Boy Megan, it is almost like you are doing a bad job on purpose.
Nothing shows how inept Megan is at PR more than comparing what she is doing to Chris with seeing how well Taylor Swift's PR rep, Tree Paine, is doing for her. Results speak for themselves.
Tumblr media
I imagine below is Megan's reaction to Tree's Deuxmoi response. Wish she could have done this for Chris a months ago, at the very least.
Tumblr media
And just because I love "Community" (sincere apologies to all the beautiful, non-bitch Megans out there):

(Also, a warning not to underestimate someone named Tree Paine.)

Slip inside the eye of your mind
Don't you know you might find
A better place to play
You said that you'd never been
But all the things that you've seen
Slowly fade away
So I start a revolution from my bed
'Cause you said the brains I had went to my head
Step outside, summertime's in bloom
Stand up beside the fireplace
Take that look from off your face
You ain't ever gonna burn my heart out
And so Sally can wait
She knows it's too late
As we're walking on by
Her soul slides away
But don't look back in anger
I heard you say
Take me to the place where you go
Where nobody knows
If it's night or day
But please don't put your life in the hands
Of a rock and roll band
Who'll throw it all away
I'm gonna start a revolution from my bed
'Cause you said the brains I had went to my head
Step outside 'cause summertime's in bloom
Stand up beside the fireplace
Take that look from off your face
'Cause you ain't ever gonna burn my heart out
And so Sally can wait
She knows it's too late
As she's walking on by
My soul slides away
But don't look back in anger
I heard you say
So Sally can wait
She knows it's too late
As we're walking on by
Her soul slides away
But don't look back in anger
I heard you say
So Sally can wait
She knows it's too late
As she's walking on by
My soul slides away
But don't look back in anger
Don't look back in anger
I heard you say
At least not today

Probably difficult to pick but: what is your one favourite Oasis song and why? I'm sooo curious haha > <
Oh, don't get me started on these sorts of questions! I will ramble incessantly. You should not have asked 'why'. 🤣
Supersonic and What's The Story Morning Glory. Yeah, I know that’s two. Here's why.
Supersonic and What's the Story Morning Glory cannot be separated. Well, I can't separate them. I refuse to choose. They sit side by side and I revere them equally. Apart from these songs being just…you know, mega tunes, they take me back to when I first heard them, I mean, more so than any other Oasis song. I call these my ‘historical’ favourites, along with Wonderwall, which sits uniquely outside of the discography for me. It’s the special one.
The memory of first hearing Supersonic is still vivid. I was walking along an empty, sunlit street in autumn, the sky clear blue, the shadows long, and this song was blaring out of someone’s open window. I stopped on the street to listen for a moment, trying to figure out if I’d heard it before, who was singing, thinking they sounded drunk. And that's it. That's all I remember. I just recall the strangeness of that moment, the sky, the sun, hearing this really odd singer, not knowing I was hearing Liam for the first time. No matter how many times I listen to that song, this specific memory always jumps into my head. For some reason, I wouldn’t actually pay much attention to Definitely Maybe until after WTSMG was released. But Supersonic stayed with me.
WTSMG takes me back to a particularly chaotic house party in my student days. Rain and cold is what I immediately think of - quite the opposite to Supersonic. Foggy windows, cheap alcohol bottles, and the music stopping because someone was changing the CD. Then I heard the helicopter noise blasting through these massive speakers and those opening chords, that siren effect, the drums, that heavy riff and thinking something along the lines of what is this? I’d never really heard a song start like that. And everyone reacted to it. You just knew collectively that this song was something out of the ordinary.
So those two being my joint favourite song is as much to do with the memories as the music. I also have my heartfelt favourites, the songs that I didn’t immediately connect with but grew to love over time. Those songs are embedded in my soul in a different way to Supersonic and WTSMG, and are kinda my 'true love' songs.
It's amazing to think that everyone has a story, a memory or a feeling associated with hearing Oasis for the first time. Imagine being responsible for that?

opinion: favourite albums of all time pt 1
One of my absolute favourite albums of all time has to be Whats the Story Morning Glory by Oasis or WTSMG. The first time I listened to this album, damn. I was blown away. The singles are amazing. The track stuff is amazing. Fucking hell, all the B-SIDES are epic.
Firstly, the singles. I mean, come on. Wonderwall, don't look back in anger, roll with it, some might say, these all hit like a friggin train. They're so, so, so, so, good. And they hold up even now. Wonderwall is so overplayed everybody can sing along. DLBIA has become an anthem. Roll with it is pretty horrid, but it started the blurasis feud didn't it? Some might say is a personal fav 'cause it's so damn good and overlooked.
Next, the track stuff. Oh my lordy. Each and every song is mega. I don't care what Noel Gallagher says about definatley maybe, this stuff was the peak of oasis. Hey Now is overlooked, but it actually has a meaning. Cast No Shadow is a reflective piece meaning nothing, but it feels like it does. I really like Hello, no reason needed. It's just a good song. Shes electric has the greatest Liam Gallagher vocals ever. Fight me. Morning Glory is such a hype song. Champagne supernova is... champagne supernova. It's just that great. Liam sang his heart out, Noel wrote his heart out, and it all came together awesomely. Also bonehead did stuff. Look, shut up noel. I don't care about whatever meaning Definitely maybe had, WTSMG struck a chord in everybody, and you can't deny how great the songs were.
Also, the Bsides are so so so so so so so so so so so good. I'm a sucker for a heartfelt noel song, and these bsides filled my quota. Noel wrote gems like Talk Tonight, Rocking Chair, ACQUIESCE, The masterplan, even Boneheads Bank Holiday is a stunner. Whatever these guys were putting out back then, even the bsides were better than what most bands could do. It takes both an idiot and a genius to put something as epic as awe inspiring as acquiesce in a bside. Unfortunately and fortunately for us, Noel Gallagher is both of them.
So this is my longwinded rant about why we I love WTSMG so much. Each song is mega. The vocals and writing were incredible. What I love so much about Oasis is how each song strikes a different chord with someone else, something that's super hard for a lot of bands.
