☆⋆｡𖦹°‧★ LUOCHA has a particularly noticeable mole on the right side of his neck. with his high collar and serious expression, that remains another guarded secret of his that is privy to only his own searching eyes, a secret that raises colour in his cheeks at the insinuation of its placement.

having spent more time around the dead than the living these past few months, love and human connection is not exactly an occurence that can happen naturally within his profession.

and for the most part, that's alright.

yet there are some lonely nights where luocha finds his gloved fingertips grazing the dark spot on his neck, wishing that he could be graced with the same tenderness in this life that he had received in his previous one. if he closed his eyes and concentrated hard enough, he could almost feel the ghostly brush of a pair of lips against his cool skin, the feathery sensation sending a soft shiver down his spine, accompanied by the distant giggle of a past lover in his ear before it slips his grasp and he rolls onto his side in frustration.

that damned spot might as well be placed directly over his heart, considering the amount of influence it held over him.

he could only hope that his dreams tonight would reunite him with the figure that haunts his conscious mind too now, and continue his fruitless search to find them once again in his waking realm.

☆⋆｡𖦹°‧★ BLADE has moles on his chest and back littered amidst the scars that mar his porcelain skin. always a skeptic, the man has never been one to believe in the fanciful stories of soulmates destined to be, sneering in the face of such notions as fate, preferring to keep his head resolutely on his shoulders and feet planted on the ground.

and in some sense, he's right.

because when he met you, in this current life, you joined him in his rejection of a perfect other half. and then, slowly but surely, you had wormed your way into his heart, and his insistence on not having any such thing as a soulmate seems like such a flimsy rebuttal to the way you gaze at him in adoration, fingers trailing in your lips' wake as they brush over each individual mark on his chest.

he tries not to shiver when he feels your warm lips descend upon the skin of his back, your fingers tracing the faded marks that depict his life story with a silent promise that you'll be there for him, and to count every mark on his skin with tender care.

☆⋆｡𖦹°‧★ DAN HENG often finds himself staring in wonder at the moles which litter his arms. starting from his wrists, there is a dusting of them that creeps all the way up to his shoulders, placed upon his skin with such deliberate care that it's almost a foreign concept to him.

in the later hours of the night, he allows himself to muse over the possibility of a soulmate, a lover in a past life destined to find him again, trying to solve the mystery of their identity by peering at his arms as if their face is etched into them.

and when he meets you, he feels breathless all over again as your hands interlink with his own, clasping them so fervently that lightning practically runs up his spine as your lips reunite with his skin, once again staking their claim as you make your way from his wrists to the rest of his body.

☆⋆｡𖦹°‧★ JING YUAN bears his mark with pride, the distinct spot residing comfortly underneath his eye, attracting his attention to it every time he paises to study his reflection.

he wouldn't call himself a vain man, so he appraises that one mole before continuing on with his day, but it's not until you have his face cupped in your palms, and your eyes study his features with an intensity he had not felt until now, that you mention that he has two other moles on his face, albeit fainter.

and you make a point of reaffirming their existence at every chance you get, with you and jing yuan's morning routine involving your lips brushing against the faint mole on the apple of his cheek and bridge of his nose before landing a last one underneath his eye.

those only serve as a mere guidline, though, as you do not hesitate to pepper the rest of his unblemished face with kisses as your symbol of affection.

☆⋆｡𖦹°‧★ GEPARD does not know what to think of the moles that litter his collarbones. they're rather prominent, and if he lets himself think about them for too long, he'll start blushing.

even the thought of someone kissing him there makes his brain short circuit, so the sensation is definitely one that he will have to get used to with you.

the slightly sadistic part of you revels in the way his blushing face hides itself behind his hands when you kiss him on those marks, a muffled boyish giggle escaping his lips at the ticklish sensation of your lashes brushing against his skin when you lay your head against his chest.

you decide to place a few additional marks for his next life when you kiss the backs of his hands, until your lover relents and reveals his face to you once more, letting you place a final tender kiss to his lips.

☆⋆｡𖦹°‧★ WELT finds the little triangle of moles on his hipbone more humorous than anything. there's a certain intimacy to their placement that surpasses the more innocent and easily visible marks a person may have been granted by their soulmate, and he fonds himself wondering what kind of person his soulmate is for there to be the most frequent place they kiss.

and it's a pleasant surprise, really, as to how right it feels when you see those marks yourself and giggle, continuing their tradition by dropping a kiss to each in quick succession before grinning up at him with a smile so endearing that welt finds himself desperately committing the scene to memory.

Audio Drama Recommendations, Pt. II

For part one, click here. I went on another audio drama binge and I found some that were pretty fun to listen to. I usually tend to go after the ones that are completed because the longer the wait, the more likely I will forget the details, but this time I just went for anything that caught my attention. This also isn’t in any particular order.

The Magnus Archives – is a horror fiction anthology podcast written by Jonathan Sims, directed by Alexander J. Newall, and distributed by Rusty Quill.

The new Head Archivist of the Magnus Institute, Jonathan Sims, attempts to bring a seemingly neglected collection of people’s testimonials of their encounters with the supernatural up to date, converting them to audio and supplementing them with follow-up work from his small but dedicated team. [COMPLETED]

It has five seasons, each 40 episodes long, as well as additional content such as Q&As, non-canon fan-submitted statements and one-off episodes that tie in with Rusty Quill's other podcasts.

It does start out slow and maybe at some point you’ll be wondering where is this going and what does some of these episodes have to do with the overall story, but it does all eventually connect. Your patience will pay off because once the build-up is done it picks up and things get really interesting!

Unwell – is a horror podcast starring Clarisa Cherie Rios and produced by Hartlife NFP.

The story follows Lillian Harper who has returned home to Mt. Absalom, Ohio to care for her estranged mother Dorothy after an injury. Living in the town's boarding house which has been run by her family for generations, she discovers conspiracies, ghosts, and a new family in the house's strange assortment of residents. [ONGOING]

This audio drama has five seasons which runs for 12 episodes. It currently has 54 episodes in total and each one is about 20-30 minutes long. New episodes are released fortnightly (biweekly) on Wednesdays. They take a mid-season break between episodes 6 and 7.

Bridgewater – is a supernatural thriller audio drama produced by Grim & Mild and by iHeartRadio, created by Aaron Mahnke and written/directed by Lauren Shippen.

Folklore professor Jeremy Bradshaw is pulled into the mysterious 1980 disappearance of his police officer father, Thomas, by new evidence that threatens to upend decades of certainty. Along the way, he’s helped by some unlikely partners who challenge everything he believes in, and ultimately tries to answer the question: can the past actually be rewritten?

Together with his father’s former partner, retired Detective Anne Becker, Jeremy must chase the clues that will tell him whether his father really did fall victim to a Satanic cult in the Bridgewater Triangle—or something much more dark and unexplainable. [ONGOING]

It has two seasons, the first consist of 10 episodes and the second has 12 episodes. Each one runs about 20-30 minutes long. Season three was put on hold when there was news of a possible television series. However, that fell through and by then everyone was working on other projects. So a season three, well, that’s pretty much up in the air.

It stars Misha Collins (Supernatural), Melissa Ponzio (Teen Wolf), Nathan Fillion (Firefly, The Rookie), Karan Soni (Deadpool), Kristin Bauer (True Blood), Hilarie Burton Morgan (The Walking Dead, One Tree Hill), Wil Wheaton (Star Trek: The Next Generation), Jonathan Joss (The Magnificent Seven, Parks and Rec) and Lori Alan (Spongebob Squarepants, Family Guy).

The Lovecraft Investigations -- is a mystery thriller/horror fiction podcast written and directed by Julian Simpson, based on several works of H.P. Lovecraft. It’s produced by Sweet Talk Productions for BBC Radio 4. It concluded with three seasons and each episode is about 25-30 minutes long. There might be a fourth season in the works, but even if there isn’t the series is considered to be finished.

