-Runs back into the room from having been wrapped up in the Sub Shitshow- context PLEASE on what’s up with Putin!?
Lol okay buckle up:
Yevgeny Prighozin is (well, as of now) one of Putin's closest allies. He is Putin's former chef and now the CEO of Wagner Group, the Russian private army of mercenaries who have spent a decade plundering Africa and destroying Syria in the employ of various terrible local dictators. Since the invasion of Ukraine, Wagner has become one of the Russian army's mainstays, mostly because they're the only ones who seem able to actually do anything. Of course, it did still take them nine months to take Bakhmut, Ukraine's *checks notes* 53rd largest city with very little strategic value, but given what a shitshow the regular Russian army has been, that's good. Or something.
The Russian army is mostly good at destroying dams and bombing civilians, which are obviously terrible for many reasons, but not that useful in the military scheme of things.
However, Wagner are also -- I hasten to stress -- thoroughly terrible people. Aside from all the shit in Africa and Syria, they've done likewise in Ukraine and will continue to do so. Legally speaking, they technically "don't exist," which has allowed them to get around a lot of the usual rules and regulations that are supposed to "bind" (ha) the Russian army. They are obviously in Ukraine directly at Putin's behest and doing Putin's bidding, but it turns out that giving an ambitious and amoral psychopathic warlord his own private army of criminals, rapists, killers, and whoever else they can dredge out of Russia's prisons to throw at the front line and die en masse may not be a good idea?
Shocking, I know.
Anyway, Prigozhin has spent months ripping into the Russian Minister of Defense, Sergei Shoigu, for what a whole shitshow clusterfuck this whole stupid war patently is. (Not, however, that this has stopped him from continuing to eagerly carry it out, since he's just as much or indeed even more of a zealot as the rest of Putin's government.) This has included blaming Shoigu for equipment losses, underprovisioning of Wagner troops, general strategic numbnuttery, etc. Prigozhin has not, however -- again, until now -- attacked Putin directly, or backed off from getting his losers killed in Bakhmut and/or wherever else. One suspects that Putin has been perfectly happy to let Prigozhin scapegoat Shoigu for the war's failures, since this means Shoigu can always just conveniently fall out a window or something if it gets too necessary to make a public show of displeasure, and not Putin.
HOWEVER, things took a turn VERY FAST today, within about 12 hours. Prigozhin has, as noted, spent months tearing the Russian military leadership a new asshole -- not because he's a good guy (he's a fucking war criminal on like, 10 different levels), but because it is plainly obvious what a shitshow this is and even a war criminal has his limits as to how much totally pointless murderous bullshit he wants to go through, I guess. (That includes telling the truth about why the war started -- i.e. to steal Ukrainian stuff/land for the oligarchs, and not any of Putin's other stupid excuses.)
Today (June 23) Prigozhin accused the Russian Ministry of Defense of orchestrating a rocket attack on Wagner's camp in eastern Ukraine (near the Russian border) and causing massive casualties;
We don't have proof of this yet, or indeed much else of what Prigozhin is talking about, BUT he finally decided to put his Coup Hat On and get serious about "punishing" Russian military leadership, i.e. presumably Shoigu, declaring that "there are 25,000 of us [Wagner soldiers] and we're coming into Russia to sort out this chaos"
So -- again, according to Prigozhin, who is not the world's most reliable source on anything -- he turned his army of yoinks around, left Ukraine, and marched into the southwestern Russian city of Rostov-on-Don, where the Russian military command in charge of the assault on Ukraine is headquartered;
For a while, there was nothing but Prigozhin's various unhinged rants on Telegram to prove any of this, but it's now early tomorrow morning in Russia and there are indeed a lot of videos of what DOES IN FACT LOOK like Wagner mercenaries rolling into Rostov and storming Ministry of Defense buildings;
Firm information on what is going on is almost nonexistent, even for Russia, but Putin is clearly taking this seriously; Moscow is shut down, there are armored vehicles on the streets, Google is down in Russia, and Russian newscasters are interrupting their broadcasts to insist Don't Look, Everything Is Fine Here, Totally Fine, Do You Hear Swan Lake? I Don't Hear Swan Lake!
Nobody can find Putin either, allegedly, but don't worry! He has been "briefed on the situation and everything is under control!"
The Russian FSB (successor to the KGB) has meanwhile issued a warrant for Prigozhin's arrest, said they'll charge/prosecute him for treason and armed rebellion against the state, and ordered him to stand down/his own men to arrest him
This, uh, does not appear to be working
ANYWAY, Putin's basically fucked no matter how this ends. Wagner literally just led an armed mutiny, he can't feel good about sending his ex-bestie Prigozhin back to Ukraine with any confidence that his orders will continue to be obeyed, it's Russian-on-Russian open war in the streets of Rostov and God knows where else, he's totally lost control of the narrative, the war, the domestic political situation, Wagner, probably good chunks of the Russian military command/elite establishment, etc., and we all know what happens to dictators in Russia who can no longer dictate
(And yet the Russian army is still finding time to lob some missiles at civilian buildings in Kyiv tonight, because they suck).
