#when Eri's quirk is super dangerous and so is Shigaraki's

rant about why I would have loved decay to have been Shigaraki's quirk (+musings about the future)
I mean it's still is 100% his quirk but him not being born with it is so disappointing to me. In 418 Tenko cries "why else would I have been born like this", only for the next chapter to answer such a heart-piercing question with "u werent' lol"…SUCH a cope-out omg.
Whew almost had to contend with reality that some kids manifest such horrible quirks as decay and horrible things happen because of it…thank god it was just a fault of this one dude (ughh)
In this very same manga we have examples of people accepting their quirks & assert that only they get to decide what is the meaning behind them, despite people trying to shove them into boxes. Shinsou using his "villainous" quirk be a hero <3 Shoto using his fire because it's HIS, not his father's <3 Eri, who was told she was born cursed, learning her power is like a knife - it can be dangerous but can also be used to make delicious food (I love that scene) <33 I've seen people saying that it would be repetitive for Tomura's arc end in the same way but I disagree. I thought that as the main antagonist, he is not only the final boss physically, but also the final boss thematically: His salvation could have been a culmination of the lessons we learned throughout the series, and a testament of their significance.
Tomura could have been the ultimate case of that setup. It's easy enough to tell Eri (someone with essentially super healing, who killed with it on accident) that she is born with a gift. But could you have told the same to Tomura (someone with hands that destroy everything, who used them to kill on purpose)? I guess we will never know. To have a man with destruction literally written in his genes, who was raised to believe there is something fundamentally wrong with his being, come to understand that only he can define his power, that he is not doomed because of the way was born. Aaaa it could have been so gooood :( What could have been a powerful story about self acceptance instead misses the mark completely (for me).
Ok FINE we also do have Toga's story incorporating this (with a few key differences) and we love her!! But it's still baffling to me that the main antag is doing a worse job at embodying the themes of the series than the supporting cast. Seriously, even if afo giving decay makes sense logistically (it's in his character, it was foreshadowed, yadayada), what exactly does it add to the narrative, thematically?
+Not really a serious point but there was something so resonating about abused boy's hands turning to destroy everything they touch because, when no-one else cared to save him, he had to end the abuse himself. The same way it's resonation that a depressed man turned into a cockroach. It doesn't need a reason because it just makes sense that would happen. (magical realism my beloved)
Shigaraki's story could still end with him reclaiming decay and it would still be neat tho!!
Idk about that awakening of reconstruction thing…feels too much like "healing=good, destruction=bad" (im more of a "destruction can be used to do both good and bad things" typa gal (like using it to save people from under rubble and stuff like that)). I'm not ENTIRELY against it tho. (The league could really use a healer right now lol). +Shigaraki awakening hope for a better world coinciding with awakening the power of creation that was denied from him would be cheesy but also cute. But also uhhh - didn't decay first start to manifest when he was playing with Mon, shining smile on his face from the knowledge that his granny was a hero? So what would be the narrative reason for decay to manifest then, but reconstruction now? UNLESS that WAS reconstruction and he was actually repairing the ball from Mon's teeth marks?? Reconstruction coupled with regeneration opens the door for all kinds of messed up, gorgeous body horror <33 (Tomura using his own bodymass for overhaul, like healing someone's obliterated arm by ripping his own arm off and giving it to them lol it would be sooo mmmmhmm) (sidenote: Are we gonna see mangled overhaul vestige or what??)
While we are talking about cheesy metaphors…Shigaraki getting back his airwalk (if that is his og quirk) and learning to fly after being freed from the man who groomed him? HELL YEA that's what im all about. I don't like decay not being his og quirk, like I probably made clear lol, but this would be beautiful not gonna lie (im just a sucker for freedom symbolized by flight (imagine him tiptoeing through skies without care in the world like Howl from howl's moving castle….with a cape and everything…glamour off the charts))

bnha ch 290: yup i remember all the way back when the mountain training camp arc released and people called it then. i was just about to say something about reaping and sowing ha.
297: surprised this max security prison for super dangerous quirk users doesn't have quirk suppressants and body armor for everyone.
298: now that i think about it. eraser head knew about eri's progress. he choose to amputate himself because at that moment they couldn't afford a second, though shigaraki managed to break contact anyways and im not sure his leg could have been salvaged. also surprised the hospital isn't overloading rooms given the major disaster that happened. bakugou's room has a lot of empty space.
303: i dislike the framing here that toya a child of 13 and younger was the one in the wrong here. horikoshi is framing toya's actions as out of line and sure burning himself wasn't the healthiest coping mechanism but he was not the main problem. also i've love to say 12 year old fuyumi blaming herself for her family's problems was insightful commentary on how eldest daughters get treated as 3rd parents instead of the children they are but thats giving horikoshi-sensei a little too much credit.
314: im sensing a double standard here for who gets assassinated and who gets imprisoned. like they imprisoned all for one and gigantomachia but these smups are the ones the public safety commission is killing? see my lack of knowledge on how the japanese government works means im only vaguely guessing what all these organizations do.
midoriya dark bunny era. take a bath! bruh you need a nap. 90s edgy protag! thats what i was thinking of!
320: midoriya cannot continue as he is but wasnt the whole point to keep him away from ua. i dislike when plans are changed halfway through they either should have committed to fortifying ua or kept up support of his feral rabbit lifestyle. in terms of wellness he's gone too far in neglecting himself I'm just wondering if what they did was actually a good plan.
the diper rat confession! stain pep talk! we're getting everything this arc
historically speaking, american foreign involvement is.. iffy. if the cia are involved things are probably going to get worse im looking at like a good chunk of latin america and the banana wars. arguably some of the more publicized stuff helped like taiwan, south korea, germany, and japan are doing pretty well for themselves, and the financial/logistics backing for europe and now ukraine (well the ww2 stuff was pure war profiteering). and then there's inherent abuses of the us industrial military complex, tax payer money to line the pockets of weapons manufacturers and defense contractors, preying on the poor with funding from tax dollars, the rampant abuse and all the crimes that get covered, the lack of regulation in general so you have human rights abuses environmental damage military bases usually poison the surrounding areas.
332: hmm we're too early in this fight. i think some of the pilots will die.
335: holy shit if those hagakure is the spy than the conspiracy theorists got it right. i remember there was this old fan theory circa 2017? 2018? which posited hagakure was the spy because how else did someone so weak get into ua like she can turn invisible and that's it. and how narratively she hadn't done anything while everyone else how a few pages at least. at the time i thought it was a cool idea for an otherwise boring character but the lack of evidence stopped me from going all in on it. in the early arc its said? implied? that there's a spy in UA and people were able to logic and reason it down to probably being a student (i dont remember how they ruled teachers out). hagakure was suspect number 1 but there were a couple other 1 A put up.
336: oh yeah the secret forest training camp. and yeah aoyama was the other one speculated to be a spy. the other conspiracy theoriests got it right!

Midoriya Izuku - Green for Hope, Red for Burning Passion
I always asked myself why exactly Horikoshi has changed Midoriya's character design so drastically.
Indeed, we go from a character called Yamikumo who looks like a feral child with the bad habit of eating his nails off, and drinks more coffee than humanly possible to an anxious bunny who smiles awkwardly and does not know how to accept compliments.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
To me, the difference is absolutely insane. Izuku's hair and eyes are uniform and reflect his character and surname. However, a thing that I find peculiar is how the dark (Black/Green) and the Red theme are a constant throughout particular tellings of his character.
The legendary red shoes are one of Deku's main features. It's part of his character. However, I just got to think why exactly (especially having an idea on why was green used for him) and I think that the answer might be very very banal. However, I do think that this is not the only reason.
First of all, there is the most simple reason which I could think of: Midoriya Izuku is described as plain. In my opinion, plain does not really define Midoriya but the concept of him being bland and capable of melting into background is fundamental to express him in the most little details (however, there are few things which inwardly contradict this description: first and foremost his freckles). But as it might be, and Midoriya is indeed considered not worthy look at for more than once (at least as described in the manga - which is also one of the reason why his design has been changed so much, as Yamikumo had literally zero chance to go unnoticed), it appears clear how this suppression of character, of wanting to relegate Mido to a background role is what instead pushes Izuku forward to make a bold choice of something like wearing red shoes. They are strikingly particular, and noticeable: which means that Midoriya is not happy about being an npc, but instead wants to be noticed and in some way stand out.
The second reason, which I mulled over if was relevant enough is All Might. A recurrent color in all All Might's costumes is Red (and Blue, which kind of reminds of Superman and the American Flag. A fact that I found interesting as well if how AM wears Blue, Yellow and Red while Midoriya wears Green and Red, and of course Blue and Yellow together form Green).
And finally the third and final reason (at least, for now) is that Red, as a colour reminds Deku of Kacchan (even if arguably, we see in the first panel of the manga how Izuku wore already his shoes so this might be false and instead it might refer to the fact that Red is Izuku’s favourite colour only), who we know he associates with victory. As the mental image of Kacchan, who was red eyes, is his substitute for him being able to stand proud, strong and capable to win, Izuku might want to express this strive to be strong.
Tumblr media
But what do these two colours mean, stand alone ?
As for Green: this colour, in different cultures, is associated with "Hope" . I think here the main gist and general going is that Midoriya represents Hope for the Heroes, Hope for the Unwanted, the Broken and the Damned (the Villains). I talked about Izuku being a Symbol of the New Society here, but in short, with Izuku Midoriya being fundamentally associated to the colour green, I think Horikoshi wants to express two things: how Izuku never loses hope (to be a hero, to have a quirk, to be a friend to Katsuki who bullied him for years or Shouto who straight up challenged him even before getting to know him, to reach and to save everyone) and how he represents and spreads hope for others (Eri, Kouta, the same Todoroki and Katsuki).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Green indicates life, renewal, harmony and safety. Which, in this sense, points out Izuku's nature as a person and how he is bound to feel restless unless he provides comfort to everyone, and that desire to save desperately anyone who he can reach. Green is a calming and soothing colour. It also stands for prosperity, freshness and progress - which point out not only the conclusion of Deku being N1 Hero, but as well at him 'changing up' the society and becoming the Symbol of Hope and Change (on which I briefly touched upon here).
However, on a negative side it also stands for Greed (wanting to be a hero and follow AM steps even when he had a hard time adapting his body to his new quirk) and Envy (Bakugō first and foremost and the generally heroes and those who has time to wield their power properly). In this negative meaning of the colour, I think Izuku’s selfless nature comes to the surface even more: how he feels bound to feel negative emotions which spur his renewal and development (after all, he did unlock Black Whip after Monoma had insulted Bakugou), but at the same time use this emotion toward a bigger goal (him being mad at Shigaraki, but at the same time wanting to save him - I wrote about this too here).
Green, is, finally, the colour of the Heart chakra: an expression of how Midoriya puts everything before him, because his heart cannot take the selfishness of thinking of himself first, which also come hand in hand with his sacrificing nature and reminds of his name meaning and the association made with the number 9. Indeed, “Opening the Heart chakra allows a person to love more, empathise, and feel compassion” - which in short, stands for an externalisation of Mido’s personality.
On a shorter note, in Japan, the colour green represents youth, eternity, vitality and energy - which, in its own way is both a confirmation and a denial to other references made in Izuku’s character, such as his dangerous nature, him not being concentrated to live on for more than he is allowed to fulfil his duty (him being tied to number 9 and so on), and at the same time it reminds us of OfA, as it gains more power and energy and at his cheery, youthful persona.
As for Red, as the colour of Blood, it also stands to indicate '' Danger, Sacrifice, Courage" (which reconnects to his name's theory and numerology, of which I talked about here, in short).
In addition, red is usually used to professionally gain attention (it's hard to miss something so bright) and convey confidence. We know for a fact that Deku has been wearing red shoes since he was a kid (or at least, since he met Bakugō, which coincides with Izuku being four) and that despite being Quirkless, he always showed courage in standing out to people even when they thought of him as 'inferior' because on his unusual condition.
Tumblr media
Among other negative meaning, there is an overflow of temper, anger, agitation, and overbearing, demanding and oppressive behaviours. As clear as day, these characteristics relate more to fiery Katsuki than Deku, but as stated before, Deku puts Katsuki as model and adapts his combat style to resemble Katsuki’s. So, this overflow of energy and action is a double-edged sword which affects both Katsuki and Izuku in different ways (and is mellowed out in Izuku’s character by his other soothing characteristics , but more on that later).
Also, Red, in Asia is a lucky colour which might (or not) hint at how, despite everything Izuku got his 'lucky' chance to inherit AM's power and follow his dream of becoming a hero. Particularly, in Japan this colour is associated and denotes strength, passion, self-sacrifice. A transmission of feeling as complex and empowering as the ones Deku fills while he is living his everyday life as a future hero, summed to his nature and inherited quirk.
Red is also a magical and religious color. It symbolized super-human heroism to the Greeks and is the color of the Christian crucifixion, which might be as meaningless as other things, but in this case it might greatly relate to the type of enormous power Izuku tries to reign in, and to the self sacrificing spirit which he proves again and again.
So far, the meanings of the colours which have been associated with Deku are in line with his name, his personality and even the storyline which has been drawed out.
Among other meanings red represents power, courage, energy, passion, and creates physical effects such as enhanced metabolism, enthusiasm, higher level of energy (which comes back to the initial reasons on why Deku chooses Red as a distinct colour for himself and his shoes).
The color red is linked to the most primitive physical, emotional, and financial needs of survival and self-preservation.
Finally is also the colour of leadership, determination and courage. So in short, the colours red, where it indicates energy, action and strong emotion-filled desires and aspirations, is also weak to overbearing aspects which transform empowerment into negative traits (which is what, in the end, is represented by Bakugou). It is also strong-willed and can give confidence to those who are shy or lacking in will power (the shoes in Deku’s case).
Red is the colour of the First (or Spine) Chakra and usually allows a person to be grounded and connect to universal energies, while Green is the link between spiritual and material.
What do these two colours mean in association with each other?
Onto how these two colours are related to each other, especially considering the premises made, we see that Red (life-giving properties, trust, belonging and violence) and Green (health, eternity, youth and greed) are not only opposites, but they complete and balance each other out. Indeed, to reign over emotions and actions, to red is usually added green which indeed is a pain-relieving patch for red’s intensity (the theory of Bakugou and Deku being two sides of the same coin are thriving).
Midoriya Izuku is an intense person. His personality allows him to balance out his power with a selfless nature, and while he himself is sweet and caring, his fiery eyes (and shoes) express for him his utmost sincere feelings, which deep down are very telling. As mentioned before, Izuku responds to Monoma when he insults Bakugou and makes a jab at how actually Bakugou is the one who ultimately terminated AM, by unlocking a new dangerous and powerful quirk, which is so powerful and fiery, and red in his intensity, that they need Shinsou’s intervention to actually calm him down.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Izuku is a overly protective person: he has forgiveness as a foremost characteristic and even if he does mention how he will not forgive Shigaraki for what he has done, on second though he realises that even a ‘monster’ like Shigaraki deserves to be saved, and therefore his other nature takes over.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Therefore, the coexistence of these factors, and his personality are probably at the origin of why Midoriya has had such a drastic make-over before becoming Midoriya Izuku, and why the colours of Red and Green are fundamental in the description which lets us have a full picture of Midoriya as an individual: something who is full of hope and energy, striving to express whisk power and passion while trying to concern only himself with the danger that comes with his mission to save everyone.

