this might sound a bit dumb and out of no where but hmmm. how do i say this... there are a lot of posts and a general consensus about quote unquote media literacy on tumblr and how we feel about it, as well as the things that go hand in hand with all that (discussion of mischaracterisation, symbolism, analysis, etc) and i think people (generally) need to be more open about their thoughts or findings and less i don't know... harsh isn't the word but like, just less assumptive that people are inherently out to be willfully ignorant when it comes to dissecting media thematically or discussing characterisation & the narrative, esp things where the outside factor of the consumer/creator changes things drastically if you do or do not know or experience something (and therefore would have no reason to be like, somehow maliciously interpreting something). i guess?

like i get it and i absolutely understand and also hate when people seem to go out of their way to say all the wrong things and stubbornly cling onto things that are WRONG, and confronting someone's opinion and it being SO wrong that you can comfortably think of a rebuttal is ultimately very satisfying and scratches a certain itch and can lead to a lot of thoughtful discussion despite being essentially a big "get a look at THIS guy". but i do think there is a vast difference between like, a) someone masquerading behind being knowing buzzwords and being able to say the right words in the right order, b) someone who isn't familiar with certain concepts and DOESN'T know the right words to say but is happily open to learning, and c) someone using the guise of talking about "media literacy" to be ignorant, bigoted or willfully misinterpreting something in a biased way who refuses to concede if confronted or goes out of their way to pick arguments. whilst the first two aren't malicious, both could turn out to be, just like the last category tends to be rejects of the first two who dug their heels in about it.

whilst there is a DIFFERENCE if someone was being say bigoted and prejudiced with hateful intent, not being "media literate" is not actually a moral failing as much as it is made out to be in moments of sweeping generalisation, and i think punishing people for not knowing how to hold thoughtful discussion is obviously cruel and dumb and unnecessarily othering. you don't want people to learn things out of a sense of shame or guilt. i know it's not the INTENT, and i don't like, interpret even 99% of discussion about this whole thing that way, but that doesn't change that discussing people very broadly who just Don't Know something is always going to leave the 1% of a LOT of harshness thrown against someone who doesn't deserve that. even if they're the stupidest twitterina known to man or something.

media literacy itself is not inherent and it is HARD, as much as people try to pretend it isn't. personally i am someone who has always and probably always WILL struggle to understand complex themes and often do need someone else to guide me towards thinking a certain way, thinking in these ways don't come naturally to me as much as i try my best to and i often think the "wrong" thing as my natural conclusion. and every Damn time that happens i see someone going "if you didn't realise this you're a fucking idiot" like woah man 😭 calm down. i dunno i feel like people just forget that this stuff is something you have to train like a muscle, esp things like vocabulary or a more complex academic way of speaking, and to some of us that is always going to be inherently inaccessible or it's going to take twice as long for us to grasp, for whatever reason. i just wish people were more fair is all.

i'm a huge huge huge sucker for platonic friendships and i think the biggest personal attack winx club canon has made on ME, vy lynpheas, is that they never really develop... platonic winx and specialist relationships ☹️ i haven't seen s1-3 in a long while but i just rewatched s4 and i'm wracking my brain trying to remember any platonic interactions between the winx and their non-boyfriend specialists. & i got nothing. when there was a 30 second interaction in s5 between sky and flora right before sky got amnesia, my 12 year old self thought about it for months i swear 😭

so i'm just gonna throw out a bunch of fun random pairings i like and how i think their friendship would work because my basic assumption is that EVERYONE is friends with EVERYONE because i want them to be!!!

