could i request a brienne x reader where it’s a long while after what happened with jaime and reader comes into brienne’s life -u can decide how- and reader is sweet and really really likes brienne which is why reader is a bit clingy. brienne is understandably a little cold and has her guard up and one day lashes out at reader because they’re just gonna leave her too anyway. later she sees reader crying to pod and she feels bad and instead of her apologizing reader apologizes for pushing things and brienne feels even worse and brienne explains her actions so reader promises to never leave her. A/n: Thank you so, so much!! I really liked the idea and I hope I did it justice.

Brienne had been part of Bran Starks Kingsguard for nearly two years now, and she was very happy that Podrick had been knighted and taken in the Kingsguard as well. Even if she would never admit it she would have missed him terribly. Other than her, Podrick was really open towards new people and always found new friends.

And one day he introduced Brienne to you. She felt that she was instantly drawn to you, but she forbid herself to ever feeling something like that. She didn't want it to go downhill, just like it did with Jamie.

You however, also felt drawn to her and acted on it. A lot. You loved spending time with her. Watching her fight was your favourite thing. Whenever you saw her walk around you accompanied her. Grabbing her arm and happily telling her about your day.

Sure you had noticed her coldness and that she had her guards up at all time. But you didn't take it personally and thought she just needed some time warming up. You never knew how she was treated in her live. Not just the Jamie-thing but also the general resentment people had against her. For you it was unthinkable that anyone could not like her.

You tried everything to warm her up and to look through her guard. You gifted her flowers, you invited her and Pod for dinner, you asked her to accompany you in the city. Most of the time she said no, but sometimes you felt you broke through to her, and she said yes. Still you wouldn't tire and try again and again.

You really thought you were making progress until one day everything went wrong.

It was such a beautiful and warm day, and you had woken up with the idea in your head to ask Brienne put for a picnic. Who could say no to a picnic?

So you prepared everything and went to search for her. Your heart made jumps as you saw her, as an exception not in armour. So you happily approached her and looped your arm through hers. You felt her tense at that, so you respected the boundary and took a step back. But the smile didn't fade. You still beamed at her.

"Brienne, I thought it would be the perfect day for a picnic? Would you like to accompany me? Pod could also come if you'd like." You saw her look annoyed at that and already braced yourself for the coming rejection but what came next was something you never expected.

"No, (Y/n). I do not want to go on a picnic with you. Could you please stop annoying me all the time? I know you're just going to leave me anyway. So stop bothering and let me be." You had never heard her getting so loud and harsh. For a second you didn't even know what to say. But as you felt the tears prick in your eyes you mumbled out an apology and turned around on the heel. So no picnic.

You didn't even know where to go. The tears were now streaming down your face like a waterfall. Your first thought was Pod. So you went to find him.

"(Y/n), what has happened?" Podrick pulled you into a hug and sat you down next to him. You cried his whole shirt wet. But he didn't care.

"I- I thought I was breaking through with Brienne. It seemed like she wasn't as cold anymore, but I just asked her out on a picknick, and she completely lashed out. What have I done wrong? Why does she hate me Pod?" Pod looked at you empathically.

"I'm sure she doesn't hate you. She's just been hurt a lot and doesn't trust easily. It's hard for her to express her feelings."

"No, I pushed her too much. I'm sure she hates me now." You clung to Pods shirt and cried even more. What neither of you knew was that Brienne had also wanted to talk to Pod, and she had heard your conversation. She felt bad. Really bad. She didn't hate you, and she never wanted to be so harsh. She was just scared.

"(Y/n), I-" She came around the corner and in less than a second you were on you feet. Starting to ramble an apology.

"I'm sorry, Brienne. I shouldn't have been so pushy. You clearly aren't interested, and I should have accepted that." More tears fell down your cheeks, you couldn't even stop them.

Brienne took a step forward and against all her instincts she grabbed your hands and sat down with you. Podrick slowly left you to alone, knowing that you really needed to talk. Alone.

"There is no need for you to apologise, (Y/n). I am the one who should apologise. I had no right to shout at you and get so loud. I don't hate you. I really don't, please never think that. I just... In the past I have been hurt, a lot. From my childhood on people have called me names, made fun of me, bullied me or called me 'Brienne the Beauty'. Of course that was a joke. But because of that I have always been very reserved and, quite frankly, alone. But a few years ago I fell in love. For the first time ever I trusted someone, and I was instantly hurt. He left me for someone else and died protecting the Queen. After that I swore myself to never trust anyone again. I would be hurt sooner or later." To be honest, you were shocked. It had never occurred to you that Brienne could not be liked, that she could have even been bullied and called names. To you she was just perfect. And you told her that.

"I'm so sorry, Brienne. I didn't know any of that. I can't believe people are so cruel. But I can promise you: I will never leave you. To me, you are perfect and amazing. There is nothing about you to make fun of. Each little part and thing about you makes you special. Every flaw, every imperfection, every insecurity." You warmly smiled at her and stroked over her hands. Your tears long forgotten.

"Thank you, so much." Brienne tightly hugged you and even though it still took some time for her to fully grasp it all, she started to trust you more and more. And she even learned to get used to the physical touch.