We’re the Same, You and I.
Tumblr media
It’s a classic villain line, but it’s also true. Heroes and villains aren’t born in My Hero Academia, they’re made. Despite what hero society a lot of what propels people towards hero or villainry is just circumstances. There’s no better demonstration of this then Midoriya, and Shigaraki who have the exact origin point but because of circumstances were pushed in complete opposite directions. People are not good or evil. People are mainly reacting to circumstances and struggling to get through them.
Deku and Shigaraki can be so similiar on the inside, and so different on the outside because what they’ve experienced is different. That’s important, because the world is not fair. Rather than blaming people for what they’ve endured, and struggled against in an unfair world, or trying to fix the circumstances of the world heroes instead villaiize victims of circumstance.
1. Good Victim / Bad Victim
Shigaraki and Deku is the same. There’s a nature vs. nurture argument in My Hero Academia, where quirk society suggests that people born with more violent, destructive quirks are therefore by nature more prone to destruction in violence. In every single case however we see this is not the case. Tenko destroyed his family by accident, Toga was pushed by familial abuse until she suffered a psychological break, the destructive potential of Twice’s quirk only came about because he was poor and homeless. He was just a delivery guy before that point.
Gran Torino suggests the idea that there’s no way Shigaraki can be saved or reformed, as if Shigaraki decided to become a villain on his own. Despite knowing how manipulative a person AFO is.
Tumblr media
There is a double standard in regards to victims known as Good Victim, Bad Victim. It’s the idea that instead of the idea that all humans react badly when placed in stressful situations, there are good ways to react to abuse, and bad ones. It fits with the double standard of hero soecity, people who are meek, quiet, victims like Eri are saved, while little Tenko who was ragged, ugly, and violently lashed out against his father in self defense nobody even lifts a finger to save.
It goes beyond that though, what Gran Torino is suggesting that if Shigaraki Tomura were a good person, he would have somehow held onto that goodness despite being a manipulated and abused by a crimminal mastermind for fifteen years. That if Shigaraki were a good person, he just somehow magically would not react to trauma, or abuse, and would magically break free from AFO’s control with magic and sunshine.
It’s an idea that ultimately blames victims for the abuse they are put under. It suggests that somehow Shigaraki deserved the abuse that he was put through, because he was bad all along from the start.
A morality trope about the arbitrary distinctions writers make between certain sorts of victims. If a character in fiction has a problem or ailment or social situation, and the creators intend him to be sympathetic, the character will have acquired the problem in the most socially acceptable way. If the character isn't sympathetic, then he will have contracted the illness through "your own damn fault".
Tumblr media
By suggesting that Shigaraki was born bad and circumstance has nothing to do it, it puts all the fault for Shigaraki’s badness on Shigaraki himself. Therefore, Gran Torino remains morally pure. Nothing about the world around them needs to be corrected. Nothing about Gran Torino needs to be corrected. It is always the victim’s fault for acting the way they do, and not the cirumcstances that drove them to act that way.
Yes, victims are still responsible for their reactions. Yes, being a victim doesn’t mean you get to lash out and not be responsible for the people you hurt. However, people can be both villains and victims at the same time. Nobody deserves to have gone through what Shigaraki went through. By invalidating his victimhood and suggesting Shigaraki only became this way through his OWN DAMN FAULT, all it means is more victims will be ignored. Good victim bad victim is bad because it moralizes victimhoods around arbitrary lines. Usually around what’s a “socially acceptable” reaction to victimhood. (Whatever that means).
Tenko was just a normal kid. Not only that, most normal people would react that with if exposed to Tenko’s cirucmstances. Most people aren’t extraordinarily good or extraordinarily bad with a few outliars, most people are reacting to circumstances. Almost any normal person would be that way if they were exposed to Tenko’s circumstances and we know this because, the league is made out of people who are just like Tenko, and who all started out as normal kids. However, circumstances can change, and people can change. Rather than trying for that result, Hero Society focuses on punishing it’s worst victims.
“The point is: People improve when they get external love and support. How can we hold it against them when they don’t?”
The league shows improvement when they are exposed to trust, and compassion with one another.
Tumblr media
By choosing between good and bad people to save, the people who are suffering the worst will never get the help they need. As Shigaraki’s speech affirmed this later, Heroes aren’t for protecting the worst victims who need the most saving, they sheperd the majority and exclude the minority.
Tumblr media
This even extends to what Dabi asks Tokoyami. Who is it that is most in need of saving?
Tumblr media
The hero kids this entire arc have moved to protect the pro heroes. However, not only are the pro heroes guilty of bringing the kids into a warzone without permission in the first place and putting them in danger. Pro Heroes are also, at fault for most of society’s ills because they contribute to the problems of society that villains are blamed for. Parental abuse, Homelessness, Quirk Discrimmination, Shigaraki’s entire life, all of the villains are the victims of the worst abuse and rather than rehabilitate them the heroes have been violently beating them down all this time. The heroes have blood on their hands because they’ve been beating down victims and punishing them all this time and making things worse, but they never have to bear any responsibility for that because all blame falls on victims.
2. Deku is Given Everything
One of the most important parts of Shigaraki’s foiling with Deku is that everything that Shimura Tenko should have had, Deku was given instead. Gran Torino victim blames Shigaraki for trampling over Shimura Nana’s memory.
Tumblr media
However, it’s Gran Torino who made the choice to ignore Nana’s final wishes. Nana’s wish was for Kotaro to live a happy life apart from her, and unaffected by both her decisions, and whatever AFO was planning to do to her.
Tumblr media
However, Shigaraki is continually punished over and over again because he just happened to be born as Shimura Tenko, Shimura Nana’s grandson. It was Gran Torino’s responsibility to make sure that Kotaro, and her family was protected from AFO but he failed that. When he still had a chance to help Nana’s last remaining family member, he neglected that instead. The one trampling all over Nana’s legacy is Gran Torino, because he refuses to honor her wish to protect her last living family member. Gran Torino blames Shigaraki, because he can’t face the fact that he himself made the wrong choice.
Tumblr media
Shigaraki started with the exact same origin point as Deku. However, Deku was helped by All Might. The things that Shigaraki should have received Deku was given instead. And I’m not even talking about super powers. I’m talking about help on the most basic level.
All Might and Gran Torino knew about Kotaro, and knew that he might be targeted. Rather than checking up on him, they ignored him for years. Even after learning about Shigaraki’s circumstances, they still chose to ignore rather than even make the attempt to do something about it.
Tumblr media
Shigaraki’s arc is one of losing things over and over again, whereas Deku’s arc is being given things. Deku is saved by All Might finding him that day and telling him he could become a hero. Shigaraki just needed one person to save him, but All Might didn’t show up that day because he was turning a blind eye to his responsibilities.
Tumblr media
Deku is given the help ne needs, when he needs it. Whereas, Shigaraki is never helped. Deku is given two successive mentors due to his connections with All Might, Eraserhead and Gran Torino. He didn’t even earn Gran Torino because he didn’t get far enough or make a good enough impression in the sports festival. Deku’s mentors all make an effort to stay alive and stay with him. (Sir Nighteye was Mirio’s mentor he doesn’t count). Shigaraki loses mentor after mentor.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Shigaraki loses both All For One and Kurogiri, and had to find a way to survive without both of them. AFO deliberately abandoned Shigaraki to retraumatize him and make his hatred towards the heroes worst. All Might makes a promise to stay with Deku, and stay alive, because he knows emotionally Deku needs him.
The things I’m talking about Deku is given are support, stability and a consistent environment. These are things Shigaraki has never had his entire life. All Shigaraki has is violence he’s endured countless times over and over. Deku is given six quirks that he unlocks by having a dream about them. In order to start stacking multiple quirks, Shigaraki has to train in the mountain for a month without sleep in order to prove himself to AFO’s remnants who instead of just giving him a chance constantly force him to prove himself, but he also had to endure months of horribly painful surgery. Retraumatizing himself yet another time, because Shigaraki has been a victim of lifelong experimentation under Ujiko. He was taken in to become an experiment. It’s not really something he can consent to if he was adopted when he was five years old, and then groomed for fifteen years with the expectation that he would submit himself into this surgery in order to become AFO’s proper heir.
Tumblr media
The remnants of the OFA quirk try to guide Deku and lend him his strength. The remnants of the AFO quirk only try to control Shigaraki.
Tumblr media
Deku is a good boy yes, but is it because he’s inherently a good person or is it because he hasn’t faced what Shigaraki has? Shigaraki is forced again and again to confront the ugliest parts of society, quirk discrimmination, abuse, whereas Deku gets to remain wholly oblivious of them. It’s not even that Deku thinks that Shigaraki is too much of an extremist in trying to correct society, Deku doesn’t even think there’s a problem with the society that created Shigaraki in the first place.
Tumblr media
Deku forgives heroes, but not the biggest victims of heroes. He is moving to protect people like Gran Torino, and Endeavor who are both responsible for the creation of Shigaraki. Gran Torino through neglect. Endeavor because he is an abuser just like Kotaro was, and he also, created Dabi who is so much more like Shigaraki. Who is to say that Deku would not have turned out just like Shigaraki if exposed to similiar circumstances? Look at his reaction in the latest chapter.
Tumblr media
Dkeu’s reaction, his feral faces, his frothing at the mouth violence all resembles Shigaraki. It’s almost like those who are exposed to violence are pushed to become more violent. Now circcumstances are reversed and Deku sees somebody’s body falling apart, like how his used to when he used the OFA quirk.
Tumblr media
Deku’s response is yeah, it’s time to beat the shit out of this guy. Deku’s response to violence is only to become more violent. Not only is he not even trying to overcome the cycle, he’s not even aware the cycle exists. So, then. So then. If Deku can become violent enduring the same violent circumstances that Shigaraki once did. If Deku can become spiteful, hateful, even vengeful.
Then, what exactly is the difference between Shigaraki and Deku?  The only difference is what they’ve been through. Shigaraki has been abused more, so he’s crazier that’s all. Who they are inside is the same after all this time. The only difference between them really is that Shigaraki is punching up, while Deku punches down from a position of privilege.

