Favorite Qsmp Moments By Yours Truly
Reblogged this post about my Top 3, and felt compelled to put down all the moments I remember the most fondly (which is a lot so good luck getting through the whole post, if you make it to end you get the eggs back on the server)
#Lore
Pretty much the entire Happy Pills arc (Philza seeing the fake room and fake Richas, the lead up to Forever pulling a gun on him, Cellbit and Forever's argument, Forever hysterically sobbing while talking to fake Richas, the reveal that Forever destroyed the entire goddamn server and forced the Fed to do a server rollback, the Curing, the calm afterwards)
Pac being walked back to Chume Labs by Cellbit after being cured, them having their heart to heart, Cellbit recognizing his struggle and telling him he saved himself and Forever, that he was a hero, and Pac quietly recovering in his first moment of peace since it all started.
The hospital visits when Forever was comatose. Philza, Bad and Cellbit's visits are the ones people talk about the most for the serious parts but Fit also visited and opened up a surprising amount, I feel like it said a lot about his character that he opened up to a man in a coma, desperate to get his words off his chest, but not trusting enough to tell someone who would remember them the next day
Bad getting really pissed at the Federation for the first time and lassoing Cucurucho to "walk him like a dog" (you could feel the anti-Federation sentiment really solidify in this moment, before it was more so Cellbit's personal vendetta but this became one of the moments that made it a server-wide stance)
Vegetta and later Foolish fighting off the Codes who were trying to kill Leo (the absolute stress from Foolish's fight when he kept shouting at Leo to warp out and her not doing it was unreal)
Tallulah's first death, how hard Fit, Forever and their eggs fought to protect her, and how absolutely furious Philza was
Pretty much every Forever and Cucurucho interaction post-Happy Pills; their dynamic was never the same after that, and you can see how tense Forever is every time he's alone with Cucurucho
Charlie's rampage after Flippa died the first time (pre-trial); he's too good at voice acting cause holy shit
Maxo's "King of the Codes" dream after his leg got infected
Quackity coming back after El Quackity vanished and being himself yet completely different (not remembering anyone, only speaking spanish, not being able to read or write), and Maxo and Roier sticking by him trying to press for answers while Q just wanted to build his house
Etoiles getting hyped for his big final fight with the Codes, and the excitement immediately being sapped out of him when he sees Pomme in the cage
The first time we saw a Federation worker other than Cucurucho (Cellbit was the first to see one I believe)
Tubbo's "Fire won't break it. TNT won't break it. I will." speech after Quackity abducted Fred
Funnies/Generally Cool
The Gordinho Gostozinho highlights (from funny ones like the Foolish and Austin kiss to lore like the ambush on El Quackity)
Foolish roleplaying being very fucking drunk in the club after the spiderbit wedding (him being like "you want a shot? I'll give you a fucking shot" and pulling out a gun and shooting Charlie was so goddamn funny, second time he shot Charlie that night); he was wildly good at roleplaying a drunk person and after the Brazil meetup where we learned he's apparently a tank when it comes to drinking I'm starting to see where it comes from lmao
Maxo waking up in Pierre's bed with his moan remix playing after he died during a serious lore moment, and his face of absolute defeat and bitter resentment actually had me struggling to breath from how hard I was laughing (also Baghera hysterically laughing at the clip and showing it to people)
Polis singing My Heart Will Go On with his very crunchy microphone to Cellbit (and Cell losing his shit)
Vegetta starting to suck off Foolish in the middle of a theater full of people the first fucking day the French were on the server, and the ensuing shouting from everyone angrily trying to stop them
SASUKEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Debate moderator Fit during the election arc (+him reading out Gegg's speeches, as well as just Gegg's speeches in general)
Lawyer Jaiden/Bad/Quackity/Roier being genuinely really good at acting as lawyers (and lawyer Fit offering to bribe and then murder the judge if the trial didn't go their way. Also the trial derailing into exposing Foolish for his love life with Mariana for some reason)
All the victims of Eh Vegetta
The emotional rollercoaster that is the Frubbo arc, Tubbo's thirst tweets included
Felps
The first time the admins did a roundup of everyone's early-game builds and they kept showing Mariana's base with the negative buzzer sound, each time of which made Mariana more angry until he was just swearing in spanish
Mousey's first experiences in Lucky Ducks, and the pinpointable moments that led to her totally not gambling addiction
Abueloier (specifically his first interaction with Quackity cause of how good Roier is at making Q laugh with horny humor + the moment when Abueloier said he had been fighting with Roier for 20 years and Cellbit asked "how did you fight with a baby" and them cracking up cause Roier hadn't thought that part through)
Baghera being consistently bad at predicting mines for the sake of avoiding them
Fit killing Tubbo with the potato gun after he started strip teasing on Pac
That clip of Missa jumping off the wall to hit a bucket clutch, miscalculating and hitting part of the wall, falling further, hitting part of the wall again and getting downed on it, falling while downed, and finally hitting the ground where he was unable to clutch because he was downed, and immediately dying
Every moment where Tina is unhinged (her raging at Bad when he's being a nuisance, her being down horrendous for Bagi, etc)
Charlie talking about his dead daughter and Foolish interrupting him to ask if he lactates (Charlie doesn't usually hesitate with responses cause of how quick witted he is but he had to fully pause after that one)
Spreen teaching Fit how to do a line being his most meaningful contribution to their marriage
Felps Square, and the rise of Squole (Felps Square x Tubhole)
The Jaidens (and how hilariously shit they were at being stealthy)
The French Beast aka Etoiles various adventures destroying the Codes and typing his win streak in chat after every fight
Philza getting to really know Tazercraft during Tallulah's birthday party (seriously watch the clips Mike is fucking hilarious)
The post-lore hangout (might've been the election dinner?) where Foolish, Mouse, Tina, and Felps went dungeoning together; I got to learn more about Mouse, and the chemistry the Foolish/Tina/Mouse group had with Felps was really fun
Rivers being awkward as fuck around other people that aren't Roier
The entire trial of Juanaflippa, including Charlie and Mariana being in holding and breaking out
Antoine's "because he's a fucking troll" about Pierre
The moment when Kameto logged on
Forever calling Bad "sir" (if yk yk)
Fit complaining to Philza and co. about Spreen being a "fucking asshole husband who went out for cigarettes"
Vegetta and Roier debuting as strippers and Quackity's reaction (+Vegetta getting stuck in the wall)
Flippa's turtle falling off a ledge and killing itself right in front of Charlie and Mariana's sex roleplay
Mine Roulette with Antoine, Bad, Baghera, Pomme and Foolish (that evening was such a vibe and it was my first time watching from Antoine's stream)
Etoiles saying that Pierre is married and has kids but all he can think about is being depressed over the admins nerfing Create after Tubbo kept breaking things
Ramón being mad at Fit for keeping secrets from him and saying "talk to my shell" before carrying on with his redstone
The pinpointable moments where Tallulah gets more sassy and confident until she's unironically putting "serve cunt" in her signs
Bad trying to get info from Cucurucho, being told by Dapper and Ramón not to flirt, and immediately slipping up with the "you come here often"
Missa singing When You're Gone during his dog funeral (I know this sounds sad but it was really fucking funny, Missa's language vocabulary is 70% incompressible whimpering)
Fit losing his absolute mind after Cucuruchito started heavy flirting with him out of no where
Vegetta's mines and all the carnage they have caused (you could make a whole comp from just the French's arrival)
That era where Tazercraft where abusing create mod and breaking Federation shit near on the daily (the poor admins lmao)
Forever and Bad exploring the Federation construction site and Forever making Cucurucho drink his pee before being shot at for making Cucurucho drink his pee
And of course, all of the lovely Qsmp songs/memes (Vivo Turbo ad, Pac e Mike wow wow, Eh Vegetta, Maxo moan remix, Pomme Pomme Dapper Dapper remix, Quackity paga el servidor, honorary French member Bebou, meus pais/minhas mães, the inactive members being referenced to this day, Amiga...)

No. 29: “I only sink deeper the deeper I think.”
Scented Candle | Troubled Past Resurfacing | “What happened to me?”
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Technoblade passed Dream a green mug, filled to the brim with chamomile. Dream took a cautious first sip the second the piglin looked away and tasted the signature sweetness of healing pots. Ah. So it was Phil’s recipe then. He’d been trying to get Dream off potions, and, if that necessitated a different transfer method because potions were still all too necessary, so be it.
“Last night was fine?” Techno asked, rummaging through one of his chests as he spoke.
Dream nodded, even though he knew Techno couldn’t see him. “Yeah. I didn’t have any dreams.” He ignored the nightmares from the night prior, the way that he had woken up a cold sweat and could only count himself lucky that he hadn’t cried out. If they didn’t know about that, then Dream wasn’t going to tell them.
“Nice. Phil asked me to help patch up his roof ‘cause it’s drafty and Niki wants to talk about building her own house up here. She has her whole underground city, and anyone’s allowed to stay there, but she wants to be a bit closer to us. Somewhere to stay when she comes up for the Syndicate meetings,” Techno elaborated. Dream could tell he was rambling but wasn’t going to interrupt him. “Like, Ranboo has–had a place up here too, even though he usually stayed with Tubbo.” Techno shrugged. “We didn’t question it. You don’t question stuff like that.”
“Sounds complicated,” Dream agreed. He really didn’t want to get swept up into the Ranboo relationship drama thingamajig. As far as he knew, and as far as he cared, Ranboo married Tubbo who had been killed by Technoblade, whom Ranboo had also been friends with and maybe Techno had been his mentor? Dream had no idea.
“You don’t say,” Techno responded monotonely without missing a beat. “Hey, you ever think doing that? Building your own house up here? Like, we all know you’re homeless, but you wouldn’t be if do that anymore. Now that I think about it, that would cause a significant decrease in my entertainment and probably cause some people to unsub, but who cares about that? I could make a good thumbnail out of that. A title too. ‘Dream finally gets a house’– Of course, you’d have to move out first–”
The cup almost slipped from Dream’s lax fingers, and he didn’t try to catch it. His breath hitched. So this was it then. This is when Techno told him to leave and never come back. He’d been so absolutely useless even since they’d brought him to the Arctic Commune, and now he was reaping the consequences of that. Techno realized that he was just dead-weight, just there to drag them down, pointless, a liability, not worth the effort to keep around.
Dream being there just put Technoblade and the rest of the Syndicate in danger. The server was going to come for him eventually, and they all knew it. Techno’s reputation could only keep them away for so long.
Dream knew this was coming. He just didn’t expect it to be so subtle, so polite. He didn’t expect to care this much. He didn’t expect to not want to leave. He knew it was the best think he could do, what he had to do, what he needed to do keep the Plan going. For all the sacrifices he made to be worth it. He knew he needed to leave before he was forced out, so that he could leave on his own terms and no one else’s, but he couldn’t bring himself to do it.
Dream couldn’t hear anything besides his own thoughts. He couldn’t hear a single think that Techno said. He kept thinking, and he only sunk deeper the longer he kept thinking.
Suddenly, Technoblade was there, snapping his fingers under Dream’s nose. “Hey, you there, buddy? It would be really cringe if I broke you out of prison just for you to die on me. If you wanted to do that, you should’ve done it in the first week. Now it’s just weird.”
Dream scowled and leaned away from him. “I’m fine. Just…just thinking.”
Techno rolled his eyes. “Aren’t we all,” he commented. He paused and lowered his voice. “It was something I said, wasn’t it?”
Dream nodded, just a little bit. “I got worried that you were going to kick me out.”
“I’d never do that,” was Techno’s instant response. “Sorry, Teletubby, but that’s not happening. We’re roomies now, and I’m not going to do anything to change that. You can leave if you want, but I’d never make you.”
Dream smiled faintly. It hurt a little. “Thanks. It helps.” The mug, still held loosely between his fingers, helped warm his hands. He was happy he didn’t drop it.