The Skeleton King Is Coming Alive

I have tightened up the narrative beats of the story and while building out the first level I realized compositionally I was really happy with how I was able to separate the foreground and the background...But the scale wasn't right. The top image is 320 x 180 which can scale up to 1920 x 1080 but I wasn't happy with how limited was vertically and horizontally for player movement and enemies. I realized it was very tight. SO. I scaled up the play field to 480 x 270 which can also scale up to 1080 which you can see below.

I'm a lot happier with this version compositionally and I'm almost back to where I was originally with mapping out level 1 and oooooooo buddy am I excited. The Skeleton King has set on an adventure and it is taking him through diverse locales and all over the realm. The first level here where we find the Skeleton King is an old abandoned crypt that has fallen into disrepair.

Why is a king in an abandoned crypt? Why is that king a skeleton? And why are we in an abandoned crypt? Hmmmmmm....mysteries.

DARIUS MARTIN'S POV

"WHY WON'T YOU LISTEN TO ME!?"

I hated raising my voice to her, but I needed her listen to me, just this once.

"I am Darius," YN said calmly. She wasn't one to yell. Wasn't one for confrontation, but she is holding her ground against me on this.

"But I need you to talk to me like an adult and not some child. I will not be yelled at."

I ran my hands over my face in frustration, but I closed my eyes and took a few deep breaths, knowing that YN was right.

"Now, what makes you think I shouldn't marry Barry?"

"YN, I am telling you this because you are my best friend, but he isn't a good guy. He hasn't stopped going to the strippers even though he told you he did."

"I don't believe you."

"YN, I saw him with my own two eyes when we were in New York."

"He told me he was seeing a couple of friends. He even sent me photos from him at a club. Barry wasn't lying to me."

"YN, he isn't a good guy. He has cheated on you multiple times."

"And we always work past them. He let's me look through his phone to make sure. He tells me where he is going. He has changed for me. Why can't you see that?"

I was getting frustrated with her, so I turned around and screamed into the air.

"Why can't you see that he is a horrible piece of shit?"

"Darius Martin, how dare you! That is the man I am going to marry, tomorrow. Mind you."

"Call off the wedding. Ask him about his other phone." Silence.

"He doesn't have another phone, Darius."

"YN, you need to believe me on this. Please. He has another phone. I saw it that night."

"At the strippers?" She had air qoutes with the word strippers. "Yes, there. You know I was there with some friends, but when I saw Barry, I went to confront him, knowing he was supposed to stop going to the strippers and spending so much money."

"Why are you lying to me, Darius?" I could tell by her tone of voice. She was getting very angry with me.

I knew right then and there that she wasn't going to believe me. That she was going to be a fool and marry the man who probably has a baby or two out there.

"You know what? Forget it." I took a step back and held up my hands in defeat.

"You marry that piece of shit, but do not come crying to me when you finally wake up and see that I was right. That he is a no-good lying asshole. Who bragged that night to his friends that he has two phones and two bank accounts and has been. I am done."

"Darius, don't say that," YN tried to touch my arm, but I just pulled it away.

"I am done seeing you cry over him. Listening to you say that you will never go back to him, but he gives you a gift and says something sweet and you are right back with him."

I grabbed my coat and phone, trying to ignore her cries of my name. I slammed her front door closed, and my heart broke, listening to the sound her crying.

But I can't stand by anymore. This best thing for me to do is walk away.

YN'S POV:

My mind kept playing what happened between Darius and I last night. I didn't want to believe him, even though deep down inside, I knew he was right.

I knew Barry had another phone. I found it while I was doing laundry, but I just put it back where I found it as it was password protected.

I shouldn't have said yes when Barry asked me to marry him, but I was hoping he would change, but it seems like he hasn't.

But my friendship with Darius ending hurt me more than anything. Even as I stood waiting for the wedding march to start.

Even more when I was handed a note by Barry's best man.

'I can't do this.'

I cried, of course. Being stood up the day of your wedding is embarrassing. People were screaming and yelling.

A fight broke out between my Dad and Barry's Dad, I had to get away. I had to get away from everyone looking at me like I just lost out on the greatest man to ever walk the earth.

But I did last night when my best friend walked out on me. I quickly changed out of this suffocating wedding dress and made my way to Darius Hotel room, hoping he hasn't left town yet.

Two knocks, and he opened the door, probably expecting room service.

"YN." His look of surprise at seeing me standing there when he knows I should be saying my vows at this point probably had him confused.

"He stood me up." I finally said it. I haven't said it since I was handed the note less two hours ago. Darius stepped aside and let me into his hotel.

"Oh, sweetheart." Darius opened his arms, and I snuggled into his chest and finally cried.

Cried at the time I have wasted on Barry. Cried at the lies, I told to keep myself happy. Cried at all the money I spent on this wedding when all I wanted was a small one, but no, Barry wanted a massive wedding.

"Shh, it's okay." Darius was rubbing my back, trying to soothe me. I pulled away from him just a bit, shaking my head.

"No, it isn't. I should have listened to you. You were right. I knew about it all. The strippers, the bank accounts, the extra phone. I just kept lying to myself. I am sorry for not believing you."

