Who Needs Another Internship

In between interning at the Festival one day a week and switching part-time jobs, I thought, “I might as well get another internship.” Especially in this industry, the more experience the better. And who needs money?

At the Festival, I met a former intern who was now working at a production company. She suggested that I intern there. So I did.

I’ve now interned in two homes. This one was the most like a frat house.

Some days there was a lot to do. Other days I spent most of my time reading articles online or writing this blog, or anything to make it look like I was working even though I wasn’t given anything to do.

I like writing script coverage. I like prepping for festivals.

One of their films opened at SXSW. I attended a premiere party.

Since it was a small office, sometimes they took us out to lunch. Lunch conversations were awkward.

I spent a lot of time trying to figure things out. Then the boss went on paternity leave, and I left.

The former intern that suggested this to me moved to LA. I saw her twice.
