Well, that’s difficult to say, because each season fairy will vote for their respective firstborn. The autumn fairies will say Nightmare, the winter fairies will say Error, and so forth. However, if we instead ask: Which firstborn is the one most openly worshipped and admired by their fairies?

Then that answer will become Dream.

Dream can scarcely be around his own summer fairies without being surrounded by song and flower petals scattered around and over him. They might seem almost obnoxiously bothersome to the other firstborn but Dream absolutely loves this attention. The love and devotion his own summer fairies have for him make him beyond joyful, and he returns this love with warmth and sunlight.

The other season fairies do of course show open love and worship towards their own firstborns as well, but the summer fairies are the ones who are the loudest when it comes to this very thing. Hilariously enough, they’ve attempted to do this towards Error whenever he comes to visit Dream, just because they want to ensure that he stays in a good mood, but it does the complete opposite as Error finds it to be incredibly annoying. It always ends with the summer fairies scattering in fright, much to Error’s amusement. Dream isn’t as amused, but he won’t deny that he prefers those moments alone with Error, so he doesn’t mind if his summer fairies leave them alone for a little while.

Diego is happiest around Manny see! The bottom photo is a screencap of Diego going who knows where after he and Manny have their "breakup" fight at the beginning of IA3 and he just looks so disconsolate here … and almost as if he's about to cry!

Because he misses Manny so much already because he and Manny are the two closest in the entire group - by virtue of risking their lives to save each other and willingly putting their lives on the line/down for each other in IA1 - and it's so funny, too, becos in the scene where Manny confronts Diego and Diego tells him about wanting to leave, Manny's reaction is as though Diego has DUMPED him.

But around Manny Diego is happiest and has the most genuine smiles/body language becos Manny is HIS BESTIE and the one soul he trusts the most and as is seen in the above image Diego fairly lights up around him and he doesn't look quite so expressive or happy around any other character.

Diego is heart-happiest around Manny and it shows! They have the most beautiful friendship/bromance in the entire Ice Age series and it really should be talked about/discussed more along with ficced and fanarted/fanvidded more!

Also, honestly, I still find this "breakup" of theirs weak writing in IA3 because Manny and Diego seem the type to have a strong, unbreakable friendship so this kinda feels OOC to me regardless though.

But we did get some Mango angst and Manny & Diego with strong arcs/plotlines in an Ice Age sequel again with both of them grounding the movie with their friendship, again, a la IA1, with some slight callbacks "You have to trust me" to IA1 and Diego and Manny both willingly putting each other's lives on the line - Diego for Ellie & Peaches more so but in a way still for Manny - for each other and that's why I love this friendship. <3

#tag talk #as much as I hate to see the social cinema grow as I get new followers. we're at a good and satisfying number. and I like that #also also also. I've introduced a friend to Hannibal (tv show) and he's loving it and I'm so happy cause none of #of my other friends have been able to stomach the body horror. so it's super cool to find someone to hype over it with #another random story that I genuinely can't remember if I said already. got told by a kid in minecraft that he's smiled a lot more around me #which. huge compliment. genuine honor to make people happy and smile and laugh #people don't laugh enough. we don't smile enough. be happy or die. and I'm too powerful to die. been there. haven't done that #cry and then laugh and then punch as hard as you can. #got to visit some of my favorite residents from the nursing home I first worked at. lotta new staff but my three favorite nurses are still #which is nice. I cried when I left that job because even though it crushed my soul I loved my coworkers and most of my residents. #I get why some healthcare workers grind themselves to the bone for the job. you're making such a huge difference in people's lives. #I tried but didn't have the fortitude for it. but it's nice to be able to go back and say hi to the friends I made and see how things are. #anyway. sorry for being weird like.. one or two weeks ago. I think things are settling out again. moving is rough but we're making it work #It's been a lot of Lear again lately. especially while being at my parents house. he doesn't mind being deadnamed as much sooo.... #idk. at least one of us is capable of surviving the dmv and the state medicaid website. heaven knows I can't manage. #trying to stop using him as a crutch for getting things done has just resulted in us not being able to get things done. #but I don't want to be someone else I want to be me. I can't do that. #anyway. we're back home! and work is on the horizon. hopefully this job works out cause I don't want to have to apply for new jobs. #the hr rep is a man at this store and I immediately got set on edge and our voice dropped as I stepped back. #then we introduced ourselves with the wrong name and he got confused and I just felt stupid about it #but how am I supposed to know which name he's been told. he didn't even use our paperwork name. Anyway that was a disaster #but we're on track and embarrassment is not a setback but a feeling about the way things progress. and it is progress we're making