(also i wrote most of this in oct 2023 and forgot about it but if anyone wants to ask me abt any more platonic pairings i would be so so so down 😭😭)

tecna & riven

okay this dynamic i have a lot of fun thinking about just bc tecna is musa's roommate so she deals with riven on a diff level than the other girls

i think esp early tecna would tend to make snap judgments of people & she immediately thinks riven is like. rude and immature and so everything he does after that point is framed through that lens. & i think riven is primarily motivated by his emotions (at least in terms of his interpersonal relationships) and tecna who is more "logic" based so she doesn't really understand why he acts the way he does. (i put logic in quotes because i do think tecna is biased toward her feelings when it comes to interpersonal relationships, but she sorta confirmation biases herself into thinking her judgment is more factual) & so i think their relationship begins as being vaguely antagonistic/indifferent (ie tecna making snarky comments to the side and riven being like. offended but kinda writing it off by acting like he just doesn't care about tecna), especially because she doesn't see why musa would like such a jerk and thinks musa deserves better.

then i think because of proximity and just facing a lot of mortally perilous conflict together, tecna begins to respect/sympathize with riven a lot more as a strategist because riven is actually like. pretty contemplative about his next moves, and she sees how his abrasive personality obfuscates that and leads to the specialist squad initially just. bulldozing over his ideas bc they're like "oh riven's just an asshole all the time let's go with sky's plan." and i think riven begins to really appreciate and respect tecna's tactical skills but also be slightly envious of how the winx do rely on tecna and trust her judgment. and he tries to learn from her approach: more levelheaded suggestions rather than condescending/combative remarks to express his ideas.

& i think riven's really good friends with timmy (they might be roommates in s1? i don't know if i made that up tho) so when tecna starts showing up more often & he can tell she's very important to timmy, riven makes an effort to be less rude and standoffish toward her, although still awkward. i think this is what especially shatters tecna's preconceptions about riven bc besides her relationship with timmy, he doesn't have any real reason to make nice with her -- especially after she's been pretty rude to him about him and musa.

and then they become pretty decent friends! maybe not super emotionally intimate, but they like, advocate for each other. tecna really utilizes riven's skillsets in her plans and makes sure he isn't overlooked & riven gets more protective over tecna bc he's like. this girl is smart and capable. and even when they don't always see eye-to-eye, she's very kind in her own non-traditional way.

musa & timmy

between riven and tecna, musa sees a Lot of timmy. i think as riven and tecna stop being as icy with one another, the four of them hang out as a group a lot. musa can kinda be the odd one out at times, because tecna and timmy can technobabble together a lot but if they veer into. hovercrafts or battle strategy riven and tecna can get Really into it with each other bc they agree on enough to not argue but have enough strong contrasting opinions to have very spirited conversations. so musa can kinda sit back and watch as timmy gets ousted from the convo and they have solidarity in that LMAO

they're both very chill and timmy is just. super curious about all of musa's hobbies and interests bc he doesn't know Anything abt music or anything. & i feel like timmy is an edm/techno/trap kinda guy & i hc that musa freelance djs at clubs and parties. so timmy is like fascinated by the mechanics of all of that and musa loves talking about music in any capacity so they reach common ground through that. and in turn musa gets interested in like, hovercraft mechanic convos and videogame lore that also helps musa better connect with riven and tecna!!

& i think these conversations evolve into. timmy tagging along with musa to raves LOL like they party it UP together!!! like timmy is pretty self-conscious and awkward at first, but musa really shows him that dancing/enjoying music isn't about how you look or acting cool -- it's just about having fun. and it really brings him out of his shell. timmy's got his white boy dance moves!!! riven goes to musa's shows sometimes but edm gives him a headache and most of the girls like to party but they're not into the subculture at all so they're not consistent participants. but timmy is a yes-man! he always wants to come!