BNHA Headcanons once more
Villain Izy is amazing, delicious food to me. Love the complexity and the way I can make him utterly twisted in a severe way. However, I know it’s plausible for Bak to be the root of his hate... but I may have something else be the main source and leave him as collateral damage. Shouldn’t he hate the society he lives in? Wouldn’t he go bigger, broader? Forget Bak and his childish behavior. Where did he learn all of that from? What was the root of the discrimination? The societal set standard for acceptability? Yeah, sure, Bak was an asshole and out of line— but oh please, if you think Izy wouldn’t logically think bigger in his revenge. The discrimination comes from the messed up society and you better believe he is coming for it. It’s crooked out look on people’s worth based upon whether they posses a quirk or not. It’s idiotic, horrific. Personally, if I happened to be in their universe? I’d be a villain. No hero, no hero loving civilian or a vigilante. Hell no, I’d be a villain and fighting the system.
I personally like black Mina, blasain Deku, Latino Sero, Samoan Kirishima and people also have mentioned Latino/light skinned Bakugo which I don’t mind or see the fault in either
For Shigarakis birthday, everyone got together and made him hand shaped soaps. He opened the box, peered inside to see a bunch of different colored hand shaped soaps and glared at them all. Of course Shig uses them, but the thought was annoying yet thoughtful.
Personally I have many ships and groups I am behind. With that said, they have been given names (only a few so far since I’m focusing on the ones I have been/will be posting about the most). They range from friendship to actual ship which will be noted as ‘f’ and ‘s’..... Wonder Trio©️ (Bak, Kiri and Mina ~ f). Core Three©️ (Izy, Bak and Todd ~ either or). Fatal Four©️ ( todokiribakudeku ~ s). Forsaken©️ (Vil!Izuku, Dabi, Shigs ~ f).
Let’s get some normal teenage HCs going..... Kirishima, Bakugo, Izy and Ochaco have stretch marks... Kirishima has them from his quirk— it’s sudden development of unbreakable, Izuku from his intense fast growth for the quirk, and Bakugo as well..... For her quirk, Momo would need to store more energy which means she would be chubbier and that’s closer to canon in the manga (Ochaco is also not super thin like they showed in the manga).
Todoroki doesn’t wake up until the afternoon on some days, same can be said for half the others.
Kaminari moans in the back of class
Sero doesn’t talk much, he is more laid back. So I believe he’d walk behind the Bakusquad or in the grass.
When the Bakusquad goes out, Bakugo hangs towards the front. He says it’s because he doesn’t want to be near them, but in reality he wants to keep a lookout for any danger and protect them all first. It also is because of the LOV incident.
Kirishima notices that, how he is constantly looking around and staring after certain lingering figures until they check out as unthreatening. Kirishima would be the one to look out for Bakugo, as a second pair of eyes with everyone else in on it.
Also along these lines^ Bakugo likes the people he is with to be in his range of site. Same reasonings as above. Whenever they are in stores, he keeps them in his peripheral and scans for exits and entrances. Whenever someone leaves his site for a moment, he snaps at them and brings whoever wandered away back to the group. Everyone soon adapted to his constant need to check everyones position and started telling him wherever they intended to go. Mina: Hey, Im going to the shoes section. | Sero: I’m going with Kaminari to the games
Bakugo doesn’t like people behind him.. once again, same as above^ so I believe Kirishima would ease Bakugo’s nerves by touching his back as he leaves his peripheral and passes through his blind spots to ensure Bakugo is always aware of his position.
Denki is Mitsuki’s favorite. It just makes sense. He is the type to walk in and go “You have such a lovely home”, “You’re 35? Shut up, you don’t look a day over 22” “Bakugo listen to your mother”, “Let me help with the groceries”. Tell me I’m wrong. You can’t. Ugh. Also I semi ship adult Denki with Mitsuki, as well as hc him to have been crushing HARD in his teen years.
Bakugo was a leash kid
Midoriya was a stroller kid
Bakugo once owned a pet fish as a kid..... never again. Never. Again.
Denki got extra time during tests because he couldn’t focus
Bakugo, Izy, Aizawa and all the class girls would liberate Eri and teach her to never take shit from men or the hero society. That she is more than a gossip topic or someone to objectify. They would create a powerful hero that knows her worth and wouldn’t take shit from anyone.
Eri makes friendships bracelets with beads for Bakugo and Izy. The three of them match. Izy wears it whenever he can along with Eri and Bakugo has it hung up on his cork board.
Eri likes to do makeovers with whoever is unlucky enough to cave. The results of your makeover usually is determined on whether she truly thinks you deserve a makeover or if she just wants to mess your face up. For instance, Izy got a really nice face of makeup with complimenting colors. Meanwhile, Bakugo looked like a circus clown with lipstick in his eye and eyeshadow smeared across his forehead.
Todoroki has no filter. Everyone says it’s because he doesn’t understand social queues (cues?) — they are right... but that’s not the point. The point is Todoroki will say the most out of pocket things without taking a second to question whether it’s a good idea. Everyone had parent day at school and all the parents showed up to get a tour and shadow training. On first sight of seeing Bakugo’s mom, Todoroki just deadpans “milf.” And continues to blank stare like nothing.
Uraraka absolutely decks Bakugo in the face the first time they actually spar together. He isnt one to make it an uneven fight but she proposed the deal of “if I can land one good punch then you’re sparring partner for the week”. Bakugo doubted it would be that good, he’s been hit by Kirishima and Izuku for fucks sake but.. hey a challenge is a challenge. So he hangs his arms by his side and smirks cockily while saying “sure, give me a little love tap or whatever—.” And gets hit so hard he spins and face plants on the floor then doesn’t get up for a few minutes. Everyone collectively gasped then broke into laughter. And yes Izuku recorded it then posted the video everywhere

A post for some BAMF Izuku fics <3 (more of these will be added and the list will be updated as i read them)
Fics i've read:
The Secret Ingredient is Crime- Izuku only had a whole month to further prove himself worthy of Yuuei's golden acceptance, and he was going to do whatever it took to make it in. Yuuei would never truly know what hit them until it was too late. (The secret crime AU in it entirety is fucking amazing and what wouldn't i give to read more stuff with it)
Deku the Villain Hunter: Support Hero - We all know the story: After being told he couldn't be a Hero by All Might, Midoriya Izuku still wandered over to a supervillain attack where he could save Bakugou Katsuki. But what if he had made the other turn? The answer is a butterfly effect that would lead him on a path to paving his own future. A path of revenge, finding his own moral compass, and doing the impossible. (OKAY MANY THOUGHTS. Very cool story and aspects. I binged it overnight and lost a bit of sleep the next night as well.)
The Story of How Midoriya Izuku Asserted His Dominance (And Traumatized Japan) - The Sports Festival was supposed to be a break from stress. Shouta should have known there is no such thing as a break with his class.
making it right (for real this time) - - Izuku is a support course student at UA, and Katsuki's neighbor, best friend, and former bullying victim. After Izuku's performance at the sports festival, Katsuki realizes something. He has to make things right. -
Hero Fall (UA Civil War Exercise) - It's now the end of the first year of UA for our students. Nedzu had decided to bring back the annual Heroes vs Villain fight. The fight shall last 5 days and the villain leader is Izuku Midoriya, with the commanding officer of the hero team being Katsuki Bakugo. But, what happens when Izuku is left alone?
Hero Class Civil Warfare - Heroes lead by Bakugo. Villains lead by Midoriya. Seven days prep time. Three days for Izuku Midoriya to show why they should be glad he's not a real villain.
"I Didn't Know You Had It In You." - Midoriya goes feral rage mode in his fight against Overhaul. The beat down still happens, but with Eri no longer at his back, he gets more violent. One For All reacts in an interesting way and Midoriya commits a terrible and unheroic act - the cold blooded murder and maiming of Chisaki Kai. Shigaraki is there to watch it all unfold.
Plan C meets Plan A - Even if All Might is right and Izuku can't be a hero, Izuku refuses to be useless. So Izuku uses his analysis skills to develop Plan C: Consulting in order to help the heroes. Eraserhead is impressed by this mysterious new consultant but alarm bells in Deku's behaviour quickly have Aizawa recruiting help for Plan A: Adoption.
Q. A. B. - One month after @hawks_unofficial's initial viral post, the blog titled "Quirk Analysis Blog for the Future", otherwise known as "Q. A. B.", has gone from an average of 10 views per post to an average of 20,000 views per post. Midoriya Izuku does not know how to view the impressions analysis for his suddenly popular blog, and only notices that sometimes, people actually comment on his posts now. He does not google himself or his moniker and thus does not see the rise in online articles and speculation. He is unaware that the "kyuu-ei-bee" he begins to hear about in passing refers to his own blog. He does not have a Twitter account. At the time, Midoriya Izuku is 15 years old.
How to murder your father - It's dangerous to be a bad father when you have a life insurance. Just saying.
Negation - Passive Quirks are a bitch. Izuku is reasonably done with the situation.
Thanks For Your Support - Izuku has the talent and the intellect to be the first Quirkless pro hero, and everyone at UA knows it. Unfortunately, his desire to become a hero has long since been buried thanks to the words of his childhood friend and childhood hero.
Policed To Meet You - Izuku takes All Might's advice and becomes a cop.
Vigilante Work And Other After School Activities - Izuku is a vigilante, Aizawa likes cats and therefore kids who help cats, and sometimes breaks must be forced upon overachieving teenagers.
When the Commission Lost Total Control - The hero polls have a small part where one can suggest their own hero. This is done just because of the amount of heroes is to great to name them all. This creates a little problem for the commission because a vigilante is assumed to be a brand new hero by the public- and ranks pretty high. Because of that, this vigilante now is too popular to hide and they can't come out with their mistake either! Think of the chaos that would bring.
Izuku being Badass but like in not that grand of a way but still tearing-people-down-in-some-way kind of way
He Was Quirkless - Midoriya get's sick of discrimination against the quirkless and decides to do something about it. It leads to some interesting situations. A trilogy.
bloody, but unbowed- It's Advocacy Week for Yuuei's hero students and it gives Midoriya Izuku a lot to think about about what kind of hero he wants Deku to be.
Called Out - When Izuku is hit by a quirk that will cause him to call out the first person to be rude to him on the way to school with every mistake they've made in the affected persons presence or have otherwise effected said affected person, Aizawa is in for a rough ride. In other words, with some help from a quirk, Izuku rakes Aizawa over the hot coals until he gives out. (a great fic but i've got mixed feelings on this one because on one hand, izuku is badass but on the other its Aizawa bashing and really like him skhdskdb so yea! Read it as per your tastes!!)
The time when everyone learned that izuku respects Bakugo more than all might. - I didn't like how Bakugo was tied up during the sports festival and so izuku didn't. Badass izuku roasted all might and midnight.
Villainous Sunshine - After an innocent question, Class 1-A learns just how terrifying Izuku's analysis is. Nedzu's along for the ride.
Never understand ( and you can't ) - Midoriya is sick and tried of his classmates bias and prejudice against the quirkless community and finally breaks
Mastermind: Strategist For Hire - Izuku Midoriya never got the chance to save Bakugo from the sludge villain and impress All Might. With his dream crushed, Izuku becomes bitter and angry. It also doesn't help that he faces discrimination at every turn. All he ever wanted was to be appreciated, so when the villains are the ones to recognize his talents rather than the heroes, well, Izuku just can't resist. He might as well help those who actually want him around. Mistakes were made, and now society must face a villain of their own making: Mastermind.
Malignance - Deku is far scarier than anyone gives him credit for.
Fics in my to read list which has/probably has BAMF izuku
Young Midoriya - Izuku Midoriya couldn't help himself when he saw someone in trouble. Even at 12 years old, his instincts drive him to help those in need. So when he sees Kacchan and his goons about to ambush another student, he has to step in, right? It's not like this hasn't happened before. What is different this time though, is that he's never had an audience that consisted of the Number One Hero.
Heroics and Other Things That Don't Require Superpowers - Izuku doesn't have a quirk. That's the long and short of it. After being told his whole life he can't be a hero, General Education at UA is the best he can hope for, right? Wrong. Dead Wrong. So super wrong that his best friend from Gen Ed, all of Class 1A and a whole mess of Pro Heroes are going to prove to him how wrong he is. Izuku has the makings of a hero, and his lack of a quirk only throws those qualities into starker relief. After all, who wants to be as strong as All Might when you can be the cleverest hero in the business?
Cases of More Than - Izuku is known as Deku online. He's an analyst of quirks, sometimes even working with the local detective, Tsukauchi, on a case. He meets new friends, builds a few relationships, and slowly crushes on his best friend. But then he's thrown into the General Studies Course at U.A. It doesn't help that All for One is showing an interest in him at all.
No Regret - In this world there is no hard set villain or hero. No victim and aggressor. Everyone is at fault for something and Izuku, with his own villain group, will make everyone pay. Even the bystanders who did nothing. This is what society gets for abandoning it's people. Deku will manipulate everyone and be the greatest villain, all so the world can be a better a place. With the stakes so high there is no time for regret.
We Are a Different Kind - Mirio doesn’t think he can be a hero anymore now that he’s quirkless, Izuku calls bullshit.
Live a Hero - "You either die a hero, or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain." Or, you're raised a villain, rebel when you're nine, and fight against the odds to become a hero anyway. That's how it is in Izuku's case.
Prodigal - After being convinced to give One for All to Mirio, Midoriya Izuku must rebuild his shattered dreams with bloody hands.
Two Sides of the Same Coin: Vigilante - Izuku is orphaned at the age of four and is sent into the Japanese Foster Care System. After multiple failed attempts at finding a forever home and some unfortunate circumstance, he ends up on the streets. Eventually, the vigilante, Deku appears. Eraserhead must gain his trust to bring Deku back to the right side of the law. If he he does, however, the untrustful but pure-hearted boy may just be a bit more than Aizawa Shota can handle.
From Muddy Waters - - but the sleeve of his tracksuit was bulging, tearing and ripping and a mass of twisted flesh, nearly as big as the boy himself and nauseatingly familiar (the arm of the man that had torn a hole in his side with a grin and left him a frail shadow of himself) swung forward and slammed into the flat face of the giant robot. Izuku wants to be a hero more than anything.
Pieces are easily sacrificed when they're nameless - Nobody ever thought quirkless, weak, weird Midoriya Izuku was dangerous. This perception carried over to his first year high school class, because really despite the super strength Midoriya didn't have it in him to be dangerous. That was their first mistake. And the one that would see them fall.
Not exactly BAMF izuku but i just wanted to rec these fics <3
In the shade of a sunflower - Being biologically quirkless came more with an extra pinkie joint in the toes and a stunning lack of vestiges mutations. It came with smaller things, like extra teeth that did virtually nothing, exploding organs, and weird exposed nerves that weren't designed to feel pain.
Throat Punch - In which Aizawa attempts to teach Izuku how to use various battle tactics and it goes just about as well as you'd expect. At least Shinsou is there with his fantastic commentary. (just a fun lil thing where izuku is really stronk and trains with shinsou and aizawa)
So Be It - He could still do good. Midoriya could show them all what a hero without powers looked like. If he had to break a few rules to do it, so be it. So be it… (as stated not exactly BAMF but its a vigilante izuku so ye-)
Never Enter a Drinking Game with Bakugo or Izuku - Izuku walks in on Kirishima and Kaminari having a drinking competition (no alcohol involved). And it reminds him of an old story.
5 Times Midoriya Taught Class 1A about Memes and 1 Time they Found a Villain that Understood Them - After being diagnosed as quirkless, Midoriya gets into pre-guirk media and finds memes. He shares them with Class 1A. Aizawa doesn't get paid enough for this. (THIS FIC???? FUCKING AWESOME. LITERALLY WHAT I WANTED TO SEE)
Midoriya: JD Version - Nedzu has decided that a play should be put on so that the students can learn how to "go undercover", an idea which Aizawa thinks is utter bullshit. They're putting on Heathers and when Nedzu chooses to cast Midoriya for JD, everyone objects. Midoriya is a much better actor than they thought.
that is a lot!! I hope you have fun reading it!!!