The first season starts off with an investigation into the disappearance of a young man, Charles Dexter Ward from a locked room in an asylum. [COMPLETED]

It is set on board the U.S.S. Hephaestus space station orbiting the star Wolf 359 on a deep space survey mission. The dysfunctional crew deals with daily life-or-death emergencies, while searching for signs of alien life and discovering there might be more to their mission than they thought. [COMPLETED]

how to connect to wi-fi services in pokemon gen 4 (DPPT/HGSS)

it's still possible to access the wi-fi services of the gen 4 games after the official shutdown of nintendo's wii/ds wi-fi in 2013 due to fan efforts by changing your DNS settings in-game - this is called the DNS exploit. this is popularly used in gen 5 which really has no complications, but in gen 4 it's a bit more complicated because the games are So old that they can't connect to the internet through modern routers due to fancy modern internet encryption. the connection either needs to have no password, or have WEP encryption, which most modern routers do not support. i had some people asking me how to do this so here's a post lol

first, it should be noted i use the pkmnclassic service, and i think you should too. this gives you access to old mystery gifts as well as pretty much every other wi-fi feature. their website also allows you to view pokemon currently uploaded to either gen 4 or 5's GTS through your browser. once you get your wi-fi set up properly, connecting to the internet will be easy, but that setup comes first. below i am going to list all the options i am currently aware of and able to explain

option 1 - phone hotspot (easy/convenient, doesn't work for every type of phone)

some phone hotspots are able to use old WEP type encryption, or be password-less. if you have access to a phone hotspot, it's worth taking off the password if it lets you and trying to connect to the gen 4 wi-fi with it before trying any other method, since if it works it's super convenient, just turn on the hotspot any time you want to do something online in gen 4 and turn it back off when you're done. unfortunately this depends on the type of phone and what OS its on and i don't have a list of what phones or OSes are compatible, so good luck lol. mine personally is not, and i have a fully updated iphone

option 2 - guest wi-fi (a little less convenient but still easy if you have access to router settings)

in the same vein as phone hotspots, guest wi-fi hotspots can also work, and this is what i personally use myself. the catch is you have to have access to your router settings, so if you're a young person using a parents' router without access to those or some other situation like that, you may have to ask for assistance every time you want to turn this on/off, which could be a dealbreaker for some unfortunately. but if you're able to do that, simply make your guest wi-fi password-less and turn it on when you want to connect to gen 4 wi-fi and turn it back off when you're done. since these settings pages are so different per internet provider, i can't really give a guide on how to do that here, though mine through verizon fios is pretty straightforward. some guest wi-fi may not work for this but i think most should

option 3 - use an old router that supports WEP encryption (probably inaccessible for most, but only has to be set up once and then you're done)

i've done this in the past but i had my dad's help with the process, i cannot walk you through buying an old router lol. but yes if you purchase an old router and set that up you can have password protected gen 4 wi-fi permanently

option 4 - save backup + emulation through melonds (works pretty much 100% of the time if you have a hacked 3DS and some sort of PC)

MelonDS is a really great DS emulator that you can find here for windows/linux/mac: https://melonds.kuribo64.net/downloads.php

the basic idea is that you can backup your save file/game with a hacked 3DS using Checkpoint or TWLSaveTool (outside the scope of this guide but this is easy to do and you can walk through the steps here) and then run it through melonds, which can bypass all this WEP/encryption hell for you and simply connect to the internet. of course this is not very convenient if you have to constantly back up your saves to do wi-fi stuff but it's better than nothing if you have no other option.

unfortunately setting up the wi-fi can be a pain, and you also need DS BIOS files to run everything properly, which i cannot provide myself for legal reasons but they uh... aren't that hard to find lol, and you can back them up from an actual DS if you have access to the necessary tools for that.

if you use a windows PC, feel free to use my version of melonds which already has all the wifi shit set up, you'll just need to provide your own bios files under emu settings (it's a bit old but it works great for this purpose): https://drive.google.com/file/d/1DQotaqFuBwXz1KYdQWiwxghtn3faLgj-/view?usp=sharing

edit: just found out right after posting this that the most recent version of melonds might work out the box without having to do any particular wi-fi setup? so feel free to try it instead of my version if you like

if you are using linux/mac or don't want to use my version, you'll have to use the melonDS FAQ/google to figure it out, i'm sorry!

by the way yes, this means even if you don't have a gen 4 cart and solely play over emulator, you can trade/battle/etc with people who are playing on DS - they connect to the same servers!

okay and NOW once you have one of those options set up, you can actually connect to wi-fi in game by doing the following:

(these screencaps are from my capture card, i am doing this on an actual DS, but you can also do this with melonds if you're using that option)

step 1: navigate to "NINTENDO WFC SETTINGS" in the menu where you press continue on your save file, in-game. in gen 4 you need to do it here and not in your DS settings.

step 2: tap "Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection Settings" and pick any of the three connections here to start the set-up. if you already have some here, i'd click "erase settings" underneath to start from scratch.

step 3: search for an access point and pick your desired access point from the list that comes up, and put in a password if needed (this assumes you have set up your wifi properly at this point)

step 4: it will attempt a connection to the internet, and may or may not throw an error. regardless, the error doesn't really matter, you can just hit "OK" whether it's successful or not

step 5: go back into your new connection (the box that previously said "None" should now say "Ready") and scroll down until you see the option "Auto-obtain DNS" - change this to "No"

step 6: change the primary DNS to pkmnclassic's DNS, which is 178.62.43.212 - in layman's terms this will essentially let you connect to their servers instead of nintendo's, which are obviously down. as for the secondary DNS, either leave it at 0.0.0.0 or change it to the same DNS as the primary

step 7: now would be a good time for a connection test. tap "Test Connection" in the top right. there should be a successful connection. assuming there is a successful connection, congrats! save your settings and enter your game as normal. you'll need to go to the basement of any pokemon center and pick up your pal pad, then try entering the wi-fi club (middle NPC at the counter) to test it in-game and get your friend code.

if there isn't, try a few more times or get closer to your access point - sometimes it's not you, the service can just occasionally be spotty. if you keep getting errors, you can use this site to look up what the error code might mean. if you still can't solve the issue, you may have to try a different method of connection as listed above.

sorry i couldn't be more in depth but frankly i'm not an expert on this stuff either, i'm just doing my best. there are a couple other options for doing this, like taking the password off your modern home wi-fi, or bridging your connection to an old laptop/computer, but the first is particularly dangerous so i didn't want to include it in the list and the second is completely out of my league, i just know people have done it before

✦ Lost in Limbo Devlog #4 | 07.31.23

Ahá! What is this?! Ravenstar Games' fourth devlog?! More likely than you think!

Before we start, we want to apologize once again for the inactivity and thank you for your patience. Our master degree has ended as of today, but September 15th is the day on which we must hand in everything we have done during the year. That means that technically, we still have to work until then—BUT we are back on track with Lost in Limbo and our plans for the game, and we are beyond excited!

Without further ado, let's jump right into it! 💜

So of course our most important milestone has been finishing our first key art! Yaaay! 🎉

We'll use this piece as a header for our socials, as well as an overall banner for steam, itch.io, etc. Raquel did an amazing job as always with this piece, and I had the pleasure to assist her with a few details and post-editing! We are so so happy to finally have this in our hands, it has made us feel like FINALLY we can work on our game again! :')

There's also of course the Barbie artwork, which was in the making for a long, long time. It was a silly little thing we wanted to do since Barbie was announced, and Kayden worked super hard to finish it right on time!

<<The Midnight Tower. It was there before our kind took its first breath, and it will be there after the last one is long gone.>>

Not really a background, but not a CG either—let's say this is a small sneak-peak of the demo! This is one of the first things you'll see while playing, and a core part of LiL's adventure; the Midnight Tower, a mysterious entity that seems to be somehow connected to you.

I'm already working on animating this piece; the inky fragments will float around, the fog will move, and you'll be able to join this little raven on his journey to the top! Special thanks to Kayden who was in charge of this one!

You can also see the tower in our key art, if you haven't noticed. It's great to see how LiL's lore and story is evolving and seeing the light slowly but surely! 💜

This month we are happy to show you the provisional main title screen for Lost in Limbo!! 💜 As per usual, I will animate the stained glass wheel to make it spin (like the logo in our webpage, hehe), and the fog will dance around with some nice particles!

