daniel ricciardo please tell me charles did not get into an argument with carlos.
teagan horner charles did not get into an argument with carlos. carlos got into an argument with him, two very different things.
max verstappen what was the argument even about?
charles leclerc doesn't matter it was bullshit.
mark webber clearly not, if you two came to blows.
pierre gasly carlos said he was shit driver and and that he only had the red bull seat because he was 'fucking horner's slut daughter' or that was the tailend of what i heard.
pierre gasly not to mention he punched teagan in face because she stood in front of charles hoping to stop the situation.
alex albon well i'll be damned.
yuki tsunoda so we all follow that one gossip account? because i know none of you were near when this happened.
liam lawson i do. how else am i supposed to find out that fernando alonso was visited by taylor swift last week in austin? daniel ricciardo it's fun to follow them. one time they said max and i were hooking up, we weren’t, but i liked the tweet to fuel them more. pr was not happy that week.
mark webber christian's been awfully quite this entire time.
max verstappen we're planning on how to torpedo into carlos in brazil. i'm the sacrifice because i've already won the championship. checo perez he supposed to fail at getting pole position in quali next week to end up behind carlos. sebastian vettel pulling a kvyat i see, i respect it max verstappen the only time i'll do something like kvyat. yuki tsunoda HE PUNCHED TEAGAN?! WHAT THE HELL?? WHERE IS THIS MAN?!
liam lawson yuki, think about your actions. charles is getting fined for what you’re thinking about doing (i think)
yuki tsunoda do i look like i give a fuck?
pierre gasly we ride at dawn!
mark webber you two are perfect for each other
sebastian vettel YOU’RE IN A MEETING GET OFF YOUR PHONE GASLY!!!
yuki tsunoda that should be your sign gasly, come back to alpha tauri! daniel can take your seat at alpine
daniel ricciardo hell no. i saw what they did to my fellow aussie, oscar. do you think i wanna get sued by them?
teagan horner we’re back, carlos is still pissed but so is my dad.
mark webber how’s your face after that punch?
teagan horner i have a sick black eye. i look like i got in a bar fight. i got the proper texas experience. christian horner this isn't a laughing matter teagan. you could've been seriously hurt. sebastian vettel he's right teagan, it could've escalated to something worse. max verstappen so is the plan still on to crash into carlos or not?
charles leclerc not, i want to do it. who gives a fuck on where i end up in the drivers championship, i'm already p7. let me do it brocedes style.
daniel ricciardo ah, 2016 spainsh grand prix, those were good days.
sebastian vettel you got p4 and max won daniel ricciardo they were good days because both mercedes dnf'd
max verstappen he won't do it
sergio perez i'll gladly help, we can have a repeat of yesterday.
charles leclerc deal and sorry about that, again.
sergio perez it could've happened to anyone, besides it was my fault
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
alex albon so...talk about a dramatic brazilian gp
lewis hamilton why is it always thing 1 or thing 2 starting the awkward conversations? lando norris they have nothing better to do alex albon listen here you muppet!
logan sargeant (i'm so sorry lewis) it's giving brocedes 2.0
nico hulkenberg be grateful you weren't around then sargeant. those were dark times.
lewis hamilton i feel like you're being a little dramatic about it.
kevin magnussen we aren't. everyone walked on eggshells because of you two. toto could never seem to catch a break.
fernando alonso it seems you're the old one lewis, if your memory is failing already.
lando norris kinda surprised it took this long for those two to go at it a la brocedes
charles leclerc i was sandwiched, what was i supposed to do? crash into checo for the second time in a row?
carlos sainz not crash into me. you had no problem crashing into sergio last week.
charles leclerc well, checo is the one retiring this year, not you. you'll have plenty more races.
carlos sainz since when do you call him checo?
carlos sainz and i was on pole! i could've won!
max verstappen at charles' expense no less
george russell "horrified looks from everyone in the room"
daniel ricciardo i don't know if i should be impressed that you know taylor swift lyrics lance stroll coming from the guy who sang our song in an interview word for word last month. daniel ricciardo at least i wasn't the one spamming the groupchat with taylonso memes
lewis hamilton how did this become the mess it has?
fernando alonso this is the only time i will ever wish sebastian was still driving. at least he could control these baboons.
nico hulkenberg who are you calling a baboon, nando?
fernando alonso if the shoe fits, nico, if the shoe fits

LAS VEGAS 2023
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
pierre gasly i will be throwing hands with fred and the rest of ferrari’s f1 team, starting with carlos.
alex albon but we gotta give charles credit, defying team orders the way he did in vegas? respect, it further proves ferrari would keep sacrificing his race even if he was on pole and leading the majority of the race.
liam lawson what did we expect? it's ferrari, and that strategy was a shit one, even i know that. charles had been leading for 35/50 laps and they wanted him to let carlos through? who was down in p6? yuki tsunoda ferrari has shit for brains pierre gasly and it's not like carlos would've been able to make it past checo, oscar, danny, and max to get the win. in the end, lando and alex overtook him, alex who's in a williams! you would've given me a few more laps and i could've overtaken him.
daniel ricciardo also, rumor has it that piero ferrari is like super pissed they let charles go.
mark webber of course he’s pissed, charles was their golden boy, he won monza. the first to do so since 2010 when fernando had won.
liam lawson i think the biggest fuck you to ferrari would be having charles win both monza and imola
sebastian vettel i like this kid, where did christian find you?
pierre gasly outside of yuki’s home. he picked him up by the scruff of his neck and said, “i want you to be our reserve driver at alpha tauri” liam lawson he found me in a dumpster outside of his home. sebastian vettel i hate both of you
teagan horner i thank god everyday that there is only one race left until the season is over
Tumblr media
¡leclerc-s speaks! would carlos ever act like this? probably not, doesn't mean i'm going to stop writing it this way. i think people react in different ways when they're hurt and unfortunately in this fic carlos is lashing out. don't worry, i'm going to fix their relationship, just not for now, i like drama. would any of these events happen irl, no way, but what's the fun in fanfic if you can't exaggerate events at least a little?
¡disclaimer! this is in no way making assumptions about the people involved in this story, this is all fake. it is a fanfiction please don't take any of what is said seriously. this is all for entertainment purposes and as a creative outlet for me. enjoy!

