#why did yours had to be as soon as klee's done
Text
A/N: Okay I have been playing Genshin for quite some time now, and I'm sure my eyes are hurting like a bitch, but this is a quick idea( and also a short story of a series I'm writing) since I have been reading SAGAU and Creator!Reader works a lot!
Tumblr media
Everyone thought, just like Creator!Reader did who played Genshin for hours and built the characters, that Mondstadt would be home. With the jolly people and freedom coursing through the air, and with Venti being the Spirit of Freedom, everyone would listen at least. You were just as terrrified yet also happy and confused as anyone could be, surely they wouldn't execute you, right?
Wrong, so painfully wrong.
Instead Creator!Reader was hunted down blindlessly, who only entered the city with a big smile but left it as soon as possible with a horrified look.
But instead... Razor and Bennett found the Creator!Reader, shivering in the cold with- Was that golden blood?
Razor, since he was raised by wolves, didn't have an exact understanding of the Creator but he listened to his family talk about Them, how they thanked Them with their howls for the food and family and shelter given to them and how they praised the Golden Blood of yours to keep flowing through your very being so that one day, you would come back to Teyvat.
Therefore he knew who you were but Bennett?
Poor boy grew up with the stories of yours! How you created new worlds where there were many different creatures, magic and every kind of ores... Or how you gifted them with many new weaponary and such, how you gave them life and what they have built so far.
How you let them live in peace through their Archon.
So, to see your body covered in Gold blood with a terrified look, their first reaction was to jump up and warm you immediately, patching up any wounds so that their Creator didn't suffer anymore.
But whatever the people must have done to you, had messed you up pretty bad because you, The Creator of All, whimpered in fear and pain, still shaking with your hands up defensively.
"P-Please don't hurt m-me... I swear I didn't mean t-to..."
So, that was how you were coddled up by these two babies while they wondered with rage coursing through them that who did this to you. They weren't stupid, since they were close to their City, they knew it was them and couldn't help but feel shame for their actions. Everyone had been expecting your arrival for quite some time, preparing feasts and what they would say to you in person and then they just...
Blinded by fake religion and ideas, tried to kill you.
How funny Teyvat was more like Earth than you ever imagined?
And they didn't even want to know what would have happened to Teyvat, how angry the Winds and the ground would be at the people for killing the Divine One.
You were still aprehensive as normal, not used to the kindness they were showing you but watching as Razor bring you a very pretty shaped stone with a happy grin and offered it as a token of friendship, you couldn't bring yourself to break his heart as one of the many wolves in his family laid around you protectively.
You asked why he was doing this, when he had no understanding of who you were, when his people were hunting you, but the only answer you got was a confused tilt of his head and a soft spoken,
"You are my lupical and I want you to be happy... They are not my people, they were wrong."
Now Bennett didn't know if he should correct Razor since he was actually talking to their Creator, warn him about not to refer to you so casually, but the big and wide smile on your face as you hugged them thightly to yourself with tears in your eyes which held the stars warmed them both so affectionately and lovingly that they knew you needed this.
You needed to have friends, not worshippers.
And as they, alongside with the Traveller, Klee, Albedo( who was glad he was pulled here by Klee and help you) and Amber who was convinced of who you were by the wounds you had and how you literally breathed life into one of the many burned and ruined forest and was horrified at learning what the Mondstadt did, healed you back and helped you hide, that was when you realized that you did a good job by loving those four and building them up as much as possible.
But those traits weren't the only ones who convinced them. It was how you saw Amber's ambition and praised her for having such a strong dedication to her job to which she bashfully thanked you and cried softly because how kind and generous you were to them even when your life was in danger.
And you didn't forget to tell Lumine to let others deal with commissions and errands, to give herself a rest, with a huge amount of Mora you really didn't know where you got from but was just inside your pouch ( since I chose her and believe the Twins need to hear this) and also about what was going on with her brother and promised to explain more in depth after you were safe to which she held your hand in her warm and calloused ones softly and answered with don't worry about us, Your Grace. Just focus on your life and that's all the gift that you can give to me.
But as much as they loved to have you here and listen to your world and jokes, they also knew you couldn't stay here for much longer. Yes, the forest was big ( and the nature seemed to be hellbent on protecting you) but they knew the Knights wouldn't stop until they got you.
What a surprise that the Crux came to the City, with a frantic Kazuha searching everywhere in the dock for what the Wind whispered to him.
"Our Creator needs help. Help them. Save them."
And that was how you started to wander the streets of Liyue with Kazuha next to you, also hellbent on protecting you especially after seeing the state you were in. The City was literally glowing, and no it wasn't because of the lanterns but you, The Divine Creator who stepped in the City which was raised and built in your name.
He knew there was a famous pharmacy named Bubu Pharmacy and the owner of it was able to heal pretty much every kind of this disease, so he took you there in hopes that the fever you had been suffering from could be solved there.
And it was.
Baizhu, as the usual self-sacrificing man he was, did everything in his power to help you. You knew how his hands were already full with both his own disease and Qiqi who quickly grew on you since she has been playing with you and telling you all about what she learnt about the herbs and the City( she couldn't explain why but she just felt so close to you, as if you were like a parent to her which her caretaker also shared kind of the same love for you) and you were grateful for what they had done to you, how kind they were.
They had shown you the kindness you expected to have when you first arrived, and it wasn't given by other.
Not the most known ones, but the kindest of them all did.
So, as a token, you touched the hand of Baizhu softly one day while he worked to pack you herbs and medicine you might need, stopping him and asking him why he was doing this when he casually( though his heart was beating hard at having you touch hım so softly) replied with a I'm a doctor and you needed help.
You looked at him for some time, then a smile so bright that it made the doctor take a while to stare at you softly overtook your face and you replied You're so strong for carrying such a burden like your disease but still help people, Baizhu.
That was when his suspicions about who you were was proven, since he never told about his disease to anyone (after realizing the golden wounds and how he seemed healthier in your presence) and he immediately went to kneel but was stopped by your gentle hands on his face, rubbing soft circles under his tired yet wide open in shock eyes, his heart almost giving out when your lips touched his forehead softly and blessed hım with your warmth.
Never bow to me, thank you for all you had done for me... Now, let me pay back.
After healing him back and yet once again running away from Liyue so that you weren't hunted down, making the Crux the enemy to Liyue since they were helping you (not that they cared, they loved being pampered by the True God with love, luck and food), a certain sea monster and the eartqueaks of Liyue almost destroyed the whole City for their disrespect so much so that Zhongli had to come back as Rex Lapis and he wasn't even able to stop it until the Wind carried your soft words to Liyue and Osial and made them stop.
Don't punish and destroy them, they don't deserve it...
-- A similar situation happened back in Mondstadt when Dvalin caused chaos after learning what they had done to Divine Creator, roasting the shit out of Venti for his mistake but also was stopped by your gentle caress even from Miles away, to stop hım from harming them. He gave them their lesson anyways, he only needed to find you to protect you as he left the people of Mondstadt in Terror and fear for what they had done.
The "they" in question was obviously the Crux, Baizhu, Qiqi, Xiangling and Shenhe who showed their love and care for you, who was logical enough to listen to you and see the truth for themselves. Xiangling who made you many delicious food you never ate before, Shenhe who was comforted by you about how she wasn't a cursed child and was loved dearly by everyone and most importantly you as she cried into your chest, who believed in her purpose to fit in with humans even with her tendencies, which you found to be a beautiful part of her...( not me reflecting my Shenhe love here ehe 。◕‿◕。)
Asking "why are you doing this?" had become some kind of a test, like those in fairytales in your world, to see who was kind and sincere and who wasn't.
And you used it in many nations: Inazuma, Sumeru, Fontaine...
Inazuma was, of course, the WORST so far since Ei was obsessed with Eternity and the Creator, not even listening at all. But even if she didn't, the Kamisato siblings, Kokomi, Gorou, and Thoma believed in you from the very beginning, with many others soon following after them.
Ayaka and Kokomi were the first ones, with Ayaka seeing the sadness in your eyes at how restricted you were, how no one seemed to believe in you and how Inazuma seemed calmer and more happy as soon as you arrived( and how you reassured her to be herself and not live according to what people would say which made her love you and convince her brother to listen, who was glad she did if not... Well, he didn't want to imagine it.) and Kokomi hearing the whispers of the ocean who was the happiest, who cheered for you and didn't stop chanting your name, which lead her to see it for herself and welcome you to Watatsumi Island as the God she worshipped. Who was also praised by you for her smartness and how she worked hard for the Island even if her career plan wasn't this, but was warned to not to overwork which she blushed at and assured Creator!Reader.
Not surprisingly enough, Sumeru was the kindest to you since Nahida knew who you were even before coming to her nation and greeted you herself excitedly, showing you around as her people( Yes, even Tighnari and Al-Haitham who was known to be stern) smiled and offered you a new home.
Fontaine was probably the happiest you had been, after Sumeru, to stay. Furina, as much as she didn't believe in herself, saw right through you and knew who you were, providing you with utmost care and protection ever alonsgide Neuvillette who always hang around you, protected you and even became your friend! Maybe it was the dragon instincts in him, once the closest to you like Zhongli but also one who wasn't blinded like him, as he stayed with you when your fears and nightmares became too much to bear.
Who knew, maybe something more would happen?
And after all the nations realized their mistake, after you defeated Celestia and came to a peace with It, and restored Khaenri'ah who always believed in you from the beginning even years ago, they feared the punishment waiting for them. They didn't want to accept their mistake, blame Celestia for all of it... But they also knew they were blinded by hard and unlogical belief and almost did the most unforgivable sin ever.
They were ready for any punishment from you, even if it included never seeing you again...
But the only answer to their question was a letter written by you, which made them shiver.
The only reason none of the nations who wronged me are not punished severely was because of the names listed below. Shall any harm come to them, your nation would see the true wrath of the Creator.
Thank you to Razor, Bennet, Amber, Klee, Albedo and dear Traveller from Mondstadt.
Thank you to Baizhu, Qiqi, Xiangling, Shenhe, the Crux, Beidou and Kazuha from Liyue
Thank you to Kamisato Ayato and Kamisato Ayaka, Thoma, Gorou, Kokomi from Inazuma.
Thank you to Sumeru, Khaenri'ah, Fontaine and Natlan people for their never ending kindness and belief.
Eternal gratitude and blessings from the Creator, who you helped to gain confidence and power...

#the perfect family
—you’re a spy, and you need a perfect family in order to attain world peace
CHARACTERS. assassin! Albedo, Ayato, Xiao; gn!reader (w/ mind reader! Klee, Sayu, Qiqi respectively)
THEMES. This is absolutely inspired by Spy X Family… and you guessed it, if you know the story, this is gonna be crack (mostly) and fluff. spy au. the children are mind-readers and the three men are assassins.
NOTES. I’ve had this in my drafts for like one month and i am sO glad that i am finally done with it. this is very fun to write indeed tho! btw i was about to include diona and diluc here but like,,, i dont see them getting along AT ALL (but if someone requests them hmmmmm why not, just with different dynamics than the other three)
Tumblr media
ALBEDO
When you had first heard of Klee, you also hear the name “Albedo”
Of course, as someone who’s in need of both a child AND a husband, you decided that they were the perfect pair for the role. Not only was Klee seen as a “child” of this man, but the child gets along with everybody, and that would mean it would be quite easy to please her.
Albedo, who was a genius assassin, is actually in need of a spouse as well. After all, people in the police station were beginning to wonder why he is still single. And yes, he is a detective—as much as he is an assassin. It’s just that his fellow peers did not know he is actually a contract assassin, of course, he was making sure it is very well hidden. As someone who believes the statement “Keep your friends close and enemies closer,” (of course, he can’t just poison these nitwits no matter how much he hated their guts) this is something he thought of doing the moment he had reached the point where he needed a job to hide his original occupation—the one that pays much higher.
And besides, he was doing a far better job than these “police officers” who most of the time do not particularly care about the people and take money from offenders when they are rich.
At the same time, he also has to protect Klee. People knew her as his child, but she’s actually his adoptive little sister. Their mother, which is technically his boss as well, is always absent. He did not care how the public saw him and his sister, as long as she is safe, then everything is okay.
But the thing is, it is not.
Now, he needs to find a “spouse,” fake or not.
You were just in timing.
The moment he saw you, you were with Klee, saying that you had come across the girl on your walk and had walked her back home when she could not find her way home. At that moment, he remembered your face. You were in the documents that Kaeya had brought him the other day who had clear records and was living alone. You were single.
“Albedo, Albedo, what do you think of them? Y/n?” Klee had asked him that day, to which he answered with;
“They seem nice,” he smiles, “Did you have fun with them, Klee?”
“Klee had fun!” the girl grins brightly, then her mood changes, “does Albedo like Y/n?”
He tilts his head to the side, quite confused why she was asking this, “I don’t think there’s a reason to dislike them.” After all, Y/n has clear records, seems capable, and he definitely needs someone like that. For both him and Klee.
Unbeknownst to Albedo, Klee had read his mind and took it upon herself to “matchmake” the two of you. After all, Klee also knew that you were “interested” in her “father” as well.
“Y/n, Y/n, stay with us for dinner!”
“Y/n, Y/n, play with Klee and father!”
Albedo was quite curious as to why Klee had suddenly called him “father”, as she had never outrightly referred to him as such, but he had merely brushed it off, especially when she was making it easy for him to win you over. It was actually the same for you. No matter how confused you are and questioned how it all felt like it was going fast, your acting skills were pulling through.
You both pretended to be dating and soon came to the conversation where you needed someone to be your “fake” husband. Of course, you did not say anything about your mission, and you still were worried he’d reject you.
But he did not.
“Of course,” he smiles, “when will be the wedding?”
At that time, your heart skipped a beat but you misinterpreted it as excitement that your mission was going well.
Giddy, you unconsciously held one of his hands, “Last year,” you paused, realizing your mistake, “I mean, what if we got married last year instead?”
Thus began the fake family you all had established with your collective efforts.
Tumblr media
AYATO
You were referred to Sayu by a friend of yours—Kana. She told you that the girl’s identity is not that much known and that she’s very much trained as a fighter at a young age. As much as you did not like the fact that someone taught a child to fight, you found this useful since this is, in fact, a dangerous job.
Sayu is lazy, but Kana also said that she is obedient and responsible.
When you met the little girl, all of what Kana said was the absolute truth. So you asked her as well if she had any information about single men as well. And that was how you came to know Ayato, who will be your husband.
Oh, I apologize, your current husband. As it will be written that you two had been married for two years and adopted Sayu a year later.
You had no idea who your husband was, but you trusted Kana’s intuition when she referred you to him, who for one accepted to be in a contract marriage with you. Of course, you mentioned you have a child, but you did not tell him that Sayu had just been adopted a few days ago and not a year ago.
But he sure did notice that Sayu was good at fighting. Or at least, has a bit of knowledge.
“Our Sayu has talent,” you heard him—your now-husband (you still could not comprehend you had to call him husband somehow) say one day, amused, referring to how Sayu was complaining how she was watching a movie about martial arts and noticed the little mistakes the actors were doing. “What do you say about enrolling her on a varsity team?
He seems to have said this without thinking and when he looked to you, who was now gaping at him without saying a word, he awkwardly smiles, “It’s just an idea. I think it would be a waste to try to give it a chance.”
“No, no, of course,” you broke the contact and looked away, now aware that he is actually quite observant—very observant, “let us ask Sayu if she wants to. But I don’t mind as long as she really wants it.”
Of course, your current husband is observant, he is an assassin for goodness’ sake… but you did not know that.
In the end, Sayu did get into martial arts, which is during the weekends, to give way to her school days on the weekdays. Of course, it is still the priority, as the main purpose of this mission of yours was to get your “child” to get the attention of your current target, as it was seemingly the only way to get close to the target.
Personally, you hated using others or relying on others in missions, but as you simply could not just dress yourself as a child and a spouse all in one seating, you had no choice.
“How are you faring in your new school, Sayu?” you had inquired your daughter one weekend night during dinner—which you had cooked and your husband had helped with the plating. Just the plating. Apparently, Ayato is quite elegant in all aspects of his life… maybe except for his cooking. Not that the meals he cooks are entirely inedible, but sometimes he would spice something overly or that there is just something wrong with it that you could not particularly point out.
“Boring.” Sayu had let out, unconsciously, in her defense, but she immediately corrects herself when the word caught both you and Ayato’s attention. “I mean, they’re all boring! I… I already know m-most of them! The lessons, I mean.” Sayu stutters, but she brightens up when you and Ayato smiled at her.
“Our Sayu is really intelligent, isn’t she?” Ayato mused.
You hummed in response, going back to your meal. “You should still listen to the teacher, dear. The teachers at that school would most likely ask about things that they say in the lessons.” How did you know? Well, of course, you had seen samples of their questionnaires.
Unbeknownst to you, Sayu’s jaw dropped as she had read your mind. Silently, she wished you could just tell her the answers already.
But she could just sneak into your room when both you and father are away to find the questionnaires if you wouldn’t.
Tumblr media
XIAO
Qiqi is special, you knew that the moment you had come across her in the orphanage. She’s quiet, very forgetful… and apparently, she was also the only one who could read and write amongst the other children.
You were quite sure you were forming a bond with her and that you’ve already cleared that she was to go to school after 3 months. What you didn’t know… is that she already knew you before you even approached her.
As a mind reader, Qiqi is quite unnerved by everyone. No one had particularly impressed her since everyone she had encountered was quite… bland, so to speak. You? You were special. You were muttering in your head how much you needed someone who could help you “save the world” and for some reason, she was intrigued by it.
“Is this… to save the world?” she had asked one time as you and she was buying books to help her prepare for the entrance exam.
You did not mind the words in her question, for you were too busy trying to search for academic books and pencils, “Yes, children are the future of the world, so this would help save the world.”
And thus began the misunderstanding between you and the child.
Xiao is an assassin—of course, for the “good.” He was hired to protect the people from corrupt men and to do the “dirty work” that no one else can do. That’s what assassins like him were.
Lately, though, his boss told him one thing: “Find an identity.”
What the hell was that?—he thought. But then his boss began saying that he should have a normal identity for the normal world in order to not be suspected in the future, for his safety as well.
“Actually, make that an assignment,” his boss says.
Thus now, he’s in search of a job. Sure, his streaming in Twitch may be considered one, but he’s not really allowed to show his face, of course, because of his assassin job, so now he has to quit that and find something… normal.
That’s when he found you.
Of course, he was quite surprised when he saw you had a child. How dare he suddenly cling to someone with a family already! What if he had asked you out unknowingly that you have a spouse?! Not only is that embarrassing but he could also be entangled in an affair that might lead him straight to court, straight to prison, and even straight to his death if anyone ever found out anything about his true occupation!
He could just feel the shivers run down his spine.
When Qiqi read Xiao’s mind and yours, she did not know what to do except say the words:
“Qiqi… Qiqi doesn’t have a papa… He can be my papa…”
Now, Qiqi was merely amused over the fact that both you and this stranger have the same thoughts about saving the world and needing a spouse to do that. She’s merely a child but it does not hurt to help you two out, right?
“Qiqi, I…” you hesitated for a bit as you awkwardly smiled at Xiao, “I apologize if that offended you, sir… It’s just that… it has been a while since her father died. My husband… he kind of looked a lot like you.”
You definitely did not rehearse with the child, but it was as if she was reading your mind, Qiqi did not say anything that entailed you as a liar. You could only thank the Archons or whoever was listening to you despite not heavily being a believer.
Surprisingly, it was not too long until this “family” had been established, as you had gotten your newly appointed husband to agree to your plans.
Qiqi thinks that this “family” is quite good—better, actually. Better than the orphanage. Better than her previous “home”, if she could even call it one.
However, Qiqi wanted something else.
“Coco goat…”
“Hm? What was that, darling?” you had inquired, as you did not particularly understand-
“Coco goat… Qiqi wants a coco goat.”
At that moment, you had looked over your husband with confusion written all over your face.
To which he replied, “I have no idea what that is.”
In the end, you both got her a cat instead. And a goat stuff toy.