All the screens for the game are done and we are waiting for our UI artist to send the files over so we can start programming and do some screenshots. We would have liked to do this during May, June and July (the months we knew would be packed with school work) but this has not been possible as the files have not been sent over to us yet. We hope we can get them soon enough!

These past months have been a rollercoaster thanks to our master degree, but we can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. Things have been mentally draining for us all because we wanted to work on our game, and there was always the fear of people "forgetting" about our project, (or worse, thinking we had suddenly vanished to never come back), but we had to focus on our grades.

When we started two years ago, we knew this would be difficult, but I think none of us expected the hardships to be this way. To avoid writing a wall of text, let's just say that when you create something, you want to protect it; you want people to see it bathed in the sunlight you see it under, and the fear of it being disappointing or not enough is something that has hit us hard recently because of our inability to work on it. BUT THAT'S OVER!

To end this on a happy note, we have to give our endless thanks not only to you all, for still being here ready to welcome us back, but specially to @crescencestudio (and I, Seyl, am incredibly grateful to them) for being one of our biggest supports during the past few months! We have been struggling besties and talking to them has been one of the few things keeping us sane. SO THANK YOU!!! 💜

A man named Cas wakes up in 2003 with no memories, but he's able to piece together a few things: Supernatural creatures exist, and most of them will hurt innocent civilians if he doesn't stop them; he has abilities that no human hunter should have, but he knows enough about human hunters to keep that to himself, and finally; he keeps running into another hunter named Dean Winchester, who must be as lonely as he is if he's willing to put up with those former facts long enough to help Cas unravel the mystery of who (or what) he really is. For his part, Dean's still (not) dealing with Sam's departure to Stanford, and figures distracting himself with a bit of mystery and intrigue is as harmless as it gets, right? Right.

Are you in the mood to experience the whole story developing a bit differently right from the start?

Then here you go!

On one hand there is Dean, still having a hard time handling his brother leaving for college years ago and trying to somehow manage by doing his due diligence as a hunter and following his father’s demands to the letter. Somewhere along the way, however, he starts to constantly cross paths with a man who remembers nothing from his life apart from his name and a strong urge to hunt monsters. At first Dean has no idea what to make of this guy who calls himself Cas, but over time their connection and relationship grows into something very personal as everything around them unravels.

If you ever wanted to know what would happen if you were to throw Cas into pre canon and early season SPN, this series certainly doesn’t hesitate to show you just that! Cas has no clue where he is coming from, who he even is deep down, and yet he gives it his everything to use his abilities to save as many people as possible.

And Dean, bless him, simply can’t help but be drawn to all of that (because how could he not?), no matter how hard he fights it. Since at the end of the day he is still Dean Winchester who’s simply unable to resist a blue-eyed weirdo of a guy who could very well be an actual honest-to-God angel or whatever (not that something like that exists, right?? RIGHT????) by the way he is acting and showing off his strange powers and all that. Poor Dean is just helpless and it’s the greatest fun to see him sinking deeper and deeper into the rabbit hole!

But it’s also intriguing to watch everything unfold in a slightly different manner, with some crucial details changed, and the mystery of Cas’ past, of his true being, is wonderfully depicted as they gather more and more breadcrumbs over time. I mean, technically we all know the answer to the puzzle that is Cas, contrary to the characters, and yet (or maybe especially because of it) you find yourself ridiculously invested.

And yes, this series is a big boy, I’ll give it that, but I promise you it’s worth it and you will barely feel time flying by as you dive into this alternate and yet so very familiar version of events which are going to leave you on the edge of your seat!

helloooo my lovelies!! i wanted to say thank you so much for the love on my series 'kickoff' so far :') it's only been a few days since i started uploading here on tumblr but i have received lovely comments and i'm so grateful. i have been having a lot of fun writing it but i thought it would be nice to have two series ongoing at once because i was experiencing some writer's block earlier this week, and it would be nice to switch between two works when inspiration doesn't strike for the other.

Which Digimon would Hazbin Hotel Characters Have? ((Potential Spoilers))

((Well, you guys asked for it and here I am to deliver. Side note, I love how there's already crossover fan art about this topic. Ya'll artists work fast dood. Anyway, as usual, unless specified otherwise, everyone gets a rookie level Digimon and they work their way up to at least Mega. Also, I'll try to prevent duplicates as much as possible. Fortunately, there's not too many characters to work with right now, so it shouldn't be too much of an issue. Finally, if you have ideas of your own, feel free to let me know.

Starting things off with the show's main character, Charlie Morningstar. And considering her relationship with both Razzle and Dazzle, I can hear strong arguments for Dracomon. Not only does Dracomon have 2 different main Digivolution lines, one with Thuraiyadramon as its mega and the other with Breakdramon, but also the fact that Dracomon are known to be ferocious, but show their gentle side toward those they trust like how Razzle and Dazzle are known to be a little mischievous but very loyal to Charlie and her companions. That being said, I might switch Breakdramon's mega form out with Examon since Breakdramon's known for going on rampages, causing destruction wherever it goes and Examon is a loyal Digimon Knight. That and for the past while, I can't help but imagine a giant Digimon like Examon or Tyrannomon simply lowering its head so Charlie and feed it and pet it. That image is adorable to me and is now on my list of reasons why I wish I could draw.

Next is Charlie's girlfriend, Vaggie, and I think Morphomon would suit her pretty well. Morphomon's carefree personality could mesh well with Vaggie's more serious and reserved self, being the only other person beside Charlie she can be open with and let her guard down around. Considering that Morphomon is also known for being cautious around others, needing to touch them first in order to determine if they're safe to be around, they can relate to each other. Not only that but it could also be a symbol of her relationship with Charlie during Season 1 of the show thanks to its power of illusion, since Vaggie hid the fact that she was a former demon exterminator throughout their whole relationship thus resulting in Charlie questioning if their whole relationship was built on lies despite believing that they shared everything they knew about each other. As for whether to let it keep its main evolution line or switch it to Hudiemon is up for debate.

Now onto my personal favorite character in the series so far, Alastor. And honestly, I think I have the perfect Digimon line for him, starting off with the Rookie being Dracmon. Dracmon are known for being the most mischievous Digimon causing pranks throughout the Dark Area. Granted, I don't see Alastor being a prankster, I do see him enjoying a bit of mayhem and could relate to Dracmon's ability to keeping a smile on his face and its ability to control others by having them look into the eyes on their hands could prove useful for some underhanded tactics. For champion, I have Bakemon for 2 reasons. 1, Bakemon's main attack, Hell's hand, which literally drag its victims to hell, like Alastor capturing souls to be forever tormented in whatever radio pocket dimension he has and 2, Bakemon are known for completely destroying any computer system it possesses. I think you know where this is going. For ultimate, we have Pumpkinmon. Granted not too much of a connection there outside of its origin being based on a rumor of it being a virus crafted on Halloween night, yet is completely docile toward others, which could link to Alastor's mysterious reputation as one of the most devious overlords in Hell, but for some reason, is willing to help Charlie with her goals. Finally we have the mega form being Noblepumpkinmon which fits Alastor to a T. It's a neutral Digimon who only wants to put a smile on other people's faces, it's both cheerful and mischievous, and just look at it.

Tell me this doesn't just scream Alastor. I dare you dood.

Now honestly, Angel Dust was hard for me to figure out. At best, I can think of is maybe Vemmon mainly due to it being an artificial Digimon programmed to do one thing and one thing only by its creator only to turn against said creator when it became powerful enough, like how Valentino owns Angel Dusts soul and makes him star in his films for long, tedious hours and is currently showing signs of defiance as shown when he got in between him and Niffty. That and Vemmon's name being taken from "Venom", anyone who watched the show knows what I'm talking about there, and Vemmon has the ability to turn its victims into Oinkmon and Angel Dust happens to have a pig for a pet named Fat Nuggets. Its champion form, Snatchmon still works, but its ultimate and mega forms are the ones I have problems with, unless if we see Angel Dust reaching his breaking point and pulling a huge crash out in Season 2 or 3. For now, I'm switching the ultimate form to Master Tyrannomon due to it being a Digimon known for its battle scars, and while Angel Dust may not have any physical scars (that we know about), he certainly have some mental ones. In fact, it would be interesting to see Master Tyrannomon as a physical representation of all the emotional scars Angel Dust has gotten from being under Valentino's thumb. Finally, the mega form would be Gaiomon, which I think is a neat way of showing Angel Dust being "reborn" and overcoming his situation.