Welcome to Colney (Leah Williamson x reader)
Tumblr media
Summer 2022 changed your life. Winning the Copa América wasn’t new to you nor the Brazilian national team but this year was the first tournament where you was the captain of your team. It was an honour and a privilege to wear the armband but it came with pressure and responsibilities that you weren’t expecting. Your performance caught the eyes of several clubs but one stood out from the rest, Arsenal. The decision to move to the legendary English club was made easier when Rafa told you they made her an offer too. It was chance to play football with your best friend at club level for the first time in your careers.
“Are you nervous?” Rafa asked as you pulled up to the training facilities. There would be no training today but the club wanted to celebrate the players who had been crowned champions over the summer.
You shake your head.
“Not even to play with a new team in a new country?”
Truth is you were nervous about learning a new style but you also knew you had to lead by example.
“I welcome the challenge”
“Of course you do”
You arrived to find the entire team, both men and women, outside the front of the building. The sight itself was a little bit daunting but you would let them know that.
“Y/N! Rafaelle!” Jonas is the first to spot you and calls you over.
He introduces you to the team but there seems to be one person missing; your English counterpart Leah Williamson.
It is only when you see Beth Mead and Lotte Wubben-Moy sporting their medals do you realise that you have left yours in the car. Rafa volunteers to go them and in her absence you find yourself gravitating towards your fellow Brazilians on the men’s team.
You are so deep in conversation with Gabi that you don’t realise the women’s team has gathered for a photo.
“Desculpe” you quickly run over where you are instructed to stand in the middle.
Seconds before the photo is taken you feel a hand grab your waist and it sends a shockwave through your body. When you turn to face the owner of said hand you see a shy looking blonde with flushed cheeks.
“I’m Leah” she holds her hand out for you to shake once the photographer says she’s happy for the shots she has.
“Y/N” you shake her hand, a motion in itself lasts a little longer than it did with everyone else “It’s a pleasure to meet you Leah”
There’s something about the minuscule moment you had just shared but you couldn’t put your finger on it.
“We’re very lucky to have you here at Arsenal. I can’t wait to play with you”
“I’m sure you’ll be playing more with Rafa but I look forward to sharing the pitch with you”
It was a compliment face off. It's clear both of you are fans of each other but it is when Beth wanders over do you realise just how big of fan Leah is.
“I see you’ve met your biggest fan” Beth wraps her arms around Leah’s shoulder “Leah here couldn’t stop talking about you when we found out you had signed”
Leah’s face said it all. The embarrassment was clear but you liked it. What you didn’t like was the way Rafa appeared out of nowhere and joined in Beth’s game of expose my captain.
“Oh please, don’t act like you aren’t a fan of hers too. Y/N came her a few weeks ago because she wanted to meet you but when she arrived you were with your team mates on holiday”
“Rafaelle” it was a warning, one which she was all too aware of “I came here to sort out our house whilst you were off celebrating with the girls”
“You didn’t celebrate your win? You were incredible” Leah, once again, pays you a compliment.
“I had a lot on my plate. Like Rafa said I came to unpack and decorate our house but before then I had back to back interviews and photoshoots in Brazil that I couldn't get out of"
“I understand that” the sorrow in Leah’s voice was concerning.
“Being a first time captain leading your team to a championship comes with its downfalls”
Leah only nods her head. The weeks following the euros was nothing like Leah expected. The tournament put her on a pedestal and for the first time since she lifted the trophy she didn’t feel alone at the top.
Of course both of you could relax a little knowing that while here at Colney and at meadow park, Kim Little was the captain and it didn’t take long for you to be reminded of that.
“I see the captain of England and the captain of Brazil have met but we all know who is in charge around here” Katie joked.
“We are team full of leaders. Leah is one of the captains too and I hope Y/N will bring some her her leadership skills to the team” Kim joins the small group which is forming.
You cannot bring yourself to respond. Not because you don’t want to but you don’t want to place yourself with the top players of the team when you haven’t even stepped foot on the pitch.
During the offseason trip to Germany you found it surprisingly easy to fit in with the team. You got along well with the team but more so with Leah. Despite being from different countries, you had similar tastes in music so you would often lounge around listening to your favourite playlists whilst Leah showed you how to play Sudoku.
Things changed when you were back in London. You unconsciously began to close yourself off. It was as if Y/N the human being didn't feel at home in London which wouldn't be a problem given that you had only been there for a month but Rafa seemed to be blossoming in the country's capital. Several players picked up on your change of behaviour so Katie suggested a team bonding night at a restaurant of her choosing.
When she sends you the address of an all you can eat Brazilian you are filled with excitement but the restaurant itself didn't quite live up to a native's standards. The gesture is kind and you make sure to thank her for her efforts when you leave.
"You didn't like it?" Leah nudges you as you and few of the other team members walk back to where the cars are parked.
"It wasn't really Brazilian. It was just a lot of meat" you whisper as not to upset the irishwoman.
"I told you Katie!" Leah shouts much to your failed attempts at telling her to not to say anything.
"What!" Katie comes skipping over to the two of you "I thought you would like going to a Brazilian restaurant"
"That wasn't Brazilian, it was —“ Rafa comes to plead your case.
"A lot of meat" Leah says earning a smirk and a shake of head from you.
This leads to Rafa inviting the team over to the house you shared and offered a home cooked Brazilian feast which you found rich considering you were the chef out of the two of you. The team happily take her up on her offer and as you walk down the streets of St Albans you gaze remain fixed on a certain individual and how her hips swayed with every step she took.
"So you and Leah?" Rafa snuck up behind you. She had seen the way the two of you conversed the entire night. You barely showed anyone else any attention but the sight Rafa saw was rare and she knew that you must have opened yourself up to Leah if you were willing to get this close.
“She —“ how do you describe Leah?
"Ticks every single one of your boxes" the fellow Brazilian finishes your sentence or at least she tries.
"I was going to say she is beautiful"
You couldn’t deny Leah’s beauty. The way her blonde hair brought out the colour of her eyes; it puts the bluest oceans to shame. You were attracted to Leah and you knew it from the first day you met her but the passion she has for the sport you both love led you to fall deeper for her. She understood your mind more than anyone else given that she recently faced the same pressure as you.
"You should ask her out"
"I'm going to"
And that is what you planned to do the next day at training, that is until Beth officially gave you the low down on the couples within the team. Of course you had your suspicions and those had been right. What did catch you off guard was when Beth started talking about Leah and her history with Jordan Nobbs. From the signs Leah had given you, you thought she was single but Beth's explanation of their on off relationship thus far gave you reasons to doubt the moments you and Leah had shared. It’s the reason why you never asked her out that day or the day after that. In fact months passed and you still didn't ask her out even though your feelings never changed. You did keep her close though, just close enough to allow yourself to think what if.
It was during the final away trip of the year that the truth game to light. The team had met for breakfast, Leah observed from a distance as you watched Kim make a coffee with her latest contraption. The look on you face resembles that of a child watching a magic trick whilst figuring out how it’s done. She found it adorable the way you closed you eyes, inhaled the sent of the freshly poured cup then smiled widely as you swallowed your first mouthful.
“You’re drooling” Rafa jokes as she joins her fellow centre back at the table “Leah?” She waves her hand in front of the blonde to get her attention.
“I’m sorry. Did you say something?”
“You stare at her a lot for someone that turned her down”
Leah drew a blank. She had no idea what Rafaelle was talking about. She hadn’t turned you down, she wouldn’t and it’s not like she has had the opportunity to because you haven’t asked her out. She is just about to ask her to elaborate but both her and Kim gets called over by Jonas. You mumble a short and sweet ‘hi’ as you take her place at the table.
Rafa’s words stuck with Leah for the next few days as she tried and failed to think what could have made her think that. In the end it is the culprit herself that confesses when some of the girls are at Lia and Caitlyn’s for a game night.
“It’s been 5 months Leah and you have yet to make a move on Y/N. We can see the see you look at each other” Lia begins her friendly interrogation.
“and the sexual tension is disgusting” Katie fake gags.
“She told Rafa that she asked me out and I said no” Leah explains.
“You turned her down but I thought you liked her?” Viv questions.
“It’s not like Leah would have said yes, She is still with Jordan” Beth says.
You would have though the blonde had confessed to a murder the way all heads turned to her with a movement that could have given the owner whiplash.
“Beth, me and Jordan broke up before the euros. It’s done, we’re over for good this time”
Beth looked like a child that watched on as a problem they caused gets unveiled.
“What did you do?” Viv asks her girlfriend.
“I might have told her that you were already taken”
Leah couldn’t believe what she was hearing. Had Beth really sabotaged the relationship before it even had a chance to begin. It made Leah realise one thing, you did like her because you were going to ask her out. She tried calling your phone but it went straight to voicemail and despite her trying numerous times after that, the results were the same no answer.
In an attempt to redeem herself, Beth offered to drive the blonde to your house. It was an offer that Leah happily accepted. She knew from overhearing a conversation between you and Stina that you were going back to Brazil for the holidays, she only wished that she could see you before you leave.
With her friends in tow Leah knocks rapidly on your front door hoping with every fibre of her being that you answer it. A Brazilian answers the door only it isn't the one she hoped for.
Rafa notices Leah peeping behind her and its then that she realises the blonde didn't come for her.
"You're here for Y/N?" she asks earning a nod from Leah "She isn't here"
Leah's face fell. It isn't the end of the world but she didn't want to spend the next two weeks wondering what you're doing in Brazil and more important who you are doing things with.
"Where is she?" Caitlyn asks.
"Airport" Rafa then looks down at her watch "Her flight leaves, well right now actually"
If it wasn't already, the way the other girls looked at each other made it obvious that something was going on and Rafaelle was in the dark.
Out the corner of her eye Leah saw a photo frame hanging on the wall. It was a photo on the two of you taken in Germany, a small chuckle escaped her lips at the difficulty that came with the getting to pose for the photo but just as quickly as the happiness flood her systems, it is replaced with sadness.
"I'm about to put a movie on and order a takeaway if you guys want to stay" your best friend points to the takeaway menus that were scattered on the kitchen countertop.
Everyone was up for an impromptu movie night, everyone but Leah who quite frankly just wanted to be alone. She politely declined the invite and left your house with her head hanging low.
The moment she steps outside her body crashes into another sending her to the ground.
"Leah! are you ok?" you help the blonde to her feet.
Leah meanwhile didn't understand what was going on. How was you there when you were suppose to be on a plane to Brazil.
"Leah?" you wave you hand in front of her face "Did you hit your head?”
"What are you doing here?"
"I live here" you chuckle a little at obviousness of her question.
"I know that" she smacks you playfully "I mean in England, Rafa said you were going to Brazil"
"My flight was overbooked so I'm taking the next one which is first thing tomorrow morning" you explained.
You are just about to enter your home when Leah stops you. Her hand rests on top of yours on the door handle. You remove you hand but keep Leah's intertwined with yours. You knew something was wrong. First she was leaving your house alone and now she didn't want you to go in.
"Linda" you look deeply into those blue eyes you like so much "What's wrong?"
"Beth was wrong when she told you about Jordan. We are not dating, that chapter of my life is done"
Your head dips slightly as a smile tugs at your lips. If Leah wasn't with Jordan then it changes everything.
"But she said that you were" you try to remember the exact wording "she said it was on and off. I like you Leah but I won't ruin your relationship"
"There is no relationship, me and Jordan are done. There is something between us though and that is the only thing on my mind"
There something about the girl you like telling you how she feels and it aligning with your own feelings that brings you pure happiness.
"Would you have said yes if I asked you?" Leah nods enthusiastically "then let's go"
She could't believe your spontaneity. It didn't match your every day personality but she liked this side of you.
"I would love that but you should know Rafa and some of the girls are inside having a movie night and since this is your last night here before winter break, maybe we should join them?"
You didn't like to share and given that Leah had all but admitted she had feelings for you, you really wanted to spend the night with her alone. You are just about to tell her this when you hear laughing from the other side of the door.
"We can but only if you let me take you out for breakfast in the morning?"
"I would like that"
When the door opens, the girls on the other side freeze. All eyes are on the hallway as they wait to see who enters.
"Y/N!" Beth shouts "and Leah! who are holding hands?"
You pay no attention to the forward’s observations. Instead you go straight to your place on the sofa which funnily enough remains empty and Leah settles in beside you. Throughout the night you struggle to pay attention to the movie because the woman in your arms in much more interesting. At one point she catches you staring and with the way you are sat your faces are incredibly close. You have to bite your lip to stop yourself from kissing her but when Leah reaches up to caress you lower lip your hesitation goes out the window. Her lips are soft against your own and you relish the moment you have been waiting for since the first say you met her at Colney.
"Minha Linda" you place a soft kiss to her hairline.
"What does that mean?" Leah had been learning Portuguese from Rafa but it was a slow process.
"My beautiful"