BeeTober 2023 Day 8 - Lost
Kaeya lays slumped over his desk, head buried in his arms, and he simply wills this day to be over. There is no reason for it to go on any longer than it already has, and there certainly isn’t any more reason to after Albedo smiled at him.
He gave him a real smile. Where the corners of his mouth actually moved. Kaeya has never seen that happen before; usually his face softens in a way that tells Kaeya he might smile, but then he never does.
Until today.
“Ugh,” Kaeya groans out into his own arms as he presses his head even further into them.
He can totally die happy now, he catches himself thinking and then groans even harder.
What is happening to him?
The door to his classroom slides open, causing Kaeya to still, because maybe, if he just pretends he isn’t here, no one will notice him.
That hope is futile, Kaeya realizes as soon as the person starts walking because that’s Albedo. And how fucked is Kaeya that he recognises him by his step alone?
“Fuck,” he whispers and tenses when he feels Albedo come to a stop at his desk.
“Kaeya, are you alright?” Albedo asks, poking his head and Kaeya plasters a smile on his face before he even lifts his head.
“I’m good, perfect even, why do you ask?”
“Because you were slumped over your desk like that? You’re not getting sick are you?” Albedo reaches out as if he wants to take Kaeya’s temperature and Kaeya shoots up so quickly his chair falls over.
“I’m not, perfectly alright, paragon of health, nothing to worry over, sorry, gotta dash, see you tomorrow, Bedo!” he rambles out and then flees the classroom before Albedo can get another word in.
He’ll have to explain himself tomorrow, he’s sure of that, but until then he probably has figure out what the fuck is wrong with him in the first place so Kaeya doesn’t give it too much thought until he makes it home.
It’s only when he’s face first in his pillow—questions from both his father and brother dodged like his life depends on it—that he replays the entire situation in his mind.
He had given Albedo a gift for his little sister Klee, because Albedo kept mentioning just how much Klee liked that one TV show and Kaeya just happened to come across a little figurine that he remembers Klee to like best so—anyone would have done the same, right?
Kaeya hadn’t given that any more thought than that—at least until he gave the tiny figurine to Albedo and he had looked so painfully surprised. That had gotten Kaeya to freeze with uncertainty—which never happened!—and then! And then he had smiled that real smile at him and something in Kaeya’s brain just short-circuited.
And Kaeya is not oblivious enough to fail to realize what that means.
“Fuck. I like him,” he mutters, and then promptly tries to suffocate himself with his pillow.
~*~*~
“You didn’t sleep well,” is how Albedo greets him the next morning and Kaeya gives him his best smile. He doesn’t even let him pretend.
“It happens. Did Klee like the figurine?”
“She loved it,” Albedo says, in that way of his that softens his features whenever he talks about his sister and Kaeya’s traitorous heart stutters in his chest.
“I’m glad,” he says, willing it to beat like it’s supposed to and then he tries to push every thought regarding Albedo and his feelings for him out of his mind.
They are friends. They are friends and nothing more and Albedo has his hands full with his sister and studies and club activities and certainly doesn’t think of Kaeya that way or has time for anything even resembling a relationship.
Kaeya is certain of that.
~*~*~
Albedo keeps touching him. Kaeya never realised this before but ever since his little revelation he just can’t stop noticing it.
He touches his arm in greeting, bumps against him when they walk, casually leans against him when they sit close to each other and there was one time he took Kaeya’s hand when Kaeya cut himself.
Kaeya thought he would die right on the spot when Albedo wouldn’t let go of him and instead dragged him off to the nurses office and even the nurse looked funny at him.
It’s just—Albedo is so free with his touches around him and Kaeya doesn’t know how to handle any of that.
He’s sure that Albedo doesn’t mean anything by it, so it’s unfair of Kaeya to read too much into it but he simply can’t stop himself.
If this goes on for much longer he’ll develop a heart issue and it will all be Albedo’s fault for being absolutely perfect.
~*~*~
“Help,” Kaeya says, letting himself into Jean’s room. He texted her beforehand so he trusts that she and Lisa are not up to stuff and he’s proven right when he sees them both expectantly waiting for him.
“Help with what, sweetie? Your message was awfully cryptic.”
Kaeya doesn’t think I’m dying and need advice is that cryptic but when even Jean nods he figures there must be something to what Lisa said.
“Swear to secrecy,” he says as he plops down on the ground, immediately reaching for the huge Gouba plush Jean keeps next to her bed and buries his head in it.
“We swear,” Jean and Lisa say at the same time after a short silence and Kaeya can just imagine the look they exchanged.
“I’m in love with Albedo,” he rushes out, thinking that it might be less worse if he just gets this over with but when he’s met with no reaction at all he picks himself out of the plush. “What? No reaction at all?”
Jean and Lisa exchange another look.
“Is that what you need help with?”
“What is that supposed to mean?”
“Sweetie, that’s kind of obvious,” Lisa carefully tells him. “So we were waiting for the real issue you need help with.”
“What do you mean kind of obvious?” Kaeya screeches out. “Obvious to whom?”
“Everyone?” Jean says with a wince. “I mean, everyone who cares to look or knows you?”
“Fuck me,” Kaeya breathes out. “Does Albedo know?” he then asks, his voice shaking with nerves.
It would be an answer, kind of, Kaeya thinks, if he knows about Kaeya’s feelings and hasn’t said anything about them.
“Probably not,” Lisa reassures him, or at least tries to. The ‘probably’ is not raising much hope. “He’s so preoccupied with all his school stuff and Klee, and he is kind of dense when it comes to feelings. It would surprise me if he knows.”
“Hey, what do you mean kind of dense?” Kaeya asks, affronted on Albedo’s behalf because Albedo is perfect.
“She just means that he’s not the best at picking up stuff like that. He still has a hard time figuring out that Sucrose absolutely looks up to him. He just thinks she’s nervous like that around everyone.”
“Oh,” Kaeya breathes out because that is right. It’s kind of a source of constant amusement to Kaeya because Sucrose is flailing so hard around Albedo because she wants to impress him with her work and he barely notices at all.
“So, I’d guess you’re safe in that regard,” Jean tells him and then shares yet again a look with Lisa.
Maybe Kaeya shouldn’t have come here today, after all. He hates it when these two gang up on him, but it’s not as if he has many other options. No one else from his friend group has successfully managed to get together with anyone, so it’s these two or no one.
“What do you actually need help with, though?” Lisa asks him, giving him a smile that makes a shudder run down Kaeya’s back.
“I guess I’m—lost,” he admits, and buries his face in the plushie again. “Do I tell him? Do I ignore it? What do I do?”
“What do you want to do?” Jean carefully asks and this is the question Kaeya is afraid of.
He wants to be together with Albedo of course. He wants to reach out for him, and hold his hand, and kiss him, spend all his time with him and see him whenever he likes, share everything with him. That’s not the part that’s scary, because Kaeya can see all of that perfectly.
The scary part is what comes before; where he confesses and possibly gets rejected and then also loses Albedo as his friend.
Kaeya is not sure he could stand that.
“I want him to stay by my side,” Kaeya mumbles and hears Lisa sigh. “Don’t be mean to me, I’m fragile.”
“You’re always fragile,” Lisa shoots back without regard for his ego and Kaeya l let’s out a pained groan. “Listen, sweetie,” she then says and she sounds serious enough that Kaeya takes his face out of the safety of Gouba again. “The fact that you’re here, asking us already means you know what you want to do because otherwise you would have just stayed quiet. You’re good at suffering by yourself when you think you have to, so clearly this is different.”
“You want to tell him,” Jean very helpfully adds and Kaeya doesn’t mention all the times he bit his tongue in the last week to stop himself from simply blurting it out.
“You’re not lost, sweetie, you’re scared.”
“So what?” Kaeya snaps and then immediately winces. “He’s my best friend. What do I do if—” he trails off, unable to even voice his fear of Albedo rejecting him.
“First of all, I don’t think he will reject you,” Jean says. “And second, even if that happened; do you think he would pull away from you? You’re basically his family, aren’t you?”
“What do you mean he won’t reject me?” Kaeya asks, completely frozen. “What do you mean, Jean?”
“Sweetie, he barely talks to anyone else at school. He never tells anyone about Klee. None of us have ever even seen her, yet you go on weekend trips with them. Plus I’ve never seen him touch anyone besides you. He always keeps a distance with everyone he talks to.”
“What? No, he always reaches out,” Kaeya argues, certain that Jean and Lisa must be mistaken but his breath is already coming faster in anticipation. “He does, right?”
“To you, yeah,” Jean agrees with a smile. “No one else though. So I’d say go for it.”
“You think?”
“Definitely,” Lisa nods.
It’s the most terrifying advice they could have given him, Kaeya thinks as he buries himself back in Gouba, but maybe they are right.
Maybe, just maybe, he is kind of special to Albedo too, and that must count for something, right?
~*~*~
Kaeya doesn’t know why it’s so important to him to come out to Crepus before he confesses to Albedo but it somehow is and that in some way makes all of this worse.
Worse enough that Crepus is waiting for him when he comes home from school two days later, clearly worried about something.
“Kaeya, do you have a moment?” he asks and Kaeya quickly checks if Diluc is home yet.
He’s not going to come out to both of them at once, there’s no way he can stomach that.
“Diluc’s not here yet. I thought—Kaeya, are you alright?”
“I am,” he says but even he can tell that it’s barely believable and he hates to see the was Crepus’ face falls. “Actually, I wanted to tell you something,” Kaeya quickly goes on and he feels bad to see the relief wash over Crepus.
He must have really worried him.
“Sure. What is it?”
“I—you know—there’s—” Kaeya stumbles over his words, not knowing how to come out with this at all and it doesn’t help when Crepus gives him a small smile.
“Don’t force yourself. It’s alright if you don’t want to say. As long as you’re okay, though. You’d tell me is something was seriously wrong, right?”
“I guess my teachers would call you about that, wouldn’t they?” Kaeya asks, stalling for time as he sorts through his words.
“I don’t mean school stuff, Kaeya,” Crepus softly says. “I mean if something is wrong here, at home.”
“No! No, dad, everything is fine!” Crepus visibly melts when Kaeya calls him that and Kaeya thinks he probably still doesn’t do it often enough. “It’s just, it’s a personal matter.”
“Something you want to share, though,” Crepus says and it’s not a question.
“it’s just hard,” Kaeya mutters and then steps forward until he can hide his face in Crepus’ shoulder.
He doesn’t ask for physical reassurance much, but Crepus doesn’t hesitate to hug him close. It makes it easier like this, not having to see his face.
“Don’t be mad, okay?” Kaeya still can’t help but to say because he has no clue how Crepus is going to react to this.
“As long as you’re not endangering yourself or others, I promise,” Crepus immediately gives back and Kaeya chuckles.
“Nothing that serious, dad. I just—there’s this boy I like,” he then rushes out and holds his breath for Crepus’ reaction.
“A boy, huh? What’s his name?”
“Albedo,” Kaeya says, tentatively relaxing because it doesn’t sound as if Crepus is mad.
“You confessed yet?”
Kaeya shakes his head. “Wanted to do this first,” he mutters and feels Crepus huff out a breath.
“A kiddo, you were worried, huh?”
“Very,” he admits and then pushes away from Crepus when he ruffles his head.
“Nothing to worry about, not in this household, Kaeya. As long as you’re happy it really doesn’t matter who you love. I don’t care, and you know Diluc won’t either, right?”
“I—well, he will tease me, though,” Kaeya breathes out, desperately trying not to cry and Crepus laughs.
“That he will do,” he agrees. “Now, come help me with dinner and tell me about Albedo. He’s the one with the little sister, right?”
“Klee, yeah,” Kaeya nods and follows him to the kitchen, almost shaking with relief.
He thinks if he managed this, telling Albedo might not be so bad after all.
~*~*~
Kaeya feels as if he’s going to die. He barely slept, he couldn’t eat and it feels as if his heart is going to jump out of his chest.
But he’s going to do it today, and no amount of revolting from his body is going to stop him.
He has to wait until break to tell Albedo though, and he barely retains anything that is being said in the classes before that.
“I took notes for you,” Lisa informs him as the gong for the break goes off and Kaeya manages a small smile for her before he is off, rushing over to Albedo’s classroom.
He catches Albedo right before he leaves for the school yard and he must make quite the sight because Albedo instantly seems worried.
“Kaeya, is everything alright?” Albedo asks and reaches out for Kaeya’s wrist, carefully putting his fingertips to his skin there. “You okay?”
Kaeya tries not to think too much when he moves his hand and catches Albedo’s fingers in his.
“Can we talk for a moment? Somewhere private?”
“Sure,” Albedo says with a frown but he doesn’t pull his hand away. “The lab should be empty right now.”
Kaeya nods and follows Albedo through the hallways, cursing every step they have to take because it feels way too far. They are still holding hands though and Kaeya clings to that more than he probably should.
He lets out a relieved breath when they finally make it to the lab and Albedo closes the door behind them.
“What’s going on? You’re not sick, are you, your face is all flushed,” Albedo says and reaches out to feel Kaeya’s forehead.
“I’m good, I’m fine, promise,” Kaeya rushes out and then takes a deep breath before he catches Albedo’s hand in his again, holding on tighter this time. “Albedo, listen, I have something to say, okay.”
“I’m listening.” There’s still a confused frown on Albedo’s face and Kaeya wants to kiss it away but he can only do that if Albedo reciprocates his feelings.
And to know that he has to say it first.
“Albedo, I like you. In the romantic way. I’m in love with you,” Kaeya rushes out and then snaps his mouth shut.
It feels good to finally have said it but now there’s this dread forming in his stomach because who knows what answer Albedo will give him.
Kaeya thinks he might have his answer when Albedo gives him that smile again, the one Kaeya has only ever seen once before and the dread is replaced with butterflies.
“I like you too, Kaeya,” Albedo tells him and then actually laughs out loud as he scratches the back of his head. “Thank you for being braver than I am. Klee was already getting mad at me because I hadn’t told you yet.”
“Really?” Kaeya asks and he feels weak with happiness.
“Really. You’re supposed to come for dinner now.”
“Ah, sorry petal, my dad called dibs. He said it’s unfair that Klee already knows me but he doesn’t know you.”
“Fair trade, I guess,” Albedo agrees and then steps closer, properly threading their fingers together.
Kaeya doesn’t know what’s too much right now, so he opts to press a kiss to Albedo’s brow before he pulls him into a hug. Albedo’s arm comes up around him almost immediately and he clings to him just as tightly as Kaeya does to him.
“I am really happy right now,” Kaeya breathes out with a chuckle and he feels Albedo nod.
“ I am, too.”

