We all know the real reason Laena had to die and leave Daemon and Rhaenyra too early.
The Oldtown triad took one look at this poly triad of awesomeness and got flashbacks to Aegon, Visenya and Rhaenys and decided it had to be stopped then and there.
P.S, I saw your post mentioning how the Blacks need a separate communication system. It’s very telling that Doran Martell has his own raventenders who answer directly to him and not Oldtown.
If only it was just that, nonny.
If Oldtown looked at them the same way they’ve seen Aegon, Rhaenys and Visenya, it would’ve been bad enough. But those three bitches were much worse, especially Rhaenyra. After all, the conquerors had a problem with hatching dragons from the beginning. Daemon banging Rhaenyra meant the future filled with new dragons. Daemon banging Laena would probably give us another Rhaenyra as well. And sure enough it did, with Baela. I’m not counting Rhaena, because we learn she can’t hatch dragons later on.
The last time Oldtown went ballistic about a possible union like this, was the one between another uncle and niece: Maegor and Rhaena, a woman who hatched Dreamfyre and who lost Irone Throne to Jaehaerys. They’ve claimed it was because of incest, yet nobody had anything to say about this issue before with Aegon. And let’s remember, that they forced Maegor to marry a Hightower instead.
That’s why I’m laughing my ass off any time someone tries to defend Jaehaerys, because he at least disbanded faith militants (yeah, he did, after Maegor kicked their asses and put the fear of real gods in them) and managed to negotiate the compromise for Targaryens to be allowed to marry each other (yeah, he did, long after the threat of Rhaena and Aerea diapered across the Narrow Sea). And then he made septon his Hand.
 Please.
Oldtown rats have no trouble letting some Targaryens marry each other, and then they absolutely lose their shit about how incest is a crime against gods and humanity, when others try to do the same. And notice how most of those are remembered as murderers of little puppies and later have problems with producing heirs.
And absolutely, Martells know what’s up, and what’s more, they seem to be using Oldtown for their own gain. Now, I won't go into detail about Martells Conspiracy, but no, it was never about marrying Quentyn to Dany and Arianne to Viserys.
I love how Dorne and Oldtown get more and more tangled as this story goes on.
We have Oberyn with his six links of maester's chain, him hanging around brothels in Oldtown and having a daughter from there: Obara, who blames Oldtown for her father’s death and wishes to sack it.
Oberyn straight out sabotages his sister’s marriage to a Hightower, absolutely annihilating maesters' plan to bring all Seven Kingdoms against Targaryens together. And Oberyn’s own marriage to Cersei gets destroyed by Aerys tempting Tywin into saving her for Rhaegar.
Then come forward the Brave Companions, most probably a company Oberyn created, filled with people related to the Faith, who chopped off Jaime's hand, killed Amory Lorch (a man who murdered Elia’s daughter) and had Qyburn with them. Qyburn who later works for Cersei and takes care of Tywin’s body (the same body that was poisoned) and Gregor Clagane, who's been renamed to Robert Strong. And yes, you’re supposed to make this connection with Harwin. Not to mention, the Brave Companions and their sacking of septs, kicks off the sparrow movement and brings back the faith militant force and their courts. Same courts that poor Cersei has to go against.
And the Sandsnakes?
Not only Nymeria is now on the Small Council, we also have Tyene being dispatched to spy on the High Sparrow, and we have Sarella in the Citadel.
Don’t even let me get started about Martells' race against Blackfyres for who will be the first to get to Dany and her dragons, as well as get Stepstones under their control to transfer an army. By the way, one of the largest city that would give you control over Stepstones, and yes, those are the same Stepstones we are about to see in the show, is Lys. The same Lys where Lynesse Hightower is.
And the whole thing with Quentyn! Because you see, Quentyn was the lost cause from the very beginning. He was fostered by Yronwoods, a House that hates Martells (they are what Boltons are to Starks, or Florents to Tyrells) and people who are well-known Blackfyres supporters. I find it hilarious how Doran clearly knows that Quentyn's become a puppet and tells him to follow his maesters teaching, in order for him to become his heir one day... And then gives him no support on his quest to Essos.
And Arianne is clearly being groomed into ruling. Speaking of Arianne, she gets locked up with some books to read, and those are about: dornish law, dragons, history and septons.
So yeah, Martells know and, as almost everyone in this story, they are playing only for themselves.

A non-shippers unbiased Jon-sa/erys opinion...
Okay, I know I’m not completely unbiased here, becasue I’m not much of a Dany fan (and won’t be until she starts being honest about her intentions). BUT since all of my shipping energy is devoted to Braime and Gendrya I just don’t have anything left for other ships! Because of this I am neither Team Jonsa or Team Jonerys, but it has become such a huge part of the fandom its hard not to form an opinion.