To clarify, any posts I have made expressing my concern with fan behaviour in regards to Ewan's upcoming convention appearance have absolutely nothing to do with Brazil or Brazilian people, it's a comment on fandom as a whole.
People have the capability to be creepy, inappropriate and dangerous no matter their location or nationality. There are fans who've managed to obtain incredibly personal information regarding where Ewan lives and where his mum works, who've doxxed people from his agency to me in asks, who go to the pub where he drinks sometimes and harass the bar stuff.
It's repeated, invasive and unacceptable behaviour. Naturally, there is going to a degree of worry about fans potentially making him uncomfortable at an in person event - this would not change where ever in the world the convention is.
And yes, I am aware he's a grown ass man who can look after himself, but when fans act in this way then actors retreat further into themselves. Ewan is reclusive enough as it is, let's not discourage the crumbs.
On the flipside of this, I have seen posts from people saying they are receiving hate for the fact that they are Brazilian/Ewan is coming to Brazil??!! Don't be the person that does that, that's xenophobic as fuck. If you aren't willing to treat fellow fans with kindness and respect then you don't deserve to be a part of fandom.
We are all united in support of the same actor. Be kind, it takes far less effort than being a cunt.

My Western AU Pitch:
The year is sometime around 1878, and the place is a small little mining town called Perfection out in New Mexico Territory (about where the border between modern Arizona and modern New Mexico would be, for reference.)
Our protagonist is escaped Brazilian convict Cellbit and his posse of fellow Brazilian convincts + Felps, who is kinda just happy to be here. They all get to Perfection and immediately kinda hate it because, see, the government is getting a bit too invested in its future.
The townspeople are nice- Bad, the local undertaker-slash-priest; Foolish, the town's only doctor; Roier and Jaiden, who both help run the town's saloon with Roier's 'cousin' Melissa performing. But then there are the town's twin sheriffs, Los Ositos, known for their bear-like asshattery and general unpleasantness.
Cellbit kind of fucking hates them. For sheriffs, they're more invested in making their town look good for the government than actually stopping crime, and that's saying something coming from him.
But, because this is the Wild West, there are also some goddamn bandits in the hills:
A man said to have skin made of solid gold, a punishment from God for stealin' all the gold outta the Ohio River Valley back during the Revolution
A demon sent straight from Hell Itself to terrorize the town and punish it for its wicked ways by... stealing all of the furniture...
A woman with the wings of an eagle who swoops in at night to steal cattle from the local ranch
A child with a bull's head who can't speak any language known to man, forever cursed to wander the earth in silence as punishment for his actions
A half-man, half-spider with the fastest draw in the west and a killin' streak a mile wide
And so Cellbit makes a bet. If he catches these criminals first, then he gets to be the sheriff and Los Ositos have to leave town forever. If the twins catch them first, then Cellbit has to work for them until the day he dies.
And it's a set deal until Cellbit wakes up one night to find a child with a cow's head in his room rifling through his belongings and he realizes, shit, this might be a bit harder than he thought it'd be.

