Scott to me is an audhd character. like in his whole Pac-Man thing. so bc of this I think he had a very undiagnosed but still semi helicoptered life. in youth. he basically lives in his parents basement but I feel like what stops him is the having been helicoptered bc why would u live with some guy who's always having gay sex if there wasn't weird shit with ur parents. ok yeah bc they're kinda gay TOGETHER but yk.

then wallace is a lot of projecting but it isn't completely out of nowhere. so to me his just general. affections are like. not much commitment except for the devout and slightly fucked up thing he has for Scott. bc for the fact that he's not only movie attractive but also considered hot. in comic makes it all the weirder that he puts up with Scott. even when ur into someone there's not a healthy person who'd go through that for such a small payout and almost no gratitude. so wallace to me is older sibling who reluctantly did stuff for his younger siblings. but isn't close to them. he also has a sort of "adapted to life"/rlly good at masking. type tism. so I think a lonely overall childhood explains him very well

I will probs make a follow up but this is just rants I've had. also not enough of yall understand Scott and that's so infuriating. scott is a coward, not an evil character. like pls read the comics or something

finished the teal mask and oh boy do i have thoughts…

(SPOILERS FOR THE NEW DLC IF YOU DONT WANT SPOILERS PLS DO NOT READ)

god. kieran. kieran is so refreshing from a character perspective. kieran is like the anti-hop. it kind of feels like he’s the protagonist and we’re the classic jerk rival, doesn’t it? this guy clearly has Issues and i really like that, im enjoying this sort of “why can’t i beat you” rival trope that gamefreak’s been doing lately. they nearly did it with hop but with kieran they’re really going full in. the character arc that kieran went through in this dlc was actually difficult for me to watch, seeing this poor boy destroy himself mentally. the first time i battled him for the final time i actually lost, and i was hoping that he would get to keep ogerpon because altho shes cute and i adore her, i felt so bad. but ofc thats not the way the cookie crumbles. kieran is socially awkward, he doesn’t know how to communicate, and he’s never had a true friend. then florian/juliana comes along and suddenly there’s someone who seems to genuinely enjoy hanging out with him that isn’t, yknow, related to him. but then that person that he was so eager to trust goes along and begins befriending and helping a pokemon that hes adored all your life behind his back. i relate to kieran a lot and ofc yknow the absolute maniac arc hes about to go through is probably not healthy but i rlly hope this ends up being good for him. he idolized ogerpon because of how he related to her story, not because of the actual living creature she is. i wouldnt be surprised if it turns out he doesnt value his pokemon as actual living creatures either. i could see him being like a reverse silver, as he grows colder growing to not even care about his pokemon.

on the other hand, carmine! carmine was such a delight, i was genuinely not expecting to enjoy her as much as i did. sure, she also has Issues and has probably been a negative effect on her brother, but at the end of the day she is also just a kid. she probably has no idea what shes doing, and i dont think shed ever hurt kieran. she went through a lot of growth in the dlc and i can see her trying to become a better person with the help of florian/juliana and repairing her odd relationship with kieran.

also, it seems like she kind of has to play a parental role for kieran, as its implied that their parents arent around. thats another thing that separates kieran and carmine from siblings like hop and leon (and oh my god im just realizing all the parallels between hop and leon and kieran and carmine). its implied that the galar bros had a good childhood, and hops Issues dont start until hes set off on his journey and leon is a full adult with an actual life. with the kitakami siblings, if you read between the lines you can tell that theyve had a harder time growing up. with carmines comments on tourism and how it’s negatively effected their town and give her Trust Issues, that obviously fucked them both up a little, seeing that people only valued their hometown as an attraction, and that they themselves were a part of that attraction. and of course we dont know what the issue was with their parents. also, why are they going to school in unova? (side not oh my god it is so obvious that we’re going to get bw remakes in gen 9 or a legends unova game)

kitakami is such an interesting region. obviously its tiny, it has one town and then everything else is just untamed land. i feel like something Else is going on here. or maybe its just small idk

i love ogerpon a lot i think shes adorable and i love that we got to run around with her before she joined our team and it makes the whole “ten year old catches legendary thing” feel more realistic

also why are ogerpon and the loyal three legendaries i feel like they should be mythicals them being legendary feels Wrong

anyways these were my silly thoughts on the dlc and i hope kieran turns out to be the bb leagues champion (pulling a blue) and also i dont trust briar now time to finish my pokedex and talk to legends arceus pandering i mean perrin and if i see anyone call carmine a terrible person i will trade away your ev trained competitive team ok bye

RONIN ASK! sort of. can i know more about casey and/or his (?) relationship with ronin ?

I would be rubbing my hands together if I wasn’t chewing them autistically ok So

Casey Zhao better known as Casey Jones as the Americanization is a second generation immigrant with his Dad being raised in China and his Mom being raised in the states, originally born in Taiwan. He had the pretty standard Asian American childhood, which tbf, isn’t the most healthy one. But for a lot of reasons mostly related to money and familial issues everything that was there already just got enflamed. Yknow, the unrealistic standards, the gaslighting, cultural disconnect, racism no one rlly recognizes, all the things your parents don’t talk abt, the good stuff

When he was 14 everything just got to the point where he decided to run away and stuck to it. He left home thru the fire escape about a year later. He didn’t have many loose ends to tie up but it was nice to give time like there was. This was around the time he met Ronin, I haven’t figured out the exact logistics of it yet but I’m assuming that they probably met through April although I wouldn’t be surprised if Casey just said “fuck it” and wandered into the sewers one day not realizing that would connect him with the weird redhead from his school in an unimaginable way.

