I'm sure someone has probably pointed this out but I was thinking about how Katniss hunts and Peeta bakes.
Katniss provides through taking a life. Tracking and shooting animals.
Peeta provides though creating. Kneading dough and decorating pastries.
Katniss doing a majority of killing in the games to keep them alive just as she would to feed her family.
Peeta weaving tales like pleteno srce for The Capitol to win them sponsors so they aren't killed in the environment.
There's a reason the two work so well together.

When you play the MC is just as into Cove as Cove is into them... That's the way I love playing the dynamic... I seriously cannot play it any other way, the way my character acts around Cove and the way he acts around them is so precious...
currently replaying the First Step and adoring just how precious these babies are *sobs*

Day 11 of 30: I haven't updated in a few days, but that doesn't mean I haven't still been on track! I have exceeded the 1666 daily word goal every single day this week, and today was no exception: today, I wrote 3559 words (wowie zowie) and my total word count for the month is now 23,873.
Y'all, that is NUTS. I'm almost halfway there. I've never in my life gotten this far during NaNoWriMo, and even if I don't make it to 50k words by the end of this, I'm still so insanely proud of myself you guys have no idea

Smile
The boss wasn’t known to smile.
If he did, it was only for business and even so, he would only grant a small one. Other than that, smiling was something not many people were witness to.
His crew took it as a challenge. They would tell jokes here and there and be met with a raised eyebrow or a neutral expression, sometimes deadpan if it were that corny. If they were lucky, they would get a tiny upturn of the lips, but it wasn’t common. Someone tried to tickle him once.
“Don’t even think about it,” Atlas muttered, just as they were behind him with their arms raised.
“…Sorry boss.”
People had considered it almost impossible to make him smile. Some say he’s a good businessman for it, better to show nothing to anyone for potential enemies could come from anywhere. Some suggested he wasn’t a cat at all but something else with what little emotion he grants people. One thing is for sure, Atlas’s smiles were reserved and rare.
So imagine their surprise after the new lead singer, a woman named Mitzi, who had taken an interest in their boss managed to have him hide a smile by bringing the glass to his lips when she winked at him.
If that surprised them, then their jaws were to the floor as they saw the two of them talking at the bar. When she whispered in his ear and whatever she said made him put his hand over his mouth and chuckle.

Eleventh Doctor Chronicles: Sins of the Flesh is really good. Really really good. Experience with certain attitudes can be so isolating, surrounded by people who won’t bother to understand the impact of growing up in that environment (because the world's so progressive now, right), and so — I'm so glad it exists. I also liked the discussion in the interview commentary about how being a monster and doing monstrous things are not mutually exclusive. Like most things, homophobia is pervasive because it is structural. Religious fervor is not inherently bad — “your god is love,” Valarie says to Lily — but as soon as hellfire is brandished around, it's used routinely to empower monstrous things, in a way that becomes unsafe to debate. Especially for young & dependent people who can't escape it.
Conditional love. Moral panics. Purity culture. Self-hate. Mob mentality. This audio. It's timely.
I appreciated what they said in the interviews about not only about the research, but the four rounds of sensitivity readings. I wish the TV show had that level of care sometimes…