I don't know if now is exactly the right time for this, considering everything that is going on, but I've had this post in the drafts for a while, so idk. A collection of random things I've noticed after a year of the QSMP in action (though I've only been involved in the fandom since late October).
Genuinely something fairly long, and I don't want to clog up anyone's feed with this mess of a post, so >
(colors don't mean anything in particular, I just needed to break up the text for my own attention span's sake)
Regardless of the fact that the translation feature exists, QSMP members always seem to make an effort to learn a few words in the language of other members. I frequented Tubbo's streams a lot, and I can remember him looking up Korean greetings back when Acau was just joining the server. Tina, while not fluent in the language, made an effort to converse with the newer Korean members in Korean on multiple occasions, and succeeded in that regard. BadBoyHalo and Foolish both went above and beyond to try to learn bits and pieces of the other languages on the server; Cellbit has been absolutely insane in picking up the languages present on the server, and even Quackity has worked on learning Portuguese behind the scenes with Mike. They aren't the only ones either, not by a long shot, though they were some of the few I watched happening in real time. The first days of different members joining the server were filled with exchanges of words and slang, and it was always incredible to watch. I could go onto the streams of Quackity or Tubbo or Tina when the new Korean members were joining, or Hugo, and walk away with a handful of new swears and slang under my belt. I find it incredible that everyone works so hard to communicate with each other beyond only the translation feature.
The impact of the QSMP was not on the permanent members of the server alone. While this is only one example of a great amount, I've been able to watch Aimsey's intermittent streams where they work on learning Brazilian Portuguese on Duolingo, their most recent only around three weeks ago. They joined Purgatory 2 months ago, but they made lasting friends with the Brazilian members of their team, and they still work on learning the language. They still talk about taking a trip down to Brazil to meet up with their fellow Purgatory 2 teammates, alongside Tubbo. I find that to be quite sweet, if I'm being frank.
The fandom has also worked across that language barrier. QSMP Language Day was one example of this (rip, such great idea, I had so much fun but oh my goodness did that day end terribly), though I have to give a shocking amount of credit to QSMP Twitter. It's always awesome to see the posts that trickle through in different languages, just seeing people discuss different headcanons and theories that they have in different languages, like it's nothing. The translation feature has come in clutch many, many times, but a lot of people have been working to genuinely learn a language since the server started. To those of you reaching your 1 year streak on Duolingo this week, I commend you. I just reached my 60 day one, and while it's not a lot compared to what some people have, it's a pretty big deal for me. I've seen Twitch chats filled with French, German, English, Spanish, Portuguese, and Korean. In one stream I could count spotting seven separate languages being spoken in the span of roughly seven minutes (not including French, idk where you guys went but I just did not spot you once): English, Spanish, Korean, Portuguese, German, Pashto, and Russian. QSMP Language Day was amazing, even if it was cut short by news about the admins, and it's just been really cool to see people communicating in their own respective first languages.
Translation in general. I've seen an uptick of translated closed captioning in videos created by different QSMP members, and while it isn't a lot, it's incredible to see when it does occur. I have to give a shout out to both Quackity and Baghera, for their translated closed captioning. Even if it's only a few videos, it's epic to see. I also find it very interesting that the only Offline TV video I've seen with closed captioning in more than one language was the one that Quackity was in, with Spanish subtitles. It shows that the creators care enough to add the captioning, and I think that's pretty awesome. It's also nice because often adding captions in another language forces you to add captions in the language you're primarily speaking throughout the video, which can help people who need context beyond the often messy auto-generated closed captions.
Fanfiction! Fanart! The most kudosed fanfiction on AO3 in Portuguese of any type is a GuapoDuo fanfic! Almost half of the top twenty most kudosed fanfictions in Portuguese on AO3 are QSMP. I talk about it a bit more in depth here, but it's still incredible to see just how dedicated this community is. I've been involved in multiple fic-gifting events and I've seen some genuinely incredible works come out of this fandom. Heck, I've created a lot of things for the QSMP that I'm incredibly proud of. I've seen some of the most incredible creative expression ever come out of this fandom. The tiniest accounts on YouTube posting full-length, colored animatics complete with the smallest of details (shout out to Artydrawsthings on YouTube for I GOT LOVE, that was absolutely incredible), fanfic authors writing massive A.U.s that explore every character in depth, and livebloggers that will analyze each and every movement to gush over it all. The fandom that the QSMP has built has been incredible, and it's been amazing to see it grow.
Just in general, the sense of community, and overall joy the QSMP has created. You can tell that this a passion project, created by someone who genuinely cared about and believed that what they were doing was something they wanted to be doing, and managed by people who believed that the project was doing great things. I think this is what made the QSMP flourish. It was built off people who were happy on the server, and it truly accomplished what it set out to accomplish: uniting communities. I could have said this two weeks ago, three, a month, five months, half a year; it would have held true nonetheless. However, for the QSMP's first anniversary, I think it's fitting to give it this achievement.
The QSMP without a doubt has its gaping flaws. That isn't something we can ignore, and it isn't something that we should try to. However, to ignore everything that this server has done in the year it has existed would be a crime in my eyes. I'm glad to have been a part of this fandom, and maybe I can't speak Portuguese or Spanish or German and I won't ever be able to French or Korean or whatever languages the QSMP will go on to add (sorry French, rip), but I know a lot more than I did when I started, and I think that the server has done a lot of good in the roughly year it has existed.
So thank you, to the fandom, to the server, and to everyone who made this happen, from the fanartists and the egg admins to Quackity at the top of it all. It's been a great ride, and I hope that it'll be able to continue.

I'm so interested in the idea of q!jaiden and q!forever being parallels, ive never considered that much before! Would you mind elaborating on why you think that?? Especially cause im a big jaiden fan but i don't watch forever much!!
Oh, sure!
The main thing you need to get between q! forever and q!jaiden parallels is q!forever's reason for mistrusting q!jaiden. Basically the whole heated thing the fandom does between them and brings up every once in a while. And q!forever's reason has always been that he knew that if he was in q!jaiden's place, he would have done worse. Had it been Richas the one who died, q!forever knew he would be doing anything to have Richas back, or to avenge him somehow. And we do see he was true to his word when he got extremely angry and wanted to blow up the island and everyone. Forever mistrusted Jaiden (will be dropping the q! because honestly tiresome to type it out everytime on the cellphone) because he was projecting, he wouldn't trust himself if he was in her place.
Also a small note but something that I see people bring out often- Forever is the most motherly father of Richas. Like literally you could make a list of all the scenes where he acted exactly like a Brazilian mom would act.
Then we get to the happy pills arc, where Forever, drugged to a illusional state, sees a rock as his own son. He builds a secret place at his home, where he hides richarlystone for his drugged mind happy delusional state, gets a bunch of pictures of richas' family and puts up on the wall. Isn't it somewhat similar to jaiden's house at bobby fields?
Now, I personally don't like comparing much drugged forever to jaiden because. hey he was fucking drugged and not in the control of his mind, but I can't deny there is somewhat of a parallel here.
It gets more clear when Jaiden herself ends up seeing the house, and at first she gets weirded out, then proceeds to say something along the lines of understanding it and everyone grieves on a different way (I can't remember exactly her words sorry, can't really check her vod rn too), THEN, she finds a secret waystone on the place that is named "forevers weird place". Now compare that to Forever following Jaiden and Cucurucho to bobby fields and putting up a waystone "Jaiden secret house", finding the place filled with Bobby pictures weird, then proceeding to say he would do worse if he was at her place. Aren't those two situations extremely familiar?
Now, the reason I put the parallels as an answer is because of something I've seeing some people point out on twitter, although I personally don't agree with it fully.
Forever is happy that he got put on drugs by Cucurucho because otherwise he would have blown up the island. Despite how horrible being forcibly drugged was, he is somewhat glad that it happened. (now this is the part where I don't fully agree with what people are pointing out) Immediately after he woke up, Cucurucho goes and check on him, ask how he's been doing, ask if he needs more of the drugs. Yesterday, Cucurucho asked him again how he's doing, about his health. Cucurucho is somewhat being nice towards him. This would be similar to Cucurucho approaching a grieving Jaiden and manipulating her. So I've seen some people who are expecting Forever to end up more fed friendly today, like what happened to Jaiden. I personally don't fully agree with this analysis of Forever accepting that due to the friendliness being showed, but oh well.
I'm sure there's probably a lot more I could point out that I'm missing or forgetting- maybe other fellow Jaiden and Forever enjoyers could add on to this post, but currently I'm typing this while working on a college work to write with two friends, so sorry if something crucial slipped out of my mind LMAO. hope this post was somewhat helpful!

