Feeling very morbid and thinking about how my boys and Axil deal with death and their thoughts on it

Axil: Though she lives in the lower levels of Coruscant, she's not afraid of death should it come for her. She's in the "safest" place to be. After all, death is a part of life.

Hope: More scared of those around him dying before he can get to them or them dying while he's trying his hardest to keep them alive than his own life/health.

Rain: Resigned at the knowledge that he's been created to die for those who don't see him more than cannon fodder, for Jedi who lead them. If his death comes, so be it. However, there is a inkling of fear of dying and leaving Hope on his own to deal with it.

Laughter: Escaped the clutches of death once, doesn't care if he dies anymore. Even if his life is a little brighter with Axil and his brother's in it and he's no longer fighting under the command of the Jedi.

Bruiser: Despite fighting under the command and care of General Plo Koon and seen as this obnoxious, wild brat, he's fucking terrified of dying, dying alone and the thought no one will come for him should he get trapped or captured by Separatists.

Ten-Four: After a traumatic event involving a senator, that had left the captain temporarily mute, Ten-Four is self-destructive. Welcoming anything that hurts them to do so. If it hurts them, good. If it kills them, even better. After all, in their mind, its what they deserve.

Lock: It's something he shies away from. Knows it's part of being a clone trooper and even on Coruscant, the chances of him dying are just as likely as those who are off world. He'd rather not discuss such depressing topics and keep the mood upbeat if he can. Sadly, he ends up experiencing death itself as he is betrayed by his own commander by being thrown off the roof of a tower block.

Mal: Knows it exists. Knows he has not been able to save every trooper who he gets to and he deals with each loss poorly - keeps the emotions inside until they burst out in full-rage when he's in fights against Bruiser. He doesn't want to think about death. Doesn't want to even talk about it. If it's not talk about him doing him job, then flat out refuses to discuss the topic.

Sketched out a little thing a while back about Remy and Chromos's toxic-avoidant mind prisons. Chromos compulsively makes himself unhospitable as a defense mechanism—"If I show weakness or trust too easily, I'll be taken advantage of," thus the barbed wires. (Notice how his own defense mechanism is also clearly hurting him, lol). Remy is a bit less aggressive about it, but also a lot more discreet; you think you know him, you think you're close to him, but you really don't. Thus the mist, and the fact that he's melting behind the mask. Anyway these two totally trauma-bonded!

TTSBC takes place in a modern/slightly sci-fi AU with superheroes, biotech, secrets to hide, trauma to unpack, and as much humor as I can attempt to fit in as well!

Features the local superheroes crushing on each other, anxious writer meets intrepid reporter, the drama professors who can't keep their hands to themselves, penpals gone wild, resident middle-aged married couple who happen to be a mobster and a mad genius, the local cottagecore lesbians, bad boy butterfly and cat lady, protective big sister, Zom-Mom and Sentient Glowstick, a very tired Guy-in-the-Chair with a permanent headache, and more yet to be added! My dark fantasy AU! This one has some heavy themes going on, so I'd encourage reading the tags carefully before jumping in! I'm very proud of how it is turning out, dealing with breaking out conditioned headspaces, survival in a sick system, negotiating power imbalance, the power of friendship (no, really), and of course we've got elves, mercenaries, magic, swords, sorcery, rogues, redstone, and lots more fun stuff like that! As far as rules go...I do not write NSFW. I just recently watched all of mlc and the blood of youth within two weeks and I've also already watched the untamed, woh, and who rules the world so I'm kind of feeling very scared that I've run out of cdramas that can make me feel insane with beautiful visuals, found family, whump, cool fight scenes, and hopefully a healthy dose of homoeroticism. please if you know of any other shows that will feed this monster in me could you recommend some

wow anon you've been busy 👀 there's a few more dramas i can think of you might like as well. they don't all hit every point but are close enough i think!!

