Honestly I might turn this into a small series because this is the longest request I have ever written. Let me know if you want more parts 😁. Part two. Part three
Request From @loxleys-blog could i be added to the tag list for cole and a request of best friend of jackie who comes to visit her and moves there with her family and falls for cole and cole falls for her?
The car pulled to a stop outside the big Walter ranch household and I saw the front door fling open revealing my best friend from New York running straight for me. Getting out of the car I took my bag out and opened my arms for her. “Jackie Jack!”
“Y/n. I can’t believe you’re here!” She flung her arms around me and we stumbled when we finally embraced one another.
Jackie and I had become even closer than we were before after her family’s accident. The rest of her friends wouldn’t talk to her but I chose to keep our relationship the same. So I basically took the place of her sister Lucy. “Who’s your friend, New York?” I broke away from her seeing a young guy with green eyes and honey blonde hair.
“She’s my best friend from back home, Cole.” Jackie grumbled tugging on my arm trying to get me to leave with her.
Yet I wasn’t going to not introduce myself to him especially since he was really attractive. Walking over to the guy was sitting on a horse with light blonde hair like he had. “Hey there, I’m Y/n.” Leaning my arms on the wooden fence I sent him a grin.
He dismounted his horse and climbed over the fence shaking my hand with a cheeky grin. “Cole, Cole Walter. Have you ever been on a horse before?”
“Can’t say I have.” I replied to him.
His grin only grew. “Would you want to come riding with me?”
“No. No she wouldn’t actually. Because she’s coming to have ice cream with me and my friends. So we’re gonna be going now.” Jackie came rushing forward tugging on my arm and leading me back away from him. Whipping my head around watching Cole staring at us as we went to leave. I parted my lips, finding myself wanting to talk with him more. There was something intriguing about him I just couldn’t put my finger on.
A few hours later Jackie had me meet Skylar and Tara who she had met on her first day of school. We were sitting inside the ice cream shop where I took a big bite out of my strawberry cone hearing the store bell ring. My gaze shifted to the doorway recognizing Cole came through and he waved in my direction. “OMG. That is not a good idea at all.”
“What’s wrong, Tara?” I asked, finishing the bite I had in my mouth confused.
She sent me a raised brow. “You're getting involved with Cole Walter.”
“I’m not involved with him. I just met the guy today after I came in from the airport.” I told her to eat more of my cone.
Lifting my gaze upward Cole was ordering himself his own ice cream and the woman at the counter handed it over to him. Cole glanced my way and I felt my face turn red after I waved back to him without really thinking and Jackie hit my arm in warning. “Don’t go down that road, Y/n. Cole isn’t a good guy.”
“Why not?” I asked softly.
The three of them looked between one another and Skylar was the first to say something to my question. “He’s known to have a lot of hookups and not be up for a real relationship.”
“He sneaks them out of the house. I saw one the first morning I got to the Walter house. Alex can tell you more if that’s not enough of a warning for you.” Jackie explained putting a hand on my shoulder.
Shaking my head I still didn’t see why they were so afraid for me. I didn’t know anything about the guy but he seemed nice enough. “Okay don’t shoot me for asking this but what is the big deal of getting to know him. I’m not going to hook up with him.”
“That’s what most girls think and then he woos them with his charm…” Tara trailed off.
My best friend squeezed my shoulder and I met her concerned gaze. “I just don’t want you to get hurt because of him. You’re basically my chosen sister now.”
“He’s not gonna ever be interested in me Jackie and I’m not going to be interested in him.” I reassured her and we changed the conversation to something else for the rest of the time.
A few hours later after the crazy family dinner I was laying on my side of Jackie’s bed while she was doing some extra credit homework. Staring up at the ceiling I sighed clasping my hands together on my stomach. It definitely was different from the noisy city sirens and other things. Whereas here you could only hear the wind and all the other animal noises. I heard something slide underneath the closed bedroom door where I got up from the bed seeing it was a note. Folding it open the note read “Meet me on the porch if you want to see something cool - C”
Silently reading it to myself I contemplated on going or not eyeing my best friend while she worked silently. I didn’t suppose she would see if I was gone for a little bit. “Hey Jackie Jack, I’ve gotta go to the bathroom.”
“Okay. But use mine. Don’t use the one that everybody else does. Trust me.” She warned me turning back around in her desk chair.
Getting to my feet I snatched my boots out from underneath the bed and a green hoodie without her knowing. Then I headed down the stairs as quietly as I could possibly manage since it was almost midnight and most of the house was asleep. Reaching the front door I snuck through it, closing it gently then walked to the edge of the porch not seeing Cole anywhere. “Cole!” I called out still in a quiet voice.
“Over here, Y/n.” He responded by waving a flashlight from the barn door that he had opened. Rushing down the steps I ran towards the barn meeting up with him where he lowered the flashlight when we were standing in front of each other. “Was wondering if you were actually going to show up.”
Shrugging my shoulders I admitted slightly nervous of what he had planned in the middle of the night. “Gotta be honest I’ve never snuck out in the middle of the night like this. So what do you have in mind, Colorado?”
“I wanna show you something you don’t see in fancy New York.” He drew open a horse stall and walked out the horse he was on when we first met. “This is my horse.”
Taking a step forward I brushed a hand through its mane. “He’s beautiful.”
“Glad you like him cause we’re going to ride him to the spot I want to show you.” Cole responded by brushing his hand through his horse's mane touching my hand when he finished his sentence.
Tilting my head at the Walter boy I must have misheard him. “I’m sorry we’re doing what now?”
“We’re going to ride my horse together so I can show you a special spot.” Cole said again to me shutting the door with his foot holding out his freehand to help me step up on the box that was near where his horse was standing already saddled up. “Don’t worry city girl. I won’t make you ride alone until after I’ve shown you how to ride.”
Eyeing his hand extended to me I couldn’t help but hear Jackie and the others warming to not get involved with the Cole Effect. Yet I couldn’t deny I liked the thrill of butterflies he was giving me so I gave him my hand. “Just don’t let me fall off okay.” He nodded helping me throw one leg over and once I was settled he climbed on behind me.
“Hang on tight, Y/n.” He warned me, pressing his front closely to my back, making my face turn a shade of red as he kicked his horse in the gut and we raced from the barn to the open fields in the distance.
The wind blew through our hair and I hadn’t realized but I gripped Cole’s forearm since he was the one controlling the reins. Probably knowing I might scare the horse and then we’d be in trouble. He finally tugged the reins and slowly dismounted the horse helping me down. He had his horse lay down sitting down on the ground waiting for me. “Come on, sit down.” He patted the grass beside him.
“Okay.” I agree plopping down beside him looking around at the dark woods surrounding us. “So what did you want to show me?”
Cole moved his right hand forward tilting my chin upwards towards the sky. “This is what I wanted to show ya, Y/n.”
I gasped in awe seeing the sky dancing with a million stars above our heads. Blinking through some tears I couldn’t describe what it felt like to see something this bright. “This is incredibly beautiful…” The stars were so bright and even though we had some impressive light shows in New York none would compare to this.
“It’s not the only thing that’s beautiful. You surely can’t get that view in the city.” Cole mumbled, causing me to meet his green gaze.
I paused in my next words still confused as to why he was giving me his time and attention when he was labeled as the most popular boy in this town. “Cole, why did you ask me out here tonight? Not that I don’t appreciate it. I just…I don’t entirely understand why me?”
“I ain’t good with saying how I feel so sorry if this sounds stupid….I just instantly liked you for some reason.” He declares where I didn’t say a word with our gazes focusing in on one another.
Parting my lips I whispered out. “Liked me in what way, Cole?”
“In the way where we can…do this.” Cole whispered towards me before he made my breath catch in my throat seeing him leaning forward about to kiss me.
Half of my brain was telling me to not kiss him and remember the warning and the other half was saying he would be your first kiss and I couldn’t deny that I felt something for him even though all we had done was saying hello. I finally made up my mind and closed the gap the rest of the way kissing him. He responded by scooting closer to me and threading one hand through my hair trailing it down to the side of my cheek before I broke it needling air. “Cole….don’t find this dorky of me. But that…you were my first kiss.”
“I wouldn’t judge you for that. So what are you thinking now, Y/n.” He asked me to try to read my facial expressions but I was still in shock and bliss at the same time.
Hugging my knees to my chest I admitted sheepishly with my face turning red. “Jackie isn’t gonna be happy about this. She warned me to stay away from you….I knew better but I’m still choosing you.”
“Well I’m glad cause I’m picking you too, Y/n.” He draped an arm over my shoulder and I laid my head against his chest feeling my eyes getting heavy since I was getting sleepy. His gaze dropped to mine, tucking hair from my eyes. “Don’t worry about Jackie. You’ve got to live a little in life. Now let’s get you back before you fall asleep out here.”
We rode back to the house and I struggled to stay awake after getting off his horse so he decided to just carry me back bridal style upstairs. “Cole, this isn’t my room…she’ll be mad if I sleep in your room.” I trailed off in a sleepy tone laying my head still on his chest with him laying me down on one side of his bed.
He changed into some shorts to sleep in and crawled in the bed beside me feeling me scoot over to him laying my head back in the crook of his neck like it was minutes ago. “Sssh babe. I’ll take whatever Jackie feels tomorrow morning. Just get some rest.” My eyes fell closed and he dozed off shortly after in a peaceful night of sleep.
That was until the morning came and his bedroom door was flung open and I screamed hearing my best friend bursting into his room. “Y/n, I told you to stay away from him!…Well don’t you two have anything to say?” Rubbing my eyes Cole shifted, holding himself up on his elbow staring down at me silently, neither of us giving her an answer.

