I’m going to have to resume posting images—if only to replace those boring boxes of text below the header of this blog (on the mobile app).  (Imagine me—me! blogging. If you had told me six months ago …)

Really—music performance as part of the action in BLs can be so lame …!  I should probably be more specific—separate the better from the worse—but my scholarship here just isn’t up to the level of (ahem) some of our bl bloggers, l’m afraid.

The music performance in Bad Buddy would just have to be better than tolerable, given the quality of everything else there—and it was. Why RU ? is of a lesser level, as in all too many other cases.

But these guys, lip-synching half the time, are just too cute to be giving them grief ! So, we’ll take what we are given. This too shall pass, as they say.

And our patience is rewarded: after their nervous and lackluster duo performance, and while the primary couple, Fighter and Tutor, are still wrestling, musicians Zon and Saifah finally, at the end of the eighth episode, kiss. With the best singing so far, behind the action …

Oh Anon, he's just @pharawee and I's baby boy, the absolute light of our lives!

Karn Kritsanaphan (กานต์ กฤษณะพันธ์) or Jimmy Karn played Saifah in the Why R U? (2020) where he was partnered with Tommy Sittichok playing Zon.

For those whom might not know, yes, they were in the ZeeSaint show. A lot of people forget about SaifahZon and I swear to god I -

He also appeared alongside Tommy (and other Mandee talents) in Close Friend, Remember 15 and Cutie Pie. He was also in the korean bl Peach of Time with Choi Jaehyun.

However, Cutie Pie is important because although him, Tommy, Net and James appeared at the end, as it was Domundi's way to announce we were getting Bed Friend with NetJames (which we got it) and Middleman's Love with JimmyTommy (which we didn't get).

As you have probably realized, Middleman's Love has TutorYim as the leads and that's because Jimmy eventually had to stept out of the recording of ML and acting altogether due to his mental health. This resulted in him completely going MIA online, which good for him and his mental health but also made us miss him even more so.

Only recently (around mid-to-late 2023) he started to reappear only and around the Domundi Boys and joining into their events, and he appeared on the pilot trailer of Zomvivor, which made us really happy ✨

however, Domundi hadn't made any announcements or news that he was going to join any series AT ALL (apart from Zomvivor), so him appearing on The Next Prince's trailer with a new partner has being a really pleasant surprise! We have missed him dearly 😭😭😭

Why R U (Korea) Eps 1 & 2 Stray Thoughts

I truly do not know why we are getting a Korean adaptation of Why R U, but I suppose the Saifah and Zon story will be completed this time.

Episode 1

WTF this is the second blind-and-you-miss-it Domundi cameo. Hello, Max and Nat??

Episode 1: Polar opposites

I appreciate a show introducing two characters who don’t get along, and then immediately showing us why they don’t get along.

Beefing on sight with someone, and then holding onto it forever, is so real.

This is so petty. I love it.

It’s interesting that the original Thai show released around the same time as The Shipper. I wonder if we’ll be doing some exploration of the external judgment of male interactions.

I appreciate the respect this adaptation is showing in that some of the sequences mirror the Thai version.

This is making me want to watch A Man Who Defies the World of BL again.

Episode 2

This girl is keeping her fic on a flash drive in this day and age???

Fellas, is it gay to doodle about your hated rival?

I don’t remember their schooling mattering as much last time, but I like that they’re in acting classes.

Okay, I’m enjoying the way they’re acting out the fantasy sequences.

They really called this man an NPC when they’re all relying on his help. Thus begins my villain arc.

I feel like one of these classmates is also one of the interns in Jun & Jun right now.

So have Sunwoo and Yungyeon been mutually crushing this whole time? Why date his friend then?

I really like how this water-giving sequence didn’t carry a sexual or romantic aura.

I’m still not sure why we’re doing a Korean adaptation of this, but this didn’t suck!