First I think its important to make sure we’re separating our actors from our characters, because while Kit has great chemistry with both Sophie and Emilia, JON has great chemistry with Sansa, but watching him with Dany last season was about as exciting as watching paint dry...
I’ll come back to that, but let’s start with Jonsa first:
I’m really not here for anymore incest in GoT, and while I know that technically they’re only cousins and not siblings, they were still raised in the same home as half brother and sister, even though they didn’t have much of a relationship in their youth. However, detractors of this ship who use their familial relationship to completely write off the the ship are forgetting a little something... GRRM. He doesn’t seem to have to have the same compunction about this topic as the anti’s do, in his original outline for the books he had a storyline where Arya (yikes, I can’t even think about it!) and Jon fall in love and are tortured by this love UNTIL they find out about Jon’s true parentage. Now we know he moved on from that storyline, but did he move on, or just pivot? Another part of the original outline was that Arya was going to be part of an unwitting love triangle, as Tyrion, who abandons his family to fight on the side of the Stark's develops feelings for her, albeit unrequited... now can we think about a different Stark family member that GRRM pivoted a messy, and complicated relationship with Tyrion to? So if he salvaged some semblance of his original outline by transferring plot points to Sansa, its not out of the question that he would do the same for other plot points. Also people who say there’s no canonical evidence for Jonsa are choosing not to pay attention. I mean, you don’t gaze longingly at your “sister’s” lips, after kissing her on the forehead! Go find the gif, I’m not kidding, he kisses her forehead, looks her in the eye’s then looks down at her lips, and just pauses there! Anti’s you might not want it to happen, but it very possibly could happen
Now, onto Jonerys:
(I know they’re technically related too, but they weren’t raised together, so it doesn’t factor into my opinion, thats just what this ridiculous show has done to me!!) I know I said I’m not much of a Dany fan, but I’m going to put that aside, and just look at the evidence provided to us in the show. I think Jon and Dany’s relationship, as presented in season 7 is legit, meaning I’m not really here for the political!jon theories (not because it’s not an interesting idea, I just don’t think D&D are that creative)... so, I think Jon comes to care about Dany (yes, even if he also cares for Sansa - you can have feelings for two people at once) and I think Dany’s feelings for Jon are also real. That doesn’t necessarily mean they are end game, it just means that going into the last season we’re going to see from Dany where her true priorities lie. When she learns there is a surviving Targaryen that has a more legitimate claim to the throne than she does (this is putting aside the fact that I don’t think she has a claim at all, nor does Jon for that matter - but that’s a topic for a different post, lol!) this is the moment that will tell us what kind of person Dany is, and will end up being. She’s either going to acknowledge the claim, or fight against it - there’s really no other option. If she fights against it then I don’t exactly see their relationship surviving that? So she’ll have to decide if love or power is what she wants more. Now I think if D&D had 100% say over how the show ends then they’d have Jon, despite learning of his parentage, “give” the throne to Dany, or at least marry her and rule together (I’ve not seen such huge Dany stan’s as D&D since Jorah!!) Dany would be the hero!! But since we know they’re beholden to GRRM’s ending for the books, I think he’s got a little more imagination than that. I don’t know if Dany will go all Mad Queen, I don’t even necessarily think she’d be a bad ruler (though I do agree with Daario that’s she’s more of a conqueror than a ruler, but  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯) but I just don’t think GRRM would end his series so predictably. The only reason I think Jon should “win” is becasue he doesn’t want to rule, and in stories like this it’s always the people who have leadership thrust upon them that do the best job, the one’s who rule because its the right thing to do, and not out of a lust for power. By that estimation I’d be just as happy if Sam, or Gendry, or Davos ended up King (actually Davos would make a great King... side note, this blog is now a Davos for King blog, lol) Okay, I said before I’d get back to the “watching paint dry” comment, and here it it, its true, they were boring! I’m sorry, I just didn’t buy their courtship AT ALL in season 7, again I don’t think this is purposeful i.e. Jon hiding some secret plot, I just think it was a matter of pacing. We’re so used to watching things move so slowly on this show, that to slam all that happened between them in season 7 into just 7 episodes, it just wasn’t believable to me, and all the “he’s not in love with me” and “I’ve seen you staring at her heart *wink, wink*” moments felt so forced. I think because of the pace, we weren’t able to enjoy any pining, or build up, it was, “look here’s our two stars, aren’t they pretty? They’re gonna bang”... then they did. I just wasn’t here for it, and the actors didn’t seem to be either, hence the paint drying boredom of their performances.
tl/dr: Yes, Jonerys is real, but that doesn’t mean its end game... and yes Jonsa could happen. But I don’t really care either way, I just want Jaime to kiss Brienne, and Gendry to get Arya all flustered by calling her m’lady in front of her family, and Davos is King now, that a new rule I just made but is a good rule! Okay, bye!