This is obviously a huge lucky break for Ukraine as well, since if the Russians are busy fighting each other, they can continue to push for a big breakthrough on their counteroffensive.
So yeah. Pride Month really wheeling out the big guns here, after Putin was the top option picked for Lady Karma to do her thing on in my poll a few weeks ago.
Stay tuned.

oh my here we go.
so today Russian ‘court’ (and I will refer to any and governing body institutions in quotes because no, they hold no power, they were never elected, they are not mine, never have been and never will be) has declared LGBTQ+ outlaw. What it means? In short, every queer person in Russia is now in extreme danger.
It’s nothing new. The insane which hunt has begun a few years ago. Now of course the whole rhetoric is based on innate ignorance, homophobia, transphobia and hatred to anybody who’s not straight or holds ‘traditional values’ not to mention the desire of the ‘government’ to be so unlike ‘the west’, it’s a classic we vs them type of propaganda. For them it’s a tool. Keeping people frightened is a tool. Don’t think for a second that they are doing it based on some sort of belief system. No. They don’t have it. Which is much worse. They’re doing it as a last resort. You see, no matter what the media is telling you (yes your media is lying to you too? that’s what it’s meant to do now, it’s coming from someone with a degree in journalism), there’s no actual way to know how many people support or don’t support the war. Any and all ‘statistics’ you might see or hear are extremely inaccurate. Why? Well let’s see! 1) If it’s a state controlled media, it’s obvious: they want the world to see the perfect picture of a ‘strong Russia’ which they know is not true, and since ALL the media that operates in Russia IS state controlled, they’re out of the question. 2) Let’s take any international media then you say, they’re no better. Why? Well let’s see! They have no reliable sources as well. Any polls you see hold no value. People are scared and silenced, no one will truthfully answer the ‘do you support the war on Ukraine and putin’ truthfully because they know they can go to jail, hell, they will lie if they have to. So yes, even information from reliable media isn’t reliable. Clear? Clear.
Now. Why it’s important. Because the ‘laws’ that are being enforced, are a clear sign that nothing is like it seems. The unrest is clear, from all sides as well: those who oppose the war and those who support (they’re not really happy which makes me happy, suck it) and the ‘government’ has to go to extreme lengths to please the second group and to uphold the idea of stability and ‘having it under control’. They know they can’t stop those striving for peace, they’ve already done everything to ensure people don’t speak up - from jailing them to making them flee, to kidnapping, to murdering them - and people still do.
The regime is crumbling. It’s something to keep in mind. The signs are there. They’re running around like headless chickens and trying to something. If you don’t know, they’re trying to abolish women’s rights to abortions, it’s going quite successfully for them, as state after state is creating ‘laws’ banning them. Their hunt of LGBTQ+ people came to the grand conclusion today. The peak of their evil. It’s crumbling but people will suffer and many will have their mental and physical health destroyed in the process. It’s not the price anyone should pay but it’s a small, tiny silver lining for all my Russian queers: don’t give up, hold on, stay safe. If you don’t feel save, please don’t feel pressured to do anything that might put you in danger. We need you healthy and free. You’re not alone, as much as they want you to think otherwise.
You’re loved, you’re cherished, you’re important. ❤️

Why I hate the '89 天安门广场 protests
In 1991, the Soviet Union was illegally dissolved. A few years later, the piece-meal destruction of Yugoslavia ended in war and genocide. The western, liberal/neoliberal world celebrated their destruction of state socialism. What had they accomplished?
CW: child prostitution, drug use, violence, death
Child prostitution in post-USSR Russia during the 1990s
The Children of Leningradskiy
Homeless children drug use
1993 constitutional crisis protests
These videos are about Russia only. There were 15 republics in the USSR. The dissolution of the USSR was an unmitigated humanitarian and economic disaster. All standards of life metrics from income to lifespan dropped to the floor. The GDP of Russia plummeted. Billionaires, bureaucrats, and especially foreign capital snatched up formerly Soviet state assets for pennies and reduced millions to poverty and destitution. At least 12 million people died as a DIRECT result of the dissolution of the USSR. Look at the former USSR: 15-20 countries (depending on who you ask) fighting each other in perpetual regional warfare. The concrete and cement plants in Turkmenistan sit empty and decaying. The Ukrainian shipyards on the Black sea, too.
So why bring up the USSR or Yugoslavia at all? Because they are a case and point in why you cannot let attempted color revolutions and liberalization protests take hold. The imperialists found that by employing this trick, of 'peaceful protests' they can destabilize then split apart nations then rob them blind. When a color revolution succeeds, people suffer on an unbelievable scale. The protestors in the USSR during glasnost wanted liberalization of the economy, freedom, democracy, so on and so forth, the usual western imperialist dog whistles. What they got was Yeltsin (and later Putin), poverty, and death.