I was thinking about something that happened about ten years ago - I've talked about it here, but not for a while.
(tw: plane crash, death)
In college, I was close friends with a fellow student named Mike - we had all our classes together, we worked on every project together, we hung out at cafes and made big plans and drew comics in the margins of our notes to make each other laugh. He wanted nothing more than to be a pilot. The last time I saw him he and I and our group of friends were walking down some unused railroad tracks, knowing it was the end and we were all going our separate ways, excited and melancholy in equal measure.
I went off to grad school in 2010; he became a pilot. He flew supply runs in Antarctica, an absolute dream. He shared pictures of every flight he was on: spectacular vistas, impossibly remote places.
I moved to the U.S. in the fall of 2012 for my PhD. There I met some lovely people right off the bat; a somewhat intense woman who confessed to Facebook stalking me once she heard we were going to be in the same office, who introduced me to her awkward-but-sweet boyfriend, also in our graduate program, and promptly invited me to her birthday party to be held two weeks after meeting me. A quiet woman from Brazil who I uncharacteristically approached after class when I noticed she was looking a little down; we chatted and she confessed to feeling lost after moving so far from home, especially now that her husband had moved back. A cheerful woman with a bubbly personality who struck up a conversation with me as we walked between classes.
We realized our Brazilian classmate had never done a US-style pumpkin carving, so when Halloween rolled around I awkwardly invited everyone I'd met thus far to my apartment for just such an activity (where I met the bubbly woman's high school sweetheart, an entertainingly stoic contrast until we got to know each other better). I liked this group of friends, but I didn't know them particularly well, so when my birthday rolled around in January of 2013, I was a little hesitant when they announced they'd throw me a party, but I was cautiously looking forward to it.
Then I got word that a plane Mike was on had crashed in Antarctica.
At first, the news came through piecemeal - he might not have been on the plane, he was on the plane but they were pretty sure it had just made an emergency landing and due to weather they couldn't confirm, but then it was several days in a row of rescue missions being called off again and again due to dangerous weather. In the end, around midnight on my birthday while I was nervously messaging one of our mutual friends and refreshing the news pages, it was confirmed that the plane had been spotted and the crash was not survivable; not even his body could be recovered. I had to convey the news to my friend via text.
It was really devastating as my first (sadly not last) real experience with a death like that, inconceivable and impossible to prepare for and with so little closure. And then I got a message from my group of new friends - they knew what had happened and were okay with calling off the planned party that day, but if I was up for it, they wanted to see me and get me something good to eat and distract me for a few hours.
In spite of the voice inside that told me to wallow, I went. And - I tear up just thinking about it - laid out on the table at my friend's apartment was my name spelled out in cupcakes, with a little Canadian flag in a vase, and it was so cheesy and sweet and heartfelt that I couldn't help but be charmed, distracted from misery. We had a great evening! We ate great food and chatted long into the night.
And for that, and for so many other things, all of their names are engraved on the walls of my heart. I don't mean to make it sound transactional - they did this for me, I would do anything for them, that kind of thing. It's unconditional, it's a realization that near-strangers did something fundamentally kind and I have in turn been given the incredible gift, again and again, to do kind things for them in turn.
I've since been unfathomably lucky to have found another group of friends, the (in)famous Movie Night Crew, who similarly rescued me three years ago when Mom died and Hector died, and that's a story I can't tell yet because it still hurts. But I'm incredibly lucky. I just am.
That group of friends who sat around the table of cupcakes with me after Mike died are still very dear to me, and I'm leaving on Friday to attend one of their weddings (with the exception of the Brazilian woman who is on the other side of the planet being incredible, all the others will be there, including the bubbly woman and her stoic high school sweetheart, now married and part of my weekly D&D game!). As a shy and awkward kid, all I ever wanted was to be a good friend. To have been given these riches of opportunities to learn to be just that... I can't fathom how I got so lucky.
Sappy? Sure. But I hope everyone reading this gets a chance to find that kind of love. It radiates.

Can I just say something? Okay, so, I think the funniest live bloggers are the Brazilians. They are so funny, and for what? I can almost always find something to laugh at in their live blogging for each day and I am just sitting looking through my tags and nearly laughing in the middle of one of my classes. Thank you, so so much Brazilians. You guys and your CCs are so dear to me. I can almost always find enjoyment in the live streams even if I can't understand a word they are saying(I can pick up little things here and there and it honestly makes me so happy) and it is so awesome coming on here and looking at the QSMP live blogging tag and figuring out through the live bloggers.
Other English speakers that are fans of the QSMP need to realize that the Spanish speakers and Brazilians are a part of our community and without them, we wouldn't have some really cool content. I am tired of seeing people make fun of or generally being awful to the CCs or even fellow fans. Do better.
Again, thank you Brazilian fans and also thank you to the Spanish speaking fans. You guys are awesome. Keep doing you and I hope other English speaking fans start appreciating you more, or even as much as I do and that they try to understand even a little bit, whether it's through learning one of the languages, even just watching the Brazilian and Hispanic creators and finding the cognates and understanding even a little bit, or even just interacting with fans who don't speak English as their first language and taking the time to even put their words through google translate(honestly, as someone learning Spanish, it isn't great but if you have a reading level over that of a first grader then you should be able to figure it out even then) just to help it reach more people as most social media sites are more English friendly than they are to any other language.
Feel free to translate this post so it can reach more people. I don't really care for credit but it would be really nice because we need to start crediting people more in not just this space but also in other spaces. Credit artists and writers, they are the back bones of many fandoms, especially ours. The museum in the QSMP itself credits the artists. Give credit where credit is due.

Heyy, so I saw your post abt wanting to write some imagines for drivers and I was wondering if you could write one with felipe drugovich? Idea: congratulating, kissing and hugging him after a race and rubbing his back before he goes to sleep
[this was mainly written before my exams, finished after them and while i had fever so it’s highly possible it’s a total mess, have pity please]
pairing: felipe drugovich x reader
wordcount: 650
Tumblr media
if anybody asked you what was the best sight in the world before today you would have answered naming a museum or some skyline, but after seeing felipe with the brazilian flag wrapped around his shoulder, walking on the podium with the three best qualified drivers after being declared formula 2 world champion, you needed to change your answer.
he watched the whole race from the pit wall, as he got out of it in the very first lap because of a broken suspension, but his main rival for the championship didn’t score enough points to stop him from putting his hands on the most important trophy with three races to go.
you were so incredibly proud of him, and you couldn’t wait to tell him since you still hadn’t seen him. his team members and journalists surrounded him and blocked you out right after the checked flag, so you found yourself waiting for him under the podium, cheering like there were no tomorrow.
he was smiling with his fellow colleagues and friends behind the barrier, and his grin grew even bigger when he spotted you in the crowd. the typical celebration song was resonating in your ears and you noticed him pointing at you. everything felt like a movie: from the outcome of the day to the way he made the last step to win the title, all of this was incredible, and you couldn’t ask for more honestly.
after a while everybody started leaving, from the spectators in the stands to the drivers on the elevated station, so you run towards the back part of the paddock where you would be able to finally meet your boyfriend.
when you arrived, you saw a bunch of people walking in your direction, who, after a better look, you identified as felipe and fans and photographers following him.
he turned to take a picture with a boy and by chance caught sight of you, so he waved. you heard him saying some apologies and trying to runaway, to throw himself in your arms, being careful to not hit you with the trophy.
“hey champion!” you joyfully greet him. he kissed you passionately sharing all of his happiness with you. “how does it feels to win from the pit wall?”
“i would have preferred to fight for it a little more, but i’m not gonna complain. “
he was still holding you as photographers moved their attention from the driver to the both of you, snapping some pictures.
-
you were in your bedroom, felipe just showered and you were now laying together between the cozy blankets. you were spread in the middle of the mattress while the boy softly rested between your legs with his head on your shoulder, your hands running continuously and gently on his back, his resting on your waist.
“i'm so happy, you know?” he shared out of the blue.
“of winning the championship?
“of everything,” he moved his gaze up to your face. “of winning the championship, of you and my family being here with me, of all the support you give me. i’m happy for a lot of things.”
after what he said, some extremely intimate moments followed. just the two of you, looking in each other’s eyes with pure joy and contentment, caressing your bodies.
"glad to hear that. i'm happy to be by your side as well." you mimicked the sentence that left his mouth shortly before, meaning every word.
you tilted your face downwards to leave a trail of kisses, starting from his forehead, passing to his nose, ending on his lips. then you went back to his ear in order to whisper a small "goodnight champion, sleep tight." to which he responded with some incomprehensible mumbles.
even though this was certainly the best day of his life and didn't want to put an end to it, he really needed some due rest.