Darius wiped away my tears and had me look into his eyes.

"And the worst of all? I almost lost you because of him." I closed my eyes at the thought that has haunted me ever since Darius left my house last night.

"I was a fool, Darius." I finally said.

"No, he is a fool. He took you for granted, knowing what a kind, sweet woman you are."

"I can't lose you, Darius. Not now, not ever."

He pulled into his chest once more and kissed the top of my head.

"I am not going anywhere, YN."

Background: As a commoner, Aileen wasn't expected to learn how to read or write and instead takeover the glassblowing family business. Not satisfied with just being a glassblower, Aileen sought ways to learn how to read simple scripts. This led to xem meeting Danielle in Alstas 1080, who happened to be in the midst of escaping from yons lesson. Curious, Aileen asked why Danielle was running away, with the latter replying that yon was in no mood to study as yons mother passed recently

Aileen decided to help Danielle escape yons lessons, bringing yon on adventures across Balwirk. In 1090, Danielle remarked that it was surprising that the Tasachs allowed Aileen to do whatever xe pleased. Aileen responded that it wasn't the case, and xe was trying to run away from a life that xe wasn't content with. Xe continued that some day in the future, Ratein would know xyr name. Danielle marvelled at yons friend's ambition, and offered to make xyr dreams come true. Soon, Danielle was teaching Aileen how to read and write as the latter dreamt of being a renowned inventor

In 1149, there were whispers of a radical group of elven researchers who sought ways to preserve life even after their heads had been severed from the neck. Curious about the experiment, Aileen tried to find out more but xyr parents banned xem from doing so. Danielle agreed with the Tasachs, with xe assuring yon that the experiment had to be ethical as deliberately cutting heads off alive elves was unthinkable

By Vierum 1175, the number of elves disappearing had climbed to almost ten thousand. Worried for Danielle, Aileen went to the Dardío residence to check on yon but ended up captured by unknown researchers. When xe woke up, the researchers were about to toss xyr head into the bin and promptly screamed. The researchers cheered, carving the number 15 on the back of xyr left hand. Initially meant to be locked up in a room with other survivors, Aileen convinced the researchers to let xem stay to watch how the experiment was conducted, swearing to never speak to anyone about it and even going as far as to offer xyr tongue

Aileen was surprised when the researchers allowed xem to stay on with xyr tongue intact, though xe was still restrained with magic draining chains. An undetermined length of time had passed when they brought in an unconscious Addyson, with Aileen noting that based on the elf's skin colour, she could use sound magic. Xe hoped that the elf would survive the experiment, nearly throwing up as xe watched the experiment being carried out. Horrified by the lack of ethics, xe resolved to make sure that the experiment's current methods never saw the light of day

Aileen was relieved when Addyson woke up, her head angled towards xyr. Aileen quickly mouthed to Addyson to use her magic to break free before she was chained up, the latter complying by amplifying her shouting such that it stunned everyone present. Addyson managed to wriggle free from the straps and rushed to free Aileen, who then searched for the rooms that the survivors were locked in and freed Hywel and Danielle, who in turn freed Hugh and Giselle

Apart from Gerald, Cain, and Fiona, the remaining 13 survivors killed the rest of the researchers and ended the experiment. Despite their distaste towards the entire act, they kept the notes and studied it. Aileen was able to identify the flaws in the research notes, which cultivated in the alarmingly high mortality rate. Using Ilias' existing research on arcane magic, xe, Hywel, and Eva were able to create a ritual that tapped onto Ratein's ley lines which made it safer to turn someone into a dullahan. Afterwards, they destroyed the original notes such that no one could ever attempt the cruel methods used to create dullahans again

Brianna and Danielle then pointed out that the very notion of turning someone into a dullahan was unthinkable, and sought to get an unanimous consensus that under no circumstances should the 16 turn others into dullahans unless the individual in question was prepared to bear the curse of being one. Aileen eagerly agreed, the memory of the experiments still fresh in xyr mind as well as how unethical it was to begin with. Once everyone agreed, Aileen and Danielle returned home only to be met with wariness from their families. Deciding that it was for the best, Aileen invited Danielle to travel across Ratein while xe researched more about the world which yon agreed

In Durna 1529, Aileen had a breakthrough and managed to brew potions that mainly consisted of flora, though the caveat was that they had to be infused with magic in order for the potion's intended effect to last for an extremely long time. Not only that, it was extremely difficult to obtain infused flora naturally and infusing magic into flora was unheard of. Wanting to support yons friend, Danielle suggested that Aileen could conduct research on infusing magic into flora. Xe almost acted upon yons suggestion, but realised that they hadn't hung out properly in a long time and decided to not research upon said topic in favour of repairing their friendship

Aileen then learnt that Danielle was documenting their experiences and even the various species found in Ratein in hopes of educating others. Xe decided that it was xyr turn to support yon and helped yon organise Danielle's notes on Ratein such that it was easy to follow, with xe declaring that xe was proud of yon. Sometime in 1543, Danielle asked Aileen if xe ever wondered what the rest of the survivors were doing or if xyr family was safe. As if on cue, a letter from Lyuharrno was delivered to Danielle. Surprised, yon soon learnt that it was from Brianna, who had heard rumours of the Fourteenth Dullahan compiling a traveller's guide, asking if yon could add a chapter on frostulls in the guide

