People who claim that RWBY has "bad writing" just because they don't ship Blake and Yang irritate my entire being
Let me rant for a bit lol
1) they claim that it was "out of nowhere" or "poorly developed"
Have we been watching the same show? While I don't think it was perfectly executed (no story is), Yang and Blake are very clearly an example of the friends to lovers trope. They've cared about each other deeply from the first arc. They go through so much together, helping each other overcome trauma. This couple has a very solid foundation. Then, the nature of their relationship clearly shifts to become romantic in later volumes. They've been planting the seeds for it for years already.
2) they're mad Blake isn't with Sun even though they had a crush on each other in early volumes.
Have yall never had a high school crush before? It's cute, but that sort of thing dies out with time. Blake and Sun went their separate ways and haven't seen each other in a while. So much has happened in the story since the last time they saw each other. While I understand the criticism that Sun kind of disappeared without much explanation, so has most of the other characters from the Beacon arc. CRWBY has a lot of ground to cover in terms of story telling, and the episodes are short and each volume only has several episodes. My hope is that we'll get to see what everyone else is up to when the time is right, and Black Sun shippers will get some sort of closure. I've always shipped the Bees, but I respect Black Sun as a ship!
3) they claim that "this wasn't what Monty would have wanted" and that the writers "gave in to the threats of the toxic side of the fandom"
How do you know? Were you in Monty's brain? We'll never know (rest in peace, king). I'm sure Monty probably had an idea of where he wanted the story to go, and I'm sure CRWBY is trying their best to honor that. Also, stories evolve. I think CRWBY has created a vast and expansive world with interesting characters and a phenomenal plot. Sure, it's not perfect. But it's fun, and RWBY as a franchise has grown up alongside many of us, so it has a special place in my heart regardless.
I hope it's not true that people were sending threats to the writers to see their ships come to life. At the end of the day, these are fictional characters. Plot devices. No ones wellbeing should be threatened over that. That being said, the ugly parts of fandoms are often just a vocal minority. I think most people who ship the bees are just gays who love RWBY and love seeing wholesome wlw representation.
Also, Blake and Yang's romance isn't a huge part of the show (it's more so in this volume since they finally have a break from the Salem mess so they finally have a chance to work through their ~feelings~). So, it's easy to skip if you like the show but don't like the ship.
If you don't like RWBY, don't watch it. Point blank period. If it's such "bad writing," move on and find a different franchise to pour energy into.
(Honestly, it's screaming homophobia. Saw someone say it was an issue of "morality"... like what century are you in, bro)

A Learning Experience
Author's Note: Man, not gonna lie, I kinda forgot about this one. Guess that happens with how much I've written over such a long time. Also, I forgot how similar this one was to The Breast of Bees. Really goes to show that people will absolutely read multiple fics that share similar plotlines. Not that I'd use that information for ill purposes, of course, I still wanna try and write new and unique filthy, filthy (but sometimes wholesome) smut.
Weiss was enjoying a mostly quiet Sunday morning working on some assignment. Most of her team was away, while her blonde teammate Yang was quietly browsing the ScrollNet on her top bunk. At least, that had been what had been happening. Yang decided to ruin the silence by crawling over to the edge of her bed and coughing to distract Weiss.
“So, Weiss, Blake and I went past the dorm while you were ‘studying’,” Yang said with exaggerated air quotes. Weiss put her pen down and turned to face Yang.
“I hope you weren’t trying to invade my privacy,” Weiss replied sternly.
“Didn’t have to try, you weren’t being subtle at all.” Weiss lost her ability to look Yang in the eyes, instead electing to look at her white boots and blush. “You must have been having a hell of a time,” Yang teased. With an unexpected surge of confidence Weiss shot up from her chair and locked eyes with Yang’s violet eyes.
“As a matter of fact, I had an amazing time. Best I’ve had since I arrived at Beacon,” Weiss answered with a coy smile.
“So that wasn’t the only time you’ve done it, huh? I’m surprised no one heard you before.”
“Well, I suppose I wasn’t quite as… motivated as I was yesterday.” Weiss slowly stepped towards Yang’s bunk and Yang leant in ever so slightly closer.
“Oh really? Here I was thinking you’d be vanilla as can be,” Yang said with a giggle.
“Well, I could show you how less-than-vanilla I am, if you think you can handle it,” Weiss taunted. Yang scoffed.
“Please, I’m as kinky as they come. Bring it!” Yang leapt down in front of Weiss and flexed her biceps as she shot Weiss a cocky smirk.
“Very well. Take your clothes off and wait on my bed,” Weiss commanded as she retrieve a small duffle bag from under her bed. Yang made quick work of her clothes, launching her jacket, top, boots and shorts up to her bunk, leaving her in her mismatched socks and a simple set of cream coloured underwear. “Yang, how attached to that bra are you?” Yang chewed her lip in thought.
“It’s one of my comfier ones, so, sorta attached, I guess.”
“I’d recommend removing it then.” Yang slipped out of the bra and flung it over to the rest of her discarded clothes, leaving her in her panties and socks.
“Well, now I’ve got no idea what you did yesterday.”
“This isn’t exactly what I did yesterday,” Weiss explained, “but it is somewhat similar and I felt that you would enjoy this more.” Weiss sat on Yang’s lap and retrieve a tub of gel from her duffle bag. “This gel will expand your breasts while you’re aroused,” Weiss added.
