calling my lover "mine" but not in the way that my toothbrush or notebook are mine, mine in the way my neighborhood is mine, and also everybody else's, "mine" like mine to tend to, mine to care for, mine to love. "mine" not like possession but devotion.

DFF Finale
Alright alright alright that took me on a rollercoaster like some REAL high lows in that episode, I love an ambiguous ending but also I crave so much more closure owwwwwwww
However for now I'm just coming to share my theory. Ever since this post pointed out that New hallucinated Non in his death t-shirt, I've been sitting on the idea that the Janta drugs have actual supernatural qualities. These aren't just any old hallucinogens New cooked up, they're a strain of a drug that serves a specific purpose for a death cult. So now that EVERYONE hallucinated Non in his death t-shirt, even though Tee is the only one who ever saw him in it, and it's highkey unlikely that he described the shirt Non was wearing to them at any time (and certainly not to New when he hallucinated Non wearing it years ago), I would like to propose the theory that the ghost of Non they see is a very real very true ghost, and the things he says to them are very real very true things. The "thank you" he gives New is not a figment of New's troubled mind, but what Non actually has to say to him, just like everything else he says to everyone else: their actions may be the product of their guilt, but Non is actually speaking his ghostly mind to each of them.

average day in the tiktok warriors fandom
he's. he's literally described on the page as enjoying the feeling of making cats viciously maul each other. He gets "validation" for his feelings constantly through Gray Wing and his other sycophants kissing his ass, and still maliciously and intentionally torments them. He beats women and children for telling him no
What they want is BREEZEPELT. This describes BREEZEPELT. BREEZE. PELT.
The cat who is ACTUALLY reprimanded by authority for being angry all the time?? The one whose dad screeches at him for having basic needs?? A character who is explicitly shown to be manipulated by an evil force because they're the only ones who validate his feelings??
THAT Breezepelt?? Ringing any BELLS?
Lemmie guess. Tiktok probably doesn't like Breezepelt much because if you acknowledge that he's a child abuse victim, you can't keep woobifying Crowfeather into a sad boy. Lol.

consider sanuso bodyswap where Sanji is of course "admiring" Usopp's body and Usopp is trying desperately to keep himself from getting worked up so that he doesn't light himself on fire.
Luffy and Chopper are not helping. They are in fact doing the opposite of helping. They've ramped up their pranks and are doing anything possible to get Usopp angry so that he combusts, freaks out, and then dives into the ocean to put himself out. They think it's hilarious.
Nami and Brook are Also not helping, since they're conspiring with Sanji to put on a fashion show with Usopp's body. Sanji called it "not wasting a precious opportunity to get him in something other than overalls". Usopp called it mutiny and he was gonna- dive into the ocean, holy fuck Sanji why is it so easy to catch fire?!
Best part about this is that Sanji assured him, several times, that his body doesn't get hurt by catching fire. Usopp still jumps into the ocean every time.
Robin pipes up at one point, asking if Sanji was immune to just his own flames or all flames. Sanji just kind of shrugs and said it depends. Franky, having just been leisurely watching all of this gets an idea. Would his Franky Fireball hurt Sanji's body or just give him more fire to work with?
He tries to coax Usopp into agreeing to test it out and, somehow, he manages it. Albeit, Usopp is all knocking knees and chattering teeth, a very odd sight from 'Sanji'. As part of the deal though, he can only shoot a fireball the size of his hand.
Usopp meant his small hand. The one Franky used for tinkering and fine detail work. He did not, however, clarify this.
So, when a fireball the size of Franky's big hand comes out, well. Usopp runs for his goddamn life.
It takes him a few moments- and the voices of his friends sounding distant and below him- to realize he hadn't, in fact, run to the men's quarters, but rather into the fucking sky.
And oooooh, boy he is gonna kill Sanji one of these days. Why was his body's first fucking instinct when running to go up, what the actual HELL-
Usopp lit himself on fire again.
He curses out Sanji as his Sky Walk fails in the same moment and he plummets towards the deck.