Fake it till you make it | Part 10
Eddie declined the invitation to stay for dinner that evening, politely of course, and genuinely solemn in his refusal. He would have actually liked to stay, the Harringtons weren’t… bad. They weren’t bad. As baffling as that notion was, they weren’t bad, but Eddie had dinner with Wayne every night. It was part of their routine, had been since his freshman year of Highschool and continued to be even now when they could see each other a lot more now that he wasn’t in Highschool anymore.
It'd always been the only time during the day where he’d be able to see Wayne before he went to work. A time where they could catch up, Wayne could ask him about school, now it was about the band, or if he’d had any luck finding an actual job, or if he’d heard any new gossip.
Wayne loved a bit of gossip. Quiet as he may have been, he soaked up gossip like a sponge because nobody ever expected him to be actually listening to the conversations they had around him.
What the Harringtons were actually like, he’d be on the edge of his seat waiting for that bit of juice. Metaphorically of course, Wayne was always the picture of calm indifference whenever he asked about the gossip, like it wasn’t deep down his life blood.
They had pretty solid excuses to not see each other for the rest of that week though.
Eddie had band practice, Steve had work, they’d ‘see each other’ in between where the parents couldn’t see and the only phone call that needed to happen between meet the parents day, and the day they left, was the night before to arrange the time when he ought to arrive back at the house with Uncle Wayne in tow.
It was… heaven, actually.
In Steve’s case anyway, that week, leading up to the week away? Bliss. Complete and utter bliss.
His parents were happy with him, they weren’t trying to introduce him to anyone, weren’t bothering him, sure they asked a couple of times if Eddie would be coming by, offering an open invite for dinner again, but they didn’t mind when Steve gave them the same excuse of he’s having dinner with Wayne!
The only issue he had was Robin and her teasing little “you made out with Eddie Munson” sing song she brought out at random while working together midway through the week, and no amount of “it was PRACTICE” would shut her up.
“I just can’t believe it!” She’d said while they were stocking shelves “you, Steve Harrington, Keg King, ruler of the jocks—”
“Ex, Robin, ex-king, pretty sure I haven’t been king of anything in years now” he’d shed that title. Let it fly free to land on a douchebag who wanted it more.
“Okay but still, lord of the jocks, with Eddie. King of the nerds.”
“And why is that so weird?” Why was she acting as if it were actually real? As if she hadn’t been there when Dustin had suggested the faux relationship.
“I didn’t think he’d be your type!”
“He’s not” the only real issue he had, was that maybe that wasn’t actually… completely, strictly... true, as he was rapidly beginning to realise.
And Robin knew it, if her scoffed little “ch’yeah OK, an I’m not a lesbian.” Was anything to go by. She let it go though.
She let it go because the chime above the door rang alerting them to customers, and their day continued on as normal.
Their week continued on as normal, with a brief appearance of the kids on the Thursday evening to try and sneak an R rated movie by him for a sleepover at the Wheeler’s but they didn’t get very far.
They took the Goonies despite Dustin’s very loud complaints about having seen it five times already and that he wasn’t going to do the truffle shuffle again, so don’t anyone ask him to do it, only to immediately lose all the wind in his very serious sails when Jane mentioned she’d yet to see him do it.
Friday was uneventful save for the phone call with Eddie the night before.
And then It was Saturday, and he was watching an old pick up pull up to a stop out front, watching Wayne Munson, in his well-worn jeans covered in dust, work boots, and flannel climb out of the truck. He may have been up all night working, but he was awake, alert, and he even grabbed Eddie’s bags out of the truck for him while Eddie sorted out his carryables.
A gym bag that’d never been used for gym full of… well, Steve didn’t know but it looked heavy, and a guitar case that looked fit for an acoustic rather than the beauty hung over the mirror in Eddie’s bedroom.
Steve rose to his feet and poked his head back through the front door to yell “The Munsons are here!” Before making his way down the drive to greet them halfway, taking Eddie’s suitcase from Wayne to put it by the door with the rest of their things with a friendly “morning, sir! How was your shift last night?”
“Exhaustin, an boy I told you over the phone, it’s just Wayne.”
“I know I just… have this, memory issue, bopped on the head a couple’a times, so you’re just gonna have to keep reminding me.” It earned a chuckle from the man and a gentle pat to his shoulder, and then Eddie was there, a bundle of energy dressed in a band tee with the sleeves chopped off and ripped black jeans, a buffalo check flannel wrapped and tied around his slim waist to complete ‘the look’. His hair wild and free as usual. “Eddie, you uh… you clean up nice…”
The smile was replaced with a look of surprise, Eddie doing a quick once over of himself as if he hadn’t actually— “I do? I didn’t—well I wasn’t trying to I mean—” tried to look good. He just naturally looked good. Of course, he just naturally looked good, the bastard.
“Guess it’s just a you thing then. Looking good I mean.” So smooth, but it worked. Eddie actually looked frozen in place, like a wire had just decided enough was enough and shorted out. It recovered quickly enough though, allowing Eddie to cutely hide behind his own hair, cheeks a pretty pink, dimpled by his bashful smile.
“Guess games on then huh, boys?” Wayne spoke through an amused chuckle, before turning his attention to the two adults who appeared in the doorway, both in… surprisingly relaxed attire.
When Wayne pictured the Harringtons, and he had once or twice when he’d overheard them being mentioned in town, he’d always kind of pictured two highly manicured people, pencil skirts, blazers, pressed slacks, polo shirts and pastel colours. Nothing old, nothing well worn, everything looking like it’d only just come off the rack and dry clean only.
Lynda however, in her red house socks, soft, dark brown, woollen skirt resting just below her knees, and baby-pink sweater tucked into her skirt, looked comfortable. And John was wearing something Wayne probably would have worn himself! Jeans and a simple dark blue button down shirt.
The only ‘manicured’ thing about them was that John was clean shaven, and Lynda’s honey brown hair looked freshly blown out. She wasn’t even wearing makeup, he felt like he’d stepped into some alternate reality where rich people were normal folk. “Mr Munson” John greeted as he stepped out of the house, hand extended which Wayne took to give a firm shake then released. “I see our boys are in a world of their own.” Wayne turned back to them as if to check and yep, they’d begun loading Eddie’s things into the Lincoln… slowly. Matching smiles on their faces as they talked about… god only knows what.
Damn scheme would make idiots out of the both of them. “Seems like.”
“Why don’t you come on inside and have a coffee, let the boys load everything up.” Well, he wasn’t going to turn down whatever fancy shit the Harringtons had in their cupboards, was he?
“Don’t mind if I do, might wake me up some.” And he was inside. The damn hallway looked bigger than his whole trailer for a moment. But no, it couldn’t be, it was just… long, and felt emptier without knick-knacks or pictures lining the walls. It was clean though, not even a hint of dust. “So… Steve lives here on his own while you two are away?”
“It wasn’t ideal” Lynda admitted softly “but Steven had to finish school so we couldn’t take him with us, and well, after that he was old enough to take care of himself. We keep in touch the best we can” calls were occasional, and they dropped in from time to time, but Steve was an adult now. It wasn’t like he was still a child.
He could probably move out if he wanted to. It wasn’t like he didn’t have access to the trust fund yet. It was his! He just hadn’t touched it yet, worked for his money, was clearly saving the fund for something more important.
“And the boys…” Wayne began once they reached the kitchen, a room full of mahogany and marble, John already there setting the coffee maker, everything pristine. Steve kept the whole place spotless, all on his own. Could be as supportive as they wanted, there was no excuse for leaving that boy all on his own for so damn long. “You don’t mind them bein… themselves around you? Now I've walked in on them up to all kinds'a nonsense, in a total world'a their own. They’re kinda touchy an they ain’t about to be like some bashful damsels actin shy with each other, they’re both men, an you supportin that means they’ll assume it’s okay to be who they are around you.”
Even though Wayne knew they weren’t actually a couple, he saw them, he saw their chemistry, he saw how Steve looked at his nephew, and he knew, he knew Eddie had had his fair share of mole related crisis’s over the years being in Steve’s vicinity in school.
There was no way they’d come out of this cleanly. Either of them. No drawn out fake date scheme ever ended cleanly.
“Boys will be boys.” Lynda chirped as if she wasnt even the slightest bit surprised, huh. “The chalet is quite large, Mr. Munson—”
“Wayne, please, ma’am.”
“Then, Lynda, if you please, Wayne” he gave her a curt nod “as I was saying, the chalet is large, there’s plenty of places for them to hide away, and I know Steven knows all of them. We used to play hide and seek when he was little, we almost had the police out searching for him once or twice, so I know he knows where to go if he wants a little privacy. We don’t expect them to be… chaste, our son is—” she paused, then looked to John with a slight scrunch in her nose.
“A slut.” Wayne was glad he wasn’t drinking anything yet because it’d have been all over the floor as he choked on his own saliva. John so nonchalant with how he said it. “We were all young once, Wayne and he’s no innocent child. Now I don’t know Eddie, but if I know my son…” and he liked to think he did, at least a little. “With what I saw the other day... i'm not surprised that they've already rounded a few bases.” A fair assessment. Their chemistry was off the charts. “How’d you take your coffee, Wayne?”
“And that ain’t an issue to you? Just black’s fine.” He was handed a mug filled with black coffee, clean, black porcelain, plain. Nothing fun about it. He still kind of wanted to take it home to add to the collection, the rare ‘expensive house, rich family’ mug.
“Not really no. As long as they're staying safe. The world is changing outside of Hawkins, and when you own a business you either change with it or get left behind.” A solid business stance, Wayne couldn’t argue with that but… if it was just for business then—
Lynda placed a hand on her husbands’ arm, offering a warm smile that reminded him a lot of Steve, that boy got a lot of his softness from his mother it seemed. “Eddie is delightful, a little quirky, looks a little different to the people we usually find in our home, but… if he can make our son look that happy just by being here, well… even if we wanted to stand in the way of it, which we don’t… I don’t believe we could. Steven is an adult now, and we can either support him in his decisions, or lose him.” Those were the options. Support him, or Steve would inevitably find his own way. “We may not be around as often as we’d like, we may have missed a lot of him growing up… but we would still rather support him than lose him. People like them… they deserve to be happy too, don’t you think?”
Wayne took a sip of his coffee, damn near groaned at the rich taste of quality grounds, both in love of the taste, and in mourning of what he'd only have once, but nodded his head in agreement. Approval. “Couldn’t have said it better myself. The peace an quiet at the trailer’s gonna be real strange.” He was giving his go ahead. “But… I suppose I can let him go on ahead with you.”
Eddie could go and he wouldn’t stop him. Although the chief would know where Eddie was, just in case he mysteriously disappeared, as terrifying as that thought was. As sobering and... mind changing, as that thought was.
No, Eddie would be fine. He'd be okay.
“Wonderful!” Lynda cheered, as if Eddie really was welcome among them. “So… has Eddie ever been on a plane before?”

How would Ozzy and Joan react to Bandit?
Joan straight up looks like a Halloween decoration for a good thirty minutes after seeing Bandit.
Her first interaction with him, after some godawful mewling, is to bat the shit out of him when he comes over to investigate her. Eddie waves his hand at her to get her to back off and she bats at him too, with claws.
She does not bat at Steve when he picks her up and coos at her comfortingly, “I know, baby. I know.”
She sits outside of Bandit’s cage after Eddie puts him back inside of it and just watches the ferret. Once he’s no longer a threat, she is curious of him and they spend the rest of the day darting back and forth from one side of the cage to the other and sniffing at each other.
The next day when Eddie tries introducing her to Bandit again, she is much more friendly. She doesn’t react with violence at least. He still keeps an eye on the two of them when they’re playing but they do seem to get on just fine.
Ozzy reacts to Bandit pretty much the same way that he reacted to Joan.
The loud shouty one brought a small creature into the house and now Steve’s heart rate is up. Once Steve is calmed down enough that Ozzy doesn’t need to worry about him having a panic attack or a seizure, he investigates the ferret himself.
Bandit is actually more wary of Ozzy than he is of him, so Ozzy lays down and makes himself less of a threat. Bandit comes over to him and sniffs at him then runs away a few times before he climbs on Ozzy’s back.
Ozzy doesn’t mind being used as a jungle gym when he naps, but he doesn’t like Bandit nibbing on his ears and has no problem throwing the ferret off him. He also laid directly on top of Bandit when he wouldn’t leave Ozzy alone while he was trying to eat, but Eddie made him get off of him.
The only time Ozzy reacts aggressively towards Bandit was when Steve was about to have a seizure and he wouldn’t leave him alone. Even then, Ozzy just barked at him until he ran away.
If Joan smacked Bandit on the head when he went to her, who’s to say it’s because of the seizure too.