K now in terms of his relationship with Ronin he’s in a pretty similar bag as Raph. He’s the oldest out of the 3 of them - Ronin, Casey, April - with him being 16 during the bulk of the story and then 17 during the woods arc. But even though he’s the oldest he’s very emotionally stunted which means he acts as a really good human shield, both verbally and physically. Verbal is his surprise speciality though, has a lot of practice taking that one.

He is probably autistic but his parents never told him so, and he wouldn't be surprised if he was actually diagnosed with autism but his parents just. Never told him. His special interest is hockey but he doesn't talk abt it much since he didn't get to focus his energy on it a lot as a kid. He managed to convince his parents to let him join a hockey club when he was about 11, and stuck with it up until he ran away. He Tried to keep doing it but it just felt too fucking risky. He's really good at it too, not that his parents ever notice. That's one of the reasons he liked splinter so much when he came to live with them, because he was intensely interested in whatever Casey had to say (not that he knew much abt hockey, but he was happy to learn.) all of them would play ground hockey a lot in the garage.

What really convinced him to run away was when his parents forced him to stay home from a game because apparently his "grade was slipping." It had already been harder and harder to make time for practice up until that point, as studying became more and more a priority and he tried chasing his parents approval more and more, but that was the breaking point.

One of his good memories of his parents was ice skating during Christmas, like a little treat for their family. He's always loved skating, even if he couldn't play a game he'd be fine as long as he could skate. That's one of the things he liked most about the woods, when the lakes would freeze over and he could teach his new siblings a thing or two about real ice.

Its not threatening their life but he just got worried they might left him somedays

He tried to find medicine for you even he had to cross the sea, your life is so important and he can't bear losing another people he loves after what happened in the past

The blood part seemed a bit too much for me so I didn’t do it, a little bit of angst if you squint rlly hard. HOPE YOU ENJOY LOVE

Ayato

Due to the nature of his work it wasn't often he go to see you. He would do his best to visits you on a regular basis, but it never truly was, at times he would miss a week, and if the gods do not look upon you, a few months.

Through the years he’d often deny the presumptions of your dating, people often thought so seeing the way he would talk about you— all too poetic for a “friend”.

Little had you know, on the long periods of time he wouldn’t see you he was out aboard, of course for work, but also in hopes to find something to help you; ease your pain, or even perhaps take the entire illness away. Oh, how he wishes.

"Ayato?" You whispered, attempting to sit up from the bed. The sun rays peeking through the curtains, a light scent of flowers flowed through the room, you look to your bedside table, fresh flowers?

Seeing your attempt to sit up he pushes you back, "Don’t over do it," He pushes away some hair falling onto your face, his thumb rubbing over your cheek. His voice was soft, gentle.

"You’re here so soon. Has something happened?" You feel over Ayato’s hand, giving it a gentle rub.

He smiles feel warmer, "My dear, I’ve finally found a someone and something who may help you."

Most would feel bursts of joy, not to say you didn’t, but you couldn’t help but be skeptical. For many years has this illness plagued you, not only that but most doctors from Inazuma still have not been able to find something to treat such an illness.

Feeling the skepticism in your heart he grabs you hand, placing it to his chest, "For many years have I been searching for someone, something, anything to help you. The many trips I would take out of Inazuma I would be looking for something for you. I can understand your skepticism, but please, my love, I want to see you better." Gently kissing your hand, his eyes watering, "For naught my future is without you."

Heizou

Heizou is a smart man, always has been, but it feels as though it is all thrown out the window when you arrive. All his intellects seemingly gone, the countless times he on his own has tried to find a way to help you- all failing miserably.

Frustrated, he forgets his work wrapping himself into helping you. Hungry? He’s already cooking. Want some fresh air? He has your clothes prepared. House is getting a bit dusty? Hes already bought cleaning supplies. And as much as you appreciate the things he does you can’t help but be worried.

"Heizou?" You turn to him, a questioning look on your face.

"Yes, my dear?" He sets his book down, his gaze turning to you.

"I most appreciate the things you do, but please understand," you motion him closer, and take his hand, "I’ve noticed you haven’t been going to work as much, and I can’t help but worry you’ve been neglecting your work because of me."

His eyes soften, his kisses your hand, "I appreciate your concern. But it’s quite the opposite really. During your resting times I’m working—" he smiles, "but all from home, I had a friend of mine go out of the country, and they found something that may help you. And just like how we are now, I’ll be here."

You laugh, reaching a hand out, being his face closer to yours, giving him a gentle kiss, "Always so diligent and loving."

Thoma

Thoma is the definition of house wife. Now, of course he has his work at the estate, but every free minute is spent with him.