The Detriment of a Pro-Hero Society
Also known as: Kids are kind of being brainwashed into being heroes, let’s look into that.
Dedicated to @deafmic for getting me back into this bullshit and inspiring me to finish something I had started noting out about two years ago. By now, I’m sure much of this has been said over time by various people, and it makes me happy to know that there are others out there who like to look deep into the background culture and settings of their favorite manga!
I apologize in advance if you notice an idea of yours here; I haven’t been active in the fandom in two-ish-years, so I may be restating some things you guys already have. I consider this rambling analysis to be free to use and abuse by anyone, no credit necessary! I only get a little bit of time on the weekends to really be on my PC, so if you send me an ask or reply to this, it may take me some time to reply back!
Anywho, onto this mess I’ve made. It’s not very tidy and is more a collection of thoughts than a properly detailed analysis, but I ain’t got all day. Again, this is messy but I don’t really have the energy to make it nice and neat.
Looking for something in specific? You might wanna ctrl+f around these titles, because this is very long and rambling.
Part I: The Beginning of Quirks and their Effect on Society Part II: What Makes a Villain Part III: M O N E Y and F A M E Part IV: Brainwashed Part V: Ignoring Those Who Need Help Part VI: Cycle/Conclusion
Part I: The Beginning of Quirks and their Effect on Society
So, we know through the manga that, as quirks first began to evolve and more and more people obtained them, the world was thrown into chaos. People had obtained power, and power is as power does, and it corrupts.
As people began using their quirks for evil deeds that broke the law, law enforcement around the world was essentially powerless. After all, during the birth of the quirk age, quirks were the minority. The powerful minority. Against that, men with tasers, batons, and guns hardly stood a chance.
However, just as the rise of quirks gave birth to people who would use that power for misdeeds, so did it bring life to those who had the inherent desire to protect others. The beginning of the age of vigilantes, which would lead to the age of Pro Heroes.
Obviously, All for One was very relevant during this time, but we’re not here to talk about him. For once. We’re here to talk about society as a whole.
The world order was too chaotic. We are aware of this due to the monologues of certain characters, and I assume we’ll be learning more as more of the former carriers of One for All become present in Deku. In this beginning, it wasn’t so much “heroes” versus “villains”, more than it was law abiding citizens versus law breakers. It’s likely that precedent hadn’t yet been established for “no quirk use”, as there were hardly enough people who could actually enforce such a law.
As more of society began to develop quirks, the Police Force made a decision to not use their quirks to take down law breakers. They moved to a more leadership position, and took a backseat to those who did use their quirks for good. At first, it was a hard decision to allow such things as Pro Heroes to take on law breakers who were too dangerous for someone to take down without a quirk.
But why, after all this time, have the Police and the Pro Heroes remained separate entities? Why have they never combined, and why do they remain so polarized in how they approach situations?
The answer is simple, yet multi-layered. Heroes and Villains ... they’re popular. They attract attention.
Part II: What Makes a Villain
If you assign a person the label “Villain”, you de-humanize them. They are no longer a “person”, per se, but a monster. Evil, in the eyes of most people. It’s easier, then, to accept their fate of being beaten by a Hero, and being carted off to prison.
This is an important distinction to make. If you remove the labels of Hero and Villain. If you remove their Quirks. Do people still react the same way? Do they cheer and adore the hero, as the hero beats the opponent senseless? Of course not. In a battle of man vs man, in the moment, humans don’t react in such a way.
We can understand why an adult who lived a hard life may turn to a life of crime. But, hardly to we look as to why or how they got there.
In this world where quirks have become the norm, but are constantly evolving, we must wonder; how are quirks judged? How are they defined? How are people treated, for the quirk they possess?
We have many examples of outcasts, and they possess a wide variety of quirks from “extremely destructive” to simply “strange, odd, not okay in society”.
Shigaraki and Overhaul are both examples of terrifying, destructive quirks. Is it any wonder that their lives turned out the way they did? The power of death was etched into their very DNA. We know Shigaraki’s backstory and how he became who he is today. It’s implied that Chisaki was abandoned or ran away as well.
Then, you have the more odd quirks that, on the surface don’t seem nefarious, but when explained in context, would make people feel uncomfortable. Toga, who’s quirk is to drink blood and transform into another person. Twice, who can make copies of any person and used his quirk for an evil deed. Nemoto, who can force anyone to tell the truth, and lived a life where he realized everyone was lying to him.
Even Shinsou Hitoshi, desperate to become a hero, was put down for what his quirk DOES. Brainwashing. That’s a “villain’s quirk”. Fellow children said that to him so casually, and behaved as if they were terrified of him!
Eri, with her quirk that made her father disappear from existence itself ... Had she not been rescued from Overhaul, what would have become of her? Forced to believe her entire existence was a curse, told that she does nothing but harm people -- as she grew older and gained control of her power, would anyone honestly think she would have led a life of goodness, considering how she was raised?
How many people labeled Villains are currently in prison, because they were treated like outcasts from the moment they developed a terrifying quirk? Was there anyone there to help them figure their way through this world, considering what they’d been born with? Are there services for people who have trouble controlling their quirks, which are truly destructive? Even with laws in place saying that you can’t use your quirk publicly, just LIVING with that knowledge that you were born ... with a scary quirk ... a villain’s quirk ... How people treat you because of that, how you look, what your quirk can do -- do you ever have any friends? Any real friends, that aren’t just people who are scared of you?
Is it any wonder, that people like this turn out to be “villains”? Society is GROOMING THEM to BE VILLAINS, simply for who and what they are and are born with.
Part III: M O N E Y and F A M E
Throwing oneself into harms way sure is a dangerous move, that most people would never bother doing. How, then, do you entice more people to become heroes and take on the villains that are popping up all around for obvious reasons?
You make your Heroes popular. You make sure they look stylish. They have cool attitudes. You make them popular among the children. After all, getting fellow adults in on the Pro-Hero train is good and all, but much like a pro-athlete, one can likely only do Hero work for a certain span of time before their body is unable to take the strain. Maybe say, ages 18-40?
Besides, with more and more people being born every day with quirks, the number of people who turn to villainous activity will grow, right? Especially if you’re not actively helping people manage their quirks, because hey, they’re not allowed to use them publicly so what does it matter?
Kids. Kids will watch heroes on TV, and see it just like any other super-hero show or cartoon. They’ll buy the merchandise. People will begin to hemorrhage money over these heroes, because they’re flashy. They’re kind. They save lives.
Now, not to say that Heroes are just there for the paycheck -- not at all. Many people become heroes simply because they do love to help people. Some become heroes because they want to stop bad guys. Sure, there are some who do it to maybe someday live an easier life, or because it pays really well and they have family to support. But, I do believe that most people go into the Pro Hero business with good intentions.
THIS, is part of the reason that Pro Heroes have remained separate from law enforcement. They are now a business. A very wealthy business. It’s not just hero agencies that make money off of the Pro Hero business. It’s toy manufacturers. Comic book stores. Prisons. Hospitals. Roots of Pro Hero society reach into nearly every type of business that there is, whether directly or indirectly.
Nobody wants that money to disappear by folding Heroes back into the police force. No, they want MORE heroes. More heroes, and more people for the heroes to fight.
tldr: heroes = $$$, so keep ‘em coming
Part IV: Brainwashed
There are a lot of factors that go into making society as a whole okay with something. It takes a lot of time, for one. It takes powerful, well spoken people. It takes lots of media attention. Before you know it, everyone is eating up the same exact thing quite willingly ... and it spreads to the next generation. And the next. After that happens, its something that is well integrated into society, like a freckle that’s always been on your arm -- its just “always been that way”.
I’ve mentioned several times that its odd for people to be so okay with one person beating another person senseless. Again, we know that its considered acceptable, because of the labels we’ve put on these individuals based on their actions: Heroes and Villains.
What I wonder is: How long have people been okay with this? Do they not realize that, in a way, this is history repeating itself?
We know why people don’t dig deeper into this. Pro Heroes are popular and people love them. The media has hand fed the Hero lifestyle to children for some time now. There are schools, MORE THAN ONE SCHOOL, that teach your child how to become a pro hero.
Think about that. It’s not just some extra-curricular activity, like sports. These are schools, designed to take in freshly graduated MIDDLE-SCHOOLERS who have not finished their regularly schooling education, who still have growing bodies and minds, and ... crafts them into perfect pro-heroes. AND PARENTS ARE OKAY WITH THIS -- SOMETIMES EVEN MORE THAN OKAY WITH IT.
These schools send young teenagers onto the streets under a pro-heroes wing to witness and be a part of fighting crime. Not organized crime, like a ring of bad guys or something, but ... random crime. Disasters. From a young age, they may encounter situations with actual dead people. Their training is dangerous. Their powers can be dangerous. One wrong move, and a student, someone you worked alongside, had lunch with everyday, is just ... gone.
There exists a police force in society. There are already pro-heroes. Why, then, is society okay with multiple schools that are practically breeding child soldiers? They are teaching kids everything about how to kick ass, how to take down these terrifying people, how to fight, how to save lives ...
Why is no one looking into why villains exist in the first place? Are these kids ever taught de-escalation tactics? To talk their opponents down? Not everyone out there is using their quirk to be evil for the sake of being evil. There’s always a reason, a purpose.
Part V: Ignoring Those Who Need Help
Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering.
Hey, Star Wars had some good points!
I’ve discussed before what makes a villain. People who are afraid of what they’re capable of. People who society has turned their back on. People who desperately need help, but there is no one out there willing to give it.
These people will always find each other in the shadows. They begin, at a young age, being terrified of what they are. What they’ve done. What they can do. Maybe they’ve been kicked out of their families. Maybe they’ve killed before, completely on accident.
The average person turns their back on people like this.
These people begin their lives terrified. Constantly being told that their quirks, their past, their family, what ever it is, will make them end up a bad person. Or, maybe they tell them they’re already a bad person. That fears breeds anger and hate. Hate for this society that would rather see them burn, than offer them any help.
A young boy grows up into a man. He had a potentially devastating quirk that he never really got a good hold on, because he was never allowed to practice with it. Everyone is too scared to let him try. Then, one day, something happens -- completely by accident. He causes a scene. A massacre. He hurts people.
Parents are excited to see which of their quirks their baby displays. Instead of being one or the other, or even a fusion of both, the unthinkable occurs. Its a mutation. The toddler hurts a sibling, a parent, a friend. Terrified, the parents abandon the child, for fear of losing their entire family.
A child is told, over and over, that his quirk will never be good for anything other than being evil. This knowledge rests heavy on his shoulders, its repeated to him yearly as he grows. Then, when he acts on what everyone has TOLD HIM FOR YEARS HE WILL DO, they are surprised. As if they hadn’t imprinted the very notion into his mind.
In a way, Overhaul was right about one thing. Hero society is a disease. People look forward to watching Heroes take down Villains and save the day. They don’t think at all about why these people are villains, how they got there, where they came from. They will never admit to potentially being the reason villains exist in the first place.
Part VI: Cycle/Conclusion
Wow, I have rambled a lot. I don’t think I hit every point that I’ve ever thought of for sure. There’s ... a lot of them. And a lot of comparisons I wanted to make to other superhero anime, specifically Tiger and Bunny, which I believe does an excellent job of showing the ups and downs of hero societies.
What I wanted to make clear in all this rambling mess (which, if you read all of it, I am SO SO SORRY), is that the very existence of Pro Heroes and Villains exist solely because of a few factors that exist in a cycle.
Pro Heroes = $$$ -> Schools for more heroes -> ignoring quirk-related-problems -> more villains -> pro heroes beat up villains -> pro heroes =$$$ etc
There is someone, or some organization, that sits above all of this. There has to be. There has to be some more logical explanation as to why this type of Hero v Villain culture has been allowed to exist all of this time, and things have not drifted more back in the direction of police vs lawbreakers. There has to be a reason that its okay for heroes to be so popular. There has to be a reason that children are allowed to be groomed into becoming heroes. There has to be a reason that there isn’t more help out there for people with these types of potentially destructive quirks.
There has to be reasons.
There has to be reasons for how the Hero Commission moves. There has to be reasons for how the police move. There has to be a reason that society is still allowed to go on like this, and that its become culturally acceptable.
If anyone out there can put all my rambling into clearer words and actively wants to, I would love that. Thank you for taking the time to read my mess!
xoxo Wild