& timmy and musa get fairly close because of this! timmy is such a huge hype man and occasional technician for musa and musa knows she can always rely on timmy to show up for her! and they just learn a lot from each other!

plus because they're both close with the other's respective partners, they like to go to the other for relationship advice because they'll get some unique insight into the problems they're facing. timmy is a huge riven-is-just-misunderstood advocate and musa knows tecna's ins and outs.

musa & timmy besties agenda <3 like i really really just love the idea of their friendship

aisha & riven

this is the only non-romantically involved winx/specialist combo i had actual recollection of interacting before i did my rewatch tbh. or i guess also riven and bloom. riven is just a very notable character LMFAO

anyways, aisha is hyper-independent and riven is prickly and easy to misjudge so. aisha doesn't fuck with him very much at first BUT when she comes into the winx's life she didn't firsthand experience riven double-crossing them w the trix. so she's an asshole to him for like. "i think you're kind of a loser and i don't like men that much in general" reasons instead of "you have personally wronged me" reasons. she challenges him to petty stuff because she likes poking the bear and she finds it kind of entertaining to see him get annoyed and want to prove himself for the sake of his ego, but eventually she just starts genuinely thinking that riven's a pretty decent guy. like, he never tries to undermine her for her skills, he just wants to match and surpass her. and he simultaneously respects her authority but also respects her enough to disagree with her and involve her in certain decisions, where she's used to having to put her foot down to assert herself.

at first riven really just. does not care that there's a new winx girl bc besides musa and maybe bloom they're all kinda the same to him. but then aisha is just kinda mean to him and temporarily hogs his hoverbike so he starts actively disliking her but underneath it all begrudgingly respects her. THEN he finds out she and musa are getting really close and she's actually a princess and he sees her put sky in his place over smth that wouldve irritated the fuck out of riven privately -- and he just starts to really like and respect her.

at first, aisha just likes to aggravate riven bc she initially thinks he's kind of standoffish and takes himself too seriously. so they'll be walking with the group and she'll all of a sudden be like "bet i can reach that tree faster than you" and riven's like "what are you talking about" "so you know you're gonna lose?" "uh, fuck no, you're on" and suddenly they're sprinting past everyone else and leaving them in the dust. but aisha tends to win these little competitions and eventually after she starts genuinely liking riven, she gets bored of trying to get a rise out of him. but riven still thinks she's cool asf and wants her to realize that he's actually Not A Loser so he's the one that ends up instigating more often.

their friendship is mostly characterized by them just. egging each other on. bet you can't do more hoverboard tricks than me. bet you can't do a backflip on the spot. bet you can't tell musa you haven't listened to her mixtape yet. bet you can't let stella give you a makeover. bet you can't swing from that vine across that canyon. holy shit riven ur lucky i have wings otherwise you would've died. nah i knew i could trust you.

like honestly riven is basically just aisha and tecna's kid brother. with aisha specifically he just rly wants to prove himself to her lmfao. little does he know, aisha already thinks he's cool but she will never ever ever tell him that.

stella & sky

so canonically stella has probably never met sky before red fountain in order to be able to pull off the whole name-switch situation, but i think it'd be fun if they had at least some awareness of each other before going to school from being the royals of their respective realms. like you can't tell me they've never attended the princess balls of some realm that's mutually allied with eraklyon and solaria! if anything, as his squire, brandon and sky must've always attended events together and been so close/tight-knit that a lot of people weren't exactly sure who was who, just that the duo themselves were sky and his squire. (because sky also barely looks like his parents lmfao)

i like to think that stella is extremely put off by sky for multiple reasons, including that he ultimately fucked up her relationship and completely broke bloom's trust. and pettily she sorta vows to make sure solaria and eraklyon never have good relations ever again. sky's like. well, can't let that happen + i need to be on stella's good side for the sake of brandon/bloom

and i think this results in him just like !! slowly trying to initiate a relationship with stella, like if he agrees with her about something he'll go out of his way to make it known he agrees with her. and just making comments and stuff to get on her good side

and stella sees right thru this lmfao she's like ok... i see your game... and i don't respect it... but she fully just leans into it and if sky is saying some kind of affirmative to an outrageous idea she has she's just like ok bet. put your money where your mouth is