The awfully generous Kamisato Ayato had provided you and Thoma home in the estate in hopes we won’t overwork himself, but that’s all for naught. Thoma, the diligent, sweet boy, is always tending to everyone— but himself! Some days when he comes home you worry if he’s eaten. And as much you would like to help him you can’t. You’d be a liar is you said you didn’t feel like a burden.

Lately, Thoma has been coming home extra late. At first you thought he was busy doing some extra work, but you couldn’t help be suspicious when you noticed he would be in the study spending an awful lot of time writing letters.

One night you decided to go check up on him. Gathering all the strength you had and walking to the study, coming up behind him and steadying yourself on the desk.

"Hello, my love." You whisper in the shell of his ear.

Jumping he swivels his chair to face you, his eyes wide, but once his eyes lay upon you he relaxes, hand on his heart, "Goodness, darling. You scared me."

You smile chuckle leaning in closer, "Sorry, sweetie." He smiles, putting a hand on your jaw pulling you closer, pressing a kiss all around your face.

Smiling you pull back looking your head over to the letter, "What’s that, dear?" Gesturing your head to the paper.

He looks back, "Oh! That.. uh, I have some news." He trailed off, you nod, gently playing with his hair, "I had been sending letters to a friend of mine in Mondstadt, he said that he may know someone to stabilize your condition," his head leans into your hand, exhaling he looks into your eyes, "Would you perhaps be ok with someone coming here to help you, love?"

may i ask what u had in mind for jayke's backstories :0 if we rlly wanna get into it then i can see jayke being fun and carefree BECAUSE they weren't able to act that way at home,,,

maybe jay has strict rich parents who always wanted him to be mature and poised when he was just a kid who wanted to play w his friends :( he learned how to chef it up thru the private chefs at home and learned how to look after others from the butlers and maids that raised him. he's also an only child so the friendgroup are the siblings hes always wanted and he def found a brother in jake so early on i his life bc he was rlly lonely as a child /:

as for jake... he has an older brother (ima age him up hella to fit the narrative) and his older brother cared a lot for him but he was the picture-perfect child and their parents pressured jake to follow in his older brother's footsteps at such a young age. like cmon he was 7 being forced to study physics bc his brother was aceing his high school physics exams on the way to go to the most prestigious colleges w a physics degree. and with their big age gap his brother didnt have time to play w him much bc he was alsays studying and their parents were so focused on the older sibling. jake finds a brother within jay bc hes also lonely and jay was the only person he could be himself around.

now that ive thought ab this man jayke as a duo is so precious to me 🥺 theyre brothers thru and thru bc they found a home within one another. jake always so excited to try new recipes jay is trying out, jay loving to model and style jake, jake sending jay goofy selfie updates of his day to jay, jay being the first person jake calls in the middle of the night for a late night convenience store run which leads to some crazy shenanigans. jayke also building their first lego set tgth when they were 9 and it's displayed in a glass case in the living room of their shared apt.

honestly i love love love your thoughts and theories and i think mine are pretty similar in some ways but not quite and that just makes it so much more exciting 🥺

yk me, i'm just...brutal when it comes to backstories so pls be aware......

poison!jake was raised by a single mother who was never home because she worked so much. she worked late evening and night shifts and would sleep throughout the day so jake basically had to raise himself. she never physically abused him but because he was her main source of exhaustion (since she had to work to provide for him) she's slowly started growing hateful towards him and jake basically tried all of his life to please her just to fail miserably. his mother was never a mother to him, father not in the picture at all and after years of verbal and mental abuse he found a safe haven in jay. they met in middle school and for jake it was quite clear from the very beginning that that guy was his soulmate. he'd never openly say it bc they're too goofy and unserious for that (bc of their childhoods) but there's no person on this planet he's as grateful for as he is for jay.

jay's backstory is kinda similar to heeseung's just the other way around. up until he was seven he had the most picture perfect family with two loving parents who loved their son and each other with everything they have, until his father passed away in a car accident and his mother started resenting her son because he survived and the love of her life didn't. similar to the parks and heeseung he unfortunately was also mentally, physically, emotionally and verbally abused up until he moved out for college and the only person in his life, besides his friend, to show him love was his grandmother. she was the one taking care of him when his mother was at work and she'd even cry with him whenever she spotted new bruises. the only reason he goes back to his hometown every now and then is to visit her grave and keep her updated on his life.

both jake and jay dont have contact to their mothers so they're each other's only family. jay always introduces jake as his brother and whenever people ask him who his favorite person is jake responds with jay. they really are each other's rocks and im literally tearing up writing this URGH

ANON IM SO FUCKING SORRY THEY DELETED YOU OH MY GOD. anyways here's the answer under the cut that i had to rewrite in its entirety<3

so um. this must feel very weird because it was just announced that the prequel was cancelled by the CW so i rlly don't think me airing my problems with it remains fruitful but STILL. as a marygirl and johncrit/john-understander AND frequent participant of toxic tragic maryjohn """"shipping"""" i have to say (as someone who has not watched this show keep that in mind pls this is just from what i have seen on the dash). it's very weird that the writers and producers decided to focus on how dean's feelings must be hurt and on dean's need for a hashtag apple pie normal happy domestic home life and dean's closure and ignored basically everything about the actual mary and john.

