kou is super nervous and keeps looking over you when he thinks you aren’t looking like 🥺😊 and you decide to play along and ask him how he’s feeling and if he’s in pain and he shakes his head and goes “‘m okay, you’re really pretty though 🥺😍” kuroo snorts in the front seat and you’re trying rlly hard to not laugh at how cute he is so you take his hand and kou lit rally thinks he’s gonna pass out when you call him handsome and ask him out before kissing his cheek. he starts crying as he says things like “kuroo!!!! the pretty girl is my girlfriend now!! 🥺❤️😭💖💕😭😭🥳”

akaashi you’re already by his side by the time he wakes up but he doesn’t remember jack so he goes “hello, have u seen my girlfriend? she looks just like you. can u tell me if u see her? I would like to see her—she’s my everything 😊🥰” UGGHH KISS HIIMMM

he doesn’t remember who you are until the medication wears off but you manage to convince him that you’re gonna take him to his girlfriend so you can take him home 💀 and he spends the whole car ride really pretty quiet until you ask him why he’s so fidgety and then he softly tells you “i… can’t wait to see my girlfriend 🥺🥰💕 she said we’d go on an ice-cream date after🍦i hope she’s not mad that it’s been so long 🥺❤️💗” AHDHJANAA like a little happy babyyyy 🥺😭

oikawa tooru’s procedure finishes earlier than expected and has a dental hygienist watching over him as they wait for you and for some reason he starts to sing, but it’s really out of tune because of all the cotton in his mouth and the dental hygienist is just standing there, taking it. you can hear him down the hall as you walk into his room and he’s so excited to see you!!! “did you hear me sing for you, babe? i didn’t want you to get lost in this maze 🥺🥰” “yes, i did, tooru, tysm you don’t have to sing anymore 😊😇💕”

many thoughts: 1) oh god oh GOD he wants to have KIDS WITH YOU!! MARRIAGE??!? 😵❤️ 2) y does he think his molars r cute and y does he hope your kids will look like nasty teeth 😭💀 he’s rlly adamant about you lazing around with him. keeps showing u his teeth for some reason but gives the cutest smiles and hums when you feed him his fav chocolate ice cream 💗💗💗

terushima you walk into his room after he’s done and ask the dental hygienists how he’s doing and he looks at you all confused like 🤨 and asks the hygienists who you are. they think you’re married for some reason and say “that’s your wife!” and you’re so EMBARRASSED but also super happy on the inside HAHA he straight up goes “DAAAMMNNN, I did alright, huh?! when we bustin’ outta here?!” 🤪😜🥴😘 as if he could actually differentiate between left and right, up and down 😔

just in case, he asks you if you’re his wife at the same time the dentist asks if the two of you will be okay from here on out and you nod to the dentist’s question but yuuji thinks it’s for him so he lays back down with this satisfied look on his face like HELL YEAH alright, alright, alright 😌🥰🥴 and does those little nods SIDJAJJDJSJFJR HAHAHAHA

sakusa omi lets you play with his bangs and hands as you wait for the dentist and he LOVES IT softest smile on his face!! RIDICULOUSLY CLINGY!!!! he does NOT want you to leave him at all, will not let you go to the bathroom even though you’re like “omi, please, the dentist is busy with another patient right now, i’ll be back soon before we go through the aftercare stuff” “no” “omi, i have to pee” “do it here” and now it’s you who’s all 🤢

hoshiumi kourai insisted he was fine on his own “nothing is impossible for hoshiumi kourai, national athlete 😤” when the dentist asked if he needed someone to watch over him and the dentist is 🤨 ok sir and leaves after he falls asleep. when he wakes up, no one’s in his room and he has to use the washroom and he’s like i’ll do just it myself 🙄 he tries to stand and promptly collapses to the floor. he CRAWLS around on his stomach and makes it out of his room just as you walk in and you’re like KOU whY are you on the FLOOR like a ROACH 😭😭😭

it’s like you’re reenacting some dramatic romance movie as kou groans around the gauze and makes poor attempts to stand up, holding onto you LAKDSHLASKAHD 💀💀💀 asks you to get on the floor with him because he honest to god can’t get UP so that he can cuddle with you as the dentist and his assistants stand two feet away 🥰💕 tries to fight the staff when they get too close to you trying to help him get back to his bed HAJJFKAKDMAD

Hi there, of course! Thank you so much for the support, it really means a lot ❤ I’m going to write for Akaashi, Iwaizumi, and Kuroo, I hope that’s alright!

Also, I am still working on the dialogue prompts as well, but I was really in the mood for some good ol’ fashioned hurt/comfort :3 These are essentially scenarios in bullet point form oops.

AKAASHI KEIJI

You wake up and it’s morning. The sun is shining filling the room with warm light, but you still can’t shake the feeling in the pit of your stomach from last night’s dream.

You know it was just a dream, but relief still flows through you when you turn and see Keiji fast asleep next to you - the image stuck in your mind of him slamming the door as he stormed out of the apartment is finally beginning to blur at the edges.

You shuffle a little closer to him, and the movement causes him to stir. “Morning,” He murmurs when he sees you watching him. The soft smile slides from his face when he feels the way you’re gripping onto his arm.

“What’s the matter?” His arm slides comfortingly around your waist, drawing you a little closer to him. “Don’t you feel well?”

“I’m sorry,” You breathe out, still holding onto his arm because you’re a little bit scared to let go, “I had this terrible dream,” You squeeze your eyes shut, “You were - You left. I was so scared you wouldn’t come back!” You squeak out, embarrassed that the dream is still affecting you so much.

“Love,” He pulls you in close, tucking your face in against his chest so you can hear the faint beating of his heart. “I’m not planning on going anywhere. Okay?” You can feel the press of his lips on your head.

“Mm-hmm,” You nod against him, feeling the terror of the dream slipping away. “Good,” He whispers.

This morning, he holds you close for just a little longer, making sure you know he’s going to stay right here with you.

IWAIZUMI HAJIME

The last image you see before you jerk yourself awake is the scribbled note clutched in your fingers, the wedding band he’d left behind squeezed tight in your fist. Your breathing is still ragged when you wake to an aching in your chest.

