waahhhhhh
no but i love hank!!! the way he and john both have been so supportive of this community since the beginning and have never belittled the passion (insanity) of the phandom. the fact that they've seen dnp grow up to stay grounded and humble despite the success and have always had lovely things to say about them. idk it's just so nice (especially since so many of us are also big fans of h&j) idk it's just so refreshing to see someone have kind things to say about this community without making us the butt of a joke

not quite sure how to cope with the fact that I told my boss I'll be turning 32 in a couple weeks, and having her respond, "oh, I thought you were 25"

It's just WILD to me that bioware would pull this shit right after bg3 comes out to outstanding reviews for it's writing and characters!! Like I haven't played bg3 yet but it's clear to everyone with eyes that it's setting a new standard for RPGs despite how other studios are scrambling to claim it's a one off and impossible to replicate the same standard. And then bioware, in the wake of this, where half it's fans are seeing how amazing bg3 is and maybe losing interesting in da because of it are like...oh hey why don't we fire the writer who wrote some of our best received characters and a bunch more of the team to the point where it feels they don't care about the games anymore (depsite their stupid claim that this will help with releasing DA4). like. How is this not going to make people just lose complete faith and look somewhere else - especially when that something else is RIGHT THERE because it JUST CAME OUT

"Durge came back different", "Durge didn't really come back", "the person who Durge originally was is dead" are all good takes, but what if.
If Durge came back exactly as they were? The brain damage, additional trauma and memory loss are the big altering factors, but underneath that it's still them.
They didn't change drastically, their former self is not dead.
How about one single fragile mortal soul still keeping a hold on itself, how about Durge who was never allowed anything for themselves still retaining them.
How about Durge who has lost everything: power, memories, purpose, sense of self, still being themselves, despite it all.
How about not even Orin's daggers, tadpole and Bhaal combined being able to rob them of their core? How about all of that just revealed who Durge has always been underneath all those expectations Father dearest put on them?
How about: "After all this time, it's still you."

At this point the only thing keeping me from adding other characters from mcyters into this world is the fact that it would, eventually bring me to the point of "Xornoth and Scott's little sibling, Aimsey" and at that point there is no salvaging the original storyline.
It's a whole separate au that I'll have to come back to after this one is more or less done

about the camera man:
who is he?
did he film all the videos or just this one?
has he been shirtless through all of them??
is he even wearing pants???
could he be one of the hockey players? and if so, did they just ask random people to film the videos?
WHO ELSE DID THEY ASK??

grumbles
what if portfolio day but its as slick and professional looking an image every given non-coward artist can muster of a character they made or have worked on saying "ceasefire now" or "they got money for wars, but can't feed the poor" and clogging the tag to total uselessness with it