I think my favourite type of headcannons are the ones which are entirely too specific, its an image in your brain that when shared others can picture it too.
Tommy
Wanted to learn how to fight with a sword like techno so forced techno to teach him but got so excited they had to force him down to a broom so he couldn't hurt anyone
Used to sit on a field in L'Manburg and make flower crown for everyone, the details of it correlated to how much he liked you
As a child he had an affinity for climbing; trees, walls, people. As the only avian in the house who couldn't fly he learnt any way to try and get on the same level as others
He and Tubbo gave each other braids when they where 15 as a way so solidify their friendship and commect them as brothers
Phil
Has a crow watching each one of his kids at all times to keep an eye on them
As angel of death he is fully aware of how long people have spent in limbo, when Wilbur died he kept track of every year and lit a candle to remember him on his death anniversary
Kristen lives in the void beneath bedrock and can't spend much time in the overworld so Phil spends alot of time in strongholds talking into the one way portal to let Kristen know how well her sons are doing
Similar to some cultures braids are really important to avains, Phil has braids from the day he married and one for each of his kids, from either the day they where born or the day they where adopted
After killing Wilbur he cut the second longest braid off and placed it in a box of items from Wills childhood. A pair of tiny socks, a yellow bandana and a folder of sheet music
Techno
Being a conduit for the blood god caused a lot of mental damage as a kid, often resulting in a mute Techno, so the whole sbi family learnt sign language for these moments
Apart from his family the only other person who has braided his hair was Ranboo, he got really attached to that kid and they used to absentmindedly play with Techno's hair during Syndicate meetings
Loves reading all kinds of book, surprisingly to most his favourite genre is romance, the beauty of true love and loving someone wholely spoke to his soul
All of his jewellery is gold, some parts of his piglin culture always stayed with him
Tubbo
Scars from the festival also included becoming partially deaf and blind on that side, but he handled it well due to his early leaning of sign language
Forced Wilbur to teach him how to play piano and it became a way the two bonded, just playing songs in Wilbur's bedroom
Once tried to bonk someone as a greeting with his horns like rams do and gave Tommy a concusion
The compass Ghostbur gave him had lengths of a red bandana he used to wear in the early days of L'Manburg, Ghostbur had found the red and green bandana in the ruins of a blown up city

it’s taking me a while to write and draw stuff cause of the injury i’ve been talking about and it making me feel like my brain has been replaced with a towel filled with piss so take some creature tommy au headcanons in the meantime (i would read the rest of the au for context also these are long so i apologize especially the third one)
tw: vore for the third headcanon, mentions of hard vore (none happen), and general mostly non-descriptive violence
-Tubbo still constantly checks in with how Tommy’s doing through Wilbur, even though he doesn’t want anything to do with him in person. Wilbur occasionally lets Tommy know that Tubbo is concerned about his well-being, and Tommy would be lying if he said that it didn’t make him feel a bit bad, but he’s more so just confused as to why Tubbo cares. After all, he’s the one who almost killed and permanently maimed the borrower, what does he gain from checking in on Tommy? Why doesn’t he want him dead? But turns out, Tubbo is aware of how badly the lab fucked Tommy up after Wil told him, and is cheering his human friend on from the sidelines in his mission to help Tommy change for the better. And once Tommy does change and see borrowers as people, Tubbo will be the first one to congratulate him and teach him about proper borrower culture. As for now, though, even if Tubbo doesn’t want to be near him, he’s glad that Tommy has someone who cares about him and who he feels comfortable with.
-Wilbur invited his tiny friend, Jack, over to his house and had completely forgotten about Tommy until he and Jack got there. Tommy introduces himself and Jack is immediately off-put when Tommy starts making a lot of comments about how good he smells and how he wonders if he tastes as good, and Wilbur is fucking terrified. This is far enough along that Tommy and Wilbur get along really well, and Tommy genuinely cares about Wilbur and doesn’t want to disappoint him (though he’d be hard pressed to admit it). So he won’t kill Jack for Wil’s sake, even though he really wants to, but that doesn’t stop him from making not-so-subtle remarks about how he wants to eat Jack. So Wil is high strung all night and Jack is just really really confused cause he assumes Tommy is a normal borrower.
-All of the creature lab borrowers were made stomach acid resistant, and whenever the creatures would disobey or fail at something, the scientists would nom them as punishment. Tommy nonchalantly mentions once that he can’t be harmed by stomach acids, so later when one of Wilbur’s friends comes over with a borrower, Wilbur panics, knowing Tommy hadn’t eaten yet that way. So, he noms Tommy, and this is the first time Tommy shows actual fear towards Wil. He’s generally very deadpan and sarcastic, but he’s getting bad traumatic flashbacks from the lab, so he panics and shifts, trying to claw his way out of Wil. Wil can’t get him out now cause he’s too big but Tommy can’t reason enough through his panic to realize that Wilbur is practically begging him to shrink back down so he can let him out. Tommy eventually passes out from exhaustion and fear and shrinks and Wil spits him out immediately. Tommy wakes up about an hour later, and Wilbur isn’t home. And he doesn’t get home that day. For the first time in his life, Tommy is left fully alone all night, and he’s only getting more and more worried. As much as he pretends to be entirely soulless, he does genuinely care about Wil, and he’s devastated to think that Wilbur abandoned him, even though he knows that’s an irrational thought. Wil eventually does get home at about noon the next day, and Tommy is all over him with questions, half worried and half angry that Wil would let him think he was abandoned. But that anger dissipates pretty quickly when he learns that in his panic, he caused some major internal bleeding for Wil, and he had to go to the hospital to make sure none of his internal organs were damaged by Tommy’s claws. He was mostly fine, but the doctors kept him overnight anyway to make sure he wouldn’t get worse. Wil still wasn’t fully better, and was still mostly bedridden, but had argued against anymore time in the hospital cause he was genuinely worried about Tommy after the kind of ptsd flashback he had. Tommy actually feels really really bad about this, and decides that maybe he owes it to Wilbur to be a bit nicer after doing that to him. Tommy still doesn’t fully let his guard down, and he isn’t automatically more genuine, but he starts to open up about what he went through at the lab, and lets Wilbur know how much it means to him that he’s been there for him. Wilbur thinks that suffering a little internal bleeding was maybe worth it. •adding on to this, Tommy sleeps in his creature form curled up like a cat on Wil’s chest from this point on.
-Wilbur mostly works from home, but whenever he has to leave, Tommy stays home. Tommy was never left alone at the lab and doesn’t know what to do with himself, so he just kinda runs around. Wil comes home early once to see Tommy doing parkour like six feet above the ground (well over a high enough height to kill him) so Wilbur decides that it’s time to give Tommy a hobby. He buys him a phone so at the very least he can entertain himself with youtube, but teaches him about gardening and music. Tommy especially loves listening to Wilbur play guitar. Also Wilbur gives Tommy coca cola for the first time after he sees that Tommy may have a blood sugar problem that the lab just ignored and he gets addicted fast, partially cause he likes it a lot and partially cause oh this is what if feels like to go long periods of time without feeling like you’re gonna pass out.
-Tommy hoards blankets and makes himself little beds with them when he needs a nap. Wilbur has a lot of blackmail photos. Ranboo gets all of these photos and has a separate photo album on his phone for them titled “Wil’s weird cat.” In fact, Ranboo made a collage of all the weirdest and most embarrassing (aka adorable but embarrassing to Tommy) ones, printed and framed it, and gave it to Will. It’s been hanging in his living room for over a month and Tommy has yet to notice it.

…I really need some c!Dream fluff after that finale. Baby wants his friends… he did everything for his friends — he made a prison specifically for himself to be placed with conditions of isolation and starvation from the outset, he underwent three months of daily torture that were so horrible they gave him permanent memory issues and led to a deterioration so bad it ended up showing in the walls of the prison itself, he killed and revived and killed and revived and killed and revived himself again and again and again — and somewhere along the line he lost everything to the point where he kept going forward even after he forgot why he was doing it… c!Dream was going to reset the server and he was so desperate because he had nothing left but the plan to reset the server that he paradoxically forgot the whole reason why he was going to do it… *sob*
…Comfort tickles, mayhaps? The nuke failed, the nuke didn’t hit the right place, whatever — c!Tommy leads them out of the prison and somehow helps c!Dream reconcile with everyone he lost along the way… lee!Dream, lers!George, Sapnap, Sam, Quackity, all his old friends? Pure fluff? Happy ending? …Please?
Ok ok ok ok m; first off. you summed up every feeling i have towards this omfg it’s the most tragic thing in the entire world omg img.
please everyone feel free to add concept and hcs to this, we all need happy ending alternatives until season 2 starts omfg
concept (smp): everything is pog edition (under cut):
🦙🦙🦙…
dream, tommy and punz clamber out of the prison. tommy is staring up at the sky, desperately trying to find the missile. he instead finds tubbo and jack. tubbo and jack explain that the missile malfunctioned mid air, and is in fact floating in the ocean behind them.
they look and see that the missile is in fact in the ocean behind them.
tommy explains that dream and him have realised their differences, and confirms that they no longer want to slaughter everyone. they all cheer, and decide to throw a beach party.
word spreads fast that tommy and dream are finally getting along, and many people show up to the party. bbh and the other prison guards make playful banter with dream. quackity shows up and makes a joke about the torture, dream laughs and puts him in a headlock as a joke.
they play beach volleyball, they eat ham sandwiches, they watch the sunset across the glimmering ocean. kinoko kingdom members show up, they all shake dreams hand in a truce. sapnap shakes dream hand and lets him know that he’s going to keep his eye on him though. he jabs dream in the ribs as a warning. dream is so happy about it.
george and dream talk. they hug. george murmurs that he’s sorry for not visiting dream, dream jokes that he wouldn’t have visited him either. sapnap joins the hug and once again warns dream that he’s keeping his eye on him. no funny business. dream yelps when sap prods him in the side again, george thinks it’s hilarious and starts poking him too. the dream team have their first tickle fight since the community house days.
dream gets to meet tina. tina straight away dismisses any comments about the fact that dream is scary, she offers to braid his hair. it’s all sandy from his previous tussle. she weaves through some flowers and tells dream that it suits him nicely. dream isn’t sure how to react to such kindness and hides himself behind his mask.
tina braids tommys hair too. tommy giggles when tina brushes over his ears and neck. dream thinks it’s cute and interrupts the braid, pulling tommy into a behind hug and tickling his tum and ribs until tommy admits that he’s ticklish. when he finally does they don’t move. they just lie there and watch all their friends playing in the moonlight, the silhouette of the floating nuke and prison looming in the background. it looks far less menacing than tommy once thought. dream didn’t realise how much he had missed hearing his friend’s all laugh
for once in a very long time. they were all content, and they were all friends.

A Patchwork Powder Keg - Ch 9 of 14
Tubbo cleans up more of Schlatt's mess. Quackity tries to help him.
[CW: hostage situations, child endangerment, referenced past abuse, just generally bad vibes.]