Do you think the 3rd WTF moment "right until the very end" according to D&D is related to Jonsa, PoliticalJon, or Dark!Dany, or something else?
Dear nonny,
personally I think it’s a combination of all three. I must say that I would be happy with PoliticalJon and DarkDany alone, but logically the three tie in together imho. Antis love to argue, that so many Jonsas are into the DarkDany theory because of shipping, but that is just not true. DarkDany and Jonsa are two aspects of what I think is the endgame of ASOIAF: No Targ restoration which is the Red Herring, but the endurance of the Starks. PolitcalJon aka Da€nerys’ treason for love ties into that as well because it would mean that Jon as a character who is fighting for the North’s survival  and who dreams of restoring Winterfell is a consistent character after all.
Since the Red Herring of Da€nerys as a hero is written so well - and actually transferred to screen quite good imho - there is little place for any other WTF moment. I’m pretty certain Cersei is going to die, and although I hope it will be done well and convincing, there wouldn’t be any suprise in that. Cersei has doomed written all over her since she declined Ned’s offer to flee. Jaime dying in Brienne’s arms would be heart-wrenching but not surprising etc. A good story has this: Moments you knew were coming and still are exited to see on the page or the screen and moments you didn’t know were coming and that are yet convincing in such a way that you realise you should have seen them coming. Like the Red Wedding.... Reading the Books I knew Robb would die, and yet that chapter had me in tears. I only read it twice, because it leaves me a wreck... Hodor’s death: Of course we know that he in danger being north of the wall, but when he died his death so neatly tied with his name, with Bran’s emerging powers, with the fact, that everybody always made fun of Hodor only saying “Hodor”.... If they do it well in season 8 I fully expect to cry and laugh at the same time.
Thanks for the ask!

All Roads Lead to the Same Castle: Pt 2 Deals, Annulments, and dangerous liaisons
If you haven’t check out Pt. 1 of this little series of metas on s.7 and s.8 predictions. It is basically my winding road ramblings on the subject.
Spoiler Alerts of course. And a disclaimer that it is really hard to predict where the show is going and do even pretend you understand what exactly is driving the characters at this point. I don’t fully blame the show. It is extremely challenging trying to work a story backward. They know the ending but now how the author plans on getting there. Not to belabor that point...my thoughts and Pt.2 under the cut.
THE BACKROOM DEAL
Jon is not the only one up to political maneuvers. In the finale, Tyrion goes to speak with Cersei alone. We believe she has refused to help fight the WW. After speaking, Cersei returns and says she will help. Yay! We quickly learn that Cersei has no intention of helping. Jaime storms off. This is the last straw for him. What about Tyrion?
Tyrion may just have done a backroom deal with Cersei. Thinking Cersei is pregnant with a potential an heir to the throne and knowing  Dany claims to be incapable of conceiving. There is an opportunity for Tyrion here.
Thus, far he has indulged the WW threat. Tyrion is a bit like the Maseters he never really believed it and he never completely took it seriously. Even seeing the wight, I’m not sure Tyrion takes it that seriously. His thinking might be let Jon & Dany take care of the Northern threat if they live, they will be seriously weakened. Making easy work for Lannister troops. Cersei promises Tyrion a role on the small council. Once her child is born, Tyrion can groom the kid to be a great ruler.
Tyrion appears to be having serious doubts about Dany. He did not like or trust any of the people in her alliance with the potential exceptions of Greyworm and Missandei.  The Sand Snakes killed Myrcella. The Tyrells are partially responsible for the events that led to Tommen’s suicide. They are also responsible for framing Tyrion for Joffrey’s death. He never liked Theon from way back at Winterfell.
We could even put the tinfoil on and conclude [TINFOIL ALERT] Tyrion possibly concocted a poor battle strategy for Dany knowing that it would inevitably get her allies captured or killed. Leaving him as the sole influence over her. This almost worked until Jon showed up and Dany did not burn him for not bending. Jon also took Dany’s focus off the war in the south and directed it to the WW threat in the North.
Tyrion sees now that controlling Dany might not ever be as easy as he thought. That combined with Dany’s penchant for burning her enemies (except Jon) and her inability to have a successor could push Tyrion to do a deal with Cersei. A child would be much easier to control via a regency.