hello!
I just got done reading "you are love itself" with diluc and I thought it would be cool to see what happens years after y/n's death, maybe when jean, Lisa, or even Klee decide to confront him about it and ask what happened
this is just a request you don't have to write it if you don't want to
thank you have a good day darling
𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗬 𝗠𝗜𝗦𝗦 𝗬𝗢𝗨!
DILUC X READER , ANGST TO COMFORT
part two of ; you are love itself. manga spoilers. in which kof members grow curious.
warnings ; tears, anger.
started at ; 9:31 AM ON MAY 22, 2022
additional ; absolutely no worries! :) i didn’t expect anyone to want a follow-up, but i am more than happy to deliver. <3 thank you, for the request.
diluc stormed out of the knights of favonius headquarters in anger. he cannot just believe the audacity of those damn knights! mondstadt became strong because of the sacrifices and hard work that you and his father did.
diluc looks absolutely enraged, but in his eyes you could see sadness. sadness that he had lost two people he loved, sadness that he just quit being a knight. the emotions that diluc, an eighteen year old, had to bare would be agonizing for anyone.
kaeya watched as diluc stormed past the fountain and walked across the bridge. kaeya’s eyes held guilt, but they also held sadness, too. he decided to let diluc go.
yours and crepus’ grave sat behind the mondstadt cathedral. diluc sobbed by your grave as it rained, messing up his hair and clothes almost beyond repair. he thought about how strong the two of you had been, not only emotionally but physically.
kaeya knew he cried because he misses you, but he also knows he cried because he wouldn’t be able to do so many things with you. chase your dream of exploring all of teyvat, marry you - it was all gone. diluc told kaeya he would take either of your places in a heartbeat, and in a way, so would he.
you were a good friend of kaeya’s, and he felt the world crashing down too that night.
after weeks of what kaeya hoped was recovery, diluc was back on his feet and ready to take over the roles he had been forcefully placed.
nine, almost ten years has passed since then. every day, diluc had gone to your grave and placed a flower there. a windwheel aster, a snapdragon - once, he had gone to liyue and got you a glaze lily. no one in mondstadt ever really knew why.
children are always so curious. sometimes even embarrassingly so. mondstadt had a reputation for rebellion, so even after klee was asked to not ask diluc - she still wanted to.
jean had asked him once before, decently soon after the event. he hadn’t broken down, no, he just looked enraged. he did not answer, but amber had saw him forcing his frustration on hilichurls. she almost thought she saw a tear go down his face - but she must’ve been imagining things.
diluc placed his hand on your grave once again, with a soft smile on his face. he had brought a flower you had always wanted to see for yourself, a qingxin. klee walked around the cathedral, curious as ever. she wanted to see what would happen, had she not been spotted.
the grass was slightly soggy, because the nuns had watered it earlier that day. as klee stepped forward, she stepped on the grass the wrong way and fell - basically on her face. diluc turned around with a stoic expression, but it didn’t take a genius to see he was startled by the sudden presence.
“ah? klee, are you alright?”
“aha! i’m fine, mr diluc! but - klee has a question - for ..”
diluc’s left brow raised slightly in a questioning expression. “question for ..?”
“oh wait! klee just remembered! a question for you!”
diluc hummed, but he quickly said, “shoot.”
“mr diluc .. why do you come here every day?”
diluc stiffened, as jean ran behind the cathedral as well. this place had suddenly became less peaceful, and more so hectic.
“klee, i told you not to run off without me! the city is safe, but it is still not a good idea!”
jean helped klee up, and looked at diluc before nervously looking away.
“my apologies, master diluc, for our disturbance. we will be on our way.”
“there’s really no .. problem ..”
before he had even been able to finish his sentence, jean frustratedly walked off with klee in tow. klee had a guilty expression on her face, but she still had not gotten the answer she had wanted. in fact, she didn’t get an answer at all.
he sighed, and left the cathedral to go back to work.
what he didn’t know, however, was the scolding jean had given klee inside the headquarters with lisa.
“klee i cannot believe you asked that! it’s none of our business as to why. please, for everyone’s sake, do not do that again. am i clear?” klee shuttered, and quietly said crystal.
lisa sighed in amusement. “i mean, we can’t really blame a child for being curious. in fact, i’m quite curious as well. i mean, there’s no way he just coincidentally waltzes into the cathedra everyday l for nothing. he doesn’t have a lover, especially not one that has any affiliation to the cathedral.”
jean huffed. “if he wanted us to know, he surely would’ve told us. there’s no need to stick our nose where it doesn’t belong.”
lisa laughed. “jean, you’re far too uptight about this. i mean, truthfully we could just ask kaeya. perhaps he would know? but then again .. it would be better to hear the words from the redhead himself. in any case, someone is going to ask.”
jean pressed her hand to her forehead in frustration. “but what if it has to do with a family member or a friend? it could be a sensitive topic.”
“hm? sensitive topic about what?” kaeya walked in with a curious expression on his face.
“ah, kaeya. it’s nothing important, we were just discussing - uh .. ah ..” “you were discussing why diluc may go to the graves everyday, i heard it from outside.”
kaeya laughed. “pff - lot’s of people are curious about that. it’s no surprise that you, too, became intrigued. there’s no need to hide it, grandmaster.”
lisa looked over to him. “aha, kaeya, surely you would have even the slightest clue of why?”
kaeya raised his brow playfully. “oh? you want to know as well? i’m surprised you of all people would even care, much less ask me about it.”
but he huffed, “i don’t think i should be the one to tell you. sure, i know, but - it’s not really my call to tell everyone. it’s his business, you know.”
lisa sighed. “i suppose you’re right, sir kaeya .. i must say, though, it’s rather worrying that you won’t even tell us. it must be serious.”
jean quickly cut in, “well, there’s no need to dwell on it now. knights, let’s get back to work! and klee, think about what you’ve done.”
“hmm .. okay miss jean .. klee will go think about it ..”
kaeya dwelled in the room as the other three walked out. he cast his eyes down to the floor. in a way, he hoped diluc would open up someday. he knows that people care about him .. right? kaeya looked out the window.
“surely .. he will open up someday. perhaps, he still needs to give his heart time. as long as he remembers them .. they will live forever.”
“s - sir kaeya?” “ah! amber, do you need anything?” “not necessarily, but .. perhaps, i could ask him? or, help someone ask him more so - i have a general idea of why he goes there.”
kaeya’s eyes widened for a split second, before a smile came to his face. “is that so? tell me what you know, then. i can confirm or deny.”
“well! firstly, one of the graves is .. your father, right?” “you’re right. what else?” “and the other .. is a friend, or a lover perhaps? i mean - master diluc doesn’t really strike me as one to have a lover but -“ “no, no. you’re correct. these days, you’d be right. but back then, he was quite the lovebird. though, unfortunately i can’t provide much more information. privacy, you know.”
amber smiled worryingly. “that’s okay. do you .. think - it would be a good idea for me to ask?” he smiled, but shook his head. “perhaps not. maybe, it would help him to confide in someone he’s more affiliated with, no offense.”
amber laughed, “nono! it makes sense. though, i don’t really know if he would .. you know, confide in anyone at all .. perhaps klee should do it!”
kaeya shrugs, but looks over to her with curiosity in his eyes. “why do you say that?”
“well, she’s young and it’s likely she may not even understand. he wouldn’t get much pity, and there’s a good chance she’ll forget as time goes on. it’s a pretty solid plan, don’t you think?” “certainly. well, there’s no time to waste, hm? let’s go fetch the little knight herself.”
klee was shivering with excitement and absolute fear.
the typically bright blue skies of mondstadt started to fade into oranges, and purples. diluc was once again sitting down in the graveyard, staring into the sunset. klee stepped beside him, and diluc looked up at her.
“m - mr diluc, klee has something to ask you ..”
“is it related to the question you asked before?”
“.. maybe .. klee is sorry if you don’t want to tell!”
“no, no - it’s .. it’s alright. come, sit with me if you must.”
klee hesitantly plopped beside him, and looked at him with expectancies in her bright red-orange eyes. he looked at her, and sweat dropped. her curiosity would surely be the death of him. he sighed, thoughts running through his head at thousands of miles per hour.
but .. maybe, this was good for him. he hadn’t spoke about this to anyone. klee was someone that couldn’t entirely process loss, and perhaps that was a good thing.
“these .. graves. they’re people i have lost in my lifetime. you see that one?” he pointed to the right grave in front of him, and klee nodded.
“that was my father. crepus ragnvindr. a brilliant man, and a wonderful ally to the knights of favonius. and you ..” he coughed, trying to mask the tears that were coming to his eyes, “do you see that one?”
he pointed to the left one, yours.
“that is my lover. they had told me .. before they had passed -“ he sniffles, and klee puts her head on his arm, staring up at him. “- they told me that i was love itself. and that i shouldn’t let my losses hold me back. i think - i think that’s logic anyone should follow.”
“and .. where are they now, mr diluc?”
he bitterly chuckled, placing a rough hand on her head. “i don’t know. i just hope that once my time is done, i will join them.”
a single tear rolls down his face, and klee gets up, startled. he had a smile on his face, although he was crying. klee walked in front of him, and wiped the tear off.
“klee thinks that someday, you will see them again! klee thinks they miss you.”

(Y/n) immediately kicked him away from her, knocking him down, before grabbing the hilt of his sword. She gritted her teeth as she forcefully slid it out of her body, feeling the sharp edges caress the grooves of her flesh. Gasping sharply, she then cast it aside, allowing the bloodied blade to land on the snow with a soft crunch, and held onto the table behind her for support whilst pressing a shaky hand against her wound. She was only reminded of Klee's presence in the area when she heard the young girl's sniffles.
"Klee, get out of here!" (y/n) yelled, making Klee jolt in surprise, "It's not safe- Run and find Albedo!"
Klee stared at the older woman as if she was hesitating to leave her behind with the man who just stabbed her - the very person Klee had helped navigate to this icy cave. She felt guilty, believing that (y/n) would not have gotten hurt if she hadn't done what she did. Noticing Klee's hesitance to flee from the apparent danger, (y/n) shouted her name once more and that seemed to snap her out of it. After giving (y/n) one final glance, Klee spun on her heels and ran away.
"So it's true," the man began as he slowly picked himself off the ground, drawing (y/n)'s attention towards him, "You... A living creature that refuses to fall when cut or burnt... and it's all thanks to the spell that was bound to your physical body."
When he slowly raised his head to reveal his face, her pupils dilated in recognition and shock. Hair as white as snow... Eyes as red as blood... And a black eyepatch over his left eye.
She gazed at him in disbelief. "You're supposed to be dead. I killed you many years ago-"
He let out a loud laugh, interrupting her sentence.
"You did. You beheaded the Mazoku of the Demonic Mist, Aragami Muramasa. But not me," he said, summoning a katana and a wakizashi. The moment his hands gripped the hilt of both swords, she knew that there was no talking herself out of this impending battle. As she suppressed the searing pain with a clenched jaw, she eyed the sword that was used to wound her and dove for it without a second thought. Swiping the discarded sword off the ground, she then charged towards the man to land the first strike, the clash of their swords signifying the start of what would soon be a brutal combat.
"Who are you then? Why did you attack the Adventurers' Camp near Dragonspine, and why did you attempt to trap the villagers of Springvale within a barrier?" (y/n) asked, knitting her eyebrows together.
He merely smiled at her.
"I'm Muramasa. Not the same one you killed however," he answered, deftly parrying her attack with his wakizashi, "You could say that I'm his artificial reincarnation - just like how you're the artificial reincarnation of Osial's precious adeptus." The foreign yet familiar name made her stop abruptly, her lips parting ever so slightly in surprise.
"Osial...?" she repeated, her voice barely above a whisper. Osial... Why did she feel like she knew that name? Her train of thoughts was quickly cut off when Muramasa lunged forward, prompting her to block his katana and wakizashi by raising her sword. After pushing him back, she followed up with a counterattack, their blades flashing through the air like steel birds of prey.
"The adventurers in the camp near this mountain attacked me first. They were practically asking to be skewered," he continued, "I was only going to pass by and had no intentions of brandishing my swords at them... but one of the adventurers recognised me. I recognised him too, since he's a survivor I accidentally let escape." While he was talking, (y/n) seemed to have the upper hand and drove Muramasa back on to the pile of snow. But he now gained a height advantage, his retreat clearly a ruse to get her to over-commit to her attack. He retaliated with a double strike imbued with Cryo, which almost froze her skin had she not dodged it. She quickly blocked his wakizashi but was caught out by the longer blade of the katana. It broke past her guard, threatening to skewer her through the heart. Only a late deflection and rapid footwork saved the Transcendant; Muramasa kept up the pressure and went in for the kill.
"As for Springvale? The stunt I pulled there was a decoy. You led those humans straight into my trap and indirectly helped speed up the princess' plan, so you have my thanks for that," he told her, making her eyes widen, "The swords they destroyed were just regular swords. My real target is Mondstadt."
There has always been one thing that (y/n) didn't understand about the living creatures. Why do they kill, and why do they die? If they have a heart that's capable of feeling love, then why do they take that love away from others and make them suffer? If they created her to protect, then why do they destroy?
Gritting her teeth, (y/n) viciously cut down at Muramasa's exposed neck, only for him to cross-block her sword and shoulder-barge her in the chest. The sheer force sent her flying backwards, causing her to crash through the cave's wall before she was sent rolling across the snow outside. He promptly chased her, his bandaged feet crunching the snow beneath him.
"Now that you know the truth behind your birth, do you still want to help the humans?" he asked, watching her carefully, "Humans are greedy and will no doubt use you for their own gain." Sheathing his swords, he then knelt down to her level. "You might get hurt again."
(Y/n) carefully pushed herself off the ground and propped her upper body on her elbows, scoffing.
"That's rich coming from someone who attempted to kill me not too long ago," she replied, narrowing her eyes at him, "You'd be mad to think that I'll take your hand after you stabbed me."
Muramasa suddenly faltered, and for a moment it seemed like there was something different about him.
"Stab you? Why did I-" Stopping mid-sentence, he pressed a palm against his forehead as his expression twisted in pain. With a groan, he fell backwards whilst squeezing his eyes shut, and a strange purple mark flashed over his eyepatch briefly. Before she could mentally question what she just saw, he spoke up, his voice sounding much gentler this time which surprised her. "You... You should go. Save Mondstadt before it's too late... The princess ordered me to do this with a spell that made it impossible for me to disobey her."
(Y/n) could only stare at him in bewilderment. He was ordered to fight her? Among the many questions that sprung up from the new information she just gained, one nagged her to extract an answer out of him. "You spoke of 'the princess' back in the cave too. Who is this princess you're serving?"
He seemed reluctant to answer her question. "She's-"
"I'll take things from here, Muramasa."
Before either of them could react, a flashing thunderbolt struck (y/n) down, illuminating the area briefly with an ominous violet glow. Muramasa watched with eyes blown wide as the Transcendant collapsed on her side, writhing in agony as her limbs jerked with the crackles of lightning. An Abyss Lector then descended from the misty sky, an open book hovering over its left palm. Seeing that she was still conscious, it sent another spear of lightning towards her, striking her back. The scream she let out echoed in the area, fading into the howling winds of Dragonspine's perpetual blizzard.
Muramasa clenched his jaw as he dug his nails into the snow beneath him.
"Stop it! She's already incapacitated, you don't need to leave her on the brink of death!" he exclaimed desperately. As he was about to intercept them, a dark blue portal ripped through the air behind him and an Abyss Herald emerged from it. He was quickly restrained by the Herald, who then knocked him out in a single blow.
"We should return. Her Highness is awaiting our reports," it told the Abyss Lector before hoisting Muramasa over its shoulder. (Y/n) could feel it fixate her, its gaze sending chills down her spine. "She should be losing consciousness anytime now. It'll take a while for Crestoria to repair her body."
They soon disappeared through the portal the Abyss Herald had emerged from, leaving her on her snowy bed. The Abyssal energy from the Lector's attack earlier had clashed with her Celestial energy, setting off a violent reaction inside her body and thus preventing her from retaliating; even now, she's paralysed from the pain caused by the reaction which had put her in a dangerous situation. With no source of heat nearby, the sheer cold is creeping over her body quickly. She needed to move-
"Again, huh? I thought you would have learnt from last time."
The snow crunched with the footfall as a familiar voice reached her ears. A certain alchemist with ash blond hair then entered her line of vision, and she gazed into his turquoise pools through half-lidded eyes.
"Albedo...?" she murmured, watching him lower himself on his knees beside her.
"Mm, yes. That's what I'd normally want people to believe," he said with a hint of a smile. To (y/n)'s surprise, the gold diamond marking on his neck disappeared. "Guess again, Gungnir."
The memories buried deep within her mind suddenly surfaced, causing images to flash before her eyes. She saw her hands reaching out slowly, clawing at the ground to drag her body out of a cave illuminated by a sinister crimson light; she saw a man with long, unkempt ash blond hair approach her through her fading consciousness; she saw the man lift her upper body with an arm supporting her back, allowing her to see his turquoise eyes speckled with red dots up close; she saw him bring his face closer to hers as her eyelids fluttered shut, and the next thing she knew, she had woken up on a crying Kazuya's lap with the crackling fire accompanying his sobs of relief.
"Y-you..." she quietly began, "Who are-"
"Last time too, I found you in this state," 'Albedo' interjected, chuckling, "Tormented by the Abyssal energy that was clashing with your Celestial energy... How ironic it is that we reunite in the same way we first met."
"I... don't know..." (y/n) mumbled, feeling her consciousness slipping away.
"It's fine if you don't remember the name you gave me. I never expected you to anyway." He then lifted her upper body off the snow and cupped her cheek, before angling her face so that she was looking straight at him. "Hey, knock yourself out already. I don't want to feel awkward doing this while you're still half-conscious."
Unable to stay awake any longer, (y/n) finally succumbed and went limp in his arms.
"... She really did knock out right after," he remarked. As his gaze lingered on her face, he noticed that her appearance hasn't changed at all despite the years that have passed; she still looks the same as she did when they first encountered each other in Wyrmrest Valley. Even though their meeting was brief, it left an everlasting impression on him.
With a quiet sigh escaping from his mouth, he leaned in and murmured, "I'm sorry." He then pressed his lips against hers and started absorbing the Abyssal energy running rampant inside her body, his hand moving down to hold hers against the snow. Her lips felt as soft as they did when he kissed her for the first time to remove the Abyssal energy from her system; that was the only ability he had that his copy didn't. He wasn't exactly sure why he's helping her, but perhaps that was a way for him to validate his own existence. Dark purple wisps exited her body and flowed into him during the transfer, and once a large proportion of Abyssal energy had been removed from her body, her eyelids fluttered open. Placing a hand on his chest, (y/n) light pushed him away from her, causing him to withdraw himself.
"What... what are you doing?" she gasped out. 'Albedo' didn't answer her and instead kissed her once more to continue absorbing the Abyssal energy. He held the back of her head with his other hand so she couldn't pull herself away, before breaking the kiss again the moment he had completely removed the substance clashing with her Celestial energy.
"Albedo... Why did you do that...?" (y/n) questioned once more, feeling her lips tingle slightly from the intimate contact.
"It was to save you. If I allowed the Abyssal energy to remain inside your body, you'd have broken down and died the next day," he softly replied, "I couldn't just leave you like that when I have the ability to help you."
His words resonated with her. The ability to help... She has the ability to help and save thousands of people. Grasping one of his shoulders for support, she carefully sat up.
"I have to go to Mondstadt City immediately. Innocent lives are being threatened," she said grimly.
'Albedo' narrowed his eyes at her. "Why are you risking so much for the people who have nothing to do with you? It's not like you'll be affected if they perish."
He's got a point. She won't be affected at all if the entirety of Mondstadt was swallowed in darkness, and she was never given the order to protect any other country besides Khaenri'ah, which has been destroyed a long time ago.
However, if she were to let an entire city that welcomed her with warmth get wiped out, will she truly have no regrets?
"It's like you said. I can't just leave the people of Mondstadt to suffer when I have the ability to help them. I... can't bear to watch anyone die again," she murmured. (Y/n) then clenched her fists as she stood up, her newfound purpose fueling her resolve to complete the mission assigned to her none other by herself. "Protecting the humans that are weaker than me is my mission."
He expelled a loud sigh and pinched the bridge of his nose. "If you're going to march straight into your grave, I suppose I'll have to remind you of the name you gave me when we first met." Firmly meeting her gaze, he rose to his feet as familiar red specks decorated his irises. "I am Rubedo. It's nice to see you again... (Y/n), was it?"

“What's everyone’s next lesson?” Yanfei asked as you all crowded around a lunch table. She was throwing resource materials in her bag after tutoring Hu Tao all of lunch in hopes she doesn’t fail her next exam. “Double Music with José. He lets me do whatever I want so it’s kinda chill.” Venti answered, scoffing down the remains of everyone else's lunch. “Don't you have a house captain meeting after school?” Yoimiya asked, and visible wrinkles creased into Venti’s top brow. “Did you have to remind me?! Just thinking of being stuck in a room with the Shogun, Childe’s dildo and the Tsaritsa of all people makes me wanna barf.” “That may also be the vodka you're hiding in your metal water bottle.” Yanfei’s comment escaped her lips in a sigh as she forced her bag onto the empty seat beside her. “Don't snitch on me, slut!” “Xiangling’s already gone home?” I asked, turning attention away from Venti as he chugs down the rest of his ‘water’. “Yeah, said she’s gotta help her dad at the restaurant.” Yoimiya hoisted her bag onto her back and stretched. “See you later, I'm going to netball practice.” She waved a little as she turned her back and exited the canteen. We all said our bye’s as she disappeared out of the room. “I’ll be following them.” You continued as you dragged your bag off the floor and threw it over your shoulder. “Get a lesson?” Hu Tao asked, lifting her head from her note book where she was trying to physically force the revision into her head. “Nah. I’m done for the day.” “You know you don't have to stay for lunch if you don't have any lessons.” Yanfei reminded you as you collected your phone and lanyard from off the table. “Yeah but I always seem to miss things when I leave before lunch. Like when Xiangling decked a year seven for jumping the lunch line and Venti got stuck in the fold-away lunch table.” “It got stuck on my belt! Clearing the bitch wanted to fight.” Venti tried to defend but was soon silenced by Yanfei’s sharp tongue. “And the inanimate object won.” So he chose to take a chug from his water bottle again and pout. “Yep. Anyway, I'll see you tomorrow.” “Byeeee.”