Ch 10
Mafia AU masterpost
~ Tubbo & Quackity ~
"You're not a bad person, you know."
Tubbo looks over at him in the driver’s side.  “Am I not?”
Quackity keeps his eyes on the road, mulling it over.  He doesn’t want to lie to the kid.  “No worse than the rest of us.  Better, in fact, in a lot of ways.”
“That’s… that’s not comforting,” Tubbo sinks lower in his seat.  Tubbo has been to far too many hostage exchanges in his young life.  Normally, he’d attended feeling a bit like a hostage himself.  He thinks he’d prefer that to whatever he’s going there as now.
“Yeah.  These people are gonna get their families back,” Quackity nods, still trying to focus on the road.  He’s nervous too, and he’s worried if he looks over at Tubbo he’ll know it.  “Is Jack gonna be there?”
“No.  No, I didn’t want him to…” Tubbo stops.  He feels nauseous.  “He doesn’t know about the hostages.  Or that I… I didn’t let them go right away.  Maybe I shouldn’t keep it from him, I just– I don’t want him to–” Tubbo doesn’t know how to defend himself.  He shifts restlessly.  He feels like he should be used to a gun under his arm, but the metal still digs in, uncomfortable and unnatural.
“That’s okay, Tubbo.  I made sure we’d have enough people there to watch our backs.  They’re not– I mean, they’re not good people, obviously.  But…” Quackity doesn’t know how to explain.  Schlatt’s followers always had an edge to them, a selfishness rooted in survival, but they didn’t always use that to be vicious, to try and dominate a room.  These are the kinds of people irritated by the immorality of keeping hostages, the kind of people who wouldn’t kill a kid without reason, and who wouldn’t consider trying to take over a crumbling mob to be a reason.  Maybe Quackity shouldn’t put his faith into something so superficial, but those men he tended to mark out by whether or not they spoke to him.  Properly spoke to him, not just joining in when Schlatt teased him or trying to tell him what to do.  The ones that treated Quackity like a piece of furniture, there was a trend to that sort of behavior.  The two who had tried to attack Tubbo at the last meeting, he wasn’t surprised it had been them.  That wasn’t all of them, though.  A few even respected him, as a lawyer, not as someone who could whisper in Schlatt’s ear enough to get someone shot.  He doesn’t think that’ll do the job in consoling Tubbo.  “They’ll do their jobs.  Nothing more, nothing less, okay?”
“Got it.”
“And you’re sure you want to… to be there for all of them?  If you want, Tubbo, you can always go home and I will make sure it’s handled, alright?” Quackity glances over at him.
“No,” Tubbo says sharply.  “No,” he tries to level his tone.  “I have to be there.  Just– I have to make sure this gets done, gets done properly.  And maybe, I dunno,” Tubbo stares out at the dark city streets, icy rain coming down in scattered patches.  “Maybe apologize to them…”
“No, you can’t–” Quackity sighs.  “Already this is gonna make you look weak.  I’m not saying don’t do it, but their families are gonna be alive, that’s– Let that be enough.  Trust me, man.  This is the best we can do.”
“Alright, fine!” Tubbo snaps.  “Fine, I won’t apologize to them.”
Silence, the repetitive sound of the windshield wipers going back and forth.  Quackity almost wants to apologize to Tubbo for all of this, but he holds back.  Tubbo chose this, and he deserves to hold onto that, the pride and the guilt of it all.  Tubbo needs to be strong, not pitied.
“Come on,” Quackity stops outside of the place.
“This is–” Tubbo frowns, staring at the building.  “This is just a house.”
“Uh, yeah,” Quackity gets out of the car, confused by Tubbo’s surprise.  “Did you think we just kept them in a hole somewhere?”
“Well, actually.  Um.  Yeah,” Tubbo doesn't have a good answer.
“Yeah,” Quackity doesn’t have to think too hard on it.  The standards for J “I’ll chain you to a radiator if you try to leave me” Schlatt are abysmally low.  “Yeah, fair enough…”
Quackity heads up toward the front door, Tubbo trailing behind him.  Quackity rings the bell once, knocks twice.  The door opens a crack.  “Hey, HQ.  Good to see you without the old ball and chain,” it opens, a large man nods the two of them into a dark and dingy living room.  “And you actually brought the kid.  Didn’t know if you were serious or not.”
“That kid is your Boss now, so watch it, Morelli,” Quackity shoves the man lightly as he enters.  The room smells of cigarette smoke and mildew.  Better than a hole, but not exactly five stars.
The man, Morelli, eyes Tubbo doubtfully.  “Right.  The Boss, got it,” he sounds weary, merely humoring the idea.  “And you sure keeping things so light is a good idea?  I mean, you got me, Ambrosini downstairs with the, uh,” he glances at Tubbo, “guests, and…” Morelli frowns, as Quackity is looking very deliberately at Tubbo, and the man takes it as indication to do the same.  “And, uh, we also got Hackman watching the back door,” he still glances between Tubbo and Quackity, as if unsure who he should be directing his questions to.
“That should be fine.  We don’t need a big show of force, we’re just going to get this done quickly and quietly, got it?” Tubbo looks up at him, trying to seem unintimidated despite his height.  He tries to sound like he’s giving an order, like Morelli should have a reason to look to him as a leader.  He has no idea if he’s accomplishing that or not.
“Right, right,” Morelli nods, still looking unimpressed.  ”And HQ here told me we’re doing the exchange here.  Y’know, if we do that, that means a bunch of civilians are gonna know where this place is.”
“Oh,” Tubbo tries to puzzle out why the man is telling him this.
“It doesn’t matter, Morelli,” Quackity says.  “This is gonna be the last exchange.”  Quackity glances to Tubbo, like he wants to offer guidance, but he doesn’t want there to be any impression that he’s telling Tubbo what to do.
Morelli catches on to Tubbo’s confusion, explaining and having the kindness to frame it almost as a request.  “I only say that, Boss, ‘cause after this, we shouldn’t use this house anymore, right?  Any one of these people could come back here with a vendetta, at the very least pass along the info to the pigs.  You’ll have to ditch it.”
Boss.  Tubbo still isn’t used to that.  He doesn’t like it.  It’s what they called his father.  It’s not like they can respectably call him by his first name, though, and he lacks the more impressive titles of the city.  Nothing like the Crowfather, the Blood God, the Godfather, or the Devil, although Bad’s name tended to do the job on its own, anything demonic more a product of rumor for the civilians to gossip about, which is fair considering the Badlands’ mysterious reputation.  What is Tubbo meant to be?  Bee boy?  The only names he has that are worth anything are the kinder ones given to him by his friends, and those do not a mob boss make.
“Right,” Tubbo remembers he’s meant to reply.  “It doesn’t matter, as Quackity said.  This is just… we’re cleaning up my f– JSchlatt’s mess.  Nothing more.”
Morelli doesn’t offer criticism, nor praise, a neutral, if not slightly critical, “got it,” before he proceeds.  “Well, you said you wanted to handle all of ‘em, we’ve got four.  First one you’ll probably know, HQ.  It’s McGill’s husband,” he offers explanation to Tubbo, “white collar lawyer with money to burn.  The guy works fast, we’ve had him, what, four days?  He got together 15k like that,” he snaps his fingers.
Quackity stops in the hall, “shit.”
Tubbo feels immediate panic.  “What?  What?!”
Quackity grimaces.  “I really shouldn’t be seen by him.  Or his husband.  I actually work with him, y’know?  That complicates things.”
“Does it?” Tubbo stares at him, panic rising, feeling like his big brother has just decided to ditch him on his first day of school.  “I mean–” He laughs nervously.  “It’s not like he’s gonna tattle to someone.  Or– Or like he’d dare bring it up to you at work, right?”
“Honestly, Tubbo,” Quackity does his best not to sound pitying.  “It’s more out of kindness to them than concern for me.  How’d you take a living reminder of probably the worst few days of these peoples’ lives running into you at the water cooler every day, y’know?  Trust me, man, it’s better for all of us if I hang back.  I will be there for you for all the rest.  I swear, but… it’s gonna save them a lot of future hurt if I’m just out of the room, okay?”
Tubbo nods.  He understands, even if he hates it.  He also has to remember just because this one man hasn’t tried to kill him yet doesn’t mean he can show weakness.  Already his reliance on Quackity is dangerous.  “Okay.  Okay, what about the others?” He refocuses on Morelli.
Morelli glances between the two of them, still doubtful and clearly under the impression that Quackity is in charge and is letting Tubbo play along.  “Next group is two for one.  Kids, like, probably not in grade school yet.  They’re twins, and you know how Buggs is, saw it as an opportunity, they were both there, so he took them both.”
“Two kids,” Tubbo repeats.  “And… Buggs.  I know that name.  Quackity, why do I know that name?”
Quackity at least shares his look of distaste.  “You might know him better as sector eight.  He ran one of Schlatt’s districts.  He, uh.  Well, he’s the one Jack shot in the gut when he pulled a knife on you.”
Tubbo nods, satisfied by the thought.  “Good.”
Morelli, whatever assessment he’s making of the two of them, he keeps it to himself.  “The Boss– I mean, Schlatt is– or, was trying to charge ‘em double, ‘cause there’s two of ‘em.  Dunno what kind of money they got, some family with a mansion on the Upper East Side.  Schlatt said thirty thousand.”
Tubbo nods.  He feels nauseous again.  He can see the scene play out in his head, one where Tubbo hadn’t been brave enough.  Some poor bastard running on his grandfather’s oil money showing up with 20k instead of 30, and Schlatt doing what he always does, first a disappointed sigh, then:  “I’m a reasonable guy, don’t I look reasonable?”  He’d savor in the relief of desperate people before mangling their hopes.   “I’ll give you one of them back, and take the rest as interest while you get together the other 15k.  I’ll even let you pick which one you take home.”
Tubbo tries to keep himself steady.  He is going to fix this.  They all go home tonight, and this never happens again.  “And the last one?”
“Don’t even worry about it, Boss, it’s not a person,” the man shrugs.
Tubbo stares at him.  “What the fuck is it then, a dog?”
“No, no, it’s pictures.  Some guy caught cheating on his wife.  He pays up the 5k, we burn them,” he explains.
“Oh, right,” Tubbo is relieved.  Not only is he relieved, he’s actually intrigued.  No more hostages, but Tubbo thinks blackmailing adulterers might not bother him too much as a source of income.  He’s also doing his best not to think about the prices listed.  Why is evidence of an affair worth a third of a person?  He doesn’t want to waste any more time dissecting a dead man’s cruel logic.
“Alright, Morelli, you and Ambrosini can stay with the boss for the first exchange, right?  I’ll watch the back door with Hackman,” Quackity says.  He pauses.  “Actually, real quick, Boss, can I have a word with you?”
Tubbo feels more uneasy now.  “Y-Yeah, sure.”
Quackity looks around for somewhere to disappear to, nodding toward a bathroom that smells like mold and sewage.  He shuts the door behind them, the only light coming from a few bulbs still glowing above the sink.
“What is it?” Tubbo is already so stressed and the night has hardly started.  “Big Q, what?”
Quackity thinks over his words carefully.  “Okay, so.  Cops don’t show up to these things often.  And when they do, it doesn’t usually end badly for us.  I mean, that’s why it’s the kind of business Schlatt dealt with in person.  Because, well–” Quackity hesitates.
“–Because we have hostages, I know,” Tubbo finishes for him.  “No one is gonna call the cops with that kind of incentive, yes, Quackity, this is all old news to me.  What are you on about, then?”
“And we’re not killing hostages,” Quackity states the obvious.
“Yes?  I mean, have I not been clear on that?”
“No, it’s–” Quackity sighs.  “I doubt it’ll happen, but Tubbo, if the cops show up tonight, if the cops showed up any other night, it usually went, well…” Quackity knows he doesn’t need to explain.  Tubbo had even been in attendance on occasion.
Tubbo is quiet for a moment, staring at the dusty sink.  “I’m not doing that.”
“I know, I know,” Quackity says quickly.  If someone tried to bring the cops into things, protocol was to close ranks, keep the hostage close, a bullet in their leg as a warning, and once they were far enough, a bullet between their eyes for daring to snitch.
“Okay, if the cops show up, we abandon ship, alright?  We leave the hostages, take whatever money we already have, and we try not to get shot.  Big Q, that is the best I have got,” Tubbo is ready to defend himself.
“Alright, it’s your call to make, Tubbo.  You should tell these guys that too, because they will try to grab the hostages first.”
Tubbo nods.  “Fine.  That’s fine.  I can do that.”
“Alright, good,” Quackity goes to leave, pausing once more.  “You ready?”
“Let’s just get this over with,” Tubbo pushes past him and back out into the hall.  “Right, Quackity, I will have Morelli fetch you when the first exchange is done. And if the cops show, we all disappear. No hostages come with us. Are we clear?”
“Got it, Boss.”
Morelli looks between the two of them, as if trying to gauge what their little aside had been.  “Right, well.  Hackman says there’s a car parked out back, driver is just waiting there.”
“We’ll go to them,” Tubbo starts walking before he can talk himself out of this.
Morelli nods, going to a side door which seemed to lead to the basement.  “Ambro!  Come on, bring up McGill’s.”
“I’m coming, I’m coming,” a voice replies.
Tubbo steps out onto the concrete stoop, torn between feeling comforted and unnerved by Morelli standing right behind him.  He does his best not to shiver, the freezing rain coming down heavier now.
“Get out of the car!  Step over here where we can see you,” Tubbo calls out.  It’s hard to see through the rain and the glow of the headlights and Tubbo is doing his best to bury the panicked thought that a cop is about to appear from the gloom.
Out of the corner of Tubbo’s eye, another vaguely familiar face drags a man gagged and bound out of the house, but Tubbo tries to keep his focus on the damp, petrified figure walking forward, a briefcase at his side.
“Oh, thank god, he’s–” the man gets close enough to see his husband’s face.  “Okay, okay, I have your money.  How do I… what do I do?”  If the lawyer is puzzled by this exchange being managed by an eighteen year old, he doesn’t say anything.
“Toss it over,” Tubbo says.  He manages not to flinch when the briefcase makes a sharp thunk against the steps.  “Morelli, if you don’t mind.”  Tubbo used to do the counting.  Now it’s his job to remain stoic while others dig the case out of the mud for him.
Morelli steps underneath the overhang, half inside the house, before opening the case.  Tubbo glances back at neat rows of cash.  “Ambrosini.  Let him go.”
“Boss, we’re not gonna count it?” Morelli frowns.
“No.  We’re getting this over with.  Ambrosini,” Tubbo gives the other man a cold stare.
The man, tall, scarred, and with an expression which gives nothing away as to how much he actually cares about Tubbo’s orders, shoves the hostage forward, the man hits the dirt, unable to catch himself with his hands bound.  Tubbo winces.  He hadn’t wanted that to happen.
McGill runs to his side, and Tubbo looks away.  It’s painful enough to hear the man offering soft reassurances to his returned partner.
“Ambrosini.  Do you have a knife?” Tubbo says instead.
“What?  Please, please that’s all the money we have, please–” McGill is desperate in an instant.
“No one is getting hurt tonight, do you hear me?” Tubbo says to him firmly.  “Ambrosini, hand the man your knife so he can cut him loose.  Now, please.”
Ambrosini, somewhat reluctantly, offers McGill a pocket knife.  The lawyer takes it with shaking hands.  “Thank you.  Just, thank you.”
It takes Tubbo a moment to realize the man is talking to him.  “What?” Tubbo says sharply, finally looking back at the two of them.
“I-I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to offend, I just– I’m sorry–” the man is a stammering mess, offering the knife back, his husband now free to cling to him.
Tubbo doesn’t understand it.  Or rather, he does understand it on some level and he hates it.  “Go.  Get out of here.  Forget about all of this, got it?”
A frantic nod, and the two of them rush back to their car.
Tubbo stays until they drive away, regardless of the rain.  “Come on.  Let’s step back inside until the second lot get here.”
Quackity is waiting just inside, pacing the kitchen.  “All went okay?”  He stops on Tubbo’s return.
Tubbo nods.  “Yeah, yeah it was fine,” he doesn’t elaborate.  “Morelli, when are the next ones supposed to arrive?”
“At twelve thirty, so.  Give ‘em 20 more minutes,” the man shrugs.  He laughs.  “Folks are usually on time for this type of thing.”
Tubbo nods, leaning against the counter, arms folded over his chest.  The third man in the house, Hackman, is set up at the back window with a rifle, although currently he’s more occupied staring at Tubbo.  Tubbo’s impulse is to look away, to ignore it until it stops or until he has to dodge a confrontation.  That cannot be his impulse anymore.
Tubbo stares back.  The man doesn’t stop.  “What is it you want, then?”
Quackity stares between the two of them but he doesn’t say anything.
Hackman shrugs.
“Is there a problem?” Tubbo says.  No reply.  “Because if there is, why don’t you just go on and say it.  We’re just waiting here, aren’t we?”
Quackity is doing some calculating.  He’d chosen these people because he thought they were less likely to turn to violence on a whim, but that didn’t mean he trusted them all.  If one of them tried to turn on Tubbo, would the others follow?  Quackity considers himself to be on friendly terms with these three, but asking them to follow a teenager is still a risk.
The man sighs, setting his rifle on the bench along the window, leaning against it.  “Not a problem, really.  Just… considering my life choices.  All the shit I put into this place, into turning it into a profitable machine, and I’m just expected to sit back while you tear it apart?  Fucks sake, did you expect us to be happy?”
“Just because I’m not fond of getting my money selling back children doesn’t mean I’m going to destroy it.  And if that kind of business is a dealbreaker for you, I’m not stopping you from leaving,” Tubbo says icily.  “Is that where you’re intending on making your stand?  Being upset that I am no longer allowing you all to kidnap innocent people?”
No reply.
“And if you want to talk about profitable, about running this place into the ground, do you have any idea what kind damage Schlatt was doing purely through his pathetic habits?  If this place is set to burn, we were doomed anyways, and that is his fault.  So, forgive me for trying to salvage what’s left,” Tubbo sits back, arms folded over his chest, expression not one of a petulant child, but of someone pushed too far and refusing to be pushed anymore.
A nod from Hackman, before he returns to staring out the window.
“So, what are you planning on doing then, Boss?” Morelli asks.  His tone remains neutral, but there’s still something like a warning behind his tone.
Tubbo has thought about it.  Of course he has, but he doesn’t know if any of it will be good enough for these people.  “I hope you all understand, that the immediate future will be spent cleaning up Schlatt’s mess.  I meant that.  His debts, his negligence, and at present, his hostages.  It’s late.  You all aren’t going to question me tonight.  I have no intention of leaving you all in the dark, but for now, focus on your jobs, got it?”
Tubbo is still getting used to leaving no room for argument.  He doesn’t know how to enforce himself.  The only way Schlatt had was through immediate violence.  Tubbo knows he cannot forgo violence altogether, but he doesn’t intend to use it as a catch-all solution.
The three men exchange looks.  It makes Quackity uneasy, but they don’t say anything, and refocus on their waiting game.  Quackity had done his best choosing this company, but there is no safe way about this.  If the three of them all agreed to, they could kill Tubbo and Quackity easily, take the hostage money, and try to insert themselves in Schlatt’s place.  Quackity knows it would fall apart in a matter of weeks, the three of them at each other’s throats for power or disagreement, but in that situation, he and Tubbo would still be dead.  He’s relying solely on the three men not knowing if the others will follow through, not trusting the way they might grab for power.  Considering they had all spent a fair amount of time working under Schlatt, Quackity thinks he can rely on that distrust.
Tubbo tries to remain stoic.  He can hear his heart racing in his ears.  He’s not good at talking.  He’s surviving only because he’s been preparing for people to doubt him since he was first decided to kill Schlatt years ago.
Tubbo’s fear sparks and burns for a different reason.  There is a knock at the front door.  Everyone straightens up, Tubbo looking at Quackity with his eyes wide.
Morelli has his pistol drawn, approaching the front of the building, looking around the curtain.
“For fucks sake– it’s the other pickup.  The Walters.  Some hysterical looking lady and a dickhead in a suit,” Morelli steps back, tension fading.  “They were told to go around back.”
Quackity steps up beside him, confirming.  “Okay, we’re not doing this on the front fucking porch, have them come in.”
“Ambrosini, get the– get them,” Tubbo says, heading into the front room.  They’re almost through dealing with living hostages.  They’re almost there.
“Does someone wanna help me get them upstairs?  They’re little guys, and they’re skittish as shit, so if we wait for them to climb up we’ll be here all night.  Not little enough I can carry ‘em both, though,” Ambrosini says.
Hackman’s job is watching the back, Morelli is going to let in the parents, and Quackity doesn’t indicate he’s going to follow, he’s focused on the pair on the front porch.
“I can,” Tubbo says.  He follows Ambrosini’s towering figure downstairs.  He’s still shaking.  He hadn’t wanted to go downstairs.  Tubbo had been set on avoiding the basement.  He knows it’s cowardly and selfish, but he’d wanted to avoid having to think about where these people had been kept.
The basement is dark and unfinished, two mattresses on the floor, blankets thrown over them.  There is a space heater struggling along in the corner, but it’s still cold.
Tubbo sees blocks and a toy truck.  He stops.  He thinks he might be sick.  Those are his toys, or they were.  Tubbo had assumed his father threw them out.  This is so much worse.  He doubts it was his father’s idea to do this, but somewhere along the line some of Schlatt’s men had asked to take them for this purpose and this is where they had remained.  He doesn’t know how nor does he think it makes sense, but nothing has made him feel more complicit than that sight.
“Come on, boys, you ready to go home?  Your mom is here to pick you up,” Ambrosini is all business, unfazed by the sight.  Two kids, probably no older than four, are sleeping side by side on one of the mattresses.
You’re sending them home.  You’re fixing this.
Tubbo doesn’t feel much relief.  He wants to ask Ambrosini if they had been alone down here, how long, who had fed them, what they had eaten.  He doesn’t think he can.
“Hey, buddy,” Tubbo’s voice his hoarse and weak and he knows he shouldn’t seem weak in front of Ambrosini, but if the man judges him for it he’ll shoot him the moment the kids are gone.
The kid stares at him, he doesn’t speak.  He glances at Ambrosini and it takes Tubbo a moment to realize he probably trusts the man more.  Okay.  That makes Tubbo more inclined to let him live.
“Come on, your mum and dad are here,” Tubbo offers his hand.  The boy accepts, and Tubbo picks him up.  Ambrosini picks up the other, and Tubbo watches him carefully.  He’s gentle and well-versed.
“He’s gonna slip down if you don’t support him with your other arm,” Ambrosini nods to Tubbo.
“Oh.  Got it,” Tubbo adjusts and lets Ambrosini head upstairs first.
Tubbo winces as he hears a woman’s panicked voice from the front room.
He hears Quackity’s voice.  “Wait here just a minute, alright–”
“Where are they?!  Where–” The woman from the front steps is in tears, but she pulls herself together miraculously when she actually sees her children.  “Oh, thank god–” She throws a duffle bag quite aggressively at Quackity.
“Hold on, honey, we don’t–” her husband tries to slow her down but she’s already grabbed one of her children from Ambrosini.
“Take him,” Tubbo says, voice still too weak, offering the other toddler to the father.  He takes him immediately.
“Are we…” the man stares at the other men present, gaze brushing right over Tubbo.  “Are we free to leave?”
And of course, those present look at Tubbo to give the word.  Tubbo doesn’t know if he can.  He’s focused mostly on breathing.
“Yes, we’re done here.  Go home,” Quackity sees it and speaks for him.
That’s all the man needs, he begins to pull his wife toward the door, but she hasn’t moved.
“What about him?” The woman is staring at Tubbo.
Quackity is defensive, stepping in front of Tubbo.  “What about him?”
“Who’s coming for him?”
Oh.
Tubbo wants to explain.  He doesn’t think he can.  He’s getting stuck again.  It’s been a while since he’s gotten stuck like this.
“He’s probably here because someone is coming for him, now come on, darling, we should go,” the husband pulls on her arm more urgently now.  “We need to get the boys home.”
The woman continues, ignoring her husband.  “We could– If you give us a few days.  Is someone coming for him?”
Quackity knows Tubbo is stuck, he doesn’t expect him to be able to speak right now.  “He’s– He’s not a hostage, okay?  He’s fine.”
She clearly doesn’t believe him.  “You don’t have to lie, if someone is coming for him, fine, but if not, if we can give you the money, why wouldn’t you let him go?  Son, is someone coming to get you?”
Tubbo realizes she won’t take a word from anyone else.  He nods.
“Are you lying to me?”
Tubbo shakes his head.  The woman gives one last critical look to the others present.  She’s debating whether she needs to keep pushing.
“He’s fine, okay?  I promise you, nothing bad is gonna happen to him while I’m here.  You need to go,” Quackity is firm, but she seems to at least trust he isn’t lying to her.
They leave.
Tubbo doesn’t move.  The others present, save Quackity, seem to be waiting for something from him.
“Boss, I think the boys can handle the last exchange.  They can– They can keep the cash from the last drop, right?  The three of them, that can be their pay.  We’ll take the others and get out of here,” Quackity says.
Tubbo nods.
Quackity still holds the duffle bag.  He guides Tubbo back through the house, shoving the briefcase into his arms, trying to get him out of that house as quickly as possible.  Tubbo gets into the passenger side.  Quackity starts driving, speeding down dark streets, his own heart racing.  They reach a stop sign and Tubbo opens his door.
“The fuck are you doing, man?!” Quackity almost reaches out to grab him.
Tubbo vomits onto the pavement, wiping his mouth on his sleeve, before sitting back up and shutting the door.
“Tubbo?” Quackity says carefully, a hand still on his shoulder.
Tubbo’s hands are trembling as he drops the briefcase at his feet and manages to sign: go.
Quackity nods.  “Okay.  Okay, we’re good.  We’ll– I’ll take you home.  We’re all good, dude.”
Tubbo doesn’t respond.  Those people, the first looking at him with fear and reverence, for taking away their families and returning them, and the second, that woman looking at him like she thought she could save him.  He wants to scream, to take the fucking money and dump it all out the window, but he can’t.  So he just waits for Quackity to start driving again.