The look he had on his face as he stood outside Dany’s door was one of concern. Remember in Pt 1. The possibility that Jon is manipulating Dany was discussed.
DOES JON SNOW KNOW ANYTHING?
The question becomes are Jon and Tyrion aware of what the other is doing? If this story gets the simple straightforward play. Tyrion didn’t do a backroom deal with Cersei and will be shocked when Jaime arrives to tell them Cersei won’t be sending troops North. (Come on, Tyrion knows Cersei! Why would her lie surprise him? Even if he didn’t do a deal with her, he has to expect her betrayal) And his look of concern or anger that we saw on the show during the J&D sexy time could be a tinge of jealousy as some suggest. Or worry that she is being distracted.
Or his look could mean that Jon getting closer to Dany is putting a serious wrench in his plans. Perhaps, he is on to Jon’s plans and is further questioning Dany’s leadership abilities. And feels a bit guilty. Tyrion did at one point seem to be encouraging the relationship. Perhaps, he is having second thoughts about encouraging it.
Once Jon’s parentage is revealed, we could see him taking sides. Who’s? Again, it’s hard to say. The show is going to play this for maximum suspense. Let’s not forget it looks like Jaime will be showing up at Winterfell, too. It’s possible they all begin to take sides.
YES, SANSA IS STILL MARRIED!!!
Another [TINFOIL ALERT] Tyrion may even be considering rekindling his marriage to Sansa. It is one of the first things he mentions to Jon. After seeing Jon’s reaction to his comment about his marriage to Sansa, he thought perhaps he would need to be more careful when broaching the subject.
If Tyrion had hopes on re-enstating his marriage to Sansa, he could have decided it was to his advantage to win Jon over. He could have decided to work with Jon. OR he could be very interested in getting rid of Jon (first by appearing to work with him and then betraying him). After which he would claim that his marriage to Sansa was not a sham at all. And he could make a claim for Winterfell. (Arya and Bran showing up also puts a dent in this plan for Tyrion…)
In the books, Sansa has not married again. She also notes that her still being married to a presumed alive Tyrion is a problem for Littlefinger, who wants to marry her off to Harry Hardyng. The show really skirts this question only saying her marriage to Tyrion was not consummated. That’s grounds for an annulment. Except, Sansa has not been granted one yet.
The week after the finale articles have come out about GRRM original outline that said there would be a love triangle between Jon-Arya-Tyrion. The thinking is that this love triangle was transferred to Jon-Dany-Tyrion. Possible except that it gets the tension of the dynamic backward. The Jon-Sansa-Littlefinger triangle represents what the original was supposed to be. Jon and Arya (in the outline) were supposed to be tormented by their feelings for each other until Jon’s parentage was revealed. Thus, resulted in a dangerous love triangle between Jon-Arya-Tyrion. The dynamics of a Jon-Dany-Tyrion triangle don’t work in this context. The torment will happen after the reveal. In the outline, it is not known whether Jon and Arya were supposed to be aware of each other's feelings. Only that it caused them torment. It possible this idea was tossed out. It’s possible that this was reversed and applied to Jon and Dany to cause tension. (I’ve recently read that theory as well…) AS we know it’s near impossible to make predictions about the show at this point. That being said whatever the love triangle we are meant to see Jon’s reaction to Littlefinger’s declaration of love for Sansa was highly suspicious. It suggests that we are witnessing one triangle already. I mean, he nearly killed the man. Imagine, what will he do if Tyrion tries to make a case for his marriage to Sansa?
Jon will discover that he is Sansa’s cousin. The actors have long said this will change their relationship. To the best of the audiences’ knowledge, they don’t know this yet. (more on the audiences’ knowledge in Pt.3). Many believe Jon has strong feelings for Sansa. Will they eventually act on repressed feelings (if they do in fact exist)? Even being cousins will they have to keep it a secret to preserve the alliance with Dany? What will Jon do when he knows his parentage and Tyrion tries to make a case for the marriage to Sansa? Hell, what will Sansa do?
Again, it can’t be stated enough that in the books an alive Tyrion is a problem if Sansa wants to marry again. Annulments are not handed out lightly. It takes money and power to get one even if the much was not consummated. Usually, the man has to request it or a woman’s very powerful family. If she wants an annulment from another person of a powerful family who does not want it, you have a problem. Rhaegar’s getting annulment from Elia, really would have had to have been kept secret lest he loses the support of Dorne. Most likely in the books, he will have tried to do something similar to the first Aegon and have two wives. Unfortunately, Westeros is a patriarchy and Sansa or Dany won’t likely be getting two husbands. Though, it really isn’t a bad endgame. [PLENTY OF FAN FICS WITH DANY+fAEGON+JON AS A TRIAD]. No, Sansa will have to get rid of Tyrion if she wants to marry anyone again. Add to this that she may (or may not) have more than familial feelings for Jon...and...well...