Boku No Hero Academia Chapter 276 SPOILERS
(So apparently the chapter came out on Thursday instead of Friday like it usually does. Am I the only one who didn't know this? Was it announced somewhere and my dumbass just missed it?)
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
The reporters have made their grand entrance and are recording everything from the safety of their helicopter.
OH NO ALL MIGHT IS WATCHING WITH ERI AND HE LOOKS LIKE HE'S GONNA HAVE A HEART ATTACK.
(Edit: It would be kinda funny if that's how the former Symbol of Peace went down. Not from villains, but from a shitty heart. Tho considering what his two sons are doing right now he might actually have one.)
Tumblr media
There's that really bad feeling again. Mitsuki looking through what appears to be Katsuki's baby pictures doesn't help either.
Tumblr media
Endeavour isn't dead. That's good, he still needs to be confronted by Dabi.
Shigaraki tells Giganto to kill anyone in sight.
Endeavour's mummy sidekick's name is Kido and his quirk is called Trajectory. He can change the trajectory of any object. Honestly it's a perfect match for Enji's quirk. Kido can redirect his flames. It looks like he has to use his bandages to do it tho.
Anyway, Kido changes Enji's trajectory as he flys by.
So apparently Aizawa did in fact hurt his ankle when that Noumu grabbed him. Manual is using his quirk to keep Aizawa's eyes moisturized so they don't get irritated. He can't afford to blink with Enji and Ryūkyū fighting Shigaraki rn.
Tumblr media
HE DID THAT JUMP WITHOUT USING A QUIRK????? AND WHY THE FUCK IS MIC STILL HOLDING HIM????????!?!?!??
So what Ujiko is saying is that Tomura is constantly on the verge of a mental breakdown because of his physical upgrades? That can either be a good or bad thing depending on how that goes.
Aizawa sees his Erasure not having any effect on Tomura's strength and immediately gets flashbacks to that Noumu from USJ. Tomura then goes Yeet with Enji's body and he goes crashing into the ground. I think Ryūkyū might have gone down with him but I'm not sure.
We're back with Deku and Kacchan. Gran Torino plops them down on the ground and tells them to stay put. Bakugou says Gran should've dropped them closer and Midoriya takes this opportunity to introduce the two of them. Izuku complains that Aizawa-sensei is down there and Torino is like "Of course he is. How else are we supposed to block off Shigaraki's quirk?"
Tumblr media
I thought Midoriya was the one who got him away from people. And idk about that showing results part.
I feel like GT shouldn't have dropped them so close to the tree line since I'm 98% sure that's where Giganto and friends are gonna come from, and Giganto has orders to kill anyone he comes into contact with. Hopefully he doesn't come into contact with any of the students.
Tumblr media
GT is the only one out here with brain cells I swear. "ArE yOu sAyInG wE ShOuLd HiDe?!?" YES DUMBASS THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT HE'S SAYING AND YOUR ASSES BETTER DO IT. Istg these kids have a death wish or something.
I wouldn't be so over confident. That's how people die. I feel like it's gonna start going the heroes way when the backup arrives only for everything to go to shit again once Giganto shows up.
Tumblr media
SEE I TOLD YOU NOT TO BE OVER CONFIDENT! WHERE THE FUCK DID THEY EVEN COME FROM?!?! DIDN'T SHIGGY DESTROY THE ENTIRE LAB?!?!?!? AND IS THAT ONE NOUMU A DOG????
Tumblr media
Shigaraki just does not give a fuck anymore and I am here for it. Shiggy explains that he tried to make it so the decay wouldn't spread to the Noumu capsules but it only worked for some of them. Poor Ryūkyū. Having to take the impact from the fall. She's probably squished rn.
Ujiko explains that the High-ends were woken up by Shiggy's radio waves but that these ones can't think for themself yet because of how green they are, but they still possess the same amount of strength as a regular high-end and will follow Shiggy's orders to the letter.
Ujiko says to call them "Neeeeeeearly High-ends" so I'm gonna shorten that to NHE.
Apparently two NHE are heading for Aizawa and Gran tells the boys to hide as he speeds off to intercept. Horikoshi. Do not test me boy.
Midoriya looks very conflicted about whether or not he should actually go hide since Aizawa is obviously in danger, but I think Aizawa would agree wholeheartedly with Gran's order.
(Edit: Izuku and Katsuki said "Fuck that shit")
Shiggy says they should consider seeing things from his point of view.
Tumblr media
DAMN FUCKING RIGHT YOU DO. STAB THAT BITCH TILL HE STOPS BREATHING. NO ONE WILL FAULT YOU FOR IT.
Tumblr media
HE'S THINKING ABOUT ALL OF THEM!!! EVEN SHINSOU IS THERE IN THE BOTTOM RIGHT!!
I SWEAR IF THAT LIGHTNING IS FROM IZUKU-
Tumblr media
AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHDHEUHRIRBEIRHEJHEIDHEIRHEIHEIEJFJWJDBEIFBDYESTHEBOYSAREHERETOSAVETHEIRDADKDJDJDJDJDJDJDUDNDUDJDJSUDNDJEJDJWJDUWK!!!!!!!!
Gran Torino: If Shigaraki gets OFA we're screwed so go hide.
Izuku and Katsuki: How about we go save Aizawa-sensei instead.
My thing is tho, if they're in Aizawa's line of sight won't their quirks get erased too, or can he pick and choose who's quirk he erases?
I got so many feels from those last two panels. Aizawa is always saving them so of course they're gonna wanna return the favour.
I mean it's like Shouta said, he still needs to see them graduate so he can't die. But Shouta's face when they showed up is priceless. He got that "WHAT THE FUCK ARE MY DUMBASS CHILDREN DOING" face.
I just realised, OFA is probably gonna end up being outed to all the heroes present. That or Izuku is gonna have to explain to Aizawa, Manual, and Rock Lock why Shigaraki keeps referring to his quirk as OFA when he has it registered as "Super-power" I still can't get over how stupid that name is. I can't wait to see how this fight goes down.
Until next time.