Snape x reader - slowly falling for you
Tumblr media
Hii!! Could you write a fic with Severus Snape x female reader after the Hogwarts battle where Severus moves away to have a peaceful life and he meets reader since they live next to each other and they become friends and then fall in love and so on. Or something like that? 💛💛🦇 - Anon💜
You didn’t notice at first that someone had moved in next to you, but when you woke up one morning to tend to some of the animals on the grass behind your house you noticed a man standing in his garden.
He looked at you as you were halfway over the back fence and you gave him a small little wave.
He blinked and gave a small wave back and you beamed, gesturing for him to come over so he did, button up his jacket to battle to cool morning air.
“Hi, I don’t think we’ve met yet. I’m (Y/N).”
You held out your hand and he looked at it with a small scowl on his face.
“Not a touch person, that’s cool. What’s your name?”
“Severus.” He bluntly replied.
“Well, nice to meet you Severus! It’s a cool name, never heard it before. I just wanted to introduce myself, I’ve gotta get to work but I’ll see you around.”
You jumped over the fence and he watched as a horse came over to you, pushing its head into your back and you laughed, pushing it back as you ran across the field to what he assumed was a stable.
He didn’t see you for the rest of the day until evening time when you came climbing back over your fence.
For the next few weeks it went like that, you could climb over the fence every morning and evening. You’d hold a small, pretty much one sided conversation with him since he didn’t talk much.
This morning was no different, you were climbing over the fence, a horse waiting patiently for you while you ran your fingers through her mane.
“Don’t you have a gate?”
You turned to Severus and smiled, giving a little shrug.
“Sure, it’s round the front, but it’s more fun to climb the fence. Plus it gives me a chance to check everyone and round them up for breakfast.”
“Everyone?” He asked.
You nodded your head.
“Oh yeah, you got the horses. This one’s Roxy, then you’ve got thunder, Apollo and Athena. The stable cat, Loki. The dogs, Buddy and Rocky.”
Severus knelt down, tending to one of his flower bushes, and you smiled softly at him.
“A lot of animals.”
“These are just the ones I own, the stable does have more but I have a separate field for mine.”
He nodded his head and looked up at you, watching as you climbed into Gea’s back, giving her a gentle pat on your neck.
“You know, if you ever get bored you can always come down.”
“No thank you.”
You shrugged.
“Your loss, later!”
Severus stood up, watching as you gentle rode away, a small heard of horses following you and Gea to the other side of the field.
When he decided to retire, decided to give up teaching and the magic world so he could live in peace this wasn’t exactly what he was imagining.
He thought he’d be living away from everyone, but apparently not.
He was living next to a hyperactive woman slightly younger than him who owned a bunch of animals and refused to use a gate like a normal human.
Rolling his eyes, he went back to carefully tending for his plants.
With summer coming around, he wanted to test out what exactly his new garden was able to grow since he wasn’t able to use magic here, strictly forbidden.
As the day rolled by, sometimes he would catch glimpses of you working, others you would just be sat on the back of a horse while it lazily walked around not seeming too bothered.
Evening rolled around and you usually came home around the same time every day, 8pm.
But as the clock ticked away he frowned, it was now nearly 9pm and you still hadn’t come home.
You seemed to follow to same routine, something he easily pick up on but decided maybe it was just a one off, so he decided to ignore it.
As the early morning came around you still were nowhere to be seen, you weren’t jumping the fence like you did at this time.
He stood there, taking a sip of his tea when he noticed a man in your garden, pulling out a few tools from the shed.
“What do you think you’re doing?”
The man stopped and turned to Severus, raising his hands.
“Just cutting the hedges and grass like (Y/N) asked.”
“I’ve never seen you before, get out of her garden immediately.”
The man laughed, grabbing his phone he walked over and pulled up his messages, showing him the text thread between you and him.
“I’m Joey, the stable hand. There was an incident at the stable so (Y/N) won’t be home for a few days and can’t work for a few weeks.”
“Incident?”
“Yeah nothing serious, she’ll be right as rain.”
Joey went back to what he was doing and Severus cursed himself for not getting one of those little phones you seemed so fond off.
“I will tend to her garden.”
Severus slipped through the gate that separated your two gardens and Joey looked up at him.
“It’s no issue man, I’ve done it before.” He smiled.
“(Y/N) feeds the animals at this time, they’re waiting.”
Joey looked to the fields where the horses were waiting at the gate and he laughed a little as he shrugged his shoulders and set everything down.
“Sure thing man, let him just ask her.”
Joey quickly phoned you and after a conversation he hung up and nodded his head.
“Yeah that’s cool, thanks man.”
With that Joey ran away and hopped the fence.
“Why can’t these people use gates?” Severus asked himself.
He worked on your garden, doing everything that needed to be done, and every day he would wait by his back door, watching the horses come to the fence.
After a couple of days, he noticed you limping into the back garden, going to hop the fence.
“You’re not supposed to be working.”
“Holy crap!”
You turned around, hand over your heart as you smiled at him and limped over, leaning on the fence separating the two gardens.
“Hey Severus, thanks for looking after my garden.”
“You’re welcome. You should be resting.”
You laughed.
“It’s fine, just a few bruises is all.”
“Looks more than a few bruises, I doubt your doctor would approve of you jumping fences and working.”
You grinned a little bit.
“I’ve had worse.”
You pushed yourself away, wincing a little as you walked back over towards the fence.
Severus quickly entered into your garden, blocking your path to the fence with his arms crossed over his chest.
“Absolutely not. If you want to go you can walk around.”
“But that’s so long!” You whined.
“I will not let you jump this fence in your condition.” He said sternly.
You huffed a little and nodded your head as you walked over towards the gate.
You were limping heavily, and as much as he didn’t want to go to the stable he didn’t feel right leaving you to walk alone, so he followed you.
He closed the gate behind him, and walked in line with you down the small country road.
“You don’t have to come you know.”
“And if you fall and get stuck in a ditch who’s going to find you?”
You went to reply but quickly closed your mouth again.
You smiled a little bit, glancing up at him as you carried on walking.
You didn’t speak much, you both just walked in silence and when you reached the front of the stables you turned around to face him.
“Want a tour?”
“No I have things to do. Goodbye.”
With that, you turned around and watched Severus leave and smiled to yourself as you rolled your eyes.
He was a strange one, but you were happy with that, it’s what him entertaining in your opinion.
You couldn’t work too hard, and you had to leave early so Joey dropped you off, and you noticed something on your doorstep.
It was a note saying that Severus had left you something and you picked up the jar.
“What is it?” Joey asked.
“The note says it’s a small natural pain relief cream.”
“Reckon it works?”
You shrugged a little and unlocked your jar.
“No idea, I’ll give it a shot though. Thanks for lift see you tomorrow.”
Joey grinned and he left while you went inside to start cooking for dinner and you looked at the cream on the table.
Your whole body was aching and the meds you had weren’t doing anything, so you decided to give it a shot.
After eating, you grabbed the jar and read the instructions he had given you.
“Apply before going to sleep, just rub the cream on the bruises?”
You hummed and shrugged.
You did that, and while the coolness of the cream felt nice and helped ease some of the irritation your skin was feeling, you didn’t feel any different.
Because of all the bruises you had, you used up nearly the whole thing.
You decided to get an early night, and when you woke up you felt a little better, and you made breakfast without an issue and made your way to the back garden.
Looking to your neighbour, you didn’t see him and quickly made your way for the fence.
“No.”
You froze in your spot.
“Gate.”
“Come on Severus! That cream you gave me worked thanks, what is it?”
“Homemade recipe.”
You nodded your head and went to climb the fence.
“Will you use the gate? It’s right there!”
You blinked at him.
“No it’s not.”
“Turn around.”
You did and you saw the brand new gate and you beamed brightly.
“You built a gate?”
“No, I just a hole in your fence. Joey built the gate I’ve never built one.”
You laughed a little and walked over, gesturing for him to come through your garden so he did and when he came over you leant up and kissed his cheek, giving him a hug.
He awkwardly stood there not sure what to do.
“Thanks Sev, you’re the best.”
With that, you quickly walked away and left.
And you used the gate for the next few days. Even when you were begged you still used the gate and Severus was just glad you were jumping fences anymore.
You came limping through that same fence that evening and you were relying heavily on fence between the gardens to walk.
Severus saw this from his kitchen window and frowned, walking out his back door.
“(Y/N)?”
You didn’t even seem to hear him, you drew a deep breath and tried to step, but your legs dropped from under you and you hardly caught yourself.
“(Y/N)!”
Severus quickly rushed over, putting your arm around his shoulder.
“What’s going on? I thought you got better?”
You slowly shook your head.
“No… some bruises haven’t healed.. I may.. may have over done it..”
You groaned in pain as you tried to push yourself up and Severus sighed.
He swept you up in his arms and carried you through to his house and you looked around.
He had a lot of books, the whole house was like a library and smelled like different herbs and spices.
He set you on his sofa, and he walked around, disappearing he came back with a few things.
First he handed you a cup and told you to drink it.
“It smells disgusting.”
“Just drink it, okay?”
You nodded and drank the drink, scrunching up your face in disgust.
You set the cup on the table with a heavy groan, and he set a bowl down, resting his arms on his legs.
“What did you do?”
“What do you mean?”
“What was the incident that caused this?”
You sighed and explained to him what happened.
Some stupid parent wasn’t controlling their kid, and the kid spooked one of the horses causing you to be thrown off and you landed on the concrete floor.
He nodded his head.
“I thought you were using that pain relief I gave you?”
“Honestly it was gone in less than a day, I had a lot of bruises.” You laughed weakly.
“Shouldn’t they have healed by now?”
“I mean, most have?”
“That was that all about outside?”
You sighed and turned around, lifting the back of your shirt to show him a huge ugly bruise across your back.
“This I think. It wasn’t much of an issue, but Uhm.. I may have fallen at work? Which may have made it worse?”
“Just sit still.”
Severus took the bowl and started to gently put the cream on your skin, messaging it in.
“Ow.. ouch okay that hurts can’t I just go lay down?”
“It’ll help just stop being so stubborn and stay still.”
Once he was done, he pulled your shirt down and let you turn around and handed you some water.
“You’re staying here, someone needs to keep an eye on you.”
“I can look after myself Severus.” You huffed.
“Apparently not. So you’re staying, give me your keys I’ll get you some clothes.”
You fought him for a few minutes but eventually you gave in and handed him your keys, letting him go get you some clothes and you laid down.
You like the atmosphere in his home, it was peaceful and different to other peoples houses, unique.
While you were waiting for him to come back, you hugged a pillow to your chest as stared up at the ceiling.
Severus had some issue finding your clothes, he didn’t want to go through your draws, so he grabbed a pair of shorts he found on your bed, and a jumper from your wardrobe and your phone charger.
He made sure to lock everything up and returned to his home.
“I didn’t want to go through your stuff, so I’ve got you shorts and a jumper. I also got your charger.”
He waited for a reply but didn’t get one so he walked into the living room.
You were fast asleep and all he could do was roll his eyes and set the stuff on the table.
He grabbed a blanket and covered you up, stopped to look at how peaceful you looked like and brushed some hair from your face a small smile on his lips.
He didn’t want to wake you up, so he left you there for the evening, but eventually he picked you up and carried you to his room, tucking you into his bed.
“Severus…?” You mumbled out.
He hummed, turning around.
You gave him a lazy smile and gestured for him to come over.
He did and crouched down, and you kissed his forehead.
“Thanks for everything…”
You yawned and rolled over and he couldn’t help but smile a little more and stand up.
He left you to sleep there and he settled for sleeping on the sofa feeling an emotion he hadn’t felt in a while.

Psssttt @impishtubist a gift for you based off of this

Sirius walks into the kitchen to find Harry sitting in front of the oven with rapt attention.
“What are you doing kiddo?”
Harry looks up at him with watery eyes and sniffles as he wipes snot from his nose. “They needed to be warm.”
Sirius frowns and walks closer to discover that the oven is indeed on. He is a little bit terrified that Harry somehow knows how to use the oven at the age of five but he files that away for a parental breakdown at a later time.
“Who’s cold sweetheart?”
Harry’s eyes go back to the oven and Sirius steps close to tug the oven door open and proceeds to curse, trip over his own feet, and land squarely on his ass in response to what he sees.
He takes a deep breath to level the fear out of his voice. “Harry, darling, can you please tell me why there is a pile of baby snakes on a cookie sheet in the oven?”
“They were cold.”
“So you put them in the oven.”
“The oven makes things hot.”
“The oven cooks things darling.”
Harry shook his head. “They told me they’d let me know if it got too hot. I put it on reallllly low.”
He looks between his godson and the now ajar door of the oven. “Hazza, can you understand the snakes?”
Harry chews on his lower lip. “Don’t be mad. Auntie Petunia didn’t like snakes.”
Sirius also does not like snakes but he sure as hell isn’t going to make his godson cry over it. “Not mad. I just want to understand. Can you hear them?”
Harry nods nervously.
Okay. Add parseltongue to the list of parenting hurdles to tackle.
“Harry that’s very sweet of you to bring them in to keep them warm, but we need to put them back outside. I’m sure their parents are looking for them.”
Harry’s lower lip trembles and his eyes start to water. “They can’t. They’re like me.”
“What do you - oh.”
“Someone took their mom in as a pet but then got mad when she had eggs and threw them out. Their mommy got hurted.”
Sirius takes a deep breath processing that he can’t tell his godson that he has to put the orphaned snakes back outside without making him afraid that Sirius and Remus will one day leave him outside too.
“Do you know what kind of home they’d like?”
Harry beams. “Sand. They like when it’s warm so they can sleep like me with my blankies.”
“Okay. Let’s find somewhere safe to put them while we go to the pet store.”
“You mean I can keep them?”
“Of course kiddo.”
Harry promptly tackles his godfather in a hug. They walk down the street to the pet store and Sirius can see Bathlida smirking at him before they even get up to the counter.
“Brought in another stray?”
“This one was all Harry.”
“They’re snakes!” Harry proclaims excitedly.
Bathilda laughs as she rings things through. “Live mice come in on Tuesdays.”
“Live mice? Ah, right.”
“Might want to pick up a book on snakes while you’re out.”
“It’s okay,” Harry tells her struggling to pick up the big bag of sand. “I can talk to them so I’ll know if they’re sad.”
Bathilda raises one eyebrow at Sirius who shrugs in a way he hopes says ‘kids, huh?’
When Remus gets home later that evening Harry immediately grabs him by the hand and drags him to his room to introduce him to all his new snake friends. Slinky, Worm, George, Edwin, Slither, Slime, and Bartholomew the Third. He doesn’t ask where the other two Bartholomews went.
Bedtime is a struggle as Harry is too excited about his new friends to go to bed. It takes the promise of ice cream for breakfast to finally get him to sleep.
“So,” Remus says as he steps around the pile of dogs slumbering on the floor to crawl into bed, “snakes huh? How bad did you scream?”
“Only once at the initial shock but Remus we’re going to have to feed them live mice and watch their jaws do that thing.” He shuddered.
Remus chuckled. “Don’t worry love I’ll protect you for the big scawy snakes.”
“I hate you.”
Sirius climbs in on the other side and pretends to put up a fight as Remus cuddles into his side.
“You’re a big softie you know.”
“I know, but I haven’t seen him that happy in so long. How could I say no?”
“Mhm,” Remus mumbled. “I think the ten dogs, three cats, six bunnies, and two kneazles proved your inability to say no a long time ago. Not to mention the Niffler and hippogryph in our backyard.”
“Buckbeak and Swiper are bonded. I couldn’t possibly separate them.”
Their conversation was interrupted by the creak of the door as a small child entered their room.
“Everything okay Harry?”
“I opened the cage to give the snakes a kiss goodnight and now I can’t find Slither.”
Sirius was sitting bolt upright on the bed in a moment, turning the lamp on, and throwing the covers off the bed.
Harry’s little face scrunched up in confusion. “What’s wrong with Padfoot?”
“Nothing,” Remus says, putting his slippers on. “He just loves you too much. Come on, I’ll help you find your snake.”
“Slither.”
“I’ll help you find Slither.”

