Born to a wealthy heritage, Iseult grew up knowing she was different. Her connection to animals was known in myth, but was a magic long absent from the people of the second kingdom except for her older sister. The golden haired princess understood the loneliness of being different; she was enchanted upon birth as well. They grew up only trusting each other. After a devastating tragedy, Iseult's hair instantly turned from auburn to icy white. She isolated in her room for a year and upon emerging was noted as being quieter and exceedingly solemn. Unfortunately, Queen Eira and King Boreas were not young when they conceived their princesses and passed away shortly before Iseult's twenty-eighth name day. Only a few years younger than her sister, they agreed to rule together. Although the original Targaryen families and those who chose to follow them beyond the Wall originally migrated as one, altering opinions and claims divided the people. To avoid unnecessary bloodshed each settled a lengthy distant apart. The accompanying ice dragon chose alignment with the first kingdom, called such since it was formed by the king and queen who first proposed travel beyond the Wall (to part from the continents' continuing wars and disputes). With white walkers and wildings growing more bold, both kingdoms grew restless, worried the ice dragons aging would keep her from protecting them should full on attacks arise. Iseult -- with the whisperings on her sister in her ear -- rashly challenged the first kingdom for the dragon's allegiance, thus inciting turmoil between the former allies.

YOU. Youre the one that sent me down a (book)arya love rabbit hole all those years ago!!! I just got back on tumblr, so HI and THANKS. Show arya was fine but shes so precious in the books I love her 💖 Anyways, I literally just sent this to westerosiladies but I cant not ask you: thoughts on Amelie Lens/Marine Vacth as Lyanna or older Arya? Marine has a soft, beautiful look with a few wilder photos, but I love how striking Amelie looks. Cant decide between the two for fanart face ref lol

i'm so incredibly happy to know i influenced you love arya even more and to know our girl in her true book form! i have no idea how i managed to do that, but the fact that i did feels my heart!

and about the faceclaims: i think you might have found one of the best book!arya so far in amelie lens, she resembles a lot of what i think she looks like. if she had lighter eyes, i think she'd be a perfect fit?

while i love most of the faceclaims and fancasts we have, most of them lack something that i deem essential in arya's characterization: the long nose. she has a long nose that makes her face be perceived as different and probably what makes her be called "horseface". something that isn't beautiful in a obvious way when you're a child, especially when other children are talking about you (we all know children can be mean about or phisical features).

anyway, i think you ACED this!! i like marine vacth's features too, but i see a lot of an older arya in amelie lens's aspect. i might use her from now on as reference when writting arya's appearance, so thank you so much!!