“Wait, seriously? They’re gonna end up huge!” Yang began massaging her already impressive breasts and biting her bottom lip.
“I knew you’d like it,” Weiss teased. “Arms up, Yang.” Yang followed Weiss’ command and raised her arms above her head, crossing her arms at the wrists. Weiss summoned up a glyph around Yang’s wrists to restrict her ability to move
“I hope you weren’t doing bondage stuff on your own,” Yang said, shooting Weiss a concerned look.
“Of course not. I may not know as much about this as you or Blake do, but I at least know not to do that on your own,” an almost incredulous Weiss replied as she opened the tub, revealing an orange gel that seemed to have a faint glow to it. “Now, when you’re ready…” Yang responded by jiggling her chest at Weiss, dramatically emphasising her bosom for everyone’s benefit. Weiss rolled her eyes and scooped up a small handful of the gel, feeling its warmth as it glowed on her fingers. She put the tub down and spread the gel over both of her hands. She then reached out and took Yang’s soft breasts in her hands, gently massaging the gel into them, eliciting a soft gasp from Yang.
“Mmm, that feels so good,” Yang moaned, letting the pleasure flood her mind. Weiss straddled Yang’s legs to get a better view of her. Soon, the effects of the gel began to take effect, slowly but steadily making Yang’s breasts larger and larger. Within a minute they were beginning to spill out of Weiss’ dainty massaging hand, Yang moaning all the while. Weiss responded by simply letting them drop and bounce before they rested, staying as perky as if they had been in a bra. “How are they doing that?” Yang asked with a gasp.
“A special effect of this gel. I have other ways of doing this, with different effects,” Weiss explained in a tone that did an admirable job of covering up how incredibly aroused Weiss was becoming. As Weiss finished her explanation, Yang’s breasts had each grown to the size of Yang’s head, and were still growing.
“I know I should’ve asked earlier, but this isn’t permanent, right?”
“Unfortunately not,” Weiss answered in a wistful tone that put a smirk on Yang’s face.
“Feeling a little a-cup envy there, Ice Queen?” Yang teased, before stifling a moan.
“They are b-cup, thank you very much!” Weiss fired back, before roughly grabbing handfuls of Yang’s breast. Yang let out a loud, shaky moan.
“G-gah, I wish I could’ve done this earlier,” Yang said quickly, before a high pitched moan escaped her lips. A jolt went through her body as her breasts finally stopped growing, large enough to block Yang’s view of anything below them, a significant area now that her huge breasts were each about as large as basketballs. Weiss shuffled off of Yang’s lap and stood, appraising Yang’s newly improved assets.
“That worked better than I expected. I suppose the amount of gel helped with that,” Weiss mused. She sauntered over to Yang’s clothes and lay them on Yang’s lap, before letting the glyph restricting Yang’s arms disappear. “I think you know what I want.” Yang nodded and, after giving her expanded endowments a quick squeeze, Yang began redressing herself. The panties and shorts were made only slightly more difficult by Yang’s inability to see most of her body and bend over fully. The bra was quite simply impossible, having been made for a reasonably sized chest, leaving Yang to squeeze her massive tits into her yellow tube top while braless. The top was stretched to its limit as it strained to fit and contain Yang’s bosom, only really managing to cover the majority of the breasts, leaving her underbust and vast cleavage open for anyone to see. After that, the vest was easy, as Yang could just skip the buttons and leave the vest open and her abs on display beneath her massive mammaries. Yang took a moment to admire her undeniably attractive body, before the snap of a camera brought her back to the real world in time to see Weiss holding her scroll facing Yang.
“Guess I don’t need to tell ya to take a picture,” Yang joked.
“How else would I show Blake and Team JNPR?” Weiss responded with faked innocence.
“Like I wouldn’t be all about showing off these babies for them,” Yang teased back.
“That can happen later.” Weiss gently pushed Yang back down to the bed, Yang doing most of the work. “For now, it will just be the two of us.” Weiss reached into her duffle bag and pulled out a long, double ended dildo.
“Ooh, that looks fun,” Yang cheered.
“Oh, that reminds me, now that our photoshoot is done, are you attached to that top?” Weiss asked, leaning over Yang. Yang paused for a moment.
“Eh, I’ve got more, I can ruin one,” Yang shrugged. A lecherous grin slipped on to Weiss’s face.
“Oh, I’m so glad you said that.” With that, Weiss tugged Yang’s shorts and panties off and slid one end of the dildo into Yang’s slick core. Then, she dropped her own panties and eased herself on to the other. She then began to rock back and forth on it, almost making Yang do the same through momentum and pushing the dildo. It didn’t take long for Yang to follow her lead, the two girls’ moans intermingling as they edged closer and closer to the edge. Weiss undid the zip on the back of her dress and then grabbed two large handfuls of Yang’s sizable chest as she picked up the pace. The volume rose as the two girls became more and more aroused and the pleasure rose and rose. Then, Weiss let out a loud, high pitched scream as she tightened up and came long and hard. As she came, her chest began to grow. Her strapless bra grew tighter and tighter until there was a snap from the back and the whole thing fell into Weiss’s lap. There, bare and visible to the world, were Weiss’s breasts, which had doubled in size in mere moments. Yang didn’t have time to savour the view, however, as her own orgasm came crashing upon her, forcing her to arch her back and let out a long, loud moan. Her already huge chest grew larger, but it wasn’t quite the transformation that Weiss’s orgasm created. At least, until the side of her top split, tearing down from the top until the whole thing was torn and her big, soft bosom broke free. After that, the top was just a useless piece of cloth barely covering her modesty, which obviously meant that Yang tossed it away as soon as she came down from her pleasurable high.