“Have a good time, malyshka.” Your dad’s last message laid on your mind, unable to move or leave. Yeah, having eight year olds running about really sounded like fun. Almost as fun as the ALS session waiting for you tomorrow. You thought about skipping it but you realised that by doing that, your parents would find out and somehow make this horrible situation even worse. It stung, honestly. They had never been harsh on you since you were a ‘delicate’ kid. Childe liked to say that was why you always got out of difficult situations. That Mum and dad were too frightened to be harsh with you since you might break. Like you were a glass doll. Clearly, that had changed. Clearly they didn't give a shit anymore because who cuts their own child off when they do bad in school? You had heard about it in movies and stuff but never expected it to become your reality. “I’m homeeee.” You didn’t need Teucer’s yell to announce his arrival. Him throwing the door into the wall was all you needed. You forced yourself off the sofa and to the entryway to find your younger brother kicking his shoes off in the doorway and a small girl behind him. “Hi Teucer.” You greeted him with a sigh, already feeling exhausted. “[Nameeeee]” He tackled you into a hug, jumping from space to space like a rabbit on acid. “[Name]! This is my friend Klee! Klee, this is my big sister [Name]!” You looked at the girl he dragged in, finding her undoubtedly adorable. Her cheeks were plush and pinchable, her hair was a sandy blonde with a red bunny pin in and her eyes were as big as the sky at twilight. Red sky at night, shepherds delight. “Hi! I’m Klee!” Your knees were bending before you noticed you’d crouched down to her height. “Nice to meet you, I’m [name].” Realising your weakness to this kid, you quickly pulled yourself up and away from her, looking in the direction of the kitchen. “How would you kids like to make some cookies with me?” That seemed like a good idea. Fill the children up on sugar and home that they tire themselves out or something. You could always made wee- NO! We don't drug kids. That sounds like a crime allegation that will definitely send you to prison. And anyway, you don't have access to that kinda stuff. Anyway, how difficult would it be to look after two little kids for a few hours?

Just for everyone who's unformal with x's at the end of texts, they are just a term of endearment from family and friends. It's normal in the uk to receive them from like your parents and close friends and it doesn't really mean anything but that.
But if they are received from like a stranger or a person your 'talking to' it can also mean flirting.
Thanks for reading x

Kaeya x traveller
Context: Klee asked Kaeya to go treasure hunting but also craved for something new or something like treasure hunting with a twist. So Kaeya, being the thoughtful and playful brother of Diluc, thought it would be a fun idea to have a treasure hunting race. However, seeing he’d like a little challenge for Diluc, he decided to have Klee team with Diluc as team one and have you accompany him for team two since you two had talked many times during resting hours and soon had made a bond he felt safe for him.
Tumblr media
“Klee thinks we will win!” Klee proudly shouts, her red eyes sparkling with thrill. Sands scattered everywhere as the child jumped enthusiastically, scaring crabs away and adding joy to the summer atmosphere of the sandy island just below a rocky cliff, shadowing half of it where you and Kaeya stood. Diluc sighs and looks at Kaeya. You tried reading his face, seeing annoyance and exhaustion with one look, most likely caused by his work. Diluc clearly did not want to do this. He looked stressed.
“And Kaeya thinks you’ll never cross the island in time. After all, none of you would be a good match for me. Melting my ice bridges despite the amount of effort I put into making it.” Kaeya says with a pretend-annoyed face, tilting his head up to the side with his eyes closed then diverting his eyes to the small Klee who’s laughing excitedly at him. Diluc closes his eyes and sighs. Kaeya smirks at him.
“Whatever this game is, we’ll get it done fast. I’m pretty sure there’s a boat nearby, we’ll get there before they can.” Diluc assured Klee who’s face looked as if it were beaming with joy. A sunlit child who can’t wait to open the wooden chest on the other island.
“We better do! But Captain Kaeya isn’t too selfish to not share the treasure right? If we didn’t get it?” There was a hint of worry despite the excitement in her voice and Diluc was quick to reassure her, “I know better treasures, though I don’t see the point of having them so I’ll give it all to you.”
“Yehey!!!” The child shouts happily with her little hands clapping loudly.
“Hey, you didn’t answer her question. I’ll answer it for you Klee. I’m. not. selfish.” Kaeya tells her with a soft smile. Klee looked at him, happier as she lightly giggles.
“Well, ready traveller?” Kaeya asks you as he turns around, his eyes meeting yours.
“You seem competitive about this.” You told him.
“Can’t let the cryo one lose here, you know? Since your anemo you can scatter my elements to the water and help make the ice bridge longer. Teamwork for the best results. Do you agree, traveller?”
“Of course.” You say.
Kaeya sighs. ”People always say I’m such a lazy captain. Think they can build an ice bridge as well as I can? Doubt it.” He says with a playful smirk as he stared towards the water. You nodded in response.
Finally, Kaeya counts down from three to one, and all of you prepared yourselves. Klee and Diluc will have to find a boat to get there and you two didn’t need to go anywhere besides in front of the ocean. Cryo and anemo seems like a good match afterall. After the count down, Kaeya begins to form ice on the water with you standing right behind him, ready to use your anemo powers while Klee and Diluc disappear behind the rocky mountain next to the island.
As you and Kaeya proceeded to go on ice bridging for 20 minutes, Kaeya finally sits down heavily, sighing with exhaust, his chest rising and falling fast. “Quite exhausting, don’t you think? Not what I expected, but the bridge made it this far thanks to you. Why not rest for a while? Those two won’t go past us sooner anyway.” He says with his soothing voice, looking up at you as he sat on the ice, a small smile plastered on his face. “Does your butt ever freeze?” You ask. It was just out of curiosity. You wondered whether the cold affected him too. Maybe a good way to know is to visit Dragonspine, not to mention you had to go near every place of warmth because the sheer cold numbs you too much. You hate that place. The adventurers guild low-key doesn’t pay you enough everytime you go through rough journey. “Haha, worried for me? How flattering. No, it doesn’t. Does it freeze you? Well, too bad. But you can just fold your knees and let your feet support you. It’s not exactly sitting. But it might help you rest.” He told you and you did as he said willingly. A few seconds passed by and Kaeya peacefully admired the summer view around you two. It seemed perfectly good to be alone together. Just enjoying the world around with nobody else but the two of you next to each other, distracted by the afternoon sky and the warmth of the sun. It felt like the most comforting silence but you didn’t let it distract you from the fact you’re on an ice bridge. You tapped Kaeya by the shoulder, telling him the ice might melt off but he convinced you that it won’t so soon. Suddenly, you felt the ice get slippery beneath your shoes. Fear ran through you and you grabbed Kaeya’s shoulder just in time to shout his name. But not in time to form another ice bridge.
Victory for you two plunged deep within the waters as the ice melted away into freezing cold water. You two fell the same time as the ice melted fast. You swam your way up, the freezing water biting your skin and your mind desperate to reach the surface.
You gasped for air as you paddled your hands and feet calmly in the water to keep yourself afloat, Kaeya just right behind you. “Kaeya! What in the world were you doing?!” You shouted at him as you turned around to face him, aware that you sounded angry and upset but didn’t care about it at all.
“Looking out? Sorry... I didn’t mean it. I was distracted by-” “We’re wet. It’s best you start another ice bridge. I’m freezing. Can you?” “What?” He asked. “Form another ice bridge?” You clarified. “I can’t. I’m surrounded by water. There’s not enough space for me to focus on my elemental energy.” Just as you slapped your forehead with your right hand out of disappointment for Kaeya’s carelessness, the sound of loud humming and rippling waves hit your ears. On your left, Diluc and Klee are on a boat, looking like it was made by Albedo. The yellow glow of Geo shines on its front. “Now, look who it is....” Diluc says mockingly with his left foot stepping on the boat’s front tip, his elbow placed above his knee. “Looks like we’re not made for the winning side hm? Now go and grab the traveller first, the cold is just a tickle to me.” He told Diluc as he paddled to keep himself afloat in the water. As Diluc helped you get up on the boat, you glared at Kaeya. But Kaeya was too busy staring at something else. Something else you know could attract him after the weird, butterflies in the stomach type of situations you two have been having recently. A tension clung to the air between you two everytime silence stretches and the gap between you two sometimes made you feel the urge to get closer to him. You can tell he feels it too, after those days he would purposely smell your hair or secretively brush his hand against yours, only for you to step a couple inches away from him because you felt shy. He would purposely flirt with you differently than how he flirtatiously talks with others. There was a tease and a mix of tenderness that lies with his words and you sometimes can’t help but talk back and finds it comforting that he is so open to you. And only you. As water dripped from your clothes, Kaeya saw the outline of your body. The tightness of the clinging wet fabrics made it possible to show your curves that you blushed too hard because you felt embarrassed. As soon as Kaeya saw it, he swam closer to the boat.
He grabbed the railings of the boat, and pushed himself up, the wind blowing wildly and brushing past his skin but the chill didn’t matter. He looked at Diluc with eyes Diluc rarely ever saw and said, “Diluc, give your coat to her.” Diluc gave him a confused look, not about the coat. But his tone seemed... suddenly serious. Diluc handed over his coat to Kaeya slowly, understanding the message he sends to him with his eyes. Diluc knew those eyes meant he— Kaeya was feeling protective.
As Klee helped you walk to one of the wooden seats attached to the boat, Kaeya soon followed along, wrapping Diluc’s coat on you as you sat.  “Look, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to cause the ice bridge to melt.” He said apologetically. It didn’t sound half-hearted. It sounded real and out of guilt. His eyes were looking down, as if to avoid his eyes from meeting yours. You felt bad for shouting at him earlier but your reaction only made sense. The clothing was special to you. Your still lost sibling and you have always had matching clothes and it was important. An additional problem would be the freezing water. But enough of that, you are both safe on the boat now. “Kaeya, what matters is we’re safe. Just don’t get distracted next time. Or the cold water would finish you off.” You say gently, not realizing your hand had already reached his wrist. “Always thinking about others, aren’t you?” Kaeya says with a soft smile. You look at him, smiling softly back and keeping your left hand fill the gaps between his right hand’s fingers. Your eyes met his with a feeling of deep longing. Like you two have always wanted to look at each other this way.
Your hand and his remained closed. No gap to cause the longing for physical touch, just fingers intertwined firmly for the comfort of having each other. “Klee thinks now we should all win because we are getting the treasure altogether!!!” The bright child proudly says. She looked like she never lost an energy eversince the start of the race.
You and Kaeya snapped out of your bubble. You two had suddenly forgotten where you were, making you two let out a small giggle as you two realized how taken away you were by the small loving moment. As Diluc drives the boat to treasure island, Klee jumps excitedly while two huddle close to each other. And after arriving upon the island, the two pyros go for the treasure but Kaeya knew he had a better treasure he got now that he so long wanted and you knew you just had that too.  Kaeya Alberich.
Your treasure is him. His treasure is you.

Echoes and Experiments: Chapter 3
Mieko sat outside of the Dawn Winery, painting. Diluc had commissioned her to make him something, so she went right to work on it. It took her a couple of days, and she was debating about what to do next, since she'd been away from the shop for a bit. She looked up and her eyes went wide to see Albedo standing in front of her. “Albedo…?” She blinked.
“He came looking for you.” Diluc stated from nearby, Mieko glancing at her friend.
“Ah, I did say I would be returning soon.” She said, smiling a little. Albedo seemed… Anxious? “Is something bothering you, Albedo?” She asked, tilting her head at him.
“Mieko. I was hoping… Perhaps, you would like to come to Liyue with me?”
“To… To Liyue?” She asked, shocked. He explained that he was going for his work as an artist, and that Klee was currently occupied with Jean and Barbara. “I-I'd love to, but the shop…” she saw Albedo's expression fall a little, her heart sinking.
“I think it would be a good idea for you to take a vacation.” Diluc stated. “You have always wanted to go and see the Lantern Rite. It happens to be soon, doesn't it?” He stated.
“Well, yes, but Diluc I can't afford to-”
“If you don't take a break, and you end up burning out, you'll be out of work for more than just a 2 week travel and vacation.” he stated.
“I have plenty of mora saved up, so I can very easily pay for us both for the whole trip.” he retorts to her mention of not being able to afford it.
“I made you come all the way out here to take a break from the city, Mie. But I believe Albedo is better suited to making you relax, isn’t he?” Diluc questioned her knowingly. Even without telling him, he knew when she was comfortable around someone.
“I agree. And…. I would greatly enjoy your companionship.” He agrees with Diluc’s insistence. Mieko was completely defeated, smiling and chuckling.
“Oh, alright.” She said softly, taking Albedo's hand as he helped her up.
“Then, go with Albedo to Liyue.” He essentially ordered in his deadpan voice, Mieko smiling at him.
“Yes, Master Diluc.” She replied, handing him her completed painting.
“Your payment for the commission will be waiting here for you, so stop in for a meal and that before you go.” He insisted, heading back to the building with her work. She turned to Albedo, smiling at him.
“Shall we take a walk first?” She asked, taking his hand and walking around the winery with him. “I used to come here as a teenager, when my grandfather was still training me.” She stated. “It's still a very peaceful place.”
“I can see that. You were so relaxed I almost didn't want to interrupt you.” Albedo replied. “But I am glad I did.”
“I am too.” She smiled at him. “So, let's go inside and then we'll go?” she walked with him happily, enjoying their leisurely pace.
-
“You there, the traveling couple.” the girl in rhe large brimmed hat said, pointing at them. “Your future looks bright. Shall I tell your fortune?”
“Um… Our fortune…?” Mieko tilted her head. “Why are you telling fortunes all the way out here in the middle of nowhere?” This question caught the woman off guard, Mieko smiling.
“N-No particular reason.” she replied. Mieko turned to Albedo, tilting her head.
“Want your fortune told, Albedo? Or shall we just go?” she asked. Clearly this young lady was hoping Mieko was the type to want a love fortune or something, judging by the dismay on her face when she asked Albedo if they should go. He shook his head. “There's no need, sorry my dear.” Mieko said to Mona. As they were about to leave, though, Mieko heard a growling noise. She stopped, turning to look at Mona holding her stomach. “Goodness. Hungry?”
“I… N-No. I just-”
“Don't be shy.” Mieko chuckled. “It's about time for dinner. Shall we stop for the night, Albedo? We can continue in the morning.”
“Very well, Mie.” Albedo replied. The two made camp and started the food, the younger woman's stomach growling louder.
“It's almost done, don't worry.” Mieko said cheerfully. When the food was ready, Mieko dished up a bowl for the girl before giving Albedo his, then taking hers last. Mona polished off the bowl quickly, Mieko giving her another serving. “Don't eat too fast.” She advised, Albedo watching her. After they were done, they began to have a conversation.
“I'm Mona… And you are…?” She asked Albedo, since Mieko was cleaning her knife
“My name is Albedo.” he replied, shaking her hand. “And this is my partner. Mieko.”
“You can call me Mie.”
“Thank you for the meal… I… I'm sorry I don't have anything to pay you with.”
“You can repay us in information.” Albedo stated, asking Mona questions about her craft. Then about her teacher. “That must be B.”
“You know of the hag??” Mona questioned. “Are you perhaps the student or relative of one of the others???”
“I might be.” He chuckled. Mieko got up to stretch, Albedo turning to her. “Are you alright?”
“Ah, don’t mind me.” She replied. “You two keep talking.” She said, smiling at Albedo before walking over to a rock and climbing up onto it. She stared at the sky, tilting her head to the side. Albedo though, excused himself from talking with Mona and walked over to her.
“Something is bothering you.” He told her once he was on top of the rock with her.
“I just want to give you some space to talk to someone your age.” Albedo looked up at her, sighing softly.
“Mie. Dear.” he said, taking her hand. “You know if something makes you uncomfortable, I want you to tell me.”
“I know.” She replied. “I promise. It's nothing.” She stated. Albedo didn't let go of her hand, standing there with her.
“Reassurance makes you feel better, right?” He asked.
“You remembered.” Mieko smiled sweetly at him.
“I do my best to remember things that will be a comfort to you.” He smiled back.
Meanwhile, Mona stared at them, watching them with a smile on her face. Even from this distance, she felt so warm and fuzzy watching them. She curled up and closed her eyes to give them some privacy.
-
The next morning, Mieko opened her bag and gave Mona some of the Mora from her payment for Dilucs's commission, wraped in a pouch along with their leftover breakfast. “It isn't much, but you can have that.” she smiled. “It would be smart of you not to approach the way you do. Be gentler.” She stated.
“And don't make assumptions like you did with me.” She added. She turned to Albedo and walked away with him, Mona still stunned by the food, eyes widening further at the little pouch of Mora she'd also been given.
“You didn't have to give her Mora.” Albedo reminded Mieko.
“She seemed like a good soul, even though she didn't seem to have much tact.” She smiled.
“But aren't you saving for your shop rent?”
“Nn, it was just enough for her to buy a substantial little meal, so I don't mind. I gave up a little of my personal Mora for a good cause.” She told him. “I don't like seeing young ones suffer.” She added.
“You aren't that much older, Mie.”
“Even so. She's a baby in that respect.” She added. “Now, where shall we go once we're in the harbor?” She asked. “I'm keeping to whatever schedule you have, Albedo.” She added.
-
They have a pleasant first day in Liyue, Albedo not meeting his author until the next day. But now, after a string of events and having been gifted a dress by a strange young man, Mieko stood in front of Albedo. He was strangely nervous for once. It wasn't a huge difference from normal, but it had become obvious to Mieko. She listened attentively, as always when he talked about something. He wasn't at a loss for words but also not as articulate as he was normally. “I know it is difficult for you leave your shop behind… I… I thought a respite would be nice, but you don't seem to be enjoying yourself.” Mieko found it adorable that he was worrying about her, and that he was even a bit worried that she wasn't enjoying herself. When he stopped talking, she walked closer to him, offering her hand.
“Albedo.” She smiled. “I wouldn't be here if I didn't want your company… and I don't mind at all, if that's what you want from our time together.” She added, gently caressing the back of his hand with her thumb through his glove. “I have been feeling… trepidatious, thanks to my past… I always feel like if I let myself be too happy, I'll lose someone.” She said softly.
“You… Are afraid to be happy?” he asked, sounding surprised.
“I am terrified.” She smiled at him. “But with you… I cannot help myself. And I feel like, maybe… Just maybe, I can pretend for a little while to be happy.”
“Mie…”
“I lost 3 people when my happiness was more than just the everyday sort of contentment… I don't want to lose anyone else… Especially not you, Albedo… I've grown too fond of you. If anything happened to you, I'd… Well, I don't know really, what I'd do…” she said in a whisper.
“I… I am still… I have had a lot on my mind, for quite some time.” he replied. She stared back, lost in his turquoise eyes as he stared.
“And what exactly… Is on that beautiful mind of yours, Albedo? What do you want of me?” She asked. She barely even felt nervous at this point. Something about his eyes stirred feelings she didn't know she could have. She reached up with her other hand, caressing his cheek gently, smiling as he leaned into it a little. “Does that feel alright? I'm sorry if my hand is a bit cold.” She added.
“It’s… There’s a lot. Including urges.” he whispers. He leans into her hand as she cups his cheek. “Yes. It… I…” he begins, leaning in to close the gap between them and tentatively touching his lips to hers, just barely, as if he wasn't entirely sure of what to do regarding kissing. Rather than pulling away, she leaned into his kiss before she smiled and pulled back.
“First time kissing?” She asked as he nodded numbly in response, stunned. “It's okay, I'm not very experienced either.” She smiled. “But I can at least make your second one a little more… profound. If you'd like to do it again.” She said, cheeks red. Every fiber of her being screamed for him, begged for more of his touch, of the feeling of his lips on hers. All she wanted was Albedo, and she would do anything to get more. When he leaned in again, she cupped both his cheeks and kissed him slowly, lovingly, pouring her very little experience kissing into what she and Albedo were doing. He melted into her touch, eyes sliding shut and arms going around her. She adored the warmth from his lips, from the way he leaned into her, and from his hands on her. She craved more when they pulled apart, cheeks flushed and heart pounding in her ears. “Was that alright…?”
“I’ve… I have no basis for comparison. Having never experienced that before… But I would like to do it again.” He added quickly.
“Ah, then you too…” she leaned her forehead against his, smiling. “I hope this isn't too fast… but let's keep going for a while…” she said. “Something tells me you'll end up being better at this than I am by the end of the night. Kissing, I mean.” She smiled sweetly at him. “You pick up everything so fast.” They spent a while just getting comfortable back in their lodgings, touching one another slowly, playing with each other's hair as they kissed and in the aftermath. Mieko had never felt so safe, so content… so happy. Albedo liked her enough to do this, to allow for this. She nuzzled him between kisses, whispering to him how beautiful she thought he was, embarrassed but clearly enjoying herself. She would say his name lovingly and kiss him softly on the cheeks between the longer, more affectionate and passionate kisses on the lips, enjoying every second. Mieko laid next to Albedo, watching him as he stared at her, nearly asleep. “Get some rest, Albedo. You're obviously tired.” she said softly. As he fell asleep, she kissed the top of his head gently. She wanted to protect him, love on him, make him stop thinking. Showering him in sweet, gentle love and affection seemed to work wonders for this. She did her best to settle her heart down, soon falling asleep as well.
-
After having a pleasant Lantern Rite and getting more comfortable showing one another affection, they returned to Mondstadt, and after a few months more it was almost time for Albedo's birthday. “Are you two doing anything special?” Lisa teased Mieko as she sat with them for afternoon tea. “Going to dinner? Oh, are you maybe cooking for him before you get into it?”
“Hm?” Mieko tilted her head. “I don't know. I'm probably going to make him some Sunshine Sprat.”
“Is that all? Goodness, you two aren't going to have more fun???”
“Lisa, hush.” Jean scolded her. “You know Mie would never move that fast.”
“But Jean, aside from that one ex of hers, she's never-”
“Lisa.” Mieko’s tone was sharp for once with her friend. “I don't need you telling me how to pursue my relationship with Albedo.”
“Oh… Yes, yes, I'm sorry Mie.” She replied, smiling. “Forgive me.”
-
Once Mieko left, she felt listless, taking a deep breath. She hadn't seen Albedo since they returned to the city. She put a hand to her heart, feeling lonely. “Damn it, Mieko. You're supposed to be able to detach… You can't rely on him to always mitigate your loneliness. It isn't his job.” She mumbled to herself. She walked to her home, eyes widening to see Albedo standing there at her door. “A-Albedo?”
“Oh, Mie.” He said, smiling once he turned to her. “I was about to come and find you.” He walked over, offering a single Cecilia Blossom to her. “Would you… Mind accompanying me for a bit?”
“Not at all.” She smiled, following him out of the city and up the path to Dragonspine. “Are we… Going to perform an experiment?” She asked him.
“You could say that.” He replied. They walked in silence to his camp, Mieko finally speaking up once there.
“You're nervous again.” She said as she sat down. “What's bothering you?”
“Nothing, really…”
“Albedo.” She looked up at him as he stood next to her. “Please, tell me?” she asked, taking his hand. “I'll do anything to help, if I can.” she added.
“I… Well, you see…” he sat down next to her. “I was hoping to ask you for something…”
“Of course, whatever you need. Is it for your birthday?” She asked, smiling as his cheeks tinted pink. “Ah, did I guess correctly?”
“I really need to study how you do that.”
“No, don't change the subject, Albedo.” She teased. She reached up and cupped his cheeks, smiling. “Tell me? Please?” She asked sweetly.
“I… Was hoping… If you don't mind, of course… Could we try and be a bit more… Intimate? For my birthday?” he asked. “Perhaps we could try and hold one another while we sleep…? Or if you wouldn't mind, we could try…?”
“Try?”
“Fornicating.” Mieko's eyes went wide when he said that, cheeks red. She stared at Albedo, stunned that he suggested it. They sat in silence, Albedo anticipating rejection, or for her to laugh. But she just stared, unmoving. Both of their heartbeats were almost audible in the silence of the mountain, the only other sound being the soft crackles of the fire and the slight breeze rustling the trees. “If you would prefer not to, I will ask for something else.” he said finally.
“N-No, it's fine but…” She stared. “You… Want to take it that far with me…?” She asked. “I'm not very much to look at, I… I didn't think that would interest you, either.” She replied, cheeks burning.
“Well… If there was anyone I would be interested in testing the parameters with, it would be you.” he replied. “You've never once turned down my experiment requests… And you willingly allowed me to experiment with a relationship with you…” he said in response. “So I thought, perhaps, you would be amiable to the idea… Was my assumption incorrect? Or perhaps, you are saving yourself for marriage?”
“Ah, no, nothing like that.” she shook her head. “I've had sex before, once or twice. But…” She sighed. “I don't think I'm good enough at it to give you a proper data set…”
“Well, the data is still pertaining to you, Mieko. So… It would be proper for what I'm testing.”
“Oh? You're… Testing me, then?”
“In a sense, yes.” He nodded. “I have experimented with it before, but only ever watching. I have never touched someone else.” He stated. “I… Wish to attempt it.”
“Ah, so we don't have to go all the way? That's fine.” She said, embarrassed about the thought. She was almost relieved.
“I only wish to go as far as you are comfortable with. After all, I would hate to upset you. You might be upset enough to call off the experiment.”
“I see…” She smiled. “Well, if that's what you want for your birthday, I'll oblige. However…”
“However?”
“Please remember to uphold Your end of the bargain. And don't toy with my heart.”

