If only there was a better solution to this. The only thing Kadai can ever think of is GRABBING HIM & BEATING THE SENSE back into him ; reasoning with the Inquisitor has long been out of the question. His loyalty to the Skeksis is terrifying and resolute. Kadai knows she might have already l o s t Temenos to their thrall , she knows that prolonging the inevitable is simply … Putting them both at risk. But if there is still a c h a n c e , should she not take the risk just the same ? Should she not seize it and CLING TO IT ? For him , she would do a n y t h i n g .
Perhaps that is why there comes no real falter , no real resistance when Temenos pulls her close with his staff , the two gelfling standing near nose-to-nose as he utters his piece , believing – rather FOOLISHLY – he’s at l a s t caught the elusive quarry his Lords have sent him after. Kadai grins at him ; features SPLITTING WIDE APART in a show of fangs and none of the friendliness , a slash of startling w h i t e cutting garishly across her dark-hued features. ❝ Oh ? ❞ She asks aloud , followed shortly by her meanspirited c a c k l i n g , each note like a ringing blade ; clear , crisp , condescending. How many times shall they play this game ? How many times shall they have such a conversation ? ❝ And to whom , O’Inquisitor , do I give my prayers to ? The LORDS ? ❞ A scoff , head tossing , ears and wings flicking. ❝ Please ! You think they would care ? You think they would listen ? They only humor you to manipulate you ! Such has been the case for trine upon trine ! ❞ Her voice raises , practically s h o u t i n g at him. Not wise to antagonize him and his faith , but Kadai doesn’t much c a r e for being wise.
Although her hands are bound , she’s still f r e e in other ways. Her sharp-tipped tail lifts and JABS HIS SIDE with a stabbing force , not enough to impale but enough to give herself some breathing room , ❝ I suppose I shall pray just the same , ❞ Kadai says , continuing the momentum of the conversation , ❝ I shall pray that you open your eyes and see the truth for YOURSELF ! ❞ She bounces away a few steps , light on the balls of her feet , bringing herself to the ledge of the clifface. Watching him for a moment or two , Kadai grins again. ❝ You know , we really must stop meeting like this , ❞ She teeters over the edge , ❝ I fear I might fall for you ! ❞ And there she goes , throwing herself into open air , down towards the frothing sea below. It’s suicide to try flying in a s t o r m for most , but Kadai is well-known for her risky endeavors. Her wings flare open , catching the churning , angry currents of the winds which carry her immediately aloft. Temenos is not lucky today ; perhaps next time ( as there is assuredly going to be a next time ) .

Date: June 2nd, 2022
Time: 2:55 AM, Penguin Standard Time
The events of the “Luigi Board” experiment, as documented by Agent Tau (otherwise known as Richter).
To test if any “ghosts”, “poltergeists”, or “spirits” of any kind were present within the Puffle Hotel, it was suggested by Agent Paige, aka Puffle Handler that a “Luigi Board” was used to communicate with “spirits from the beyond”.
Several candles were set up within the confines of the hotel room in a small circle, which was surrounded in a larger circle of salt at the suggestion of Agent [Classified] who claims that the salt is crucial, as he saw a seance without such protections go terribly in a horror movie.
Due to 3am being the “witching hour”, it was decided that we would conduct this experiment at this time.
Before we started, to insure our alertness and that none of us would be too tired to sleep, we consumed energy drinks or coffee (I myself abstained from consuming either, especially the coffee), slept during the day in order to be more alert at night, or simply exercised to “keep our blood pumping”. We consumed a light meal of squid pizza and breadsticks at 2:30 AM to avoid being distracted by hunger, which was of course purchased from the Pizza Parlor at 8:00 PM, an hour before closing. Other biological needs, such as having to use the lavatory or drinking water were dealt with prior to the experiment to avoid distractions as well.
As the skeptic of the group, I was designated to transcribe the ordeal rather than use the “Luigi Board” alongside Paige and [Classified]. Paige was designated to “lead” the questions, while [Classified] would move the “planchette” and remain silent. Before starting, we ensured the candles were properly lit, the room was completely dark (asides from the candlelight, of course), and that it was as quiet as possible.
Written below is the transcribed event.

[PH] Hey there…anyone here?