i thought it was very disrespectful to mary in particular, who had to marry a man she despised (and vice-versa on his part) because of divine manipulation from heaven. one thing about mary's story was that she did not want to be a hunter in the end and that she craved safety for her and her loved ones instead of the dangers for hunting. despite this she could never get out of the hunting life because her destiny was to be used as a pawn in the celestial game leading upto the apocalypse and the end of the world which like! fucking sucks! and she loved her children and probably also her husband (how much of the latter was genuine and not the aforementioned celestial fuckery we'll never know) but that doesn't mean her life and marriage were happy or normal.

john as well. he was forced to fall in love with a person he "couldn't stand" due to higher forces orchestrating it since the beginning of humankind apparently. but unlike mary he didn't stop believing in his destiny. before her death we know that mary was considering divorce but we don't know if john felt the same. what we do know is that immediately after her death he spiralled so hard that he decided to risk him and his children's lives to seek revenge against her murderers, which unfortunately led to him discovering hunting and raising his kids up to be hunters, which is the only thing mary didn't want. infact, ending this cycle of hunting was the main reason she made sure he remained ignorant of hunting and her past life as a hunter. and we know that instead of doing any of this, john could've easily talked with mary's ghost (see 1x09) and consulted with her on how to parent their kids, or heck, even just straight up ASKED her who her killer was, but he didn't. because talking with mary would mean having to talk about their cringefail marriage and life together. he held up an ideal of her as the perfect wife and their relationship as the perfect marriage, and he sacrificed his life and his sons' lives at this fake altar. (keep in mind, it is very IMPORTANT to his character that he does not know shit about hunting before mary's death)

mary also does this, in a way, when after being brainwashed by the bmol (boooo!) she retreats into a mental fantasy where she's younger, dean is a toddler and sammy's an infant and refuses to "look at" the older dean who repeatedly asks her to see him and hear him. tellingly, john isn't a part of this fantasy.

so obviously all of this affected dean. knowing that your father would rather choose a life of danger and uncertainty over a healthy and safe childhood for you and your brother, knowing that him and your mother never "truly" loved each other, knowing that their marriage was on the verge of ending before your mother's death all fucking sucks. knowing that because you turned out leading the life you mother did not want for you to have, having your mother come back after so many years but she's about a decade younger than you and would rather go back to what's known and comforting to her (i.e. hunting) over parenting your adult ass and confronting her new reality has also got to suck. after being traumatised and put in harm's way his entire childhood and early adulthood by his father, who was acting in the interest of protecting the perfect made-up ideal of his angelic mother and their perfect life before her death, he was even denied the closure of having a mother and regaining that type of life when she was actually present for it.

this absolutely does not mean we should write and produce shows where dean's form of "closure" is travelling the multiverse (you will NEVER be spiderverse etc etc), finding a perfect reality that exists where we retcon his parents as better people who DID love each other, actually, and they ALSO had brown and queer friends and they were like, totally cool with that, and the impala is a time travelling car now. maryjohn is not a love story. it is a tragedy. it is a horror story. it can even be a fucking comedy if you think about how absurd it all is, but it is NEVER a normal happy romance.

they fundamentally cannot end up together and be happy about it. and you cannot ask me to be happy about such a story! i would've even been ok with the show if they presented us with dean who is dead in heaven, refusing to meet his similarly dead-and-in-heaven parents, completely dissatisfied with how his life was and instead of finally resting, choosing to time travel across multiverses to find a reality where his life had the potential to be happier, where his parents stayed together willingly and resolved all their conflicts, where he had a better childhood. and presented us with all of this as the insanely tragic, terrifying thing that it is instead of some nostalgic, forever 21 wardrobed, 70s scooby-doo-esque, retro funfest.

i don't fault people (especially dean fans) for liking this show. i understand how seeing dean again, and seeing him happy, seeing him finally "save" his mother, could be cathartic or even just plain enjoyable for a lot of people. but im unhealthily obsessed with a lot of the source material this show plays so fast and loose with and it's so unacceptable to me lol.

gonna put this under a read more but just to explain why i wasnt here much yesterday

my mother, is very sick. i'd clarify to say like "not some life threatening illness" but it is quite literally life threatening. she's had congestive heart failure, been hospitalized at least twice because she's not getting enough oxygen in her system, has osteoarthritis, sciatica. she cant breath properly because of her weight putting pressure on her lungs. theres so many problems.

she stayed home yesterday(and today) because her sciatica was acting up intensely. for reference, she's over 400lbs/181kg, so she could quite literally not move out of bed to even use the bathroom. i had to push her thigh fat out of the way so i could position a pee dish under her so she wouldnt wet herself.

needless to say, its a wake up call. for me. i dont know about her. im around 20+ yrs younger than my mom. but i never want to be in a position like that. its fucking mortifying. my mom and i dont even have the best of relationships(an understatement, really) but it pained me so much to see her like that.