Thankfully, the color revolution in China failed. It was crushed. so now we have a compare-and-contrast game (how fun!!!) between the handling of color revolutions in the USSR and in China. The MATERIAL EFFECT of the color revolutions in the former Soviet-bloc was the destruction of state socialism, the robbing of state assets, the destitution of the whole population, the penetration of foreign capital, the splitting of a once unified country into warlord states. On the other hand, the Chinese state remained and by 2020, eliminated absolute poverty.
IF the protestors had gotten what they wanted, IF the Chinese state was destroyed, we would see the EXACT same thing that happened to Yugoslavia, the USSR, East Germany, Czechoslovakia, Albania, and so on and so on repeat here. Except on an UNIMAGINABLE scale. 1.1 BILLION people were living in China in 1990. 1.1 BILLION reduced to poverty like you see in those videos, if not worse. Hundreds of billions of dollars of state assets in banks, factories, military, science, would have been stolen. Every bit of progress that Mao had accomplished would be rolled back to line the pockets of western imperialists. The country would most definitely be split up into warring regions, Xinjiang, TIbet, the Northeast, the Southwest, as much carnage as can be wrought to a people. THIS is the material reality that would greet the Chinese people if the '89 protestors got what they wanted.
They were chanting for child prostitution. For mass slavery. For mass poverty. For mass starvation. They stood on the side of the most evil entity to ever grace this planet. I will never forgive them.
Some reading on the '89 protests

How does a state become fascist? How did Russia do it?
A special kind of nationalism is needed here. To convince people that you were once great. That once you were a military empire — and then you were humiliated. This is what Hitler once said: “Germany was great, had colonies in Africa, but we were humiliated at Versailles
Under the terms of the Versailles Peace Treaty of 1919, which ended the First World War, Germany had to get rid of its numerous colonies in Africa, China and Micronesia, cede significant territories in Europe and pay reparations to the victorious states of the war in the amount of $442 billion at 2012 prices.. Our empire was taken from us, and our people in other countries and former territories faced genocide. We need a strong ruler to come and restore our empire. To show that we are a big powerful player. And Iʼm ready to do it.”
Putin behaved the same way. He even said that if Russia does not regain its greatness, it will destroy the world.
Also, often in countries that become fascist, there are many economic problems. And nationalism, this feeling of power, can replace food — you will draw your happiness from this feeling, or from the awareness of yourself as a German or a white American. After that, you say that representative democracy is evil. That it allows the existence of LGBT people and the like, that the state is weak because of democracy. Fascism appeals to conservative, religious people who would not call themselves fascists. He tells them: we will protect you from your children becoming gay, from someone destroying your churches. And they often call all their opponents communists. And they get votes. Sound familiar, right?
[...]
It is ironic that the Russians, who were once rightly regarded as the victors over fascism and who now practice fascism, call their war "anti-fascist."
It is necessary to pay attention not to words, but to ideology. Putin can say that he is a liberator — but he is closer to Hitler than to Brezhnev, to Peter I than to communists. And this is an important argument in favor of why the Russians should not leave a single piece of Ukrainian land. For the same reasons why it was not possible to leave, for example, Warsaw under the Nazis.
Now Putin is talking about Ukrainians like Hitler was talking about Jews. He says that there can be no Ukrainians, only Russians, and that all Ukrainians are actually Russians. This position means that he is going to get rid of everyone who speaks the Ukrainian language. That is why all this delusion of the West about territorial concessions must stop.

“Putin kills whoever he wants, be it an opposition leader, or anyone else who seems as the target exactly to him. “After the murder of Alexei Navalny, it’s absurd to perceive Putin as a supposedly legitimate head of a Russian state and he is a thug who maintains power through corruption and violence.” “He has just yesterday tried to send us all a clear message as the Munich Security Conference opened, Putin murdered another opposition leader. “So please, let’s not fear Putin’s defeat and the destruction of his regime. Let’s instead work together to destroy what he stands for. It is his fate to lose, not the fate of the rules based world order to vanish.” “Do not ask Ukraine when the war will end. Ask yourselves why Putin is still able to continue it.”
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's response to Putin's terrorism, including his murder of Alexei Navalny in prison yesterday. Note especially: Putin has NO legitimacy and the modern Russian state he has created has NO legitimacy. This is a terror state that built an infrastructure to protect the endless self-enrichment of thieves, and which murders anyone who gets in the way of that goal. Such a terrorist infrastructure also needs to invade other countries in order to maintain power. PUTIN MUST BE STOPPED NOW.