“Oh wow, that works too?” Yang panted. Weiss nodded as she tried to catch her own breath.
“I have more,” Weiss said through deep breaths. “Would you mind ‘testing’ one of them?” Yang made her approval very clear while Weiss extracted both ends of the dido from their cores. Tossing it aside, Weiss retrieved a simple black strap-on that she quickly put around Yang’s crotch.
“So, do we just have sex and then your boobs get bigger?” Yang asked as Weiss turned around and presented her private region to her.
“I certainly hope so,” Weiss said. Yang gripped Weiss’s hips firmly and slowly worked the strap-on into her core, pulling a high-pitched moan from Weiss. Yang immediately began to speed up her thrusts. The increasingly high-pitched sounds coming from Weiss was a sign that Yang was doing something right. Yang leant forward, resting her soft, heavy chest on Weiss’s back and focused entirely on quickly thrusting into Weiss in order to bring about a fast orgasm. There wasn’t much wait, as Weiss’s moans reached a crescendo and her chest immediately began to grow. They grew until they could hang down to the bed from Weiss’s chest on her hands and knees, then they began to fill out, widening, softening and growing heavier. Weiss shakily sat up and manoeuvred herself on to Yang’s lap, where Yang’s warm hands immediately began to cradle and play with Weiss’s expanded chest.
“Oh wow, they’re almost as big as mine,” she said, seemingly legitimately surprised by the result.
“Well, as much as I’d love to compare and contrast,” an out of breath Weiss responded, “that took a lot out of me.” Weiss began escaping the rest of her clothes.
“Well, I’m down for a nap too, once I’m done cleaning up,” Yang said, giving Weiss a quick hug, before gently moving Weiss off her strap-on. Before Yang could say more, Weiss’s head moved for her bed’s pillows, passing out the moment it made contact.

Key Difference Between Honey And Sugar
In the realm of sweetness, two contenders stand out: honey and sugar. While both add a delightful sweetness to our lives, delving deeper reveals a stark contrast between these two sweeteners. Let's embark on a journey to uncover the nuances and understand the exact distinctions in the age-old debate of honey vs sugar.
The Natural Essence of Honey: Honey, a golden elixir revered since ancient times, is a product of nature's alchemy. Crafted by honeybees from floral nectars, honey embodies the essence of its origins. Its rich flavor profile, ranging from floral and fruity to robust and earthy, reflects the diverse landscapes from which it is harvested. Beyond its sweetness, honey boasts an array of health benefits, from its antioxidant properties to its antibacterial and antifungal qualities. As nature's sweet gift, honey stands as a symbol of purity and vitality.
The Refined Allure of Sugar: Contrastingly, sugar, often derived from sugarcane or sugar beets, undergoes a refining process that strips away its natural elements. What remains is the pure sucrose, devoid of the nuanced flavors and beneficial compounds found in honey. While sugar's sweetness is undeniable, its nutritional profile pales in comparison to that of honey. Laden with empty calories and devoid of essential nutrients, excessive sugar consumption has been linked to various health concerns, including obesity, diabetes, and heart disease.
Nutritional Comparison: When comparing honey vs sugar, the nutritional disparities become evident. While both primarily consist of carbohydrates, honey contains trace amounts of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. In contrast, sugar offers little beyond its sweetening power. Moreover, honey has a lower glycemic index than sugar, resulting in a slower release of glucose into the bloodstream, which can help regulate blood sugar levels.
Versatility in Culinary Applications: In the culinary realm, both honey and sugar find their places in a myriad of dishes and beverages. Honey's unique flavor profile lends itself well to both sweet and savory recipes, enhancing everything from dressings and marinades to desserts and pastries. Sugar, on the other hand, serves primarily as a sweetener, offering sweetness without imparting additional flavors. However, its ability to dissolve easily makes it a staple in baking and beverage preparation.
Environmental Impact: Beyond the realm of nutrition and flavor, the production of honey and sugar also diverges in terms of environmental impact. Honey production relies on the pollination services provided by bees, contributing to the health and biodiversity of ecosystems. In contrast, sugar cultivation often involves intensive agricultural practices that can lead to deforestation, habitat loss, and soil degradation.
Conclusion: In the age-old debate of honey vs sugar, the choice extends beyond mere sweetness. Honey, with its natural essence, nutritional richness, and environmental benefits, stands as a beacon of wholesome sweetness. Sugar, while undeniably sweet, falls short in terms of nutrition and environmental sustainability. As we navigate the realms of culinary delight and conscious consumption, let us savor the sweetness of honey while acknowledging its myriad virtues over its refined counterpart, sugar.

The Sweet Essence of Honey: Nature's Golden Treasure
Honey, with its luscious golden hue and delectable taste, is more than just a sweet indulgence—it's a testament to the intricate wonders of the natural world. From its origins in the buzzing hives of industrious bees to its diverse culinary and medicinal uses, honey has enchanted civilizations for millennia, earning its place as a cherished ingredient and symbol of abundance honey
The journey of honey begins with the remarkable collaboration between bees and flowers. As bees forage for nectar, they inadvertently pollinate flowers, facilitating the reproduction of countless plant species. Back at the hive, the collected nectar undergoes a transformative process, where enzymes and evaporation work their magic to create the thick, syrupy substance we know as honey. This alchemy imbues honey with a rich tapestry of flavors, ranging from delicate floral notes to robust earthiness, each reflecting the unique botanical sources of the nectar.