Crack Au: The Remedial license Squad are Magical Girls!
Note: this is a crack au treated seriously for your own amusement, but it is still supposed to be silly so no flames.
Created with @mosaicofdreamsanddragons
Once, back before quirks there were five witches who made a pact, to pass on their powers to those who needed it most in their own forms, so that their legacy could go on forever
And they scattered their wands to the wind.
From then on, those that needed them would find the wand and wear the appearance of one of the magical girls, forced to live out their legacy weither they liked it of not.
I unfortunately, the wands had a very different idea of what made someone ‘need them most’
This was how the green wand fell into Late elementary school Bakugo’s hands
It wa originally scoping out Deku, but then realized it wouldn’t be able to stop the rampant bullying he was experiencing, nor could it be much in the way of defense. So instead it picked Bakugo, the worst of the lot with the most dangerous quirk.
For you see, magic and quirks don’t mess well, and by choosing Bakugo, the wand effectively nullifys his quirk, mid attack on Deku
This naturally horrifies Bakugo, who goes to the doctor, to discover there’s nothing wrong with his quirk, its still there, and chocks it up to beginner anxiety or perhaps a fluke? He’s just a kid afterall.
That night, the wand appears, and explains to Bakugo the deal. He gets his quirk back if he agrees to slay all the shadow monsters for the wand
The catch: the more Bakugo is mean to others, the more shadow monster are generated, as they are literally the pain or a soul given form
Bakugo promptly tries to break the wand in pieces to show exactly what he thinks of blackmail.
Doesn’t work, and he gets a magical girl transformation instead, finding himself in a green dress with a completely different face.
Bakugo freaks out, but realizing if his mom comes in and finds him he’ll be mistaken for an intruder, escapes outside
The wand then guides him to meet the rest of the team, who will help him in his task. And warns him he won’t be able to tell them his name. He also shows him how to use his magic, which is fire based. Oh the irony
Purple: a short girl in a purple dress and a pixie cut whose magic is wind based and can fly - who is actually Inasa, chosen after realizing how cruel Endeavour was and being crushed
Yellow: also short, but this time with childish pigtails and a yellow dress that makes her look very young and whose power is earth - Camie, who after being bullied for hitting puberty early wished to look different, and got her answer
Blue: tall girl with long, flowing blue hair in an elaborate braid who looks like a princess and whose power is water based- Shoto. Unlike the others, Shoto is a legacy. His sister had the wand before him and after his mother scarring him and their brother dying, begged the wand to take him when she got too old. It complied with her request. She’s the one who styled his hair
All of the others are way happier with their new lot in life than Bakugo, and also apparently none of them have their quirks on the line.
“We just loose them temporarily when a monster’s nearby” Camie explains with the flip of her hair. “What did u do to get it to remove it completely?”
Bakugo doesn’t feel like explaining, instead deciding to leave these extras and fight the beast himself
Which fails. Because he’s working with magic not his quirk, and he can’t take it alone anymore.
But the rest of the team save his butt, and in the course of it he manages to do well enough that the wand agrees to lift his quirk ban to what the others have, with the warning that if he picks on anyone, he loses it again until the next monster is beaten
This has, mixed results, as Bakugo struggles for the first time in his young life to not be a jerk, and loses it multiple times
To make matters worse, Deku has noticed he’s struggling, and keeps trying to help him, looking up all sorts of theories as to why he’s losing it (including quirk stealers)
Bakugo gets mad, feeling patronized, and lashes out, losing his quirk, and witnessing for the first time one of the giant shadow beasts come out of him.
Bakugo drags Deku away (since he touched Deku, deku can temporarily see it) and then the wand appears and tells Bakugo that the shadow monsters come from hurting human souls, the bigger yhe more pain the person was in, and didn’t he tell him to leave Deku alone? (Deku can’t hear the wand)
Bakugo curses, pushed Deku aside, grabs wand and transforms, and tries to fight the beast that’s even bigger than last time. Only to run into the problem of Deku, who doesn’t want him to kill it because he thinks it “ate Kacchan” (he didn’t see the transformation) and wants to save him.
Instead of explaining, Bakugo knocks him aside again, tells him he doesn’t care, and attacks, while the rest of the team show up to help and scold Bakugo for getting in over their (they don’t know anyone’s gender so call each other their) head, again.
The monster is vanquished, but Deku is furious, yelling at them for letting Bakugo die instead of trying to save him. None of the others know who Bakugo is, so they are equally perplexed. Bakugo discovers he can be mean(ish) to Deku in this form, tells him to beat it. To which the rest of the team jump on him for, especially Shoto, who says “he’s lost someone he cares about, have a heart”
Then real heroes show up and all four promptly remember vigilantism is illegal and scram. Bakugo shows up dressed normal, to Deku’s intense relief, but the damage has been done, and Deku tells the heroes the new vigilantees were cruel and left his friend to die.
So now the team has the heroes against them too
Bakugo scolds Deku for saying that, to which Deku looks him right in the eye and goes. “Those people weren’t heroes Kacchan. Heroes don’t behave like that.”
Bakugo wants to protest, but the wand reminds him that Deku doesn’t know its him, and does he really want to upset the boy who can summon giant shadow monsters at the slightest provocation?
Its the first time Bakugo gets a look at what Deku’s honest scorn looks like
Thus begins the teams greatest rival, in the form of one hero nerd with to much time on his hands, determined to avenge Kacchan, stop the dangerous hero pretenders, and discover the team’s secrets
He even comes to the almost correct conclusion that green is using Bakugo’s quirk to fuel their power
Eventually the team has to try and show him it was a missunderstanding, and the others win him over slowly. He doesn’t fully trust Bakugo’s alter ego though, to his great annoyance.
But the gang have bigger problems, including the fifth magical girl, a corrupted one who held on to long to their wand and started to use the safety of the wand to help commit small crimes
I’m not sure who it is, but it might be one of the league of villians, either Shigaraki, dabi, or Twice. Or it’s someone completely new.
Whoever they are, they’ve got the last wand and a pink dress, with power over peoples hearts they use to make them do things and give them things (and was supposed to go to their next leader)
The team do get the rogue away from their wand eventually, but it takes a while.
It then passes to a very small girl named Eri, but none of them know that as she doesn’t join them much, and when she inherts it they’re already graduating middle school and forced to give it up
This is very tough on the team, purple (Inasa) hugs them all and tells them he’ll miss them all. Blue (shoto) breaks down crying and confesses he’s never had friends before them. Yellow (Camie) says they’ll always be connected. Even Bakugo realizes he’ll miss them, if only just a little. Its him who tells them he’s going to be a hero at UA, so they can watch him from there.
They reveal their all going to be heroes too, blue in UA and the others In shiketsu. Yellow (Camie) says its a sign they’ll see each other again. Bakugo says he’ll crush them all.
When they are reunited, its not until after the revisional liscense that they actually figure out who each other are, since working together is so familiar
But mainly because some punk kid insulted magical girls as hasbeens and Bakugo got so offended the others all collectively went “yup, that’s green” and then looked at each other in shock
Shoto is super disappointed he didn’t realize that Deku’s Kacchan was Green this whole time! His money had been on Monoma (for all his angry declarations) or Shinsou (for picking a fight with the most dangerous players first)
Inasa is super hurt that Blue is Shoto, but more forgiving of their last interactions
And Camie is super stoked that Purple is Inasa, because its nice to know she made the same friend twice.
She makes everyone give her their numbers and creates a group chat
Shoto invites Deku to the chat, and Bakugo blocks them (he gets added back anyways)

BNHA characters as Zodiacs
BNHA characters as zodiac signs (Headcannon) featuring: Midoriya,Bakugou,Todoroki,Tsuyu,Mina,Kirishima,Kaminari,Shinso,Dabi, and Chisaki!
A/N: I know the characters already have zodiac signs but this is just based on their personalities, not their actual birthdays 😁
Midoriya
Tumblr media
I personally see him as a Pisces ♓👌🏻
As soon as I read the description of pisces I was like "YES! There he go"
Reasons why I think he fit the description:
Midoriya is DEFINITELY emotional.
He's always chasing his dream of becoming a hero, determined to attain his goal 😌
SENSITIVE BOY HOURS.
He cried the first time he saw Eri smile, that’s def some Pisces shit 😩
HE IS BABIE👶
Bakugou
Tumblr media
Another one where I read the description and INSTANTLY thought of this character...
Bakugou is an Aries ♈🧨
Stubborn asf, literally wont even let someone else help him if his life is in ACTUAL danger 😤
Defensive...
C'mon I mean he literally gets mad abt everythingggg
Random person "Bakugou did you get a haircut?"
Him: "WHAT DO YOU CARE, YOU EXTRA???"
No one:
Bakugou: 😤🖕
Literally 1000% Aries energy
Todoroki
Tumblr media
The way he wanted his room to be really particular tipped me off to what Shouto would be.
Todoroki is a Taurus ♉✌
Calm asf, literally only ever has a facial expression when he's fighting 🤷🏻‍♂️
Practical, almost too practical tbh
How he organized his room(and literally put in new flooring to make it aesthetically pleasing), and when everyone was like "How tf did you do that??"🤨
And Shouto was just like: 😐 "I worked hard.."
That's some Taurus shit
They are all about the
Aesthetic 😌 💕
Tsuyu
Tumblr media
Frog queen! 😩
Miss Tsu gives me Libra energy ♎🐸
Balanced af
Literally knows exactly what to do all the time
Reasonable 😌
Sis is smart.
Very good at coming up with plans to deal with the situations that she's in!
Sometimes she forgets to watch how she talks to people because she's more analytical than emotional 🤷🏻‍♂️
Mina
Tumblr media
Mina gives me the same energy that my zodiac is supposed to have (I have more aquarius energy for some reason 🤔)
Mina is a gemini ♊🦄
Some reasons why I think this:
This bitch can break dance... like she can spin on her head and everything!😳
So yeah, def energenic...
Talented, again... she can literally spin on her head-
The life of the party!🥳
She's literally so much fun to be around and just wants everyone to have fun 🥺
Kirishima
Tumblr media
This one was kinda hard for me ngl 😳
He do be kinda a Leo doe 😌♌
RaDiAnT
He is the human version of the sun, like legitimately the happiest, nicest boi.
Enthusiastic!
"WOW, THAT WAS SO MANLY!"
He is literally excited about everything 🤗
At first I thought maybe he was a Cancer, but then I saw the description for Leo and I rlly said: 👁👄👁
Since Leo's planet is the sun I knew that this HAD to be him 🌞
And he protects women from that stinky grape boy, which is some Leo type shit fs 💕
Kaminari
Tumblr media
I was going to do Sero's zodiac too, but I think him and Kaminari are too similar in personality tbh
Spicy Sag 😏♐
Why do I think he's a Sagittarius, you may be asking yourself:
Um, he's literally a crackhead ☝️😩
Funny asf
He could make anyone laugh tbh
HIGH ENERGY!
He is the complete opposite of Todoroki in that he's loud, funny, and very, VeRy animated.
Never boring 🤷🏻‍♂️
Shinso
Tumblr media
This one was fucking INFURIATING
It was so hard, I was torn between Libra and Virgo so I'm probably wrong here but..😩
I think Shinso is a Virgo ♍🤔
CEO of being logical
The thing with Shinso is that even though he's an introvert he's really good with people, and can easily manipulate them when needbe.
Quiet 🤫
You won't hear shit from him unless he needs you for something or actually likes you so..
Dominant
He is super intimidating, and seems to be in control when he wants to be 😅
Agressive? Kinda... I guess just when he needs to be?
It's hard to tell with him since we really dont know that much abt him 🧐
Dabi
Tumblr media
I didnt know shit about zodiac signs before I started looking into it for this headcannon but I KNEW exactly what Dabi was before I even started 😩
Dabi is the most Scorpio out of all Scorpios ♏🦂
This man is mysterious, first of all 🤫
We dont even know how old he is..
Passionate
He will achieve his goal no matter what, but he's not stupid about it either!
Ice cold 🥶
He truly does not gaf
Violent (duh)
Likes to tease~
The first thing he did when he met Shigaraki was call him ugly 😩
Resourceful
He made the most out of Twice's quirk and succeeded in his goal as the leader on that mission (I'm not being specific because I dont want to spoil it for u✌)
(Sorry this one was so long but I have the most evidence for it)
Chisaki
Tumblr media
CEO of making headcannons difficult for me
Okay so this one is weird because I think he is the evil version of this zodiac, but I see myself in this zodiac sometimes even tho I'm pretty nice to other ppl usually
I think he's an Aquarius ♒🙈
Aloof.
He looks like doesn't care about anything or anyone and that's because for the most part he doesn't 🤷🏻‍♂️
A good listener
He has to be in order for his negotiations to work out so...
Temperamental
As soon as Shigarakis team started disagreeing with him he said 🖐🤬
Independent
He doesn't really NEED anyone, he thinks that everyone needs him instead sis 😌
Sorry I didnt get every sign but Cancer was difficult 😩😩 No one is that chill on the show