Danielle decided to travel to Lyuharrno in order to gather more information about frostulls from the Ninth Dullahan. With Danielle away, Aileen decided to briefly look into artificially infusing magic into flora, however without Danielle, xe realised that xe was dependent on yon and felt bad about using yon while xe was researching on potion craft. Even though Danielle returned in 1547, Aileen decided to change the research topic to teleportation so that xe can visit Danielle any time should their paths ever diverge. To do so, xe decided to return to Balwirk and sought out the Netroses for their ability to use teleportation magic. Aileen had also reached out to Ilias in 1550 in hopes of discussing the prospect of teleportation portals accessible for everyone

In 1561 while getting Hugh's parents to open multiple portals simultaneously, the physical and mental strain on them took their toll and in turn, put their lives in danger. While Danielle had managed to save them, both parents were barely able to open teleportation portals for themselves, let alone for multiple people. This forced Aileen to seek other alternatives as xe didn't want to put any more lives at risk especially since the Netroses passed away a few months later due to the strain. Even so, xe was determined to finish xyr research with Ilias' help

Aileen then faced numerous assassins coming after xyr and Danielle in the 17th Century, both soon learning that the Unois Empire wanted to put a stop to Aileen's current research. In 1668, xe had encountered a human Drágyliskan selling trinkets and offered xyr a pair of platinum bracelets. She also offered xyr the opportunity to engrave a message on one of the plates with xyr special someone, with Aileen rushing to get Danielle so that they could get friendship bracelets. While Danielle was engraving yons message to Aileen, the Drágyliskan brought Aileen to one side and asked if xe would do anything to stop the Unois Empire. Aware of the threat it poses to Balwirk, Aileen agreed and was informed to never let Danielle set foot on the battlefield at any cost that when the Balwirkian War broke out. Xe then asked what made her so sure that a war would break out, with the latter explaining that she could see the future and that the best timeline for everyone involved was for Danielle to heal the survivors in a safehouse

Confused but not wanting to risk xyr friend's safety, Aileen decided to take the Drágyliskan's warning to heart. Xe resolved to not tell Danielle about what she had said as xe didn't want yon to worry, especially about a war that might not even surface. However in Trieme 1701, the Drágyliskan's words rang true as Balwirk entered a war against the Unois Empire. The Fourteenth Dullahan volunteered to provide medical attention to those on the battlefield as yon wanted to make good use of yons healing magic. Aileen, taking the Drágyliskan's warning to heart, convinced yon to stay in a safehouse and treat the survivors instead

On 18 Rexim 1706, xe was with Brianna and Eva during the war when the ambush broke out and killed many dullahans in the process, with the trio severely injured. They were all horrified when Cain appeared before Brianna, only to kill her right before their very eyes with a thrilled smile on his pale features. Aileen correctly deduced that Eva would be his next target due to her telepathic magic, and decided to sacrifice xemself to buy her time to escape...

I've basically been doing very little with my time besides watching Shaman King 2021 so phew, here are some thoughts on Episodes 10-32!

Episode 10

The bit with everybody hanging out at the inn was adorable, hee.

I LOVE BOZ THEY'RE SO FUNNY

It's odd that Yoh is already paying that much attention to "Hao" considering the name has come up once? But yeah...

Ryu comes back!! And damn, he already qualified for the main tournament?

Bason and Ren are too cute. Also, it's interesting to watch Ren's mindset change and hee, we get the showdown against Tao En!

Episode 11

Phew — Ren gets captured by his Pops and the Zoldyck vibes INTENSIFY.

I don't remember the Tao family having their own Super Sentai Squad, but hey, it tracks!

It's a bit of a shame that these battles were concluded so quickly, but it was cool to see Horohoro and Ryu's upgrades!

Can't believe Tao Rn squeezed that poor baby panda to death only for it to be resurrected as a zombie in the next scene! SHEESH!

Episode 12

This episode also went at THE SPEED OF LIGHT! I cant believe we got Jun's dramatic rescue and the whole Tao En reveal and fight in the same episode! I mean, at this speed, Ren's deep loyalty to the gang does seem a bit goofy, but hey, I'll deal!

Ryu saying, "Just what exactly do you think wavering is?" had me laughing so much, oh man.

Episode 13

How is SO MUCH happeningin EVERY EPISODE?

Yoh and the crew leave home!

They meet Hao!

They get dropped out of a plane!

They meet Lilirara, who's really cool! There's sone backstory!

They go on their way — AND THEN LILIRARA DIES???

Wild!!!!

Horohoro continues to be adorable and guh, I'm really enjoying watching the episodes dubbed... honestly, the dub iis really, really good!

Episode 14

WHEEE LYSERG THE DOOFUS IS HERE... to be honest he's a lil green Sherlock. Isn't it nice that everyone has a colour-coded Oracle Bell lol Yoh's is orange and Lyserg's is green... it's been like 15 years but I still don't know if I've forgiven him for what comes later. Whoops.

