I actually thought Night of the Living Dead was a good movie. Huge TW for state sanctioned/ police violence and antiBlack violence tho

#like I know the zombie movie genre tends towards right wing fantasy #especially wrt people driving cars thru protesters (zombies) and having free reign to commit acts of violence against human bodies #but it didn’t strike me as reactionary #Ben is desperately trying to get everybody to work together but it doesn’t work out partially from bad luck and also #bc of the individual mindset of mr cooper #which I’m sure also relates to antiblackness - maybe he’d be more willing to follow the leadership of a white man #night of the living dead