“Y/N,” You realize Hajime is saying your name, and even in the darkness you can make out his face hovering above yours, “You’re dreaming, it’s just a dream.”

At the sound of his voice, you bury your face against his neck. “You’re here,” You choke out. “Hajime - you’re here!” He’s startled, but soon his arms tighten around you.

“Of course I’m here,” He soothes, fingers tracing circles into your back, “I’m here, Y/N. Whatever it is, it’s alright now.”

“Y-you were gone,” You hiccup, trying your best to keep the tears at bay. You can feel them burning at your eyes, but they’re from relief more than anything. “There was a note and - you left me!” The longer you’re awake, the more preposterous it all sounds, but you can still feel the echo of the fear in your chest.

Carefully, he pulls back enough to look you in the eye, tilting your chin up. “That’s not happening, okay?” You slowly nod, and he presses a kiss to your forehead. “Good. Are you ready to try to go back to sleep?”

When you agree, he holds you tight, still rubbing your back until you fall asleep.

KUROO TETSUROU

It all felt a little too real, and waking up to an empty bed certainly doesn’t help matters any. The memory of the quiet apartment and the empty drawers and closet in your dream still makes your stomach turn, and you can’t be alone any longer.

When you find Tetsu in the kitchen, you can’t help but let out a relieved breath. He’s already dressed for work, and getting ready to pour his coffee into his thermos when you wrap your arms around his middle, pressing your forehead between his shoulder blades

“Woah, what’s all this?” He’s laughing, but stops when he turns to pull you close and feels you quivering. “Babe?” You’re clinging onto his suit coat, trying to convince yourself that this is real and the dream wasn’t.

“You weren’t in bed,” You murmur, “I had this really terrible dream that you were gone, and then when I woke up, you weren’t there. It freaked me out,” You choke out a weak chuckle, because the situation is just a little funnier now that you’re in his arms.

“What? Hey,” He pulls away just enough to cup your face in his hands. “I’m not gone. I’m right here, and I wouldn’t choose to be anywhere else. Got it? Forget that dream.” He gives your forehead a gentle flick, then gives your cheek an affectionate brush with his thumb.

You nod, even managing a smile as you press against him for just a little longer before you pull back. “I’m okay,” You assure him with a nod, and you are now. “You need to get to work, huh?”

“Yeah,” He says reluctantly, “You’ll be alright?” You nod firmly, and he smiles. “I’ll see you this afternoon when I get home.” He lingers longer than normal in his goodbye kiss.

okay hear me out i just recently learned the word 'baby fever' and i can imagine keiji having one. it started when u were asked to take care of ur niece. how u motherly carry and feed her and u know take care of the baby in general. the sight melts him then started imagining him and u having a child of your own. he starts bringing up this topic whenever he has the chance or sometimes he just randomly mention having a child or or or whenever u go shopping he'll insist going to baby clothes or toy section then asks "this will be perfect for our baby owl don't you think?". but of course he understand if u're still not ready. ahccckkkk i sorry i need to share this

Kuroo watched from afar as you talked amongst some of his teammates that were practically drooling at the pools of your feet. He knew he wasn’t being subtle at all as his eyes raked up your figure but he didn’t know how much more of this he could take.

You two had been dating for a while but you both thought it would be important to keep your relationship a secret for the time being. Kuroo didn’t want to make it seem like he would be putting volleyball as a second priority to his team and you didn’t want it to look like you were fooling around with one of Karasuno’s “enemies”.

It was fun sneaking off behind corners for private makeout sessions and sharing secret glances towards each other but as Kuroo watched you get blatantly hit on in front of him, he felt like he was losing his cool.

The worst part was that since the training camp started, the two of you had no alone time and it was eating away at the both of you. You felt like you couldn’t even smile at Kuroo when he did really well against your own Karasuno without exposing your relationship and frankly, the two of you were both at your wits end.

“ You’re making it obvious,” Kuroo turned around and looked down at Kenma, who’s attention was on his gaming console,” just go over there.”

Okay, Kuroo wasn’t supposed to tell anyone but Kenma was an exception. The two had been friends for so long and Kuroo trusted him with his life, plus Kenma was never the type to gossip.

“ Are you seeing this? They’re practically undressing her with their eyes! I can tell from here that Lev is into her just from the way he’s standing,” Kuroo kept his gaze on you as you let out a laugh and even though Kuroo didn’t hear the joke, he knew your laugh wasn’t even genuine,” I might actually kill them, would you help me bury the body?”

Kenma sighed as he continued to keep his attention to his game,” You’re hopeless.”

“ We would need to dig a bigger hole, Lev has a pretty big head,” Kuroo mumbled as you excused yourself to step away.

As soon as you turned away from the boys, your smile dropped and Kuroo could visibly see how annoyed you were with the conversation.

It made Kuroo feel better that you didn’t like getting hit on but it wasn’t like you could stop them, they all thought you were single. If they would’ve known you were dating the captain of Nekoma, their advances would stop but that wasn’t an option at the moment.

You looked over at Kuroo and your whole demeanor shifted. You gave him a big smile before you looked away and pulled out your phone to text him.

Y/N: pls tell me you saw that- i couldn’t wait for that conversation to be over, lev and yamamoto are going to be the death of me

Tetsuro: trust me, they’ll wish they were dead once im done with them

Tetsuro: r u free rn? I checked this morning and the janitors closet is unlocked maybe we can sneak off to have some alone time ;)

You looked up from your phone and up towards Kuroo who had the biggest smirk on his face. Before you could text back, Nekoma’s manager announced that Nekoma was next up to play for court two.

Kuroo groaned out loud, of course the universe was against him.

Tetsuro: im sorry baby, maybe later tonight then?

Y/N: that’s fine - good luck!

You watched as Kuroo put his phone away and sent you a quick wink before heading over to the empty court.

For the rest of the day, you two hardly even had the chance to share a glance between each other. Whenever he was playing on a court, Karasuno had their own match and whenever he was free, you had manager duties with the other girls.

