I should probably go sleep but I wanna talk abt sci fantasy au prophets so.
So there's two types of prophets in this au; cursed and non cursed prophets. There are many many differences between the two, but the biggest thing is that non cursed prophet's visions and prophecies are usually incredibly vague, while cursed prophet's visions and prophecies are usually very vivid and detailed. However, with that comes a price. Non cursed prophets can change the future without much direct consequence if they play their cards right, but any horrible shit that cursed prophets prevent will be swung back at them with equal force, usually through direct pain. How bad it is depends on how bad of a future they stopped, but usually even if they prevented people dying they won't like die or anything. The pain sure will suck though.
Another thing abt cursed prophets is that their curse acts as a luring force, getting the host to get more and more invested in their visions and prophecies, leading to them getting them more frequently, and well. The fate of a cursed prophet usually isn't a kind one. They usually tend to go off the deep end a bit before they're completely lost to time though, which is why most organisations of non cursed prophets have a branch for finding and taking out cursed prophets. Speaking of, yeah non cursed prophets are usually very aware of the wider prophet community, mainly because for non cursed prophets their abilities are genetic rather than random chance. That's not to say that all people related to a non cursed prophets will also be prophets though. Toko's family is pretty much entirely non cursed prophets, but they aren't. They and their family were also convinced that they weren't a prophet at all of years but unfortunately for Toko that ended up not being the case fmdnfjdk
I guess I should also say, despite what I said, not all cursed prophets are completely fucked! Kokoro especially is handling it quite well all things considered, and is for the most part not that heavily effected by the more dangerous downsides of the curse, mainly thanks to her ability to live in the moment and also ignore all her problems fjdkfjdj. That's not to say she never interacts with her visions, but she usually only does so if it's something like. Bad bad. Otherwise she usually doesn't pay them much mind.