Hello, I'm not fluent in English, in fact I can only understand it slightly so I'm using Google translator, sorry for any mistakes. What bands do you think Chiba likes? Do you think Kanzaki and Chiba have ever met at a concert when she's on her rebellious side?
Tumblr media
Hi anon! Don't worry about mistakes, it's perfectly translated! 💕
So what we know from canon was that Chiba is a big fan of ANGRA, an existing Brazilian power metal band... and by that, I mean a BIG fan.
Tumblr media
At least in my case, bootleg CDs or albums are more difficult to obtain than official ones. Chiba had probably asked around his fellow musicians and metalheads to even know where to possibly find one or... he attended a concert or a festival once and stumbled upon a copy by pure chance. Both are insane.
And that is why I strongly headcanon that Dragonforce was what got Chiba into playing the guitar.
He's got a much older cousin, who is a musician himself, who showed him a Dragonforce video when he was around 8 years old to hook him into wanting to play the guitar.
And it worked, because who wouldn't want to play the guitar after watching Herman and Sam duel it out for 2 minutes in Through the Fire and Flames???
I think of Chiba as more of a frequent listener of punk, like he goes through his playlist daily but doesn't really have a band or an artist he follows. His favourite bands are more around the power metal subgenre - with ANGRA and Dragonforce as his top 2.
I swear I could talk about how Chiba liking the over-the-top themes and theatrics of power metal relates to how he's into highly fictional things in canon such as superheroes and collecting toys without being ashamed of it - as if he's allowing himself to indulge in his "child-like" wants while not being too obvious about it.
Tumblr media
Now with Kanzaki, HEAR ME OUT.
I have this whole thing with them having a Secret Identity solidarity.
Where the unrecogizable Kanzaki meets the infamous mystery guitarist at a live house somewhere in Kunugigaoka town where he frequently plays, when she left her usual arcade after spotting some of her old classmates inside.
Their interactions where rather short-lived since Kanzaki most likely had a time crunch and can't always be available anytime. But they've interacted enough to remember each other.
But then we get to the civil war arc where Chiba knew exactly what games Kanzaki was playing to get so good at navigating her way through a battlefield?
So, here's my little brainrot:
Tumblr media
I never thought I'd get an ask about this, I'm so happy!! Thank you so much for asking 😭💕

Nick Grimshaw, the former face of mid-00s “yoof” culture, is absorbing the decor of our interview location, a meeting room on the fourth floor of the BBC offices in central London. He eyes up the floor-to-ceiling black drapes and the bright orange, weirdly impractical coat stand nestled in the corner. “This is quite chic,” he says brightly, looking over to friend and fellow former Radio 1 DJ Annie Macmanus, AKA Annie Mac. The pair are here to talk about their new music-themed BBC Sounds podcast, Sidetracked, but Grimshaw’s already been distracted. “Look at the lights,” he continues, “a bit of personality. It’s just strip lights on the eighth floor.” It was on that less-aesthetically desirable floor where Grimshaw and Macmanus spent most of their 20s and 30s, the former working his way up to being host of the flagship Radio 1 breakfast show and the latter eventually taking over from Zane Lowe as the station’s chief tastemaker.
Both left in 2021 and have since added books (Macmanus, 45, is working on her third novel, while Grimshaw released his memoir last year), lifestyle podcasts and more TV work to their already bulging CVs. Grimshaw recently presented an interiors show for Channel 4, hence his love of our locale’s plush aubergine chairs. On the brink of turning 40, and with all this middle-aged furniture chat on his mind, he asks his friend of 20 years a pressing question: “Am I still fun?” They look at each other.
“You’re really fun,” Macmanus replies reassuringly.
“Different fun now?” he asks, more rhetorically this time. “Lamps fun.”
That F-word is at the heart of Sidetracked, a weekly podcast inspired by the WhatsApp messages they’d send each other in a group chat called The Goss, where the pair would chat about the biggest stories in music. The title is a reflection of the show’s lack of structure, with no regular segments and no set themes. “It’s going to be the week in music but through a lens of our friendship and our take on it,” says Grimshaw. Macmanus compares it to the “very loose” 10-minute handovers the pair used to do when their radio shows aired next to each other. “I loved that moment of radio because it felt genuinely free and representative of our friendship. I would like to think the tone is a little bit like that.”
Grimshaw nods furiously: “That was always my favourite bit of the show, no offence to the guests.”
For both it’s a way of stepping back into radio without any of the usual restrictions. “Music has been work for such a long time so I like the idea of this being from the perspective of a fan,” says Macmanus. “All of the things I didn’t miss about having a radio show – being part of someone else’s agenda, the time involved, and all of the things that started feeling a bit too much – this is the opposite of that. It’s not attached to any network or any radio station specifically. We will talk about, say, Kate Bush. It’s not just youth music.”
“Hey, come on now,” laughs Grimshaw, “we’ve heard of Ice Spice!”
What would they talk about if they had to record an episode today? “It’s the Mercurys this week,” says Macmanus, “so something on that. But it could be anything: from Adele going off at a security guard at her gig, to Beyoncé becoming a mayor of Santa Clara, to Grimmy going to the Proms and having a re-evaluation of his whole life.”
Grimshaw is less specific: “All that stuff that my dad was like ‘it’s a waste of time’, that’s all I want to talk about. Just stuff.”
I witness how an episode could quickly spiral as Grimshaw suddenly remembers getting stuck in the BBC building’s revolving doors with soul newcomer Berwyn. This then leads to a whole section on getting stuck in places with musicians (Macmanus got stuck in a car park in Austria for two hours with Brazilian drum’n’bass legend DJ Marky), before winding up at A$AP Rocky. “He refused to go through the revolving doors and I love the phrase he used,” teases Grimshaw. “He said: ‘I don’t want to go through them because they’re corny.’ Isn’t that fab?” They start thinking about what other mundane things A$AP Rocky might not do. “This is what we’d investigate [in the podcast],” laughs Grimshaw.
“Really important stuff,” adds Macmanus.
The pair are chatty in the way long-term friends are, often finishing each other’s sentences, and while they refer to Sidetracked as indulgent, they’re also aware of the pitfalls of famous-people podcasts and how boring they can become when people just agree and think everything is amazing. “‘Oh, St Barts, eh, remember?’” Grimshaw says in a mock luvvie voice. “I think Annie is always honest, especially about music. Quite a lot of the time we don’t always have the same view. I’ll say: ‘I love this, don’t you?’ And Annie will be like: ‘Not really.’ That makes a good chat.”
“On Radio 1 we haven’t been allowed to … ” starts Macmanus, before remembering that they had a playlist to stick to and so positivity was key, but Grimshaw interrupts.
“I would do a flushing toilet sound over a song if I didn’t like it,” he says.
Macmanus adds: “What I hope will make people interested in the podcast is the transparency and the honesty. If you think something’s terrible you have to be able to say it, in a respectful way.”
That rebellious spirit is almost expected of them given how they started out at the BBC via its youth strand Switch in 2007, which involved a Sunday night radio show of the same name. “We were allowed to be completely ourselves and it would be hysterical and delirious and hungover and we’d laugh so much that we’d piss ourselves,” says Macmanus. Literally? “Sometimes,” she laughs.
Grimshaw looks aghast: “I never pissed myself, just to be clear.”
The pair first met at Glastonbury when Grimshaw was a plugger and Macmanus had just started her first Radio 1 show on Thursday nights. They met again later at indie mecca the Hawley Arms in Camden Town, north London. “Grimmy was telling me he wanted to be on the radio, and I’d just launched Switch and they were looking for someone to come in on a weekly basis and contribute,” Macmanus says.
For Grimshaw it was life changing. “Working at Radio 1 was my childhood dream. I was obsessed with it and always listened from morning to night. It was all I ever wanted.” He remembers walking across Battersea Bridge after recording his first show and crying with happiness.
“Oh babe, I didn’t know that, that’s gorgeous,” says Macmanus sweetly.
There’s an endearing younger brother, older sister energy between the pair that Grimshaw tries to sum up. “You’re bossy but in a really non-bossy way,” he says, turning to face Macmanus. “You’re calmly in control … You’re like a paramedic!” They both cackle. “You’re in charge and I trust you with my life,” he adds. Macmanus says she felt protective of Grimshaw when he landed the breakfast show gig in 2012, especially when he was caught up in Radio 1’s desire to lower the age of its listeners. “I remember getting the breakfast show and feeling really excited and then after it had been announced Radio 1 had this message, or it came from the media, like: ‘We don’t want anyone over 30 to listen,’” says Grimshaw. “I remember being like: ‘Oh no, all them people are going to hate me.’”
“That coupled with coming after Chris Moyles, and a legion of heterosexual males who are going to go, ‘No fuck you because I’m over 30 and you’re not Chris Moyles,’” adds Macmanus.
ge is something Grimshaw has been thinking about a lot recently. “When I started working in music I was only 19, and people were shocked by that,” he says. “When I started [presenting] T4 that was the youth thing, then Switch was the youth thing, then when I did breakfast it was ‘the young breakfast show’. Then all of a sudden I’m not young.”
Macmanus seems to have more of a handle on it all: “I’ve got more control over my life than I’ve ever had and the possibilities of what can be done. I love the idea of changing things all the time.”
Somewhere in the middle of all this existentialism sits Sidetracked, a vehicle for two former DJs, now caught between Radio 1 and Radio 2, to recapture a tiny bit of that Switch-era anarchy. Macmanus, however, looks worried. “I don’t feel like we’ve told you what this podcast is,” she says. “We’ve done a lot of talking. Is the elevator pitch clear?” Sort of. But it’s the talking that people will care about.
Sidetracked with Annie and Nick begins Thursday on BBC Sounds.