i was busy keeping an eye on her yesterday. she's doing amazingly today, and has been in much higher spirits.(she cried at least 3 times yesterday and even cried herself to sleep) but it just put so many things in perspective for me. ive looked it up and a lot of sources say sciatica can be greatly affected by diet. just this past weekend she ordered out 3 different times. and it sure as hell wasn't anything healthy. she was in the hospital a good portion of the summer, lost 40lbs by just being there, but im sure she's gained it back. she's so sedentary, and theres lots of salt and sugar in her diet, which i find strange because in my childhood she was very health driven(fruit and veg were absolute staples in our house). literally the doctor said "no salt" and the first grocery order we did when she got home included a massive jar of sauerkraut(which Does have some good benefits, but its loaded with salt)

im rlly just thinking about all of this and its been on my mind. i truly think my mom suffers from BED or some eating disorder (she's got so many issues from her own childhood that she's failed to address). but above all its just reminded why im doing what im doing. as fucked up as it is to say, i'd very much rather be on the opposite end of the spectrum regarding weight. ive no doubt picked up a lot of disordered habits from her as well. everyone in my family save for 2 or 3 people are fucking huge. we're all overweight, obese even, and its a miracle that none of us(including my mom) dont have diabetes or high cholesterol.

and sorry. this is such a word vomit but this... is also my blog? im gonna talk about personal shit. its the only space i have to do this. but yeah. thats about it. just needed to get that all off my chest.

Hey all, I know like, I never rlly make irl posts and I probably shouldn't be but

My dog died

She um, she got real sick and we took her to the vet. She got better, took her antibiotics, was eating and drinking. Then she just. Stopped. She stopped eating and she was just, she just kept throwing up and we didn't know why. We took her back to the vet and, and they said her kidneys were failing, her whole body was shutting down. She had lost 3 pounds in 3 days, and she was already thin from her infection, there wasn't much that could be done. It was time.

So we took her back home, for her last hours; sat outside in the sun even though it was windy as all hell, which made it cold. We sat out there for a while, till she looked at me, saying it's too cold now. We went back inside, I layed her down on a chair in the sun, where she could rest and be warm. My mom and sister tried to get her to eat something, but she'd turn her head, and I could tell it was making her nauseous. Eventually, she got sick again, she had a fit and fell off the chair, and I was panicking, but I knew what to do. From then on I had her swaddled in a blanket, and carried her with me wherever I went. She always liked to see things, to watch what was going on as I carried her around. The other dogs knew. They'd sniff and turn away from her, not wanting to even make eye contact as I held her against me.

Eventually the sun set, and my sister suggested I watch a movie. So that's what we did, I sat downstairs and ate my dinner, watching sky high as she lay there, watching. She was alert, awake, she never took her eyes off me for a moment, even though I wasn't looking at her.

And then we went to bed. I thought, I thought she would make it, that we'd have a little more time, that the doctor would come in the afternoon. She started whining, I brushed it off at first, but I put my hand on her, made sure she knew I was there. Then she started... I thought she was going to be sick again, she was moving her head, trying to... but she, she just stopped. Her mouth opened with her last breath, her final smelly breath of air. And I watched, I didn't want to believe it, but I'd already known. Her eyes were all black, she wasn't, she wasn't looking at me anymore, wasn't reacting to my touch.

She was gone.

I lay with her, my hand searching for a pulse, as I kissed her one final time and said my final "I love you"

I tried to close her eyes, to let her rest, but, they wouldn't really close... so I covered her with the blanket, and called my mom. We sat there, with Miley between us, and talked, and cried, as the sky began to lighten.

It's a new day, and the doctor is going to take her away. My family keeps telling me it's the beginning of a new chapter, one where I'm no longer bound to my childhood. I know it'll never be the same. I've lost my other half. There's no replacement for a broken heart. I no longer feel safe from the dark of the night, I no longer have someone to protect me. And I no longer have someone to watch over.

It's ok now though, I know you're happy, I know you're healthy, and safe. I'll always be here girl. You know where to find me. I love you.

Bob’s Burgers Character Bedrooms pt. 2

Starting off with our hot gurl Tammy :)

Tammy fell for the 2019/2020 Tik tok trend of the LED lights

She def made her dad build her some sort of canopy for her bed

And ofc he agreed because she is his little princess

She also fell into the vine decor trend so that’s there

She wants to become an influencer BAD

Like currently, that is her number one goal in life

Hence the ring light and the very bare and “aesthetically pleasing” walls

Let’s pretend that those records are Harry Styles vinyls

She really really thinks pink is her colour so most things in her room coordinate with that general colour scheme

She has her own “walk in” closet (walk in is in quotations because it’s prettttyyy tiny, she just wants people to think it’s a full walk in closet)

That’s why she doesn’t have a dresser

Our girly Tammy is not a clean lady

Like, she doesn’t have garbage all over her room but she just throws her clothes and everything on the floor

But she thinks it’s okay because her parents hire a house cleaner once a week

She has one of those cool vanities with the Hollywood lights

Because she BEGGED for one for her 12th birthday

she wants to become the internet’s next favourite beauty guru so she hopped right on the “healthy water trend”

So there’s a lil tumbler on her nightstand

She films grwm vlogs and films days in her life

I fully believe that she is one of those girls that cover themselves in perfume instead of deodorant because she’s convinced it makes her smell amazing

Her room’s kinda small but she and her mum decorated it rlly nicely to make up for it

Jocelyn says she made most of the design choices, but it was mostly her mum’s doing when it comes to the vanity and wall colour lol

She Fr loves her room tho so it doesn’t even matter

She isn’t as much of a makeup girl as Tammy is, but she dabbles in natural eyeshadow shades and she takes her skin care seriously

At her mum’s suggestion, naturally

Honestly, her mum gives her pretty good advice

Tammy convinced her to do the healthy water trend too

We love our healthy queens

Tammy doesn’t have a full length mirror anymore so whenever they’re hanging out at Jocelyn’s house they HAVE to take a billion OOTD selfies in her mirror

Jocelyn too fell into the vine decor rabbit hole, except she switched it up a bit with the pop of floral by her bed

Jimmy Jr. has two rooms

This one is the bedroom he has when he’s with Jimmy Sr.