HAPPY ENDINGS?
In a happy ending, we might see a J+D union and S+T union or a J+S and a D+T with one pair ruling one region and another ruling the other region. Or J+D each ruling a region and S+T acting as their hands. Doubtful that we see that happening. We know that the end will be bittersweet.
I predict a dark ending with a sense of hope. An ending in which our heroes the Starks become very morally gray. An ending was they will have to act deceptively, even become downright bad. While I personally love the idea of exile for Dany and possibly for Tyrion as well. That is probably not the ending.  Both may befall a darker fate at the hands of the Starks. There is a great meta on Tyrion being the savage giant Sansa slays in the prophecy. I’ve had this theory for awhile. He is the only character referred to in the books as a giant. And there is something very savage about book!Tyrion. Littlefinger was a perfect red herring for the savage giant. Except Sansa did not slay him, not with her own hands. The true savage giant will be someone she kills with her own hands. Tyrion even says “Sansa is not a killer, not yet at least”. Sansa is inching closer and closer to being an outright killer on the show. Both Ramsey and Littlefinger were executed on her call. And while she has not gotten her hands dirty, it’s only a matter of time before she does.
How and the ultimate why Sansa would have to get rid of Tyrion remains to be seen. Does he get wind of her feelings for Jon? Does Sansa find out that he is planning to betray Dany which would put Jon in danger? This goes for Dany’s fate as well. Is Jon a true undercover lover or simply trying to make the best of a bad situation and secure Dany’s help. We really just don’t know what is motivating our characters.
We do know Jon, Tyrion, and Sansa are all trying to play the game, a very dangerous game. And they are all headed for a collision course with not just the White Walkers but with each other at Winterfell. It is unclear exactly how much they are all aware of the others actions. (In my ideal world Jon and Sansa are communicating in secret with each other while apart.) In not fully understanding the game each is playing, they could become very dangerous to each other and those around them.

Season 6
6x05: THE DOOR
BIG STUFF: Hodor holds the door :( Bran learns about the origins of White Walkers. The Night King kills the Three-Eyed Raven. Euron becomes King of the Iron Islands. Sansa confronts Littlefinger. Dany forgives Jorah. Arya is assigned to kill Lady Crane.
Bran learns about the origins of the White Walkers through a vision: the Children of the Forest created the Night King by impaling a man with a dragonglass dagger. Leaf explains that the Children were at war with the First Men and they needed a powerful weapon.
Bran decides to have another vision, this time without the Three-Eyed Raven. He sees the Night King leading huge army of wights, and the Night King touches Bran in the vision. When he wakes up, he finds a mark on his skin. The Three-Eyed Raven tells Bran that they must leave, and that the Night King can find them now. The Three-Eyed Raven transfers his knowledge to Bran as an army of wights arrives. The Night King kills the Three-Eyed Raven. Leaf and Summer (Bran’s direwolf) sacrifice themselves to protect Bran from wights. The Children hold back the wights as Meera protects Bran’s body.
Meera tells Hodor to “hold the door” while she flees with Bran. Meanwhile, Bran is stuck inside a vision of Winterfell. He sees the Winterfell of his father’s youth, including a young Ned Stark saying goodbye to his father. He also sees a young stable boy names Wylis, who is a young Hodor.
When Bran hears Meera telling him to warg into Hodor, Bran splits his consciousness and wargs into Hodor while still stuck in his vision of Winterfell. He accidentally wargs into the younger version of Hodor, aka Wylis. Wylis sees Bran in Winterfell, thus linking Wylis’s mind to Hodor’s present day mind. He collapses and seizes, repeating what Meera is telling him in the present: Hold the door, hold the door, until the words muddle into “Hodor.” As Wylis cries “Hodor” in the past, the Hodor of the present holds the door against the wights long enough for Meera to escape with Bran. Wights descend on Hodor, killing him.
Sansa (reunited with Jon and planning to retake Winterfell), confronts Littlefinger for marrying her to Ramsay. Sansa declines his offer of the Vale army to help her retake Winterfell. Littlefinger tells Sansa that the Blackfish has retaken Riverrun. Sansa sends Brienne to recruit the Blackfish and Tully forces to help retake Winterfell.
Jorah tells Dany about his greyscale and admits his love for her. Dany forgives him, and orders him to cure the disease so he can be with her when she conquers Westeros.