Anna is such a great character and I love how much bearing she has on the story.

New ending! And it's Iron Maiden Jeanne!!

Also, the goof with 6 years versus 8 years... Lyserg's parents definitely weren't killed 6 years ago, sheesh.

Episode 15

Okay, so this was one of the eps where the pacing was definitely painful. Anna got a (hodgepodge) version of Hao's backstory — honestly, why didn't Yohmei just tell her the whole deal if he was going to reveal so much? And then, she dealt with Hao's familiars SO QUICKLY that there was like. No threat to them at all. I was expecting more boom bang...

But she did use the 1080 beads! We love the 1080 beads!

Horohoro is just one of the best characters and I loved his upgrade, gosh. Again, we could have had a whole episode dedicated to his time with Apollo, rather than 10 mins. I also don't know HOW Ranger Bluebell knew bout him wanting to become the Shaman King since that wasn't discussed

For obvious reasons, Morphin is renamed Morphia in the dub, hue.

Episode 16

Not much that I can say about this episode (I was a bit sleepy when I watched it). Ryu is getting an upgrade — at lastl! And this episode had some of the humour I love from Shaman King: the whole bit with the vampiric guys was SO funny. "If there are only 5 in the group, why do two of them look the same?!" Yoh/Ren/Horohoro are such a darling trio.

Episode 17

WHICH MEANS... ERIC STUART!!!

And man I hate Marco (thought ťhe X-Laws are great villains who basically permanently impacted mine and my friends' psyches; they're a specific type of evil) but boy oh boy, it is sooo good to hear Seto Kaiba in an anime again, sobs.

Lyserg... tbh, I don't think I ever forgave his betrayal back from 2001; THERE'S STILL A PART OF ME THAT'S MAD. I wonder if I might feel differently this time around but I half-expected the little green bean to run off with the X-Laws in this very episode so I was a bit surprised when he didn't.

And then a surprise! Hao chatted to Anna and Manta and Tamao! Anna looks so cool with the sunglasses, lol. Though... I feel like Manta's being from money is largely a plot device (because how else would everyone get to the States)... but I often find this with rich/wealthy characters. sighs!

Oh, also! The Shaman King timeline is SO WHACK. Like, Ryu says to Yoh: "You forgot about me in Izumo which is when I trained to be a shaman." But here's the problem. I think Ryu only went to Izumo in the he first place to take Manta there and THEN he trained with Yohmei — but the flashback reveals that Ryu had to wait for a week to get Yohmei to train him (why is Mikihisa Like That btw) which means that. Yoh would have already been back and fighting and drawing against Ren and therefore concluding prelims in the same time that Ryu was supposedly waiting for Yohemi to train him? And yet Ryu somehow had an Oracle Bell AND qualified for the main tournament? While Ren had only completed two battles?

fudjdjd stuff like this drives me absolutely cuckoo I NEED WRITERS TO HAVE CHARTS AND TOURNAMENT TABLES AND TIMELINES AND ALL ELSE. URHFJFJD

Phew... to say that the X-Laws are brutal is putting it lightly... and looking at Jeanne and the way she was in this episode and knowing that she ends up with Ren is very. HUH?

I kind of can't believe just how laidback Yoh is sometimes. It kinda irritates me a tiny bit? Back in the day, I couldn't choose between Yoh, Ren and Horohoro for the Favourite Character Spot, but I'm not firmly Team Horohoro, ehe.

Poor Team Niles. Gosh.

Episode 22

Crying and sobbing... why won't Shaman King just give me. A TIMELINE? So now I discover that it's been TWO MONTHS since they were in the Patch village (???) and it's already the last battle of the first round of the tournament (???) and that Anna already taught Team Funbari Hot Springs EVERYTHING in Hao's big bad book (???) and? We didn't get to see any of that? Like I understand this decision if that's how it went down in the manga and the double OS was a major, unprecedented reveal, but if not... I LOVE A TRAINING MONTAGE. Give me these arcs...

Also, the dub's choices for which terms to leave in Japanese are messy. They use words like Onmyoji and Ultra Senji Ryakketsu, but 'Mana' replaces 'furyoku'... like I'm pretty sure the 4Kids dub used furyoku because it was a term I was v. familiar with.

Anyway, its nice to see a battle span two eps!

Episode 23

Wowee... this episode got me teary. Ryu's upgrade is NICE and Anna talking about the flexibility of Yoh's furyoku was so sweet. I also love the Icemen and their design — and it was particularly cute to see Pino and Horohoro chatting together at the end.

And then Hao's whole convo with Ren (the 4Kids dub called him Len and Yoh nicknamed him Lenny which was the cutest; gah, things I miss!) was really interesting

BUT WHY HAS YOH SOUGHT OUT LYSERG THE TRAITOR... ooft!

Episode 24

WAAAA WHAT A COOL EPISODE?

Okay, so it turns out that I was wrong about all the matches being over because this ep was HAO VS THE X-LAWS and damn, Hao using OXYGEN as his medium? That's bloody cool!!!