But honey's allure extends far beyond its taste. Revered for its medicinal properties since ancient times, honey boasts an array of health benefits. Its antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties make it a soothing remedy for sore throats and coughs, while its antioxidant content offers immune-boosting support. Whether enjoyed drizzled over yogurt or used as a natural sweetener in baking, honey adds a touch of wholesome goodness to every dish it graces.
Moreover, honey serves as a beacon of sustainability and environmental stewardship. By supporting beekeeping practices that prioritize the health and well-being of bee populations, we can safeguard the delicate balance of ecosystems and ensure the continued pollination of crops essential for global food security honey
In essence, honey is more than just a condiment; it's a golden treasure that embodies the essence of nature's abundance and resilience. So the next time you savor a spoonful of honey, take a moment to appreciate the intricate web of life that brought it to your table—a reminder of the beauty and interconnectedness of the natural world.

5 Underrated Audio Drama: Cool Powers Edition
I am the biggest sucker for cool powers, and if you are too, you may have already heard more popular podcasts such as The Bright Sessions or SPINES (if not, why not add them to your list, too?). For the ✨5th edition✨ of 5 Underrated™, I went with typical superpowers, magic-based urban fantasy, and everything in between! Whether you want cool fights, super powered shenanigans, wholesome queerness (yep, they're all queer pods), magical slice of life, or all of the above, these 5 audio gems do not disappoint.
Up to date as of 13th August 2021
Desperado
Tumblr media
"Blood magic, Voodoo magic, old gods, new gods: We've got it all! Follow the story of misfits from all over the world, as they try to survive and protect their heritage from modern-day crusaders."
Desperado follows three young people, who's patrons are all death gods, on their travels through the world as they try to achieve various personal goals. Really tasty, refreshing, and unique worldbuilding and some of the absolute best banter in any show I've encountered, it's fun, it's lively without being overwhelming, it's queer, and it's incredibly more-ish. There are currently 15 episodes of 15-45 minutes each, though usually about 25-30 mins.
Desperado is on major podcasting platforms and Spotify. Transcripts are available on the website and content warnings are given at the start of each episode. You can also follow their tumblr at @desperado-podcast!
The Beacon
Tumblr media
"After surviving a dangerous encounter with a monster, Bee discovers she has the magical ability to control fire. Confused and with no heroic aspirations, she reaches out online to try and find others with impossible powers like hers - but finding them is only half the battle. Getting along and learning to protect everything important to them is another challenge altogether."
One of my first podcasts, and the first I found through Tumblr, The Beacon is technically the reason this account even exists. Anxious university student Bee discovers she has fire powers and starts a podcast to find other people like herself. Chaos ensues when she discovers she's not the only strange thing on campus. Slowly introduces more magic elements, the worldbuilding and lore is very tasty and holds my curiousity without feeling withholding. I really adore the characters in this one, they're all so unique, fun and memorable, with great and compelling dynamics. And of course very queer. While it is currently on hiatus, there are 24 full episodes of between 7 and 45 mins each, but usually about 25-30 mins, and 13 bonus/minisodes.
The Beacon is available on major podcasting platforms and Spotify. There don't seem to be content warnings, but transcripts of each episode are available on the website. You can also follow their tumblr at @thebeaconpodcast!
The Path Down
Tumblr media
"It’s freshman year of college. Vanessa Ortega is a telepath struggling to control her power in more ways than she realizes. Dexter Sullivan is an aspiring animator still reeling from the loss of his parents two years ago. Between Vanessa’s telepathy and Dexter’s grief, they’ll soon learn that they each have to confront their inner demons."
An adequate description on this one, The Path Down is very much a slice of life/drama where some people have powers, and this is just a normal part of everyday life, with it's own benefits and struggles. Which I a big fan of, it's always interesting to see how powers affect everyday life. It also takes an interesting look at wealth inequality, interpersonal conflict and major mental health issues, especially trauma. Sound design is neat, the story is really easy to follow, and of course, it's very queer. The Path Down has 9 episodes of 15-20 mins each, or one 2 hour 20 minute supercut!
The Path Down is available on major podcasting platforms and Spotify. It has content warnings in each episode description, and transcripts of each episode are linked there as well. You can also follow their tumblr at @thepathdown!
The Phone Booth
Tumblr media
"15 years ago, a girl named Beca Orlofsky stepped into the sky and exploded. Over the course of the following week, 99% of every living human on the planet gained a super-power. Now, podcaster Joe Pollard travels the world, interviewing people who went to sleep ordinary and woke up as something else."
This podcast is so cleanly-made and well done I'd actually initially planned to name-drop it in the intro, thinking it must already be a big name. It's not even the most listened to on this list, which, okay, they're all great, it shouldn't be a surprise, but I think it's the crispness and a slightly more mainstream feeling to it? Interviews from a world where 99% of the population has superpowers, with people from all walks of life: a firefighter, an anthropologist, musicians, a preacher, and so on. How they live, how the world changed for them with the introduction of powers, the history of the world and of them personally. Amazing emotion-packed writing, delicious worldbuilding, clean soundwork and strong but unintrusive music. The least queer on this list but not devoid of rep, either. 14 episodes of 15-35 mins each, but usually 20-25 mins.