There are no more dog whistles. No code words. No efforts to hide the truth. When it comes to democracy, Republicans are against it. Trump: We’ve been waging an all out war on American democracy pic.twitter.com/4YQDfsvTwi— Acyn (@Acyn) December 2, 2023 That little nugget may have been just one of the endless series of mistakes, slip-ups, and misstatements that the media seems willing to overlook when it comes to Donald Trump. But even if that’s the case, you don’t have to go far to understand what Trump has in mind for America. There’s “Agenda47,” where Trump promises to expand the death penalty, end birthright citizenship, and create giant “tent cities” for homeless people. And there’s the Heritage Foundation’s Project 2025, which lays out plans to destroy the Department of Justice and replace tens of thousands of career federal employees with conservatives pledged to Trump’s will. But this past week, it seems that major media outlets woke up enough to realize that whistling past the Chancellery may not be the best idea. As The New York Times reported on Monday, Trump’s plan for moving the country into authoritarian control is now more sophisticated, and the systems that are supposed to safeguard democracy have all been weakened. It’s not that Trump hasn’t always been a radical fan of authoritarian rule. “When the students poured into Tiananmen Square, the Chinese government almost blew it,” Donald J. Trump said in an interview with Playboy magazine the year after the massacre. “Then they were vicious, they were horrible, but they put it down with strength. That shows you the power of strength. Our country is right now perceived as weak.” It’s just that the first time around, Trump seemed unprepared for the idea that he couldn’t just step into the Oval Office and begin enjoying the despotic freedom of a Kim Jong Un or Vladimir Putin. This time, Trump and his allies seem to be pulling out all the stops to ensure that there are no stops. Not only has Trump been mimicking the language of the Nazi Party in describing his opponents as “vermin” and fretting that immigrants are “poisoning the blood of our country,” he’s also making it clear that he intends to take actions lifted from Germany circa 1939. Republicans have made the idea of invading Mexico practically a requirement for being a candidate in 2024, and Trump has sworn to get that done. Besides getting a little American lebensraum, Trump has also threatened to send military forces to take control of “Democratic cities.” Which would be all but three of America’s 20 largest cities and almost two-thirds of the top 100.
Any student of history - hell just current events - would know that countries are at their weakest when they stand alone against the world.
Just look at how weak Russia has become as a result of standing alone. They'll be lucky to get out of 2024 without handing over their east to China.

Why Kadyrov’s death will certainly be pleasant and joyful, but will not change the political situation in occupied Ichkeria
This is not the first time they have buried him and, unfortunately, most likely not the last. I would like to be wrong, but so far, this is the case. History shows that the abomination of the human race is tenacious like no other. Kadyrov’s potential death now is simply the death of the governor of the occupying russian government in Ichkeria. If this one dies, they will install a new one. In the same Ukrainian temporarily occupied territories, collaborators explode beautifully, but the army of russian occupiers knows only the language of physical destruction, and to destroy it, you need military and weapons, and also international support.
Whether Kadyrov is replaced by one of his offspring or, for example, a lord or Delimkhanov does not change the situation globally. Primarily because no one withdrew the russian army from Chechnya and the Caucasus as a whole. They weren’t even transferred to Ukraine. In Chechnya, they “love” Putin and Russia so much (and Kadyrov is precisely the russian government) that this requires a regular armed professional army of one hundred thousand. In Chechnya, they “love” Putin (and before that Yeltsin) and Russia so much that they have been destroying a small nation for 30 years.
Today, occupied Ichkeria is an “Akhmat” concentration camp. When russians shout about the “Chechenization of Russia”🤡 they, as usual, can not take russian propaganda out of their mouths. Inhuman torture and genocide were brought to Chechnya by russia and the federals (occupier army), and not vice versa.
Russian propaganda is far from just “Kremlin” - so-called. “Independent” russian media work for the russian world and support for the occupation of Ichkeria - news about every fart of Kadyrov and practically nothing about the Chechen battalions fighting for Ukraine since 2014. There is little about how they torture and kill - unless it is about the persecution of homosexuals. And so they persecute - kidnap, torture, execute - everyone in general.
By the way, about the Lord and Delimkhanov - they, together with Kadyrov, for example, personally torture and rape women. And no, these are not stupid funny clowns. These are terrible cruel people who kill ordinary people with impunity. This is also normal for Westerns. Westerns deport Chechens from the resistance to Russia, who are then tortured and killed there.
Lyulya (Kadyrov) and his image are part of russian propaganda. That clever part of it in which the New York Times publishes an article about “Putin’s opponent” Girkin. “Kadyrov’s men” are part of the russian army, but the “independent Russian media” call it “Chechen troops”🤡
Kadyrov is a squalor and a cruel creature, but they comment on his every fart, making all Chechens look like stupid idiots - only covertly “ч*рки”. They don’t name it, but the image takes shape. Compare Lyulya with Dudayev, Maskhadov, Isa Munayev, Muslim Cheberloevsky - these are the representatives of the “Chechen troops”, this is the army of Ichkeria.