The OST in this ep was top tiiieeer and freaking — the X-Laws being humanised? A bit? I am SHOCKED.

Episode 25

Revelations galore... and Yohmei Tries to Commit Infanticide: Extended Edition.

Blimey. This anime is getting me so emotional.

(I love Horohoro I love what a good friend he is he is my FAVOURITE.)

WOW I LOVED THIS EPISODE.

The senior Asakura and Tao folks coming together to discuss Hao's bigtime book and the gang finally finding out about Yoh's origins! I got to see TAO RAN again (I love her) and freaking heck, Mikihisa is so cool? I guess jury has to be out with him a liiiittle bit because I've seen people commenting that he sucks. But. I have a major soft-spot for shounen dads (Goku, Echizen Nanjiroh, Van Hohenheim, Kurosaki Isshin...) and I reckon Mikihisa ticks cool points.

And freaking Ren! Why is everyone so cool??

Once again, the timeline is WHACK because there's really no way it can be the year 2000 at the time of the Shaman Fight unless I'm missing something huuuge... Yoh and Anna really should've been 8 when they met, not 10?

And I'm finally meeting Matamune!

But he was in the last Shaman Fight dhdhd i guess Hao couldn't have participated since he was a Patch that time but what happened at the fight 1000 years ago?

Oh man, I can see why people were so obsessed with this arc... there is just so much emotion here from all sides: Matamune (having to defeat Hao!!), Yoh and Anna, Kino — everything.

You can see why Yoh and Anna are the dream team, wow.

Also, I looked up a timeline and I think I can make my peace with it being the year 2000 in canon... but the anime did not explain it AT ALL, which is pretty poor.

I really should be asleep right now. But I can't seem to get comfortable and when I do, my brain just won't shut up. So here I am, writing to you. I've been thinking about you a lot lately. I don't know why. I think I've been missing you a bit. Is it strange to miss you? I don't know. I'm sorry if it is.

I really hope your blood tests came back okay and everything is all well with your health. Do you know when you'll have surgery yet? I was thinking about that the other day and hoping I hadn't missed it, so I could wish you good luck for it. I'm really glad to hear that you've found a job you can do that will turn into a career too and that you can get the training for it. Has that happened yet? Or are you still waiting?

I knew you were thinking of leaving the band, and that's okay. If it's ran it's course for you, then I'm sure your bandmates will be understanding, especially if they're your friends. I really hope the last two shows went well and that you enjoyed playing them at least and I hope the last show you do next month is good too. Will it be near your birthday? Because I know that's coming up really soon too. It's the week after I get back from another comic con, I go away on 17th November and come home on the 19th, so I'm just gone for the weekend. This time it's in Wales, I've only been there once when I was a kid.

Aw no poor Chonky :( I really really hope she's okay now. It sucks when our pets get sick, because they don't have a voice to tell you exactly what's wrong, so it can be pretty worrying. It's a good job that owners can usually tell though when something's wrong and what it could be, because they know their pet well. But it sounds like you did the right thing for her and I hope she's feeling much better now. I'm sure she loved having you look after her and care for her and make sure she was all okay.

Don't worry about streaming and stuff, you can come back to it whenever you feel like it, whenever you have the time. I look forward to the next time you do, I've missed chilling in your chat and just.. hanging out. I liked it before. I actually was playing some of the Cyberpunk DLC myself the other week, it was quite fun haha. But I definitely think I need to start upgrading my PC soon. Definitely a new fan and CPU and maybe a secondary SSD. I would upgrade my GPU but those are so expensive and my 1080 still serves me well at the moment.

I'm sorry it's been a little bit since I last wrote, I've just been busy with work mostly. I haven't had much going on or much exciting happening. Apart from going over to Belfast to surprise my best friend, that was quite cool. We went to another convention, I just booked a flight and a hotel and turned up. She had no clue I was coming and was really surprised when I got there haha. I literally just went over for like.. 24 hours. I'd felt bad cause I had to cancel a trip to go see her at the end of this month just due to work and not being able to get the holidays and stuff. So I was pretty upset and just wanted to do something kinda.. fun and spontaneous? Idk

Ian Somerhalder walked by me too and didn't even notice it, it wasn't until my best friend pointed him out and I was like "oh shit" hahaha. But I was more excited about Peter Facinelli and Jackson Rathbone from Twilight, I used to love that when I was like.. 14. I would have met Ian and Paul too, but it was far too expensive for me. Maybe some day I will. I recently started watching The Vampire Diaries again, since it's spooky season and all and I haven't watched it for years. So I've went right back to the start, I'm at the end of season 1 right now where Isobel is in it (I hate Isobel. And I fucking hate John Gilbert too)