Vincent was quite confused by the sudden change in Nigredo's tone but then calmed seeing how he reacted normally with Rubedo.
Lily let go of the two elemental creatures as she stood besides her father looking at the beautiful lady talking to the two from this nation.
Vincent bowed his head respectful of the Lady and said with calm tone yet delighted "good evening, Miss Kokomi. My name is Vincent. I'm a researcher. And this is my daughter" he gently placed his hand on the top of her head.
Lily mimic her dad and bowed too "hello~, beautiful mermaid lady~. My name is Lily~! Nice to meet you~!" She said with sweet smile, causing her father to giggle "no, dear. Miss Kokomi" he corrected her and she nodded and said again "Hello~, Miss Kokomi~! Nice to meet you~" this time having a little pink dusting her cheeks but still having her bright smile.
The Hydro specter float over to Kokomi as to meet her? It seemed curious yet again while the Geo one headed to Gorou since they are free of the vessel now.
Kokomi chuckled at the nickname. “It’s alright,” she said. “Children liken me to such creatures all the time. It’s actually quite flattering.” She nodded at Vincent. “Mm, someone was expecting your arrival.”
She squealed as the Hydro specter approached her. “Why is there a…?”
“It’s alright, Your Excellency,” Gorou said, tentatively patting the Geo specter. “They’re friendly.”
“So specters can be tamed,” the priestess mused. “I wonder if they can be trained like samurai dogs so their innate elemental abilities can be weaponized…”
“How have you been, Lady Sangonomiya?” Kazuha asked.
“Things have been a bit busier than usual lately due to the upcoming celebration,” said the priestess, “but overall, my mental energy reserves have been faring much better since the success of the rebellion. What about you?”
“That’s good to hear,” Kazuha said. “I’ve been well, traveling here and there. One of my most recent ventures was to a strange archipelago off the coast of Mondstadt. The company was a rather peculiar and lively bunch.”
“Ah, that’s right,” Albedo said. “Mona and Fischl told me all about it when I treated them to lunch one day. They seem to have really bonded from that excursion. Apparently, the area had changed quite a bit since I had been there the previous summer. It had originally been set up as a system of puzzles and games by my mother for Klee.” Cheeks dusting pink when he realized he was rambling, the alchemist shook his head. “I-in any case—” he turned to Kokomi and bowed. “My name is—”
“Is that Albedo I see??” came a loud, cheerful voice. The artist startled as teal eyes zeroed in on the source; another young woman, this one wearing a bright orange kimono and her blonde hair done up, her whole outfit adorned with golden bells and red ropes, several tattoos patterning her skin. She sprinted over to the group, a big sunny smile on her face.
“Yoimiya,” Albedo greeted with a nod.
“It’s so great to see you again so soon after the Irodori Festival! And what great timing, too! Now you can actually see what my family and I do best~! Oh! Speaking of which, did you bring Klee with you?”
Albedo shook his head. “Not this time, but I did bring my older brother and my nephew.” He gestured to the two figures identical to him. “This is Nigredo and Rubedo.”
“Um… How come Rubedo looks exactly like you guys?”
“That’s because he’s actually a whopperflower,” Nigredo said. “A very special kind that I made myself, so I consider him my child.”
Rubedo waved cheerfully at Yoimiya, feeding off her energy despite the lack of sunlight starting to affect him. “It’s nice to meet you!”
“Oh right!” Yoimiya clapped her hands together. “Kokomi, this is Albedo, a high-ranking member of Mondstadt’s Knights of Favonius!”
“Chief Alchemist and Captain of the Investigation Team to be precise,” Albedo said. “But I’m just here for leisure and to help my brother collect some samples of local flora for his research.”
“Oh,” said Kokomi. “If you’re an investigator, there’s someone else on this island I think you may get along with. But that can wait until tomorrow. Your nephew seems to be fading…”
As if on cue, Rubedo let out a loud yawn. “Sorry… No sunlight means sleepy flower…”

Imagines
- You said something stupid confidently -
Tumblr media
Kaeya would stare at you and start laughing. He thought you were joking. You very much were not. He will always make fun of you for this, it'll always be his little inside joke against you.
The face Amber was giving you said it all. She was trying to hide the fact that she felt second hand embarrassment but just couldn't. She went on and explained to the best of her knowledge how that was so wrong.
The sharp sound of Lisas book closing could be heard. She was so disappointed that someone she cared about was so stupid. She was the Librarian of Mondstadt, she had a reputation. Study sessions would be taking place very soon
Jean would look at you in disbelief, did you really just say that? Did you not learn anything throught your years at school? She's flabbergasted that you've made it this far in the world with that knowledge
Nothing could have prepared Eula for the stupidity that left your mouth. She claimed to get vengeance agains the stupid things you tried to teach her. Her vengeance was just teaching you how what you said was wrong.
The knights maid Noelle was very smart and knew what she was doing so for you to say such incorrect things was almost insulting. She would take time out of her very busy schedule to teach you about the topics you had little to no correct knowledge about
Not a word left Dilucs mouth as he stared at you, he's delt with idiots before but never this stupid. You were so confident too it pained him. He won't make fun of you but leave explaining more complicated things to him.
Albedo stoped in his tracks when he heard you. He was an alchemist, a very smart and talented one. What would people think if they knew he was dating such an idiot. He'll explain to you how what you said was so incorrect.
Another very talented alchemist Sucrose was very willing to teach and debate with yiu why you think this was. She was kind about it and took her time with you while explaining how what you said what wrong.
The wind arounds you stop as Venti starts cackling at you. He might be dumb but he's not that dumb. He will make fun of you for days, you brought this upon yourself when you decided to be a dumbass
Bennett agrees with you and starts telling everyone what you said. Everyone has deemed you two as idiots, nobody takes advice from either of you anymore.
Razor has no idea what you're saying so he just agrees. He continues eating as he listens to you bable this incorrect nonsense. He tells Lisa about it later that day and now Lisa has to undo all the damage you've done.
Nobody has seen Fischl drop character so fast. She looks on at you in shock that you actually said that unironically. She's finally realized all the people she hangs around are just idiots. Except for OZ of course
Xiangling almost burned her food after hearong what you said. She was confused on weather or not yoi were serious. When she found out you were dead serious she was very disappointed.
Much like her sister Barbara looked at you in disbelief. You knowledge on the matter was not very...wide. what you said was very wrong so she had to teach you.
Rosaria already delt with so much today she didn't need to hear you add more to her headache with that dumbest thing you've ever said. She's extremely disappointed and just sigh while walking away
The amount of drunk people Diona has had to deal with made her seem a bit unphased at your stupidity. Though she still gave you a nasty look when you finished talking. You sounded like the drunkens at the taverns.
Klee would believe you aswell, she looks up to you as like an older sibling so it makes sense for her to believe. Though Jean and Albedo will have to have a talk with you about what you've been teaching Klee
Mona was very knowledgeable so to be hanging around idiots was not something she wanted to do. Alas she met you and had to deal with a lot of the very idiotic things you say, like today. She just stares at you and doesn't say anything, almost as if she's insulted or disgusted.
Zhongli stared at you. He had been around for many years and never once had he heard something as stupid and incorrect as the statement you just made. He never wants to hwar you debate something with him ever again
The funeral home director Hu Tao may be seen as silly or dumb but she wasn't this dumb. She's done so questioable things but this just draws the line. She was getting second hand embarrassment from you.
Yun Jin was just trying to enjoy her evening but you just needed to speak up. She had a face of utter horror when you were done speaking. Please never say that again
Xinyan pulled you aside and explained how what you said was wrong. Another for patient and understanding person. Though she will tease you about this for a little while after.
Never in Xingqius life has he been more disappointed in a person ever, and he's friends with Chongyun. Chongyun has says some questionable things but dear lord it was never that stupid. No more book debates for you.
Another person that believes you would be Chongyun, especially if it was about ghosts and spirits. I mean he's barely ever gotten to exercise a ghost so it's believe to him.
Shenhe would just ignore you, she would walk away from you. She needs to be respected and if she's around someone as dumb as you she won't get that respect.
Another that would walk away would be Keqing. She stares at you for a second then makes up an excuse to get back to work. She doesn't need the trusted people of Loyue to know she hangs out woth some who thinks loke that...
Nigguang would ask you why you think that way then calmly explain to you in every last detail how that is incorrect. She's not very patient She's more in her business persona now.
The entire crew and Beidou just look at you. Some feel the embarrassment, others agreeing. While most just giving you weird looks. This has to be one of the most embarrassing days for you.
The forgetful zombie QiQi has no idea what you're aayong so she'll just nod and end up forgetting like two minuets later. You could tell QiQi anything, wrong or right and she'll just agree because she has no idea what you're talking about.
Yanfei will think about how you even got your hands on this knowledge. She is not understanding and she will never understand. Why, just why ddi you say that. Why do you think this way.
Ganyu doesn't say anything but change the topic. She feels second hand embarrassment but wants to be a kind adepti so she doesn't say anything.
Xiao will teleport away. He doesn't have time for this, he'd rather have his karma eat him up than listen to you say that ever again. He knew humans were dumb but he never thought they could get that stupid.
Arataki Itto agrees. Theres nothing more I need to say, he'll agree with every dumb thing you say because he genuinely believes you are always correct. You two will soon be the dumbest people to ever step foot on Tevat.
Ayaka just looks at you and giggles. She explains what you actually meant to say and is another bery patient one. She enjoys the time you two can share together.
My boy Thoma is so disappointed. He has spoken to Itto before so he knows stupid but...really. why you? He explains how that was dumb but he feels bad that no one told you differently this whole time.
Kazuha doesn't saything, he doesn't even look at you. You had said something so stupid that you broke him. He feels so bad too because he could tell you sounded confident.
Nothing prepared Kokomi for that. She had been through was but still, nothing could prepare her for the things you said. The confidence in your voice hurt her, she feels like she's failed you.
Gorou gets second hand embarrassment, he just needs you to stop taling right now. Just please shut you're beautiful mouth, you sound oh so stupid right now.
Ei also agrees with you, she's been confined in her own mind for so long she doesn't know any diffrent. When she starts telling other people like Sara they question the fact that they once believed everything she said was the truth and absolute
Sara would again stare at you and just call you an idiot. She didn't have time to deal with another stupid kid in Inazuma. Itto was already more than she could handle.
Yoimiya thought you sounded like one of the kids and she was already adjusted to teaching the kids about thing they didn't know so she was very quick to explain everything to you.
The sleepy ninja Sayu just ingored you and went back to sleep. She didn't care enough to listen to the bullshit you pulling from your ass.

Reader’s Gender: Neutral
Warning: none
[aether, childe, diluc, kaeya, venti]
Tumblr media
Albedo
As much as Albedo wants to remember your birthday, he just forgets because of many things running through his mind. Especially when it comes to new discovery. He’ll be so sorry when he remembered that your birthday was today-
At first, Albedo had a hard time looking for you. He asked everyone- yes even Diluc, Kaeya, Jean, Klee, everyone- but no one has seen you. Which made him worried since no one has seen you the entire day—
He would literally tear down Mondstadt trying to find you until he remembered that he hasn’t check your house yet. When he finds that you’ve been locked up in your room the entire day, it literally broke his heart- ;w;
He would feel like it’s his fault that you don’t feel special, like bro- he would have a sad puppy face on. He will put his hands on either side of your face and make you face him-
“You are special. You are like the sun. You are like a (God/Goddess). Even if you don’t feel special yourself, you’re special to me. And since you’re my beloved, my (prince/princess), you deserve all the happiness and love in the world. You deserve to feel special on your special day. So smile, I don’t want to see any tears.”
Albedo would do anything you want, probably to make up his forgetfulness- :p if you want cuddles, then cuddles you’ll get. If you want a cake or something, he’ll try to bake something, no promises though. (Its the thought that counts, right? 👀).
Albedo would use his ability of drawing and bringing them to life. He would draw all sorts of things, bunnies, squirrels, flowers, and others. He knew that you love watching him draw and bringing them to life. It honestly warms his heart knowing you love what he’s passionate about.
If you want, Albedo could talk to you about all the things he found out recently. All of the research and things he discovered. If you ever question some things regarding about what he discovered, he would happily try to explain it. (It’s honestly adorable seeing him explaining the things he discovered in his research- 🤧)
At the end of the day (around 11-), he would cuddle with you while laying beside you. Every so often, he would press a kiss on your head.
“Happy Birthday, my love. May many more to come... the next time your birthday come, I promise we’ll celebrate it together properly.”
Tumblr media
Scaramouche
If you think that Scaramouche doesn’t care about your birthday, then you’re right-! 😃 I’m joking- (unless-). He honestly wants to spend your birthday together with you, but his duty as a Harbinger comes first.
Believe me when I say he feels guilty. Leaving you alone on your special day is honestly low, even for him. He would definitely try to finish all of his missions immediately to get back to you. He would do whatever means necessary to finish them all immediately (he might or might not have sacrificed some people in the process- 👀).
You can imagine his confusion when he couldn’t find you anywhere. He already has something set up for you, all he needs is the birthday person themselves. But he couldn’t you anywhere.
Someone better tell him to check your room or else he would literally tear down the Fatui headquarters just to look for you-! He seriously need to manage his anger- 😓
Scaramouche would find it weird to he finds out that you’ve been in your room for the entire day. At first, he didn’t understand why you’re doing this. But soon, he’ll understand. Afterall, he might’ve done that before..
This guy has no manner whatsoever as he just entered your room like he owns the place- one look at you and the next thing you know is that he’s pampering you- like he’ll be preparing a bath for you and choosing an outfit for you (he’s a fashionista, change my mind 😃). Like bro, who are you and what happened to Scaramouche?
“Tsk. You’re quite a handful, you do know that, correct? Making me go through all this effort to comfort you. Now tell me, who put that idea on your head? Was it your family? Was it someone else? I honestly want to murder whoever put that idea in your pathetic head. ‘Not special to celebrate your birthday’? Ha! Don’t make me laugh. Everyone deserves to feel special, even if its for one day. Now, stop being stubborn and enjoy it-!”
Scaramouche would pamper you so much, like his personality did a 180- he would be pressing kisses all over your body and praising you like theres no tomorrow. He would help you dry yourself and put on the outfit he chose for you. If your hair is long, he would help styling it.
He would take you on a fancy dinner date (this guy is also rich, fite me—). He would honestly spoil you lmao- so enjoy it while it lasts- 😃
“Don’t expect this everyday, okay? I’m not gonna put much effort the next time... still.. happy birthday, my beloved. Don’t ever feel like you’re not special when you’re special to me.. if you ever feel sad, come to me. Thank you for putting up with me.”
Tumblr media
Xiao
(Yes I’ve remade the Xiao banner again- 🤧🤧 im very indecisive ik-)
Celebrating birthday? What’s that? Xiao honestly didn’t think much of it since centuries pass by with his day of birth passing each time, he never really thought much of it. Never bothered celebrating it.
But when he found out (from Verr or Rex Lapis/Zhongli) that the mortals celebrate their birthdays, he honestly doesn’t have a clue on how to celebrate it. So he might seek the help of Verr or the Traveller.
He does his best. Please give him credit for trying- ;;w;; He’ll try his best to make something for you. It won’t be anything grand. A simple picnic near Wangshu Inn with some Almond Tofu and other food-
So when the day of your birthday came, Xiao is nervous. He doesn’t know if you’ll like the surprise or not. But when he started to look for you, he was confused when he couldn’t find you before growing worried.
Unlike the other bois, he would immediately check your room before tearing the place down- when he finds you there, he’s honestly confused again- (poor bby, always getting confused- ;;w;;). When you explain to him that you just don’t feel special during your birthday, Xiao would get worried and upset-
The first thing he does is hug you. Like this is the only thing he knows about comforting someone- its not like he encountered humans that needs comforting- ;w;
“I.. don’t really know what it feels like to not feel special on your day of birth but.. you’re special to me. Isn’t that enough?”
Like broooo, he looks like a sad puppy- he’s honestly lost on what to do. You might as well need to comfort him too 😅. He would try to shower you with affections before dragging you to the picnic he set up.
He would be so relieved if you like or love the picnic he set up. As much as its embarrassing for him, he would allow you to feed him and, if you let him, feed you in return. He will continue to press some kisses on your face, head and hands. Because, like, u really deserve it- 🥺🥺
He would bring you to the highest mountain just near Wangshu Inn and enjoy the view, and possibly go stargazing with you. I can see him knowing how to make a flower crown for some reason :pp so he’ll make a flower crown out of Qingxin flowers and place it on your head-
“Happy day of birth, my love. Even as more days of birth come, I promise to make you special. Even though it’s not the grandest, I hope that my efforts and love will be enough.”