Even during dinner, you were so busy running around doing last-minute tasks before bed that Kuroo never got to say goodnight to you. By the time you finished, Kuroo was already in bed snoring away with his teammates.

In the middle of the night, you woke up to Tanaka kicking you in his sleep and in retaliation, you grabbed your pillow and swung it over his face.

Tanaka only grumbled and flipped to face the other way, still in deep sleep whereas you were now wide awake. You rubbed your tired eyes but as you tried to fall back asleep, all you could think about was how dry your mouth was.

You contemplated on getting water before you sat up from your sleeping bag and walked out of the room silently, trying your best not to step on any of the sleeping boys. Once you shut the door behind you, you made your way down the hallway to the water fountain in a tired manner.

You weren’t terrified of the dark but the thought of going down a dark hallway at a school you weren’t familiar with was unsettling to say the least and you wish you brought your phone for some light.

When you reach the water fountain, you bent down and as you started to drink the water, you felt like something was off. Before you could turn around, you felt something touch your waist and every hair on the back of your neck stood up.

You whipped around and when you saw a tall and dark figure, your first instinct was to scream and swing your arm out to defend yourself. You made contact with the figure and once you heard the groan, you knew exactly who it was.

“ Tetsuro! I’m sorry! I’m so sorry, you scared me! Are you okay!” You said as Kuroo held his cheek in pain.

He couldn’t believe you had actually punched him but he was even more surprised you landed a good punch in the dark,” See baby, I told you taking those boxing lessons would pay off but damn, you punch hard.”

“ You know you can’t sneak up on me like that, I’m jumpy!” You sighed as you squinted to see Kuroo’s face in the dark,” what are you doing up this late?”

Kuroo kept one hand on his throbbing cheek as the other reached down to pull out his phone,” I texted you to meet me in front of the janitors closet cause I wanted to have some quality time with my beautiful, sweet, girlfriend who I thought would never hurt me but instead of kisses, I got socked in the face!”

You knew Kuroo was only teasing you but you felt so guilty. You wrapped your arms around his large frame and pressed your face into his chest and apologized in a muffled tone,” I’m the worst girlfriend ever.”

Kuroo let out a laugh as he weaved his fingers through your bedhead and planted a kiss on the top of your head,” Don’t say that. If it makes you feel any better, you could always just knock out guys who try to hit on you now.”

You smiled up at your boyfriend as he took the chance to lean down and kiss you softly, his hands wrapped around your waist to pull you closer to him.

Kuroo smirked against your lips as you moved your hands up to lightly tug on his hair,” You know, the janitors closet locks from the inside.”

“ Are you suggesting we have sex in a dirty closet? What if someone walks by and hears us?”

“ Get your head out of the gutter, I never said anything about sex,” Kuroo acted shocked as he tucked a strand of hair before leaning down to whisper in your ear,” unless you think you can be quiet for me.”

You rolled your eyes as you grabbed Kuroo’s hand and led him into the janitors closet right beside the restrooms,” Whatever, we both know you’re the loud one.”

“ We’ll see about that kitten.”

The next morning, Kuroo went to practice normally but not without weird murmurs from his teammates. At first, he thought his secret was out and maybe you had left hickeys across his neck but it was an entirely different mark that he had forgotten about.

“ Woah, buddy, did you get into a fight? I’m pretty blind but I’m pretty sure you didn’t have that bruise at dinner yesterday,” Bokuto said in awe as he tried to touch the large bruise that was on Kuroo’s cheek,” that is a bruise! Akaashi, come look at this!”

Kuroo swatted his hand away and used his phone camera to get a better look at his face. Turns out, you had punched him way harder than he had initially thought.

Kuroo couldn’t even think of a lie in time so he tried to reveal as little as possible,” Who am I going to fight around here?”

“ I don’t know...has anyone seen Lev?” Akaashi asked right as Karasuno entered through the gym doors.

“Kuroo! Did you kill Lev? You can be honest with me I wouldn’t tell a soul!” Bokuto shouted loudly as a few heads turned in their direction.

Your ears perked up once you heard Kuroo’s name and as you turned to look over at the boys, your heart immediately dropped when you saw the bruise you had left Kuroo.

Without thinking, you dug into one of the coolers and pulled out an icepack, even though it was a little too late to ice it down.

You rushed over to Kuroo, not caring that some people had their attention on you as you pressed it against his face,” That looks really bad, I’m so- um what happened?”

“ Kuroo killed Lev!” Bokuto teased as Akaashi gave him a stern look that quickly shut him up.

You sighed as you looked up at Kuroo and bit the inside of your cheek before whispering softly,” I think we should tell everyone before you get in trouble. You know Nekoma has a no-tolerance policy for fighting and I don’t want it to be a rumor that you got into a fight with someone.”

“ I know, you’re right but can we wait until the rest of my teammates get here?” Kuroo asked as you gave him a confused look,” I want them to be jealous just for a bit.”

You shook your head with a smile as Kuroo placed his hand over yours that was holding up the icepack,” Okay, just for a bit.”

You both had planned this trip to the beach over a week ago; picking a day that you were both free and knew the weather would be great. This was to be a day for both of you to have fun and relax. Of course the entire team were invited to really make the most of the day, they needed the chance to unwind too.

When you all arrived at the beach and set up your own area to hang out and start having fun you blinked in surprise to see most of the guys strip down to their swimming trunks and make a beeline for one of the free beach volleyball nets while shouting out who would be on which team. Kuroo didn’t even give you a second look, his eyes set solely on the net. It wasn’t that you minded him playing it was the fact that he didn’t ask you to join them. Hell you would have taken a quick kiss on the cheek before he sprinted off, a sign that he hadn’t forgotten your presence was all you wanted.

Glancing back you saw Kenma perched on one of the beach chairs, he’d changed too but obviously had no interest in playing volleyball. His eyes were trained on the game console in hand. You didn’t want to disturb him and looked over to smirk as Yaku had wasted no time in deciding flirting with some girls would be more fun and you felt your presence would probably throw him off. Not wanting to spoil the mood you pulled off your tank top and shorts to show the red bikini with white polka dots you were wearing underneath.