Yara makes her claim to the Salt Throne at the Kingsmoot, and Theon supports her. Euron Greyjoy, their uncle, arrives to claim the throne. He admits that he killed Balon. He announces his plans to conquer Westeros by marrying Daenerys and offering her the Iron Fleet. The Ironborn choose Euron as their king; Yara and Theon flee with the best of the Fleet.
Jaqen assigns Arya, still in Braavos training with the FM, to kill an actress named Lady Crane. While gathering intel about Lady Crane, Arya watches a play about the deaths of Ned Stark and Robert, and is distressed by the portrayals of her father and sister, thus indicating that Arya is not fully ready to forget her family.
Tyrion and Varys discuss how peaceful Meereen has become since the deal with the Masters. A red priestess agrees to preach that Daenerys is the chosen one of the Lord of Light.
6x09: BATTLE OF THE BASTARDS
BIG STUFF: The Battle of the Bastards! Jon leads Stark allies against the Boltons, ultimately defeating Ramsay’s forces with the help of the Knights of the Vale. Ramsay kills Rickon. Sansa watches Ramsay get devoured by his hounds. The Starks hold Winterfell again. Theon and Yara pledge fealty to Dany.
Jon, Sansa, Davos, Tormund, Lyanna Mormont, and others meet with Ramsay, Smalljon Umber, and their bannermen. Ramsay says he will pardon Jon if he returns Sansa to him. Ramsay and Umber prove that Rickon is in their possession by presenting Shaggydog’s head. Sansa tells Ramsay that he will die tomorrow. Ramsay tells Jon that his hounds haven’t eaten in days.
Sansa worries that Jon hasn’t gathered enough men to fight Ramsay’s forces; she and Jon get into an argument ahead of the battle. Sansa warns Jon not to do what Ramsay wants him to do, and also warns that Rickon was fated to die as soon as Ramsay captured him.
Davos and Tormund reaffirm their loyalty to Jon, saying that he is the leader they should have served all along.
Davos discovers the remains of a pyre and the wooden stag he carved for Shireen, and realizes that Shireen had been burned.
The next morning, the armies are gathered outside Winterfell. Ramsay brings Rickon out and has him run to Jon while firing arrows at him. Jon rushes to save him, but Ramsay’s arrow strikes Rickon, killing him. Jon charges at Ramsay as the Bolton arches fire and the cavalry charges. Battle ensues, leaving hundreds of men dead.
As the Bolton infantry surrounds the Stark men, Jon is nearly trampled by wildlings attempting to fight Smalljon’s forces. Just as all hope seems to be lost, the Knights of the Vale arrive as Littlefinger and Sansa look on. The Knights easily rout the rest of the Bolton army. Tormund kills Smalljon. Ramsay flees to Winterfell. Jon, Wun Wun, and Tormund follow.
Wun Wun breaks down the gates of Winterfell and Jon runs in. Wun Wun is killed. Jon blocks Ramsay’s arrows and beats the shit out of him, stopping when he sees Sansa. Later on, Sansa visits Ramsay, who is imprisoned in the kennels with his hounds. She tells him that his house will disappear with him as his starving hounds are released. They devour him as Sansa looks on.
The Starks have Winterfell again!!!
Dany, Tyrion, Missandei, and Grey Worm meet with the Masters. The Masters offer to let Dany return to Westeros in exchange for Missandei, the Unsullied, and killing the dragons. Dany proceeds to ride Drogon into the bay while they, Rhaegal, and Viserion burn the slaver fleet. Grey Worm kills two of the Masters, allowing a third to go free.
Daario leads the Dothraki to kill the Sons of the Harpy, who have been massacring free men outside the city.
Yara and Theon arrive in Meereen and offer Dany their ships in exchange for overthrowing Euron and recognizing Yara as Queen of the Iron Islands. Dany agrees to help them if Yara promises to stop the Ironborn from reaving.
6x10: THE WINDS OF WINTER
BIG STUFF: Dany finally sails for Westeros. Cersei blows up the Sept of Baelor.  Margaery, Loras, Mace Tyrell, the High Sparrow, Lancel Lannister, and Pycelle die. Tommen commits suicide and Cersei becomes queen. Arya kills Walder Frey. Jon becomes King in the North. Bran learns that Jon is Lyanna’s son. Jon exiles Melisandre. White ravens announce the arrival of winter.
The High Sparrow and the Faith Militant gather at the Sept of Baelor for Cersei’s and Loras’s trials. Loras confesses to his crimes and joins the Faith, renouncing his titles.