which is how sky ends up in a lot of ridiculous situations because of stella like maybe during a mission stella suggests going down a path everyone else is hesitant about, and sky is also hesitant but he doesn't necessarily DISagree with her so he loudly corroborates her plan and then. it's just the two of them who get sent down that path and then get fucking eaten by a venus flytrap monster or smth idk. or sky ends up being stella's mannequin for like 12 hours straight while she figures out draping. or he ends up accompanying her to a stuffy ball where everyone around her is condescending her

and then eventually they'll just have more and more moments where they're spending time together like one on one and theyre like???? hey we actually do have a lot in common because of our upbringings and we can give each other diff perspectives about how to deal with the expectations that were imposed on us growing up

like stella has reacted to being in the spotlight as a princess by being aggressively and unapologetically herself. shes not afraid of fucking up but shes like inifinitely empathetic and kindhearted. sky is kinda the opposite where he's always tried to mold himself into expectations and really lean into this idea of being a leader-prince charming type guy. and basically they teach each other how to Be A Royal in a way that allows them to be their truest selves. like sky helps stella figure out how to use Royalty Etiquette and Rules to get her way and stella helps sky figure out how to let loose and not be so bogged down by duty all the time

I’m really not sure how to word this so I’ll just do it, I don’t think the way you handled the Caligator comic was inppropriate.

They obviously made a HUGE stupid mistake but that doesn’t mean you get to call them stupid and blatantly call them out when it’s not your art? Like the if the artist wanted to say something, don’t you think they would have?? You coming and immediately saying “how stupid do you have to be” there’s no reason to assume someone’s intelligence ever over the internet? Like you have no idea what people are going through IRL so there’s no need to come in guns a blazing with hateful comments.

The majority of people seem to know this etiquette including myself but I didn’t always. And I wish people gave more grace and understanding to people who truly may just not know.. and it seemed like you came off very abrasive and condescending which just seemed unnecessary on top of the art work not even being yours that your defending. You and Apple (which why were they even IN the convo??) immediately making VERY rude and unnecessary comments was kinda a shock. If you truly had something to say, you could’ve gone into that person’s inbox, or privately messaged them. Not blast them on Tumblr.

It's not "much too simple to say", i was just trying to give you information without the history lesson. It's not too easy because that's exactly what it was, there's documentation proving that completely outside of Greek mythology because Romans took everything from currency to art to poems. i tagged my post with "pagan" to get a wider reach to hopefully find more community here, not because i'm pagan. i didn't intend to seem rude when i said i was polytheist, if i did, i was just replying that i am not pagan.

romans were very interested in hellenic culture, that is true. but that doesn't mean they "stole" everything and simply rewrote the myths with some ulterior motive to demonize the grecian religion. religious syncretism happens at the wide scale, with leaders and violence, and imperialism. this was absolutely a factor in how religion spread, as with many things all across history.

religious syncretism also happens through the voluntary sharing of culture, art, and faith at the smaller scale through time. this is what happens when people interact with other people. there are plenty of examples of faith being shared across cultures, and though this has a bloody and violent history, it also has a history of humans being humans. humans wanting to share, even in the worst circumstances.

most things in the world have a bloody and violent history (including ancient greek culture, that you seem to hold so high on a pedestal as being better than the romans), and i can recognize that and still find the humanity within it.

and, i syncretize many aspects of the pantheons and faiths, but that doesn't just mean mashing them together. no, i do not think the greek and roman religions were the same and were even comparable in most aspects. i'm taking care to be respectful in anything i do, and that's between me and the gods.

obviously i don't study this as you claim to, but i try. you're being very condescending, even in your last ask you sent.

if you believe that modern people can practice in modern ways, in very different ways to the ancients and with different cultural understandings of the faith and the gods, then why can i not practice a syncretic form of worship? my worship is absolutely modernized, but syncretism of many ancient faiths is historically attested either way. just look at the pgm, look at isis, at serapis. bacchus.

look, i'm very tired. i don't want to continue this, because it doesn't seem like you are really interested in "being nice," just that you want things done your way and that's it.