Today, five (!) Chechen units are fighting for the freedom of Ukraine and the independence of Ichkeria, and volunteers keep coming and going - the russ cutter is sacred. And this is the hope for justice. "Why don’t the Chechens rebel?" - that is, military resistance - absolutely fierce, which is now constantly at the forefront of making the russians truly good - is this not resistance? There are only less than two million Chechens - this is the Odesa region in terms of the number of people. Which has been destroyed not only over the last 30 years - cruelly and mercilessly, under the indifference of the rest of the world.
Despite the fact that the world does not care about Ichkeria, the Chechens fight - with weapons in their hands. What can a small people do in Chechnya itself, where a 100,000-strong russian army is fully armed? Once Ichkeria won a war with russia, for which it was punished with institutionalized genocide.
As soon as Ichkeria is not only recognized by the international community but also supported with weapons for military resistance to the russians - then all the occupiers inside and collaborators will be destroyed. In the meantime, we are fighting shoulder to shoulder with the Ukrainians for freedom and independence. Both our struggle and the fact that after such destruction of the nation, there is still resistance in spite of, not thanks to.
Today, we are fighting for the free world. A world without a racist terrorist federation. We have a common enemy. The name of this enemy is russia.
Marşo ya joƶalla.

(As a ukrainian) I lost all hope in humanity forever ago and I'm pretty sure I won't change someone's opinion, but I just want to tell the truth that i cry about every time.
I didn't see my home for 2 years. When I was there all I heard was explosions, bombs and warplanes. I saw ruined houses. I saw my half-destroyed school near which a projectile fell. I saw fire, smoke, a lot of it. I was in there. I heard all this. I heard. I saw. with my own eyes and ears. And what did you see and heard in the west, saying "This is all just Ukrainian propaganda"?
I was in the metro and saw hundreds of my fellow citizens, that a few months ago were casually going in this metro to their jobs, schools, universities etc. Some were sitting on the floor, some on old crusty carpets, with no fresh air, no normal ability just to go pee, not even talking about washing. But they were there just to be safe. Just to not die. They didn't care about hygiene, warm food and bath, delicious drink in their favorite café, all they did care about was just surviving.
Then I heard about Bucha massacre (read about this, if you think "russian soldiers are just poor people who don't want war and against Putin!!"). I heard hundreds women, children, men being raped, killed, tortured and firstly I was shocked. Then I heard about Irpin, Mariupol', Izium, Bahmut, now Avdiivka and many other ukrainian cities, that were completely destroyed by russians. But the difference is now I'm not shocked or surprised. Because now I understand this is Russian world, Russian culture, whole Russia in general.
But no one cares. No one cares about genocide, if the victim is big country in the center of Europe (even though every country has many people of color, and the biggest country in the world terrorizes it).
I saw a girl in the tiktok that was telling about the film "20 days in Mariupol". I looked in the comments and started crying. Why am I, my family, my friends, all ukrainians supposed to suffer while some westerns and russians are just laughing and saying "slava russia"?
Many people were talking about Gaza and I agree, there is total hell in Gaza and I feel very sorry for Palestinian people. I know how it is. But what gives YOU, a person that is sitting in the safe place with all basical human needs and think a war is just some trend, the right to compare the DEATHS of people that DIED from GENOCIDE and say that one GENOCIDE is less bad than another.
I'm not saying that we are suffering more than Palestinians, I'm saying that it's just so cruel to normalize deaths of people.. any people. That DON'T HURT anybody. That just want to live in a free country.
If I say, boycott Israel, all people from Israel are terrorists, people will agree with me. But when I say Russia is the terrorist, people will say "No, you're just xenophobic!"... And the genocide of my people is NOT xenophobic?? And the hundreds of years of destruction of Ukrainian culture is not xenophobic??
"What about Gaza?"
Gaza needs help. Ukraine needs help. Congo needs help. Syria needs help. No one should suffer. THAT'S my point.
Did you hear something about Holodomor in Ukraine? About MILLIONS of Ukrainians that died because soviet government were taking LITERALLY EVERY FUCKING BREAD CRUMB?? around 3.9 million ukrainians died. And this is only according to official data. These are only people whose identities have been established. It does not take into account people who were missing, or who were just horribly maimed.
If you still think I'm an ukrainian propagandist and not some fucking random teen like you who's just sharing my thoughts, read about Holodomor in Kazakhstan, first Russian-Chechen war, SECOND Russian-Chechen war, Russian-Georgian war, Russia’s invasion of Syria, Illegal occupation of Crimea and Donbas or just anything that involves Russia and war crimes.
If you're still saying this is all propaganda, Photoshop, I'm not surprised. Of course, everything around is propaganda. But not your beautiful truthful swamp.
Sometimes I just wish I was in yours shoes. Not caring about anything.
I don't care what russia supporting bots will say, I don't care people will not believe me, I just want to feel alive again.

How to recognize tankies?
I've seen many ignorant people reblogging from tankies since the war in Ukraine begun so I thought to make a simple info so you know what you are dealing with.
What is a tankie?