It was also my dad's birthday on 8th October. That was a pretty hard day. I was quite sad and upset all day, but I watched a lot of my dad's favourite programs and stuff and tried to distract myself. Red Dwarf, Monty Python, The Mighty Boosh (which me and my dad actually started watching together) and some Billy Connolly. I also listened to some of his favourite music too. And I got a clootie dumpling from a local bakery (it's like a Christmas pudding kind of but not as rich), coincidentally it was the same bakery me and my dad and grandma and grandpa would go to, it was just down the street from my grandma's house. My grandma used to make him one for his birthday every year when he was a kid, instead of a birthday cake because it was cheaper. And he loved it. It was one of his favourite things. He'd always ask me to bring him some down when I'd go down and visit him in Nottingham, because you can't really get it anywhere in England and to make a proper one yourself, it's a bit of a pain and really easy to mess up if you don't do certain things right lol. When he was in the nursing home, I remember one day the chef had came to talk to him and asked him about food he liked and stuff. He was telling me that they'd asked him what kind of birthday cake he wanted and my dad immediately asked if he could have a dumpling. The chef agreed and said they absolutely could do that and I remember my dad being so so happy. His face was just.. completely lit up, big wide smiles, all excited. I think that's what made me extra sad, because he had been so excited for his birthday and his dumpling. He really liked the simple things in life, honestly.

So even though he wasn't here, he got his dumpling. I went out early on the Saturday morning and picked it up, had a chat with the guy who owns the bakery (who actually weirdly recognised me and asked me who my family were, so I told him and he immediately remembered me from when I was a kid, telling me about how he remembered I'd come in with my grandma to get the rolls and the papers, how I'd come in with my dad for a yum yum or a strawberry tart lol. I unfortunately had to break the news of my dad's passing to him, he didn't know. And he was quite sympathetic. He was a nice guy, just as friendly as I remembered when I was a kid. I'll attach a picture of the dumpling to this so you can see. I stuck a candle in it and everything for him. Sang him happy birthday and cried while doing so. But I knew he'd be nearby. I knew he'd be standing right behind me hugging me while I did. God just writing this is making me tear up a little bit.

I've started some grief counselling too. I think they are really helping me. I'm getting it through the hospice who helped with dad's end of life care, even though the were only involved for.. well a few days.. they've given me more support that some family have (my mother included. I'm still at odds with her. She's done more horrible and nasty shit since we last spoke and.. honestly I'm just seeing her for her true colours now, realising that I've been gaslit, emotionally neglected and manipulated by her for a very long time). My boss has been more than happy to allow me to attend these sessions, because they know in the long run it's going to help me and isn't going to affect my performance at work or anything. I'm actually doing really well at work at the moment, even considering that it is incredibly stressful and emotionally/mentally taxing at times, but I've had nothing but good reports in my weekly catch ups with my manager so far. So I think it's safe to say they can see that I am more than capable of doing the job. I just wanna try get through my probation and then move to a different department. Something that doesn't involve talking to customers lol.

Gran also got out of hospital, which is a good thing. She's back home and still resting and stuff, trying to get her strength back. She was in there for like.. just over a month. Unfortunately we don't think shes gonna be able to get any more chemo though, which sucks. But we're hoping her oncologist will still be able to do surgery for her, we just have to keep trying to get her strength up and make sure she's eating well and we're getting her walking and stuff. Even if it's just to the kitchen and back or around the garden. Small steps. It hopefully will make a big difference. I've been making sure to go see her at least once a week, even just for a couple hours at the very least.

I don't have much else going on right now. It's just work and looking forward to next month when I go to Wales. I don't think I have anything incredibly exciting planned for Halloween, which sucks, but I'll be working this year unfortunately. Maybe I can just relax and watch some spooky movies after work, eat some terrible sweets and enjoy myself a little. Oh and I'm on some new medication too actually, I'm not sure if it's working yet, I don't feel anything different. This is for a physical thing, not a mental thing. But it's nothing too serious, just something I need to like.. manage symptoms of.

I really hope you're doing well, E. I hope everything's going good and that your health is good and Chonky is good and work is starting and surgery is getting scheduled and all the good things. I know it must be getting warmer there too, because it's definitely getting fucking colder here haha. I've been absolutely frozen in the mornings for a couple days now, until I turn the heat on again and warm up. I think it's gonna be a reaaaaally cold winter this year which is unfortunate.

I really hope to hear from you soon. And I hope I've got more exciting things to tell you next time.

1st Art of 2023, 100 First Artworks and a Look Back (Post)

Because of the character limit on Instagram (there's the short version, so I recommend reading that first), I'm going to use Tumblr for this one. I'll start from questions what I've been doing and why it took so long. Hope this adds some extra information.

I've been making this since January 1st, with the sole intention to be the first upload of 2023. First, but also one of the best, really best, I wanted this artwork to be the grand opening to this year and something that I'd be absolutely, completely pleased with and proud of, but I was downright overwhelmed by the scale, as I have never made an illustration of this magnitude. In my infinite assurance and naivety, I thought this would take me 1-2 months, maybe 3 tops, 4 for polishing everything and that's final, but it wasn't final, it was a great mistake to say the least and one of the most painful art experiences I've been through. It was eyeopening and made me question my decisions whether should I keep making illustrations. However, I still approached this piece with a distance, like it's just a digital drawing only bigger than the usual, let's have fun and see what I can do, it's gonna be interesting. But this light attitude sort of petered out along the way, and with every passing day, week and month, it became an inconvenience. Stress and anxiety really did delay this piece.