Husk was also tricky to figure out. At first I wanted to given him a Demidevimon to represent him working for Alastor, but I don't think it would fit him personality wise. So instead, I'm giving him a Gotsumon to start, who are known for being cheerful, but at the same time can be a bit of a bully, which I think is more fitting for Husk's more blunt and grumpy personality. That and he's a bartender so chances are an "on the rocks" pun would be worked in somehow. I can't think of one right now, but you know. Now Deputymon might seem a bit odd at first until you recall that both it and Husk love gambling. For the ultimate, I'm giving him Reapmon because of how it looks, the theory about it being a demon lord digimon in disguise, and how it's an all knowledgeable Digimon willing to give up info in exchange for a price, which may seem more on Alastor's Ally, but Alastor isn't the only one binding people via deals. And the mega form will be Beelzemon because out of the mega forms I see available for this line, he's the most fitting.

Now we move on to Niffty, the little maid demon that stabbed Adam to death in the season finale. And no, I'm not going to give her any of the maid sisters as I don't think any of them would suit her. Instead I'm giving her a Gumdramon for 2 reasons. 1, Gumdramon are mischevious Digimon that loves to show off in dangerous situations, which would mesh well with Niffty's somewhat unhinged personality (as long as Gumdramon doesn't make a mess everywhere) and 2, Gumdramon's hidden potential as it can warp Digivolve into its mega, Arresterdramon. Considering the current theories about Niffty being an unknown overlord, it would be interesting to see her unlock that warp Digivolution somehow.

Next up, Lucifer and I have 2 different digimon lines in mind for him. First is obviously Lucemon due to the name, them being the rulers of Hell and Dark Web and their not-so-great relationship with heaven. Lucemon's idea to create a new world might not be good in the long run, but I'll wait until the show gets longer before fully deciding that. Though instead of the Shadowlord Mode, I'm sticking him with its X-Antibody form. The other being Toy Agumon due to his creativity, but I can't think of anything pass that as of right now, so if you have any ideas, please let me know.

Now we have Sir Pentious and you already know he's going to get a line with Digitamamon being the Ultimate stage. And I do like the idea of Minervamon being the Mega Form showing Sir Pentious's redemption after some build up of Digitamamon potentially becoming either Devitamon or Titamon if not raised properly or if Sir Pentious still had the idea of some form of revenge in the back of his head. As for the rookie form, sadly, there aren't many snake like Digimon to my surprise so I guess the main form, Goburimon would work for now.

Up next is Cherri Bomb and like Sir Pentious, her Digimon line is a little obvious with the Champion form being BomberNanimon. Whether it starts as Hagurumon or Impmon, I'll leave that up for debate. Keeping with the bomb theme, Giromon can become the ultimate form, and I guess we can make Chaosdramon the mega as its the only one in the line I can see that makes sense considering it's kind of a powerhouse that destroys everything around it, you know, like a bomb. Sadly, I only have enough time for one more today, but if ya'll enjoy this idea, I'll come back and make a Pt 2 of this. For now, let's end things off with another character that I really like and wish to see more of.

As we've seen so far, Emily is practically heaven's version of Charlie as they have the same energetic and empathetic personality. That said, I'm going to give her a Digimon that might be on the nose starting off, but might also be more interesting later on. I'm giving her a Patamon to start off with. Why a Patamon instead of a Salamon? You'll find out if I ever make a Pt 2. If you haven't figured it out already. So yeah, we'll stick with the main line being Angemon, then Magna Angemon, then whichever holy Digimon that floats your boat... if Emily stays in heaven. Remember, Sera warned her that going against Heaven's guidelines would result in her becoming fallen, and if that happens, that's when the Digivolution line changes from the Angemon line to the Devimon line as it is rumored that Devimon are actually fallen Angemon.

“Iris! Did you hear the brilliant news?” The bright, shit eating grin on Arthur’s face was plenty cause for concern. What was more concerning was the brief panic that washed over Theo’s face before he began glaring at the novelist.

“Brilliant news, you say? I haven’t, no,” she replied coolly, her hands not slowing as she diced the vegetables to go in their dinner that night. A balled up piece of paper connected with Arthur's head and he laughed.

“Arthur, don’t-”

“Our Theo is going on a date tonight! Isn’t it the sweetest?”

Theo. On… a date? Everything seemed to slow down for a moment; Iris' mind whirred with thoughts of the situation. She quickly snapped herself out of the spiraling thoughts that would no doubt leave her feeling utterly depressed and focused on schooling her face to keep a neutral expression. “Well, that’s quite the development! So, who is this mystery woman?” Theo’s own features soured at her words and he huffed, crossing his arms over his chest and sitting heavily on the sofa.

“That’s the crux of it, Iris! She is a mystery woman! You see, I learned what a blind date is and decided that was just the thing our Theo needed!" The ice that filled her veins nearly made her shiver. He agreed to this? She looked to Theo, working to control her breathing as her heart pounded hard in her ribcage. The world was shrinking, collapsing around her like a dying star and he couldn't even look at her? Her lungs hurt from the controlled effort. 'Stay neutral. Stop it. He's not yours . This is what you get for putting it off. You should have told him you should have told him you should have told him you should have-'

"I only agreed to get you off my back, klootzak." The words felt distant as Iris listened to them arguing lightly with one another. Theo was going on a date. He was finally interested in dating. She recalled a conversation around the time they first met. Vincent teased him, wishing his little brother would settle down with someone. Theo had rejected the idea with the clause that he would consider it when Vincent himself found someone. And, to the extent of her knowledge, Vincent hadn't started dating. So why…?

"Ah! Shit." Too caught up in her thoughts, she cursed lightly as her attention to her knife skills had all but disappeared. A small gash of blood bloomed on her finger and she dropped the knife in the sink, immediately putting her hand under running water. She didn't notice just how quickly Theo had raced to her side and helped her to bandage her finger as cleanly and quickly as possible. She did still live with vampires, after all. Theo seemed completely unaffected by her blood as he helped her which only solidified the notion that anything she thought was flirting before was that and only that. None of it had been serious. Theo was cool as a cucumber as he helped her and neither noticed when Arthur had slipped out of the kitchen. She felt a resigned sort of sadness wash over her but still looked at him with a smile. "Well. If all goes well with this mystery woman, she'll have someone very capable when it comes to emergencies," she said lightly, unable to keep the teasing lilt from her voice.

Iris felt Theo’s eyes studying her intently as she went back to cooking. ‘For one less now that Theo has a date,’ she reminded herself bitterly. The tension in the air was palpable and they both felt the suffocating weight of the past five minutes. Thankfully, best friend and brother Vincent entered the kitchen; the painter now there to the unknowing rescue. Theo pardoned himself with the excuse to walk Prince. "I should walk him before going… excuse me." His words were stilted and awkward and he left, leaving the other two behind. Vincent watched her intently and she knew that he could see every emotion running across her face. She sighed and put the knife down, looking at her best friend. She hated the look she saw. His smile was so sad and she did her best to not crumble. Iris composed herself quickly, determined to not give in to the waves of emotion she was feeling. It wasn't fair to anyone, including her, to feel sorry for herself. She refocused on cooking dinner for the night, attempting to double down on her concentration.

"Zusje." Iris pointedly ignored Vincent's call to her as she continued about the kitchen, making herself busy. He called to her again and frowned as she ignored him. He resorted to stopping her as she walked by, taking the bag of potatoes from her. "Iris. Stop and talk to me." She frowned and went to take the potatoes back, scowling lightly as Vincent kept them out of her reach handily.