The Phone Booth is available on major podcast platforms and Spotify. Unfortunately there do not seem to be content warnings or transcripts at this time.
VALENCE
Tumblr media
"An urban fantasy fiction podcast."
VALENCE follows Liam, an anxious young magic user (muse for short), in a world where magic is shunned and frequently suppressed with various technologies. He's got a lot of problems in his day-to-day life, but his family is one he hoped he'd never have to deal with again. Until he receives a very intriguing offer. Slow but interesting start that moves into some of the most fun character interactions I've seen in a while. Very intriguing and entertaining. Queer, lively, great cast of voices, and if you have any affection for YA fiction you should absolutely give it a shot. Season 2 has just finished, and there are currently 24 episodes of 25-30 mins each.
VALENCE is on major podcasting platforms and Spotify. It has content warnings (complete with timestamps) in each episode description, and transcripts of each episode on the website. You can also follow their tumblr at @valencepod!

How about the cult!au with a wholesome darling that treats their worshippers more like friends than anything?
Like, if Zhongli is building anything in teapot they’ll happily run over and try to lend a hand, even if it’s way too heavy, because “that’s what friends are for!”
They ask Venti if they could sing together and after a whole day of him showing them his faveourite places etc. they cuddle up to him and thank him for beeing their friend.
If Kaeya ever ends up coming home drunk they’ll be the first to make sure he has water and adherol standing by his bed the next morning. Hell they even might be the one who carried him home in the first place.
And They ask Baal for cuddles and everything and shyly come to her for fashion advice because they see her as a big sister (after the Vision hunt decree arc is over, of course)
Like, they are just really sweet and genuine and happy because all this time they wanted to be friends with their fave characters and now they have the chance to!!
they’d love you even more if it was possible! you’re just so kind, so sweet— so unlike the cruelty they faced in the time before you. the pain and the wait is worth it, however, because they’re quickly taken with your soft treatment. they might try to contradict you calling them a friend because they’re your worshippers! they are but servants forever to be at your disposal, but if it makes you happy… they don’t mind.
those who particularly get close to you because of your fluffy nature are diluc and bennett. these two just can’t help but melt every time you spend time with them. you’re a beacon of hope and happiness to them, and they vow to never let you down.
the ice around diluc’s heart thaws as you show him a kindness he’s long forgotten, one he hasn’t felt since the lost of his father. the longer he remains in your company, the comfier he gets. you’ll notice by the way he keeps you close, touching you without gloves, showing you the countless scars on his palm. he shows you every bit of himself because he genuinely believes he’s yours to love.
bennett loves how you still keep him around even when all he does is bring bad luck to wherever he is. his childhood has never been kind, filled with harsh bullies and loneliness that comes from being frowned upon by lady luck. still, you find it in yourself to embrace his form littered with bruises and scars of all kinds. you heal him this way, make him feel safe enveloped in you arms.

Bungle bee really gets presented as Good Wholesome Ship when Blake's new GF is so easily compared to her evil ex and Yang's new GF is so easily compared to her deadbeat mum... wild
It's so wild that Blake and Yang have been compared to the two abusive people that are a part of each other's stories.
Except, she isn't? Blake ran away, leaving Yang to deal with that and one arm, because she was traumatised and terrified of Adam hurting her friends like he did in Beacon. That's a good explanation and makes sense with Blake's character; we already know that Blake is a character who prefers to run away and do things on her own rather than rely on other people, no matter how willing they are to help.
Raven left because she was scared of Salem and didn't want to be part of Ozpin's war anymore, despite willingly killing the Spring Maiden to take her powers but Raven is anything but consistent. Both are dark haired, aloof women who have left Yang behind and who's absence has hurt her for a period of time.
But Blake is the Raven that came back, right? No. Blake went to Haven not to reunite with her team, who she didn't even know was there, but to stop the White Fang from attacking the Academy and to finally face Adam since Beacon. Her coming across her team, and by extension Yang, was completely by accident. Blake's arc of no longer running and going back to her team is completely botched at the end because reuniting with her team was not a conscious effort made by Blake.
She just found them at the place she was going to go anyway, and decided to stick around. No one talks about how Blake left them, and no one outside the show makes the point that Blake didn't choose this, she didn't make the effort to go back to her team and return when previously she ran, giving them the chance they wanted to be there for her.
Now, Yang is constantly being compared to Adam. They have the same temper, similar Semblances, similar connection to Blake, but Yang isn't driven by spite like Adam, so she's nothing like him, right? No. As we go further along, Yang is showing herself to be a worse and worse partner for Blake, because she lets her temper get the better of her all the time.
She's constantly snapping at people, she's constantly breaking things, she's constantly flashing her mean red eyes even when someone just makes the suggestion that she works with other people. When she's not physically with Blake, she's thinking about Blake, she's worried that Blake won't see her the same just for going on a different mission than her. They weren't even the ones to have the argument, that was Yang and Ruby.
And when they finally reunite in the manor? Blake acts like she doesn't know whether Yang wants to see her or not. She's not happy that Yang is back, safe and sound, she's standing in the background, holding her arm with her ears down, and can't even look at Yang. She's acting ashamed when there's no good reason given for Blake to be feeling this.
