries. Hyunjin carefully sat in the car pulling Sujin into the car behind him, closing the doors as they all got in.

Was using this when I was breaking out (July 2023) did not see a difference, I thought it would dry out my acne but it didn't prolly wouldn't go back to this cleanser.

Affordable? YES.

Does it work? I think. Since I am breaking out I will have to keep using this product during and post break out because I wanna believe its the kind of product you have to keep using in order to work. PS: I have been using this product for years but I have to pause if I wanted to try out new skincare.

Will I still keep using this? Probably.

Jumiso Yes, I Am Toner

My sister gave this to me to treat my Bacne before buying the body cleanser from Some by Mi. I didn't use it lol it was already half empty when she gave it to me, I didn't mind it but I wanted to use the product I bought to treat my Bacne. When I started breaking out in July of 2023 I did try to use it on my face but it had like a smell that was off I decided to throw it out.

Neutrogena Hydro Boost Hyaluronic Acid Water Gel

I've always wanted to try this out, the second I had, tried it immediately then saw a video on Tiktok that mostly you're just paying for water ang glycerin on it. Was dissapointed of course, I was planning to buy it again if it didn't broke me out. Fyi, I didn't broke out but I did not buy it again because of what I saw on Tiktok.

Belo Acne Pro Pimple Gel

I had this in my skincare pantry for a while now so again when I started breaking out (July 2023) before buying anything else I tried this one but it was yellowish it had been open for some time now I feel like it would still work it still has that slight tinging effect when put on active pimple but I just didn't want to risk it, good thing I had another one so I just used that but then I'm too impatient because the pimple were not drying out fast enough for my liking.

BONUS: Glow Lab Minis

These three came in a kit along with a night cream that had gone bad that I threw out first before I was thinking I could still use these when travelling but ya girl is broke! I ain't going aywhere! No ma'am. I know these are waaay past their expiration date and never been opened so I just said Auf Wiedersehen to them.

Hey hey my peooles, long time no astro post lol. Anywho, I decided to get back into the groove imma just slap some astro notes onto the blog and hope i reignite my fervor for astrology. hi anon. before i get into this i love you. i love when people ask me about this kinda stuff. makes me so happy. cosmetic chemistry autism.

ALSO to get your primer thing out of the way: i dont rlly use it but ive heard good things about the ELF one and my sister swears by the NYX one and her base is rlly good. so.

also i'd look on the following websites / stores:

sephora for western brands / mainstream kbeauty yesstyle for korean and japanese stuff chic decent or individual websites for chinese beauty (i usually get mine in person tho)

under the cut cause its long af. also i linked to some products but none of this is sponsored or affiliate or anything im just linking cause i like em 👍

OK FIRST OF ALLL. starting w skincare.

i would break down your routine into three main parts: -cleansing -moisturizing / hydrating -SPF

if you wanna get fancy, you can do exfoliation between cleansing and hydrating. but you really dont have to do that if u dont want to

first: cleansing

if you wanna wear makeup you should have a good way to take it off. no. no put the makeup wipes down. they aren't efficient and u will go through SO many of them. and they're a pain and can irritate ur skin w all the wiping (trust me on this one LOL)

i would recommend using an oil based product for this!! melts ur makeup OFFFF like crazy + even if you don't use makeup it will leave ur skin super clean ^__^ ALSO you should apply this to DRY SKIN and wash it off with lukewarm water (the oil emulsifies w water and also very cold water can make it harder to remove)

if you want an oil-based makeup remover for quick removal w a cotton pad: clinique take the day off (47cad ) this one is expensive tbh and isn't as effective as the others BUT. it takes a lot less energy to use + can be done quickly. if you want a cleanser that will take off your makeup incredibly well while washing ur face: kose softymo speedy cleanser (18cad) this is my absolute FAV. i use it allll the time it works so so well and ive reccomended it to tons of ppl before and theyve all liked it. if you want a cleansing balm for heavier makeup: clean-it zero cleansing balm original (30cad) i haven't tried this one myself, but i've heard VERY good things about it.

next i would follow that up with a water based cleanser (so foaming or gel). this will help to wash away all the stuff that the oil cleanser has loosened up and will wash away leftover oil cleanser.

my FAVOURITE is the senka perfect whip cleanser (14.50cad) i adore this stuff!! ive heard some people find it very drying but i havent had that issue? idk i've also heard good things about this beauty of joseon green plum gel cleanser (14.70 cad) but i haven't used it myself. huge fan of BOJ tho!!