queen mary scaries — colby brock
Tumblr media
SUMMARY — you and colby go back to the queen mary ship
WARNINGS — scary stuff, gn!reader, fluff
REQUESTED BY — @outerbanks-world
———
THEY WERE GOING BACK, and you weren’t the only one to warn them. katrina, sam’s girlfriend, also warned him against it. did either sam or colby listen? no.
“i just don’t understand why they would go back to the time in their ghost-hunting career that traumatized them the most,” you vented to kat as you both waited for the boys to finish packing.
“sam says this is their last time going,” kat agreed, concern written on her face.
“do you believe him?”
“nope,”
———
you were soon on your way to another terrifying experience. you’ve watched their videos, and you’ll never forget the sheer terror on colby’s face whenever he went back a second or third time. he has nightmares for weeks, and you knew because he often woke you up to come and sleep with him. it wasn’t a bother at all, you were just worried for him.
that anxiety carried over. you were anxious for the trip, of course, but also for colby. you told yourself you needed to get out of your own head and just breathe. things were gonna be fine, right?
the car stopped and you looked out of the windshield from the backseat. you saw the looming ship in front of you, and for a moment you were too engrossed in the beauty of it to remember it’s haunted. hopefully you keep reminding yourself of that throughout the night.
you all — kat, sam, colby and you — climbed out of the car to be met with the chilling air of the evening.
“perfect weather,” you joked to your boyfriend. colby chuckled, wrapping his arms around you from the side. he knew you were anxious, if you hadn’t told him he definitely felt that you were.
“chilly for a chilling night,” sam rubbed his hands together with a grin, making the rest of you laugh. the duo did their intro, introducing the other two of their group. it was officially the beginning of a very long night.
———
it was the height of the investigation and you were behind colby. sam held the camera, which was pointed in a particular corner of the room. you could hear colby’s breathing hitch, his anxiety spiking through the roof.
“what was that?” sam asked quietly, looking over at colby, who merely shook his head. there was silence, but then another knock in that corner of the room. it all came flooding back for colby, almost as if it was ptsd.
colby backed out of the room, leaving it just as quickly as all that happened. you turned on the lights, since it was y’all’s bright idea to have them off.
“i’ll go check on him,” you nodded to sam, running out of the room. sam followed you, which you expected of his best friend.
“colby!” you called for him to stop, but he wasn’t stopping.
“colby, stop please!” you called again, picking your pace up to a jog. he was still a ways ahead of you, given he had much longer legs than you did. you finally caught up to him and stopped in front of him, at that point it was just the two of you. his face was red with fear and his breath was uneven. he ran a hand through his hair, avoiding your eyes.
“colbs…look at me,” you hummed softly. he replied by doing as you asked, his eyes welled up with tears.
“it’s just like it was before,” he whispered softly.
“i know,”
“i was reluctant to come back, i shouldn’t have,”
“you wanted to resolve this once and for all. leave it behind you, and that’s ok. i’m proud of you for facing your fears,” you brought up a hand to rest on his cheek, feeling the warmth of his tears. his hand rested on yours, taking in the comfort you radiated.
“you didn’t want to come,” he spoke gently. you should have known he’d pick up on that.
“do i ever want to go to a haunted place and purposely crap myself? no,” she joked, making the brunette boy in front of her chuckle. “but i will always join you on your adventures no matter what. who knows, maybe it’s growing on me,” your words comforted your boyfriend, who’s hands were still shaking from the horror within that room.
“thank you, y/n,” he hummed softly, his eyes locking with your own. you were his rock in these situations, hence why you came along most of the time, especially to the places that were rumored to be the scariest.
“anytime,” you smiled, grabbing ahold of his hands. he gave your hands a light squeeze before wrapping his arms around you. you both just stood there for a moment, mentally preparing yourselves for the horrors that lurked in the walls of B340.
colby pulled away and took a deep breath.
“let’s get this over with,” he hummed.
“i’ll be right beside you,” you told him, “and so will sam,” you reminded him, to which he smiled at you. you both returned to the room and continued your investigation.
———
this took me absolutely forever and i sincerely apologize. i’m not as into the fandom anymore :/ but every now and then i’ll try to post something! i wont leave y’all hanging. thank you for the request and i deeply apologize for the wait time! remember to be safe and be kind lovelies!!

HIIHIHHIHIHIHIHI I LOVE UR AU SO MUCH SNMBNHEBH
anyways is it alright to know what Yanqing's relationship is with like Fu Xuan, Tingyun, Sushang or the trailblazer? thank you!
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
Of course! This is a super interesting ask so thank you for sending it. I really enjoyed answering this since it had me thinking about Yanqing's relationships with those outside of his family.
Fu Xuan
Yanqing has known Fu Xuan his entire life. She had been the Master Diviner before he was born and a close friend of Jing Yuan. Of course, she is always pressuring him to retire, saying that he would be much more suited and happier staying at home and taking care of Yanqing. When Jing Yuan brought Yanqing back from the battlefield, she was tasked with figuring out his origin. She thought adopting a baby would be good for the three, but she personally did not like babies. She's a very much a "they are cute from afar" kind of person.
As he grows older, their relationship could be compared to an older cat now having to deal with an annoying kitten that won't stop climbing everywhere. Fu Xuan would sometimes be asked to watch Yanqing at the last minute if there was truly no one available, so it would be her trying to do her work as Yanqing runs around the commission trying to touch everything. When he joins the Cloud Knights, he is still very polite in his interactions with her but also displays the same impatience he had as a child- slowly ignoring her lectures and sometimes even zoning out in the middle of them.
Yanqing, surprisingly, doesn't take offense to her attempt to get his father to retire. Fu Xuan had pressured him for so long that Yanqing has just gotten used to it. He knows Fu Xuan will succeed as General anyways so he's just chalked it up to her personality.
But at the end of the day, they still care and respect each other.
Tingyun
Same with Fu Xuan, Yanqing has known Tingyun for a long time. Tingyun was taken into Yukong's care after she showed little aptitude for the military despite her parent's hopes. At the same time, Qingni attended school with Yanqing, with Qingni being 2 grades above him. On days where she would pick Qingni up from school, she would also pick up Yanqing and take the both of them out to eat.
"All the people you are around are old and their tastes are very much set in stone. You should take the time to try new thing!" Was her justification for taking them out to try new cuisine.
As Yanqing got older and his interest in swords grew, Tingyun would be the one getting him into private auctions or discovering new merchants that might interest him. Yanqing, who has very few friends, considers Tingyun one of his closest. She's always introducing him to new things that are outside of his work as a Cloud Knight.
Sushang
Yanqing meets Sushang when she is transferred to the Luofu. At the time, he had been a lieutenant for 3 months but due to his young age and inexperience, was not given full control of his own platoon. However, he was tasked with training the new recruits where he met Sushang. The two hit it off and became really good friends. They train together and after lesson, are often seen hanging out in the night market.
Yanqing also finds himself able to confide his worries to Sushang. Her mother had trained her from a young age and put a lot of pressure on her to succeed. For Yanqing, he is held down just the legacy of his family and his desire to repay them for everything they've done for him. While they do not expect it from him, Yanqing believe that the only way to repay them back for their efforts in raising and training him is for him to succeed on the battlefield.
Trailblazer
The Trailblazer (Stelle and Caelus) are twins and still continue their life on the Astral Express. Yanqing knows them as Dan Feng's friends. 200 years before his parents had gotten married, the High Cloud Quintet went their separate way as their dreams and goals had changed. Yingxing had left to explore and find way to improve his forging. Baiheng and Jingliu had left for explore as well. Dan Feng, curious about the power of the Ambrosial Arbor and tired of the Preceptors oversight, placed Bailu in charge and left in search of a solution to move his people forward. Only Jing Yuan was left on the Luofu due to his position as General.
During his 100 year journey, he joined the Astral Express and traversed the universe in hoped of understanding the power that made him and his friends immortal. This is where he met the twins, who were taken in by Himeko as a favor for Kafka. Even though he later returned home, he still kept in touch with them and they would visit the Luofu occasionally.
Yanqing loves hanging around them. They're fun and are always willing to engage with him whether it be sparring or traversing through the city. In turn, they see themselves as the fun aunt and uncle. However, in the eyes of Dan Feng, they are the worst babysitters and will never be asked to babysit again.
After being tasked with babysitting for a day, they had taught Yanqing that is it absolutely fine to love trashcans and for a child who was reaching the age where everything ended up in their mouth. This was a nightmare as Yanqing spent the next 2 months trying to eat things off the ground and from the trash.
I hope you like it! If you want me to expand on things or just want to ask me other questions, feel free to message me or send an ask!
Thank you!!!

girl dad benji has me in my FEELS! do you think you could write about the first time little girl goes to a game and benji is just so proud that she’s there and brings her all around the locker room showing her off to everyone? 💕💕
you’re making me fall even more in love with benji —
it’s been three month since you gave birth to the beautiful girl in your arms. the new role has been difficult in the beginning since benji still had to leave a lot because the games and training sessions didn’t wait for noelle to grow up. but this time, this one saturday, you decided to watch the game against freiburg and show the princess the allianz arena for the first time.
a pair of noise-reducing headphones covered her small ears, dressed in one of the first crimson-red bayern jerseys, benji brought home after a game. seated close to the pitch, you had the best view of your husband throughout the ninety-two minutes, and he even scored a goal. by the time the referee blew the whistle to end the second half with a win for the number one of the chart, benjamin grabbed a water bottle and jogged over to the stands.
behind you, the supporters almost went crazy. screaming his last name, reaching out with their phones and trying to get the match-worn jersey. and he would have been happy about the attention, he would have cared for it if his eyes would not have landed on the sweet, sleeping princess in your arms. the world around him seemed to vanish, it didn’t matter where he was or who shouted his name.
benji’s arms quickly found their way around noelle, picking her up from your lap and holding her tightly to his chest. the fans and cameras went crazy at the sight, taking millions of photos while the defender tried to hide the face of the little one. “i will take her to the team, are you coming with me?”
you nodded your head frequently, relieved to leave the mass of fans that gathered in the front of the stands to receive an autograph from benjamin. and he didn’t want to seem mean, or act like an arrogant fool but as soon as his fingers only touched noelle’s little body, he was pulled into another world. climbing over the stands with the help of a security guard, benjamin led you towards the catacombs, where most of the team already changed clothes and celebrated their important win to increase the points.
before even reaching the locker rooms, the loud laughs of müller and sommer already echoed through the busy corridors. photographers waited at the end, their cameras tightly in their hands and trying to take a couple of very interesting pictures for their websites, and the social media accounts of the club.
you quickly followed the hurried steps of your boyfriend, noelle pressed tightly to his chest and ignoring the incoming questions from the interviewers about the new-born baby in his muscular arms. when benji reached the locker room, kimmich’s eyes focused immediately on him and as the captain, he instructed the team to lower their voices and not interrupt noelle’s tight sleep.
“well boys,” benjamin stepped into the silenced changing rooms, followed closely by you. wrapped up in a rose blanket, and dressed in her sweet woolen cardigan over the bayern jersey, noelle smacked in his arms, moving slightly to cuddle herself further into the warm material and benji’s arms. “i’d like to introduce you to noelle, my beautiful princess. she’s just three months so no touching.”
you stayed in the door, the shoulder leaned against the frame and watching in awe, how benjamin carried the little girl through the attentive gazes of his teammates. after telling him that he could not fulfill his dreams of a little boy following into his footsteps, his mood changed for a couple of days. his expectations were completely overthrown when he saw noelle for the first time. since the first day, benjamin and noelle were inseparable. she slept more in his arms and cuddled up with her father than in her own crib. it was beautiful, a sweet sight and your phone was flooded with pictures of them.
“look at that cute little girl.” sane cooed, smiling widely as the team gathered around noelle and benjamin. most of the mates already had their own children, and always teased benjamin for not going a serious step forward with his marriage. and yet, a new baby in the locker room always seemed like a huge surprise.
“she’s way too beautiful to be benji’s!” müller chuckled, carefully patting benjamin’s shoulder with the dry palm of his hand. “she has your curls.” leon interrupted the joking ways of müller, and ruffled a large hand through the chestnut curls on benjamin’s head.
the praise from the boys, the little resemblances spoken by the teammates made him extremely proud. benjamin’s soft gaze drifted from the smiling mates around him to the little girl in his arms, watching how her small hands moved and tried to grab her woolen cardigan.
benjamin held the whole world in his hands before. being part of a popular and successful club for over two years, and having a certain position in the starting eleven of each game. playing football, doing what he loves so much and earning money for it.
but benjamin’s world changed, turned upside down when the babygirl was born. noelle pavard became all the good things in his life, and added another tad of happiness. and you were allowed to watch his loving gaze, how his brown, soft orbs traveled over the sleeping girl in his arms.
his long pointer finger reached out, carefully stroking over the soft skin of noelle’s strawberry-red blushed cheek. “you know, i made this beautiful, little girl.” benji muttered, his heart swelling with extreme pride.
“sure, but you had a little help.” joshua commented, patting the defenders shoulder and nodding towards the door. benjamin’s gaze followed his gesture, his lips curling into a wide smile at the sight of you. arms crossed, leaned against the doorframe and watching the loving interactions. but it was obvious, that you couldn’t wish for a better dad for little noelle than benjamin.