Grabbing the sarong from your bag you tied it around your waist only now noticing that Kenma’s game was silent you looked to see your boyfriend’s best friend staring at you, a small dusting of pink on his cheeks which you pretended not to notice. “Not that he will but if Kuroo asks, I’ve gone for a walk.” You said dropping your sunglasses from your head to settle over your eyes as you began to walk along the warm sand in the opposite direction of Kuroo.

When they stopped for a break the guys went to one of the coolers brought and grabbed a drink. By now Yaku had returned from his flirting and had been sunbathing while Kenma hadn’t budged from his seat. Only now did Kuroo spot what was wrong with the picture. With a frown he looked around, eyes drifting to the water in case you’d gone for a swim. “She went for a walk.” Kenma spoke up, not needing to look away from his screen to know what was going through his best friend’s mind. “She told me to tell ‘Kuroo’ if he asked.” The others winced and Kuroo felt nervous. You’d been together for so long that you only ever called him by his last name if you were annoyed at him.

Then from a short distance away they all heard cheering and your name. All attention turned in the direction of the commotion. Their eyes widened, jaws dropping in unison as they saw you in your bikini for the first time. To make things worse they watched your lithe form diving to successfully receive the ball spiked towards your side of the net and you hit the sand with a laugh. Your receive let your teammate deliver the winning spike and your game was finished. Kuroo tore his gaze from you to the spectators-mostly male he noted- eyeing you and he felt his eye twitch. Then you had to let one of them help pull you to your feet, his fingers lingering on your arm just a little too long for his liking. You laughed at something the guy had said and you looked down at your sand dusted form. Innocently you removed the sarong from your waist and shook off the sand before using it to wipe the remnants on your skin all while your admirers watched intently.

Unable to hold back anymore he crossed the sand closing in on you. At his approach you lowered your sunglasses to look over the rim at him. “Ah Kuroo, this is Sato, Ikeda, and Hara.” You introduced with a beaming smile. “They were so kind to invite me to play with them when they saw me on my own, wasn’t that nice of them?” Your tone was playful and light but Kuroo swiftly felt the sharpness of your point, the jealousy he’d felt brewing was now mixing with the stronger sense of guilt.

“Thanks for keeping her company guys,” he said not looking anywhere but you. Swiftly he took the sarong from your loosened grasp and draped it around your shoulders before pulling you close against his chest. His lips captured yours insistently. He would admit part of it was to make a point to the admirers who might have had deluded themselves into thinking you were single but mostly his kiss was to show you how much he loved you. “How ‘bout some one on one time? You can call me a dumbass the whole time.” “Oh Tetsu, you are a dumbass.” You laughed out before pressing a quick kiss on his lips “but you’re my dumbass.” You added as you ducked under his arm as you started walking back to the rest of the Nekoma team, allowing him a full view of you in your bikini as he gave chase.

Bokuto

The trip was like everything with Bokuto, spontaneous. The sun was out, you were both free so it was decided the day would be spent with the beach. As you got your stuff together you heard Bokuto on the phone to the rest of the Fukurodani team and the managers to tell them where to meet you. Your excitement at the prospect of it just being you and Bokuto did deflate a little but as you listened to him ramble about how awesome it was going to be with everyone your mood picked up quickly once more.

While the guys went to find a place on the beach for you all, you and the two managers went to change into your swimsuits. When you emerged the two girls squealed; being so unused to Bokuto’s quieter half dressed the way you were. Immediately you became self-conscious and bit your lower lip looking down at the black bikini decorated with a golden feather pattern. It showed off your form perfectly but now you wondered should you go back and change. However both girls grabbed you hands and dragged you out into the sunshine in search of the guys.

By the time you, Yukie, and Kaori arrived the three of you had already amassed an interested following. Mostly it was just long appreciative stares but on the walk some did try to approach but the two managers were quick to brush them off as they kept their arms looped through yours protectively. “Hey, hey, hey!” Yukie called out playfully when she spotted the guys already playing with a volleyball, passing it idly from one to the other. At the signature call they all looked over. Bokuto’s golden eyes widened along with his grin when he saw you, shamelessly looking your bikini and your exposed skin. He was the luckiest guy on earth, he seriously wondered sometimes how he managed to get a girl like you but so long as you were happy to be with him he wasn’t going to question it.

However Bokuto’s focus being solely on you meant he failed to spot all of the looks aimed your way from strangers on the beach. Well he noticed a few stares but to him that was natural, you were gorgeous why wouldn’t you get looked at? What he truly failed to pick up on was the true meaning behind the stares and before that could become apparent Konoha challenging the others to a chicken fight distracted him. Eyes shining, Bokuto grabbed your hand and grinned at you excitedly. “Want to play babe? Together we can’t lose!”

“I’ll play later,” you promised with a large smile, your previous nervousness about how you were dressed had melted away. “I want to soak up as much sun as I can first. You go on though.” That was all Bokuto needed to hear. After giving you a kiss he turned and bolted down towards the sea with the others wanting to play while shouting he was going to win. Laughing at his antics you settled onto the beach chair to read the book you brought and enjoy the sun’s warmth.

Unfortunately other people had very different ideas. Even with some of the guys playing nearby and Kaori and Yukie lounging in their seats on either side of you, guys still approached in the hopes of flirting with you, inviting you to go get a drink or snack, or wanting to know if you wanted to go for a walk or swim with them. Kind as ever you let each person down, your friends letting you handle yourself knowing only to step in should things take a turn. Thankfully everyone seemed understanding enough and left without much hassle.

On the one hand it was nice to be complimented but when it was incessant, each new approach chipped away at your relaxed, cheerful mood to the point you felt tense and on edge just waiting for the next ‘excuse me’ or not-so subtle clearing of a throat to get your attention. Grumbling to yourself you snapped your book shut no longer able to immerse yourself in the story and fished out your mp3 player. Headphones in and music playing you got comfy and closed your eyes already hidden by your sunglasses. Why hadn’t you done this sooner?