(this is the part where you would exfoliate if you wanted to. for a chemical exfoliant i use the giant bottle of clinique stuff my aunt got me but its not worth the price tbh. u could also try the beauty of joseon apricot peeling gel (14.70cad) IF your skin can handle it. its a physical exfoliant tho so be careful. i also enjoy the pixi glow tonic. u can get this at like shoppers or cvs or somethign idk)

second: hydrating and moisturizing

okay so. this is super important if you do a lot of makeup and thus have to wash it away thoroughly.

i start with a hydrating toner. this helps to add water to your skin and smooth it (adding water before moisturizer is a good idea bc the moisturizers will both add moisture and lock in hydration from any prev products)

i use the the I'm from rice toner (38 cad but on sale rn) which is my absolute absolute FAAAV toner. super hydrating super perfect and beautiful. stunning. (you've probably seen people talk about the cosrx snail mucin, and it is nice i will admit. but do NOT use it if you are allergic to shellfish or dust, apparently. also apply it right after your hydrating toner, it needs to be on wet skin)

then i go in with a moisturizer!! i like to use ones with niacinimide or other humectants.

my go-to is the innisfree jeuju cherry blossom dewey glow jelly (35cad) she's so important to meee <3 love her. all time fav. it is SCENTED tho, so if you don't like that, try: beauty of joseon red bean water gel (17.80cad) super lightweight and has no noticeable scent. ive heard very good things and my friend is trying it soon ^__^

this is THE most important step. sunscreen. wear sunscreen.

apply your sunscreen under your makeup in the morning, and throughout the day. if you wanna reapply using a sun stick, that's great!!! but don't use a sun stick as your ONLY protection.

also i'd avoid pure mineral sunscreens unless you have a legit allergy to chemical ones. mineral sunscreens are not as good and a lot of the marketing is iffy. also they leave a white cast which is esp noticeable on darker skin. mineral + chemical ones are usually fine tho :-)

my fav sunscreen is the biore UV aqua rich watery gel / watery essence (26cad) legit the best feeling sunscreen i have EVER used. my friends who hate sunscreen like this one. there's also the beauty of joseon rice probiotic releif sun cream (24cad) which is very nice too!! not my fav but a lot of people swear by it for reapplying throughout the day, i would use the beauty of joseon matte sun stick (24cad). ive heard super good things but ihavent tried it cause im finishing my other sun stick rn lol

this is all fairly basic stuff since u said you were new to it, but i can also go thru some less necessary, more fancy products if you ever need.

as for makeup, my favourite brands are:

and i've heard really good things about / want to try:

I wanted to ask you if you could please elaborate on the importance of dressing up and looking your best to attract newer and better opportunities.

I feel like after years of radical feminism brainwashing, I completely let myself go, stopped caring about my appearance and I feel like I started deteriorating from the inside (because make up and high heels and fashion and skincare are all oppressive 😑😐).

I'm saying feminism brainwash because I used to be very careful about my appearance and to be always presentable and I used to like that. Now that I'm out of college, I realised I seriously need to step up my networking game and land a good job opportunity, so how much do you think taking care of one's appearance can have effect on the success of a person?

These are just my personal opinions. So, if something doesn’t resonate with you personally, that’s totally okay!

I grew up with a mother and grandmother who taught me that you never leave the house looking a mess unless it’s an emergency, and I’ve carried that sentiment over into my adult life. The aura you exude is more important than anything, but people who deny that your physical appearance will get you ahead in a professional/competitive setting are not telling the truth.

• looking good

• feeling good

• doing good

• attracting good

Even though it may not be the same for everyone, for me personally, those four concepts are intertwined on my journey to success.

In aviation particularly, everyday has to be your Sunday’s best, because most everyone is physically attractive. That’s just the truth. A large fraction of job is looking presentable, which I’m sure you’re aware of if you’ve flown on an aircraft or seen flight crews walking through the airport. I can’t really speak to other professions because the only other “professional” job I’ve had was zookeeping.

I was never drawn to radical feminism, but I have read several of their essays and think pieces over the years here on tumblr. So, I will speak on it. You’re right to call feminism brainwashing. Anything that strips you of your individuality or denies the personal power you have over your life as an individual is brainwashing.