This relationship is so clingy and co-dependant because of moments like these. Yang acts like she can't go more than five feet away from Blake, and Blake feels like she constantly has to uphold that promise she made in V6 when that was the worst thing she could've done.
These two characters are meant to be foils to the abusive figure in their partner's life, but done in a healthy way. Yet the writers have messed up so badly that they resemble their foils more without actually subverting it.

everyone knows i gotta ask about Blake + Ilia (and if you're up for it, also Ilia + Pyrrha!) thanks :D
i knew this was coming
well i love the dynamic we're shown, Blake and Ilia obviously mean a lot to each other (it's honestly one of the most explored dynamics Blake has outside of her relationships with Yang and Adam i think) and after Ilia's back on side she pretty much has heart eyes on with Blake all the time, and their interactions are really wholesome and adorable (and god i wish Ilia had gotten to come with to Atlas, just so we could get more time with her character. i feel like we could've left Qrow behind, he wasn't really essential luggage)
i am too much on board with the Bees to go anywhere else with them, but i love their friendship
as for Ilia and Pyrrha
fantastic, wonderful
like if Ilia had left with Blake and gone to Beacon and therefore been part of the friend group, and then met world famous tournament star Pyrrha Nikos. actual amazon Pyrrha Nikos. i think she'd be a little smitten, just at a guess
like if Ilia around Blake is any indication, she'd be a little shy at first but then a friendly rapport because Pyrrha's quite nice and easy to get to know and open up to - and ultimately would've been a wholesome and adorable dynamic that i would have loved to see (and i feel like Ilia would've caught on to how Pyrrha doesn't really stand up for herself much and encourage her not to be so much of a doormat - which i feel would've been a beneficial relationship for Pyrrha)
Give me two characters in my inbox

I’m still screaming
That episode was amazing. I know that others have already made some great animated gifs, so I’m going to share some screencaps from v8 e10 “Ultimatum.”
First, can we take a moment to appreciate the cutest ball of chaos, Neopolitan? Her skipping through the ash cloud was perfect. And then we got this gem.
Tumblr media
I want this in the next table book you produce, RT. This must be the photo for Neo from now on.
Tumblr media
I laugh every time I look at it.
Next up, Blake finally gets a call into Yang. She’s been dialing this whole time, y’all! Not only has she low-key been encouraging everyone around her to call Yang, but she’s probably had her on redial. It’s a good thing those scrolls have good battery life.
Blake has been relying on her belief in Yang and their relationship this whole time, but when that whale went boom, she started biting her nails with worry and hasn’t stopped.
Tumblr media
The utter relief when the call goes through.
Tumblr media
Is that Yang’s thumb rubbing the scroll tenderly? Yang is so affectionate.
Let’s be honest. We probably wouldn’t have the Bees without Ruby and Yang’s wholesome relationship as sisters. It’s one of the most genuine relationships in the show, and I adore them. So here’s their reunion.
Tumblr media
Ruby flying tackles Yang, and Yang always manages to catch her.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ruby was worried. After Beacon, she knows that Yang isn’t indestructible.
Tumblr media
I love how much love is shown on her face.
TBH, I’m a little surprised that Yang didn’t tear up at all this episode. Maybe Jaune’s confidence lent her more emotional stability than I realized.

Part 1 Next
Woaaaah! Just wanted to take this opportunity and thank you guys for 3k followers. I never expected this support and so in gratitude I started another comic series following my love for melodramatic shoujo manga beacon bees. This ones much shorter, I don’t think it should extend more than five parts.
Dabbling in that greekfire dynamic because I’m soft for two heart throbs that would be a pretty wholesome relationship if they weren’t pining over their respective soulmates. Also because Pyrrha. Just Pyrrha.

okay this’ll probably be my last headcannon of the day but the squad playing a minecraft survival world together.
sophie gets homesick and wants to play some of the games from her childhood so she asks dex to try and get minecraft in the eleven world. he manages to get it working so she makes all of them play with her.
a good few hours into playing, this is how the squad ends up:
sophie leads everyone through the game but gets thrown off by the newer updates. however, she still ends up being a great leader and manages to kill a wither and make a beacon for the squad, which she renames ‘beacon of friendship and other stuff’. the squad turns to her for help and she feels good about being the one who knows mostly everything. (“what the hell happened to the pigmen??? why do they have crossbows and why are they shooting at me?? why are there trees here now what the hell?? this game is rigged-“).
fitz is the official miner of the group because he’s somehow really good at finding diamonds. he always gets every ore he sees and end up filling his inventory a lot with “useless ores” but in the end soemone need what he has (“i found eigth diamonds!” “dude how’d you get those already, sophie said they’re hard to get!” “they’re hard to get? i have like twenty,,,”).
biana is the resident builder and she makes the squad a really cute community house and makes herself a really cute house as well. she’s also the resident mob killer because she’s not afraid of the mobs and she’s also very good at combat and fights whatever mobs she can (“hey sophie, what’s this green hissy thing again?” “bee that’s a creeper i dunno if you wanna fight it-“ “oh well i just killed like three,”).
