Normally I don’t really understand people who like to cause problems and agitate others.....but I just asked for pads for Christmas, knowing that if my mom does, in fact, give them to me on Christmas, it’ll make my dad really uncomfortable and grossed out so like..........maybe not the same thing, but I’m starting to understand where those feelings come from

#this is probably a weird post to make in October #I’m asking for reusable pads not just regular ones #I already have some I just would enjoy doing a little less laundry by hand is all #the brand is Cariona btw and they’re awesome #it’s kind of expensive but it’s a 1 time payment #(versus regular pads are cheaper but you have to buy them all the time and deal with environment guilt) #(I am NOT trying to guilt/shame anyone for not buying reusable pads or a diva cup #periods should not be about shame and it’s absolutely fair to not be interested in washing blood out of your pads every few days #if you’re not interested in dealing with that kind of mess you’re very normal and should not feel even an ounce of guilt #I just want to get the word out bc I had no idea about these until this summer and honestly they’re a game changer #I had awful cramps the first day using a regular pad bc it’s all I had on me at the time #but I haven’t even had cramps while using cloth pads #in summary just don’t feel bad about getting your period #you literally can’t stop and you should feel comfortable while it’s happening #whether that means eating an entire cake or using pads/tampons that you’ll throw out)