ೃ if you want to be a part of my taglist, answer this form! ♡
Tumblr media
ZHONGLI:
Tumblr media
– Zhongli would be a very chill study partner. He will always keep his cool and focus, never letting his attention stray away from less trivial things. If he can focus, he’ll focus. There’s always this sense of comfort surrounding him that brightens up your mood and productivity. The both of you are sat in this long table, papers, books, and cute matching pencils are sprawled about. You lean your head on his shoulder, as he serenades you with his deep and butter voice, explaining all the formulas to you. Being able to study in peace and quiet with him is always a blissful experience. He never fails to brew you green tea (as it helps the brain function) even if that meant going down to the kitchen at 2 in the morning. He always brings a small humidifier and some essential oils with him that can help brighten up the study mood and that emits a wafting vanilla pinecone scent to keep you happy. (He’s just fancy like that.) When he doesn’t understand the concepts right away, he’d turn to you, his sharp amber eyes gazing at yours with nothing but innocent and love, and asks: “(Y/N)... what reference is this supposed to be? pepe the frog? kermit the frog? here come dat boi? aren’t they all just amphibians? what are the differences between them? I am very intrigued.”
Tumblr media
CHILDE:
Tumblr media
  – Childe loves a challenge. An academic challenge. He loves the thrill of finishing school works the night before the deadline, he loves studying for a pop quiz twenty minutes before the bell rings, and most importantly, he loves to pretend he doesn’t know how to solve point a to point b if that means getting to spend time with you as you tutor him on how to do so. He’s at the top of the class, He’s popular and friendly, He’s the captain of the Archery Team, and one of the vice council members of the Fatui Club. But, no other title will ever come close to being your study buddy. You and Childe always chill on the bed whenever you study. Especially when the both of you have the sudden urge to just laze around. Well, it is the wee hours of the night, so just lounging around and trying to resist the urge of sleep is pretty understandable. Sometimes, the two of you would take power naps in between study sessions. This meant cuddle times! Childe will always cuddle with you, (he’s the big spoon and you are the smol spoon) and often times you would be immersed into your textbook while he’s scrolling through his phone and looking for some of the current and popular memes. He’d poke you on the cheek and show you what he’s found. It was quite annoying sometimes and you would reprimand him for it, but it never fails to make you laugh. You jokingly suggested one time that the two of you sneak in the library after closing hours, and your chaotic boyfriend turns to you with the biggest smirk plastered on his face. “Let’s do it baby. I know the law.”
Tumblr media
DILUC:
Tumblr media
–You and Diluc are the cutest pair of night owls. So, studying late at night is never a problem with him because with the help of each other, the both of you are unstoppable. An actual power couple. Batman and his love interest who? I only know (Y/N) and Diluc. Mondstadt University should be giving you the title of #NoSleepGang for the “Campus Cuties” awards because the two of you are able to ace every test still despite lack of sleep.  You and Diluc are very very organized. The both of you own matching couple planners (that the both of you had gifted to each for Christmas) and have your entire study schedule planned out already. Since the two of you prefer to study at night, your dates are usually done during the day. Which meant never having to worry about the upcoming finals whilst you’re at a cute little café with him. The both of you have respective desks whenever you study together, but you never fail to gaze at your crimson-haired boyfriend with the cutest pout and biggest puppy eyes. He always gives in and next thing you know, your swivel chairs are practically glued next to each other and the both of you are cuddling in your seats. One thing that Diluc never fails to do is pamper you with comfort food or little gifts that you love after a long and tiring week of hell (aka exams) It’s such a sweet gesture and the blissful relationship that you have can’t get any better than this.
“I got you some boba and that necklace from Pandora that you’ve always wanted. I-I’m so proud of you (Y/N). You did great, my love.”
Tumblr media
KAEYA:
Tumblr media
- You are the Lawful Good to Kaeya’s Chaotic Evil. Kaeya is always tempted to ask for answers from your professors. He’s quite the teacher’s pet, but with good intentions. That’s just how he rolls. Every time he jokes about going to the faculty to help out and the answer sheets are just out in the open, waiting to be snatched, you always glare at at him and punch him softly on the arm, every time he tries to bring up the idea. To which he would always reply with, “I’m kidding. Just kidding my love.” You and Kaeya have amazing study hacks. He is always able to find a movie that is somewhat related to the topics that the both of you are currently studying about. For example, when the topic was an introduction to different branches of science, Kaeya chose Big Hero 6  as the “Educational Movie Of the Day.” He is always able to find something fun and informative for the both of you to watch. Well, Kaeya does find fun and interest in everything. Another effective strategy that both of you do is every time you or him get an answer right, you reward each other with either a kiss on the cheek or a bear hug. Both of these affectionate gestures give you butterflies in your stomach anyway, so it doesn’t matter which is which. With the ideas that Kaeya constantly makes up every single day of your study sessions, there’s a high chance that you’ll never fluke a test ever again.
“Oh. That’s pretty cool of you (Y/N). You got 30 correct answers! If we count everything, so I basically gave you 15 forehead kisses and 15 bear hugs. Congrats! I know we’re going to ace our finals!”

XIAO:

– Xiao is extremely intelligent and talented in a myriad of things. However, he lacks self-confidence. You’ve sworn to your boyfriend that you’d help him gain confidence in his academic abilities. Which is why you became study buddies in the first place. It served as dates with him too! Although he stubbornly refused at first, his reasons being that he can do things by himself and he doesn’t need any help. You continued to encourage him that this was going to help the both of you and it was a way for the two of you to bond, and Xiao hesistantly agreed right after. As the captain of the soccer team, “The Liyue Adepti”, The only free time that Xiao has was during the evening which is the reason for your scheduled late night studies with him. This brought so much more intimate and sweet moments with him though! It meant sleepovers with him, midnight snack runs, and casual early morning strolls in the park. It became sort of a routine. Your hand interlaced with his, the crisp morning air, the little chirpings birds, and the tranquil swaying of the trees brought so much comfort to the both of you. Xiao would be the type of student to not speak up unless he’s called. Even if he knows the answer. The both of you sit on some floor pillows whenever you would study. So, whilst you read aloud, Xiao always hugs you from behind, resting his head on your shoulder.
“I don’t deserve the patience and love you give me, (Y/N). I am eternally grateful for everything you’ve done for me. I hope you know, that I’ll always be here for you.”

ALBEDO:

- Being the university’s library assistant has it’s perks. Access to infinite knowledge, quiet solitude within the library walls, and being able to hang out with your boyfriend. It was truly a perfect deal. After classes, Albedo would be heading straight over to the library to do his work. You’d meet him there and wait until he gets his work done, and then the two of you head home together or have dinner. Albedo likes to plan things in advance. He’s quite busy, being a part of university’s alchemist group and as a library assistant, but, he will always study with you. He even brings Klee with him at times too! She’s always an energetic and cute addition, + she tattles on and on about how in love Albedo is with you and how he would never shut up about you at home. Albedo puts a lot of effort into creating review materials for the both of you. He makes very intricate drawings of modules, dioramas of certain science models, and has all the formulas memorized for him to list down. He’s a genius after all, and although you’ve constantly told him time and time again that he doesn’t have to make a review paper specifically catered to you, he still insists. He always gifts you one whenever it’s exam week (he adds extra detail to them during your finals) The cutest thing about these papers are scribbled about in all of the pages. The cutest doodles of the two of you with hearts and flowers drawn all over. Albedo + (Y/N) is even written in the last page, along with a heartfelt message:
“I put all my faith and belief in you, (Y/N). I know you can do this. I’m proud of everything you’ve reached so far, my beloved. and I know you’ll reach greater heights. Let’s continue to excel and thrive together. I can’t wait to spend the rest of this journey with you.”

Kaeya
Distantly, he remembers an old saying from Crepus, in response to his question-- "Why do people drink so much?"
"Well... Alcohol doesn't solve anything, but it can make you forget questions you'd rather not think about."
He understood that as he got older. Why stress, and think about things he could not control? ... Well, maybe he should deal with them, but that's easier said than done when his entire life was on the line. Every night, in the tavern, he drank to forget. Not that he'd admit that to anyone.
And, somehow, he had forgotten more than he'd like to admit. On his lap, a beautiful woman, and he was tugged to a back closet of the Angel's Share. She tasted sweet, like wine and sugar. If it wasn't for an intruder, ( despite the fact that he was the one intruding into staff-only area ) he likely would have had a far better time, to completely lose himself in his inebriation.
"K-Kaeya!" Uh oh, as his vision focused, he could see Diluc's unmistakable silhouette, with that fluffy red hair and broad shoulders. "You," he pointed to the woman, "Out." The woman, not wanting to envoke the wrath of Sir Ragnvindr, running out immediately. But, Diluc didn't let Kaeya out, not that he was fighting to get out. Instead, he walked closer.
"What have you done?" he asked, voice low and full of rage. However, Kaeya could only smile,
"What do you mean, Master Ragnvindr?" He asked, all sly.
"You cheater," he snapped, "You do know that wasn't your partner? The one you swore yourself to? They were just looking for you, you know." He was nearly yelling, forcing his voice low...
And that, that idea, the realization of everything hit him harder than even the biggest bomb's that Klee had ever made. He... did.
"Look," The world was no longer warm an fuzzy, just a little shift away from his normal reality, everything crashing down. The thoughts that haunted him when you slept so peacefully in his arms, when he would see the knights laughing and smiling together, the ever-haunting knowledge that he was alone amongst them...
The way only you did not have that odd look in your eye, of wonder upon seeing something unique, or of something alien that terrified... You only looked at him as what he wished to be seen-a person.
And here he went, fucking it all up.
"Look," he said again, tears in his eye, "You, you can't tell anyone," He all but snapped at Diluc, who's eyes widened in shock, "I-I wouldn't tell if you did it, you have to do the same for me," he promised, desperately trying to think of what to do...
"Kaeya, this isn't about me, this is about you and-and them," Diluc didn't even need to say the name, "You're better than this, I won't tell, but only if you do."
Kaeya's brows furrowed, he wasn't used to feeling so... betrayed. Normally, it was expected, but this... but this was different! Wasn't it...?
"It has nothing to do with you, I... I can deal with it on my own, 'Luc." He insisted, straightening out his back. He was only a tiny bit taller than Diluc, but he wanted to hold it over him, to prove he wasn't going to let him use him over his... his mistake.
"Kaeya," his voice was... softer. Kaeya didn't want to hear this voice, this consoling voice. Not after everything, not... not like this!
"Fuck off, Diluc," he snapped, pushing him to the wall as he stormed out, "You made it clear you want nothing to do with me, don't try now. Not like this," he demanded, seeing Diluc look at him, eyes wide... shocked.
"Fine. Get out and don't come back." Diluc hissed, voice much lower, his eyes glazed over. Kaeya almost wanted to yell at him, to keep fighting... But, no, no, he didn't. He couldn't do that here, not when he was too desperate to figure out what to do, leaving through the front of Angel's Share, slamming the door behind him.
And he ran. He didn't know why, he wasn't headed home, but he just... he felt like he was running from his mistakes, the wind biting at his face, until he finally skidded into an alleyway, his back against the wall, his hand put up to his mouth, biting at the base of his thumb to stifle the sobs that wanted to burst from his chest. It hurt, oh, it hurt, but it felt... right, it felt like he should hurt, his teeth clasping harder onto his hand, tears rolling from his eye as he roughly breathed through his nostrils, his brain desperately trying to figure out what to do, what to say, what to think... But it all only ended up in a jumbled mess, of black and red and tears and crying.
He didn't know how long he sat there, but by the time he stopped biting his hand, it felt... hot, for some reason, and as he looked at his hand...
Red. Bite marks. His teeth had sunk in so deep, his skin was broken and reddened and bloody. He couldn't even feel the pain, like when the burning fire had turned to grey, dead embers... he felt nothing, his own bodily sensations distant in an odd way.
He doesn't even know why, but upon seeing his blood ooze from his flesh, he swing his fist towards the brick, hearing it clatter against it. He stared at his hand, pulling off his glove to stare, dazed, at his busted knuckles.
Holding his fist close to his chest, he finally walked home.
If I don't tell them, he thought, I can live with it. I've lived with worse. I live with worse.
He didn't want to.
But he did that-he cheated. He cheated on the one person that could make everything feel okay, like he never hurt anyone, like he wasn't from a distant corrupt land, like he wasn't the monster he was told to be.
Should he say it? Tell directly?
...
It wouldn't matter if he told immediately or in a week. He-he trusted you'd understand, he could... He could figure it out. He just, his brain was both sinking and floating, drunk yet sober, he wasn't in his own body right about now. He was somewhere gone, and he couldn't be making any decisions.
Shambling his way home, he opened the front door... And hesitated, listening. Looking. You weren't in eyeshot or earshot, so... He could wrap up his hand before he gave everything away, or at least, his temper tantrum of sorts. He rummaged around before finding that small first aide kit, cleaning the wounds of his own cause, and bandaged up his hand... for a second, he tensed, hearing your footsteps, but he opted to finish wrapping it before you could see.
"Kaeyaaa..." You whined, "You didn't come to bed..." You walked over, hugging him from the side, resting your head on him. How sweet you were, how cuddly... As though nothing happened.
"I'll come to bed in a minute," he said, "I just need to finish this real quick."
You peeked over to look at whatever he was messing with, and woke up in an instant, reaching over to his hand as he was tucking the end of the bandage away, so it wouldn't unravel so easily. "What happened?" You asked, tenderly holding his injured hand with both of yours.
"Nothing to be worried about," he reassured, trying to hide how his voice shook, "Just wanted to patch it up."
With one hand, you gently stroked his, and then lifted it to your mouth to give a loving kiss atop it. "Are you okay to come to bed?" You asked, still tired from the late hour.
"Of course," he wanted to kiss you, badly, but he refrained. You shouldn't, Kaeya, your mouth is dirty.
The two of you walked to bed, he undressing just enough to comfortably lie down...
Feeling how you snuggled up to him, sighing in such comfort now that he was home, and how you soon became a weight upon him as you sunk back into sleep...
However, he did not sleep that night. Or the next, or the next... Or the next.
Days, truly, passed. He did not sleep, he was not sleeping, Jean even scolded him for blacking out more than once, stunned when one second he was standing, and the next he was on the ground, no memory of having fallen, with the knights consoling him.
He started staying later, he had not gone back to the Angel's Share. Many mornings, he was not there when you woke. You knew he was busy, but... this was horrific.
Eventually, two weeks have passed. He steeled his nerves, and he was going to talk to you about it. He didn't want to live like this, with this guilt and agony upon the things he could not fix--but he could fix this. He could-he could make this better.
But, as he walked into your shared home... an eerie silence. As he looked around, it felt like... a lot was missing.
Everything that was missing, from simple objects placed about to pictures on the walls, were all yours. Of you.
Save for a single picture frame, with shattered glass, and a picture of him and you, smiling. It was one of the more coherent pictures the two of you had made.
Beside it, a note.
Dear Kaeya,
A woman came to me recently, telling me of you. Of how you kissed her, and nearly slept with her at the Angel's Share. She was unaware of the fact that you had a partner, and had finally found and confided in me about this.
I don't know what made you cheat on me like this, but worse still you've been avoiding me, and you wouldn't even tell me. If I knew... then we could have talked about it, we could have gotten counseling. We could have fixed this--fixed us. But you were gone.
I don't want to hear you say it, say that you don't love me or you don't want to be with me, so I left. I'm not in Mondstadt, I've gone to live with someone I can actually trust. Please don't look for me, I need time. Your lack of communication was enough to tell me you don't care enough to fix this.
Sincerely, Your former beloved.
Tears truckled down onto the paper, and he nearly crushed it in a single fist... But, no, he couldn't, he couldn't destroy the last connection he had to you, no matter how badly he wanted to rip out his eye, so he never had to look at it ever again. He collapsed the floor, the letter, and the framed picture falling to the ground, a broken, loud laughter rung through the house as tears fells down his face, maniacal in nature...
He wanted to be alone, and gone, for a long... long time.
Childe
Childe didn't understand the meaning of 'exclusive' as well. He loved you, dearly, but to him, love was a thing to be given more freely. Maybe it was just a lack of communication, or maybe he completely misunderstood your words, but with an old friend he slept with time and time again...
When Scaramouche saw him sending off his friend with a goodbye kiss, it being a casual commoditiy in his mind, only then did he get utterly chewed out for this.
"Are you a fucking idiot?" Scaramouche snarled at him, "You're not even shameful about this, you cheater." He snapped, as though he was truly angry for you, instead of just a generally very angry person. Childe shrugged.
"I wouldn't mind if they slept with someone else," he said casually, "Doesn't mean they love me any less, you know?"
Scaramouche tried to response, but he was simply flabberghasted. "Most people don't think that way, you airheaded moron."
Childe just laughed, brushing off the shorter harbinger, before walking off without a care.
But... in the end, the words got to him.
Maybe you didn't think that way? You two had spoken of marriage, a very possible reality that he was looking forward to... But, maybe there was a... culture clash, maybe? A clash of upbringings?
He found himself wondering these things at night, when you were snuggled up to him, unaware of the whirlwind of fear in his mind.
Silently, he resolved to simply stop--It would keep you happy, a little secret he didn't mind keeping. Maybe in many, many years, he'd mention it, but... he thought that was okay. That could be the last time he'd ever do something like that...
But, as he came home... You were sitting, waiting for him.
"Please, come sit down, Ajax," that morose tone, it made his heart ache... so he obeyed without question. You looked at him, face puffy and eyes red... "Tell me the truth," you asked, his heart sinking, "Did you cheat on me?"
He froze, but... "Y-yes, but-"
"I don't need an explanation," you admitted, a small, broken smile on your face, "I knew I wasn't loveable enough."
"Wait, no, no, that's not it at all-"
"No," you interrupted, "I don't need an explanation. I'll be out by tonight," you looked down at your lap, his heart shattering into even smaller pieces,
"Babe... please, please, let me explain, I'll never do it again-"
You stood,
"If you'd do it once, you'd do it again. Don't talk to me," you hesitated, "If you want me to be happy, don't look for me ever again."
He was trying to reach for you... but, he couldn't make himself grab you, not when you so delicately shied away...
Eventually, he gave up. No amount of fighting would stop you, and... and he... he couldn't keep seeing your pain as you cried for him to just leave you alone.
Was this love? The pain of another, the terror not of considering spending the rest of your life with them, but the terror of not spending the rest of your life with them?
Before he knew it, he was staring at a mirror, shards of glass in his fist, more than a few holes in the wall and a broken door, the shattered mirror distorting his expression...
Upon walking through the house, he saw that there was... it felt so empty, without your delicate touch and presence making it a place he lovingly called home.
"No," he whispered, hoping... were you here? Did you see... whatever he blacked out and did, the tantrum he did not remember? Did he, oh gods above, oh gods, he didn't hurt you, did he?
...
But he never got an opportunity to find out.
By the time he had sobered up from his tantrum... you were gone. Only a note, left behind, Don't look for me.
Because, you both knew, if he really wanted to find you, he could. He could capture you, trap you... hurt you.
But he didn't want any of that, as much as it hurt to have you away... to make you hate him anymore than you already did was enough to drive a man to near insanity.
Even after you had been gone, he would sit, whenever he was not forced to work, to fulfil his duties to the Tsaritsa... he would wait. He would cook your favourite dishes, read the books you liked, go to the places you enjoyed...
Only after weeks of this, did it hit him that you truly were never coming home. He knew that, but... but, somehow, his heart, his emotions hadn't caught up.
For a second time, he had destroyed your shared, no... his home.
It just wasn't home without you.
Unable to endure the idea of still being here, of a place where he had held you so many times, kissed you, loved you, and suddenly you were all but gone... He tried to do anything to avoid it, to avoid that demon that desperately tried to crawl out of him, threatening to burst from his chest.
Even the other Harbingers had noticed this, how... awful he had been, how he had lost himself. Even Scaramouche, the one most openly said to be the easiest to hate amongst them all, with an uncanny talent to bring even the most pacificistic souls to pure rage, had done well to stay his tongue, never kind, never sweet, but he would give him the isolation he craved, only speaking as much was necessary.
He didn't know what to do with himself, but whenever that happened... he'd just throw himself to the maws of death and, unluckily, crawl his way back out.
Diluc
Everything felt hot and fuzzy and...
Red.
Was red a feeling? His face was red, his body burned, and he could scarcely breathe, he definitely had accidentally drunk some alcohol, but for once, the effects of inebriation hit him. However, while he couldn't understand why people would devote their lives to this sensation, he could appreciate reality being distant, when he knew if he wasn't drunk, he would have spit up the wine and some extra blood, making it an even richer red color.
A warm feeling around his dick, he saw a pretty, if not distorted, face. It didn't take long for him to explode with sensation, his eyes shot wide... and a kiss pressed to his lips.
He almost chased that pretty face, only to see it disappear, he falling to his knees, rasping for air. Moments later, he felt hands on his shoulder's, shaking him. He shot his head up, seeing Kaeya looking at him in fear, and distantly, he heard his name...
"Diluc. Diluc. Diluc! Say something!"
Diluc stared at him, and opened his mouth to speak, but he only ended up jerking his head down, coughing into his elbow, seeing blood on his black coat... Kaeya noticed, too, frozen in shock.
"What happened?" he asked, his eye wide in shock.
"I..." Diluc rasped out, and his eyes widened in shock.
He realized what he had done.
He. He slept with someone who was most definitely not the one he had sworn himself to. Some-some random woman who was likely enchanted by the prospect of a rich man.
"Diluc!" Kaeya shouted, afraid, "What happened?"
Diluc shoved himself up, his hand on Kaeya's shoulder, already rushing to run out and all the way back to the Winery-but not before Kaeya grabbed him, stopping him, strength near equally matched.
"'Luc, I'm not letting you go anywhere until you-"
"I did," Diluc was still gasping for air, "I did something terrible." He admitted, with no small amount of pain.
"What did you do?" Kaeya asked, "Don't run, don't run, you're going to choke on your own blood-"
"No!" Diluc shouted, throwing Kaeya off his arm, running on pure adrenaline, even as his face was beet red, and his vision blurred.
But he needed to confess his sins, immediately, he needed to... now, now, now!
He heard Kaeya shout, but in the end, as he had to stop just to rasp for air again, the burn of alcohol still in his throat, he heard no shouting, nothing but the sound of his thundering heartbeats in his own ears.
Finally, he got to the Winery. You saw him, shocked, seeing his red face and how distressed he was, his hair nothing short of a fluffy mess.
"Diluc," you run over, he leaning on you, just to not collapse from the lack of air, "Diluc, what's wrong?"
"I-I..." He shuttered out, sucking in a breath, "I cheated on you."
You were reeling, "You-What?"
"I-I accidentally drank wine. I was drunk, I can't..." He was still heaving, "I can't breathe... I don't... I don't know what happened, but... She... a woman, she..."
He couldn't finish, but he didn't need to.
"You cheated on me and the first thing you did was come home and brag about it?" You asked, equal parts anguish and anger,
"No," he rasped, his knees buckling as the world tried to disappear on him, "I can't..." his hand went to his throat, "Wait..."
He didn't know what happened, but he only saw flashes after that--Your tears, his bloodied hands, you leaving.
And he was alone, on the ground, barely able to breathe, to think... to do anything.
You left him.
You were gone.
And, somehow, he wasn't mad at all. Having breathed long enough to move again, he stood... and he found the half-empty bottle of wine left on the table, the wine you adored so.
He grabbed the bottle and drank straight from it, feeling his throat and tongue swell, it crashing to the ground as he fell, unable to rasp even the slightest breaths,
I deserve this, he thought, I deserve this. This is all I deserve.
...
...?
For some reason, despite his better wishes, he woke up. He lay in bed, a cool, wet cloth over his forehead... his flesh burned, and his tongue was still swollen, he unable to wiggle it in his mouth. His breathing, still, was labored, but it seemed that he was still breathing, despite everything.
He watched as Adelinde cautiously walked over, looking down at his face, "... Master Diluc, are you alright?"
No, he wasn't, but he could not even sob and cry, for he could not breathe enough to do so.
A cruel twist of fate, but he was not deserving to cry, he was the one who hurt you. You did nothing but love him.
He didn't deserve anything right now.