The thing is though, he really hates this room

His dad has always wanted him to be into sports, so his room is basketball themed

Jimmy Pesto knew his son would be tall as he grew up, so he always pushed him HARD to be a basketball player

But J-Ju HATES it

He’s just not into it

But he really does like baseball!

So Jimmy Sr. is at least a little bit happy with the choices his kid makes

The room though, it just isn’t him

The colours just don’t suit him (that’s what Zeke says) and the vibe is off

J-Ju still sleeps with his childhood stuffed animal

He’s also kinda a messy kid

Clothes and garbage and Gatorade bottles EVERYWHERE

Jimmy Sr. doesnt really give a fuck though

Just kinda lets J-Ju clean as he pleases

Don’t worry guys, Jimmy Jr. still has bits and pieces of himself around the room

His fav. Comic book characters are on his walls, and he even convinced his dad to get him a figurine of his number one character!

The sloth snake is only really there because Zeke got it for him

Don’t get him wrong, he likes sloth snake, it just isn’t his favourite thing really

But it’s just one more thing he can use to bond with Zeke, so he’ll put the poster up if he has to

(but there is a reason he put it up in the room he spends the least amount of time in)

Because of their custody agreement, J-Ju and Andy and Ollie are only at Jimmy Sr.’s every two weeks

J-Ju pt. 2!

This is his room at his mum’s house!

His mum moved into a house in suburbia and it has a very clean white kind of aesthetic

And she isn’t a neat freak or anything, but his mum does like to keep the house clean

So she’ll go in during the week that he’s with his dad and just organize things again

She doesn’t want to be one of those snoopy type mothers

But she did put a plant in Jimmy Jr.’s room so that she would have an excuse to go in there and “notice that his rooms a mess” so she can clean it

He does bring piglet with him from home to home, just don’t tell anyone that

J-Ju has read exactly three books and he displays them very proudly on his bookshelf

They’re the first Harry Potter book (he likes the movies better), The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe, and the book Wonder (he cried when he finished reading it, he was just so emotional)

His mum also bought him figurines of his fav. Comic book characters

Except he didn’t even have to ask her for them, she just knows what he likes and wants lol

Even though she completely supports Jimmy’s passion for the art of dance, she secretly wishes he was more into sports like basketball (she is a big b-ball fan lmfao)

So she did frame a jersey and put it above his bed

Just in hopes that maybe it will inspire him

It doesn’t though, obviously

Peep the lil heart-shaped pillow Jimmy Jr. Is failing really hard at hiding

It’s from Tina, for Valentine’s Day

He keeps it because he really likes her, he’s just not sure if it’s in THAT way, you know?

His mum makes sure he always has a glass of water on his nightstand

The only things she doesn’t clean up is his baseball equipment

She just isn’t sure where to put it all

The lion is from some soccer camp he did once as a kid

Its the first award type thing he’s ever won and he’s still pretty proud of it

When Jimmy Pesto moved into his apartment after his divorce, he let the twins pick out their own wallpaper

He regrets it every day

They also picked out the bunny bookcase

They love them

They also have cat and dog themed beds

It just makes sense for their characters, okay?

No matter how much their dad complains, they will keep sleeping together forever

They like their room at their dad’s house but all the toys and stuff Jimmy has for them are from when they were toddlers

But they still love him and their bedroom

Their mum didn’t want to clutter their walls or anything, so she figured the flower painting was enough

And their mum would but their artwork up on her fridge, really, she WOULD

Zeke’s bedroom is a lil different

He lives in a trailer with his dad and stepmom, so because of limited space he has to share his room with his new baby brother

Zeke loves his little brother with his whole heart (he would die for him) but dang he just wants his own space

Every time he looks at his lil bro though, he changes his mind

He is just so gash darn cute

When he was decorating the baby’s side of the room with Cheryl, he made SURE to tape a Bulko poster next to his brother’s crib

Gotta have something there to inspire him

Zeke is convinced his baby brother is going to become the world greatest wrestler (well, second after himself, of course)

His room gets hot as all he’ll at night so naturally he has a fan in there

The only issue now is that he has to share the cool air in the coming summertime

This is Rudy’s room when he’s staying with his dad

He doesn’t keep a TON of stuff here, mostly just because he spends most of his time at his mums house

And plus, there’s not much he can do to alter his room since his dad’s just leasing the condo

He has his flounder plushie. He’s obsessed with that thing

Tissues next to his bed because he has allergies all of the time

His favourite comic book series makes posters and he HAD to have the fish guy

His dad kinda uses his room to put random stuff in

Like the bonsai trees

Rudy won’t say it to his face, but he does not care about those plants in the slightest

He also has never played baseball and neither has his dad? So where did that ball come from??