TW : mention of infertility
Zdinarsk was walking down the hall with her pack going to meet up with the other recoms when someone called out. “Excuse me? Can I get your help?” Her head swiveled around until she backtracked and poked her head into an office, seeing you, another blue human/Na’vi hybrid waving your fingers at her. She warily stepped in and saw a few packs set on the desk and then nearly tripped over a small wooden child’s toy.
You grimaced and said, “Sorry, they tend to get left everywhere. Thanks for stopping. I assume you’re part of the recom team?” A nod from Zdinarsk. You stuck out your hand to shake hers. “Y/N. I’ll be accompanying you today.”
She grasped your hand quickly and said, “Zdinarsk. These packs coming with us?”
You nodded. “Gotta have my supplies in case something happens.”
She cocked her head, ears twitching toward rustling under your desk.
You leaned down, arms reaching under and coming back up. Her eyes widened, seeing a small Na’vi body in your arms. The child wiggled against you, babbling and patting your face. He turned to Zdinarsk, intrigued by a new face and handed her his small toy car.
“Uh. Are they coming too?” she asked.
“He is my son. He goes where I go.” You clutched him close, soothing and picked up a wrap off the desk, twisting it and tying it around your body to hold him close.
She nodded and picked up the heaviest of packs, slinging it over her back. “So.. what’s your job?”
“Trauma surgeon when I was a human. That’s the reason they brought me around again. Figured my skills could be helpful especially if there’s any plan to go up against the Na’vi in the future. Just patch up the humans and send them back out again to mess things up again. He’s a bonus of the new body.”
Zdinarsk tilted her head, a bit confused but nodded, following you out of the room.
~~~
After meeting up with the group and introducing yourself, you hovered near Zdinarsk and climbed carefully into the helicopter. You packed the bags away and moved into your seat, putting a pair of headphones over your son’s ears. His face scrunched up, unhappy with the unfamiliar sensation and you cooed gently to him, tapping his nose with your finger. He gave you a bright toothy smile which you returned. You glanced up, feeling eyes on you and Zdinarsk met your gaze offering a kind smile.
~~~
When the helicopter landed, you climbed off, thanking the other recoms who had helped unload your packs. You slung yours over your shoulder, another on your back and Zdinarsk took the third. It definitely felt like overkill but if something happened, you’d be glad to have it.
You readjusted your son on your chest as he squirmed around. Zdinarsk waited for you to follow the group, her hands on her weapon pointed down. You fell into step beside her and she kept glancing your way, her presence impossible to ignore. “Is there something you want to say to me?”
She winced, embarrassed, and said, “Sorry. I’m not trying to make you uncomfortable. I was just wondering how he got here?” She gestured to your son.
You grinned at her. “So I don’t know that you are aware of this, but I was the first recom. I had valuable skills and they wanted to see if it would work. Figured they’d give a test run on someone useful to them so if it succeeded then I could work closely with the recoms that came after. Then, they asked be if I’d be open to artificial insemination. I went for it. My human body wasn’t capable of conceiving and I was interested in having children at some point so I figured why the hell not? They did an egg retrieval pretty much the same way as you would back on Earth, combined it with male Na’vi DNA they used back then to make the avatars, put back it into me and boom. About a year later, this guy comes into the world. They wanted to see if these bodies would be capable of successful pregnancies and so.. here we are.”
Zdinarsk’s eyes widened as you finished your story. “Damn.”
“Pretty much!” You burst out laughing and she smiled at the way the sunlight came through the trees, highlighting the stripes on your face.
~~~
“So.. how do you feel in this body? I know as a soldier it’s been helpful to have more strength but I know it might be different for you.”
You glanced at your fingers, balling them into fists. “I feel a bit useless sometimes. There’s not much of a need for me at the moment, but I almost wish it would stay that way. I know I’m supposed to care more about humans.. but for about 2 years, I’ve been alone. A few people woke up earlier from cryo and my body had developed enough for it to be pulled and have my memories put in. So I was the only big blue around here. Until you guys.”
“Shit. You got pregnant pretty soon after you woke up, then?”
“Yeah, those days feel so hazy. I know I made the right choice for me and I can’t imagine not having him here.” You squeezed your son closer. “But I wish I could have had someone there with me. Who really understood how lost I felt at the time.”
She nodded, walking with you in companionable silence. Shouts broke the silence ahead and the two of you sped up a bit, coming into an area tangled with roots. Ja was sitting on the ground, his knuckles clenched, groaning. Wainfleet relayed that he had stepped into a sinking mossy area, fallen and twisted his ankle, breaking the skin on a sharp rock as he fell.
“My time to shine, I guess.” You put your pack down, pulling your suture kit and bandages out of it. Everyone else dropped their packs, taking a minute to be without the weight. You untied your wrap, laying it across your packs and held your son out to Zdinarsk. A panicked look crossed her face. “Please, will you hold him? Just while I suture and wrap Ja’s leg. You’ll be fine. I believe in you.”
Haltingly, with slightly trembling fingers, she reached for your son and pulled him to her chest, which he promptly snuggled into. You smiled and squeezed her shoulder. “I won’t be too long.”
Zdinarsk looked down at the small child in her arms, careful of his queue and bounced with him awkwardly. She hummed quietly, lost in thought. She’d always been fun aunt material, nowhere near ready to be a parent. Holy- her nieces and nephews had to be grown by now. She’d missed so much of their lives. Tears streamed down her face and she turned away from the group, wiping them.
She held your son closer to her chest, murmuring gently to him. After a little while she sat down to rest against a tree, propping him against her bent legs. He stared at her, wide-eyed and curious. His little hands gripped her thumbs and he squeezed so tight.
“Quite the grip, little guy.”
“Yeah, his mouth hurts like hell, too.”
She startled, not having heard you come up beside her. You wiped a few beads of sweat from your forehead and crouched beside them. Looking up at her, you noticed her eyes were swollen. “Hey, you okay? I’m sorry if I put too much pressure on you to hold him.”
“No, I promise it’s not that. I was just thinking about my family. How they probably don’t even know I’m alive and if they did… what would they even think?”
You nodded in understanding. “We are not who we were. This is our home now. Our world to protect. Our People.” You smiled down at your son, before your face hardened, looking back to hers. “It is only a matter of time before we are disposable to the humans. I will not allow that to be the world my son grows up in. He will never be a weapon wielded by another’s hand.”
Zdinarsk shuddered, chilled by your words.
~~~
You sat with Ja for most of the afternoon while everyone else mapped the area and learned more of the terrain. He was very sullen about getting hurt so early on. Thankfully, Na’vi bodies had a slightly faster rate of healing. Warren hovered nearby as protection if needed. Eventually, your son fell back asleep and you rocked him until it was time to go back.
~~~
Zdinarsk helped you with your bags on the way to your office, putting them on the countertop near your desk. You gathered up your shower bag and a foldable bassinet for your son to nap in.
“What are you doing?” You paused, turning at her voice, ears flattening.
“What do you mean? I’m going to shower.”
“And you take your kid with you?”
You frowned, tail flicking in irritation. “There isn’t exactly a Na’vi child daycare around here.”
“Well.. yeah you’re right but I mean, I could watch him.. if you’re okay with that?”
Your ears perked up. “Really??”
She nodded. “I know we don’t know each other well, but I’ve got some experience with my nieces and nephews and babies like me a little bit I think.”
You walked to her and squeezed her biceps, and a blush creeped up your ears as you felt the muscles under her skin. You shook your head to refocus and met her gaze. “I am seriously so thankful. I haven’t had much help and- anyway, I’m grateful. Come on.” You turned and walked to the door at the back of your office, opening it to a Na’vi size studio apartment.
You hurriedly cleaned your couch off. “Sorry. Obviously wasn’t expecting a guest.”
Zdinarsk waved you off, looking around the room, not expecting such a homey feel. She walked to a screen that rotated through photos. One came up with you right after birth, smiling at your son. Her chest buzzed with warmth and she turned back to you.
“Here’s the remote. Watch whatever you want if you want. Toilet is over there if you need it. Just press the red panel on the wall to open the door. I love this space for us but it’s pretty inconvenient they couldn’t fit a shower in it too. I’ve got him in this crib, if you’ll just sit with him, he sleeps pretty well and I’ll be back in a bit. Thank you so much.”
~~~
It had been an everything shower. You were scrubbed, renewed and felt like you were floating down the hallway. You opened the door to your apartment quietly and smiled softly when you saw the scene inside. Zdinarsk's hand was resting against the bars of the crib. Your son's fingers were stretched to touch hers and his other hand was balled into a small fist. Zdinarsk was asleep, head lolling back on the couch, mouth open.
You covered her up with a blanket and sat beside her to read on your tablet, turning the light down so it wouldn't bother her. She leaned in closer to you, head rolling onto your shoulder. You started to shift and she mumbled grumpily in her sleep, curling into your side. You huffed softly and settled beside her, pulling the blanket over you as well. As you sat, hearing your baby's quiet coos and felt Zdinarsk's warm breath on your neck, you wondered what a family could look like in this strange world that had become your home.

This blurb is for PrincessPhilly's lyric challenge in honor of her birthday. I selected lyrics from Heaven Sent by Keshia Cole for Brandon Tanev.
It is a reader insert and just under 1500 words.
@princessphilly @pattiemac1 @penstxgal1968
Bellevue, Washington
You listened as Brandon walked in the door of your shared high rise condo. The brief serenity while your loves- both human and furry- took their unending energy and activity for a walk ended abruptly. You smiled as his baritone voice boomed through the condo and he animatedly spoke to the excited pups. He talked to them as if they understood his words.
On the surface, the two of you made no sense as a couple. You, the quiet and reserved one, and he, the loud and bodacious one, seemed like polar opposites. However, you had one common characteristic that made it work- passion. You both had a passion for your work and an even greater passion for each other.
The relationship took both of you by surprise. When you joined your Seattle Reign teammates for a ceremonial puck drop at the Seattle Kraken hockey game, you were nursing a broken heart from your first and only serious relationship. You were the very definition of “not looking for love”. However, when you were introduced to Brandon Tanev and he pulled you into a hug with a loud proclamation of “YN! I am a big fan”, you felt the electricity almost at once. You stumbled back and smiled nervously. Then he flashed his bright smile and you were hooked. When he asked for your number before you left, you gave it without hesitation.
Eighteen months later, you stood in the bathroom listening to him speak to the dogs- Jett and Messi. His one request when you moved into the condo over the summer was to get a dog. Yes, that was the plan to adopt one dog. However, as you walked through the rescue adoption event, he went straight to the pair of adorable Yorkie terriers who chased each other through an enclosed play yard.
“What do you think, Y/N?” he looked back at you as you observed.
“You want a small dog?” you asked incredulously, “You have been searching for labs for weeks.”
“I don’t know. I think a smaller dog would be better in the condo,” he bent down to pick up the bigger of the pair. He held him up to his face. “Cute, eh?” he asked. You knew instantly that he was hooked and there would be no talking him out of the tiny dog.
“Baby,” you smiled as you bent down to pick up the smaller of the pair, “He has a little buddy. Someone needs to adopt them as a pair.” You had hoped that would serve as some sort of deterrent to the selection. It had the opposite effect.
“Someone being us, Y/N” he smiled. You opened your mouth to object when he started to plead his case. “Think about it. They already know each other and they will have a built-in playmate. They won’t be so lonely when we are at practice. I’ll have one for each side of me when I watch your road games and you watch mine.” He took both of them into his hands. He started speaking to them. “Yes, do you want to come live with us? We’ll teach you all about hockey and soccer,” he spoke animatedly before putting them down to start chasing them through the play yard. You groaned. He looked up and flashed you a smile. “Come on, YN- you know you can’t resist this cuteness.”
You smiled. He, of course, referred to the dogs but it was infectious energy that you could not resist. “Fine,” you said as you climbed into the play yard and picked up one of the pair, “But only if I get to name them.”
“No way,” he laughed, “You name one. I’ll name the other one.” He picked up the other dog and examined it closely. “What’s your name, buddy?” he asked if the dog would answer. “Jett?” he grinned as he bestowed the name of his first NHL team on to the Yorkie.
You looked at Jett's partner in crime, “Well okay, Messi- let’s go home.”
You were lost in the memory when you heard him bounding up the stairs. His footsteps were loud as he lept the stairs two at a time. The pitter patter of tiny paws tried their best to keep up with him. “Come on boys. Let’s go see YN,” he called as he reached the top of the steps, raced into the bedroom and slid on his sock-covered feet into the bathroom. You looked up at him in the mirror reflection. He held out a cup from your favorite coffee shop- the one he took you on your first unofficial date. “I thought you could use the extra caffeine tonight,” he smiled as he handed it to you.
You smiled and accepted the drink from him. “He knew,” you thought to yourself. He knew that the gala would require all of the social energy you had in you. Being in large crowds, entertaining and charming people came naturally to Brandon. To you, it was an effort. One that would need to be fueled by caffeine and his boisterous love. He walked up behind you, wrapped his arms around your waist and rested his chin on your shoulder. You shared a look in the mirror. The words were unspoken, but you heard them all the same, “I got you,” he spoke with his eyes, tender with emotion.
Then the moment abruptly ended when he swatted your bottom playfully, “Don’t worry. I got myself a triple espresso so I will be bouncing off the walls soon.”
“Brandon!” you laughed, “You do not need caffeine. Please tell me that you are joking. The world does not need a caffeinated Turbo.”
He looked back and smiled, “Oh, but I think it does.”
You went your separate ways. He went into the large, walk-in closet to get dressed in his suit. You stayed in the bathroom to put on your final touches of your hair and make-up. After you dressed in your dress with a slit cut high enough to emphasize your toned leg, you wandered down the stairs. The caffeine from Brandon’s drink had kicked in and he raced around the room in an elaborate game of chase with the dogs. He looked like a cross between a twirling tornado and Tasmanian devil. The game was getting out of control and he came dangerously close to knocking over your favorite floor vase as he sped by the fireplace. “Brandon,” you yelled as his hand knocked the vase over, “Why do you have to run around like a Tasmanian Devil? You are going to break something!” He used his lightning-fast reflexes to catch the vase before it hit the floor.
He swung around the couch and caught sight of you from the corner of his eyes. He stopped suddenly and stood with his mouth agape.
You looked down at your dress nervously, “No good?”
“Oh, it’s good,” he finally choked out, “It’s…..ummmm….. Yeah….. It’s uhhhhh” He searched for the words but could not find them. “You look like an angel,” he whispered when the words finally bubbled up in his brain, “You look like an angel sent from heaven.”
You blushed as he walked over to you. He looked at you in wonder, “just like the song.” He pulled you into a tight embrace as he instructed Alexa to play your song. https://open.spotify.com/track/2E90KUsor4U2abOJGFKtfx?si=1773701ad44c4836
He spun you around as the music filled the room.
I wanna be the one who you believe
In your heart is sent from (sent from heaven)
“You are, YN, you are,” he whispered as he gazed into your eyes, “I may be a Tasmanian Devil, but you are my angel sent from heaven. I love you so much.”
“Brandon….” you spoke softly, “I am no angel.”
“Yes, you are,” he kissed you softly before whispering against your lips, “You are my angel and I am so lucky to have you.”
“We’re lucky to have each other,” you whispered back. Suddenly he lifted you over his shoulder and carried you toward the door.
“BRANDON!” you squealed, “What are you doing you devil you!”
“I see you are embracing my identity, my angel,” he laughed as he grabbed your purse, “The sooner we get to this gala, the sooner we can come home. I can get that dress off of you and show you just how devilish I can be.”
“Is that a promise?” you laughed.
“It’s a damn guarantee,” he swatted your bottom and carried you out the door.