Anyone who says that writing kid's books is "easy", or is condescending, like one day you're going to graduate and write REAL books, is either ignorant, or a terrible snob, or both.

If somebody is coming to you in a spirit of honest curiosity and kindness, like they just genuinely want to know why you write for kids, or whatever -- great, answer in that same spirit. If somebody is coming to you rudely, you don't have to answer them rudely -- but you don't have to engage with that kind of talk at all. Like, you can just shrug it off, literally.

You're at a cocktail party:

Them: "Writing books for kids? Sounds easy!"

You: *shrug and smile, with a little tilt to your head, as if to say, aren't you a darling, ridiculous goose - then lean in conspiratorially and say* - "you might be surprised!" - *wink and dazzling smile - wait one half beat, then look over their shoulder as if you see somebody more interesting* - "Oop, I've got to mingle, lovely meeting you!"

You're talking to a parent at your kid's school:

Them: "Oh that's fun that you write for kids. When will you write a real book?"

You: *with a bemused laugh* "Kids are a better audience than adults." *lean in a little like you are telling a secret* "Most adults don't read AT ALL, unfortunately" - *normal voice again change subject entirely as if you didn't just call them out because what have they even READ lately, let alone written!*

ADJUST AS APPROPRIATE, I'm just saying, it's really not your job to convince them that something they don't care about is important -- they should not be jerks to you REGARDLESS of what you do for a living, and to get lured in to some kind of argument where you are defending your life choices or whatever is just going to make you feel worse and make them feel smug.

Take the high road. They are ridiculous / rude / ignorant / a snob - you are royalty, graciously allowing them to say their silly things, and then promptly changing the subject so they don't look like fools. Nice of you, really. If they want to keep bringing it up, or insist / argue about it, that's them being out of bounds, and you can get a touch more salty. "Are you rude to other people about their professions, or is it just me?"

Ugh, Carla.

Carla divorced Beau which means that he's not obligated to tell her anything or practice his "communication skills" with her 🙄 The entitlement is real. Truly canNOT stand this woman, she's so mean and passive aggressive and dismissive towards Beau, as well as condescending and rude towards Jenny 😒 She really came in and insulted both my favourite people in the span of one and a half minute, oh, and yeah, remember when she broke Beau's whole heart? And continues to make him feel small and sad? Yeah, to say I don't like her is an understatement.

Jenny defending Beau against Carla was such a nice moment, and just another reason she's the best, and why her and Beau are the perfect match. She actually cares about him, respects and understands him. Next time Carla is being rude and mean, I hope she doesn't care about being polite and wipes the floor with Carla. Would also love to see her about to punch her, and then Beau holds her back, because he can't have his undersheriff getting charged and we get another unintentionally intimate moment, before he cheekily thanks her for defending his honour 💅🏻💖

They are my, er, second "one" true pairing (after Jenny/Beau, of course). I really wasn't expecting to ship someone with Cassie this soon after Lindor after they broke up right after getting together after a one and a half season long burn, but I am rooting for these two for sure 👌🏻

Am I finding myself shipping Tonya and Donno or......? I mean, I could definitely be okay with them just being friends and partners, but...... I don't know, it could be tipped over to romance very easily 👀

Beau fighting to protect himself versus Beau after the creep attacked Jenny, he was much more intense during the latter, I love the increased intensity and drive. He really said no one touches my girl 😡 and I love that 💖💕💫

Every time she thinks Beau got hurt, Jenny gets so worried, everything else loses focus. She rushed to him, completely forgetting the suspect, and if that's not love... 💕 and how gentle she is checking his wound, touching it so gingerly 🥺 True loveism 💝💖

It's so perfect how in sync they are, Beau knew he could count on Jenny to know why he'd turned her around, and Jenny trusted him and instinctually knew why, she realized exactly what he was doing. And him, physically having her back, holding her steady 🥺💝 Plus, the way it ended with them holding on to each other 💯 They're so sexy for that 🔥💕