The car is vintage, it’s his dads old toy

He loves to bring it in for show and tell

Rudy also likes aliens and outer space

But it’s not one of his main interests at all so he keeps it on the downlow

He and his dad play competitive ping pong together

It’s one of the few sports that he can play as long as he has a puff of his inhaler between each set(?)

Needless to say, he does NOT miss this room when he’s with his mum, that’s for sure

This used to be where he and his mum AND dad lived before the divorce

Which is why it’s a little more personalized

He loves to read and his mum loves it when he reads so she keeps his bookshelf stocked

The fish guy figurine was bought for him by his dad, he just prefers to keep it in this room

His dad understands (at least, Rudy thinks he does)

I’m going to pretend that green toy is a borobu plush lol

Louise is mega jealous because it’s an official licensed one

But now he knows what to get her for her birthday, so..

His mum keeps medicated ointment and sunscreen on his bookcase for easy access

She is a teeny bit of a helicopter mommy

His flounder plush comes with him back and forth

He really likes music (obviously, he spends his free time playing in his school’s orchestra)

So when he was little his dad bought him his own radio

He listens to it every night before bed and every morning when he’s getting ready for school

Again, he likes outer space, so he absolutely had to have those glow in the dark wall stars

His mum has a humidifier in his room because it helps him breathe at night

Millie’s room is essentially a replica of Louise’s room, just with a few personalized touches here and there

She demanded a Kitty for her birthday so she got one

It’s name is Princess Sparkle Rainbow Muffin

Or at least, that’s what she tells Louise (his real name is Keith)

She doesn’t have Louise’s most current bed

Her parents had to draw the line somewhere, I guess

Her mum also wouldn’t let her get any of those LED light strips even though “Louise has them mom! I NEED THEM”

So they compromised and she got string lights that she literally never turns on

"Let's make things Black and White" .........is SO fascinating to me because narratively -- that's the exact OPPOSITE of what Daiji should be doing? A mentally healthy individual needs to learn to accept the darker parts of themselves.

Which is something all the siblings are slowly working towards. But, Daiji? He's literally the only one who has not really worked towards that at all? He continiously rejected his inner demon (until he couldn't anymore), he ignored Kagerou, and well --

Well I know Kagerou isn't dead. Logically that wouldn't make sense. Now -- I *DO* think perhaps Daiji did destroy their initial 'contract' -- of Kagerou being the "Mirage" Coping Mechanism .

When they go to Nine, the full extent of their distress and their lack of development are laid bare. They may regress to earlier parts of their life, replaying childhood triumphs or traumas. They may also alternate between depressive, dissociative periods and sudden hysterical outbursts.

They will, if at all possible, avoid letting anyone see them like this, and, as long as they have the strength to do so, will restore their image whenever they interact with others.

Rn I have the baseless theory that (Similar to how a Type 3 cuts off their authentic selves and separates from their emotions as they sink lower and lower) that although Daiji's win over Kagerou could have been a very positive thing --If Daiji learned to confront his own internal problems instead of focusing on the recognition of the external ones.

Instead I think him cutting of Kagerou was also him cutting off who he is as a person in order to fit into this righteous, holy, "Justice" mode he believes is valued by the people he cares about. And now with whatever the hell is going on with DV-J

I came across recently a website explaining mbti in a developmental way, as in the first function is developed in childhood, the second one in adolescence/ early 20s etc.

What do you think of it, and if you agree how does it impact how you type the members ?

How do you think the amount of stress of idol life impact the way they appear and how they’re typed ?

i think that there's some definite truth to the correlation of age with the functions, but i don't believe it's that structured. people in the mbti community who use this aspect of the theory religiously are really just talking about personal maturity & awareness when they say "development". a lot of people follow a slow pattern of growth over their lives, only really achieving what would be considered healthy in typology in old age bc type health is mostly a categorization of wisdom, maturity, and self-awareness. but this growth pattern is far from fixed. people develop, in this sense, at wildly different rates based on endless variables, so it's impossible to assign age ranges to function development using this understanding of what mental development is

that said, i do think people naturally develop their functions in order from dominant to inferior. that can be disrupted, but it won't disrupt itself & you'll never have underdeveloped upper functions compared to your lower. the speed that you develop your stack is about psychology not typology, tho. which should be considered when typing someone, but it's an intersectional thing & not so much an mbti theory thing

so a) when i type the members, or anyone, i don't rlly consider the functions in a structured way until i've assessed their overall level of personal & mental development unrelated to mbti, if it's possible to observe, as well as any mental health issues. then i determine if age is a reasonable variable or not, based on those things. as for bts, most of the boys don't rlly follow typical patterns of function growth for their ages. jungkook is the only one who seems to be on the common function development timeline, tho only jin, jimin, & yoongi are very in touch with their inferiors

