So you choose not to step through the door, after all why mess with nonsense when you're already in nonsense? You check the items in your pockets, your phone you shut off to conserve power, the dog tag, key and top clink together but offer no help, and when you fiddle with the walkie-talkie you manage to get it to turn on, excitedly you call out to the void but only static responds, which is disappointing but predictable, so you put the items away and hunker down for the night, looking at the sky you can see that the stars seem strange, though you're no expert, and the moon seems to have a second smaller moon near it which looks pretty cool but is a stark reminder of how not on your own world your predicament has landed you.
In the morning you begin looking through the nearby bushes and plant life taking note of anything strange, you notice the berries you had been picking before you stepped through the door are also growing around here, they look and taste the same, and some other plants seem pretty similar to the forest from before as well, although the further away from the door you go the more unfamiliar plants you come across (of course that may just be your lack of familiarity with plants) and the few animals you have noticed are bizarre in a way that you can't explain, like the people from town, they seem almost perfectly familiar, just a little off and the noises they make have you thinking they wouldn't be able to communicate with their counterparts either, brushing aside another branch you come across a strange funnel made of metal which you pocket and what looks to be a regular whistle, you wipe it down and blow but hear nothing aside from the air going through, you consider it is either broken or maybe a dog whistle, as you go to put it away you hear something big running in your direction, before you can decide how to react a large creature storms out of the bushes and stops in the clearing before you, it's huge as a horse with paws and sharp teeth it licks as it looks around and spots you, it shakes its head again reminding you of a horse, then steps closer before turning and staring expectantly, you get the feeling it's waiting on you, impatiently, and you realize it seems to expect you to get on its back. Do you get on?
Yes.

this is such a real and infuriating issue—the fact that female athletes have actually gotten fined for wanting to wear actual clothing while competing, and not just underwear, is absurd and enraging—but i really wish people wouldn't react to it, as the linked article does twice, by turning around and making claims about a need for 'women's specific design,' as if all women were the same shape???
i mean, setting my actual gender identity aside for a moment, i'm afab with a totally endogenous hormonal situation, so from a binarist perspective on physical sex, i get shoved into the girlbox without any real hesitation—and yet i not infrequently find men's clothing a better fit than women's, because my shoulders are broader, my ribcage wider, and (of late) my waist-to-hip ratio smaller than women's clothing tends to expect; and because i find pressure on my abdomen uncomfortable, i've been very grateful to be able to ignore womenswear's turn to high-waisted pants, and stick with midrise menswear.
i could list more examples, just drawing on my own physique and the physiques of cis people i know, but i'll spare you—really my point is just, i wish we were better at the kind of feminism that reacted to gendered inequalities by making more space for individual people and individual preferences, instead of falling back into the trap that says women deserve special consideration because they're a special case. women aren't an asterisk; they're an enormous swath of the spectrum called humanity, and there's variance within that swath just as there's variance within any subset of humanity you care to define.

Anyway, what did they put in writing that makes it so viciously addictive that you keep wanting to do it even though it causes you immense suffering and inconvenience? And, more importantly, IS THERE AN ANTIDOTE

i keep laughing at the video of heavenly on supersonic where they have fans(like the wind kind not like people-fans) blowing a bunch of bits of something around the stage for the visual effect and dave is just picking the pieces out of his mouth because he’s trying to sing and they’re all blowing right into his face

One thing which genuinely bothers me is Annabeth's perception in the fandom. How she's seen as this cold, stoic, emotionless, reserved and intimidating girl. When in reality, she's a character full of love.
Annabeth, who immediately cried and felt attached to Cerberus after playing with him for a few minutes because she wouldn't get to play with him again.
Annabeth, whose deepest desire, which the Sirens lured her with, is saving Luke and having a good relationship with both her parents.
Annabeth, who believed in Luke's goodness, even after all the countless terrible things he did simply because she had faith in his humanity.
Annabeth, who cried in Percy's arms before entering the labyrinth and refused to reveal the last line of the prophecy because it said to lose a love worse than death and the idea of losing any of her friends is too painful, heartbreaking and worse than dying.
Annabeth, who kissed Percy before parting with him in St. Helens because if he's going to die, she at least wants him to die knowing she loved him.
Annabeth, who took a poisoned knife for Percy during the war because she'd rather die herself than let him die.
Annabeth, who convinced Luke to switch sides by reminding him of the promise of family he gave her. Which in turn, influenced Luke's decision to end himself to destroy Kronos. Hello, she saved the world with the power of love.
Annabeth, who spent months after months losing sleep and searching desperately for Percy when he went missing.
Annabeth, who kissed Percy to eternity in public at their reunion, not caring what anyone is going to say or think. An asteroid could've hit the earth, and she wouldn't have cared.
Annabeth, who told Percy “I love you” when falling in Tartarus because if she was going to die, she wanted them to be her last words.
Annabeth Chase is a sweetheart, who has always felt things deeply and she's so full of love. And I think it's time we let go of the “cold-hearted annabeth” headcanon because it's not true, that's not her.