July was a reminder of why I don't generally walk into strange bookstores, because I ended up on an accidental bookstore crawl and came out of the evening with two books (Hatchet, Hrafnkel's Saga) and a mildly distressed colleague. I did make up for this by reading more off my TBR than I usually do, including Gaudy Night which I picked up just last month and am therefore congratulating myself on getting to so quickly.
My other hauls for the month are Labyrinth's Heart, which was worth the wait, and Interference, which was on sale when I had a gift card. Having read a very good gentle first-contact novel this month, I don't see myself getting to it anytime soon. Labyrinth's Heart, I picked up as soon as I was able, naturally.
Otherwise, it wasn't much of a month, doings-wise. I've been working a lot on my WIP and have gotten back into jigsaw puzzles. Turns out if I've done a puzzle before, I can redo in a matter of days. Or one day, if I'm not working. It's also been a month of stalking my library holds list with very little to show for it. September, though. The library's going to be very good to me in September.
My next big thing is a holiday! I'm at the stage of packing right now where I start to second-guess the quantities I'm bringing. Is five shirts enough? More importantly, is three books? I'm going to be off-grid for most of the time, so there'll be lots of reading time but also no way to get an emergency ebook or recharge my devices. Inviting people to weigh in here.
And as always, if you've got questions about the books I've read, why I rated and ranked them a certain way, any of that, ask away! I know I'm not really active on here these days but I check comments every day and am still down to chat.
And now without further ado, in order of enjoyment…

okay I was buying new bikinis and as a Brazilian with a good ass, you know what type of bikini I need and it's so hard finding them anywhere that's not home 😭
But can you imagine Mick's reaction to see it for the first time? And you notice how he glares at other men when they stare a little too long? And idk about my fellow br but it can be so uncomfortable at times, so it would be very appreciated having him look out for you.
+ I feel like the other wags (expt Kika) would be so judgmental about it, but hey it's part of our culture!! It's literally so normal and you hardly see a different type of bikini there, only older women / or mothers that have just had a baby (not that they have to) wearing something different.
the best thing about it for me it's just how no one feels uncomfortable wearing bc everyone looks so hot in it, skinny/thick girlys included and I don't want to hear it! and that can bother a lot of people, you know beautiful women, great bodies, best tan and confident about it can kinda set unhappy off.
But I think Mick wouldn't care, he knows thats the culture and it's normal. Bc trust me some guys are so insecure that they will try and make you wear a different bikini (personal experience). And sometimes it can be off putting when you are in Europe/America, people do get offended which I think is ridiculous. Cultura BR atura ou surta 🇧🇷
ooooh that boy would only have eyes for you, especially during vacation where it's mandatory to wear beach clothes most of the time because you never know when people are gonna throw you in the pool or go for a quick dip into the ocean.
I don't think the wags would be judgmental, though I don't know much about them, I can see them creating a friendship bond with you, appreciating the culture and even asking you to bring one for them when you go to a Brazilian store
It's really about enjoying yourself and having fun it doesn't matter your size/what you're wearing/your color etc, so yup, it's one hundred percent more than just a beach garment, but rather very cultural.
I think Mick wouldn't mind people's eyes on you, but he would def make a point of holding you closer, playing with the strings of your bikini, and even breaking his own pda rule and kissing your lips, shoulders, neck- AAAAAADSJGSDGSKJG I SO WANTED TO LIVE THIS SCENARIO *sobs into my hands*
The "atura ou surta" threw me HAHHAHAHA <3