keefe likes to screw with everyone else whenever he gets the chance. for instance, he blew up a desert temple that the squad was looting because it was funny. he’s also lead multiple creepers to tam and let them blow them both up because he never really has his good stuff with him. he’s overall a chaotic player but hey, he has a cool house in a mountain (“you never said i wasn’t supposed to go on the pressure plate! how was i supposed to know that we all would’ve died, huh?”).
dex blows beds in the nether because he, like keefe, likes to cause chaos. he’s the first to get full netherite stuff and enchant it all because he bribes fitz into giving him diamonds. and much to no ones surprise, he’s very good at using redstone. his base is well hidden from everyone else has has a mailing system set up with linh using mine carts (“why spend hours strip mining when you can use beds?”).
linh collects animals and her and biana’s house is filled with wolves with different colored collars. she also keeps up with the animal farm and has a wheat and potato field as well. little by little, she gets more and more brave with fighting mobs until she rivals biana’s mob fighting skills. one of her greatest accomplishments is taking on a village raid by herself and winning (“this one with the yellow collar is daisy, the one with the cyan is tibbles, the one with the pink collar is-“).
tam is a wildcard. he’s good at everything but no one really keeps up with him because he’s very quiet while playing. he ends up finding the stronghold while everyone is distracted and somehow finds stuff that everyone needs and no one has. he starts a business of selling people things for diamonds and other valuables. he also spawns the wither while no ones paying attention because he wanted to bring chaos to the server since everyone was being peaceful and wholesome (“so the withers a boss? well damn. we’re screwed then. oh well,”).

I think the other anon is trying to imply that by having your comic on a website notorious for bad representation/sexism it'll be nice to have a comic that isn't that, that stands out and shows what good representation is--maybe be a leader of change on there. But I can see the hesitation in not wanting to publish a comic on a site that is like that and having your comic be associated with it
Yeah that’s also what concerns me.... But also it’s a little scary being any kind of “beacon of good representation” because I’m probably gonna mess up sometimes and Stsr might too and we could do something hurtful unintentionally and like we’re both willing to change things up (We changed Moric to being demiromamtic [said demisexual earlier, that was a typo!] because there’s harm in the idea that someone aromantic would not know what romance is and we didn’t want that to be a continued pain for people etc.) but that doesn’t mean we aren’t going to mess up.
Speaking personally, I know I’m not going to be perfect, and I know there’s a large portion of the internet that will do anything to call anyone out for any transgression no matter how small even if it’s fixed and we learn and it’s just Star and I working on this trying to chug along and make it a Thing...... We are by no means the pinnacle of knowledge. We’re still learning every day.
I know that for as hard as we try to make it have good rep and not be sexist and try to be as inclusive and good as we can, we’ll probably mess up sometimes. We unfortunately live in a very crap society and that tends to permeate stuff even when you try and be wholesome and inclusive, you know?
But knowing that webtoons has a plethora of that kind of content.... I don’t know how comfortable I am putting my work on there.
Do I try to have Starcrossed be a little honey bee in a swarm of wasps just doing our best? Or will that let people’s hopes get so high that any fault will seem like a monstrous mountain of disappointment?
I don’t want Starcrossed to be any kind of beacon... just good little stories with good characters who are doing their best and with the ultimate message that love is the only true constant that flows beside chaos.
Long ramble but uh... you can see why the Boulder is Conflicted

I just saw the comic and I loved seeing Blake and Kali going Tuna Fishing. Do you think you could write about Team Rwby's reaction to seeing that type of fishing? Just some wholesome team bonding and being amazed at their friend (maybe with a side of bees as well if you want)
Ooh. Cute!
Have some suffering Weiss and dorky Ruby to go along with the bees during their Beacon days 😁
///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
“What’s the point of fishing? Can’t we just go to the market and some fish?” Yang, Blake and Ruby all sighed in unison. Weiss was still refusing to calm down. “I’ll even pay for it.”
“Because, Weiss!” Ruby said excitedly as she sped over to where Weiss was currently pouting. “Blake wants to teach us to fish!”
“Yeah, Weiss.” Yang grinned cheekily, always happy to taunt the heiress. “Let the girl teach us to fish.”
“Who knows?!” Ruby grinned, waving her arms. “It might help us on a mission one day!”
Yang watched in horror as Ruby gestured with her fishing line, accidentally sending the hook towards her. But before it could hit Yang, a black and white blur intercepted it, landing in front of her in a crouch before standing up and walking it back to Ruby.
“Oh my gosh!” Ruby yelped as Yang watched Blake cock her hip as she handed the hook back to the younger girl. “I’m so sorry!”
“Ruby.” Blake said firmly. Yang thought that she might have to step in but then she heard Blake chuckle good naturedly and ruffle Ruby’s hair lightly. “Just be more careful, please. Always lock your line.” She said, gently showing Ruby how do so.
Ruby grinned and watched carefully, asking questions quietly and paying attention.
“Okay. Ruby’s all set. You two need any help?” Blake called over as Ruby started walking towards the lake.
“Oh please.” Weiss muttered as she stormed after Ruby. “How difficult can it be?”
“How difficult can it be?” Yang said mockingly as Blake walked up to her with a small smirk. “She’s going to regret that.”
“She is.” Blake agreed, bumping Yang’s shoulder with her own playfully. “You need any help or…?”
“Nah, I’m good.” Yang said with a confident smile. “I used to go fishing with a buddy back at Signal.”
“Oh?”
“Yup.” Yang grinned. “Used catch some big fish, too. Maybe I’ll catch one just for you.” She added with a playful wink.