In western society, we are past the idea of women’s rights, so God bless the women who paved the way for all of what we have. As a woman, I have every right that a man has. Will I face discrimination for being female sometimes? Maybe, but women enable this behavior when they get pregnant and having sons, so the complaining they do has never fully made sense to me. Facing discrimination is different from having no rights, and I feel like radfems fight tooth and nail to conflate the two which is intellectually dishonest. If you want to see women who are truly oppressed, waltz over to the Middle East. I rarely see radfems talk about these women. Why is that?

When people say “Women have all the rights men have” The first thing feminists will point to is abortion (Roe v. Wade) They totally disregard the fact that women have right not to have sex and will call you privileged if you point this out. Another tactic I’ve noticed is that they use victims of sexual assault as a weapon. Well who created the male who sexually assaulted? You see? And this is why I don’t engage with them because it’s a never ending cycle and they refuse to acknowledge the truth. They’re mad at themselves for what they’re creating. They should just stop but they’re not interested in stopping because they thrive off of being the victim. I think it’s in every woman’s best interests to embrace her power, focus on her own personal/spiritual growth and not involve herself with hive minds and ideologies. Just my opinion.

I am under the impression that most (western) modern day radical feminists want to suffer under males, because that means they will have someone to blame for all their problems instead of looking in the mirror and taking responsibility. They wish for all women to let themselves go so that there are less women to compete with. Trying to control what other women do with their lives and bodies is tyrannical. Women should liberate themselves how they see fit. If they feel liberated, for whatever reason, by wearing wigs, false eyelashes, nails, layers upon layers of makeup, heels that destroy their feet, making an Only Fans account LET THEM! If nose jobs, lip filling, fashion nova, and BBL is what makes them feel free, allow them that. It’s not anyone else job to decide what feels liberating to the next human being. Even though that’s not what’s appealing to me, I have no desire to change them because that’s their path. If they don’t want to leave the house without make up on, that’s not my problem because I can. So, why would I worry about them? If they genuinely asked me for help or advice, I would do my best, but that’s not the case. When those females tell me I don’t know anything about makeup or dressing up, I don’t get offended because we’re not the same and that’s okay! Radical feminists spend all of their time trying to be dictators and control other females instead of just letting everyone be who they are and loving them anyway. They choose to neglect themselves and get bitter when other females don’t follow suit.

Radical feminism tells women that it’s bad to want to look nice because that means you’re trying to attract a man. And to that I say well what about me? I’m a lesbian. Men’s sexual desires mean nothing to me. I’m sure they’d come up with some complex patriarchal reasoning instead of just admitting that some people like fashion and self expression. You can’t accuse lesbians or asexual/celibate women of contributing to the patriarchy by wearing sparkly eyeshadow and heels when you’re laid up in bed next to a man every night. Not every woman is to secretly trying to get a male, which is a foreign concept to them. this is why they don’t believe in real lesbians and have used real lesbians as pawns in their movement from the get go. The idea of someone dressing up or putting on make up to make themselves feel good is nonexistent to them because their entire lives revolve around men and what men are thinking/feeling/doing. They’re obsessed and they project it onto every other woman. So, wear what you want because they will say that you’re pandering even if you’re bare faced in ballet flats and yoga pants. Trust me on this one, do you and follow the path that is in alignment with your spirit.

While I believe that there is pretty privilege, I also believe that if you are a good looking woman (whether your beauty is conventional or unconventional), a lot of people will write you off as stuck up or stupid and bully or “humble” you, even when you’ve done nothing wrong. I’ve experienced it and I know many other women who have experienced the exact same thing. Radfems would never admit this because it would shatter their idea that women can do no harm. I’ve had people say that they thought I was stuck up before they even talked to me because of my figure and the way I look, explain that??? What does my body type and face have to do with who I am as a person? Is that not discrimination? Is that not dehumanization? Should I start a cult of attractive, pear shaped women talking about how we’re oppressed by other women and males lusting after us? No, because it doesn’t matter. Men will stare and women will be unkind, and it’s my God given right to ignore them.

My ultimate advice, woman to woman, is if looking pretty makes you feel more confident, do that! When you are confident, you take more risks and you feel more comfortable engaging with others which will help you succeed. Most careers are not looking to hire an impersonal antisocial. I will say that if you can’t leave the house without make up, if you don’t feel beautiful in just a T-shirt and jeans, if you can’t go a night without skipping your skincare routine, that’s an obsession. Relying solely on external factors for your confidence means you have a lot of work to do internally on your aura and spirit. It’s always important to remember that beauty is in the eye of the beholder and when you have a beautiful aura, you naturally spread beauty to others no matter what you look like or what you have on.