"There's nothing to talk about. Now, if you'd be so kind as to give me those potatoes back." Vincent shook his head, his eyes melancholy for his friend.

"You should tell him when he gets back."

"Like hell I will."

"Why not? Better you than a mystery, no?"

"Because if he already thought of me that way, he wouldn't have agreed to go on the blind date in the first place." Iris' tone was sharp but her eyes betrayed that with the soft sadness that was behind them. "I'm not going to take advantage of the situation. If he agreed to go on a blind date, that's his choice and we need to be respectful of that." Vincent frowned lightly at her words.

"Do you not believe you deserve happiness, too? What if he's just as much a klootzak as Arthur and just didn't know-" Iris cut him off, getting a large pot out and filling it with water.

"He knows what he wants and he goes for it. He's not some shy school boy with a silly crush. Vincent, I'm not saying I've given up hope but I can't tell him not to go on that date just because I want him. It's so… selfish. What if he ends up being really into whoever she is?"

"Exactly. Iris, if he falls for her, what do you do?" The words hit her like a (figurative) sack of potatoes and she froze in place for a moment. Vincent came over and turned the tap off, sighing as he handed over the previously stolen bag of root vegetables. "Just… think it over, zusje. I love you both and I want to see you both happy." He put a hand on her head and gave her a small smile in hopes of encouraging her. She looked up to him and gave a small sigh.

"I'll… consider it."

“Here, doll. It’s on the house.” Another half-water whiskey was placed in front of him by the waitress. Theo tried not to bristle at the thought that any of the staff was pitying him because his blind date had stood him up. He was going to absolutely throttle Arthur the next time he saw him. When he said Arthur had been pestering him, it was honestly an understatement. Every day. For two months. He gave the waitress the smallest smile in existence before she left. Sighing, he picked up the glass and sipped at its contents. He berated himself silently as he stared out the large front window, vowing to never listen to Arthur again when the current subject of his ire came into view. He was perilously close to crushing the glass in his hand when he saw Iris trailing just behind. A sense of dread washed over him and he quickly assessed just how quickly he could get out without being seen. That, however, was not going to be feasible.

“My dear, chin up! You’ve been moping since dinner and I am nothing if not determined to cheer you up!” Arthur stated proudly, earning a half-hearted glare from Iris as they walked into the cafe. The author picked a small table only one away from Theo’s and Theo knew the moment they walked in that his every move was calculated. The couple between their tables was leaving any moment now. He took another sip of his drink before sighing and pushing his hand through his hair as he contemplated murder.

“I have not been moping ,” Iris protested, pouting. Arthur chuckled a little and brought up the menu of drinks available, humming as he thought of what to order. “I’ve just… been a bit tired.” Arthur tilted the menu forward so he could look at her disbelievingly.

“I’ll believe that the day Vincent stops painting,” he scoffed. Iris huffed indignantly before lifting up her own menu. To any outsider it looked as if Iris and Arthur were on a date that was going poorly, but Theo was picking up the pieces. There was no date that had stood him up. His date had just picked up a menu. He swallowed thickly, his jaw tense as he kept his low profile. “Now, darling, pick out what you’d like. It’s on me tonight.”

The next five minutes were easily the most tense of Theo’s entire life. The waitress had taken Iris and Arthur’s drink orders. Arthur had excused himself to the restroom. He watched as the couple between them got ready to leave, leaving a clear line of sight between himself and Iris. He averted his eyes to his drink as he contemplated leaving still (not that there was a chance to do so now). Any moment now…

“Theo?” He looked up from his drink as Iris called for him and he acknowledged her briefly. It didn’t take her long to realize he had been ‘stood-up’ as far as she knew and, as he predicted, she got up from her table to go to his and sat across from him. “Your date didn’t show?” She asked, seeing the lack of any other beverages at the table except for his. “I’m so sorry.”

Theo shook his head and frowned. “Don’t be, hondje. This is the last time I ever let Arthur set me up on a date,” he vowed, pushing his hand through his hair again. He felt his tension waning as she looked at him with her kind-hearted worry. He smirked before nudging her foot with his gently under the table. “Seriously. He just didn’t tell me my date was running late.”

Iris opened her mouth to say something as the waitress came by with her wine. The waitress wore a knowing smile and told her that her ‘friend’ had taken care of payment before leaving. Theo let her process the information for a moment, his smile widening as a blush crept its way across her freckled cheeks. “I…” she trailed off, swallowing thickly as she realized she didn’t know what to say.

“I suppose he was tired of neither of us taking initiative,” Theo filled in aloud, smirking when she tried to hide her blush as she sipped from her glass. She bit gently at the inside of her lip as she met his gaze again. “And… as much as I was contemplating murder earlier, I think I owe him one.” Iris’ smile slowly began to grow at the further implication that he was happy for this turn of events and a small laugh escaped her lips. She gently nudged his foot back.

“I’m glad to be here, too.”

No one POV

It's been a few days since the pool accident and Y/n has been avoiding Ajax, Xavier and Enid. Parents weekend is in a few hours. Y/n knew her mother won't make it but she had a little bit of hope. "Bye mother". Y/n said ending the portal call.

She sighed before groaning. Ever since the night by the statue Y/n wound have been itching and burning when she past it but she never got the chance to go and look deeper into it.

"Ms Y/n please come to the qaud". Ms Thornhill said popping her head out. "Yes Ms". Y/n said putting a jacket on. Grabbing her phone she walked as slowly to the qaud as possible. Not wanting parents weekend to start.

When she got there she saw Enid, Xavier and Ajax standing together with Wednesday behind them. She wasn't going to go stand with them since she doesn't k now how they feel about the wounds.

10 minutes went by and all sorts of people walked in going to there children. Most of the kids looked just like their mother's and some looked like their fathers. Y/n never knew her father but she didn't want to. The stories she heard lead her to believing he was a bad man.

Smiling when she saw Ajax parents crushing him with hugs before kissing his face all over made her feel happy. His smile was the reason she got up in the morning.

She looked down when he caught her staring making his parents notice it to. "Is that your girlfriend". His mother asked making Ajax light up with a bright sade of red. "Mom stop". He said rubbing his neck which made her chuckle.

Seeing everyone with their families changed Y/n mood. Knowing her mother she doesn't like contact with the human people let alone other people with special abilities but that's what she liked about her mother. Always mysterious and quite. Deep down she did care for Y/n but was afraid of showing emotions.

Y/n mother grew up knowing if you show emotions you'll be seen as weak and useless and her mother was nothing like that. Yet she did put thorn walls around her kingdom when she heard they were picking on Y/n for having horns. What Y/n mother would do to keep her safe

Y/n POV

I was about to walk away when I saw something that made me stop. A black crow standing at the top of the roof. I recognized those wings from mile away. It was Diaval my mother's partner in crime. I quickly stood up ready to head to the roof when I heard a loud thud behind me.

Most people stopped talking and looked behind me faves turning slightly pale when they saw a winged women behind me. I turned around quickly with a smile on my face. "Mother". I said before hugging her tightly.

"My dearest child don't push the limits okay". Maleficent said tapping my back. I didn't let go making her sigh. She slowly wrapped her wings around us hugging me just as tight. " I missed you". I said pulling away. "I must say I missed you to. It's very quite in the palace". My mother said opening her wings.

"I see you have gotten my gift". My mother said touching my horns that was wrapped in a light blue scarf. "Thank you mother I love it". I said with a smile on my face. "So this is nevermore". She said looking around. "Yeah it is quite big on the inside but it's alright". I said holding her arm.

"Any good news child". My mother said looking down. "Yes well kind off. I have been feeling a strong connection from one of the statues near the qaud. I like feel my wings but I haven't gotten the time to go and check it out". I said looking at Ajax.

"Who's that. Was he the one that hurted you". My mother said trying to walk over to him. "No no mother he's the boy I like". I said grabbing her arm. "Please don't say anything just keep it low key okay". I said pulling her to sit down.

She scoffed. "I can be low key or whatever you children say these days". She said rolling her eyes.

Ajax POV

While I was standing talking to my parents silence filled the whole qaud. I looked around only to see a women with the same horn as Y/n and wings. "Mother". She said before hugging her.

