I'm amused people dug up this post yesterday when i have been also shuffling things around in the background--

I've been planning of setting up a small preorder run for charms (limited as to not overwhelm myself) and these are one of the options i've been leaning into. ive sold them before locally and here's a sample of it. they're double sided with the bloody side at the back.

other stuff I'm digging for this are old persona charms/stands I'm still fond of (probably one of the akiham and ryuji ones) but I'm open to suggestions especially people have been requesting for prints for years. I'm not sure if I'll do prints but hearing out which ones you guys specifically want (prints or otherwise) will help me weigh what options I'll end up with!

Feeling angsty about the Angel again…

Aziraphale was horrified to give Crowley holy water. He wouldn’t hear of it, he was terrified at the thought of Crowley using it. He didn’t want to give Crowley “a suicide pill,” in his own words.

He was always terrified what Hell would do to Crowley throughout history. If Hell found out they’d been consorting and fraternizing…“They’ll destroy you.”

He was holding onto Crowley in Edinburg, totally and hopelessly in love having watched Crowley display more kindness and compassion and self-sacrifice than any angels Aziraphale knows, when Hell quite literally ripped him out of his arms.

He fell in love with Crowley the moment he met the Starmaker. Even then, he warned Crowley of the dangers of questioning God. Aziraphale has always just wanted Crowley to be okay, to be safe.

Think about it… Aziraphale met Crowley Pre-fall. Aziraphale wanted to keep Crowley safe even back then, “word to the wise,” and couldn’t protect him. He saw or heard about the Fall—one day Crowley was there, the next Aziraphale is hearing (or worse: watching) him be cast down to this new place full of unspeakable and terrifying horrors called Hell. Crowley’s fall was obviously traumatic for Crowley and the fandom does a wonderful job acknowledging that, but how traumatic is it to watch someone you love Fall? To be totally helpless in that scenario?

To watch this beautiful creature be cast out and labeled as unforgivable, to hear them accept that and start calling themselves unforgivable when you never thought they did anything to warrant a need for forgiveness in the first place. “I knew the Angel you were.” I know you didn’t deserve any of this.

All he has ever wanted is for Crowley to be ok, to be safe. I read another meta where someone said Aziraphale purposely made the Bentley “our car” so Hell couldn’t pop in and grab Crowley anymore (property of an Angel + Shax couldn’t pop in anymore = safety), and told Crowley to watch the bookshop since he’s safe in there. Honestly I wouldn’t put it past Az to think that far ahead (he is intelligent and gayer than a tree full of monkeys on nitrous oxide).

These are a lot of half-baked ideas but I hope y’all see what I mean: Aziraphale wants Crowley safe because he has loved Crowley for 6,000 years, and in turn worried about Crowley for just as long. He just wants to take care of his love but the current systems of power in place make that utterly impossible and I think that breaks his heart every single day. I think the worry has been eating away at Aziraphale for 6,000—having such constant real and intense fear for your loved ones well-being is traumatic.

skk nation I have made a harrowing discovery.

last year, skk was number 4 on the top 100 ships of ao3 for 2023. when they catalogued the numbers, our boys had around 24k total fics, with about 6k new fics being added that year (new fics is what determines placement on the list). we did great last year :D let’s go gang.

BUT. pause. the list came out on august 7th, 2023. BEFORE the end of s5 and the whole debacle there.

due to this, the list cut off RIGHT before the absolute surge of fics from that. you add on the 15 manga and maybe stormbringer being animated this year, and BOY HOWDY. it’s been six months since the 2023 list and we’ve already surpassed what we wrote last year (we have like 31k fics now,,)

currently predicting either 2nd or 1st for skk in 2024. there’s already like 7k new fics and unless people start putting out ai fics to climb the ranks (please don’t do this ever) I don’t see any ship that could hold us back. skk is officially taking over ao3 and I cannot wait to see it happen.

not sure if my ask sent BUT I’m loving people being vocal about the fandom not caring about eddie outside of buddie. it’s been happening since the dawn of time (lol) and there’s a reason so many vocalists about eddie decided to be loud and obnoxious about it (including yours truly). his journey is nuanced and he’s such a good character to explore a straight-maybe to bucksexual love with but it will take TIME for anything to happen because of that journey. still. you said eddie rights and i love that.

This is the only ask I got from you, so it probably got lost in the blue void if you sent something else. But absolutely, something I noticed during the hiatus, because while I have been lurking around the fandom since season 5, I only really started to actively post thoughts and stuff after the lightning, so I spent a really long time observing people even more when I started posting random metas, or just thoughts, people have this almost pathological need to make everything about Eddie about Buck. I legit remember making a post about Shannon and blocking several people because they kept making what happened with Shannon about Buck, and that's not it. Eddie is a FASCINATING character. He is so nuanced. And he is so well written and acted out. Like, I was casual about the show until fear-o-phobia (tbf that was the 3rd episode I watched live but still). Eddie grabbed me by the throat that day. And there's so much that people give Buck a pass that they would NEVER give to Eddie. And there's so much to explore with him. And yeah, I think his queer journey will involve Buck somehow, but because I truly believe that man is demi and I don't care about anything else. Making him have a complicated relationship with attraction as a whole is so much more interesting than saying he's just looking for a beard his whole life. And the amount of people I saw picking fights about people not shipping Buck and Tommy because "they have this need that Eddie should be the only man for Buck" (when literally everyone in the fandom hc Buck 1.0 as having slept with guys too) that are people I had seen saying that Eddie only ever loved Buck, straight up erasing the whole concept that he might've been in love with his wife is wild. If Eddie is not adding something to Buck and this idea that Buck is this baby that needs to be protected and can do no wrong, then he is being unnecessary or ooc or just plain weird and THAT'S WILD. Sure Buck and Eddie have a compelling relationship, and I LOVE exploring the possibilities around how much Eddie loves Buck, but Eddie exists for more than loving Buck and both of them exist outside of each other. Honestly, right now, Eddie needs some defenders because it's rough out here. If people can pick fights about Buck the way they do, Imma do the same about Eddie. If people don't agree then that's their problem.

Mike Wheeler Needs A Hug (and not one that he initiates)

I saw someone say that when people claim Mike doesn’t receive comfort it’s a complete lie because he hugs Karen and Hopper, and yes, to an extent this is true. He does receive (physical) comfort multiple times throughout the show. But the problem is that he receives it too late and he’s almost always the one who initiates it. Even with these two factors alone, we can still come to the conclusion, just like he probably has, that no one cares about his issues.

Karen only hugs him in seasons 1&3 because he came into the house upset and in obvious need of support, he was hurting so much that he let his usual walls fall down (at least partially, we don’t ever actually see him open up). Hopper only hugs him in s2 because he was literally bursting at the seams and in obvious need of support. Of course, this is also after Hopper yells at him for being completely reasonably upset.

He has to make his emotions very obvious before anyone will comfort him because no one pays enough attention to notice his silent suffering. Every time he’s received (physical) comfort he’s either asked for it by letting his walls down almost willingly (s1&3) or his walls unwillingly breaking down (s2).

This is why we say Mike has not really received comfort. Because he shouldn’t have to (essentially) ask for it, that makes it almost meaningless.