Tubbo and Techno never fully became friends, even after he had housed him temporarily when Dream broke out of prison. Tubbo had to play the game right, had to be perfect and forgiving and a little saint, just to ensure that Techno wouldn’t hurt him again. The truce didn’t last, because the moment Tubbo had discovered that Techno’s actions led to Ranboo’s death, he had stormed out of the Arctic, taking Michael with him, choosing instead to live in Eret’s castle for a while. Techno’s protection was not worth his own ignorance. Not to mention that because of him, both his and Tommy’s lives were in even more danger.
During Tubbo’s time with Eret, the two bonded more, reminiscing over L’manburg and Eret had cried when remembering their betrayal. Tubbo had shrugged and said it didn’t matter in the end because L’manburg was always doomed.
“No,” Eret said, “don’t ever say that. That was your home, Tubbo. You grew up there. You loved it and worked so hard to protect it. Even after Wilbur died, you still kept going when you shouldn’t have had to. You’re one of the toughest people on this server, and that’s extremely honorable. You’re braver than I ever was.”
After Dream was finally killed, Tubbo confronted Techno. Because if there was a hill that Tubbo was going to die on, it would be that Techno would not get the final word on the things he did. It took a few weeks of gaining his courage and swallowing his anxiety, but he finally did it.
Tubbo gave him an icy glare. “You can have your home, your dogs, your friends. You can laugh about anarchy and tearing down governments, but god forbid that I, or anyone I care about, create a government at all. No one asked you to stay in L’manburg, Techno. No one would’ve complained if you had enough of it and wanted to run off to make your little commune in the snowy woods. But no, of course not. You can’t claim ignorance about our plans on November 16th, because you were right there, you heard us. But you still got enraged over something that we were going to do anyways. And in your petty anger, you set off Withers! You shot fireworks! Do you even know how much shit I’ve gone through because of those fireworks? Can you imagine how many times I see them in my nightmares, because of you? Ah yes Technoblade, the man who bows to no one except a tyrannical dictator. I am forever half-blind and half-deaf because of you. This scar on my face is because of you. And then after we tried to make you pay consequences for your actions, you decide to team up with Dream! And you decide to take your dogs and attack us at night, before the twenty-four hours were fully up. Who cares about fairness when it’s you behind the crossbow, with your finger on the trigger? And so you and Dream ripped away mine and Tommy’s home. That was our home! We grew up there! That was the last remnant any of us had of Wilbur at the time! All of our documents, all of our homes and pets were fucking burned to ash because of you! We lost everything that night! Imagine if I took one of my nukes and blasted it straight at your home and killed your entire hound army, I don’t think you’d appreciate it that much. But see that’s the thing about you; you receive a slap on the wrist and I receive hell at my doorstep. I am not allowed to have anything, because all you’ll do is take it from me. You will walk to Snowchester with the Syndicate, and search me like I committed a literal crime instead of just trying to live in a home that I made, and then after you’ll get yourself into prison and help break Dream out because fuck morality, right? Fuck Tommy and Ranboo for ever believing in you, and fuck me for hoping you wouldn’t ever go so low as to team up with him again! All the apologies in the world will never, ever undo all the shit you did. My husband fucking died because of you, and even though he is back now, that doesn’t change that. Both me and Tommy were almost killed by Dream because of you. So you can live comfortably without a scratch on you, but I have to live with a million scars, several of which you can’t see. And the shit you did will never, ever be okay. And I can’t forgive you for it.”