Down by the sea Bokuto hadn’t witnessed any of the attention you were getting but the others did to the point they started to make it their main line of conversation. At first Bokuto thought it was their strategy to distract him enough so they could win against him. “Can you blame people from wanting to talk to her? She’s funny and beautiful. She’s the best!” “I don’t think talking is all these guys have on their mind…” Akaashi finally spoke up and when he heard his best friend’s insistence that they were telling him the true he took it a little more seriously all the while trying to ignore the twisting in his stomach. “Look she can handle herself. She’s stronger than other people give her credit for.” He stated with a final shove against Konoha, sending him toppling off Komi’s shoulders and into the water. His victory cheer was cut short when he heard two guys talking as they walked by.

“Ugh, what I wouldn’t give to have a girl like that!” one told his friend who nodded solemnly. “Think her boyfriend was one of the ones close by?” “Possibly, maybe that’s why she said no so quickly. When they leave we could try again with her?” “Good idea!” the friend grinned before sighing wistfully. “Until then I have the memory of seeing her in her black bikini up close.”

Bokuto sprang into action faster than the others anticipated; sprinting up the beach he stopped beside your chair and in one effortless movement he scooped you and the towel you were lying on into his arms. You squealed in surprise and opened your eyes to see Bokuto lie down on the chair and settle you and the towel over him.

Both of you settled into a comfy position, your head tucked under his chin while he had one arm around you, his hand resting on your thigh while you absently played with the fingers of his other. “You win baby?” you asked with a content hum. A grin spread on your lips when his pressed against your head. “Damn right I did.”

Semi

The beach had been your idea and Semi jumped at the chance. He couldn’t wait to have you to himself for once. He’d only recently noticed that his team would always be around you both. Yes, they couldn’t help that you liked to watch their practices but outside of that and school? Some of them were there hanging out too. One person in particular that was always there was Ushijima.

Normally he wouldn’t mind as he never saw Ushijima as a threat against his already established relationship but it wasn’t until Tendou pointed out how you and the ace interacted that he finally saw it.

Honestly how had he not seen the glaringly obvious sooner? You were the only one that Ushijima smiled at. You were a naturally affectionate person to begin with but Ushijima would reciprocate your affection when it went his way. You both even had some sort of inside jokes that he and no one else got. Seriously to an outsider it would look like you and Ushijima were the couple. Deep down Semi felt that made more sense. You and the ace of the academy were ten’s, he on the other hand felt like a six on a good day.

“Hey sweetie guess what?” you grinned snapping him out of his thoughts as he got out of the car to see you looking at your phone. “Toshi and the rest of the team found out we were heading here today and want to join in on the fun!” “They’re crashing another date?” Semi asked a little too harshly making your smile fall slightly. He took a long deep breath and pinched the bridge of his nose. It wasn’t your fault. You hadn’t invited them but he would bet money that when they asked if they could come you said yes without any hesitation. Rubbing the back of his neck he muttered a sharp ‘whatever’ and stepped onto the sand.

By the time the team arrived and found you both they could feel the tension. When asked what was wrong you could only shrug while Semi insisted that everything was fine. You scowled at that, knowing it was a blatant lie but said nothing. When it had been just the two of you, you’d tried to get Semi to open up to you and tell you what was bothering him but he refused to the point he lost his temper and shouted at you. You blinked suddenly when Ushijima stood in front of you, eyeing you seriously. “Want to go swim? I’m surprised you haven’t gone near the water yet since you love it so much.”

You failed to notice Semi’s clenched fist at the invitation and display that once again Ushijima knew something about you that he didn’t. With a smile and nod you stood and undid the tie of your dress, letting it hit the sand as you stood out of it revealing to everyone the deep purple bikini with black straps. Semi’s face burned and his eyes widened at the sight and watched as you headed to the water with Ushijima by your side, everyone watching you go as you passed by. “Now do you want to talk about it?” Tendou sang innocently at him.

It wasn’t long before he heard your laughter and his sharp brown eyes finally took in the scene with a hardened glare. Ushijima was holding you in the air, his hands shamelessly on your waist before he lifted you into the air and let you cannonball into the water. When you broke through the surface of the water with a grin he could hear you chanting ‘higher Toshi!’ It pained and angered him to see you so joyful and carefree because of someone else. Why couldn’t you see what was bothering him so badly? Oh right because you weren’t a mind reader.

Just as he stood to go and talk to you rationally he saw Ushijima move his hands from your waist to your thighs to lift you out of the water and place you to stand on his shoulder. Jealousy spiking and patience snapping Semi growled and charged down to water. “Wakatoshi!” he called out tightly when you broke through the water’s surface. Your smile fell and you looked at your boyfriend warily. Ushijima stared at his friend. “Tendou wants you.” was all he said. Not questioning the statement, Ushijima nodded and left the water.

When he was gone Semi looked at you still tense and riled up. “Why am I not good enough for you?” he asked and you had to check your ears for any water in case you’d misheard him. “Ita what is wrong with you?” you demanded stepping out of the water to stand in front of him, arms crossed against your soaked chest. “What’s made you think you’re not good enough? Why are you being so pissy about our friends hanging out? They’ve been this way since we got together and that was months ago. Why is it suddenly bugging you that they have no sense of personal space?” “You definitely don’t mind ‘Toshi’ and his lack of personal space…” you blinked at your boyfriend’s accusation and you couldn’t help but laugh. “Don’t.” he whispered, the last thing he wanted was to be laughed at for feeling lesser.

He flinched when you stepped closer, your body against his as you cupped his face to make him look you in the eyes. Semi saw your adoration for him shining and it was only made clearer when you hugged him tightly. “Idiot. I only laughed because Toshi is my cousin.” Semi reeled back and stared at you in bewilderment. “I know Toshi wouldn’t think to say we were related but I thought Tendou had already told you.” Semi was going to kill that red-headed monster but you pressed a kiss against his clenched jaw.