Oie! Fellow brazilian here! Como vai? :D First, wanted to thank you all your content, specially richard and tsurune! Got to know (and love) both because of you! :3 Secondly... Have you watched Tsurune ep3? What did you think? I haven't read the novels (yet) so I'm curious if they are still being somehow faithful to the source material, or if they have started to take their liberties already. Muito obrigada e espero q restinho da sua semana seja especial ☆
Oiii!!! ❤️ That’s such an honor for me, Anon! Thanks!
Now, about this episode, the content we’re getting in the anime right now is, like, 95% original, but the changes are indeed in accordance to what we get in canon, except for two things:
1) The bromance between Minato and Seiya. KyoAni insists on keeping this Minato obsession going on and I’m pretty sure that’s because it’d render the whole first season completely meaningless otherwise, lmao. Also because KyoAni is still toning down Minato and Masaki’s relationship, as well as Seiya’s relationship with Kaito and Minato’s relationship with Shuu, so they gotta get the gay from somewhere. Somewhere safe, where they have an excuse for it. Not to mention that we never really got any closure for Seiya in S1. We didn’t get the scene from volume 1 where Minato frees Seiya of his burden, and in the anime, they made it so that the accident really was Seiya’s fault to some extent, so I don’t know if we’ll ever get this character development at all. The narrative makes a proper conclusion seem necessary, but at the same time, it also seems to glorify the problem.
2) The way that Masaki is portrayed. No matter how hard KyoAni tries, they really don’t know how to handle him as a character. I get this feeling they interpret him so wrong on so many aspects that they don’t even realize just how wrong they got him, ‘cause I can guarantee it’s way more than just the “I’m using y’all for revenge against my late grandpa” shitshow from the first season.
As far as the novel goes, Masaki is fundamentally a pure person. Not as in innocent (that’s Minato), but as in enlightened. The anime tries to depict him as just knowledgeable, but they forget that he’s also wise. He’s thoughtful, specially of Minato and Kaito. And as you’d expect from someone who’s neck-deep into Shinto and Zen, he’s unapologetically virtuous and pretty damn sharp in his teachings. But that’s where the difference between anime and novel is most glaring: in the original, he goes on about it the right way. Anime!Masaki stabs where it hurts; novel!Masaki helps pull off the band-aid. What makes Minato ache isn’t that Masaki lectures him. It’s that Masaki is kind and considerate of things that hadn’t even gone through Minato’s head when lecturing him. Very obvious discrepancy, but damn, the animators sure are bad at noticing it. The problem with this is that they might spiral back into making Masaki look like an asshole all over again.
In fact, they already kind of are.
In the novel, Minato gets banned from the dojo because of an injury that he got on his hand during the prefectural finals. He was supposed to rest so that it could heal, but Minato being Minato, he didn’t want to miss practice. It was not only painful for him, but also started to badly affect his shooting, which is where Masaki stepped in and told him not to come to practice for a week. A whole different picture, isn’t it?
Meanwhile, the anime. Oh, the anime. Right after giving us the non-canon Everyone Can See It about Seiya’s obsession with Minato yet again as if we need or want any more of that bullshit, this time through Eisuke (who in the novel did it with Minato, referring to him and Masaki), KyoAni once more fails dramatically at getting the point of Masaki’s character. First, we begin with him admonishing the boys in an irky, passive-aggressive way. Then, we have Seiya calling him out for the way he’s talking, and not only does he agree that it was terrible, he actually bends down and rewords it... except he only makes it worse.
Just in case anyone is wondering: no, that’s not how he breaks the news to them in the novel, and the ones who scold the boys are actually the girls’ team. Also, this isn’t the moment where Minato gets banned from the dojo. That’s another issue for later on. Like I said, whole different picture. But KyoAni is definitely trying to paint anime!Masaki’s approach as a valid teaching method, just maybe a little rough around the edges. However, by banning only Minato from the dojo simply because he’s the one who spoke up what everyone else was thinking, anime!Masaki is undebatably being unfair and unreasonable. And I’m sure this is groundwork for Masaki to get disappointed again at his inexperience as a mentor, so that we can have the dark brooding Masa-san that KyoAni swears we love but literally none of us asked for. I’m so not looking forward to this.
We could’ve just had Minato get his injury during this match. He hits his hand two times either way, and that’s why it gets so bad in the first place. It could’ve still happened in this season, but nah, why be mindful of the narrative at all? Consistency? Don’t know her.
But well, we all saw this coming. It’s not a surprise. I’m still enjoying S2 despite the annoyance, and I hope we’ll be able to keep up this pace if that means it won’t get any worse. I’m just a little worried by how boring this episode was, though. Without Kazemai as main focus, it feels like we don’t get much emotion from the other characters. We just got introduced to Tsujimine, but aside from Eisuke and Koushirou, nobody left much of an impression.
It also worries me how not involved the characters are with each other. There’s Minato and Seiya, Nanao and Kaito, Minato and Shuu, and now we’re starting to get Eisuke with Minato and Seiya, as well as Ryouhei and Shuu (+Sae and Toujou). But that’s about it. Nobody else seems invested in anybody, except maybe Masaki, who is invested in his boys, but it feels weird to see him invested in them equally, and even weirder to not see Minato invested in him. It’s almost bizarre how they’re just... not in each other’s orbit in the anime. Like, at all. I guess this is what makes the anime feel so detached from the canon even though it’s trying to get closer to it now.
As always, here’s to praying for the best but knowing that we’ll probably only get some crumbs of what could’ve been.

Can’t wait for this to be yet another qsmp event where French speakers are just thrown to the side! Out of all of the like 16 ccs announced so far to be going into purgatory 1 of them is a French speaker yeeeeees!!! It’s going to be amazing again for all of the events in the week to be at like 4am in France too ugh I’m so excited 😍 on a nicer note I am loving seeing all my Brazilian friends excited for all of the amazing Portuguese speaking ccs being added tho from everything I’m finding out about te creators they do seem awesome at least that’s one positive of the entire situation!
I'm actually baffled, tbh. I hope there's more announcements soon? I'm actually in shock there's so MANY Brazilians. Like it's Brazilians QSMP + gringos guests at this point. And we're still waiting for more announcements.
I'm happy but worried? There's already a lot of English and Spanish speakers in the main server so it's kinda whatever if there's no more (tbh the Spanish speakers barely log in but it's not because of lack of members or eggs) but not many French people. I wanted more. I was hoping for Horty, Baghera's friend.
Genuinely hoping there's more french people I'll be upset if there's not. I'm happy for my fellow Brazilians but we'll be sad too if there's no more French streamers.

gold rush: Richie/Eddie + meeting during the 27 years (3/3 3/4 oops)
Summary: Eddie “meets” Richie at a bar while they’re both out of town for work, and immediately decides right now is the perfect time to have his midlife crisis.
"Okay, alright," Ben placates when the laughter goes long, gesturing for everyone to settle down, only half genuine. "How 'bout you, Eddie? You married?" "Uh, no," Eddie mumbles, emerging reluctantly from his one-handed cocoon. He debates for a moment, feeling sick. But he has to make sure Richie gets the full picture, now that he has to have any of it. "Engaged. Or I was a year ago, anyway." Richie goes still and silent next to him, his hands freezing where they had been using his chopsticks to whack out a shitty little drumline on the cloth-covered table. "What happened?" Ben asks softly, sympathetically. Eddie's throat hurts; the truth hurts. He coughs it away as best he can. "I moved," he says. "For- uh. For work." Like Pretty fucking Woman. Richie fumbles putting down his chopsticks, tucks his hands under the table. Eddie watches him do it through his peripheral vision. "Sorry to hear that, Eds," Mike murmurs across the now quiet table. Eddie tenses up to hold back a flinch at the nickname. Richie came up with that nickname. Twice. He hasn't used it since they got here. "So, anyway!" Richie says instead, cutting through the atmosphere like a fucking anvil, like he always did as a kid. He brings his hands back up to gesture wildly. "Ben! Where's the rest of you?" "I- Yeah, I guess I lost a few pounds," Ben says, chuckling awkwardly. Eddie, Bill, and Mike all make noises of agreement - Eddie maybe a little more enthusiastically than required, latching onto the change of subject eagerly. "You're hot!" Richie gushes. Eddie can't help but look Ben over, almost as if directed to do so by Richie's words. His eyes sweep up and down Ben's body like a compass needle sweeping around to point North. He admires, for a moment, Ben's somewhat dainty wrists, his bulging shoulders, his thick thighs under the table. The tightness of his fucking cowboy jeans, too, makes for a prettier picture in between them than a looser fit would provide. But then Richie goes on. "You're gorgeous, man! You're like if every Brazilian soccer player was rolled into one person." He pauses there, and sitting so close at hand, Eddie can hear him take a shaking breath, hyping himself up. Braced, he finishes, "Do you like men? Asking for a friend." Suddenly, Eddie isn't so enthused with this topic anymore. There's easy laughter from everyone else, and then a pause when what Richie's said sinks in. Then laughter again, to Richie's palpable relief. "That would be so weird," Bill says, making a face. "What?" Richie demands. "Only you're allowed to date fellow Losers?" "Leader privileges," Bill says with a smirk and a nod. "Okay, gross," Richie condemns, ruining it by laughing halfway through. He turns back to Ben and adds, "Apparently the friend I'm asking for is Bill. Would you date Bill, Ben? Would you let Bill touch your rock hard washboard abs, Ben?" "Oh my God," says Ben, hiding his glowing face behind his beer. "Leave him alone, you're embarrassing him," Bev reprimands, sounding like she's never meant anything less in her life. Eddie can't really blame her - Ben's blush is as adorable as it's ever been, now with the added visual benefits of a strong jaw and a handsomely trimmed goatee. However, he would personally strongly prefer if Richie did leave Ben alone. "What dat ass do? For Bill, I mean." Richie is relentless, though he's honestly looking more at Bill than Ben at this point. Bill, who is choking he's laughing so hard, face so red he's putting Ben's alluring blush to shame - exclusively in terms of shade. While Ben makes for a bashful Prince Charming, Bill looks like a baking tomato that is about to explode in the oven. "Jesus, somebody save me," Ben pleads. "Where the hell is Stanley?"