BNHA Fics I really like
Btw, the ones with a ⭐ are my favorites
journey to the past
https://archiveofourown.org/works/15046934
Izuku is five years old the first time he's saved by heroes. He's an instant fan of the woman in pink with her cheerful smile and the man with his ice powers and fine-boned features, even if they both refuse to tell him their names.
For most of his life, Izuku has been the centre of villain attacks, but he has never been injured. Every time, he's saved by bright, unknown heroes—heroes who smile at Izuku, and ruffle his hair or ply him with hugs, and seem mesmerised by how small he is.
Heroes that the rest of the world doesn't believe exists.
Opinion: Honestly, it’s really pure and heartwarming with a side of angst. Seeing a young Izuku fanboy is adorable and from what I remember it's pretty well written. I honestly really love this one.
Lies in the guise of truth
https://archiveofourown.org/works/15124007/chapters/35067359
All Might is the world's #1 hero, the symbol of peace, the pillar that the world knows they can stand on. He dominates every room he's in, from press conferences to his Hero Agency.
It's pretty easy for everyone to overlook Yagi Toshinori, All Might's 'quirkless secretary'. But he's still there.
Opinion: I really love Dadmight. Like I really love Dadmight so I may be a bit bias. It diverts a bit from canon, but I was alright with that. It’s wholesome, cute, and Toshi deserves some love
I Would Understand  ⭐
https://archiveofourown.org/works/12729852
Shinsou Hitoshi had a bit of a problem, and that problem was that he’d gotten attached to Aizawa Shouta. And somewhere along the line had started seeing him as a parental figure, a replacement for all the foster home parents who’d passed him along and never quite done their job.
A kid who's been in foster care his entire life spends a normal, average day after training with the teacher who seems to care a little too much.
Opinion: I have found myself revisiting this fic thrice already lol. Honestly, the first chapter is my favorite and well written--as are the other chapters. I love the melodic and somber atmosphere of some of the scenes and it really feels so sweet but hits me in the feels. The EraserMic in here is beautiful and great Dadzawa.
Ghosts of Flowers
https://archiveofourown.org/works/19851709
Shigaraki gets the chance to carefully sift through the pieces of his recovered memories and tries to hold them close.
There is something that bothers him a bit though: Hana seems—oddly familiar.
It’s not until he’s reviewing the U.A. training exercise footage their mole got them that he realizes it.
The Yaoyorozu heiress, with her long, dark hair, her elegant eyes, and her confident smile, she looks just like—
But she can’t be Hana.
Opinion: I love this one a whole lot. The concept is interesting and executed really well. I really love the characterization of the characters and you get some great internal dialogue and inside thoughts. While I do think the story goes a bit fast, I really enjoyed and understand there’s a lot to tell in ten chapters.
Not a Spare Part
https://archiveofourown.org/works/18974530/chapters/45052543
In one universe, Tony Stark closed his eyes to a world where Superheroes were a rarity.
In another universe, Tony Stark opens his eyes to a world where Superheroes are the norm.
(An AU where after the events of Endgame, Tony Stark finds himself inhabiting the body of a young quirkless boy named Midoriya Izuku and figures out that the world could use... another Iron Man)
------- Basically, Izuku becomes Iron Man.
Opinion: I really like this fic. Tony is giving Izuku the confidence he needs and makes some new friends and builds old ones.
Reconfigure  ⭐
https://archiveofourown.org/works/16893972
It's been years since the League of Villains was disbanded. Out on parole and stuck in therapy, Tomura Shigaraki is coasting through life. While he's no longer a villain, he's not exactly a productive member of society either. When an awkward past fling shows up, he's met with a shock: a 3-month-old baby girl. Turns out motherhood is hard when you're a serial killer. Suddenly saddled with the responsibility of a child, Shigaraki has a choice: keep his life the boring way it is or become a father for his kid he didn't know he had.
He knows nothing about being a good parent (and neither does the recently paroled Dabi/Touya Todoroki), but help comes in the most surprising of forms, specifically pro hero Uravity. All Ochako Uraraka wants to do is be a hero, so when she stumbles across the former villain with a baby, she can't help but worry. With Shigaraki clueless, Uraraka decides to do her best to help. What starts out as a chance meeting between two old enemies turns into something else as they find themselves in a strange predicament and more people get involved. They say it takes a village to raise a child. Sometimes, it's a handful of mostly reformed villains and the heroes they tried to kill when they were teens.
Opinion: Alright, before you dismiss this one, hear me out:  Tomura/Ochako really works in this fic. This fic has become one of my favorites because of how its written, characterization, and Tomura’s child--because I’m a sucker for wholesome parent and child content. I honestly really love this fic and had a lot of emotions throughout.
Something Still Remains  ⭐
https://archiveofourown.org/works/22737019
“Are you Shouta?” the shadow-man asks, and his tone is polite but there’s something verging on almost desperate behind it.
Shouta considers. He’s unarmed, facing an unknown person who knows his home address and his first name, he hasn’t slept in thirty-six hours, and he’s wearing kitten-patterned pajama pants. Despite all of that, he’s still confident in his ability to handle himself in a fight, but nothing about this situation is making sense, and it’s sending him slightly off-kilter.
Starting with how the shadow man knows his name.
“Maybe,” he says, after his silence has dragged on a beat too long. “Who’s asking.”
Opinion: It’s a one-shot, but a heckin good one at that. The tone of this fic is so gentle and quiet. Also, Kurogiri characterization is great. I’m absolutely craving more.
How to kidnap an underground hero and an UA General Studies student- A guide by Present Mic
https://archiveofourown.org/works/23068645/chapters/55178836
Hizashi knew what the villains were planning, he was one of them after all. But they wouldn’t hurt what was his and the plan was rather simple. Really.
Step 1: Convince them that it is just going to be a family holiday and that they desperately need a bit of a break
Step 2: Get Shinsou to take quirk suppressants, make him believe it’s a good thing and that it would help him, tell him that they would wear off on their own, not that they do
Step 3: Put the pills into tea, not coffee, the latter could cause health problems
Opinion: I have so many feelings about this. Like way too many. It’s not finished, but I need more. Erasermic, Shinsou, and Eri, and literally everything I love
it's a chatfic, but with villains
https://archiveofourown.org/works/11777448/chapters/26554635
DABnation added NotDeadpool, Ketchup, Magic Mike, BIG MEATY, MoonMoon, FidgetSpinnerPro, MAGNIFICENT, and Loan Snake to the group.
Stab Lick Delicious:Why is Kurogiri crying DABnation: i think DABnation: he realized he made a mistake
Opinion: It’s been a while since I’ve read and it’s unfinished, but I remember having a really fun time reading this and having quite a few laughs.
Karma in Retrograde
https://archiveofourown.org/works/14924609/chapters/34574417
When Dabi is struck by a de-aging quirk that regresses him to the most influential part of his life, he finds himself turned back into a sixteen-year-old U.A. General Studies student with lots of self-esteem issues, parent problems, a destructive quirk that he can't manage, and no memory of the years that he's lost - not to mention the fact that his little brother is now the same age as him and one of the top students in the U.A. hero course. In U.A.'s attempt to make up for what they missed and help the Dabi of the past, present, and future, he is placed with the only students that know him and have yet to find out what truly makes the difference between a hero and a villain. There, they must face the question of whether he can change or his destiny is already set in stone.
Opinion: I really like this fic. I really love young Dabi. It’s been a while since I’ve read, but I really love this one.
komorebi  ⭐
https://archiveofourown.org/works/16717599/chapters/39209133
The change can't be immediate, or it’ll seem forced. It has to take time, in order to be realistic. He knows that.
He’ll need to seem like a villain. But he’ll be a hero.
And for that, Hitoshi thinks he’d do just about anything.
Or,
Someone's selling UA's secrets, and Shinsou Hitoshi definitely doesn't have anything to prove.
Opinion: If you haven’t noticed, I really like Dadzawa. This one is super interesting, written really good, and I love the characterization of Shinsou. Like some chapters had me rioting I thought they were so good. I love the alternating moods ins scenes and I feel that I can really feel the atmosphere--if that makes sense lol.
Mendacium  ⭐
https://archiveofourown.org/works/21297146/chapters/50713442
"Why are you doing this?" Shouta couldn't help but ask. Really, this kid couldn't be much older than his class, and he was already out his risking his life to fight... and was good at it. That was the worst part of all, that a child would act like an experienced soldier in the face of danger. "If you stop now, I won't report you. You can just go on home to your family, and maybe try to be a hero-"
A laugh cut him off, but it was more sad than condescending. "Mr. Trash Bag, I'm doing all I can to get home. But like hell I'll be a hero. I've been used by the government too much." A slight European accent colored his words, and his Japanese was a little hesitant, but the determination was clear. "I have to admit, though, your quirk is really awesome. The ability to stop others' energies... remarkable."
The boy tensed, and Shouta activated his quirk on reflex.
"Too bad it doesn't work on me, then. Can't erase what you don't have, after all!"
OR: Edward didn't want to help Truth. He didn't want to go to a different world to defeat yet another Father. He didn't want to become a vigilante there.
He also wanted his brother back. The choice was obvious, even if Truth is a massive asshole.
Opinion: 10/10. Superb. Love our short funky blond alchemist. There’s ling chapters, great Edward Elric, and it had me rolling a few times with laughter. I thoroughly love this fic.
Demons of the Past  ⭐
https://archiveofourown.org/works/17642501/chapters/41601551
For Enji Todoroki, hero name Endeavor, reconciling with the past is easier said than done. Even more so when a dead son comes back to haunt him.
Opinion: I had this before BUT HEAR ME OUT! This fic is absolutely amazing. I was blown away with the characterization of Enji and I know so many people hate him-- I included--but I think his perspective is interesting. The high emotional scenes really had me feeling. Honestly, give this fic a try and you’ll see what I mean.
Black Cat Cafe  ⭐ ⭐ ⭐
https://archiveofourown.org/works/15442725/chapters/35844969
Aizawa Shota was a man tired of life, bitter and jaded from the endless horrors of the world. Six years ago, he disappeared, his existence erased.
Redeye is a stoic man with a mysterious past, who runs a tight shop, cares for his young ward with his whole heart, and makes a flawless cup of coffee.
He also has an unabashed fondness for stray cats.
(Otherwise known as a bitter Aizawa makes café Switzerland, adopts twenty hero-in-training children, some villains, and Shinsou, and then kicks All for One’s ass into next week. And maybe falls in love.)
Opinion: This is the one bois. I think this is my favorite bnha fic. The concept, the characterization, the PINING. I am absolutely in the with this story and the author.

Mob never aimed to be a hero, despite being an apprentice to one. He only wanted to make sure his quirk never hurt anyone ever again. However, an incident that occurs in his third year of middle school spurs him into action despite his wishes. Mob enters into UA academy, the top heroics school in all of Japan, and winds up with several new friends and much more trouble than he bargained for.
Opinion: It hasn’t been updated for a while, but seeing my two favorite cinnamon rolls together melts my heart. Mob is in the hero course but has the moral dilemma of fighting, and honestly, it is so interesting to see how it’s handled.
_________
Well, I hope you enjoyed the list. I really tried not to star everything (I like them all!). I’m probably going to make more for different fandoms and more in-depth tbh. I had a lot of fun doing this! If anyone has any fic recommendations for, please don’t feel shy to send me some! I love talking about writing!