b) the idol job inherently demands certain features of type to be active. an idol being good at dancing, for example, doesn't say much abt Se. neither does them having Se skills most intuitives don't, since being an idol requires access to Se. it also requires access to Fe or enneagram's social instinct, the heart center, and the sexual instinct. you have to type idols with this + other interactions between job description and typology in mind to be accurate

as for stress, specifically, an exemplar of this interaction is yoongi. he's drained by pretty much everything abt being an idol except the creative process & performing, but has to do the draining activities daily. so "lack of energy" in and of itself isn't proof of anything abt his typology, since his lifestyle doesn't support him being energetic

another obvious interaction is hobi's Fe becoming even more closed-off with his own feelings than normal exfjs are due to the pressures of his image & persona, to the point where he appears emotionally unavailable. surface-level, this conflicts with exfjs' need to connected with externalized emotions

jimin responds to the stress & pressure of being an idol by accessing his lower Te, which can make him appear tj-ish. there's too may ways each of their types intersect with idol-dom to list, but not a lot of armys seem to filter their typings through this lens, strangely

c) because he still doesn't know what a cognitive function is & he's tested as enfp a few times. i'm hopeful that maybe his curiosity will eventually lead him to the functions, but not expecting it. and even if it does, i'll be very suspicious of his sources lol

this exchange im proud of because it's really charged and honestly it's just a challenge, but a good one, to write Lee so... well, mean. i think deep down beneath all that politeness and genuine kindness, Lee has a mean streak from a childhood of being bullied and told he was less than, but that's not often talked about in fandom and honestly it's not like he ever got to rlly have any depth in the series so it's fun to write him like this. difficult but fun. and there's something very delicious about lee and gaara having a verbal sparring match so to speak

J: Write or describe an alternative ending to [insert fic].

oh man an alternate ending to kado... that's a hard one cause i feel like any sort of alternate ending would have to be them like not getting together? but the whole purpose of kado was to have a sweet lil romcom with some intense miscommunication but an overall happy ending.

i guess a possible alternative ending could have been gaara making the arrangement lee had ordered but instead of going to the banquet for gai he just puts it in the shops window and lee sees it on his way to work after having not spoken to gaara for a while and he kinda dithers around looking at the arrangement, trying to decide if this was like gaara's way of telling him he feels the same or what???

like i forget exactly if lee paid for it right away but i know either way gaara wasn't gonna make him pay so if lee had already paid gaara would have canceled the transaction which lee would have seen and taken as gaara refusing his request as well as just a general rejection. so then he'd like see the arrangement he requested and there'd be a lil sign saying it wasn't for sale so he'd have to go in and confront gaara. he'd find gaara in back in the greenhouse and they'd just look at each other and then i dunno run towards each other as the misters turn on and they'd kiss. something super like romcom-esque.

N: Is there a fic you wish someone else would write (or finish) for you?

No. Absolutely not. I am incredibly possessive of my fics and very particular in how things are executed. I have very specific things I wanna see and I know that my niche of political dramas isn't like everyone's bag but it's mine and i would rather do it myself tbh.

struggling to think of a third person mostly because im terrible at usernames, but both greyson and miriam are incredible writers, both inspire me a great deal (and spark a healthy dose of writer-envy!)

greyson's ability to churn out fics is absolutely incredible and they just have such brilliant ideas. and miriam... god what a fucking way with words. miriam can do more in 500 words than most ppl can do with 5,000, which is such an incredible skill to have. brevity truly is the soul of wit lol

V: If you could write the sequel (or prequel) to any fic out there not written by yourself, which would you choose?

i... cannot think of anything. honestly i think i just feel weird about the idea of writing someone else's fic? like even if it's a sequel to a fic and the author was like please write this for me, i think i'd just be like weirded out by it because it's not my idea and what they envision versus what i envision is gonna be different. i guess if it was like a collaborative effort i'd feel less weird about it.but i cannot think of any fics i'd jump at the chance to work on the sequel for.

Z: Major character death–do you ever write/read it? Is there a character whose death you can’t tolerate?

i have never shied away from character death and never will. like i get people who don't wanna write or read it or what have you, but it's just... not my bag. if a story needs death, a story needs death. it's a part of life and i think that culturally speaking there's a lot of unhealthy attitudes towards death and coping with death, and i'm less of a "fiction as escapism" person and more of a "fiction as a tool for conveying something and commentating on it" whether that's political or emotional or cultural. i think forms of art are the desire for human connection, for sharing yourself with others and creating community. it's an "i see you within myself, do you see me in yourself?"

you have an experience and you put it into art, and other ppl go "wow i feel the same"

and i think death and the way that the western world copes with death feels often very divorced from true acceptance. my mom died when i was a teenager from cancer, and i still struggle with that as an adult almost 20 years later. writing about death is a way to cope and figure out what her death means. it's a way to look back on the person it made me immediately after and the person i could have become vs the person i became.

so while i get everyone has like limits to things and death is traumatic and ppl don't always wanna read it, i think death is a part of life and must also be a part of art. we live and we die. a story cannot be without an ending, and sometimes that ending is death.

and no, at this point, there are no characters whose deaths i cannot tolerate. if the story necessitates a specific characters death, then that character will die. i will never, however, write death as a means of emotional torture porn or anything like that.