There's also a moment where it looks like Beau might've been reaching for Jenny's hand, so maybe one of the takes had them shooting together and I'd love to see that outtake, though I do love how it actually played out, with complete trust and them in sync 🥺

I also love how they just stay in this position just a minute longer than necessary, letting themselves be support for the other, letting themselves take comfort from the other, just breathing together for a moment 🥺💟

Also, is it just me or did Jenny just absolutely melt back into Beau once they both knew the danger was averted? 🥺💖 I love the trust they have. And the 💫 tension 💫

And this moment when they're both still breathless, and Beau feels the intimacy of the situation and Jenny just leans back into him, when he's finally looking at her, I think he's realizing he's fallen for her, irrevocably 🥺💕

I just, I love this scene a lot. And I really love that the scene is so warm and wholesome with their trust and teamwork, but also really hot and has a lot of tension! It's everything to me, and I just love how it was written and played so well, such a perfect balance of emotional vulnerability and display of feelings, and physical tension 🥺💖

The Hospital Scene.

Jenny reassuring Beau about how good of a dad he is 🥺 He deserves to be around people who appreciate and respect him so much 💛

The more episodes go by without Beau calling her "Jenny" and only "Hoyt", even though he called her Jenny during the premiere, the more I become convinced that he's already in love, but denying it to himself (until he just can't 👀). Although, he didn't call her Hoyt after the fight scene, might that be more evidence my man's catching on to how he feels about Jenny.....? 🥺👀

Beau really is the whole package. Kind, funny, handsome, caring & THIS good at his job? His instincts about the murder not being random were right, and when he was looking at the photos, his gut knew it was important, even when he didn't have all the pieces to know why 🏆💯🥰❤

hi anon, I can see why you think that! but they had sent me 4 asks before that, which felt a little more condescending than the one I answered. so even if they were joking, I found it quite rude. Writing my fics take me atleast 7-8 hours to a few days, so I really didn't appreciate them rushing me. He did come across very condescending, you’re right! Everything he said just came out so wrong 🥴 I think he just rolled with it, making all these assumptions because he was blindsided by the news, and it didn’t add up with what he knew about his daughter. In turn, it made it seem to Oc that he didn’t know or understand her at all. Oc and Seokjin’s happy bubble definitely got popped 😭

Taehyung will appear in season 3 briefly! He was supposed to in season 2 but I changed things up a bit. It won’t be very important to the story, I just wanted to write him into it. He has played an important role in her life, despite not being in it for nearly 6/7 years, so I want to bring her some final closure!

I think because of her father’s reaction, it would be very easy for Oc and Jin’s relationship to take two steps back (possibly more lol) BUT they have come a long way from season 1. Beneath you, the city breathes in neon and exhales exhaustion. 

“Abdul,” Marcus says from inside, distant, as though pondering something. “Take a walk.”

You weren’t quite brave enough to slam the door in his face, but maybe you should have. Then you wouldn’t have had the swoop in your gut to turn and find him watching you, his eyes blank, assessing. Your stomach flips when his jaw ticks, ever so slightly. 

“Is that how you speak to me?” Marcus asks. 

Anger flickers to life in you again. You feel like a child. “I’ll speak to you how I want.”

“Oh really?” He seems pleasantly interested, marginally so. He looks down and begins to peel off his black leather gloves, one at a time. A thick desire begins to make your mouth water, your legs woozy. “Well, come on.”

“Come on what?”

“Speak to me like you want. You want to be rude? You want to be a brat? Let’s hear it, baby.”

“I’m not being a fucking brat,” you spit. “You’re being a condescending asshole. I wanted to help. I was going to, but you stopped me. Why the fuck did you stop me?”

“Because, sweetheart, I can’t protect you when you’re being selfless and impulsive.”

“I want to go home,” you snap next. “Take my torque off.”