WORLD TOUR- .13
Tumblr media
Once we got to the other side of the airport to the pick-up area, I whip out my phone to text my cousin. I sort of feel a person come up to my left, standing quite close to me. I don’t look up from my phone as I just guessed that it was Bill or Johanna. “Mm, she should…” I look up from my phone, to sight out where she should be. “There she is!” I turn to look at who I again thought was Johanna or Bill but instead, it was Tom who smiled sweetly at me.
“C’mon, I found her.” I tell the rest of the group, choosing to ignore the boy next to me.
Not out of malicious intent but I’m just excited to see my cousin. “[Name]!!” She screams, “Alyssia!!” I shout in response, giving all my things to Tom and then running to her.
“I missed you so much!” She mutters in my ear as we hug tightly. It’s not often I get to see this part of my family so when I do it’s extremely amazing. “I missed you too! Let me introduce you and Willow.” I pull away from the hug, looking over I spot Willow, my cousin's best friend who we call her lover.
“Hey, Will!” I wave to her, she takes her hands out of her sweater pockets, waving back and then bumping my fist once we’re closer.
“Alright everyone, this is my cousin Alyssia and her best friend Willow.” I motion to them. “Obviously you guys already know Jo. This is Bill, Georg, Gustav… and Tom.” I point them out one by one. Alyssia and Willow shake their hands as I say their names.
“Okay, your grandparents are itching to see you right now so we better get going.” Alyssia claps her hands, she pops open her trunk and we throw our stuff in the back. “My car is a little small for everyone to fit so sit on some laps.” She tells us, we all glance at each other knowing exactly how this is about to go down. I sit down regularly, then Gustav sits next to me and Georg on the other side.
Jo climbs in and sits on Gustav’s lap obviously. Bill sits on Georg’s lap, leaving Tom to sit on mine. We were all laughing nonstop at the arrangement. Even Spring Roll made some noises as she was in the front with Willow.
“Maybe you should’ve used your mom's van,” I say as Alyssia starts driving. “I wasn’t near her house before I got here.” She shrugs. I just sigh, leaning back as she starts blasting her music.
“You should be sitting on my lap right now.” Tom leans all the way back to whisper in my ear, I make eye contact with him as I smirk. “Too bad Kaulitz.” I wink, looking away to watch the outside.
Once we get to my grandparent's place we all get out with grunts, Tom getting off my lap felt like his bones were digging into my legs. It was very painful.
We went up to the door, the others looked like they were waiting for us to knock but instead, we just went right in through the door. Going in, I plopped Spring Roll on the ground and she ran in. “Surprise!!!” A group of people shouted, it ended up being a lot of my family members who actually lived in different states too.
“Oh my gosh!” I grinned, taking like five minutes to hug everyone in the room. It was a spacious room so it’s okay. “Alright, alright!” I laughed, we then went around the room and the boys ended up following me or Johanna around the whole time. Mainly the twins kept by my side. Georg ended up making friends with Willow and Alyssia so he hung around them and the other stoners of my family. Gustav obviously was with Johanna who talked to my family too.
“Oh, so this is the boyfriend?” My Aunt comes over to talk to Bill and I. Bill's hair is down and he’s wearing a beanie with no makeup. Also some baggy clothes so he kind of looks like Tom. Not really but to other people he could’ve. I laughed and went to say no but Tom stepped in. “Actually that’s me.” He shakes her hand and my eyes go wide. Bill turns to me with a smirk but I just try to ignore it.
“Oh, two handsome identical twins. You sure got your hands full, my dear [Name].” My face goes warm and I just want to hide in someone's arms and die.
“Auntie, please.” I shake my head.
“It’s quite alright, she knows what she’s dealing with, with me.” Tom pulls me into his arms, kissing my head as I try my best to contain a smile on my face. My Auntie walks away and I push Tom off of me, glaring at him. “What the fuck was that, Tom?” I asked him then just shook my head and walked away from the twins.
It’s not that I didn’t like being called his girlfriend it’s the fact that it’s my family. I haven’t told them anything and plus he and I are not official. He does not have the right to do that.
Not yet.
I'll have to talk to him and Bill later.
So this actuallyy might be a few more chapters than 15 because I'm thinking about it and the stuff I want to do before the end won't fit in two more chapters. So get ready I guess.
Edited)I fucked up bruh I put part of chapter 12 in this my bad if you guys fucking saw that 😭😭😭 chapter 14 will be longer I promise I just genuinely fucked up😭😭😭

Do you ever think about the parts of you you picked up from others?
I've thinking about it recently
When I stand from sitting on the ground it's the same way my jiu jitsu instructor taught me.
I love Rummikub. I picked it up from my Grandmother, who taught me how to play. She Would buy me just about any book I wanted when I visited her. My mom and I have a lot of the same vocal ticks as her. She's probably outliving my dad.
There are childhood friends I haven't seen in over a decade that I still think about a lot. Watching Scooby doo movies (The loch-Ness Monster one was our favorite), How to Train your dragon, playing with GeoTracks. I still think about those drive past that pond and Up that hill. One of them had a convertible Bug, and the other had a zipline. I miss them.
I first started watching anime, true anime, when I flew across the country for about a month over one summer. That cousin's transitioned. He visited a while ago and we went to the Coast. It was nice.
My lifelong Friend's mom is in to geology. We went to collect Rocks by a river and I found petrified wood. I still have it. We would play Poptropica and Minecraft. We'd stay up late talking about dinosaurs.
I'd watch Thomas the Tank engine and Play Skylanders and Lego video games with another. He introduced me to youtube, and we'd watch it on my Wii. The first video I watched was Stampy's Cookieland Hunger games. We'd also play Mario Kart. I'd usually play Rosalina on a Bike, Bowser in the Offroader, Or Luigi in the Classic Dragster. We made a Mii named Well Done, because he canonically had a bad tan.
My Mom used to work for Yellowbook, way back when I was five or six. One of her friends gave her a couple Volkswagen Pull-and-Release toys. I still have the first one she gave, thin, yellow, and with ladybugs on it. It's in rough shape, missing it's Bumpers and hood, it has a cracked windscreen and it's spring is so worn it can't propel itself anymore. I never learned her name.
I still love it.
A babysitter used to live beside us. She was Ginger. She's climb the fence to watch us. We used to have a lawn chair out there to climb over with. She brought over a bouncy house a couple times. She had a small white dog named Newton. He was feisty.
All my family would drive eight hours in one sitting to see my nearest family. We'd bring movies to watch on the integrated DVD player and monitor. Our favorite thing to watch was the Simpson's movie.
My dad Played his heart out on the Drums. I was sensitive to the noise So I didn't fully appreciate it, but I can't help but imagine the motions of a drum being played when I listen to music.
He made the best burgers I ever had. I learned to make Red sauce from him. I never liked his green bean casserole, but I certainly hope someone has the recipe. Everyone else loves it.
My Truck is a dark blue F-350 with a crew cab and 8 foot bed, with raised suspension and larger tires. The rumbling of the engine reminds me of Childhood. Smells like it too.
My Brother's car is a 90-something Mustang Cobra. It doesn't run, but he loves the thing. Not a snowball's chance in hell he's selling it.
I rode his bike most of my life. He never really used it, but he did attach one of those trailer things to it and rode my older sister and I around for a little bit. I don't remember it too well due to age, but I had fun.
His favorite flavor is Chocolate. He's a Cardinal's fan. He loves Led Zepplin and the Grateful Dead. He owned a Harley. He met my uncle in the Navy, then My uncle introduced him to my mom.
That love they shared has clearly faded, and fallen with time. They just became different people.
One time he spilt Coffee on Tom Cruise.
I get that for most of my life he's suffered from Depression and Anxiety, but he still made a lot of mistakes raising me and my siblings. Some part neglect and some part Authoritarian control, but there were also kind parts. When He'd come home from weeks working Cell sites, and we'd hang off of him, literally. When We'd pretend to be asleep and have him carry us to bed. When We'd nap on the couch with him. When He'd tuck us in, or let us have another bowl of ice cream without my mom knowing.
He's not gone yet, but he's so fucking close. I hate it. The anticipation, the suspense. That's the worst part. Why can't it be back in the Minimal-Effect stage or Just be over already. Why does he have to be at the lowest point for so goddamn long/