Her. Mother. Is. MALEFICENT?? I looked over to Xavier and Enid to see them also having the same expression on their faces. That took a turn I never expected. She looked just like her mother well except for the wings part. I was happy to see her smile when her mother hugged her.

No one POV

Y/n took her mother to her room to let her get settled in. When they walked in the room looked just like the morgue which made maleficent smile. "I asked for a second bed and made it just like the one at home mother for you". Y/n said showing the bed that looked like a nest.

Even though she thought her mother wouldn't come she still prepared. "Thank you my child". She said. "Now what do you do all day". Her mother said sitting on the nest bed.

"Well we go to school learning about plants and normal school stuff". Y/n said taking her scarf off. "Sometimes we go to the local town to do jobs". She continued putting on comfortable clothes.

Her mother sighed before standing up. Before Y/n could put on a shirt she felt her mother hand touch her wounds slightly. "You'd look so beautiful with your wings my child". Maleficent said. "Thanks mom". Y/n said with a ile but deep down she wondered why she didn't have wings.

Parents weekend was a blast for Y/n. Going on late night flies with her mother and Diaval. Diaval was a sharp shifter and always saw Y/n as his child. He would always with the help of maleficent tune into a big bird before flying with Y/n on his back around the woods.

When the weekend was over Y/n was a bit emotional but her mother promised to come back as soon as possible. She watched her mother and Diaval fly away before whipping her eyes dry.

It was the day of the Raven dance and everyone was running around trying to find dresses to wear while Y/n didn't care one bit. She wasn't planning on going since she didn't have a date nor a dress.

"Oh come on please Y/n". Enid said walking closer. "It will be so fun. Be my friend date then you won't be alone". She said smiling. "Enid I'll think about it okay". Y/n said sighing. "That's not a no nor a yes I'll take it". Enid said rushing over to Wednesday.

Y/n walked into her room seeing the most beautiful dress hanging from the ceiling by vines. "Woah". She said walking closer to the dress seeing a letter

"My dearest child. I have heard a lot about this Raven dance or whatever you call it and decided to give you one of my dresses. Diaval said that a white themed dance so I hope you like it. I want portal fotos love mother". Y/n read out loud with a smile on her face. "Thanks mother and Diaval". Y/n said picking the same colored scarf to match.

Night time

The dance already started and Y/n was still in her room. She sighed looking as the the dress before putting it on. It showed way to much of her back and she disliked it a lot. She groaned looking for another scarf to put over her shoulders when she heard someone.

"You know you don't have to fit in to be beautiful". A British man said. " Diaval what are you doing here". Y/n said turning around. "Your mother sent me because she knew you'd doubt yourself. Y/n wings or no wings it doesn't make you t he person you are". Diaval said before taking the scarf away. "Be yourself tonight". "But-" "But nothing your gorgeous just like your mother now go and enjoy it". Diaval said hugging me tightly.

"Wait before that". Y/n said taking her horn hat off letting her hair fall loose. "That's my girl". He said before turning into a crow. Y/n put her shoes on before leaving.

Yes she was nervous but she didn't care. When she got closer she could hear the people laughing and talking about something different. Loud music played from the inside and the smell of alcohol was everywhere.

"Oh my soul Ms Y/n you look gorgeous". Ms Thornhill said surprised. " Oh thank you". Y/n said with a smile. Whispered was heard as Y/n made her way into the Hall and all eyes we're on her. She didn't liked the attention but who could blame her?

"Oh my soul Ajax look at Y/n isn't she gorgeous". Enid said shaking him violently. " Enid my beanie is going to fall off stop it". Ajax said before looking at Y/n. His jaw dropped faster then his grades as he started at Y/n.

"Go ask her already". Xavier said pushing Ajax closer to Y/n. "Um hi Y/n". Ajax said rubbing his neck. "Oh Ajax hi". Y/n could feel her cheeks burning as she made eye contact with him. "You look amazing". Ajax said smiling. "Oh thank you, you look handsome yourself". Y/n said. In fact Ajax was always handsome.

"I know this is very unromantic and so late but I have been trying to ask you this for at least four days but you always walk away. Would you like to be my date to the Raven". Ajax said hoping he'll hear a yes. " I'd love to Ajax ". Y/n said with a smile.

The night went on and Y/n loved being with Ajax again. Laughing and talking like they did before the accident. Now they were walking hand in hand outside the hall. "I just want to say I'm sorry for what happened". Ajax said stopping. "You know what it's really okay Ajax". Y/n said looking at him before smiling.

"I wanted to give you this". Ajax said before pulling her ripped scarf out of his pocket. "I'd thought you'd like to have it back". He continued. "Thank you". Y/n said kissing his cheek gently.

Just as they were about to walk Y/n groaned in pain before falling to her knees. "Y/n what's wrong". Ajax said dropping next to her. "My back hurts". She groaned louder gripping Ajax hand.

"I'm going to look okay". Ajax said before moving her hair away. "Your wounds are red Y/n". He said worried. "Take me to the statue". Y/n stutter before being lifted up. Ajax rushed to the statue before snapping two time.

He was unsure if you ment go in or stay out but decided to go in for privacy. She groaned louded at they got closer to the main floor feeling as if her wounds were being ripped out.

"Ajax make it stop please". Y/n said gripped his hand. "I don't know what to do. I can go get Enid". He said. "Please don't leave me". Y/n begged softly feeling hot tears run down her face.

The sound of glass break was heard through out the whole library with flapping noises follow behind. Ajax looked around seeing nothing but books confused on what he's hearing.

Suddenly a pare of wings flew down before attaching themselves against Y/n back. She yelled in pain and a glowing light came from her back making Ajax more worried.

What are your thoughts on the seer Kaeya theories that were going around? Cause apparently I have many thoughts that I'm trying to keep from spamming you with lmao basically there's him not being a seer and his network really is that good (but not good enough to tell him about the nations wide treasure hoarder scheme), him being a seer (same issue as before), having only vague premonitions (which is funny cause he uses them as stories to spook kids), or he DOES have seer information it just isnt his own (second hand and why he had to lure out Dain for confirmation). Each have some merits but all still have some pretty glaring issues as well that it's hard to tell which way the story is going to go.

oh i have MANY thoughts about this (warning: it's a long read)

IS KAEYA A SEER?

PART 1: HINTS OF OMNISCIENCE

from the very beginning we are told and shown kaeya is very knowledgeable.

勇敢的小伙子班尼特对这位无所不知的大哥信赖有加. Bennett, a brave young man, has a lot of trust in this big brother who knows everything.

in kaeya's official chinese profile, bennett trusts kaeya as his omniscient big brother.

kaeya's constellation is a peacock. the tailfeathers of peacocks have spots resembling eyes. kaeya's namecard in cn hints at kaeya having many eyes…

孔雀漂亮尾羽上的花纹很像是永不闭上的眼睛。所以凯亚并非少了一只眼睛,而是 The patterns on the beautiful tail feathers of a peacock resemble eyes that never close. So Kaeya isn't missing an eye, rather... [he has many of them].

fischl's voiceline about kaeya is as follows:

Fischl: His nature is obscure, his fate a mystery, and his speech a vexing tapestry woven of both fact and fiction… Perhaps he and I share the burden of mystical sight…

NOW i want to make it clear that fischl is actually important to understanding kaeya. kaeya is in part based on the indian prince baby from midsummer night's dream. midsummer night's dream in german is mittsommernachtstraum, which is the inspiration behind the name of fischl's princess outfit, immernachtstraum. princess fischl seems to have existed in teyvat, as seen in the description for midsummer courtyard:

With the fall of the ancient lost civilization, the once prosperous and magnificent Sommernachtgarten was also buried underground, leaving only its ancient trees and stones to remember its past glory.

sommernachtgarten is in turn mentioned in the book flowers for princess fischl. this book is published by yae's publishing house just to add more to how suspicious this all is.

what the connection here is, i really cannot say, but for now fischl's voiceline about kaeya should NOT be taken for granted.