By the way, apropos of nothing, but when I say "heigho it'll go without these oddments" I am in fact referencing this panel in Tintin in the Land of the Soviets which 12-year-old me decided to adopt as a catchphrase before I knew what a meme was:

why do antis think it went:
- steve lies
- billy breaks a plate over steve’s head
when it actually went:
- billy gets smacked around, called a slur, then threatened all by his father because max ran off on his watch
- billy had to drive all around town to track down where she is, while he’s supposed to be on a date
- max sets the tone by saying “he can’t know i’m here. he’ll kill me. he’ll kills us.” (which babe way dramatic jfc)
- steve (a borderline 18 year old) lies about the whereabouts of max (a 13 year old) to her stepbrother. he also lies about even knowing who she is!!!
- billy calls him out for lying
- steve says “oh shit”
- billy sends steve to the ground for being weird
- flirting
- billy goes inside
- billy sees that not only was max with steve but three other boys as well (boys that billy has only ever seen making max upset)
- billy sets his sights on lucas who he already told max to stay away from (we can talk all about the racist undertones of this interaction but that’s not what this post is about)
- billy pushes lucas and tells him to stay away from max
- lucas kicks billy (rightfully so tbh)
- billy makes a threat that 100% was not serious (you think he would actually kill a child? be fr)
- steve punches billy
- billy’s reaction to steve punching him is laughing (LAUGHING but we don’t have time to unpack allll of that)
- more flirting
- billy swings at and misses steve
- steve punches billy again
- steve punches billy a third time while the kids cheer him on
- billy is still laughing
- steve punches billy a fourth time and backs him into a corner
- like mother like son billy breaks a plate over steve’s head
- the fight turns and now steve is getting his shit rocked
- max stabs billy IN THE NECK with a syringe with an unknown substance in it (this easily could have killed him)
- max threatens billy

i genuinely love when you can tell an older show was Not made with high quality video viewing in mind. i am watching knight rider and constantly seeing all the little mistakes they surely brushed under the rug thinking nobody would see them on their crunchy little CRTs back in the 80s, that are huge attention grabbers now in HD fullscreen on my 3 foot computer monitor
the biggest one of course is all the drivers/controllers for the (in-universe) self driving car, kitt. there's guys tucked down in the footwells who can't always stay out of the shot. there's a guy who has a Car Seat Suit to blend in and look like the drivers seat from a distance, but you can always tell when that's the method they're using for a particular shot because its so much thicker than the passenger seat next to it and the headrest is missing it's cutout section. in at least one instance he starts taking the suit off too early, on a focus shot of the damn car, so its REAL visible.
all the extremely obvious stunt drivers or performers who look nothing like the character they're supposed to be
props, such as animals, vanishing from the car interior for stunt/race sequences.
the production crew (or their shadows) being visible in the background. only at a glance, but its especially hilarious in shots where nobody else is supposed to be around
the camera panning out from a sound stage set far enough that you can actually see over the edges of the set and into the stage they were filming in. mostly this happens with their truck trailer mobile unit thing.
this one isn't a mistake but every time the car "turbo jumps" they CLEARLY hide the ramp behind another car, a prop, the environment, and its just. so charming. sometimes its blatantly on screen just for a moment. like... of Course in real life this car isn't magically leaping 20 feet, of course its a ramp, but it's still so silly and fun to be reminded of how they were doing those stunts to begin with.
also not really a mistake but related, the bracket they keep on the front of the car for stunt work.... is just left on half the time. cuz it's a pain to take on and off.
and there are more examples that are more unique that haven't cemented themselves in my head well yet, but these are the more notable or common things i see and it's really charming. if i'm not giggling to myself noticing the "seams" and flaws and so human imperfections of your show or movie what EVEN is the point. hollywood is too flashy these days i think!

I'm continuing my thoughts on the overall presentation of AC6 and there's a certain beautiful tragedy/tragic beauty in the events of all three routes. I didn't play 4 or 5 at all, but things are much less personal in the other games—like it's hard to call Evangel or Jack-O or Zinaida your rivals, per se, because the end of the world feels like business as usual in the hellscape of 3's setting.
And Rubicon is absolutely a hellscape and you're still a mercenary, but you have a choice and each choice has a price in blood. The Liberator route sees Carla and Chatty go down fighting tooth and nail to avert what they see as the doom of mankind, and I feel like that's the most "hopeful" ending (at least at face value).
Part of it is in the presentation. The cinematic freeze frame going on when you deal a boss the final blow emphasizes decisive moments and finalities, and there's a certain romance to it happening with, say, a laser blade. The chattier characters add to this, too. You feel accomplished when you shoot through JUGGERNAUT or CATAPHRACT, the final blow highlighted to glorify you, the victor. The assistance from Ayre as you take on a desperate battle against ARQUEBUS is driven to a height of emotion by the exhilarating "Contact With You," a track that is at times joyous and fearful and soaring.

So i had a dream last night which wasn't a nightmare and i even remember most of it! which is super exciting. I barely ever remember dreams that are just simply that so this is a fairly rare occasion for me.
It was weird tho
But it was.. i don't even know what it was so let me ramble about it in the tags a bit