Cersei remains in her chambers. Lancel is sent to retrieve her, and discovers a cache of wildfire about to explode. Before he can disarm it, he is stabbed. Margaery meanwhile realizes that this is a trap, as Cersei and Tommen have failed to appear. She tries to get everyone out of the building but the High Sparrow prevents anyone from leaving. The wildfire ignites and the sept explodes, killing everyone inside, including the High Sparrow and Margaery, Loras, and Mace Tyrell.
Cersei watches the sept explode with satisfaction. She tortures Septa Unella, who tortured Cersei while she was imprisoned, leaving a mutilated and resurrected Gregor Clegane with her.
Tommen, despondent after learning of Margaery’s death and the explosion of the sept, jumps to his death.
With Tommen dead, Cersei is crowned Queen of the Seven Kingdoms. Jaime, having just returned from the Riverlands, views her coronation.
Qyburn’s child spies stab Pycelle to death.
Olenna Tyrell, grieving the death of her family, meets with Ellaria and the Sand Snakes in Dorne to discuss an alliance against Cersei. Varys appears and offers Olenna vengeance through an alliance with Daenerys.Dany tells Daario to stay in Meereen while she travels to Westeros. She names Tyrion as her Hand of the Queen.

All 49 ‘Recreation of Thrones’ Major Characters, Ranked Worst to Greatest (Pictures)
“Recreation of Thrones” has quite a lot of characters, and too many to rank. So we’re simply going to concentrate on the 49 characters who’re or had been an important, in our humble opinion. For those who do not like our record, Littlefinger will poison your wedding ceremony cake. (Many spoilers, clearly.)
49. Viserys Targaryan A complete jackass, Viserys had possibly the perfect loss of life in the entire sequence: having molten gold dumped on his head.
48. Rickon Who? (I really feel dangerous for this joke after season 6, however I’ll go away it)
47. Robb Stark The Crimson Marriage ceremony was a coming of age for viewers of the present. Rewatching these early seasons realizing that is gonna occur exposes Robb for the lame dude he actually is.
46. Stannis Principally a stodgy, moralistic Southern Baptist minister. I am from Alabama, so I used to be pulling for him.
45. Bran Stark Must work on his pouty face and develop out his hair if he desires to be the brand new Jon Snow.
44. Roose Bolton He is just like the Rely Dooku of this present, appearing like he is working for himself although he is actually only a pawn who most likely will get his head minimize off by younger Darth Vader.
43. Daario Was a scorching blond dude, however now (after a casting change) is only a repeatedly engaging brown-haired dude who was banished from Dany’s mattress as a result of who cares about love anyway?
42. Ned Stark The Mark Twain of the present, giving his youngsters a bunch of recommendation that wasn’t truly helpful earlier than he obtained murdered. Wait, how did Mark Twain die? This analogy might not observe all the way in which however no matter.
41. Joffrey Oh man. Keep in mind that time the cake was too dry and it made his eyes bug out and his face flip purple and he spit foamy crimson drool in every single place? Hilarious.
40. Shae Did what she wanted to outlive, till it turned out doing what she wanted to do to outlive (hooking up with Tywin Lannister) obtained her killed.
39. Tommen Not probably the most decisive king, both earlier than or after he had intercourse. However he is higher than Joffrey, I assume.
38. Khal Drogo Obtained fridged for the sake of Daenerys’ character arc. Lovely.
37. Gendry Melisandre put a leech on his penis one time. It appears like that is all I ought to put right here.
36. Theon I am nonetheless pulling for his post-castration energy play. Or for him to only get killed already.
35. Jorah Mormont Actually unhappy as a result of he nonetheless cannot afford to purchase Khaleesi’s love.
34. King Robert In all probability probably the most chill and carefree character on the present, drunk more often than not, yelling quite a bit though he actually did not have any issues. Nicely, till that point he drank an excessive amount of and obtained killed by a boar.
33. Ramsey Bolton Is Ramsey probably the most demented dude on this present? Nicely, he is undoubtedly the funniest demented dude, which is not truly humorous in any respect when you concentrate on it.
32. Catelyn Stark Loses to the Lannisters each within the Recreation of Thrones and the Recreation of Angsty Overprotective Mothers.
31. Talisa Stark Each joke that involves thoughts is way too reprehensible even for a “Recreation of Thrones” record, so I am not going to place one right here.
30. Sam An enormous nerd who predictably finds love in a home of someone else’s daughter-wives.
29. Lord Commander Mormont Died as a result of Sam discovered love in a home of someone else’s daughter-wives.
28. Ygritte A marksman with a bow, liked Jon Snow, killed by a baby. She was principally an viewers surrogate.
27. Gilly Would not know something apart from all of the stuff Sam does not know the best way to do. Which is most issues.