Neytiri x reader - learning about you
Tumblr media
Could I please request an avatar imagine where the reader is part of the avatar programme, jakes sibling, and deaf, and when Neytiri saves them both, she is protective of the reader who has an interest in na’vi culture and the two share a sibling like bond? - Anon 💜
A/N: na’vi will be in italics and sign language will be in bold
You were mesmerised by everything on Pandora, you were captivated it by all. Never had you seen such beauty before in your life.
Following behind your older brother, you hand your hand on the back of his wheelchair as he led you down the hallways while you looked around, taking everything in.
You were taken to a lab, and Jake stopped making you stop and look down at him.
Can you find her?
Looking around, you nodded your head and pointed across the room, going over to look at your avatar.
She was stunning, deep blue skin, little white dots that could almost resemble fireworks, beautiful black hair and a thin long tail.
While you were admiring your own avatar, you weren’t aware of someone trying to talk to you, but Jake heard it and turned away from Grace who was explaining basic things to him.
“Uhm Norm? She can’t hear you.”
Norm stopped and stepped away from you, turning to your brother.
“Seriously?”
“Deaf since birth, hold on.”
Jake pulled a small ball from his pocket and threw it at you, hitting you in the back of the head making you frown as turned around.
You stuck your middle finger up at him, grabbing the ball you walked over and handed it back.
What the hell was that for?
Jake stuffed the ball in his pocket.
I’m going to introduce everyone.
And he did, he told you everyone’s names in sign, and you rolled your eyes at the names he had given them before pulled a whiteboard and pen from your bag.
You scribbled something on it and flipped it around.
‘Sorry, can you write down your names? Jackass here thought it would be funny to give you sign names instead.’
“Seriously?” Grace sighed to him.
She took the board from you writing down her name, Norm and Max did the same and you nodded, making a mental note of it before rubbing them out.
You looked back at the group and Grace motioned for the board so you handed it over to her, letting her write something down before handing it back.
‘Did you do the training programme?’
You nodded to her before rubbing out the sentence and wrote something else to show her.
‘I did, yes. Also I can lip read, I’ll just use this to reply.’
You looked at her for confirmation and when she had read it she nodded and you set it aside so you could watch her talk.
“They’ll be ready for you to trail run them tomorrow. For now try teach that moron some of what you know otherwise he’s going to be totally useless to us.”
You nodded and turned to Jake.
You’re useless.
He scoffed, flipping you off and you smirked down at him.
The rest of the day went without a hitch, you attended a meeting which you didn’t pay attention too, you tried teaching Jake some stuff he needed to know and he wasn’t paying attention.
When the next day came, you found yourself excited to join with your avatar, to become na’vi.
Waiting by your pod, you leant over it to look at Jake getting into his.
Do you think I’ll be able to hear?
Guess we’ll find out, if you can hear I can walk.
You grinned a little, both of you were beyond excited and you quickly climbed into your pod, watching Grace’s lips carefully as she spoke about what you needed to you.
You knew all of this, but getting told again was never a bad thing.
The pod closed and you closed your eyes, taking a deep breath as you waited for the link to connect.
You weren’t sure if it took a long time or if it was quick, but soon enough you were opening your eyes with people staring down at you, but the whole room was quiet and you frowned a little.
Your ears flickered as you tried to pick up on the sound but you couldn’t, and you turned your head to the side to look at your brother who was sitting up to look at you.
“(Y/N)…?” He asked softly.
You shot up in surprise, ears flickering again, tail swishing an you heard some doctors cry out for you to stop and calm down.
“(Y/N)?” Jake grinned a little.
You smiled wildly, banging your hands against the table in excitement, you could hear him.
“You can hear! You can hear me!” He laughed.
Jake stood up on uneasy legs and you did the same, crushing him into a hug which he happily returned and despite the doctors wanting you both to lay down they couldn’t help but smile.
You pulled away and sat down like they wanted you too, but Jake had other plans, he ran away and Norm chased after him while you waited for the doctors to finish doing their checks.
One of them walked over handing you a tablet.
“Since you’ve been deaf since birth we aren’t sure if you can learn to talk, but in your avatar body you can head. We had our doubt about it to be honest. We’ve got you this so you can communicate.”
You smiled and nodded thanks, flicking your eyes to the door and she stood aside, letting you leave.
You were amazed by how it looked outside, all the sights but especially the sounds.
You focused on everything, trying to focus on one thing at a time but you couldn’t, and it began to get overwhelming, so to try and fix it you covered your ears but it did nothing.
“I had a feeling this would happen, here.”
Grace appeared and handed you something, gesturing for you to put it in your ears so you did, and it dimmed all the noise to just background noise.
“It’ll take a while for you to get used to hearing, but you can still sign, or talk through that whatever works best.”
You nodded your head and watched as Jake came running back over and you let out a silent laugh.
“This is amazing! Isn’t it amazing?!” Jake gushed.
You smiled at him and nodded your head.
I can’t believe you can hear stuff like this all the time!
He rolled his eyes at you.
“You can walk, I think it’s only fair.”
Rolling your eyes to him, you lightly punched his shoulder and he smiled a little, gesturing for you to follow him so you did.
You guys walked around for a bit and he talked nonstop, he was excited to be able to finally talk to you, for you to actually be able to hear his voice for the first time in your lives.
The next day came and you found yourself sitting in a helicopter, high above the ground, marvelling at all the sights.
Grace had made you special noise cancelling earplugs for when you were around heavy machinery, so when Jake wanted to talk to you he tapped your shoulder.
Are you going to be part of their research team too?
You shook your head.
No. I’m just here to observe everyone is following rules and guidelines.
He nodded his head and when you guys landed, you waited to be told you could take your earplugs out, and when you did you were smiling brightly.
“You really love the sounds Huh?” Norm smiled.
You nodded your head excitedly and while you watched then for a moment taking samples, hearing movement behind you, you turned your head to look.
“Come on.” Jake whispered.
Nodding, you followed along behind him, letting him lead the way.
You weren’t expecting to be confronted by a large creature, and you weren’t expecting Jake to scared it away, but when you heard the growl behind you you slowly turned and froze in place.
You didn’t even get chance to process what it was before you were being screamed at to go.
“Run!”
Jake took your hand and you were both running as far away as you could from the creature, and after what felt like years you managed to get away.
Looking around, you frowned a little when you couldn’t find your little group anymore and you turned to Jake.
Where are we?
He shook his head.
“I.. I don’t know, come on, we’ll be fine.” He smiled.
Jake took your arm and you both started to move, trying to find somewhere safe for the night as it was quickly growing dark and you knew they wouldn’t be able to find out after the sun sets.
While you searched your bag for the tablet, Jake used some stuff to make a torch in order for you both to see.
“Do you have it?”
You looked up at him and shook your head, gesturing to the bag which just held some research stuff.
I must have left it.
“Crap, okay, just stay behind me.”
You nodded and walked behind him, back against his as you both turned around, surrounded by viperwolfs.
“Get down!” Jake yelled.
You didn’t need to be told twice, you crouched and he used the flames to try and discourage the animals from getting any closer.
Hands covering your ears, you tried to block out all the sounds, the snarls, the yips and barks and jakes yelling.
Burying your face in your knees, you tried to tune it all out.
You had no idea what was going on, but your head was hurting, everything was so loud, so tiring and painful you wanted it all to stop.
When the animals started to cry out, you curled in on yourself even more, their cries piercing your ears, drilling straight into your brain and you needed it all to just stop.
You felt Jake behind you, his hands covering yours to help block out all of the sounds that were invading your ears.
Jake turned to the Na’vi who shot them, killed them to save you both and he sighed a little, giving her a small smile as he stood up and walked over.
She picked up the torch and Jake panicked.
“Hey wait! Don’t!”
She had already thrown it and he sighed, following her as she spoke in a different language to one of the creatures laying in the ground, stick clutched tightly in his hands.
He looked around amazed, and he looked over to you before making his way over.
“(Y/N), here.”
He crouched down, pulling the ear plugs from your bag, putting them in your ears.
Finally you looked up at him and he pulled you up, leading you over as you looked around at the glowing forest.
“Look I know you probably don’t understand this, but uh… thank you.”
He looked at her, crouching down, and you turned to watch what she was doing.
“Thank you.” Jake repeated.
You looked at him.
“That was pretty impressive.”
The woman looked at you both.
“We would’ve been screwed if you hadn’t come alone.” He laughed a little.
You placed a hand on his shoulder, gesturing to follow her. She was your best chance of survival.
“Hey wait a second. Hey where you going?” He asked.
You both followed followed her, and while Jake kept talking you looked at all the sights, but when she spun around and hit Jake with her bow you panicked.
“Damn!”
Looking down at Jake you carefully watched the woman.
She placed her bow at his chin and you gently pushed it away, making her step back as she spoke to him.
She flicked her eyes to you and then back to him.
You took the ears plugs out to listen.
“You like a baby, making noise. Don’t know what to do.”
He tried shushing her and you smacked the back of his head as he stood up.
He glared a little and turned to her to carry on their conversation.
He asked her why she saved the pair of you.
“You have a strong heart. No fear.” She said to him.
Then she pointed at you.
“This one has a pure soul, but a deep struggle.”
Then she turned back to him.
“But stupid! Ignorant like a child!”
Jake laughed, turning to you and you rolled your eyes, pushing him to follow her and you both jogged to keep up.
He kept trying to talk while running across the log, and nearly fell but she caught him, calling him a baby again making you smile.
She told you both to go back, and you watched as small white things fell from the sky and Jake hit one making her hiss.
He hit another and she grabbed his arms, speaking to herself as she watched them surround your and your older brother.
Finally she let you follow her you two were captured by others and led to a large tree which you watched in amazement, admiring everything.
Your ear plugs were still in, and while Jake spoke with them, Neytiri watched you closely.
You didn’t seem to be hearing anything, and as they asked what Jake did, they turned to you.
“You, what do you do?”
You didn’t reply and the leader growled a little and one of them went to grab you but Jake stopped them, placing his hand on his shoulder.
He gestured for you to take the ear plugs out and you did, turning to face them.
“What are you?”
You turned to Jake.
Tell them I am a doctor, a healer and a researcher.
“Shes a healer, and a researcher like Dr Augustine.”
“Why will she not speak?” A woman asked.
“She can’t. She was born deaf, she cannot hear so she never learned how to speak.” Jake replied.
Neytiri walked over and wiggled her fingers, so you handed the earplugs to her, letting her exam them before handing them to her parents.
“And these?” Her father asked.
“In this body (Y/N) can hear, but noise can be to much for her. These block out that noise.”
He handed them back to Neytiri who gave them back to you, and Jake nodded, telling you to put them back in so you did.
While they talked he signed everything to you both and eventually you were allowed to stay and learn with them, though you had to change.
Neytiri had instantly taken an interest in you, and the next day as you watched your brother try to learn how to ride a Direhorse she turned to you.
She did the same thing Jake did to tell you to remove the ear plugs so you did, and she pulled you away somewhere a bit quieter.
“You cannot talk, yes?” She asked.
You nodded your head.
“So how do you communicate with your people? Your brother?”
You waved your hands in the air and grabbed a small stick, writing in the dirt.
‘I can write, or sign.’
She took a few moments to read it.
“Sign? What is this?”
You looked around before gesturing for her to follow you which she did, you lead to her grab and picked up a rock, throwing it at his head as he wiped mud from his face.
“Seriously?” He asked you.
Walking over, he stood in front of you.
Can you translate?
“Yeah. Sure.”
Neytiri had her eyes glued to your hands as they moved, and she tried copying some of the movements, something both you and Jake noticed.
Smiling, you turned to Jake.
Do you think we can teach her?
Maybe. We can always try.
You nodded and pointed to her.
“It’s sign language, it’s how people who can’t hear or talk communicate. Do you want to learn?”
“Yes! Yes I do! I wish to be able to talk to you in your language.” She smiled at you.
So you taught her, and she was a quick learner, and now you didn’t have to worry about finding Jake, because she had caught on to most of it easily.
You had to change some things to help her, but it worked just the same.
Sitting by a stream with Neytiri, she was asking questions about you and practicing her sign.
“If you are healer, why not heal your ears?” She asked.
Turning to face her you sighed a little bit before replying.
I don’t have the money, that procedure is really expensive it cost a lot. I spent my whole life in silence, so I wasn’t that rushed to change it.
“Oh I see. Would you change it if you could?”
You thought for a moment.
Some days yes. Some days no. It’s nice not having to hear Jake complain.
She laughed loudly making you smile.
You tapped her shoulder, making her turn to you.
Can you tell me more about Eywa?
“You wish to learn more of our culture?”
She seemed shocked and you smiled and nodded your head.
Neytiri immediately grew excited and jumped up, whistling for her banshee and she helped you up, making sure you were safe.
She took to the air, and you looked around, eyes glued to the white tree as you approached it.
When you landed she took your hand and led you over, getting you to sit down with her as she started to explain Eywa, and their beliefs and culture to you.
And you happy sat there listened along while you admired the beautiful tree.
Neytiri smiled when she looked at you, ears flicking a little as she spoke, tilting your head every now and then.
She wondered if you would ever learn to talk, maybe that’s something she could ask Eywa to help with, to bring you your voice.
But she was happy talking to you in sign language, a few others of the tribe were learning from here so they could talk to you too.
Since Neytiri took you under her wing, adopted you as her own sister everyone wanted to know you, talk to you and learn about you.
Neytiri was going to make sure to teach you everything to keep yourself safe, things you could do without having to rely on your hearing in case you couldn’t use it