PART 2: SEER, POET, KING

let's look into the possible meaning behind the name "kaeya".

MANDATORY DISCLAIMER: there are many possibilities for what "kaeya" might mean so please don't take any of this as fact. however, i have no doubt the creative team are aware of the many meanings behind his name and could possibly be playing around with that. i would too, if i were a writer.

some of sumeru's mythology draws inspiration from the shahnameh, the book of kings, which is a persian epic. in kaeya's hangout he plays prince qubad, opposite frasiyav. i have talked about this before, (see: the bottom reblog) and how i suspect frasiyav might represent irmin. i believe qubad's namesake is either kay qubad or kay qobad. however, the character kaeya is playing is based on siyavash, son of kay kavus, (and future son-in-law of frasiyav 👀 but let's leave that discussion for another time). these are all characters from the shahnameh. siyavash and qobad belong to the kayanians.

KAYĀNIĀN (Kayanids), in the early Persian epic tradition a dynasty that ruled Iran before the Achaemenids, all of whom bore names prefixed by Kay from Avestan kauui

so, could "kaeya" actually be derived from this dynasty's epithet "kay"? let's take a look at what kauui can mean:

As an epithet of kings and the reason the dynasty is so called, Middle 𐭪𐭣 and New Persian kay(an) originates from Avestan 𐬐𐬀𐬎𐬎𐬌 kavi (or kauui) "king" and also "poet-sacrificer" or "poet-priest".

Kavi is the Indo-Iranian term for “(visionary) poet.”

i'm oversimplifying it but basically kay can stand for seer, poet, king (not to be confused with soldier, poet, king). all of these terms are connected to kaeya.

king: alberich literally means elf king, or ruler of elfs, and kaeya has been foreshadowed to be royalty

poet: kaeya has taken poetry "lessons" from venti and this even comes back up again in his hangout…with venti again

so if we follow the pattern the seer part would also apply to him, right?

Their poems are made by their thoughts (mati, etc.), and they send their “poetic visions” (dhī) into the divine world.

this is very interesting because it reminds me of the venti route in kaeya's hangout titled: Poems Dedicated to the Wind AND of dainsleif's character description. the text is a prophecy in the form of a poem given by a self-proclaimed prophet.

The confluence between the past and future. The original calamity had been overturned, yet the island in the sky set the earth to burn. Chalk pursues gold, in this time inopportune, the eclipse is swallowed by the crimson moon. The future must atone for bygone mistakes, as the bond familiar falters and breaks— of the same blood, elders and the youth… Such is the cycle of the world, in truth. Dain, what is that strand of blonde hair to you? Someone you must kill? Or the object of your penitence? —A self-proclaimed prophet.

now, i'm NOT claiming kaeya wrote this or will say this to dainsleif, but my point is that there is a connection between seers and poetry.

(HOWEVER, the fact that the text refers to dainsleif as dain denotes a friendship between the speaker and dain, (remember dainsleif is literally named after kaeya's sword, there's no way they won't become friends), and self-proclaimed prophet implies the speaker isn't well-established as a prophet yet 👀. furthermore, kaeya references the second part of the prophecy (which is likely about him) in his hangout.

Kaeya: History always repeats itself. Kaeya: Perhaps there's an inept god out there deciding everyone's fates… much like the Akademiya student drafting Darbil's scripts. Kaeya: Yep, "inept" is a good word for it. Honestly, it might even be a little too civil to describe a god who turns fathers against their sons and is bent on endless warmongering… don't you think?)

now, because kaeya tends to lie a lot, it's hard to tell if he's actually good at writing poetry. the poem he wrote to venti sucked major ass, but since kaeya likes to mess with venti bc he knows he's barbatos, this was most likely on purpose.

the talent books kaeya uses are the same as venti's: the ballad books. here's the description for philosophies of ballad:

Poetry is the soul of the land of the wind. Poetry is the manifestations of the desire to spread the word.

SOUNDS AWFULLY SIMILAR TO WHAT WE JUST ESTABLISHED ABOUT "KAY" AND POETIC VISIONS… getting waaay off track here but i think we can safely connect kaeya to seer, poet, king.

PART 3: THE BURDEN OF MYSTICAL SIGHT

bet you're probably thinking, "seer kaeya needs more evidence than hearsay and etymology". let's think back on it: has kaeya ever shown any hints if foresight? well, that's a bit harder to figure out. it certainly does seem as if kaeya knows more than he should. before we go any further, i propose two interpretations of seer: a prophet OR someone who can see beyond the limitations of the world, like a melusine.

alright, let's list all the times kaeya showed off his huge brain:

a) he knows venti is barbatos. to be fair, this isn't that hard to figure out for anyone who looks too closely; venti is complete shit at hiding his identity. but the question of how and when exactly kaeya came to this conclusion remains unanswered.

b) kaeya could sense the abyss mage in the temple of the wolf but the traveler and paimon did not. in the same vein, he could also sense dainsleif spying on him. this might have something to do with the corruption or some type energy inside of them, but who knows, maybe kaeya has eyes in the back of his head. edit: muted-honey pointed out that back in the windblume festival, kaeya could sense a suspicious individual (rosaria) behind him from his right side 😮‍💨

c) kaeya probably knew alice was the one who was behind the golden apple archipelago from the start. also not that hard to figure out, plus he's met her before so he knows what she's like. but then why did he pretend to be in the dark the entire time?

Kaeya: Huh? Did I ever guess what was going on, you ask? Kaeya: Haha… not a chance. I'm much too naive, I was in the dark the whole time.

WHO WOULD EVEN BELIEVE THIS OBVIOUS LIE 😭

d) the tcg cards. hoo boy. kaeya left a deck of cards inside the cat's tail for the traveler to use, apparently he didn't even touch the cards.

Diona: Uh, a customer left it behind a few days ago. But he wasn't even playing the game while he was here. Diona: Eh, it's already been a few days and he still hasn't come back to claim them. Who knows, maybe he left them here on purpose…

this is never explained or brought up again. how did he know the traveler would need a deck of cards??? WHY DID HE EVEN DO THIS???!

e) kaeya knew idyia was an oceanid all along. nothing groundbreaking here, but kaeya's attempts to downplay his perceptiveness is reminiscent of the alice situation.

Kaeya: So our General was the first to notice? It seems like she's more perceptive than she lets on… Eula: I'd say the same about you, Kaeya.

f) kaeya was expecting the the traveler to show up in the caribert quest. this is also never explained or brought up again. he even went so far as to wait every single day for them to show up. this is interesting because it could mean that whatever foresight kaeya received simply isn't detailed enough. think the stone slates from the fontaine prophecy; it only showed the stopping points but not the journey.

g) if you pay close attention, kaeya mentions luck/chance/fate a LOT. especially when he runs into the traveler, like 'how unexpected', 'didn't expect to see you here' etc. i'm not going to go back to collect every instance, but trust me it's enough that it reaches mona levels. even his death voicelines reference this…

yeah why was that unexpected kaeya? because you already know you're not supposed to die yet or what?

PART 4: NABU MALIKATA, NICOLE, AND KHAENRI'AH

now let's go back to the kayanians again, because there is something very interesting about them…

The word is also etymologically related to the Avestan notion of kavaēm kharēno, the "divine royal glory" that the Kayanian kings were said to hold.

kavaēm kharēno means khvarenah. the kayanians possess khvarenah! i already go a bit in depth here about the in-game notion of khvarena and how kaeya or his mother could've possessed this.

the tl; dr is that khvarena are born from nabu malikata's body. this was then fashioned into a divine bird which i only recently found out could've been a peacock. (see the post i linked, specifically the addition.)

this is important, not only because kaeya's constellation is a peacock, but because NABU MALIKATA was a prophet, nabu even means prophet!