[PH]Okay mate, first off, it’s a Wega board. Second off, you can’t just interrupt like this, at least ask that after we’re finished. And third off, how does the ideomotor effect apply to this when ghosts have been on this island for ages?
[Agent Classified] Wait, Wega? I’ve been pronouncing it Ouijij this whole time!

The candles were put out and stored, the salt was swept up, and there were no notable changes. I have started to feel what some may refer to as “dread”, but I am sure it is nothing to worry about.

Loosing grace

Watching someone slip away from you is, painful. Actually. Memories flood your mind about them at every chance. Every little thing.
George was never, sober. Unless he was asleep. That was something Dream had noticed. He’d escaped, he’d taken over. And this man, the love of his life. Could not care less. Or maybe he could, that’s why he smoked all the time.
It was, depressing to see. To have your best friend, your lover so close. But so far. Dream sat down on that same couch. Next to George. He glanced over at Dream.
The flecks of warmer brown in his eyes caught in the light. Shimmering entrancingly. He was, so in love. And he just wanted George to know that. To reciprocate that feeling.
And in a way, Dream knew that was impossible. But he was going to keep trying. George kept saying occasional words in another language. It was not one he recognised.
Not a loosing battle, there was no battle. Just a realisation of what had been lost, and a constant effort to earn it back. Maybe that was a battle then.
Now Dream sat at George’s bedside, waiting for him to wake up.
Almost on command when Dream thought that George’s eyes began to open. Yawning. Finally his eyes found Dream. Staring at him.
“Want some water?” Dream offered, holding out a bottle of water.
Groaning George sat up, rolling his shoulders back. “Yeah, thanks.” Dream handed him the bottle, watching carefully as George uncorked it and easily drained it.
A clock ticked somewhere in the background and George and Dream sat in silence. Finally George sighed, “do you know if your real?”
“Do I know if I’m-” Dream pinched himself, prodding at his skin, “-yes I’m pretty sure I’m real.”
“Oh, good.” George paused, “I’m glad your here or whatever. What day is it?”
Dream mentally double checked the date, “February 18th why?”
George nodded, “okay, okay.” he moved out of the bed, walking over to his cabinet. Retrieving a notebook and pen. Scribbling down, something. “Well, it’s nice to see you Dream. You must have escaped prison?”
“Yes.”
George was sober now Dream realised, and had no idea what was going on. Was this really his George? Who, who was this?

PROMPTED.
An UNCOMFORTABLE SILENCE falls over the office after the demon speaks the question ( why is she around ? ) . Forcing him to cast j u d g m e n t on an innocent human girl – ! Claudius rolls his shoulders , hunching forward to press his face into his waiting palms ; their calloused depths plunging him into sobering , momentary darkness while he carefully considers his response. Moira was right to question him ( just as anyone would have been entitled to inquire after his intentions ) ; for all the years they’ve served him , it was nothing but fair that he should pay it forward with HONESTY . But they both knew honesty was not an easy thing for the Chimera. This conversation was already proving tedious and strenuous ( his nerves riled ; his pulse throbbing erratically ) .
Slowly , he lifts his head , fingers folded together in front of his lips , hiding the agitated f r o w n and tension strung through his jaw. Morfid shifts in their chair under his dangerous glare , rubbing their arms to rid themself of the sparking energy catching on their clothes and biting into the frozen flesh below. A steeling breath , he quietly speaks , “I CARE about her , Moira.”
A sigh of relief from the demon , simply grateful he did not elect to provoke the situation. “I get that , Claud , I d o . Trust me , we all care ‘bout her.” They hesitate a moment ‘fore continuing the thought , “I jus’ think it might be r i s k y gettin’ closer t’her.”
His hands lower , settling atop his desk. He leans forward , lips curling back from his teeth. “I thought you told me she was GOOD for me ? Now - suddenly - you have changed your mind ?”
“Nononono- of course not !” A hand waves off his accusation , “I’m jus’ tellin’ ya’ - if y’value my opinion at all - that she’ll get into trouble. And …” They shake their head. “And I wonder what y’re gonna do when we’re th’ cause of th’ trouble.”
With those words , Claudius’s expression falls , his pale gaze flooded with realization ( a painful recognition of the very real possibility presented to him ) . “We could be putting her in danger,” He admits more to himself than Morfid. “But I- I wouldn’t let that happen.”
“Sometimes , we can’t help it,” Morfid points out. “‘S jus’ part of what we are.”