big unstructured ramble about snowchester and privacy and secrets that ended up not being very well kept under the cut
the saving michael plotline frustrates me so much especially with the fact that it technically started with just a lack of rp etiquette and a joke taken too far from sapnap (and yes i still think it was a dumb joke for sapnap to have that brief obsession with killing michael) not to mention how hard it is to try and reconcile the fact that ctubbo and cranboo are most certainly meant to be read as Good Fathers yet just. let their kid be out of the house for like. i believe at least two or so months?
but because both ccs got extremely caught up in the excitement of irl streams cctubbo even straight up Forgot that michael being out of the house. was not meant to be a shocking surprise
of course if the story were to be shifted around a bit it would be fully possible for ctubbo and cranboo to have just gotten michael back from ceret and Then csam kidnaps michael from snowchester (csam having known about him due to his involvement in the michelle incident and generally having been a point of ire in cbeeduos parenting life) but in canon its Not Like That and gives a weird timeframe of ctubbo and cranboo apparently just.. not attempting to get their child back?
it sort of shines a light on something else that makes me tilt my head and its that snowchester is certainly Meant to be. isolated. and hard to get into. but at the same time because its minecraft it isnt very hard to get into and because of how certain events lined up characters who logically would never have known about snowchester if it were up to ctubbo and cranboo.. Do know about it (such as say, well. sam himself. as much as he and tubbo were buddies, as far as i remember sam only knows about snowchester because of puffy)
and then of course theres those that either forget that they would know (quackity) or know when they dont really have a reason to have known (sapnap and george) and in general its both very interesting and very weird to think about
snowchester is meant to be secure. the nukes are seemingly meant to be an unknown, rather novel thing (foolish didnt recognize them as nukes at all) and pretty secret as well. cbeeduos marriage is most definitely meant to be a secret, and as such.. michael is definitely intended to be a near complete secret within the narrative that nearly no one is meant to know about
and yet through a mix of it being hard to keep a secret in a publuc minecraft roleplay and a general lack of rp etiquette from some ccs, michael gets kidnapped and becomes known to the one character who he was meant to be a secret from the most. and not even in an exciting way. not that i really Wanted ctechno to be angry about it, but i wish there was any reaction at all other than brief surprise and then a complete lack of conversation any of it outside of brief mentions for kewl quotes
everything about snowchester is in a weird state of being both secret and not at all, and not even necessarily on purpose (though tubbo like. outright making it accessible for easy travel does make some of it On Purpose), and its just sort of weird to think about. it definitely makes Sense why theres quite a few people who know, but after some thinking about it..
it makes scenes like dream and sapnaps argument in uh. tubbos vault. seem. off? and the michael kidnapping plot is one that could have definitely been much more well executed
idk. overall just a very weird thing to think about. it all being vaguely public leads to some cool scenes and concepts, but also saddens me a bit because a lot of whats cool about snowchester is that it functions as a ghost town, quite literally after ghostboo starts haunting the mansion. its meant to be isolated, with nukes and a necromancy tower with an electric char and a secret marriage and secret child as the main family inhabiting it and big double layered walls and a small island with a grave that was never updated when the corpse came back to life
its understandable why tubbo ended up making it more accessible from the mainland and ultimately more public, but a scenario where snowchester is truly a secret, isolated place with a vaguely abandoned ghost town vibe is something i like to think about a lot

when you first joined the server you were almost immediately thrown into lore with techno’s (attempted) execution & all that
but out of canon, you became friends with a lot of people
of course phil is your internet father
what world would we be living in if he didn’t adopt you?
ever since mcc4 he’s kept tabs on you
then when you & techno really became good friends phil tried to become friends as well
in a “any friend of techno’s is a friend of mine” kind of way
phil thinks you deserve the world (you do btw) & does not deal with anyone talking shit about you
he has gone on many a rants about how the internet treats you- & other teenaged girls
he’s a mod in your chat & is fucking ruthless
mans has 0 mercy for anyone doing weird shit
he goes through ban appeals & it’s banned forever, banned forever, banned forever
he has no patience for anyone being weird about you or being mean to you
tbh you & tommy never really talked much one on one prior to the raccooninnit arc
in & out of canon you got a lot closer
tommy is a comically bad influence on you
but it’s funny bc you’re just like “no?” whenever he tries to get up to mischief with you
or you just tag along & he’ll try to pin the blame on you
(phil) stop bullying y/n, you fucking child
(tommy) Y/N IS ALSO A CHILD THIS IS DISCRIMINATION AND I’M NOT BULLYING HER IT’S HER FAULT
you & tommy are actually really good friends
when ranboo & tubbo started hanging out a lot more, tommy turned to you as another kid on the smp to be friends with
he hops in a vc w/ you during your streams & just chills
privately, you two have had many hours long calls just talking about stuff
cancel culture, the pressure of being a popular teenaged cc, how the hate you get is affecting you
y’all are really close & understand e/o really well
n e way
you’re part of the bench trio quartet
alright?
i don’t make the rules
you four are an unstoppable force of chaos
you & tubbo are wholesome in the least wholesome way possible
no i cannot describe your friendship any better than that it’s complicated everyone is confused
(tubbo) i’m going to burn down your house
(you) oh :(
(tubbo) with love :D
(you) :)
(tubbo) i am going to burn down your house tho
(you) D:
he teases you a lot & you’re just like “oh no ;(” but he would never actually do anything to upset you
he would feel so awful if he ever did & would apologize over & over for it
part of the reason he teases you so much is bc you let him
like you could easily just kill him anytime & totally own him but you don’t & that gives him a lot of power be careful
your & ranboo’s relationship consists of him being super gen z & you being concerned
(ranboo) haha bullying’s fun. i would know. i had a great childhood
(you) …you doing okay?
(ranboo) haha no *audible finger guns*
you really care about ranboo & do not let anyone speak badly about him
tommy & tubbo are too, but ranboo is such a genuinely good person & he’s open & vulnerable about it
you don’t want him getting hurt :(
you’d fight the sun for him okay :((((
& he’s super appreciative of you & is protective of you back
bc you’re so kind & soft for someone w/ such a big following & he just hates people hating on you for nothing
he has popped off on stream ranting about your antis
(ranboo) and i’d do it again
(you) boo, please, you’re gonna get canceled
(ranboo) AND I’D DO IT AGAIN
fans started doing the 3/4, 4/4 thing they do for sbi for you guys
you four are so chaotic together not even phil’s supervision can stop it
it’s mostly tommy or tubbo taking the lead w/ you & ranboo like “yay friends :D” & just doing whatever
ex.: tubbo joking that he’s going to burn down the bamboo forest, tommy agreeing to helping, them accidentally lighting some on fire, it spreading, y’all panicking, putting it out, then fleeing the scene of the crime
long distance friendship at it’s finest
& the final minor of the smp: purpled
you’re actually really good friends w/ purp
you’re comfortable w/ him & y’all can just chill & have fun & joke around whenever
he really enjoys playing bed wars w/ you
he’s made at least two bed wars youtube videos w/ you because you two play all the time together
you two are a criminally underrated duo
he would also totally brag about being friends w/ you to tiredtwt just saying
of course i can’t not mention hannah, niki, & puffy
you’re one of the girls of the smp & you will be included in the group chat where they make fun of the boys
they’re all super protective of you
like, even more than phil
if that’s possible
there was a brief period in time where nsfw mcyttwt stepped out of line with you specifically
& like yeah it’s all online, it’s all just drawings or videos or whatever, but there was just some really disturbing stuff written about you
you shouldn’t have but you read a little more than you should of & just got so scared
you called niki halfway to a panic attack just crying & scared
she calmed you down & comforted you, grounded you
let’s just say she was not pleased
“it’s one thing to sexualize me or other adults, even after they’ve said they don’t like it. it’s another to do that to a literal child. it’s disgusting. y/n called me sobbing bc she was so scared & didn’t know what to do. she is a sixteen-year-old girl; she shouldn’t have to worry about things like this!”
lots of other cc’s spoke up in your defense & those twitter users were quickly banned
now onto the most wholesome internet father-daughter duo to ever come into existence:
i’m talking about you & badboyhalo of course!
bad absolutely loves you
you don’t curse (on stream) & you just have a really wholesome vibe
you two are the same person, different fonts & it’s great
(bonus lore angst: you become good friends w/ bad in canon as well but he invites you to the red banquet where he plans to kill you, betraying you & making you join the pro-omelette side)
you become like the entire smp’s little sister
where tommy is the annoying little brother, you’re the baby sister who must be protected at all costs
seriously, even the members you’ve talked to maybe once adore you
(connor(eatspants)) y/n is so sweet. i’ve never really spoken with her but she is such a nice girl
or
(george(notfound)) she was popping off last stream. y/n was. she had like 100k viewers at one point. that’s incredible
or
((the)eret) “don’t steal from y/n, you don’t want her coming after you.” guys, i know how good y/n is at minecraft but she’s too sweet to actually canonically kill anyone
you also came to the uk when ranboo did so that’s fun
bench quartet meetup arc pog?
tommy’s been super hyped to meet you irl but he pretends it’s because he wants to prove he’s taller than you
it’s totally not because you’re like his best friend or whatever
imagine the chaos with you four streaming in one room together oh lord
the world ain’t ready for y’all to meet irl but it’s happening anyway
watch out world

This is the typa shit in hitting yall with now// Wilbur soot x reader !p !c !child reader
Pronouns used: none specified!
Warnings: death, loss, explosion?
━◦○◦━◦○◦━◦○◦━◦○◦━◦○◦━◦○◦━
╔════◈◉◈════╗
Being Wilbur soots child will include..
╚════◈◉◈════╝
𝐄𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐲 𝐋𝗺𝐚𝐧𝐛𝐮𝐫𝐠
Fundy was absolutely appalled of you
This small little toddler stealing all of his fathers affection
Wilbur adored you
He kept you very close to him
“You will come of age with our young nation”
Tommy and Tubbo wouldn’t be trusted to hold you
Tommy tried picking you up one day
Tommy dropped you that day
You would look up to Eret and Tubbo
You hated fundy as much as he hated you
Any time he was around he would scowl at you
You’d just pull his tail or “accidentally” step on it
You spent most of your time in the drug van
Accidentally drinking a couple potions
Wilbur was terrified but dealt with it okay since he had previous experience
Salmon was forbidden in the house
You’d boss around everyone burn it’d be cute babbles
Attempting to help build the wall
𝐖𝐚𝐫 𝐭𝐢𝗺𝐞..
You had your very own uniform
If you’d prefer it, you had a leather skirt
Eret would dress you up in different crowns
He kept telling you that you were a monarch in the growing
Slowly understanding and growing up to the world
The walls weren’t so protective anymore
Staying as far away from dream as possible
Using wooden swords the practice besides being fairly young
Everyone trying to keep you hidden but you were found out anyways
Sapnap saw you and Tubbo collecting flowers by the lake
Those flowers burned, and you lost your first life
𝐘/𝐧 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐛𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝗼 𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐩 𝐰𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐬𝐭 𝐟𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐚𝐩𝐧𝐚𝐩
Tubbo blamed himself all the time for it, along with the burn scar on your face
^ it wasn’t very visible but it was still there
Wilbur couldn’t handle you getting hurt
Fundy felt bad, something switched
Wilbur cried holding you in his arms for an hour once you’ve respawnrd
Fundy made sure that nobody could hurt you from now on
Except you got kidnapped
Eret tricked you to going outside the walls
George was right there to swoop you up and take you hostage in the castle
Dream loved you tho for some odd reason
He hated everyone but couldn’t hurt a child
Yet
The man just played with you until your family got there
Tommy stormed the castle and made sure that harm came onto everyone there
You got home safely and just clung onto Wilbur for dear life
𝐄𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐬 𝐁𝐞𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐥
Wilbur hated bringing you into battle
So you were with Nikki most of the time
When Nikki was busy one day
That was the day eret had planned to betray Lmanburg
You were wrapped in fundys jacket hiding on the sidelines watching as they yelled at each other
Tubbo ran to grab you when dream was ready to let out the tnt
He was determined to make sure you weren’t going to loose another life
So when you were brought to the final control room
Eret placed his crown on your head
The bodies of your dad, brother, and uncles laid down turning into dust
Blood still stained the walls
You screamed so loudly when your dad was being killed
You were taken back to the smp land for the day and brought back later
That was currently the most traumatic thing in your life besides dying
𝐄𝐧𝐝 𝗼𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐫
You stood next to your brother proudly watching Tommy face dream
Chanting out his name
One.. Two.. three..
“Most disputes die and no one shoots”
Four.. five.. six..
“Pray that Hell or Heaven lets you in”
seven, eight, nine..
“Summon all the courage you require”
Tommy looked at all of you, his eyes lingering on both you and Wilbur
He knew you were looking up to him
Your uncle, the one you can come to for anything
He won’t let you down
“Number Ten paces! Fire!”
When the arrow left dreams bow it was aimed to Tommy’s heart
Tommy’s bow shot to the sky
You screamed in horror watching him die for the second time
Crying in fundys chest as he held you close
but you got your independence in the end
The only thing you knew
You hated dream
𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝗼𝐧 𝐚𝐫𝐜
You were a lot older then when the war first started
Not exactly a teenager but close enough
You were happy when new people moved to the smp
Your father was unsteady about the new people
Unsure how he completely felt about this Quackity and Schlatt
Then the idea of an election happened
You were all for it! Hell becoming the president made you feel great about yourself
Almost ready to attack when Quackity joined with George
They used you for votes
“Hey vote for Wilbur soot and tommy innit! Look we have a cute child”
Tommy pinched your cheeks and you cringed in disgust
They used you a lot in debates against the other team
“You want to hurt such a small little being? How could you!”
You were exhilarated seeing fundy and Nikki join the campaign
Not the fondest of fundy still but he was still your brother
And you and Nikki were really good friends already
So when it came to voting and schlatt taking George’s spot
You helped Nikki and Fundy write a whole lot of fake votes
“Cant we go to jail for this?”
“no.”
You just shrugged continuing to write
The second that the names were called you were on the edge of your seat
Shining with the Lmanburg uniform proudly
“Pog 2020 lost to Schaltt 2020 by 1%”
Your heart skipped a beat and you felt yourself jumping out of the chair
“Take that back!”
Except nobody listened to you
Your voice was undermined by the tens of other adults in the room
“First things first.. My first declaration as the president of this country is,”
Schlatt maybe over passed dream on the hate list
“To revoke citizenship of Wilbur Soot and Tommy Innit!”
Tears started forming at the brim of your eyes
You ran with Wilbur trying to get out od the assassins clutches
Holding back the pain as your father was shot and killed by punz
Instead shooting the man the middle finger just like Tommy told you
The next thing to do was find a home..
Since now yours is gone
Forever it may be
𝐏𝗼𝐠𝐭𝗼𝐩𝐢𝐚
You were disgusted by the ravine you had found yourselves sheltered in
But making sure that no remeninse of scars were on Wilbur
There wasn’t thankfully, somehow
You helped Wilbur mine out a little room in the ravine
Wilbur wanted to keep you secluded from the pains from the world
But he failed
All of you got a wardrobe change
You were sad to see your old uniform go
Keeping it safely hidden in your ender chest
When Tommy brought home Technoblade
You weren’t very amused
“Why is your hair pink?”
That’s the first thing you said to your uncle whom you hadn’t seen in years
“Why are you a kid? An orphan eh?”
“Frankly enough, at this very moment I wish I was.”
Wilbur was quick to rush you away from the man
But you saw the faint smile on his lips
Tho he’s never admit it
You had grown closer to techno, helping him out a bit
But you also slowly watched your father go insane
You tried to deny it, telling yourself false lies
Trying to escape the truth it may be
So when dream came around for the first time and agreed to help the group
You just felt terrible
You had hated that man with your whole heart, so did Tommy
Your dad started drifting away but helping you close at the same time
As insane he may be your always coming first
That’s why he introduced the idea of blowing up Lmanburg
“Don you realize N/n! It isn’t ours.. We won’t feel safe there again”
It pained you to face the truth, but he was right
So tnt it was
The festival came around sooner or later
Listening in with Wilbur and Tommy ontop of the space station
“Wilbur come on, we can save it. We can get our Lmanburg back!”
Tommy was so against the idea of destroying his only home
Worried he wouldn’t feel welcomed anywhere else
But he was wrong
The walls were torn down
The walls which were built around to protect us
To protect you and fundy
Oh fundy, your brother
He helped tear down those walls with a smile on his face
Like everything Wilbur did wasn’t for the both of you!
Any relationship that may have developed during the first war had now been tarnished
“Enjoy the festivities!”
The code word was said and Wilbur rushed to go blow the place up
Horrified you watched as techno brutally slaughtered Tubbo with no remorse
The button didn’t work and now your running back to pogtopia
Death rained upon any step Lmanburg took
It needs to be gone
𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐫
You stood with everyone
Shocked to see how techno was prepared for action
It felt like years had passed since you’ve lost Lmanburg
Going crazy down in that damn ravine
But now your decked out in Neitherite armor prepared for action
You still wanted to blow it up tho
Just give Tommy a little glimpse of it
You laughed at the silly chant, worried why your dad isn’t wearing any armor
“You don’t need it, remember there’s a law against armor”
You felt bad breaking such an old rule
But for what we’re coming you’d need it
“They’ve got the high ground!”
Sweat dripped from your forehead but dream finally surrendered
So you all stood around Schlatts dying figure
“Flatly patty”
The man just died
A heart attack in the middle of the war
You weren’t complaining tho, just offs the workload
So when you clapped and cheered as Tubbo accepted the role of president
You didn’t notice your fathers disappearance
Distracted as techno spawned withers ghastly creatures
Ones only told in myths of legends who faced them
Three heads, heartless and cold. Told to destroy everything in its path and kill everything you hold dear
It was worse seeing them rather then in fairy tales
You had no clue what to do
That was until your vision caught up to the sight infront of you
A strange man shot a sword right through your fathers chest
And the ground beneath you began to crumble
Pain was all you felt watching the one who held you close at night leave you in thin dust
Who said “I’ll protect you!”
Being the one who’s hurting you at most
The injuries you had sustained from the wither and the explosion hasn’t mattered
The only person you could feel comfort you was the same women you trusted with your life
And throughout the chaos around you just hugged her keeping her close
“Nikki he’s gone”
━◦○◦━◦○◦━◦○◦━◦○◦━◦○◦━◦○◦━
And that is part one of Wilburs child! This post became way too damn long with just purely head cannons. So part two will include ghostbur, exile, and alivebur
As always request and ask anything! And ask if you want to be on a tag list :))