“I only have eyes for you. You know you’re sexy when you’re jealous…” you hummed against his skin, smirking when his hands trailed over your back and down to your hips. “Speaking of sexy…” Semi uttered with a smirk of his own against your lips. “I’m loving the bikini.” With a grin he grabbed you and threw you over his shoulder before wading waist high into the water and throwing you in as you screamed out with laughter.

Oikawa

“Oi why are the ones who invited us here the last to arrive?” Iwaizumi asked, his eyes narrowing in on Oikawa as he walked towards him. His head tilted curiously when he was his best friend and biggest annoyance in life was approaching the team alone. His posture was relaxed so he doubted she was far behind. Oikawa gave his best friend his usual playful smile as he took one of the free seats.

“The best looking people have to make the best entrances, Iwa.” He stated as if it was the obvious answer before he looked around the group with a smirk. “So who was the first to arrive?” a swift hit to the head with a clenched fist was answer enough. As he began to chat casually with his team he frowned when Kindaichi started to choke on his own words. He stared at his junior as his face turned red and eyes widened. Kunimi followed his friend’s stare and his usually bored expression took on one similar to the stuttering boy.

Slowly the others stopped their own conversations to see what the fuss was about and Iwaizumi cleared his throat while Hanamaki let out a low chuckle, clapping Oikawa on the back. “Well for once you were right. The best looking definitely make the best entrances.” Oikawa barely took in his words as he stared at you approaching, looking like the goddess you were. His eyes roamed over the aqua blue bikini adorning your body, when you were settling into the space on the seat he’d made for you to sit against him he noted the white outline of stars on the fabric.

Noting that the others were still staring at you he pouted and threw his arms around you in a playful display of possession. “Go get your own girls.” He taunted at them while sticking out his tongue at his friends while you laughed at your boyfriend’s antics.

“Nooo keep staring!” you pleaded with the boys while cuddling into Oikawa’s hold. “It’s so rare to see Toru jealous even if he is pretending. Makes a nice change from it being me all the time.” You grinned up at your boyfriend who stared at you blankly. “That’s ridiculous, you shouldn’t feel that way. Don’t you trust me?” he asked trying to lighten the mood and you arched an eyebrow at him. Was he serious? “Of course I trust you.” You said sitting up straighter and moving so his hold around you wasn’t so tight. “Toru think about how many times your fangirls have swarmed you and I’ve had to smile and watch and say nothing. I do that because I trust you. Think about how many waitresses have flirted with you when we’ve been out and I left the table for a second. How many numbers have been slipped to you when they think I was gone long enough. I’ve pretended not to see that or you trying to get rid of the paper before I come back into view because I trust you.”

You started to get upset as you slowly got to your feet. “I bet if you walked ten steps on this beach some girl would come and bat her eyelashes at you. I know it’s going to happen and I know you’ll let them down because we love each other and I trust you completely but don’t you dare imply that my feelings are ridiculous.” Roughly you ran your hand through your hair and looked at the rest of the group who looked awkward and stared at anywhere that wasn’t you or a gobsmacked Oikawa. “Sorry for ruining the mood guys. I’m going to get some ice cream.” You mumbled before walking away.

Before he could wallow his chair was roughly kicked out from under him. Wincing he glared at Iwaizumi who glared back at him ferociously. “IDIOT! GO AFTER HER!” He shouted hauling his clueless best friend to his feet. “She’s better looking than you at the best of time. Every guy on this beach will have been eyeing her up since she arrived.” “Add in that bikini…” Hanamaki added with pursed lips. “And the fact that she’s upset and alone…” Matsukawa dealt the finishing blow and Oikawa took off after you.

You didn’t get very far before the first group of guys came into your space and Oikawa saw as they all smiled at you and talked gesturing to the small space they’d previously been sitting at. He saw how you shook your head and wiped your eyes. One tried to step closer and put a hand out to you but you swiftly stepped out of his reach and firmly shook your head again before walking away.

Oikawa glared at the group as they continued to watch your retreating figure. Sharply he clicked his tongue and continued after you, closing the distance because of course you were dragged into a conversation by someone. Thankfully it was just one guy this time, definitely less intimidating to you than the group that had practically encircled you. Sadly though this guy had only one thing on his mind and Oikawa could see that from the way he looked at you, trying to be subtle about where his gaze would linger before returning it to your face. He was still a little ways away so couldn’t swoop in and rescue you. All he could do was watch you shaking him off politely before you continued on your way. Through all these interactions you were slowly becoming angrier that you couldn’t just get some ice cream.

Then you stopped when you heard the wailing. Looking down you gasped to see you’d ruined a little boy’s sandcastle. Forgetting everything else you knelt down to apologise and help the boy build a bigger and better castle. By now Oikawa was a few feet away and watched you give the boy a high five when the castle was finished. Even this little snake was after you and Oikawa watched as the boy kissed your cheek with a grin.

Jealousy already boiling in his skin from being unable to save you previously this was the last straw and he appeared scooping you into his arms as he stared in triumph at his confused and much younger opponent. “If you’re looking for a Queen for your castle shorty look somewhere else.” He teased the boy while holding you close against his chest. Immediately you sensed the difference in your boyfriend’s declaration and the way he held you compared to earlier. This wasn’t playful, this time he was deadly seriously. “This one’s taken.” He said as he carried you away and towards the snack stand. “Never thought it’d be a six year old that’d make you jealous…” you said with a small sigh as he set you on your feet but kept a firm hand around your waist as you walked. “Was all the others too.” Oikawa grumbled surprising you. “I’m sorry I was so dismissive of your feelings. Jealousy is the worst.” “You were right though, while it doesn’t go away fully it does help when you know you can trust the other completely to say no...and rescue you when needed.”

