i like words. i'm wont to create words as i feel a need for them. like, i like proselfship and what it conveys and how the word fits together.

so following that pattern, what other words can be found?

darkship is already a word. darkselfship makes sense. what about softship … softselfship … something about coping like ventselfship ?

i just think it would be nice for these words to exist so people could find more specifically what they're looking for, even if the tags don't get a lot of use. let me know about any thoughts or ideas you've got on this– like, should it be one whole word, or have a space? i don't know if anyone else will really care as much as me because words are a particular interest of mine but that's alright ^⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠^ 👍

Seven Fic(s) Sunday 😅

HELLO! I was feeling unhinged so rather than post seven sentences from one fic, here’s seven fics with one or two sentences i know i know need helpppp 🙃

1) the 5x06AU

When he sees how cinched the plastic around his wrists has gotten, how awful the deep red grooves are, a cruel voice whispers in the back of his head; you did that.

2) ren’s very overdue birthday fic

Even in the limited torchlight, Buck can track the path of disturbed earth, mud, and rocks leading back to his awkward position at the base of the incline, in the wake of what he imagines was a pretty accurate impression of a slip-n-slide.

3) the appendicitis fic

Buck carefully slices half a peach into even smaller pieces, and watches on tiredly as Isabel reaches for them—timidly at first—before throwing caution to the wind and grabbing them in her tiny fist, squishing their juices all over her fingers, and handing the mush back to her father as a gift.

“Oh for me?” Buck says graciously as he accepts the slobbery-fruit from her hand. “Thank you so much!”

4) the bobby coda 6x11

“They’re his favorite,” Maddie says then, sounding touched at the sincerity, and Bobby nods to let her know that even though he knew as much already, he doesn’t mind the confirmation. “Hates the peanut ones. He used to get so mad when our mom forgot. He’d scrunch his little nose up so tight—”

I should not have agreed, but I was tired, and I thought nobody would know. I left just after eight pm, and when I returned the next day, he was long gone. I was, of course, immediately let go, and deserved it.” Nope. Alex thought it was fishy when he read the official reports, and he thinks it stinks now. Abandoning his job for tiredness? Doesn’t ring true, not for this guy. “Why were you tired?” “Excuse me?” “You said Henry dismissed you early, and you were tired, so you agreed. Why were you so tired?” “It hardly signifies now, Mr. Claremont-Diaz,” Shaan says. “Perhaps I’d had a bad night, or an exhausting day.” “Was it exhausting if the Queen suddenly demanded an interview with Henry?” Shaan blinks quickly. “It would have thrown the schedule into some disarray, certainly, but it was something we could all accommodate.” “So it was sudden? The interview request from Queen Mary?" asks Nora, and there’s almost a flash of irritation in Shaan’s eyes as he replies. “I don’t recall, Miss Holleran.” “Ms, please,” Nora says, ultra-professional, although Alex knows her well enough to know she’s fist-pumping inside.

Harry remembers when Louis had called him in the middle of the night the first time he’d slept with a girl. He had been less than thrilled when Louis crawled into his bed to tell him about it. The memory is vivid echoing in his brain.  “I slept with her,” Louis had said, slipping under Harry’s covers and shifting around to get comfortable. Harry rolled over, his back to Louis. “With who?” “Annie,” Louis whispered.  Harry hardly remembers Annie now. He wonders if Louis does. People don’t tend to forget the person they lost their virginity to. Harry certainly hasn’t. Louis’ breath had been molten against Harry’s neck that night. He remembers resenting the way Louis had stuck his icy toes between Harry’s calves. Not because his toes were cold or because it was late at night, but because of Annie. Because he had slept with Annie, he had feelings for Annie, yet he was there, in Harry’s bed, when it was all said and done. “How was it?” he remembers asking, only to torture himself further. “Fine,” Louis replied in a tone so nonchalant it made Harry's mouth feel like wax. It was somehow worse than had he said it'd been amazing. “Weird. But fine.” “S’that why you’re at my house at 2 am?” he had murmured. “‘Cause you had mediocre sex with a girl? Were you at least nice to her?” And Louis had laughed out loud, pulling Harry close to his chest while Harry’s heart threatened to beat out of his. Harry can still hear it now. The way Louis had said “Harry,” with a chuckle, brushing his hand over his waist, his breath hot on his neck, melting his skin. “I didn’t just leave her stranded alone if that’s what you’re asking. She had to get home,” he said before asking if Harry was mad. “I’m not mad, just tired,” Harry lied.

for those of you who dont know the plot a basic tldr: mercedes imperial, an assassin working with a terrorist organization for the last 300 years, is finally killed. 20 years after she is sent to the digital penitentiary, archivists receive her cyberorganetic data and place it into a cloned body. mercedes imperial, a 23 year old taking a gap year before grad school, wakes up into a nightmare and is expected to recount and confess her crimes. her captors, previously unaware of the failsafe that erased centuries worth of memories, endeavour to mold her into a tool of propaganda. mercedes, unsure of what is fact and fiction, is forced to navigate the politics of a new world and discover how she became the woman she did.