Can you please write a piece on c!Niki Nihachu? I see a lot of people hating her and I’m new to the dsmp, so I don’t really know what she did wrong
now, I wanna preface this by saying that I'm by no means an expert on niki's character. I've seen some of her streams and read up on her lore and kept up with the meta discussions but I'm by no means a niki main (not to any real fault of her own, time in the day is just limited and I've gotten inniter brainrot).
I will say, it's not hate so much as it is intense frustration at the loss of both focus and potential.
niki and jack joined the server just after the end of the original war for independence, and they meshed into l'manberg proper so fast and hard that a good chunk of the fandom didn't remember that they weren't there for the war in the first place. niki was already introduced under the context of her and wilbur already being friends (with wilbur giving her a personal tour on her first day), but they streamed Much more frequently then as well. sometimes every day depending on the streamer !
niki built the first flag l'manberg ever had large and proud, the same being emulated all the way up to l'manberg's l'manhole now. she befriended everyone, she ran for office with fundy. she Was a l'manbergian.
and then schlatt won the elections, and then wilbur and tommy were ran out of the country, and then fundy burned the flag that She'd built.
her strength wasn't in physical fighting, her strength was in her Will. she looked the manberg cabinet in the face and told them she hoped they starved, earning her a permanent spot on schlatt's shit list from go. she fought the pet wars along-side tommy (with him and for him, not unlike she had with fundy before the elections). during the festival she yelled over schlatt and a screaming crowd to tell techno He Had A Choice, that schlatt couldn't Make him kill tubbo. she picked up the pieces afterwards, promising two boys only barely younger than her that they'd get through it no matter what, as long as they stayed together. she lived through abuse and fear and stuck with what was most important to her. she fought along side the rest of pogtopia to kill schlatt, to win back her home, to win back her community.
and then it was gone. just like that, the person she's trusted took it all away when they were supposed to have already won. techno spawned in monsters and dream rained tnt where the initial explosion hadn't already touched.
niki never really bounced back from the 16th.
nobody did Really, but she never truly found her footing again. the l'manberg cabinet had an illusion of stability for a hot second there (with a plan to try to desperately clutch at what they had afraid that it'd be taken away), but niki didn't have People.
she was building an underground city to house people without a home. it was meant to protect people without boarders and without fear. but it was empty. the design slowly shifted to be less and less hospitable. she slept in a cage.
by the time of the green festival niki was angry and lost, she felt abandoned and directionless and nothing was okay and she Needed something to blame. and dream gave her that something in the form of tommy.
from dream's mouth, it was tommy that destroyed the community house, it was tommy that'd "pushed" dream into building the walls, it was tommy that'd been with technoblade, it was tommy that'd promised to be there for her, it was tommy that'd always been by wilbur's side.
she was angry and she had a scapegoat and someone once defined by her Faith and her Will couldn't Believe anymore. she rejected l'manberg, she rejected her home, she rejected her community.
this was, Soured a bit by the overall problems with doomsday as a lore event. but in isolation this is a very strong character moment.
it's also here that she started up team rocket with jack. the two have Strong parallels to each other, with both of them picking out tommy as a scapegoat for all the problems with the server in part because of people like dream and techno who Positioned him as the center, and in part because they felt abandoned and lonely and tommy was Important to them once.
moreover, they knew that they couldn't touch any of the doomsday trio. tommy was an Obtainable goal specifically because he Was vulnerable.
so in the space in between doomsday and the disc war finale jack and niki were trying to kill tommy. this was largely played as a joke, with the gag being that they'd always fail no matter how specific they were, meanwhile tommy picked up on the fact that they were acting Weird but not that they were trying to kill him.
this bit was very funny, it just unfortunately happened in the aftermath of doomsday when 4/5ths of the fandom were convinced that tommy was the devil incarnate. again, not jack and niki's fault that they decided to play sympathetic villains while the fandom was eating itself with discourse.
the cracks only started to show after the disc war finale.
niki and jack were both there during the disc war finale, and it makes sense that they were there for tubbo and that they were still Angry at tommy. but they were also there to hear dream admit that he'd lied about the community house, they were there to see how dream had been pulling the strings in the first place. the server latching onto the idea that tommy had been guilty in the first place was already absurd enough given the context of the green festival.
still, what pushed it over the edge was niki joining the syndicate.
going after tommy was supposed to be the Alternative to going after techno and dream, because they weren't Strong enough. it was techno and dream that'd taken their homes away, it was (in their minds) tommy that'd laid the foundations.
joining techno as an ally, in this context, is like lighting yourself on fire to spite the match.
which wouldn't have been a Problem inherently if niki's arc was about her realizing that. if she was supposed to realize that she was taking herself too far in the face of short sighted revenge and that she's have to pull back and reconcile if she wanted to be happy.
which is, Almost, her intended arc.
after tommy dies and gets revived she Does decide to settle in, she Does decide that it's time for her to be Happy. but it's with the syndicate. it's with the people directly responsible for the intensely traumatizing events that lead to her death spiral.
it wasn't with tommy or tubbo, who she had strong emotional ties to that lead back to the beginning she was longing for in the first place, and it wasn't even with jack who had ties to the same that she'd promised to join hands with in the present. it was with technoblade and phil, who stood above her home and bombed it. who took a sword and killed someone who used to be her best friend. who shot tubbo dead while she screamed that he had another choice.
and That's where the problems truly set in. not because she's irredeemable or because she can never reconcile, but because her arc is being "resolved" in a way that makes absolutely no god damn sense.
she was friends with tommy, she tried to kill him Multiple Times, she laughed when she learned that he was dead, she helped the syndicate investigate tubbo (who thinks that tommy is dead even if She doesn't believe it), she has never owned up to any of this.
she's not mad at tommy anymore, she's let that go, but she's never Talked to him. she's never owned up to trying to kill him, she's never even properly broken off her deal with Jack, who she Knows is still trying to kill tommy (or rather, that's what she Thinks. that's what jack likes to tell himself too).
so she's just been sitting here, stagnating. not able to address any of the emotional beats of her character because she's trying to find community and a new sense of purpose in the absolute wrong place for it.
was joining up with techno bad? yeah. was helping dream escape from prison even though she knows for a fact that he's a murderer whose orchestrated the downfall of her home and antagonized the people that she loved over a Favor that wasn't even Hers because she didn't want to "betray" techno even worse? Absolutely.
when you're at the point where Ranboo does more to try to put his foot down about a confrontation between two sides then you have a problem. even if ranboo was brushed off the fact is he still tried to Tell techno that he didn't think they should be helping dream.
and we have to ask where her character is supposed to go from here. she's angry at wilbur, she's never apologized to tommy, she hasn't even tried to Connect with anyone outside of the syndicate except for two conversations with jack, ranboo is a Ghost, and the person who once looked a dictator in the face and told them to Starve when she had nothing couldn't look her own ally in the face and say they shouldn't break the serial killer out of jail while she was in full netherite.
her character has Stagnated because she's in the wrong Place and there's no sign of where she'll be able to go from here.
it has to be somewhere obviously, I don't think her character is unsalvageable or anything. but this has been a long stretch of not very satisfying character growth.