it’s ancient greek! it means homecoming, the idea of a triumphant return home for the hero after a long journey. i found it through looking at the root of nostalgia. in this fic of course it’s kind of a grim tongue in cheek play on it. the reader’s coming back to the mountains, but she’s running away after a bad breakup, and the welcome she gets is... shall we say less than ideal haha

ty nonnie!! i didn’t have the right space for it, but after kohsuke was ripped apart and eaten kuroo stayed by the reader’s side until late in the night, only disappearing when he heard the reader’s parents/search party approaching. they found her lying in pools of blood (and scattered half eaten body parts), shaking and unresponsive – they knew no animal could’ve done something like that. so they knew something lurked in those woods, but considering the reader had repressed the memories, her mom couldn’t just come out and say it <33

kush mascara by milk makeup: you can't convince me that this girl isn't exhausted from the antics of johzenji, which makes this mascara perfect for her! the consistency is on the creamy/dry side so a couple quick swipes will get you the full lash. plus it's infused w some cannabis oil so it makes ur lash healthier (but terushima will definitely try to do some experiments w this so please hana guard it safely)

lash next door by brooklyn and bailey: ok ok so my fav thing about this mascara is that it's not waterproof so it's easy to take off, but it's water resistant so that it won't come off when you're all sweaty!! literally perfect for intense practices, and the wand is similar to lcm by tarte so they wield pretty similar results; sweet, curled, lengthened lashes!! and DOES NOT FLAKE it's literally a life saver

alisa haiba

liquid lash extensions by thrive: this mascara definitely the one i use the most! It’s unique in the sense that it’s a tubing mascara, so it’s water resistant which is great for alisa because she keeps tearing up every time lev messes up a serve (we stan a responsible sis) BUT it’s also very easily removed! just splash some warm water and the mascara literally slides right off im not even kidding. she definitely takes really good care of her appearance and will be sad even if she sees one eyelash fall so this is really great for her bc waterproof mascara is such a pain in the ass to remove. also very lengthening

lash multiplier by revlon: mika is a baddie!! but daishou makes her cry so much she has to rebuy a tube like every month. so our lovely mika gets something easy, cheap, and has a good effect for puppy eyes. this mascara is just like the liquid lash extension; a tubing mascara,,,HOWEVER this one is WAY CHEAPER. u can def find this at ur local drugstore for like 6-8 bucks. great for on the go since it's easy to apply super fast, will get u a nice full fringe in like 3 swipes.

kuroo overexfoliated when he was 16 and that’s when he decided to get into skincare 🤡 but you’re really the one who ties it all together and finishes it 😤 has a bunch of blackheads and is hesitant about using acids but trusts you when you rec a bha (salicylic) and to his surprise it works!! you teach other about ingredients and formulations (more teaching on your end since he’s such an overachiever and is in a million different things) but his skin really goes 🌺🌺 when he’s got a routine down.

Your Haikyuu!! Match: Akaashi Keiji!

He wasn’t quite sure how this came to be, or even what kindof coincidence this was, but he knew that this encounter was almost impossible; it was like something out of amanga. Akaashi was studying abroad, and was out looking for some peace and quiet. That was until he saw a man, maybe around 30years old, trying his hardest to talk in English to a female, andfailing miserably. The man seemed slightly inebriated, and his accent soundedto be a bit Japanese, and the girl was getting annoyed very quickly with theman’s clingy drunken anger. Akaashi made a split-second decision, and spoke tothe two, asking if the man spoke Japanese. The man turned to Akaashi andreplied with a slobbery ‘yesh’. Akaashi sighed, and asked in Japanese what was going on,and the man explained that he needed to get back to the bar, but got lost. He asked for the man’s phone, inserted the number for a taxi and calledfor the taxi to pick the drunken man up. With a nod to the stumbling man, heturned back to the other, younger female and spoke in English to ask you if youwere alright, and if you had calmed down, too. Only now did he get a close lookat the pretty female; your long hair and brown eyes looked almost magical underthe light of the street lamp. He introduced himself, and you responded in kind. You still looked annoyed with the whole incident, so Akaashi took theopportunity to ask if you’d like to sit and talk for a bit. After that night,Akaashi saw you around town often, talking to each time he saw you. He found you to be troublesome at first (almost as bad as Bokuto), but slowly found your attitude to be a focal point in his days abroad, and would often walk around town looking for you. He realized one day, while texting Bokuto, that he had fallen for you. The next day he confessed and you accepted him, and went for a little walk to laugh and talk until it was too late at night. He wasn’t sure about a long distance relationship before, but after meeting you, he definitely thought it was possible. He was looking forward to the next coming months he would get to spend with you.

*He loves to give you attention (whether he tries it or not is another thing) he often spouts facts like “your hair is pretty” and then petting your head “I didn’t know that you could do that. It’s pretty cool.” , “The sun looks really nice against your skin.” or “I like to hear your voice...it’s pretty.”

*He likes how strong (mentally and physically) you are, and really admires that about you (will probably never tell you that to your face, though)

*PDA is anything you want it to be. Seeing as you guys met outside of Japan, he is more open to PDA than he would be back home. He really likes to hold your hands, and he likes to give you kisses when it hits him.

*While your relationship in the streets is that you are the strong one in the relationship, it is the complete opposite in the bedroom. Akaashi likes to take control of you guys’ alone time. He doesn’t mind that you’re hypersexual, and will help you out whenever you need it (even if he’s tired that day, or doesn’t feel like having sex, he will find other ways to satisfy you) he has nice fingers, he is a setter after all

* Akaashi is really good at dissolving dangerous situations with his quick, witty comments and uses it around you a lot. When he sees you getting angry or frustrated, he usually shoots a quick comment to the offender and it silences them. (ALSO if you need comforting later, boy will sit in silence with you in his arms until you calm down)

Chapter 1

“Here you go, one black coffee.”

“Thank you, Kuroo-san.” Akaashi took the steaming mug from Kuroo’s hand.

Kuroo slid onto the sofa across from Akaashi. He eyed the younger boy as he added sugar sachet into his coffee. “How do you even drink that thing? It’s blacker than my soul.”

The corner of Akaashi’s lips twitched slightly. “At least it’s sweeter.”

“Yeah?” Kuroo leered, “how’d you know that?”

“Usually I have high tolerance for bitterness, but I can’t tolerate being with you for more than necessary,” Akaashi retorted without missing a beat.

Kuroo snorted. “Smartass.”