The air fizzles out between you. The wind plays with your hair, your bare skin, making you shiver.

You want… to scream. You actually stomp your boot on the concrete. “No!” you yell. His eyes pop. “Excuse me?”

Your back slams against the brick wall of the balcony before the thought completes in your head, and you suck in a ragged breath of air. He didn’t even bother with his powers. His fingers are thick and held tight about your throat instead, his eyes dark, his teeth bared. There’s a perfect control in his fingers that in no way matches the glint in his pupils.

“You think,” he breathes, “You’re hot shit today, don’t you?”

“Just admit I’m a wet hole for you to fuck and let me go,” you snarl. 

You think, for a second, you see a flash of something pained, a wounded animal. And then his fingers squeeze your throat, his expression cold. He watches your pupils dilate and scowls. 

“Yeah? This is how you want to be? A little brat? You’re getting wet right now, aren’t you?” He gives you a little shake and your legs quiver. “If I look under this dress are you gonna be dripping for me?”

It’s true someone might. Not even psychologists and other experts in the human psyche can predict who is and isn’t going to act out on fiction, and why or how. And in fact, if you think fiction condones something, then that says more about you than the fiction itself. It tells me about your upbringing, culture, beliefs and such.

i literally cannot with my wench of a math teacher. and she cant with me either so at least thats mutual but she seriously has issues... she has a superiority complex/power complex idk which is the right term to describe it, but she takes advantage of every single aspect of power she has. she has the power to give us detention, so she does so whenever you dont complete homework or get any of the problems wrong. she uses her power over of us students to her advantage to talk to us however she wants. shes condescending and talks to us like we are still five years old. she can be pretty manipulative as well. im not exactly sure if thats the right word to use, but she will be yelling her lungs out one moment, or just give off a bitchy attitude, and the next moment she'll compliment you on something. but no matter what, she is always giving us fake positivity. idk how it came up, but today i heard her say "it doesnt matter where you go to school, you can get a good education from anywhere as long as you pay attention and do what you're told" BYEE WHAT 💀💀 i just dont believe in being obedient so of course i have lots of problems with school already. hearing that "advice" she was giving just made me so angry, and i still am obviously since its been at least five hours and im still thinking about it. but thats exactly what she wants us to do. she wants us to bow down to her and clean her fucking shoes with our tongues without questioning it and teach it as "respect". today in class this guy "talked back" to her and she was like "do you talk to your mommy like that" and the guy responded, "yea". in response, she said "youre so lucky you arent my kid". and that entire conversation was just so uncalled for ??? shes fucking awful to her own elementary school aged children as well. berating your kid for the most stupidest shit like "messy handwriting" has got to be some form of psychological abuse because what the actual fuck. making your kids take math tests every damn day is pretty weird too. like damn. just let them be kids. idk what kids do these days anymore but just let them be. idek why she tells us these stories either. they have absolutely no significance and are just irrelevant. listening to her talk about teaching her kids how to obey to her just reminds me of my piece of shit father. anyways, i think the worse thing ive seen her do was ealier today during the beginning of class when she started touching a girls braids. she was just holding them in her hands and asking odd questions, and my eyes were wide open in shock and under my mask, my jaw was dropped. the girl looked over at me, and clearly looked over uncomfortable. i felt horrible. you just shouldnt be touching anyones hair in general, but i know that many people with afro textured hair feel uncomfortable when others touch their hair. it was just really rude of her to do that. anyways, i want to swtich out of her class so badly but im too scared to talk to my counselor about this. its hilarious how ive only heard bad things about her, but there isnt really anything good to say about her unless your her teachers pet or TA or whatever. one of my friends is a TA for her, and my friend did not have anything good to say about her either 💀 my friend told me that the teacher was trying to gossip about other students with her ??? my friend told me word for word "thats embarrassing". because it is. what fucking grown ass adult goes to gossip about a child with another child PLS...