"Tankie" is a label for Stalinists, who supports the authoritarian tendencies of Marxism-Leninism, also called red fascists. A Tankie is an apologist for the crimes against humanity perpetrated by Marxist-Leninist regimes, particularly the Soviet Union under Joseph Stalin. More broadly, the term may refer to any leftist who is perceived to defend authoritarian regimes on the basis that they are enemies of the United States. This can include regimes that are not and do not claim to be communist such as those of Vladimir Putin in Russia. More detailed info of the history and the definition here.
What tankies blog about?
Basically one of the reasons tankies get more visibility now is that they can hide behind being against the US imperialism which resonates with other leftists. One big difference between other leftists and the tankies is the genocide denial and basically prioritizing "destroying" the US or other enemy over actual human lives like in current situation in Ukraine. Example:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
They also talk about "succesful revolutions" but deny or trivialize any bloodshed or famine that has been part of the outcome.
Tumblr media
One quite common trait for tumblr tankies is that they are from Americas, whether from the US etc. or South-America, and therefore far removed from anything that happened under Stalin's regime or what happens right now in Ukraine.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Misinformation?
One other quality of the tankies is that they use mainly sources curated by their parties or other tankies. In their circles they have different definitions of commonly used words such as imperialism:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
They also tend to question the definition of the term genocide and claim that other such words, that might be used to describe the deeds of their so called socialist states in bad light, are just "liberal anticommunist buzzwords", for example: totalitarianism.
And for a lazy conclusion, go figure it out and be critical of your sources, this post included.

Weird how supporting Ukraine in Russia's war of aggression is an NPC move and not really worth supporting (with many right-wingers actually supporting Russia) but supporting Israel is totally based and the only right thing to do.
Thank you anon, I've been waiting for some idiot to try and compare these two things. So let's list some of the ways the two situations are different.
Ukraine is not our ally. Israel is.
Ukraine provoked Russia by trying to join NATO, which was specifically forbidden by an agreement NATO had with Russia. Israel did nothing to provoke Hamas other than refuse to be genocided by religious fanatics.
Ukranian independence means nothing for the United States. Our situation is exactly the same no matter who wins that war. Israel is the only democracy in the middle east. It's the only country that has nukes in the middle east. Its existence draws the attention of terrorist states that would otherwise turn their violence back towards us. Its existence gives the various Islamic factions, many of which hate each other almost as much as they hate Jews or America, something to focus on instead of having the fundamentalists immediately go to war with the arab nations that are slowly westernizing. I can't overstate how much a stable, westernized middle east would benefit the US, and Israel's existence is important for that goal.
Russia is a legit government that declared war on another legit government. Hamas is a terrorist organization pretending to be a government that raided Israel, kidnapped and raped hundreds of people, murdered civilians, slaughtered babies, and stole children.
Russia has nukes. Hamas doesn't. If Putin is backed into a corner there's a decent chance he'll use those nukes. If Russia loses the war and that leads to Putin being ousted and a fight for power in Russia, those nukes could be stolen or sold to foreign powers that want to destroy the US and the west. If Russia collapses, then the chances of those nukes going outside of Russia increases drastically.
Those are just a few ways the two situations are different, and why any comparison between the two is stupid and ignorant. Now, if you want to know my personal thoughts, since I know people like you love to pretend that all right wingers have the exact same opinions on everything and demand we prostrate ourselves and self-flagellate over things we've never said, I'll readily admit that I have a deep sympathy for the historic, and modern, plight of the Jews that I don't have for Ukrainians. I'm much more emotionally invested in Israel than I am in Ukraine. But I do hope Ukraine wins. I think every country and every culture should be free to govern itself. I don't support Putin, I don't support Russia, and I think it's hilarious that what used to be the second most powerful military in the world is having so much trouble conquering a tiny country they should have, on paper at least, steamrolled in a few weeks.
But I also don't support the US getting involved in foreign conflicts unless there's something tangible to be gained for us, either economically, strategically, or diplomatically. We get nothing for our investment in Ukraine. We get a lot for our investment in Israel.

Hwy dod we even need to send more money to Ukraine tho like we’ve already supported them plenty! But let Europe pull their weight and we can go back to spending that money on American policies
Do you read like, any news outside Tumblr, any Ukrainian perspectives, any basic analyses of the conflict, any rationale from Democrats or Congress, or anything? Because, in brief:
Ukrainians are currently facing a full-scale genocide. It has been going on for over a year and Russian military leadership has every plan to continue until fruition. If they stop resisting, there will be no more Ukraine or Ukrainians. So all the "appeasers" or "realists" insisting that Ukraine should "give up land for peace" (which notably worked so well with Czechoslovakia and Hitler in 1938) are basically deciding that it's fine to let the genocide be carried out, if it's even minorly inconvenient for us. Putin and cronies have repeatedly stated that if they are successful in taking Ukraine, they will go further. This is the exact scenario that leads to the "escalation" and/or WWIII that various people keep wringing their hands over. It is far more just and safe for Ukraine to be supported now and to stop that before it gets even worse.