-> The Yin-Yang Master: Dream of Eternity it's not a cdrama but a movie but it hits all your points - gorgeous visuals, fantastic fight scenes and whump! pretty much the only movie in existence i regularly rewatch at this point 😂

-> Heroes (2022) incredible fight scenes, found family galore and also an insane amount of gay chemistry. zeng shunxi has a skill for getting involved in polycules 🤔 (which reminds me, i still need to finish watching this but it felt wrong to not include it considering it fits to a tee)

-> Nirvana In Fire i don't post about this nearly enough but it's one of my all time favorite, if not all time favorite cdramas. not super heavy on the action and more focussed on political intrigue but [clenches fist] it's so good trust me. fantastic story and characters!

-> A Journey to Love (het romance) murderer x murderer, plenty of found family, it's hilarious but also knows how to rip out your heart and shred it into pieces

-> Love Between Fairy and Devil (het romance) breathtaking visuals, clownery, whump and it has my favorite loyal dragon boy shangque

-> Guardian if you don't mind modern cdramas and low budget, this hits pretty much all the other points. it's based on a danmei novel by priest so homoeroticism guaranteed

pushed himself to perform in the rain despite his health, collapses backstage afterward from an attack, wakes up in a hospital (never disclosed what exactly he has, but it’s just assumed that it’s asthma or some other respiratory disorder)

SEASON TWO: “SECOND BEAT”

panting hard backstage after performing and tries to force himself to do an encore for the fans, harsh coughing and refuses to take nebulizer, is restrained and is forced to take the nebulizer despite pleading to the others to let him continue performing

4:53-7:00 - episode 3

is still coughing (it is mentioned that he is gonna spend the night at the hospital instead of going to the dorms with the others, but that is not actually shown in the episode itself), recovering at the dorms (not shown in this video), gets called out by tenn for his “terrible” performance, starts breathing heavily, cannot continue the performance and tenn ends up taking his place, gets very depressed and sounds like he’s going to cry

7:01-8:07 - episode 5

riku and tenn get into an argument, riku angst galore, starts coughing and breathing hard (having an attack) mid conversation

8:08-8:47 - episode 6

reads comments on social media talking about how iori should replace riku permanently as the center of the group, starts panicking and breathing hard/coughing

note: until episode 11, there’s small snip-its of riku being sad or lost in thought because of iori having to take his place because of his health and since then, their sales have increased for their latest song, so yea... riku is very depressed about the fans liking iori more than riku as the center

SEASON THREE: “THIRD BEAT PT1”

8:48-9:58 - episode 2

men wearing heavy cologne bump into riku and he starts to have an attack, touma carries him on his back and takes him somewhere where he can take his medicine

I CANNOT EMPHASIZE THIS ENOUGH, BUT NANASE RIKU IS TRULY AN S-TIER WHUMPEE, LIKE- AHHHHHHH

there’s some more angst and whump waiting for riku in part 2 of season 3 (whenever it comes out) if my memory is correct, but I’m just gonna have to wait and see because I do know certain moments that occurred that got me screaming for his red-headed precious bean, but I don’t remember if that was in part 3 or part 4 of the game, oh well.

honestly cannot wait for season 4, because I know for certain that this kid is gonna be in northern europe, and that cold, dry air made it almost impossible for ya boi to walk outside and not have everyone be so concerned for him for like 10 minutes.

Superbat Fic Recs

every superbat fic ive ever read has been recommended to me, almost, bc the superbat tag scares the absolute piss out of me, so these are like. twice over recommended. i dont believe that theres such a thing as "in character" when it comes to bruce or clark bc theyve been characterized so many different ways, so i tend to rate how good superbat fics are entirely by how delightful they are to read (plot, writing style, fun dynamic, etc). that said here are some of the superbat fics that i find the most delightful

i love this one. its long but its got so many good beats- good plot, fun dialogue, fantastic levels of identity porn where you are just DYING for them to figure it out. i think a lot of superbat fics tend to prioritize batman and his family and cast too much, but this ones definitely about superman, which is a nice change of pace

speaking of synderverse. this ones also a lot of fun! its a lot of bruce being antagonistic in the beginning and clark being a total golden retriever, which is pretty on beat for the enemies to lovers type dynamic that i always see in synderverse fics.