Part 99
McCoy
“Where’s your other half?” Jim asked.
McCoy shrugged. “Not sure,” he answered as he stabbed another bite of salad. “His class before lunch is something engineering. He probably got caught up on something.”
Lunch continued around them. McCoy kept a stealthy eye on Aporal, who had joined them again, but the Andorian hadn’t done or said anything so far that could be a show of interest in Jaylah. McCoy felt slightly disappointed at that.
When Sulu and Chekov stood up together McCoy was surprised to discover lunch was nearly over and Scotty still hadn’t appeared. Worry went through him and quietly he tapped his ring.
“Wow,” Chekov said and McCoy looked up. “He’s not going to have much time to eat.” McCoy followed Chekov’s gaze and saw Scotty hurrying through the food line.
“I know! I know!” Scotty waved a hand at Jim opening his mouth to comment as Scotty quickly sat down.
“Guess we’ll see you at dinner then,” Jim said to Scotty as most of the friends got up.
“Where have you been Montgomery Scotty?” Jaylah asked.
Scotty shook his head at her. He had stuffed a large bite of sandwich into his mouth. McCoy wanted to know where his husband had been too. Something was worried on Scotty’s face and that made McCoy’s anxiety rise.
“Don’t be late because of me love,” Scotty said after swallowing. McCoy and Cora were the only ones still sitting. “I’ll tell ye later.” He took another bite and finished off the sandwich half he had been holding.
McCoy bit his lip as he looked at Scotty. Something had happened and he wanted to know what. But he knew Scotty was right; he needed to get to class.
“Ok,” he said slowly. He stood and squeezed Scotty’s shoulder with the hand not carrying his empty tray.
“You sure you don’t want company?” Cora asked Scotty.
“I’m fine,” Scotty said, through another bite. “I’ll be done in a minute and on my way to class too.”
“Heading to class?” a voice asked next to McCoy. He startled slightly and looked over to see Eugene.
“Yeah,” he answered. “Just gotta take care of this.”
“Hey Scotty,” Eugene greeted him. Scotty nodded back, his mouth full again.
“Bye guys,” Cora said as she came back to pick up her bag.
“Seeya,” McCoy said. Cora headed the opposite way out of the dining hall.
“So, uhh, who was that?” Eugene asked as he and McCoy walked to class.
“Who was…? Huh?” McCoy asked. His mind was still stuck on Scotty and why he’d been late. Keenser and Jaylah and Aporal had all been on time, what had delayed Scotty? Had another teacher gotten him in trouble?
“The girl sitting with you guys.”
McCoy gave his head a shake to clear his thoughts and looked over at Eugene. A hint of color was climbing his face.
“There’s a bunch of girls that sit with us, which one?”
“The last one,” Eugene said. “The one who was taking care of her tray when I came over.”
“Cora? What about her?”
“Oh. Umm, nothing,” Eugene said. “Nevermind.”
Eugene had definitely colored. McCoy grinned.
“First it was Chris and now it’s Cora?” he teased.
“What? No!” Eugene protested. “Ok,” he said after a moment. “I’ve noticed her around.”
“She is cute,” McCoy said, watching his words make Eugene blush again.
“How are you friends with all these beautiful girls?” Eugene demanded playfully.
McCoy shrugged. “I’m a prince?” He laughed as Eugene rolled his eyes. “Want me to introduce you?”
“Yeah,” Eugene said. “If you wouldn’t mind.”
“Come join us at dinner. I’ll save you a seat,” McCoy smiled.
Part 100
Scotty
"Lt. Hamilton! Sir! I need to talk to ye! It's important!"
Scotty was glad to find one of the security people investigating in Aporal's case. The man turned around when he heard the familiar voice. He was instantly alerted by the sound of worry in it.
"What's wrong, cadet?"
Scotty looked around. There weren't any other students around but he still didn't want to have this talk in a corridor.
"Can we go somewhere private? I don't want anyone to hear what I have to tell ye."
Hamilton gave him a nod and they quickly walked into a close by room.
"Your name was... Scott-McCoy, right?"
Scotty gave him a nod, his body still trembling from what he had heard.
"A-aye, sir."
"Is this about Mr. Tallister's case?" Hamilton asked, his face showing just how serious the situation was treated.
"Aye. But... it's turning into something bigger!"
Scotty pulled out his comm and with shaking hands opened the record.
"I... I accidentally overheard a talk Francis Kinnear and his friends had and-"
Scotty stopped when he saw a strange look in Hamilton's eyes. The man sighed.
"Francis Kinnear has an alibi for the night when it happened. His uncle told us that he was helping the boy study for a test."
"That's nonsense! The admiral is lying!"
Scotty knew that he shouldn't talk like that about a superior officer *in front of* a superior officer, but he wouldn't let Francis get through with everything.
"Watch your mouth, cadet!"
"But he is!"
Without another word, Scotty played the record he had made.
Hamilton looked at the device in the Scotsman's hand and with every word he heard, his eyes widened.
"Ye see?"
He thought about what Hamilton had said once more.
"Maybe... maybe Admiral Kinnear didn't lie, okay? Maybe Francis was with him. But he's definitely guilty. He is the mastermind. And now he's planning on burning down the labs!"
Hamilton pinched the bridge of his nose. This was all quite a lot to take in.
"Thank you for showing me this. We will look further into it."
Scotty nodded. He really hoped that they would get Francis and the rest of those bastards!
They were sitting in their last class, discussing Aporal's ideas for improvements, when suddenly the door opened and four people came in.
Three of them were security, Scotty recognized Hamilton and Jameson, and one of them was a very angry looking Admiral Kinnear.
"Francis! A word! Right now!"
The called out boy startled in surprise when he heard the upset sounding voice of his uncle and he turned his head to look at the people standing in the door.
His face paled slightly as he got to his feet.
"Of course, sir."
Everyone watched with wide eyes as the small group escorted Francis out of the room and Scotty couldn't keep a smile off his face.
"What is going on, Montgomery Scotty?" Jaylah hissed at her Scottish friend, obviously seeing that he knew more about it.
"Don't worry. Everyone will find out soon enough," Scotty said mysteriously, exchanging a glance with Aporal who looked just as surprised as the other students. Scotty gave him a small nod and a smile spread across the Andorian's face. He knew what this was about... and he couldn't be more grateful.

Flashback
Sweat trickled down the girls face as she remembered the nightmare she gets every night.
'You are one of us. Give in. Let us take over."
She peeked out the window as she climbed down the tree for the 30th time.
The little girl hopped across the stones in the garden as she made it to the pond. She picks up lily from the grass as she walked. The girl comes here every night after a nightmare. She sits down as she takes both sock and shoes off.
She let her feet hit the cold water as she look at the sky. The peace was cut short as she felt a force push her the the water. The girl held her breath as she sunk down feelings the bubbles surface around her body. She began to close her eyes as she felt a arm grab hers.
"Are you okay? I saw you fall into the water." The girl gasped for air as she continued to cough. She looked up and saw a kid her age. he stared at her. she looked like angel while he seemed like he had a darker demeanor within him. "I'm okay...."
The girl slightly smiles and face reddens st the sight of the boy.
She put back on her shoes and held her socks. The boy looked over to her as he stepped forward. "I'm mark... you seem cold. Here's my jacket! Get home safely." The girl nodded and she hesitated to grab the jacket in the child's hand.
But sooner than later she took it and bowed politely "thank you.." the boy smiled back as he watched the girl fade into the forest across the stones.
"Who is she and why are my boy talking to her?" The tall strange man spoke from afar
-
I huffed as I heard my alarm blast in my ear. I unwillingly get out of bed I get ready. "Mom I'm leaving! Tell dad.. if he's even home." I shut the door as I ran to the bus stop. Monday 8:30 am  Here I was practically falling asleep waiting for our teacher as I let out a yawn. I felt a hand hit the back of my head as it was the most annoying person here.. Renjun "can't have you falling asleep in class now can we?" I slapped his hand away as I heard the class room door open.
The class went quiet as the teacher began speaking. "Well today class we have a new Student!" The girls squealed as they saw the oddly attractive red haired guy. "Introduce yourself!"
"I'm Mark." He said as he kept a cold straight face
Stuck up much I continued doodling in my notebook as I heard my name. "How about you sit in the empty chair near ___ . Raise your hand!" I unplugged one earphone as I slightly raised my hand as I plugged it back in my ear. I turned my volume up as I didn't want to hear the whispers around me.
I looked at the board as I felt shuffling besides me. I turned my head as I saw Mark looking at me. Our eye contact was cut short as I heard the teacher began talking again.
"___! Im talking to you. I want you to show this boy around." I opened my mouth to decline as she cut me off
"I don't wanna hear it! Now go!" I groaned as I pushed out my seat and pulled my cross bag over my head. I took out one ear phone as I led him out the door. Why me.. he stood there staring at me as his tongue fidgeted with his lip piercing. My eyes wandered around his face as I looked at his eyebrow piercing. His eyes locked with mine as he spoke.
"I don't need a tour." He said as he pulled his bag over his shoulder and walked down the hall as my eyes followed him.
Could she really stay away from him.. after all, curiosity killed the cat.
-
Tuesday 4:36 am I hopped over the stones again as I got the same nightmare. I carefully threw food to the fish and as I saw the huddle up in a group. "When will he come back? he promised me.. Maybe I need to grow up and get over it.." I said as my eyes blurred when looking at my reflection in the water.
"I will come back! Even if it takes forever.." the boy said he held her hand. "I'm sorry I have to leave like this.. I don't want to put you in danger-" the boy was cut off as the water rippled.  The boy pulled the girl into a near small cabin. "Stay here! I'll will be back. Just don't come out until I come back" The boy placed a charm in the girls hand as he stepped out the cabin. The girl cried "please come back.." he sadly smiled as the door locked. And the girls cries got louder. She looked down at the charm. It was an angel.
Which made the girl cry even more. "That silly nickname.."
Flashback
The boy sat next to her and hands her a sandwich. "Has anyone ever told you that you look like an angel?" The boy said as the girl face reddens "well. no..." The boy smiles "Well your my angel..."
five minutes passed, 10 minutes, 50 minutes, 2 hours... and no one came.. the girl opened the cabin door with the key on the charm. She coughed as dust filled the air. Fire.. she saw a fire being created my an anonymous figure as they ran. The girl wanted to look for the boy but the fire grew. She ran.. she could taste the salt of her tears as they went down her face.
"He lied to me. Why did he lie to me!" She yelled as she continued to run. She made it to her house as her mom was at the door frantically looking for her daughter. "Are you okay __?! I looked everywhere for you. I heard there was a fire.." the girl cried in the arms of her mother as her mother pulled her inside. "I'm sorry my daughter.. but it had to be done.."
The vision was a blur and to her.. I couldn't remember really anything. his name, his face, only the sound of his voice. Nothing was the same anymore. I kept the charm around my neck as my protection. The only piece on remembrance I had.  What did my mother mean? It had to be done..
My mother was able to get people to rebuild and fix the pond and stones after the fire but it still didn't feel the same without them.. they made it feel like home. My thoughts were cut off by someone
"What are you doing here this late?" She turned to see a face she never expected to see. "Wait whats your name again... Mark? Why are you here?" He scoffed as he leaned up against a tree. "I used to come here when I was younger." He said as his eyes darted towards the charm. I looked away from him as I wiped my eyes.
I could feel his eyes still on me as I walked up to him. "have a good sleep." I said as he grabbed my arm. I looked at him in confusion "well um sleep well.." he let me go as I was confused by the sudden action. I hopped back across the stones. When I looked back I noticed that he was already gone. I paused
"How the hell did he leave that fast?"
He slowly looked at the girl from a far distance and muttered under his breath
"Angel, only If you could remember..."

AITA for accidentally getting someone kidnapped?
I [child M] am a magician. One day, I'm just, you know, at home, and all of a sudden this... thing shows up in my crystal ball, falling out of the sky. I assumed the thing was a monster and went to go check on the people at this one café. On my way there I spot the owner of the place [Adult F] who I'll call A, picking the thing (turns out the "monster" was actually a person [Child M] who I'll call C, but I didn't know that yet) up and taking it with her back to the café. I am horrified by this and decide then and there that C wants to hurt everyone and has to go. I follow A and C back to the café and watch through the window as C is introduced to the others, M (Child F), CH (Child F), CA (Child... M? NB? Not sure), E (Child M), and MI (Even Younger Child M), named, and immediately accepted. Thinking that C is evil and tricking everyone, I start casting spells to try and either cut the problem off at its source (ie: kill or otherwise defeat C) or get everyone to kick C out. The first two are dealt with like it's nothing, and I start getting frustrated. The third spell... goes very wrong. The ACTUAL monster I created with it doesn't stop when A gets between it and C. I get in there as fast as I can and yell at the thing, and when that doesn't work, I cast another spell to try and get rid of it, which goes EVEN WORSE SOMEHOW. So now the room's filling with smoke and everyone including me passes out.
I wake up before the others, and immediately notice that 1: We're in some messed up forest now, and 2: A is gone. I start crying, realizing this is my fault, and eventually the others wake up, have their own reactions to the situation, and then notice me. They instantly come over and start yelling at me and reiterating that this whole ordeal is my fault. (Aside from C, who is just confused and has no idea who I am) M is the most hostile, saying I'm a terrible magician (excuse her, I'm a GREAT magician) and demanding that I get them out. I start looking through my spellbook, and I'm honestly kind of panicking at this point, And E says that I can't do it. I retaliate, but promptly notice that, uhh... the trees are moving. I freak out and run off, but trip and fall. Everyone else except CA, who's already been grabbed by now, trips over ME, and we all get picked up by the trees and eaten by one of them and basically are just falling down some weird glowy bottomless pit now?? M tells me to cast something again, and i do, but then the smoke-passing-out thing happens again.
We wake up in what I can only assume is Candyland-- deceptively innocent. Everyone else is ooh-ing and ahh-ing over, you know, Candyland, while I try to figure out what's going on. C calls the others to action, reminding them that A's still missing, and notices some big castle, which we hear A screaming out for help from. We set off to try and save her, but almost die like 3 times because, turns out, Candyland is Not Fun And Kinda Hates Us. Finally we get inside the stupid castle and promptly find out the monster I summoned has turned into some knockoff of me and is trying to marry A against her will, which, weird, she's way older than me that's kinda creepy even without the forced part. M starts yelling and saying I did this on purpose (despite me telling her i have NO idea what's happening during one of the near-death things) and that the knockoff IS me. We get into a screaming match and alert A and the monster and after a while of me yelling at it A finally calls it out and it??? MELTS? not what I wanted to see but okay. It turns back into the original monster but bigger, breaks out of the castle, and takes A with it. We climb our way out and start throwing stuff at the thing, and it eventually slides down the castle some and we almost suffocate in icing, fun fun. (sarcasm) CA creatively destroys the pillars holding the castle up and the monster falls off a cliff, but now A's hanging onto the edge and about to fall. The monster starts crawling back up, C jumps down there and long story short, saves A and now I'm wondering what on earth he is because how did he do that. We get sent back to the cafe and everyone except C, A, and MI starts saying it's my fault and asking why I was casting spells. I tell em it's because something (C) fell out of the sky. A hits the nail on the head and asks if I was trying to protect everyone, and when I admit it, everyone says It's okay. Then everyone gets distracted and I go to leave, but C stops me. Everyone says that I'm their friend and I'm gonna be honest I still don't get why, but I am glad! I.. may or may not have started crying. So I guess I'm their friend now? But still, I feel like it's my fault.