America is not actually giving over buckets of black cash, regardless of what various bad-faith takes claim. They are handing over weapons valued at various amounts of money, along with some financial and budgetary aid. A lot of these weapons are older and would cost more to decommission than they cost to give to a sovereign democracy fighting for its life against an imperialist autocratic neighbor. This is some tiny amount like 5% (if that) of America's bloated military budget. And again: it's actual weapons valued at a certain dollar amount. These cannot be spent on American domestic policies.
The idea that helping Ukraine is directly coming out of our own pockets or preventing us from spending as needed on our own needs is propaganda. It is not good to repeat it.
I wrote this post the other day about why Putin is trying so hard to break American/Western support for Ukraine, and why the hard-right MAGA has enabled him in it. Putin's Russia is the motivating nexus, coordination, and funding center for Russian/European/American far-right theocratic fascism. This whole "America Only" is the exact rationale that appeals to said far-right domestic fascists and gives Putin and other imperial expansionist kleptocrats the justification to just throw away post-WWII international order and declare that any larger and more powerful state can systematically eradicate any neighboring country, claim its territory, destroy its government, kill its people, and get away with it. Because why would they stop, if there aren't any consequences and they are rewarded for it?
Putin has repeatedly interfered in American elections to help Trump and the Republicans. That should tell you something about who he sees as most favorable to his interests and what he would do again if allowed to emerge victorious.
Europe IS actually pulling its weight! They just brought all 27 defense ministers to Kyiv, they have been working on Ukraine's accession talks, they have committed all types of weapons (including the long-range missiles that the US still won't clearly authorize), they've committed a new tranche of 5 billion euros in long-term assistance, etc. But the whole "we should pull out of NATO and leave Europe to fend for itself" was a key isolationist and xenophobic Trump idea. We can see what that led to.
American aid is vital to Ukraine's continued existence as a sovereign country, period, and it is in American interests to continue to provide it as agreed upon. Not least because such an egregious betrayal of a democratic ally would empower the fascists of the world, both Russian and American, and because as noted, if this conflict was not stopped and got bigger, it would then involve American troops. It is a moral, democratic, political, and ethical imperative. This is not a difficult call or a complicated situation, regardless of what the Online Leftist tankies and the MAGA-world nutcases (because horseshoe theory) want you to think.
Слава Україні.
The end.

hypothetically, lets assume Putin does decide things are beyond salvaging and to let the nukes fly and no one in the entire chain of command decides to stop him. The button get pushed so to speak and... nothing happens. Turns out even Russia's nuclear program is a victim of corruption and now Russia has not even that as a tool or weapon.
Or worse they do fire off but all either blow up in the silos or on Russian territory and otherwise never make it out of Russian air space.
What sort of international response would you expect to that?
Those are two significantly different examples.
If Russian nuclear silos explode, irradiating the surrounding areas, that becomes a significant humanitarian catastrophe that requires international intervention. After all, nuclear fallout is carried downwind, and depending on the Russian nuclear facilities that experience catastrophic failure, this means a significant number of IDP's and medical assistance that Russia is ill-equipped to provide support for. In that sense, there are exclusions zones, refugee camps, and other factors that dominate international concern.
However, in the event that the Russians deploy a nuclear response that ends up being a dud, I imagine that the Russian Federation is expelled from most supranational governmental forums. No country wants the nuclear taboo broken, and so even China would be hard-pressed to deny Russia's expulsion from the Security Council, and Orban couldn't justify Russia's expulsion from something like the OPCW or any European security arrangement. You'd probably see the confiscation of Russian foreign sovereign assets, crippling sanctions, and the effort undertaken to destroy Russian nuclear weapon infrastructure, including nuclear submarines, silos, and the forcible grounding of nuclear-capable strategic bombers.
Thanks for the question, Anon.