Right now, people are speculating if tomura has lost his humanity which includes his attachment to the league now that he was awakened with his new quirk as a ‘transcendent being’. I wonder how he will interact with his team when he returns? Will he question how the heroes managed to get the jump on them? How will he react to twice’s death? To Dabi letting in a hero spy into their lair and causing this raid and twice’s death? Is the tomura we have seen grow disappeared or is he still the same?
Tumblr media
SHIGARAKI TOMURA - A VERY HUMAN VILLAIN
People may question if Shigaraki Tomura has lost his humanity since acquiring AFO’s power, however I would like to point out that it’s a running theme in the manga for characters to frequently question the humanity of Shigaraki and see him as something less than human, or a force that only exists for evil and destruction.
However, despite the fact that the heroes and Shigaraki’s enemies insist that Shigaraki has lost his humanity, the story shows the opposite. As much as Shigaraki has changed over the course of the story, he has also stayed the same.
Shigaraki started out as a kid who wanted to be a hero who saved others, and specifically a kid who would go out of his way to play with the bullied kids. Everyone knows this by now, I would say however growing up in that household shaped Shigaraki to have core values that don’t really change no matter how much he changes as a person.
Tumblr media
Number one, the most important thing to Shigaraki is freedom. In a childish way he sees it as the freedom to do whatever he wants, because that is how All For One influenced him.
Tumblr media
All for One specifically told Shigaraki that being born with the power to destroy means that he should use it without restraint, and never try to hold himself back because in doing so he’ll only hurt himself. AFO tried to influence him to be an unstable manchild because that would make him more dangerous and fearsome to the general public.
However, Shigaraki’s destruction is always a response. He always destroys for a reason no matter how much he insists his destruction is completely random. One of the key themes of My Hero Academia is that in times of crisis you will remember your origin. Shigaraki’s origin is a household that oppressed him to the extent that he wasn’t allowed to become a hero. All he wanted was someone in that household to agree with him rather than deny him. He wanted people to stop telling him he was wrong.
Shigaraki values freedom, specifically freedom from oppression. Oppression that specifically denies the needs of an individual just because they disrupt society. For example, the opppression that had Himiko’s parents turn abusive on her calling her a demon child because she was born with a strange quirk.
Tumblr media
In that way Shigaraki fights for a kind of true liberation, different from what the liberation force fights for. The Meta Liberation Army while wanting to overturn society also repeated several of society’s oppressive attitude, juding people’s worth based entirely on the strength of their quirk whereas Shigaraki is willing to accept people like Compress, and Spinner who do not have super powerful combat efficient quirks and value them just as much as all the other members from his team.
Tumblr media
Shigaraki also knows the feelings of someone who has not been saved. He’s reflected on this several times, even as early back as his conversation with Deku. He knows that the way the current society functions, it ignores the plights of victims like him that are either too inconvenient to save.
It’s what Shigaraki says to Deku word for word: “I could hurt you right now and not a single person would come save you. They’ll all walk by and pretend it’s none of their business, because they all think a hero is going to come save them.”
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Shigaraki is willing to give people like Twice a chance, even though he was insane and his quirk no longer worked as well as it once did. Not only that, but when people make mistakes Shigaraki never throws them away. Giran is captured and ratted them out, and Shigaraki went to go save them. Twice makes a mistake and because of that Magne is killed, but rather than get angry at Twice, Shigaraki simply asks Twice to do his best to make up for his mistake, and that he’ll be doing his best alongside him.
Shigaraki understands the feelings of: “If only somebody had saved me” better than anyone else in the manga. This is something that even the kids don’t question. The kids in their complete and unwavering faith in the hero system can’t even respond to questions like “Who should you really be saving?”
Tumblr media
Shigaraki also goes out of his way to save people even after they’ve made mistakes, or betrayed the league. Giran ratted on them and got nearly every member killed, and yet not only did Shigaraki walk right into a trap to save him, he also took special care to make sure he was alive, and rescued safely when he was in the middle of getting pounded.
Tumblr media
The final is also somewhat of a paradox. Shigaraki has been manipulated to think that he hated his family, and  wanted to kill everyone.
Tumblr media
However, all of Shigaraki’s actions show the opposite. Not only does Shigaraki feel guilt for killing his family several years after the fact. Not only did he intentionally hold back his quirk at first because he was afraid of killing again. The words of his family stayed with him. Shigaraki only ever remembers his family in a mostly positive light.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
In his heart, Shigaraki holds himself accountable for what he did to his family even though it was an accident. At the same time, it’s revealed to us in his dream sequence that he already forgives his family for what transpired today, he remembers his grandparents being kind to him, he doesn’t resent his mom for just watching what his family did to him and even reassures her, he tells his sister he doesn’t care that she tattled on him anymore.
Tumblr media
His family is someone he can never forget in both senses of the word. He doesn’t forget the times his family household was kind to him, the genuine love his mother, grandparents, and sister all showed to him, and he hasn’t really stopped mourning them ever for a single moment. He even still keeps Nana’s hand, the last hand that wasn’t broken and wears it after his so called “liberation” from his past memories of them. Yet, at the same time he doesn’t allow his family to deny who he is.
Tumblr media
Shigaraki is someone who has been influenced by people all of ihs life, his abusive father, AFO, and then all of AFO’s constituents and the other villains he’s fought against so far. However, at the same time Shigaraki has remained the same kid throughout all of this. Always Shimura Tenko. Always the kid who wanted to play with the kids who got bullied. Always the kid resentful he didn’t get saved.
2. Shigaraki is better than what created him
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Eri is referred to as a cursed inhuman existence born only to destroy, simply because of the quirk she was born with, completely neglecting who Eri is as a person. Deku however says that just by slightly changing your perspective, you can see how kind and gentle Eri is.
Shigaraki is a character much like this. The people around him, mostly heroes always insist that he’s inhuman and again and again that he can only want destruction because of his quirk. Yet, the people closest to Shigaraki know how kind, and gentle he can be.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So we have characters like All Might, Mr. Completely Ignores Endeavor’s abuse of his own family, constantly saying that someone like Shigaraki can’t possibly have a cause for all of his destruction. Ignoring what Shigaraki says when he tells them that heroes can be violent too just like villains, their violence is just categorized differently.
Tumblr media
Shigaraki is continually told he has no reason for wanting to destroy things, that there could be no possible motivation behind his actions. This is something that even AFO himself said, that Shigaraki simply lusted for destruction because he was born that way.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Characters insist again, that Shigaraki isn’t capable of creating anything, or achieving anything because he can only destroy. This is an identity that’s forced on him by his environment ut it’s not who he is at the center of his being. Even when he’s getting the tar beaten out of him by Re-Destro what he thinks is not that he wants to destroy, but rather that he wanted his family to tell him it was okay for him to be a hero.
Tumblr media
So we reach the most recent chapter with someone once again asserting that Shigaraki cannot possibly want anything other than to hurt the people around him, and destroy what he can.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Even ENDEAVOR (lol) of all people accuses Shigaraki of not fighting for the right ideals. Yet, Shigaraki has always shown to be fighting for something.
Tumblr media
People insist that Shigaraki was just born that way, that he just wants to destroy. Yet, there are very specific environmental factors that shaped him into who he is. Shigaraki who apparently has no reasons for doing the things he does, has the longest backstory in the series (four origin chapters in total if you count Shigaraki Tomura: Distortion). Shigaraki’s line against Endeavor also implies that Shigaraki has been fighting for the same thing from the start. That he’s always had a cause, something to fight for (or maybe even just fight against) and that he simply believed what other people constantly told him.
So, no clearly the All For One quirk being given to Shigaraki has not changed who he is as a person at all. Shigaraki’s thoughts always rest with his friends and his family.  Shigaraki’s first literal action upon waking up is to call Machia to his side, and protect the league. Shigaraki’s actions also saved Himiko, because if Machia had not picked her up she likely would have gone on a suicide mission.
Tumblr media
So, there is one last point I want to make: The reason the plan is going so wrong right now is precisely because Shigaraki is someone who chooses again and again to put his trust in others. First, it went wrong because not only did he allow Dabi free reign to invite whoever he wanted to the league, but he also trusted Twice with his location.
Tumblr media
Shigaraki won’t throw Dabi out of the league for saying that he’s only here to use the league for his own benefit, because Shigaraki has always known this about Dabi and lets him work with the league anyway. Shigaraki is someone who puts his allies before themselves and gives them the freedom to be who they want to be.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Shigaraki has said mutliple times the league can do whatever they want. He’s not really selfishly minded or motivated like AFO is. If anything, Shigaraki is much more likely to sacrifice himself, or put the group’s needs first. The Shigaraki that we’ve seen right now is the same progression of the Shigaraki we’ve always known: he fights on the front lines to draw the heroes away from his friends, he fights himself instead of needlessly risking his own allies, he needs his allies by his side.
The raid happened because of Shigaraki’s trusting nature twice. Not only because he allowed Dabi to invite Hawks to the league, but also Kurogiri’s capture and betrayal someone Shigaraki was genuinely close to and listened to for counsel led to his location at the hospital being ratted out to both Eraserhead and Mic. So it’s not Shigaraki not trusting others that led to the Hospital Raid, but rather it’s because Shigaraki chose to trust others that this is all happening.
YET, when this happened last time with Overhaul Shigaraki didn’t stop trusting others. He didn’t throw Twice out. His choice back then was to take responsibility and trust Twice even more to fix the mistake he made. Which will likely be his response again.
Tumblr media
Shigaraki also fights against anyone who tries to control or oppress him the same way his father did once. When AFO tries to physically control his own body, he frees himself of the vestiges.
Shigaraki won’t lose his trust in other people, and won’t lose his close relationship with the league, because Shigaraki has already sustained this kind of loss before. Over and over again. He loses most of the Nomus, he loses Magne, he loses AFO. Yet, at those times when he loses these things Shigaraki’s response is always the same.
Shigaraki is struggling to be better that the environment that created him. Shigaraki’s arc is not one of him losing his humanity, but rather Shigaraki keeping his humanity in the face of constant losses.
Tumblr media
His environment is really truly something that should have robbed him of his humanity. There are people like AFO who are out there to make him into a puppet, to rob him of all agency, and identity. Yet, Shigaraki always fights back against those trying to control him and tell him no.
Shigaraki won’t turn on the league, because his connections with the league are what make him human. It’s his connections with others he makes over and over again in the face of his extremely oppressive environment, first with Kurogiri, then with the league that allows him to stay the same at the core of who he is.
While Shigaraki is constantly dehumanized by both the hero system and the villains he fights against, he’s actually one of the most human characters in the whole series. Not only is he very sympathetic and understandable where exactly he is coming from, but he’s also always, always, always, always, struggling against a set of very human flaws.

LoV adopts Eri
When the heroes were fighting against Overhaul, somehow Toga and Twice take Eri out of the fight and call the rest of the League so they can help them escape.
Overhaul somehow tracks Eri and the League fight him, knocking him out and saving Eri
They take Eri to their hideout. She views them as her heroes. When she said she is cursed and they are in danger for helping her, the League just shrugs. Kid, we re all cursed. Welcome to the club
(Compress, Spinner, Dabi and Shigaraki takes care of Overhaul exactly like in canon, but also flexing that they had Eri)
There is no need to hurt Eri to make the bullets, Twice can clone her! But not now yet because they dont have idea how to transform human cells into bullets....they should have researched that before finishing overhaul...
Eri reminds Shigaraki of something, but he cant tell what
Obviously, the LoV are not the ideal babysitters and also they arent the perfecto enviroment for Eri to heal from her trauma. But they help her the only way they know. She is an outcast? So are we.
Remember that at this point the League is broke af. And they have to hide extra hard because the heroes and police think that Eri is in danger and are looking for her every fucking where
Since half of the League had horrible childhoods, they try to take care of her. If there is something to eat, she eats first. No matter what, she has to sleep!
Toga takes her to a backyard and lets Eri chose the clothes she like from the laundry rope
She also cuts her hair cuz she can
Also makes it harder to recognize her
Twice is her playmate, since he is like a child
Dabi is the overprotective one. But lowkey. His life was also always conditioned by his quirk
Compress thinks he knows how take care of a child. He doesnt
Toga has a lil sister!!!!!
Spinner has his doubts about having Eri with them because is super risky!! And also they cant make the bullets yet, so why they are taking the risk?
But he ends up super attached to her.
Shigaraki doesnt know shit about kids. At some point he even asked what do kids eat?Like...normal food? Ooor...? He treats her as another member of the LoV but somehow she ends up adopting him as her big bro

BNHA Manga Chapter 260  Theories
In the beginning of the theory , I’m going to be discussing about the doctor and his supposed past and then I’m going to discussing about how the future is going to be affected with the information we got with this chapter .
The doctor under a fake name , started to develop his reputation as a “ quirkless “ person  . For a “ quirkless “ person learning about quirks and making “ medical discoveries “ was a huge deal . He had set up orphanages and nursing homes nationwide . In my theory about why All for One was not Deku’s dad , I was very close to this very speculation . By setting up “ orphanages “ , they basically began being his place for test subjects and their quirks . Since , they were homeless people , he could easily cover up their disappearances as the chairman . Similarly , the people in nursing homes were also easy to cover up as he could say they had died  “ a natural death “ .
Another thing I noticed was how the doctor portrays himself as a genuinely kindhearted person . His staff members were defending him from the heroes as they genuinely believed there was nothing going wrong . All for One is known for his emotional manipulation and I believe the doctor is doing the same . After all who would suspect a quirkless person doing so much for the society would be the right hand man of All for One ?
. “ People’s lives , hard work , and progress are all in your hands . “ Will you grasp and destroy them ? Or simply toy with them as you please ?
This is one of the lines said by All for One to Shigaraki .
Since his quirk would be “ Super Regeneration “, a rare quirk which allowed him to live longer . He would have realized the great potential he had by doing research for years and investigating how his quirk came to be and might have gotten interested in studying about quirks and how they can be modified . At one point , he might be trying to achieve the highest difficulty and rare quirk of transferring quirks and receiving quirks. By his extensive digging , or through All for One’s curiosity of finding a person who had a rare quirk , they might have come into a compromise ; All for One would fund the doctor’s research and help him acquire more hospitals and private clinics and in return the doctor had to work under him . Soon , the doctor might have realized what happens to people who are unable to handle a quirk and would have come up with an idea that he could turn this into his advantage . He saw quirks as things he gain and play with . Mixing them together to form various quirks and mindless puppets that follow his orders.
To create superior Nomus , he must have come to the point where he creates an artificial regeneration quirk and puts it in all his Nomus , which makes them a more dangerous . I’m certain at this point that he might have done the same to Shigaraki .
In my chapter 235 theory , I had theorized about how Nana’s husband’s death was staged by All for One . Maybe the doctor had a hand in killing him and All for One would have used her husband’s death and taunt her , similar to how he revealed that Nana’s grandson was Shigaraki .
DNA plays a very important role in this series . In the beginning we see that All Might said that the only way he could transfer quirks was for Midoriya to take any form of his DNA . Further on , we see about how Eri’s blood and cells were used to create bullets that erase people’s quirks by rewinding them to the point where they were quirkless . This is how would have modified the Nomus by modifying their DNA with other DNAs .He created and replicated multiple quirks and that’s what we see towards the end of the chapter in the lab ; multiple small samples of various quirks .
This also leads me to believe maybe the doctor had actually taken Izuku’s original quirk because it was useful and made him essentially quirkless . It’s not certain and maybe Deku was really born quirkless , but it is certainly possible .
Maybe the doctor would reveal that he had wanted to take Bakugou’s quirk as well but couldn’t .
Miruko is a hero who mostly works independently as we had learnt from the Team Up Mission Manga , so it was a good choice for her to use her quirk to go down to the place quickly where the Nomus were sighted in the picture when the rest of the heroes were handling the doctor . We can see the sheer anger of Present Mic and Eraserhead . The death of their friend infuriated them so much that he wasn’t even allowed to die peacefully and instead was being used as puppets . Present Mic showed his anger openly and loudly , while Eraserhead’s was calm and deadly .
By seeing their reactions , we can also conclude that Deku and Bakugou would react in a similar way but it would be amplified since they had known him when they were young . The future of the arc is explained in my previous theory .