IF kaeya has the khvarena inside him, could he be able to divine the future as well, albeit to a lesser extent than a visionary?

so that's the nabu malikata of it all, let's move on to nicole. as you know, nicole's teacups are found in dawn winery. i do believe this a deliberate choice: every other witch is given an incredibly elaborate looking teacup but for nicole they chose to reuse the dawn winery teacups.

then they even put kaeya in the same shot with the teacup during his hangout! could not have dropped a bigger hint here!

nicole is a visionary, a guide, a disembodied voice, could it be that she is actually whispering in his ear, occasionally providing him information? it doesn't seem likely as nicole only shows herself when a significant change has occured, but we can't rule out the possibility just yet. or is the teacup simply a hint that like nicole, kaeya is omniscient?

now about khaenri'ah… don't take my word for it but i believe khaenri'ah could be derived from "priestess/priest of the winds" in arabic.

priest of the winds (kahin riah) كاهن رياح priestess of the winds (kahinat riah) كاهنة رياح

most likely they chose this because of the anemoi gods (the cardinal winds) being attested as "priestess/prophetess of the winds" in mycenaean-greek.

The earliest attestation of the word in Greek and of the worship of the winds by the Greeks, are perhaps the Mycenaean Greek word-forms 𐀀𐀚𐀗𐀂𐀋𐀩𐀊, a-ne-mo-i-je-re-ja, 𐀀𐀚𐀗𐄀𐀂𐀋𐀩𐀊, a-ne-mo,i-je-re-ja, i.e. "priestess of the winds".

it says priestess but ijereja can also mean PROPHETESS. does this also not remind you of what we discussed before, of the poems/visions written to the wind?

khaenri'ah does have connections to divination. king irmin is based on odin. odin hung himself from the world tree yggdrasil to gain extensive knowledge about the world, sacrificing his eye in the process. the description for the quest item silver twig references this legend;

"Trees" also symbolize wisdom. In one of the legends, a sage hanging upside down on a tree had acquired the knowledge of how to inscribe runes and control sacred words, and thus followed the kingdom established along the tree's roots, eventually gaining a glimpse of the secret of the cosmos.

now based on what we know of odin, i think this sage was irmin and not deshret. HOWEVER, we should take note of how the sage's gender is made unclear… 👀 in any case, this makes it likely irmin posesses foresight, or at least acquired the means to divination. is kaeya covering his eye a hint that he's in a similar situation?

looking at the other khaenri'ahns we have in game, it seems pierro is also quite knowledgeable. however, one explanation could be that he's using columbina to divine the future since she's a seelie like nabu malikata.

dainsleif claims to have knowledge of fate itself and i think it has to do with the blue irminsul lines on his body… these lines resemble the branches of irminsul and the dragon queller, azhdaha's tail. in the description for the dragon-queller, they call this energy moonlight.

A strange tree whose branches flow with clear, cold moonlight.

we've established kaeya attracts crystalflies towards him, and crystalflies are drawn to elemental energy and leylines… should be noted that a TON of crystalflies can be found in the vourukasha oasis, which is filled with khvarena. if dainsleif is infused with this irminsul "moonlight", could kaeya also possess this then?

if he does could this be why he has extensive knowledge of many things? why he could sense dainsleif and the abyss mage? why he was placed in mondstadt (moon city)?

back to your original question: is kaeya a seer? let's review the evidence presented to us:

characters call him omniscient or suspect he is

kaeya's name could mean seer

kaeya is VERY observant, to the point where it seems like he has 4D vision, but attempts to downplay it

kaeya is connected to several important figures who are prophets

that being said, i can't confidently say kaeya is a seer… but based on all of this, it would be pretty weird if he wasn't.

Pleasant tidings Salty, here to say your iceberg videos where one of the main things that actually got into jojo’s, incredible series, and now i’m caught up on everything i’d be interested to hear your opinion on (as a ultra based jojoer) the end of JoJolion. Personally i loved it, from the connections to part 7 and Gappy’s development through the part, but i know some people found it rushed or confusing, and i’m wondering what your thoughts were?

(ignore the fact i’m a dead weezer gimmick blog)

I’m EXTREMELY MIXED on Jojolion. There’s a lot I love, but also a lot I dislike.

WARNING: JOJO RAMBLE INCOMING

My opinion is very fresh, as I dropped off of modern Jojo back in college. It was only recently that I decided to finally catch back up, and do a weekly book club for Jojolion with a few friends.

My personal recommendation for reading it:

Do it weekly with other friends if possible. Have discussions with them about it. There is so much that I either didn’t pick up on while reading, or completely didn’t register at the time. And trying to extrapolate what Araki was trying to say with his story was very fun. It’s clear he tried to pack a LOT into every chapter. Which has it’s pros and cons. Binge reading doesn’t hit the same for me for Jojolion. I gained a far bigger appreciation reading in batches with other fans :)

The way I like to think about it, is that it had the ingredients, but I feel like the cake didn’t come out right. Although it tastes just as delicious as I would have wanted.

I just feel like Jojolion had a bit too many moving parts that even Araki couldn’t keep track of. There’s plenty of early Jojolion stuff that feels very tonally different with later Jojolion stuff. It’s clear that Araki had to course correct and change the plot several times throughout it’s run. And it’s because of Jojolion that I just feel like Jojo isn’t built for longer stories/publication. I think its length caused a lot of issues long term. It’s because of how long it took to make that there seems to be much more room for Araki to have second thoughts, or flat out change his mind on the story several times. (Josefumi having the Joestar birthmark and having it later removed in the volume releases, the characterization of Norisuke, etc)

Plenty of things go outright unexplained or elaborated on. I know it’s parroted a lot, but the “Flashback Man” from the first arc is the biggest example of this issue. If I had more time I’m sure I could type up a more definite list (how the Wall Eyes work is another example, as well as why the fuck Josuke and Kei Ninimura never really interacted past her stand fight, given that they are siblings and JOSUKE IS LITERALLY SEARCHING FOR FAMILY. HE LITERALLY SAYS THAT HE “HAS NO ONE” MULTIPLE TIMES LIKE, BRO, TALK TO YOUR SIBLING)

Now, I’m not saying that EVERYTHING needs explanation, but for 70% of the story, Jojolion posits itself as a MYSTERY. So to have so many pieces of that be unaddressed just feels… strange.

I also just feel like Jojolion has SO MANY AMAZING IDEAS, and has plenty of time to explore them and just… doesn’t.

Tooru is an incredible villain, probably one of my favorites in the entire series, but his presence in the story is soured because of how late he’s introduced into the plot. He’s amazing, but he feels like a very last minute inclusion, especially when Araki wants us to believe that he was totally a part of Yasuho’s life before and we’ve never even heard a rumbling of that before.

Anyway that’s enough complaining, let me hush about what I love about it real quick.

This is the case with everything he writes, but when Araki nails it with Jojolion he REALLY nails it. The Vitamin C arc is incredible, and ties Josuke’s story together so well and has some incredible lore drops. Not to mention that I think that Jojolion has some of his best written characters. Yasuho is one of the most deep and complex female characters in the entire series (didn’t stop Araki from writing that she gets sexually assaulted once or twice, but that’s just an issue I have with his writing overall)

He also goes really strange with the stands and designs, and I love it so much. When Araki gets weird, he really goes wild, it’s crazy fun. Blue Hawaii is such a fantastic arc, and really highlights his mastery of art and choreography in manga. Josuke’s combat is the best in the series imho.

And although the final arc stumbles in a few places, Wonder of U sticks the landing for me regardless, and in a way that didn’t feel cheap. Araki has come a long way from him writing that “Star Platinum can ALSO stop time”

At first, I thought that Josuke gaining the power of the spin last minute was cheap. However the more I reflected on it, the more it made sense. It isn’t outright confirmed, but I feel like Johnny’s spin was passed down to Josuke through his fusion in the wall eyes. Much like how Autumn Leaves absorbed some power from Johnny’s spin, I think that Josuke being in the wall eyes allowed him to absorb the power in the same way. I can’t tell if that was Araki’s intent, but if it was, dude is a genius. It makes complete sense, and in a roundabout way, directly connects Johnny and Josuke in a final battle.

Anyway yeah, I’ll stop the rambling here.

Believe me, I could go on for hours about Jojolion, and especially Jojo in general. I have so many things I can gush and complain about, it’s why I love it so much.

So yeah, I’m mixed on Jojolion, but overall I enjoy it a lot!!