Chapter 3 – Darknight
“Ad Astra Abyssosque. Hello, again (y/n). Did you manage to get the signature from Cyrus?” Katheryne greets you for the second time today.
“Sure did.” You hand her a form.
She quickly scans it and nods. “Everything is in order. You can look at the board there for commissions. When you find one that interests you, let me know.”
You walk towards the board to look at the different commissions. In the morning, you had come to the city to inform the adventurer’s guild that you’d be staying in Mondstadt for a while. You collected the form from Katheryne and visited your mother. After spending some time with her, you went to the headquarters of the guild to get a signature from Cyrus. He was more than happy to sign the form for you as he needed stronger members for bigger commissions.
Your eyes hover over the different commissions posted by various patrons. Clearing hilichurl camps, escorting transport fleets, delivering commodities, all the standard commissions were present. These didn’t interest you. As you almost decide to settle for clearing out a large hilichurl camp, a small notice catches your attention.
‘Identity of Mondstadt’s Darknight – 500,000 Mora.’
You pull the notice from the board and go back to Katheryne. “Hey, Katheryne. Can you tell me more about this commission?” You place the note on her table.
“Oh. This one. Many adventurers have tried but have failed to identify this individual.” She explains. “This commission has been here for almost 8 months now.”
“Who is this Darknight? Is he a criminal? Why do people want to know about him?” You ask.
“Oh no. He is not a criminal. Far from it. The locals regard him as a hero who appears in the middle of the night to fight evil and uphold justice. Even the Knights of Favonius have failed to identify him. They even enlisted the help of the honorary knight but even then they could not figure out this hero’s identity.” Katheryne shakes her head.
“So who posted this commission?” You raise your eyebrow.
“Someone from the Lawrence clan. They believe Mondstadt should not rely on vigilantes like the Darknight for its safety and therefore believe uncovering his identity would put an end to this.” She answers.
“Hmm… I would like to take this commission along with the commission of clearing out the hilichurl camp near Windrise.” You inform her.
“Sure. In case you decide to give up on the Darknight commission, please do let me know. I’ll put it back on the board.”
“Will do. See you soon.” You smile at her and head towards the alchemy table to craft a few potions for yourself.
As you craft your potions, you hear a loud explosion from Good Hunter. You quickly rush to the site to see if anyone needs assistance.
“KLEE! Now you’ve done it!!” You see Kaeya bury his face in his hands.
You see a tiny child in a red frock. Her face was covered in soot.
“Kaeya… I am sorry.” She lowers her head.
“Is everything alright?” You approach them.
“Yeah, no one was hurt.” Kaeya brushes the dust off him. “Klee here was supposed to make a meal for us here and somehow ended in blowing up the stove here.” He shakes his head.
“Oh no. It was not supposed to happen like that.” Klee sounded remorseful.
You bend down and wipe the soot off of her face. “Are you okay?”
“I am. But who are you? I have never seen you before.” She looks at you with curiosity.
“This is (y/n). She’s my friend and she’s an adventurer.” Kaeya introduces you.
“Hello. I am Klee. I am a Knight of Favonius. I am soon going to be going on a mission to Liyue to blow up a lot of rocks.” She jumps in excitement. “Have you been to Liyue?”
“Yes, I have.” You can’t help but giggle at her excitement.
“Klee, Kaeya… Master Jean has summoned the two of you to the headquarters.” A knight approaches all of you.
“Oh no. Kaeya, is Jean going to punish us? Can you help hide Klee’s bombs?” Klee holds Kaeya’s hand.
“Most likely. But don’t worry, I’ll be right there with you.” Kaeya waves at you as he heads to the headquarters with the little girl.
“What a chaotic child…” You shake your head and decide to head to Windrise to clear out the hilichurl camp.
------------------
Fighting the hilichurls and clearing the camp was not a challenge. It was quite easy for you. You were back in the city by sunset. You report to Katheryne about the completion of your commission and she gives you your compensation - 10,000 Mora. You decide to stay in the city in hopes of catching this Darknight hero in action. You had no intention of facing him heads on but instead wanted to follow him to discover his identity.
You buy a black hood and a black scarf for your disguise. You pack them in your bag and head to angel’s share. A tavern is the easiest place to gather information with drunk people being loose-lipped. You see a different man behind the table serving drinks instead of Diluc.
You walk to the table and order a beer. The man behind the table serves you a drink.
“New in town?” He asks.
“Oh no. I grew up in Mondstadt, and haven’t been here in a long time. I am (y/n).” You smile at him.
“I am Charles.” He smiles back. “So… has Mondstadt changed ever since you were last here?”
“In some ways, yes, but mostly it has been the same.” You take a sip from your glass.
“I bet. So what brings you back?” He cocked his head.
“I am an adventurer. I go where the road takes me.” You smirk.
“Adventurer huh? Must be nice.” Another patron orders a drink. “Let me know if you need anything.” Charles winks at you and goes to tend to the patron.
You turn around on your seat and scan the crowd. Everyone was indulging in their drinks and company. You make your way around the Tavern, asking a few of the customers' questions about the mysterious hero. After your rounds, you find out that the hero always is in a dark attire that blends with the night and is a skilled fighter.
As the crowd wanes, you leave the tavern and walk to a deserted alley. You use the scarf to cover your mouth. You tie your hair into a ponytail and wear the jacket with the hood. You pull the hood to cover your head. You were ready. You quickly scale up the walls of the building beside you and hoist yourself up the roof. You parkour from roof to roof to gain a vantage point for scouting. The city was slowly shutting down, welcoming the night. People were slowly retreating to their homes and the city lights were dimmed down. You waited the whole night and nothing eventful happened. As the sun began to rise on the horizon, you retreated back to your dwelling.
For three nights, you followed your routine. During the noon, you would take easy commissions to make some quick money and to keep you occupied and during the night you would patiently wait for the Darknight to make an appearance. You’d go back home early in the morning and sleep for about 4-5 hours every day. To say that you were exhausted would have been an understatement. Without a horse, you’d walk from Dawn Winery to Mondstadt and back every day.
You yawned as your mother was saying something to you.
“(Y/n)…? Did you hear me?” Your mother shook you.
“Huh? What?” You rubbed your eyes.
“Do you have someone in your life that you see yourself marrying?” She asked.
“What? No. Really Maa? That was your question?” You roll your eyes.
“Of course, a mother worries about such things. At your age, I found your father. I just don’t want you to spend the rest of your life all by yourself.” She caresses your face.
You had several flings during your travels but your mother didn’t have to know that.
“I am still young, Maa. There’s time for all of that.” You sigh.
Sister Grace enters the infirmary and approaches your mother. “Master Diluc is here to visit you.”
“Oh! Please send him in.” Your mother smiles.
The sister leaves the infirmary and you get up.
“Where are you going?” Your mother frowns.
“Um… I thought I’d give you two some space.” You shuffle awkwardly.
“Nonsense. Sit down.” Your mother uses a tone that you were all too familiar with. You sit down.
You see him enter and adjust his glove. He looks at both of you and nods. Your mother’s face brightens upon seeing him. You scoff internally.
“Good afternoon, Mrs. (l/n). How are you feeling today?” He smiles at her. “Oh and hello, (y/n).”
“Hello.” You mumble.
“Master Diluc! Punctual as always. I am doing okay.” Your mother smiles at him. “You look absolutely handsome today. Doesn’t he, (y/n)?” Your mother nudges you.
“Huh? I guess.” You look at Diluc. He was well dressed as usual. His hair was tied into a ponytail.
“You flatter me, Mrs. (l/n). You’re far too kind.” He scratches his eyebrow.
“Please, Master Diluc. I am telling the truth. It’s a surprise that a young, handsome lad like you doe not have a beautiful lady in his arms. Oh, the winery could use a lady, Master Diluc.” She goes on.
“Maa. Let him be.” You shake your head.
“Haha, Mrs. (l/n). I do not have the time for wooing women. The business and the tavern take most of my time.” You see a faint blush on his cheek.
“Ugh. Young people these days. I was just telling (y/n) as well about this. You think you can handle everything that life throws at you by yourself but you don’t realize how much easier it becomes with some support that you can always rely on. I worry for both of you. Always by yourself and busy with your work.” She sighs.
“Hey. My work is actually fun!” You defend yourself.
“Sure. Look at you, you look like you need a vacation and your job is to travel around. Always so tired. Ironic isn’t it?” Your mother narrows her eyes at you.
“I am okay.” You mutter.
“And you Master Diluc. Who is going to carry the Ragvindr legacy after you, huh? What happens to this business that you are striving so hard for when you get old?”
“Uh…” Diluc looked at you for help. You shrugged as you were helpless yourself.
“Hmph. Thought so.” Your mother crosses her arms. You yawn again.
“Go get some rest, (y/n).” Your mother looked at you with concern.
“I am okay.” You insist.
“I’ll take her home.” Diluc places a hand on your mother’s shoulder and squeezes it gently. “You take care of yourself Mrs. (l/n).”
The two of you exit the cathedral.
“I am not going home now. I have commissions to complete.” You walk ahead of Diluc.
“The sun is almost setting. You can do them tomorrow.” He catches up with you.
“No, this has to be done at the night.” You argue.
“Oh? And what commission is this?” He raises an eyebrow.
“Yeah… Not gonna tell you.” You brush him off.
“Fine. Suit yourself.” He sighs and walks down the stairs with you. The two of you walk in silence for a while.
“You really shouldn’t be pushing yourself this hard.” He speaks softly.
“It’s only temporary, Diluc. Once I get a horse, I’ll be fine.” You explain.
“Hmm.” He seems lost in thought. “This is where we part ways. I have to go to the Tavern.”
“See you around.” You wave at him as he walks the opposite way. Despite not being active in combat as a knight, he still seemed fit and quick on his feet. You figured he still trained during his free time.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Mondstadt was covered in a canopy of twinkling stars. The moon was absent from the sky, making the streets darker than usual. The occasional barking of faraway dogs broke the silence of the night. You are seated on the ledge of the windmill, facing the city.
You see a disturbance near the west wall of the city. You focus your eyes on the area to see a couple of thugs mugging a bard. You use your glider to fly from the windmill to the roof of a house near the scene. The bard was putting up a lot of resistance against his assailants. One of them drew a knife.
You unsheathe your sword and lunge from the roof.
“What the heck?” One of them exclaims.
You place yourself in between the assailants and the bard.
“Back off.” You glare at them with your sword pointed at them.
“Hehe. Get a load of this. There’s 7 of us and only 1 of you.” The men laugh at you. One of them lunges at you. You quickly dodge him and kick him in the stomach. He keels over, groaning in pain.
“You’re quick on your feet. Let’s see if you can take all of us.” The man who spoke before grins menacingly. You assumed he was the leader. You brace yourself for the onslaught of their attacks.
A dark figure lunges at them before they could make their move. Before they could react, you attack the group of thugs. You had learned different forms of fighting arts from different masters through the course of your journeys. You and the figure swiftly knock all the thugs out could. Due to being caught up in the middle of the fight, you hadn’t seen his face. But now that it was over, you turn around to see the person who helped you. Your eyes widen as you recognize the individual in front of you.
You turn around to see that the bard had already run away.
“Who are you?” Glowing red eyes narrow at you. “What is your business here in Mondstadt?”
You had forgotten that you had covered your face with a hood and your mouth was covered by a scarf. You pull your hood and scarf down.
“(Y/N)!!!!??” Diluc was shocked.
“So you’re the Darknight.” You laugh sarcastically. “Of course, you are.”
“What are you doing? And why are you dressed like an assassin?” He takes a step towards you.
“Trying to find out who the Darknight was… Guess I found him.” You sigh.
“So that was your commission?” He pauses.
“Yes.” You whisper.
“I’d appreciate it if you kept my identity a secret. Whatever they’re paying, I’ll pay more.” He sighs.
Money? Did he really go there? Sure, you had taken this commission as it seemed lucrative. But did he really think that you would betray him for money? Sure, things had changed but for him to go there was too much. It made you mad.
“I am not going to rat you out, Diluc. You can keep the money.” You shake your head. “To think that you thought so low of me.” You walk away from him. “Oh and also I didn’t need your help. I had it handled.” You storm off.
“Wait, (y/n). I didn’t mean it like that.” Diluc runs after you.
You turn around to face him. “Then what did you mean it like, Diluc?”
He stops, seeming lost for words. “I am sorry…”
“Sorry. That’s all you seem to have to say these days. Oh, that and flashing your money at me. I get it. You are rich, I have grown up with you. I know that. You don’t have to wave it at my face. I am not someone whose morals are swayed by money!” You look up at the sky as you exhale a shaky breath.
“I know that.” He grits his teeth. “I know that, (y/n)! I should have known better to say that. I blurted it out before I could think.”
“Do better, Diluc.” You shake your head and walk towards the city gates.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The rising sun cast a rosy hue across the morning sky. Golden fingers of sunlight lit up your room. You didn’t have to stay awake till dawn as the mystery of the Darknight was uncovered. You slept well and woke up to the sound of chirping birds. As a pot of tea was brewing in your kitchen, you hear a knock on the door.
“Coming.” You yell as you make your way to the door.
You straighten your outfit and open the door. You still hadn’t gotten to changing your clothes and brushing your hair.
“(Y/n), I hope you don’t mind me visiting at this time of the day.” Diluc was well-dressed as usual.
“What do you want, Diluc?” You cross your arms as you stood by the door frame. “If you’re here to apologize then please save it for someone who cares to listen to it.”
“I was here for that and for another reason.” He adjusts the glove on his hands.
“What is it?” You raise your eyebrow.
“Can we talk in private?” He looks around.
“Fine. Come in.” You make way for him and he enters your home.
“This place hasn’t changed much.” He looks around. He looked so out of place in your small home. You were certain that the outfit he had was worth more than anything in this house.
“Take a seat.” You lead him to the sofa in the living room of your home.
“Thank you.” He sits down.
“I am brewing a pot of tea. Would you like some?” You ask. Although you were mad at him, your parents had raised you better. You had to be a good host.
“Yes, I would.” He nods. You head to the kitchen and pour two cups of tea. You place it on a tray and take it to the living room. You hand Diluc his cup. He accepts it.
“So? What are you here for?” You probe.
“I have a proposition…” He blows on his cup of tea. The way he held the cup, the way he blew on the hot tea and sipped on it. Everything was very graceful about him.
“What kind of proposition?” You cross your leg as you sip on your tea.
“I need your… assistance, in keeping Mondstadt safe.” He purses his lip. “There are several external agents trying to break the order and spirit of this region. The Fatui and Abyss have been more active in this region than ever. Dvalin was corrupted by the Abyss, putting everything at risk. Ursa the Drake, was Fatui’s work. Mondstadt is under constant threat from them. The Knights are incompetent and are not who they used to be.”
“And you need my help?” You raise your eyebrow.
“Yes. I would appreciate it if you could partner up with me. You’re a skilled fighter, that much was clear from last night’s events.” He nods.
“I am not sure about this. I am an adventurer, all these political conflicts are something we do not take part in. We are a neutral party.” You bite your lip. Diluc’s idea was tempting. Especially after knowing that the monster that killed your father was a Fatui orchestrated plan.
“It doesn’t have to be as an adventurer, (y/n). You can act as an independent agent. I’ll make sure that you are protected. You don’t have to do what I do. I would have certain missions, that I would need your help with.” He explains.
“Okay. But my commissions with the guild come first.”
“Naturally. I wouldn’t want it to be at the expense of your job. You can also refuse to do something that you would not want to do.” He agrees.
“Alright. Then I accept your proposal.” You smirk.
“I am glad. How would you like to be compensated for this?” He seemed very cautious as he phrased his question.
“Good question. Hmm… I’ll quote you a price based on the difficulty of the tasks that you give me. Is that okay?”
“That seems fair. Oh and (y/n), please do not tell anyone about this, not even Kaeya.”
“Alright. I’ll keep it a secret. Cross my heart and hope to die.” You cross your index and middle finger.
“I hope not.” Diluc shakes his head as he stands up. “Alright, I shall take my leave then. I will contact you via my people or directly. You will also need a horse and I will arrange that.”
“Fine.” You stand up as well.
“Thank you.” Diluc turns around to look at you as he crosses the threshold of your house.
“Don’t thank me. You’re my employer and you’re paying me for this.” You wave your hand dismissing him. You close the door as he leaves.
The sky became bright and the clouds fluffed up nicely. You’d finished the chores at home and decided to take a stroll. You decided not to go to the city today but take a break today. You walk a familiar path that led you to the winery. You didn’t mind it though, if Diluc was going to be your employer, then there was no avoiding him.
“Ohoho. We have a rare guest here.” You see a middle-aged man wave at you.
“Connor!! Oh my god, you look so different” You sprint towards him.
“You mean I look old, haha. How have you been, kid?” He ruffles your hair.
“I am no longer a kid, Connor.” You push his hand away as you grin.
“I’ve heard, I’ve heard. But you’ll always be that brat who tried to sneak alcohol out of my brewery with Master Kaeya.” He chuckles.
“Can you blame us? We were curious.” You smile sheepishly.
“I remember how mad your father was.” He shakes his head. “While Master Crepus was amused at the two of you.”
“Father was always trying to discipline me. He always said I was a bad influence on Kaeya and Diluc.” You rub the back of your head.
“Hahaha. That’s Trevor for you. But I would say Master Kaeya and you were mischief-makers while Master Diluc kept the two of you grounded.” He smiled fondly.
“I guess…” You shifted. “How have you been?”
“I’ve been good, but my back isn’t the same as it was before. I guess it comes with age.” He laughs. “That reminds me, could you help me with moving those barrels to the brewery?” He points to a few barrels in the background.
“Yeah, sure.” You pick one of the barrels up and follow him. You place it on the spot he desired and go back to get the rest of the barrels.
“Thank you, (y/n) dear. Here, take this bottle of wine blended with fire-water. It’s a new recipe that I have been working on.” He hands you a big bottle.
“Hmm… Do you think that’s a wise choice to mix the two?” You look at the bottle in your hand skeptically.
“I have reduced the intensity of the two drinks to make it suitable for light drinking.” He explains. ‘Here, try this.” He gives you a small sample.
You take a small swing from the sampling glass. It tasted like red wine but it had a little kick to it. You felt the familiar but mellow burn flow down your throat. “I see what you mean.” You grin at him.
You spend some more time catching up with him and the others at the winery. It felt right to you. You explore the grape fields, help your childhood acquaintances with mushing the grapes, pluck the harvest and have fun. They share their lunch with you and you are seated in a clearing near the fields. You look back at the mansion to find Diluc looking at your direction. He waves at you and then suddenly drops his hand as though he was making a mistake. You wave back at him.
“Nice to see him out at this point.” Connor smiles.
“Hmm?” You were confused.
“The young master is not like how he was before. He’s much more reserved. He doesn’t indulge in small talk and is always straight to the point. We seldom see him smile. Don’t get me wrong, he is still kind-hearted but it feels like he’s always holding himself back from becoming happy.” Connor sighs.
“It’s been a tough couple of years for all of us.” You look down.
“The two of you went on similar paths. Out of Mondstadt to seek your own answers. But it shaped the two of you in different ways. You’ve become more open to experiences and people whereas Master Diluc has shut himself off. But you’re still reluctant to find a home whereas Master Diluc refuses to see anything apart from his homeland.” Connor makes an observation. “It’s like two sides of the same coin.”
Was that really true? You always thought you considered Mondstadt home but Connor was right. Had it not been that letter from your mother, would you have come to Mondstadt anytime soon? If your mother weren’t sick, would you have stayed as long as you have? Sure, you missed all of this but was it enough to make you stay? Diluc had left Mondstadt a month before you, but he was back and he was ready to dedicate his life to protecting the region. You look back at the Mansion to see him staring into a distance. They say he’d changed but his dedication towards the nation and his inclination to help people had not wavered over time. You smiled in his direction, content with the choices you have made so far that led you here.