For a moment, they fell into mutual silence as they both sipped their drinks. And it was not an uncomfortable one either. Despite the frequent banters and differences in their personalities, Kuroo actually enjoyed their time together. And it turned out that they have many things in common like music preferences and favorite movies.

It was Bokuto who introduced Akaashi to Kuroo. The boy had been so formal Kuroo had thought he was actually a sixty-year-old in disguise, a fine sixty-year-old with flawless skin, strong bone and pretty face. But hey, he had watched Orphan so who knew.

At first Kuroo couldn’t understand why Bokuto favored the kid he practically dragged him everywhere. But when he saw it firsthand how Akaashi handled Bokuto’s mood swing and dealing with his most ridiculous whines, it became crystal clear. His teammates even called him ‘The Owl Tamer’.

And one more thing that intrigued Kuroo was despite his formal and polite attitude, once Akaashi opened his mouth he spoke fluent sarcasm.

The three of them used to hang out together even outside match practice (four, if Kuroo could drag Kenma along). But since Bokuto moved abroad to continue his study in America, they rarely see each other anymore. He was surprised when Akaashi suddenly asked him to meet up.

Speaking of which…

“So,” Kuroo began, “The reason wh-”

He was interrupted by squall of teenage girls clustered on the corner of the café, two tables away from them.

“I know right! It was really scary. Was it a murder?” the one with ponytail asked her friends.

“No,” the one with pixy haircut, chimed in. “My friend in Fukurodani said that it was suicide case.”

At the mention of Fukurodani, Kuroo and Akaashi glanced at them.

“Is it really that hard to be a teacher?” squeaked the girl with glasses. Her timid face looked concern.

“Maybe he got other problems outside his job,” the pixie girl said. She rubbed the timid girl’s shoulder. “You’ll do just fine, Amy.”

Kuroo frowned. “Are they talking about your teacher?”

Akaashi nodded. “Akihito sensei.”

“I think I remembered it on the news.” With the hectic schedule of his college and new part time job, Kuroo didn’t really pay much attention on what’s on the news.

“Yeah it was everywhere.” A pause, “but after three days it was just gone.”

“What do you mean gone?”

“It was literally everywhere. Newspaper, TV, Radio, Internet. But suddenly, they just stopped reporting it.”

“Maybe they thought it was no longer interesting? You know how news works.”

Akaashi shook his head. “More like someone deliberately erased it from the media.”

Kuroo’s eyebrows shot upward. “Kid, I think you’ve watched too many conspiracy movies.”

Akaashi regarded him with narrow eyes.

“Okay,” Kuroo held up his hands, “so tell me about this mysterious teacher, was there anything wrong with him?”

“Not really,” Akaashi mused, “he was a chemistry teacher. I didn’t think he had any problem with the students, he was a good teacher. He was transferred to my school the same year I was accepted in Fukurodani. I didn’t really know him well enough, but I’m sure he didn’t look suicidal.”

“Well kid, who knows what’s on one’s mind.”

“Stop calling me ‘kid’, how old are you anyway?” Akaashi scowled.

Kuroo smirked. “So why did the police conclude it was a suicide case?” he asked instead.

“They found him hanged in his house.”

Kuroo frowned, “who found the body?”

“They didn’t say it on the news.”

“When was it?”

“The day Bokuto-san left.”

It was subtle, but Kuroo glimpsed a slight twitch on Akaashi’s fingers. The younger boy’s shoulders tensed. Kuroo gazed at him. Hard to tell through Akaashi’s stoic face, but he could sense that Akaashi was restless once Bokuto’s name was said.

“Akaashi,” Kuroo steepled his fingers together, “why did you ask to meet me?”

Akaashi’s eyes flicked away. His hand stirring his now cold black coffee. “Have you heard anything from Bokuto-san?”

“No,” a pause, “have you?”

“No,” Akaashi sighed. His shoulders drooped slowly.

Kuroo had never seen Akaashi so dejected, and it took him aback when there was a pang in his heart at the sight of Akaashi being so hopeless.

“But he did email me once.” Kuroo said finally.

Akaashi looked up, eyes wide. “Can I see it? Please?”

Kuroo pulled out his phone from his jeans pocket and opened the email app. He got the email a week ago. It was a brief message.

Bro, I broke my phone. Been busy here. Ill call u when I got new one.

That was the only interaction he got from Bokuto since he left.

He handed his phone to Akaashi.

Akaashi read the email once. Then read it again. And again.

“I tried to email him back,” Kuroo said, “but he never replied.”

Akaashi’s face fell and Kuroo mentally kicked himself. “Why didn’t he email me?”

“Maybe he’s really busy there,” Kuroo suggested lamely. “You know how hard it is to settle down in new environment.”

“This is not like Bokuto-san.”

“Hey,” Kuroo touched Akaashi’s hand, “give him some time, he’ll contact you sooner or later.”

Six months after that, there was only one more email Kuroo received since then. Different email address, but Bokuto attached his picture in it, a selfie of him in a dimly lit room. The wall behind him was yellowish dirty white, peeled off on some corners. There was a stainless steel table beside him, but nothing on it. Nothing to indicate exactly where he was.

Bokuto was wearing plain, rumple black shirt. His hair a bit longer and messily tousled like he just rolled out of bed. He did look tired. There were bags under his eyes and his cheekbones looked more prominent. But he smiled warmly to the camera.

The email was as brief as before:

Srrsly busy here, but im fine. Pls tell akaashi i miss him.

Kuroo tried to message him back countless time. Each message was harsher than the last.

Bo what have u been doing?

Dude, srrsly answer me!

Goddammit bokuto, if u rlly mean it tell akaashi yourself!

If u dont answer me, asshole, istg ill find ur ‘busy’ ass, kick the shit out of u, and drag u fucking home!

Bo, please answer me

Bokuto, I saw him cried. He really misses you. We really miss you.

All with no avail. Bokuto never messaged him back even once. In the end, Kuroo just gave up trying altogether.

And even though he hated it and how much he thought Bokuto didn’t deserve it, Kuroo let Akaashi kept the picture. Then he hated himself even more as he saw Akaashi’s heart crumbled over and over whenever he stared longingly at it.