Blake didn’t even bat an eyelid.
“Uh huh.” She hummed, eyes narrowed. “I’m sure you will.”
Yang narrowed her own eyes at Blake’s back she walked off, a sort of calm confidence about her.
Today was going to be fun.
///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
“Ruby Rose!”
Yang cringed from her side of the lake. Somehow, Ruby had ended up throwing a fish at Weiss, causing the poor girl to stumble and fall into the lake.
“I’m sorry!”
Yang sighed wearily. They couldn’t enjoy one quiet afternoon, could they?
“Walk it off, Schnee.” Blake called out and when Yang turned to look at her, Blake was putting bait on her hook, grin smug. “You can’t be good at everything.”
“Says you!” Ruby shouted indignantly. “You’re like a ninja! Too many skills! Save some for the rest of us!”
She watched Blake roll her eyes, smile only growing more smug. Blake was fairly confident in her own skill set and that confidence suited her.
“It is a little fishy.”
Yang giggled as she watched her partner deftly avoid the two small fish that were thrown at her from their teammates.
“Blake.” She laughed. “I don’t think they liked that one much.”
“Still got them; hook, line and sinker.” Blake quipped back cheekily as Ruby tried not to laugh. Weiss, however, was less amused as she stood in her soaked dress.
“Could you please refrain from encouraging each other, you two?” She yelled, rubbing her forehead. “I swear you give me migraines.”
“But Weiss!” Ruby piped up as she draped an arm across Weiss’s shoulders. “Blake and Yang are partners! Their meant to encourage each other.”
“Yeah, Weiss.” Yang grinned. “I’m sure Ruby would love to set you up for a joke...” three, two, one…
“If you only knew what a joke was.” Blake finished as she threw out her fishing line with a smirk.
Ruby promptly doubled over with the force of her cackles.
And Yang watched Blake, smiling softly at the happy gleam in her partner’s eyes.
///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
“Okay, the person with the smallest fish has to pay for drinks?” Ruby confirmed as everyone nodded.
Yang smirked confidently. No way was she losing this game.
“I’ll go first!” Ruby said excitedly as she held up her fish. It wasn’t very big but it wasn’t a small either. Okay. Maybe Ruby beat her. But no way would Weiss get a bigger one.
“Great job, sis.” Yang encouraged happily as Weiss grumbled indignantly.
“Yeah, that’s actually really impressive for your first fishing trip, Ruby.” Blake added, wrapping an arm around Ruby’s shoulders and lightly buttin her head against hers.
‘Aw.’ Yang thought, smiling as she watched. ‘Blake’s such a secret softy.’
“Here.” Weiss sniffed, still indignant. Her fish was smaller than Ruby’s.
“Aw, he’s so little and cute!” Ruby squealed.
“Still not too small, though. We can keep him.” Blake said thoughtfully as she turned to Yang with a smirk.
“Let’s see this huge fish you caught, Yang.”
Yang sighed. No use in keeping up pretences any longer.
“I swear I’m better than this.” She laughed awkward as she held up a fish that only just barely made the size limit.
“Wow. That’s smaller than Weiss’s.” Ruby snickered, leaning on Weiss’s shoulder, much to the other girl’s chagrin.
Blake, meanwhile, remained silent. She pulled up her fish and gave Yang a playful wink. It was a long as her forearm.
“Oh are you kidding me?!” Yang yelled, exasperated.
“Wow.” Weiss said, mildly impressed. “Nicely done.”
“Woah!” Ruby said, awed. “That’s so cool! How did you get so good?!”
“Practice.” Blake said with a smug grin before pushing a cooler into the middle of the group and opening it to reveal three other fish of similar sizes. “Figured I’d grab one for each of you so you don’t starve.”
Her confident statement was met with various voices of playful outrage.
Yang narrowed her eyes at Blake as the girl narrowly avoided being tackled by Ruby. Blake grinned and jogged over as Ruby shouted at her playfully about upstaging her leader before walking over to Weiss to examine the fish.
“I must admit Yang.” Blake quipped as she hip checked Yang playfully. “I’m a little disappointed. I was so hoping to be impressed by your master fishing skills.”
Yang scoffed, lightly whacking Blake’s shoulder with the back of her hand as the girl laughed.
“Gremlin.” She rolled her eyes at Blake’s answering giggle. “Yeah, yeah. Very funny. What drink do I owe you?”
“Hmm.” Blake hummed thoughtfully, finger pressing against her lips. “I’ve become rather fond of Sunflower Pop.”
“Got it.” Yang chuckled. “Glad I could turn you to the dark side.”
“Oh please.” Blake snorted. “There’s nothing dark about you.” She reached up to adjust a stray strand of hair away from her face.
“What? No way!” Yang argued, hands on hips. “I’m totally dangerous! Like an adventure!” She smirked down at Blake and winked. “A total bad girl!”
“First off, if you have to call yourself a “bad girl,” then you certainly are not one.” Blake snorted. “You may be an adventure, Xiao Long.” She added quietly, head tilted slightly and a lopsided smile on her face. “But I don’t think that there’s a safer place that I could be.” She gently gave Yang’s bicep a squeeze before walking back over to Ruby and Weiss and helped them pack up.
Yang watched her go and felt her heart swell. Blake continued to surprise her, each and every day.
She didn’t think that she’d ever get tired of it.