She lost her brother a month ago
His picture on the wall
And it reminds me
When she brings me coffee... her smile
I wish I could be with her until my last day
In the forest, a cottage lays peacefully in a secluded meadow near a running stream. The tall trees lay their shadows onto the grassy floor, leaving marks from the sun. Water solemnly runs along, moving to its next destination through the stream. Grass rustles and a soft sigh is heard.
Stretching his arms above his head, a man clad in green slowly sits up, emerald eyes darting around. He yawns. "(Y/N)!" He's now standing up, searching for his lover. Dream's hand reaches down to grab his mask left abandoned on the grass, quickly putting it on.
Preparing his sword, his hand on the hilt, Dream slowly steps toward the cottage. He rests a hand on the door, waiting for something, anything.
A scream is heard.
He now slams the door open, netherite blade on full display, ready to attack. Looking around, he notices no one but (Y/N) in the cozy home, with a kettle on the ground next to them. Lowering his guard, sighing with relief, he sheathes his sword once more, walking over to his distraught partner.
"Are you alright?" Removing his mask, he takes their hands in his. Dream looks at them. (Y/N) looks down, taking their hurt hand out of his. Sighing, Dream quickly leads them over to the sink, running the tap. "What happened?" The coldness of the water helped soothe the burn. "I just, accidentally burnt myself with the kettle. It's okay, I'll live, Clay."
The man remained silent. The only sound heard in the cottage was the running tap water. After treating the burn on their hand, Dream leads (Y/N) to the chair on the side of the room. "You. Sit. I'll finish doing whatever you were doing. You just sit there and take it easy, you just burnt your hand." Bending down to their height, Dream stands face to face with (Y/N). He narrows his eyes slightly. He was always like this. Whenever (Y/N) got hurt in any sort of way, Dream was always on it, almost suffocating them with his overwhelming protectiveness.
They sighed, avoiding his eyes. "I- I was just... I just wanted to make you a coffee this morning. I know you're going to be busy later, so I wanted to make sure that you were energized for your work." Fiddling with their bandaged hand, (Y/N) smiled gently. "I see how you're always so dedicated to the stuff you do, and I wanted to return the favor, even if it's just a cup of coffee."
Dream's eyes softened. It was true, he was dedicated to his work. Running an SMP was hard, especially with some people interfering with his plans recently. He had plans to take power over the server again. Finding and taking everything his people were attached to was difficult, but at least he had (Y/N) to come home to. It was all for them. It was worth the hard work and pain just to see (Y/N) smile at him, showing him their love.
"It's okay. Thank you for wanting to do that, but you don't have to." Running his hand up to their cheek, he smiled. "I do all of my work for you, to help make a safe place for you. Once I sort out the rebellious people, I promise, I'll come back to you, and we can live together in my SMP." (Y/N) gazed up at him, looking into his eyes. They smiled, beaming at the idea.
"Alright! I promise I'll wait for you! I'll always wait for you. I love you, Clay."
"I love you too. I promise I will come back to you. Always."
He would do anything to see that smile on their face all the time.
She said she gave all her love to me
We dreamt a new life
Some place to be at peace
But things changed... Suddenly
I lost my dreams in this disaster
It had been two days. Two days since Dream had left. (Y/N) had since then tended to the flowers and read a few books Dream had gotten them from a faraway village.
'I wonder what he's doing now?' Looking up at the sky, (Y/N)'s mind began to wander. What was dream doing right now? Maybe he was still on his way back to his SMP? Or maybe he was trading with villagers for resources?
They smiled. Dream had been one of (Y/N)'s lifelong friends turned partner. They had met when (Y/N) used to live in a village as a child. (Y/N) was nine and Clay was ten. Dream had gotten into a rough fight with two skeletons and a zombie. He was stumbling around, trying to find help for his injuries.
That was when (Y/N) appeared. Hearing the boy's cries, they ran out of their family home, taking Dream into the house to be treated, screaming for their parents to help him.
They had grown up together as best friends after that. Meeting George and Sapnap, the group loved to go on little adventures together and play their favourite game: manhunt. Dream would always insist on running, with George and Sapnap chasing after him. Sometimes, (Y/N) would join them, but they quite enjoyed seeing the trio panic during the game. It was fun.
A couple years ago, Dream visited (Y/N), saying that he was starting up his own SMP, a place where he and his friends could have fun and just be themselves all the time. The two of them spend hours in (Y/N)'s room, talking about their big plans and ideas for the SMP. Dream wanted to build a cottage near a stream, and live there peacefully with (Y/N). They were shocked, Dream wanted to live with them? "Why?" They asked.
"Well, because of... I'll just show you."
That was the day Clay had kissed (Y/N) for the first time.
I'm crying
Missing my lover
I don't have the power
On my side forever
A month had passed. Nothing from Dream. Usually, he'd send a message through on their server communicator, asking how they were and informing them of his journey and new discoveries. But that didn't happen, not this time.
It was hard. Clay had been such a big part of their life that sometimes they found it hard not to worry about him. They knew he was strong, he could take down armies of people, but everyone had their limit.
Raising the iron hoe, (Y/N) swung down, making way for the new seeds of crops that would grow over the next few months. Wiping their forehead with their sleeve, they sighed.
All they wanted was for Dream to be safe, and for him to come back home once he finished his business in the SMP.
Oh Where is my lover
And I got no power
I'm standing alone, No way
Calling out your name
Heavy pants of breath echoed throughout the underground bunker. He was panicking. It wasn't supposed to go like this.
The plan was to kill Tubbo and make Tommy give him his disks.
It all went to shit when Punz showed up with backup, showing the people of his SMP that had turned against him fully.
"W-woah! Okay! Tommy, calm down!"
The blonde boy didn't listen, hands gripping the axe of peace and lifting it high above his head.
"Tell me why I shouldn't kill you Dream, right here, right now."
Dream silently gulped. For once, his plan failed. It backfired on him and blew up in his face. 'Sorry (Y/N). Guess I'm not coming back tonight.' He just wanted this to be over. He just wanted to be back in the cottage near the stream, sitting with his lover.
His green eyes darted around to everyone in the room. They looked disgusted, some disappointed, others angry. He knew this would never change. He would never get his SMP back. They hated him. Wanted him gone.
"Does Y/N know you're like this?"
His breath hitched. Eyes went wide.
Sapnap had stepped forward, sword out, pointing it threatening at Dream. "Do they know just how bad you are? How corrupt you've become?!" He was yelling at this point. Sapnap was upset as well. It was hard to believe that his best friend would do all of these bad things, it hurt to betray him, but he had to do what was right.
"S-stop. Stop talking about them."
For once, Dream was vulnerable. He hated it. He was always so soft when it came to them. When it came to (Y/N). Sapnap knew that. He had seen it when they were together, how happy dream was when he was with them, following them around like a lost puppy, longing for their love. It went both ways, (Y/N) was the same.
"Who the fuck is- Nevermind. Dream. Give me one good fucking reason why I shouldn't-"
"Tommy stop." Sapnap stepped in again. "This is important to not just me but for another person as well." Tommy stepped back, axe still prepared to lash out just in case. Tommy kept muttering to himself, something about a green bastard.
"Dream. Where is (Y/N)? You said they would join the SMP with us, but they're not here, nobody has seen them, probably besides you. You said that they changed their mind about the SMP, or was that a lie too?"
Dream gulped, words caught in his throat.
"Tell me, you bastard! Where is (Y/N) and do they know?!"
"No. They don't know. All I wanted to do was protect them from something I knew would happen. The wars, the chaos of the SMP. They didn't need to be a part of that. I didn't want them to get hurt."
It was almost like a plea. Dream's voice was quiet like he didn't want them to hear what he was saying. Sapnap stepped back, somewhat satisfied with his answer. He was also upset, he hadn't seen (Y/N) in years, not since before the SMP started.
Tommy finally stepped forward.
"Now. Tell me why I shouldn't kill you, Dream."
"I can bring people back to life. I can bring Wilbur back."
I said I gave all my love to you
We dreamt a new house
Some place to be at peace
But things changed... Suddenly
I lost my dreams in this disaster
Three months. It had been three long months without him. (Y/N) would spend every other night crying in their bed, missing him. They missed everything about him. No messages from him on their communicator. No death messages about him either.
They had never thought that three months could feel so long.
Surely he was busy doing stuff that would mean the world was safer for them. That's what he always said. He said that he worked for them and that he promised that they could settle down and make a new cottage near a different stream, closer to the SMP.
He said he needed to dig out the rebellious people and make his SMP a better place.
All (Y/N) could hope for was that he was safe and doing okay.
We don't know what is wrong tonight
Everybody's got no place to hide
No one's left and there's no one to go on
All I know is my life is gone
Dream was not feeling safe and right now he was feeling anything but okay.
Tommy had just broken his mask. Split down the middle, from the axe of peace.
He didn't want anyone to see his face, no one but (Y/N) and the people who had already seen it before he started wearing the mask.
His mask was his safe haven. A facade he could hide behind. With it gone, there was now no place for him to hide.
All he had done was tell Tommy that he could bring people back to life. When he mentioned Wilbur, Tommy seemed shocked, but then he seemed to come back to his senses after remembering what Wilbur was like before he died.
He went crazy. Insane. All because of Dream and his stupid motives. He only fueled Wilbur's change, encouraging him to blow Manburg up after Jschlatt took over. Thank God for Karl destroying the button the first time. The second attempt was successful and sealed Wilbur's fate as a psychotic, destroyed ex-president swayed by the masked man into committing destruction.
Tommy was angry at that. At the fact that Dream would even think about bringing back Wilbur.
Enraged, he brought the axe down onto Dream's cowering figure.
I'm crying
Missing my lover
I don't have the power
On my side forever
Sitting up, (Y/N) slowly looked around the room. It was the same as always; no Dream insight. They woke up every day with a feeling of hope that they would turn around and see Dream at the door, back from his trip.
The situation was too much. (Y/N)'s breaths quickened, eyes blurring up with tears, the salty water slowly dripping down the sides of their cheeks. They let out a dry laugh, bringing up their sweater paw hands to their face, wiping the tears.
They stared at the sleeve of the hoodie they had on. It was green.
It was his.
He always left a spare here, just in case.
It always came in handy when (Y/N) missed him.
They sighed, flopping back down onto the bed, curling into themselves and the hoodie. It smelt like him. He always smelt like a run through the forest, with a hint of saltwater and citrus.
It was comforting.
He was comforting.
The tears wouldn't stop. Every time (Y/N) wiped them away, fresh ones would keep coming. Where was he? Was he okay? It was all they could think about.
(Y/N) hugged themselves, hoping to recreate a hug like his. It didn't work. It never worked.
Nothing could ever compare to his hugs.
Still sobbing, (Y/N) cried themselves back to sleep, despite it being morning.
Not like they had any motivation to do anything without the assurance of him being okay anyways.
Oh Where is my lover
And I got no power
I'm standing alone, No way
Calling out your name
Beep.
(Y/N)'s communicator went off.
Dream was slain by Tommyinnit.

the great adventures of y/n tommy and jack
requested: yes/no
pairing: platonic jack/tommy/reader
summary: jack and tommy convince y/n to leave the house
content warning: cursing
an: wrote way more than i intended to
from the moment you woke up your day was already chaotic, you checked your phone to see several missed calls and texts from tommy. still half asleep you decided to finally answer the call
“the fuck did you wake me up for?”
“I'm outside your house please let me in. Some old man keeps telling me to get into his car, gotta go be quick!”
“TOMMY DON'T YOU DARE GET INTO HIS CAR!”
as soon as you opened to door you were met by your two friends wheezing
“you should have seen your face y/n you looked so worried!”
“you little shits don’t do that again,” you said, scolding the two boys who were now crying with laughter.
the car ride was just as chaotic.
you were screaming at all the cars that were ‘going too slow’ and yelling at jack how to drive, despite the fact you don’t know how to drive.
tommy kept putting his hand close to the steering wheel in an attempt to honk the horn.
“CARPOOL KARAOKE- AAAAAA..OH THE FEDS!”
“FUCK THE POLICE!”
“tommy, y/n, we are going to get arrested.”
the journey was then silent for a few minutes until your new boyfriend could be heard from your phone.
“here we go lads!”
it was a miracle you all survived the car journey, especially since tommy found it hilarious to put his phone in front of jacks face as he was driving.
“oh shit..were at tesco’s?”
you must have zoned out during the car ride because the sound of tommy, finally being allowed to honk the horn, pulled you back to reality.
the three of you debated filming your day together, but ended up deciding against it, wanting to spend time together, especially since you had been busy going to college 5 days a week.
everything was going well until an announcement from customer service echoed,
“good evening ladies and gentlemen, we have a teenager here named y/n l/n looking for their father and older brother, if you are them please come and collect them from the customer service desk.”
you couldn’t help but laugh at how embarrassed tommy and jack were as they came to customer service.
“you must be their...parent??”
“no no no no they’re our friend. they must have wandered off and then got lost it’s their first time visiting this tesco.” it was around 1pm when you finally left tesco, but the adventure wasn’t over yet.
the car ride back was another adventure, tommy spent most of the ride talking about how he found donuts for £3, and how jack squashed them by throwing biscuits at them. it was only when you realised you were going in the wrong direction to go home you spoke up.
“you’re going the wrong fucking way, home is in the other direction.”
“i’m not taking you home, we’re going to a lake!”
“YOU’RE KIDNAPPING ME?!”
“no we’re going fishing.”
“oh-”
“this isn’t a lake?”
“it’s a fishing shop!”
as the three of you walked in, tommy instinctively put an arm around you, keeping you close as the shop was rather busy, and you were already questioning exploring the shop on your own.
“there is no customer service here and i'm not running around here trying to find you. if you run off- OH LOOK SUNGLASSES LETS GET MATCHING ONES!”
you raced tommy back to the car, “HA DIBS ON FRONT SEAT!”
“BUT Y/N I WAS THERE FIRST!”
“sucks to be tommyinnit i guess!”
time went by quickly, you were almost there. you spent the entire time bickering with jack about how you could drive better than him and how the road was too bumpy.
the sound of tommy yelling the word pheasant caught you off guard, causing you to flinch.
“could have had it...”
“WHY WOULD YOU KILL IT MANIFOLD?!”
“he’s nicked the spot.”
“rival fisher?”
you suggested screaming till he left, tommy loved that idea however jack wasn’t too sure it was a good idea.
“let’s run him into the lake with your car!“
“let’s do it!”
you covered your face with your hands hiding the fact you were crying with laughter, they would never tell you this but they loved and missed seeing you this happy. they hadn’t seen you in a while due to the fact you were busy with college, and the times they did see you it was clear you hadn’t been sleeping much and that you were incredibly stressed.
you and tommy went around hunting for sticks to throw into the lake. after a while you chose to sit on the grass watching the pair fish. you were just happy to be out spending time with your best friends, then you heard a train pass and were determined to find it. as you walked away, you heard tommy laugh at jack who was complaining about how he stole his wrap, and was trying to feed ducks sweet corn.
“where did y/n go?”
“i’ll go find them.”
tommy ended up asking strangers if they had noticed you pass by, luckily someone pointed out that you went straight on and was mumbling something about a train.
“can i get a ticket to go on the train please?”
tommy couldn’t believe what he was seeing.
“make it two tickets. I also want to go on the train.”
as soon as you both paid and were handed the tickets you grabbed tommys hand, draging him away before he could ask questions about you wandering off.
jack sat fishing on his own, arguing with ducks till his phone rang.
“IM ON A TRAIN WITH TOMMY BE BACK SOON- I THINK I DON'T KNOW WHERE IT GOES, MISSING YOU ALREADY!”
before he even got the chance to speak you hung up laughing.
“what the hell where are we?”
“it’s train time tommy!”
after a few minutes you realised this was going to be a long journey.
“this fucking train is going 1 mille an hour bloody hell.”
you placed you head on your friends shoulder, it had been a long day and you were exhausted.
“oh fuckkkk i have work to do when i get home.”
tommy felt awful for you, noticing you were stressed and starting to get upset, he pulled you in for a hug. the pair of you stayed in the position talking about anything and everything until the train came to a stop.
“let’s go brag about our journey to jack!”
“he’s going to kill us.”
“worth it.”
It was a long day but you were thankful your two closest friends decided to make you leave the house and spend time with them. a few days later you had your exams, then a few weeks later you got your results and couldn’t wait to message the gc.
yn : I PASSED BOYS!!!
tommy: I knew it!!
jack: nice one!
tubbo: does this mean we can go on an adventure?? I couldn't go last time.
yn: yes.