“to think such an honourable knight such as you, the cavalry captain of mondstat, is now begging to cum. how shameful of you,” you let out a low chuckle as a provocative smile broke out on your lips, “i wonder what citizens would say if they saw their beloved and oh so admirable kaeya in this position?”
as a captain of the ordo favonius, you were a bright figure to the people of mondstat. a person who aided in saving the city from destruction, one of the heroes that defeated storm terror. of course, other knights had nothing but respect for you as your skill and talent was nothing short of impressive. many looked at you with a high regard due to your strength and position, this meant that many were intimidated by your presence and therefore fear approaching you.
however, there was one person who disregarded this and stuck by you anyways, kaeya alberich, the cavalry captain. out of everyone in the knights of favonius, you were the closest with kaeya. you enjoyed his company a lot, he was an interesting person who knew how to keep a conversation going, and while you're with him you could never find yourself feeling bored. he was as charming as he was cunning.
kaeya found himself enjoying your company too. the two of you have done lots of things together. going on missions, getting away with “knighty” duty, babysitting klee, and drinking at angels share. you know, all the fun things in life.
kaeya was a secretive person, and while you were curious about him, you respected his boundaries. perhaps this was the reason why he drew you in, besides his blaringly good looks of course.
there was no doubt that the man was attractive from head to toe. his silky navy blue hair fell down his shoulder with grace, his fringe complemented his smooth, flawless sepia toned face. his periwinkle eye held the sheen of a crystal, glistening as his long eyelashes framed it with poise. the diamond shaped pupils his eyes possessed could leave you in a trance forever. his open white shirt left his cleavage on display, contrasted with the black corset around his slim, slim waist. his slender legs brought him around with confidence and charisma.additionally, the intricate accessories he wore suited his personality well. all in all, kaeya was a pretty little thing.
all of this lead up to you harbouring romantic feelings for the cavalry caption. how could you not feel anything? he was perfect in every way.
the sound of kaeya’s voice snapped you out of your thinking. “y/n, any missions today?”
“nothing for you i don’t think, i gotta help jean with the paperworks though.” you sighed at the thought of a mountain of paperwork.
“great, well i’m off then you have fun doing whatever.” kaeya smirked at you, poking fun at your dread.
he started to turn around and walk off but you had other plans.
“wait. kaeya-” you speak quickly.
“hm?” he hummed out.
“angels share? 9pm?”
a quizzical look washed over his face before he masked it with one of his cunning smiles.
“alright.”
little did kaeya know you had more in mind than just drinking with him tonight. today would be the day when you finally told him about your little crush on him.
night quickly arrived after a day of working with jean. you were pretty exhausted but still excited about what's about to happen later tonight. when you entered the bar, Kaeya was already waiting for you at the counter talking with the bartender, charles.
“ah, i see mr.l/n is here too. Your usual today as well sir?”
“yah that’d be nice, thanks charles.” you said as you took a seat next to kaeya
“you got it.” charles said as he left to go get your drink.
angel's share was the place you and kaeya loved the most. the kind of noisy background with people chatting. cyrus and jack talking about their gains for today, six-fingered jose still playing his lyre, the song was getting a little old but you didn’t mind, in fact if he changed the song you probably wouldn’t be used to it.
“so, what’s the special occasion for today? you usually don’t invite me to drink on weekdays.” kaeya said while swirling his drink and glancing over at you.
kaeya’s eyes always amazed you. you didn’t know the name of the grey-ish color but you could gaze into them forever. his smooth skin glowed under the dim lighting in the bar. you loved everything about the man, his dark blue hair, his perfectly shaped body, and the fact that you could see a little bit of his clothing. what kaeya said on the first day when you guys met was true, you did feel something for him.
“hm? can i not invite fellow knights to share a drink once in while without a special occasion.”
“well, not wrong there but…you seem like you have ulterior motives for tonight from the way you’re dressing.” kaeya said, smirking at you.
it was true, you purposely chose one of your best outfits today for kaeya, you wanted to impress the man not only from your combat skills, but also your looks. there was no secret you could hide from kaeya. he knew you too well and he always looked right through you. it could have just been kaeya’s observant nature but you like to hope it was something more than that.
“you’re right there, you really do know me too well, maybe i need to start hiding things from you a little huh?”
“you can try but i highly doubt it’ll work in your favour, mr.honorary knight.”
both of you looked at each other with a slight smirk as charles arrived with your drink. after drinking for a good while you could tell kaeya was getting a little tipsy. his movements were unstable, he shaked a little while walking and his eyes started to become hazy. what better time than right now to reveal your true plans for tonight, you were gonna fuck the shit out of the beautiful man. you wanted to hear him scream your name in pleasure as you break him, over and over again.
“why don’t we go somewhere else? y’know, somewhere more, quiet” you suggested while scooting closer to kaeya.
“i wouldn’t mind that.”
as soon as you heard those words you immediately got up and left with kaeya. your plan was going perfectly and the best part is about to come soon. kaeya wasn’t stupid, he was an adult afterall and he knew what you were trying to do. dressing up all sexy like that, getting drinks, going somewhere more “private”, what else could it have been.
the two of you arrived in your house and headed straight for your bedroom. kaeya has been to your house many times for many reasons and he knew where everything was so he didn’t trip or fall.
you placed a light kiss on kaeya’s lips while he laid on your bed.
“wait here~ i’ll be right back.”
this was where things would get, interesting
you opened your fridge to grab a small wooden bowl. the content inside was covered by a small white cloth. after grabbing that you went to grab some rope from a drawer you hid them in because you didn’t know what to say if someone saw those items in your house.
after bringing the items back you put them on the side and pushed kaeya down.
“what’re those?” he asked
(its a surprise tool that’ll help us later.)
“don’t worry about it sweetheart, just lay back and let me do the work alright?”
you brought a blush to kaeya’s face with your flirty words as he gave you a small nod, signalling you consent and approval. you kept invading kaeya’s mouth over and over again, you’re tongue so skillful kaeya was sure this definitely wasn’t your first time. the kisses ended after a while leaving both of you panting and a half an erection in your pants. wanting more, you began to take off kaeya’s uniform. his skin is so beautiful, you could also see his well defined body, just the perfect amount, not too buff, not too skinny. you licked your lips a little bit and looked up at kaeya with a smirk. when you put your mouth onto kaeya’s pink nipples, he squealed a little out of surprise but soft moans soon began to escape from his mouth.
“a-ah~ didn’t know you had this in you, honorary knight.”
“oh i know a lot more tricks that can make you feel good~” you teased.
as you continued to suck on kaeya’s smooth skin, you decided to spice things up a little bit. kaeya yelped as he felt a slight pain around his nipples. you remove your mouth to see a bite mark around it.
“to mark you as mine~”
“tch, you cocky little bastard.”
seeing the tent building up in kaeya’s pants, you decided to take them off and grant it some release. after you took off kaeya’s jeans you saw a small stain at the top of his boxers, showing that he felt good earlier.
“alright... this is where the fun part begins.” you said as you grabbed the ropes you initially put on the floor.
“restraining me? go ahead, let’s see if the honorary knight is all talk or he actually has something up his sleeve.” kaeya taunted
not liking his attitude, you forcefully tied kaeya’s hands behind his back and pushed him to the end of the bed facing you with nothing on but his boxers. now, the mighty kaeya alberich, is at your mercy.
“alright, we can do this in two ways. one, you listen to me, second, i don’t think you’ll like what’ll happen,”
kaeya raised his head a little and looked you dead in the eyes.
“i choose the second option”
you knew kaeya was the bratty type and it’ll only add to the fun to tame him. after hearing his choice you pushed kaeya back to where he was before and uncovered the bowl you had prepared earlier on the side. the bow was filled with medium sized ice cubes and it was till now that kaeya finally realized what you were trying to do.
“ice cubes huh? bring it on.”
“you asked for it~”
you grabbed one of the ice cubes and started to rub it on kaeya’s pecs, making circular motions and slowing moving towards the center where his nipples are.
“f-fuck that’s cold.”
you saw kaeya’s cock twitch a little when you first reached his nipples and you knew he was feeling good. moving on with your plan, you rested the ice cube on kaeya’s nipples and lifted his boxers where his cock is still covered but his asshole is exposed to you. right after that, you grabbed the lube that has been sitting in your nightstand and spread them on your fingers. without mercy you put 2 fingers into kaeya, trying to find his pleasure spot. sooner or later when kaeya started to let out tiny moans you knew you hit your target.
“feels good huh baby boy~”
“y-yah, and so what o-oh fuck~”
kaeya was sure feeling it, to a point where he started stuttering.
the constant teasing got kaeya close to his limit. he couldn’t hold it any longer. but you’re not gonna let him cum that easy are you? of course not, he needed to be punished for what he did earlier.
“a-ah y/n i’m gonna cum i’m gonna cum so hard- wait why'd you s-stop?” kaeya asked
“you decided to be a brat earlier didn’t you~? bad boys get punishment.” you said with a smirk on your face.
kaeya stayed silent, not a word coming out of his mouth, head hung low feeling embarrassed.
“maybe~ if you begged a little i might reconsider, don’t you think so, pretty boy?”
kaeya finally lost his composure at this point, all he wanted was to cum from your touch.
“fine... i don’t care anymore.” kaeya growled.
“p-please y/n.” kaeya looked up at you with pleading eyes. “i want to c-cum, i want to cum so bad. i should’ve been a good boy from the beginning… i promise i’ll be obedient from now on, j-just please, let me cum…” kaeya begged
“that’s what i thought.”
satisfied with kaeya’s begging, you decided to grant him his release. you added another ice cube to the other side of kaeya’s chest while stroking his dick through his boxers. of course you didn’t forget to keep teasing kaeya’s prostate while you were at it. all these different stimulations made kaeya lose his mind. the male came through his boxers all over the place. semen spilled on his own stomach and chest followed with moans so loud the entire mondstat could hear him.
after he settled himself down a little, kaeya waited for you to untie him. you exchanged a kiss with him while you were doing so, smiling at each other thinking about what just happened. neither of you cared about the mess that you made because you guys were tired. listening to the birds chirp, you fell asleep with the dark blue haired male on your bed.
the two of you woke up in the afternoon to the noises of mondstat. you woke up a little before kaeya and from your point of view he was literally a sleeping beauty. you stroked his hair a little bit, causing him to wake up.
"y/n…good morning handsome."
"right back at you."
both of you giggled a little while holding hands.
"hey kaeya?"
"yes y/n."
"i've been meaning to get this off my chest and i don't think there will be a better time to say it than now."
"well go ahead, i'm all ears."
"you were the only one that ever stuck with me in the knights, everyone was afraid of me due to my strength except for you. you listened to me, you talked to me, and if it weren't for you i probably would've quit the job at the knights already." you took a deep breath and let out the words kaeya were waiting for.
"kaeya alberich... will you he my boyfriend?"
kaeya gave you a small scoff as a reaction and a light kiss to your lips.
"what reason do i have to refuse such a perfect man?."