“I like how you draw Rusame, but as a US citizen I will never accept it, bcuz Russia is a terrorist who unleashed a war with Ukraine, it offends me. Russian is wild (???? what 😂) ofc I prefer Usuk more, u now?“ - wrote to me a dude who retweets patriotic American quotes about “freedom“ and mute evidence that Trump is an agent of Putin. Dude, first of all, for what purpose did you write to me about this, given that I deeply don't care about your opinion with preferences, while you so directly assure how terrible Russia is spreading propaganda (let me remind you that there is propaganda in US too, it has always been, especially nothing it does not differ from the Russian one, do not try to deny it, I know what I'm talking about, I once visited my aunt and listened to American political programs for the sake of interest, should I say how much outright nonsense I listened to, my ears almost withered ...) a retweet was made on your page about Trump as about a Russian agent, and do you willingly believe that? Dude, you're 27 years old, you're two years older than me, and you have the mindset of a 14-year old teenager who believes in all sorts of conspiracy theories and other nonsense from the Internet without any logical evidence. Is Trump an agent of Russia? Really?! Where do such conclusions come from? Election 2016? Does anyone else remember them? Why not Obama then? Not John Kennedy? Btw, he was suspected of fictitious collusion with the Communists only bcuz he wanted to improve relations with the USSR, he was not killed bcuz of suspicion, but your state sources will never reveal the truth about the true motives for the assassination of the president. Why only Trump? Does the American community still believe in this? Well, then I have no more questions for you 😂 is it more like paranoia to see the participation of Russians in everything (as some of you still like to call us “commi“, which we have not been for a long time) in the elections bcuz Russia wants to destroy America? Omg…Dude, I don't support the war, don’t support Putin, but that doesn't mean that I think that the US government is a bulwark of justice, it's far from it, I won't list what terrible things the White house did with other countries, including Yugoslavia/Iraq/Syria/Vietnam, and I don't want to talk about how hypocritical the US treats Russia and after that you claim that there is no propaganda in your country, but only the truth is being told? You know, in Soviet Union, they also believed everything that was said on TV, but the country was isolated, people believed everything that Stalin, Brejnev, Gorbachev said, we did not broadcast anything Western (Russians usually learned about Disney, Tom and Jerry, Looney Tunes and others foreign cartoons after the collapse of the USSR, American delegation often visited Russia, importing a lot of her production, spreading high crime in the country, instead taking away our scientists, Soviet equipment, including the resources of a weakened country). Why ,of all the things that America has done to my country , do I not consider all of America terrible , unlike you ? (Damn it, in the 90’s Russia was literally dying dude, my country could have died if not for humanitarian support, and even after all the hell Russia went through, still wanted to get closer to the US, but the US, oddly enough, was in no hurry to reach out in response…) Were Americans isolated from the world like Soviet Russia ? No. So where does such a superficial judgment about Russia come from? Dude, pls don't provoke me into a polemic with you, you've got the wrong address, I have no desire to continue this meaningless chatter with you, you still won't understand a damn thing from what I've written, bcuz your horizons are limited only by what you are told through liberal channels. They will tell you that every Russian comes home riding bears and that it snows all day in the country, you will believe it without any doubt. Bcuz based on what you wrote to me under the post with art, you think with the logic of the TV 😂
my conclusion: ❌🧠❌->🤡
(guys, I banned this clown, unfortunately, I don't want to show what he wrote, bcuz I deleted all this shit from the comments under my art, you can read my entire answer above, I think adequate people who don't think like him will support me)
Honestly, I still can't understand what he attributed the irl policy with Hetalia to?😂

i'm sure this has been said before, but sincerely i'm so so tired of seeing fellow ppl on left just straight up saying not to vote at all because supporting biden = more genocide in palestine. many who say this are well-intentioned, but throwing your hands up and opting out completely is going to do more harm. by not voting, you are choosing to step aside and let votes for trump/the GOP pile up.
please please please do not underestimate how many people in this country are so sick of biden they will just vote trump, how many people have become so brainwashed by misinformation and the shit trump himself spews, how many people are so desperate for the economy to improve they are willing to believe the illusion of trump's entrepreneurial skills. there are a plethora of americans who do not remember how bad it was under trump, 1) because we collectively have short-term memory, and 2) are so focused on how shittily biden is handling things. but we must remember.
listen. nearly no one wants another 4 years of biden. i certainly don't. i'm honestly not even sure he does either. but as much as people like to say trump and biden are just as bad as one another, we need to think long-term, not short. having the GOP in the executive branch — in addition to already having a conservative supreme court and majority GOP power in the House — will not only worsen what's happening in palestine but worsen our entire democratic structure here in the US (and jeopardize that of other countries that rely heavily on US democracy and external support, like ukraine).
trump has made it clear he is more than willing to bow down to russia and putin, to the israeli government and to saudia arabia. trump says there will be a "bloodbath" if he does not win. he continues to surprise no one with his attempts at changing narrative of january 6th, recently calling rioters rightly convicted for their crimes "patriots" and "hostages." time and time again, trump and all his GOP goons show the many ways in which they hope to destroy our already crumbling democracy.
i say this not to belittle or undermine the atrocities that are being committed every minute in gaza — the horror of it is beyond human comprehension. but it is not the only issue on the ballot. i am begging people to look at voting more holistically.
yes, this election is about palestine. but is it ALSO about reproductive rights, immigrant rights and lives, climate change, gun control, the safety and security of marginalized groups, the rise of fascism globally and its connection to our rapidly declining democracy — so, so much is at stake.
the way our government is structured right now forces you to make a choice — and by refusing to make one, it will choose for you. the GOP is actively trying to suppress voting for a reason.
it's either vote biden as a means to protect our democracy and a chance at cease-fire, or allow trump to return to office, which would mean continued genocide, and enormous damage to both our and many other countries' democracies.
stop discouraging voting.