OKAY SO UH
I've been rewatching Exile with a group of people from the Flypaw Discord and uhh I think we've figured out the answer to a question that has been plaguing people for a WHILE now... Which is, why does Tommy claim to be alone all the time despite having visitors every day?
Well... his visitors are really fucking mean, whether on accident or on purpose.
On day 1, his only visitor aside from Dream was Techno, who openly mocked him for getting thrown out of his home and watched him and Ghostbur struggle for materials because it amused him.
On day 2, his visitors were Bad, Dream and Sapnap. Bad was kinda nice, but mostly kept his distance cause everyone kept saying fuck words. However, Dream and Sapnap relentlessly mocked Tommy, laughed at him struggling for materials, and the two followed him around the entire time, protecting him from mobs (meaning Tommy couldn't just tell them to fuck off), bullying him, and constantly reminding him that he can never go back home again.
On day 3, his visitors were Fundy and Ranboo. While they were not actively malicious, they did say some stuff that was... unintentionally hurtful. They tell Tommy that the walls are gone, that L'Manburg looks much nicer now, and that Tubbo is doing alright. Innocuous statements on the surface, but Tommy, in his depressed state, took them to mean that Tubbo didn't miss him or care about him, and that L'Manburg was better off without him.
On day 4, his visitors were Dream, Lazar, and Connor (briefly). When Lazar came over, he and Tommy had a sweet moment where Lazar gave Tommy a disc and a fire resistance potion for trying to help him out of the lava. Tommy and Lazar listened to the disc together and put their differences aside... And then Dream came in and made Lazar participate in destroying Tommy's armor. Tommy killed Lazar, pissing Lazar off, and once again creating a rift. Connor joined later on, declaring that he was living in Tommy's house back in the SMP, and when Tommy tried to get him to move out because he wanted to move back after exile, Dream continuously told him that he'd never be going back. Lazar and Connor also both claimed that the server looked much better since Tommy got exiled, and Dream adds that it's because he's not blowing stuff up all the time (which is the most hypocritical thing ive ever heard ghfgds). Dream also shoved him into lava to do a "Tommy rescue", mimicking when Lazar had fallen into lava, forcing Tommy to drink the fire res potion he got from Lazar.
We haven't watched past day 4 of exile yet, but after this comes the beach party, and after that, visits become fewer and further between.
That's not to say that Tommy never had any positive interactions with his visitors, because he did! Bad and Lazar both gave him gifts, and there was quite a bit of banter going on. However, when you've got the kinds of mental health issues Tommy had (depression, PTSD, low self esteem), you tend to become VERY cynical, and only focus on the bad. The good times slip from your memories before the bad ones do, leaving only a horrible impression of the visit behind, and there were plenty of bad times.
Is it any wonder Tommy felt lonely then? Is it a surprise that he believed his visitors were only there for pity or clout? If every time someone visits you they make you feel horrible, why WOULDN'T you feel like nobody cared about you?

What if Yandere!Tubbo,Yandere!Tommy AND Yandere!Ranboo fell in love with the same person- and at the same time-
YALL JUST LOVE CHAOS. Sorry this took a while. I was focused on writing longer stories. Unfortunately this one is a liiiiittle short because brain has committed no work any longer.
Yandere!Plat!C!Bench Trio x GN!Reader Headcanons
Chaotic
That's all that really needs to be said.
At first, none of them knew that they actually felt this way about you.
Tommy would try to get you to avoid the other two, although it never worked. So he just ended up constantly trying to have your attention on him.
Ranboo had books FILLED with little facts about you. Anything from your favourite weather, the exact time you were born, to your favourite flowers, any allergies, the exact paths you take from your home.
Tubbo always found himself giving you headbaps, like headbutts but much much more gentle. (Unless you're a Ram hybrid. If you are, mans iS CHARGING for an affectionate head bonk)
But then Dream started flirting with you.
They became fiercely protective of you, and many bad things had wound up happening to Dream at once.
His house got robbed.
He kept some how kept getting tripped while nothing was there.
They just bullied him relentlessly.
But you, being the sweet person you were, always kept trying to help him up, offering to give your stuff to him, etc.
Realizing this, the three began to quickly get angry, but this lead to each of them realizing that the others felt a similar way about you.
Genuinely had to ask Puffy, Sam and Phil what their feelings towards you meant.
Phil wheezed.
Sam explained it gently, but didn't give much info. He's a busy man that's trying to build redstone machines.
Puffy SQUEALED. Like she was so happy to hear the fact that they felt this way towards you.
The captain had to carefully explain that they were just feeling jealous, and that it was normal, but did try and persuade them to win you over.
She had no idea that they were this smitten with you.
Genuinely taken aback when Ranboo told her that he wanted to lock you away to keep you from any danger, when Tommy told her that he wanted to kill anyone who interacted with you, and when Tubbo said he wanted you to only rely on him.
It was Phil who explained what Yandere was to them, and told them that it was an extremely unhealthy relationship that they were seeking after.
The trio... Didn't seem to care too much... actually...
Instead they hyper focused on how to get Dream away from you.
Like they spent a ton of time on their plan. To the point where they actually weren't leaving the security building they made.
Tommy would practically threaten the masked man every time he got near you, and while they didn't do much, he would yell them while dragging you away from him.
Tubbo kept trying to convince Sam to throw Dream into the prison, but Sam couldn't do it without any evidence. He has morals.
Ranboo decided to be genuine with you and began to tell you all about Dream's manipulation, the voice, everything. He also got Tommy's permission to tell you about Dream's true nature.
They were actually so focused on trying to get the masked man away from you, that they forgot they were supposed to be fighting over you.
By the time Dream finally did get put in prison, you were pretty much best friends with the trio, completely unaware of their manipulation tactics.
You thought Puffy was trying to make a joke when she told you their intentions, so you just politely brushed off her warnings.
Let's just say, even if you realized what was wrong, at this point you were too trapped to escape.

A List of Every Wrongdoing c!Dream Has Ever Done
Lately, I’ve been noticing an increase in c!Dream apologists crawling out of the woodworks to leave nasty anons on my mutuals’ blogs and making posts claiming that c!Dream is misunderstood and not “pure evil.” (I suspect this is due to the recent DSMP Twitter migration from a week ago.)
The purpose of this post is less to discuss and explain why c!Dream is not Morally Grey (he’s Morally Black), but to show in plain detail exactly the actions and mindsets he portrayed which have led him to be deemed as irredeemable.
(Please note: I will miss a few details here and there as tallying up every terrible thing c!Dream has done is a borderline impossible task. There’s simply too many to state, especially if we’re going into dialogue-specific examples as well.)
Season One:
(During this time, cc!Dream did not have a firm grasp on the direction he wanted to take his character. At this point in the story, he did not yet fill the archetypal role of the villain. Thus, it’s best to take this section with a grain of salt.)
Was the catalyst to the Disc War, stealing both of Tommy’s discs, Cat and Mellohi.
Immediately declared war on L’Manburg after its emancipation, instead of offering a peaceful compromise.
Had a speech where he demanded surrender from L’Manburg or he’d kill them.
Burned down Tubbo’s house.
Ordered Sapnap to start a forest fire near L’Manburg.
Organized the Control Room incident; the largest mass murder in the server’s history, taking a canon life from every member of L’Manburg.
Provided incentive for Eret to betray his friend and manipulated him up until the day he was dethroned.
Took a canon life from Tommy during a duel, instead of accepting Wilbur’s initial plea for surrender.
Destroyed Tubbo’s bee boxes, griefed Tommy’s house, and constantly terrorized Clingy Duo.
Offered real money for Jack Manifold to defect from L’Manburg and betray his two new friends.
Likened himself to the rightful ruler of the server and described all its people as ‘dolls’ who should ‘stay in their correct rooms and not move.’
Was a major instigator in the Railway Skirmish.
Went behind Sapnap’s back and told Niki and Fundy where he kept his pets so they could kill them.
Was an instigator in both Pet Wars.
Gave Schlatt a crossbow during the debates, which he used to shoot at bystanders and opponents, forcing the crowd to flee.
Initially urged Quackity to join Schlatt’s campaign.
Provided Wilbur with TNT and defended his decisions, worsening his downward spiral.
Betrayed Pogtopia when Schlatt offered him the Book of Revival.
Initially sided with Technoblade as he threatened to spawn withers.
Cheered when L’Manburg blew up.
Was revealed to have made a deal with Wilbur which forced him to push the button no matter the outcome.
Season Two:
Griefed several homes with Puffy and tried to pin the blame on Tommy, hoping to get him exiled.
Took Tommy and Ranboo’s house fire accident and blew it out of proportion.
Built obsidian walls around L’Manburg and threatened to keep everyone tapped inside if Tommy wasn’t punished.
Threatened to kill anyone who would try to resist or flee, should the walls be completed.
Sent rude messages to Tommy in the hopes of getting him riled up during meetings in order to irritate Tubbo.
Had a speech where he admitted to not caring about anything but Tommy’s discs, which deeply hurt Sapnap.
Was a major instigator in the El Rapids Protest.
Threatened to kill Quackity during the above incident, including everyone he cared about.
Dethroned George despite promising the throne to him, hurting him in the process.
Conditioned the trial situation to force Tubbo into a corner, leading him to exile Tommy.
Placed ridiculous, not agreed upon restrictions onto exile, forcing Tommy to remain on a small, isolated island.
Destroyed Tommy’s summer home on the way to Logstedshire and refused to allow him to bring personal affects with him.
Turned exile from an unfair punishment into a literal kidnapping.
Destroyed everything Tommy would make, each day he visited him.
Manipulated, gaslit, and lovebombed Tommy.
Forced Tommy to completely rely on him for comfort and survival.
Shrunk down the area Tommy could live in, even more so.
Starved Tommy and physically abused him.
Threatened to kill Tommy if he was slow to act, refused to co-operate, or was disagreeable.
Chased off potential visitors for Tommy.
Mocked Tommy openly in front of Sapnap and Ghostbur.
Was cold to Tommy when he displayed suicidal tendencies and vocalized ideation.
Manipulated Tubbo into thinking Tommy hated him and to never visit.
Burned the invitations to Tommy’s party.
Sent Ghostbur into the rain, hoping he would die there.
Lied to Tommy, telling him that Tubbo burned his compass.
Destroyed Logstedshire, Tommy’s tent, and all of his possessions upon finding secret chests hidden away in the floor.
Killed Tommy’s pet and only food source at the time, Mushroom Henry.
Forbade Tommy from going into the nether or seeing anyone until he ‘learned his lesson.’
Screamed at Tommy, despite Tommy apologizing incessantly. Then refused to accept the apology, saying he ‘never learned.’
Tracked down Tommy when he fled from captivity after his failed suicide attempt.
Attempted to frame Tommy for the destruction of the Community House.
Screamed at Tubbo and mocked him in front of a crowd.
Ousted Ranboo as a traitor, knowing full well that traitors are executed.
Teamed up with Technoblade to destroy L’Manburg.
Orchestrated Doomsday, blowing up L’Manburg into an unamendable, unrecognizable crater.
Mocked Tommy for returning to Tubbo.
Described destroying their home and seeing them broken as ‘amusing and fun.’
Had an odd, toxic, and potentially manipulative relationship with Ranboo.
Is implied to control Ranboo in some fashion, without his consent.
Griefed Tommy’s house again.
Threatened to kill Tubbo multiple times during the Final Disc Confrontation.
Admitted to toying with Clingy Duo using fake discs and mocked them.
Used Tommy’s trauma against him during battle and blew up the duo’s armor and tools.
Explained how he planned to use attachments to exert full control over the server and all its people.
Plotted to take precious items from his own two friends and closest allies.
Planned on kidnapping Skeppy and locking him in a cage.
Attempted to murder Tubbo.
Attempted to lock Tommy away in Pandora’s Vault forever.
Season Three:
Manipulated every single visitor he received in prison, including his own friend Sapnap.
Gave Sapnap a message in order to purposely trigger a response from Ranboo.
Manipulated and blackmailed Sam.
Threatened to kill Sam multiple times.
Fondly described to Sam what he did to Tommy during exile.
Implied to have trapped Tommy in the prison with him for a week, surrounding him with all of his greatest fears.
Beat Tommy to death in the heat of an argument and laughed afterward.
Brought Tommy back to life and asked him invasive questions about it.
Explained that he only killed Tommy to prove a point.
Debated killing Tommy again multiple times.
Asked Quackity if he thought Tommy’s death and abuse was funny.
Killed/destroyed Ghostbur in the process of reviving Wilbur.
Season Four:
Stated he did not care about Ranboo when he was threatened with death.
Threatened to destroy Sapnap’s home after he failed to return his armor.
Chased Tommy around the forest and physically attacked him.
Threatened Tommy with unending torture.
Started stalking Tommy immediately upon escaping prison.
Left signs and recorded his own voice on a disc in order to convince Tommy he was losing his mind.
Conspired to and succeeded in torturing both Vik and Lazar to death in the process of testing the Revival Book.
Mocked Sam for getting trapped in the prison and refused to free him from captivity.
Conspired to torture Quackity and kill his loved ones.
Admitted to not regretting any of his actions.
Murdered George when he refused to partake in the destruction of Kinoko.
Manipulated Sam into believing he was just as bad as Dream himself.
Starved Sam to expediate the manipulation.
Tricked Sam into handing over the prison keys before murdering him; giving him the same scar as Quackity in the process.
I will potentially update this list as time goes on, but for now, this is everything I can think of off the top of my head.
No amount of excuses, other POVs, or headcanons will change the fact that in text, Dream is THE major antagonist in the story and the ultimate, definitive villain of the Dream SMP.
And I wouldn’t want it any other way. Cheers!
