When it came down to it, responsibilities were not a thing that could be escaped from. That thought alone echoed in the busy mind, which was trying it's best to arrange words into sentences that would be worth letting out. Following the steady footsteps of Muramasa, it felt almost unnecessary to voice out any opinions being held back; they both must have recognized the positions they were in in this current situation. This was not a matter of the Gotei 13, nor the living, but the noble house of the Kuchikis and that was all there was to it. Then again, the details of this invasion's main goal were still slightly obscured, though it was obvious to Byakuya that this had to be something related to a man named Kuchiki Kōga, the unhinged man which their family would rather not speak about and which they made sure to keep as a shameful secret from most of Seireitei all these years. Would it be too brash to inquire about the prisoner from the estranged zanpakuto? Maybe. Yet the possibility to do so was quite intriguing to say the least.

"Muramasa. For whatever it is you aim to achieve, I will stand by and provide any needed assistance, as promised. Though it would most likely prove useful to be knowledgeable of any variables in play in case something unexpected happens."

The captain did not ask, but he expected the other to pick up on the clear suggestion to share some of the information being withheld.

His reiatsu had a PURITY that you would not find anywhere else. A soul that had not gone through cycles. Not tainted by a past life. Such was the nature of Kuchiki Byakuya. Muramasa's emotions were conflicted. He had spent many years in the good company of the Kuchiki Clan, and learnt to recognize their reiatsu as family. Of course, Kōga had not been a Kuchiki by blood. Still, this great clan had been his home. He had hoped to help Kōga bring honor to the family. But alas. The betrayal. when Kuchiki Ginrei turned Kōga away. Cast him off, like filthy, not worthy of the Kuchiki name.

So how about Kuchiki Byakuya? Did the young captain follow in his grandfather's footsteps? Or, did he understand that what Ginrei had done was WRONG? Did he want to make amends? Could he trust him? Muramasa had been alone for so, so, so long. He wanted - DESPERATELY - to be able to trust someone.

Byakuya PROMISED to stand by him and provide assistance. Could Muramasa trust his word? Ginrei had not kept his word. He hadn't treated Kōga like family. Hadn't stood by him. Was Byakuya the same? Muramasa didn't know.

❝ What I aim to achieve should be clear as day, should it not? ❞ He said, still walking ahead of the Shinigami, not turning to look at him. Not afraid he'd attack him. ❝ I am a Zanpakuto. I belong with my master. I must return to him. ❞ His voice dropped a little more quietly. Not because he was ashamed, but because it HURT. It hurt admitting out loud just how ALONE he was. Everything he'd said to the other Zanpakuto when he started the Rebellion had been a lie. He'd turned them against their masters, because that was his nature. But a Zanpakuto needed to be with its Shinigami master. An existence filled with separation was simply too painful.

BISEXUAL REP IN TOH

One thing I really appreciate about this show is the bisexual representation. It shows us how bisexuality can appear differently depending on the relationships.

The three canonically bi characters are Luz, Hunter, and Eda.

Luz is dating Amity, so her relationship is lesbian passing

Hunter is dating Willow, so his relationship is straight passing

Eda is dating Raine, who is enby, so the relationship could be considered either lesbian or straight passing or neither

Despite the fact that these relationships look so different, it doesn’t change the fact that Luz, Hunter, and Eda are bi. Bisexuality is not a one sized fits all, and as a bi person, I’ve never been so satisfied with this kind of bisexual representation before.

Steve discovered he didn’t want the cruelty and loneliness of his dream, and reflected on himself to change.

Alador stopped working to be with his kids he missed and neglected, and used his inventions to help people instead.

Darius stopped projecting his grief over his mentor onto his successor, and re-evaluated his assumptions in order to accept.

Raine found others they could fight with, after thinking they had to do things alone, just as someone they loved had.

I just can't get over how happy Eda looks here! Remember the early days of the series, her stress, running from the law, detesting school as a symbol of the authority that hunts her for just existing. Suffering under the throes of her curse.

And now look at her! She's a principal, running a school her way, the way it should be run! Encouraging students to be themselves and celebrate "every part of themselves"

She's got that big ass hook, she doesn't shy away from being an amputee, she embraces it! She celebrates her differences which she once was forced to run from. She's happy! She loves herself!

My dungeons and dragons bard's backstory involves her having had a meltdown on stage in front of an audience of aristocrats. See, she thought she heard people laughing and whispering in the crowd—turns out it was one of those ghosts she's been ignoring for years. The sheer embarrassment was enough for her to skip town for a while.

i can break my no fanart rule since it's the theme of the day and i got nothing else to share, here are some old sketches of Pernese dragons i did. Their names were Shonath and Noroth. I was always really interested in the blue dragons since they so rarely got any limelight in the books.

Summary: Aya is a high school student who is captivated by the mysterious "Onii-san" who works at a CD store. The real "Onii-san" is actually Mitsuki, a girl in her class with whom she had never spoken to before.

Review: This is a very cute read!!! The story doesn't drag out any drama. When I first started reading this, I was afraid it'd drag the secret of Mitsuki being the "Onii-san" but it doesn't. It's very well paced while also being a slow burn. They're both very well written.

Status: Ongoing

Summary: Bubbly, energetic first-year high school student Himari falls head over heels for her senpai Yori after hearing her band perform on the first day of school. Himari tells Yori she just loves her, and to Himari's surprise, Yori says she loves Himari back! But when Himari realizes that she and her senpai are feeling two different kinds of love, she begins to ask herself what "love" really means...

Summary: They're both so adorable!!! I love their relationship sm. There's a lot of other wlw relationships in this manga so that's a plus point. There's also some angst here and there. It also has an anime adaptation coming out next year!

Status: Ongoing

Summary: England, the early 1900s. Alice, a young noblewoman, has a Japanese maid named Hanako working in her household. The two have a fairly typical relationship…until the day Alice begs Hanako to kill her. As Hanako tries to figure out why her mistress would make such a terrible request, she and Alice grow closer until an entirely new feeling begins to blossom between them.

Review: The summary doesn't really do justice to the manga's plot but I don't want to say much because I'll mistakenly give out spoilers so I'll just say it's angsty so prepare yourself for that. Both of the characters and the relationship between them are very well written.

Status: Completed

Okay this isn't a manga, it's a manhua(chinese comic). I haven't read enough GL manhua to make a list about it so I'm putting it here. This manhua is called Tamen de Gushi. I think the English translation of the story name is called "Their Story"/ "SQ begin w/your name"

Summary: The funny romantic story of how Qiu Tong and Sun Jing met and fell in love.

Review: It was one of my first GLs so it has a very special place in my heart. I laughed a lot while reading this. It's mostly on the comedy side. Qiu Tong and Sun Jing's relationship is so so adorable. The side characters in this story are also lovable. The characters in this feel very relatable. Unfortunately due to censorship in China the author had been told to remove the confession scene of the main characters in the physical copies and the author rejected to do that. Because of this, the manhua doesn't have proper chapters anymore but the author still does post little snippets of their life together on weibo and twitter. However there's still 200+ chapters of wholesomeness so please do give it a read!