26. The Excessive Sparrow He tried pulling an enormous superior gambit, however in the end he was not ready for the Recreation in addition to he thought, judging by how laborious Cersei outplayed him.
25. Crimson Viper His irascible lust distracted him from delivering the killing blow in opposition to the Mountain. He can be a lot, a lot increased on this record had been it not for that obvious oversight.
24. The Hound Killed the butcher’s boy, then spent a number of seasons saying plenty of imply issues earlier than being left to die on a rock. If his redemption arc goes effectively he would possibly get a bump.
23. Jaime Lannister Can I make a joke about masturbating together with your off hand? There’s nothing in our model information about that. Anyway, the place’s the scene the place Jaime discovered how to do this?
22. Jaqen H’ghar Speaks in riddles, has many faces (and lots of our bodies), and set Arya on the trail to dropping her eyesight though he would have been burned alive if she hadn’t saved him. What a clown.
21. Tywin Lannister Was killed by his hated dwarf son. Precisely what he deserved, although I secretly hoped he would sooner or later simply be good to his youngsters.
20. Ellaria Sand Dedicated one of many best and most upsetting murders on the entire present.
19. Tormund Giantsbane Has an ideal identify, homicide in his coronary heart and an enormous lovely crimson beard. Additionally he was in “Destiny of the Livid,” the newest film in my favourite movie franchise. What’s to not like?
18. Jon Snow Nicely, he is lifeless. King of the lifeless ones. Undoubtedly not coming again ever. Not lifeless. Murdered a very irritating character. May stand to be much less good, although.
17. Euron Greyjoy We won’t assist however admire the (no pun supposed) pleasure with which Euron enacts his villainy. “I AM THE STORM!” Hahaha.
16. Hodor Shoulda been named “Meme.” (One other joke I really feel about dangerous about after season 6. I moved him method up in compensation.)
15. Margaery Tyrell Delightfully passive-aggressive towards Cersei on a regular basis. Certain, she was killed horribly by Cersei as a result of she made a basic “Recreation of Thrones” miscalculation — and I actually ought to bump her down for that — however, nah, she was an excessive amount of enjoyable.
14. Brienne Tall, kills quite a lot of males, is single and celibate, takes no crap from anybody and does not play the sport. An ideal counter to principally the whole lot else on “Recreation of Thrones.”
13. Tyrion Lannister Thinks together with his penis. Which is okay as a result of his penis is so sensible.
12. Varys Barely smarter than Tyrion as a result of he does not have a penis.
11. Melisandre A lot of folks assume of Melisandre because the “attractive” foremost character, however she’s truly the “terrifying” foremost character. Keep in mind that time she burned a baby alive? That sucked. Now she suffers for it, lastly, however she’ll most likely be again to do one thing superb. Nonetheless ready, although.
10. Missandei “All males should die. However we aren’t males.” Any questions?
9. Davos Seaworth Simply the MVP of season 7.
eight. Littlefinger In all probability the neatest character on the present, however makes use of all that brainpower for evil. So he is nice, is what I am saying.
7. Daenerys Commits many of the finest murders on the present, because of these dragons and her invulnerability to fireside. and so they’re often justified. Huge bonus factors for that.
6. Arya Stark By no means underestimate this faceless girl.
5. Olenna Tyrell Makes an ideal joke about ineffective genitals, and continually talks smack about everybody. And she or he obtained absolutely the final phrase in her loss of life scene. My dream girl.
four. Sansa Stark A whole lot of viewers nonetheless underestimate right here even now in season 7, pondering she’s taking part in proper into Littlefinger’s hand reasonably than having her personal plan for coping with his machinations. Ludicrous.
three. Bronn Enters the present in probably the most “Recreation of Thrones” method potential: by stepping out of the background of a scene to kill a man for Tyrion.
2. Gray Worm Simply the perfect. Unhappy as a result of his life sucks. Badass who kills quite a lot of his issues. Communicates quite a bit with out saying a lot. Gray Worm looks like the form of tragic “Recreation of Thrones” character who’s going to have a quick second of triumph earlier than getting slaughtered. I hope that triumph is actually good.
1. Cersei Yeah, she’s a horrible individual, however she’s the product of a horrible father and horrible setting. Via season 7, although, she’s been higher than everybody else at taking part in the sport, though each transfer she’s made has had some form of terrible unintentional consequence for folks she cares about. We’ll see if she will be able to keep this spot because the endgame approaches, nonetheless.