I didn't want to rush this thing, this piece was supposed to be the polar opposite of the previous artwork, whereas Mona fight was pressured to come out at the end of 2022, had majority of the work put together in one day haphazardly, lacked many features, and turned out rather disappointing to me, this one should have all the time in the world, a lot of care put into it, and every line, little detail or pixel must be thought through. It was time-consuming to the ungodly extreme, I trapped myself, but it was a conscious decision. It's not like I was slaving over this day and night every day every month, absolutely not, I didn't want to be a drudgery. Well, it might have been a drudgery for the people waiting for my next upload, but I don't have that much of a following in the first place. But I like my gallery, and I'm still excited about new ideas.

About the piece, it's pretty self-explanatory, but also personal to me and quite symbolic. It shows my creations getting revenge on me (maybe not, rather an art depiction of me, something close to the persona, but it's not me, it's an avatar, my representation, why am I delving into this so much). The reason was the poor quality of my last upload and that was their intervention. But as the time went on, It looked more like message concerning my long absence and inability to motivate and create, so it speaks volumes to me. Hope you like it too. I don't know what else to add, this follow-up is all over the place, I feel tired writing all of this (also the following posts), but it's finally done. Hope to get better in time, I have artwork ideas for the future, so until next time on my Instagram.

You might call this a retrospective, and I'm cutting this into parts, because there's too much material. This commentary took over two weeks to write, this post is the last bit. Since there are elements from all 100 uploads in this, I will show them to you, comment on them, and give you the comparison between the old and the new. Yes, all one hundred illustrations, from the characters to the landscapes. Some of you may find them curious, poor, really good, average, fine or extremely terrible. Either way, I hope this will be a quite interesting experience. Let's give it then in the following posts!

Ok so let's start this with the games I played this past couple of weeks First on the list is both 007 games, I rented both of them in my childhood and played a bunch of golden eye multiplayer, mostly by making it so the weapons are mines and picking a piece of the stage to be "our bases" and then having a little cold war until someone decided to try something and everything blows up lol Then I remembered back in the day there was a little japanese racing game I used to rent too, and that one definitely didnt release in the US so I went on a quest to figure it out and play it again before really starting to play all the US ones lol

The game is Choro Q it is a game to promote a series of tiny pull pullback car toys that... must have been pretty popular in japan(???) they had 2 games on the 64 both only released in japan and the one I used to rent was the first one, but I tried both... It is an interesting little game, you have to race and get top 3 to then "steal" or "trade" parts with the 3 losers, and you have a point limit to which parts you can equip your car with, most parts are for basic car stat, like handling, acceleration etc, but there is a couple of special "decoration" parts that give you little powers with a certain amount of ammo, it is definitely not an amazing game but I had fun with it as a kid even not understanding anything that was written lol;;;

Next, I played 1080 Snowboarding, a very popular game on the N64 and one that we had on the rental place but I never felt like getting... I wonder if I would have liked it as a kid lol Because I didn't like it much... I played a race, got confused about the controls, went to practice, was still confused about why I kept just falling, looked up on google how to play properly, figured it out, and... it still wasn't very fun for me ? so I kind of gave up, sorry to all the people who love this game :(

Next, I was reminded of another game that is not on the list and would be here in alphabetic order, so I decided to play, (I will probably do that with other games too like the animal crossing on the 64 and dinosaur planet) This is 40 Winks, this game was supposed to release on both PS1 and N64 but they didn't manage the 64 version at the time, decades later Piko Interactive made a kickstarter to actually release an N64 version and they managed to get it funded, and finished it 100%! I played it and got decently far, I was actually thinking of finishing it but then the stages started getting too mazey for me... so I gave up, it is a janky game, because it is old, but it is very interesting and fun for anyone who likes 3D platformers (me)

Things I would have differently

I think I could have made the glyph table more interesting and quicker so that they aren't shown for so long. If I had more time I would have liked to include flickering glyphs to attract attention.

I could have tightened up the transitions with the MP4 so it is more connected to each other.

I also would have liked to figure out how to export properly so I could have the MP4 fit the whole screen. I did export it as 1080 x 1080 but couldn't figure out why it wasn't filling the screen.

you look up at the unfamiliar voice, taking in the handsome young man that takes the seat across you. you've been sitting alone at the exclusive restaurant for a few minutes now, waiting for the soon-to-be viscount who asked you out for tea. you suppose you should've known he would stand you up.

on paper, you are quite the catch - the eldest daughter of an earl, educated in the finest institutions, known for being able to hold a conversation with anyone. but reality doesn't work according to bullet points listed on paper. you've been largely ignored by bachelors in the society so far, and you know why - your figure isn't ideal, the freckles on your face are too pronounced, and most of all, you don't know how to act coy.

you should've known you'd get stood up today, even your well-meaning friends asked you if you "were sure" the future lord meant to ask you out. they had asked kindly, but you knew what they were getting at. so now you sit here as patrons of this restaurant watch you drink your tea alone, no doubt waiting for you to break down so they can gossip about this later. what was she thinking, you can hear them say, that a man would want her outside of a marriage of convenience?

"lady sol?", the man in front of you whispers, his eyes concerned. he's very handsome, you can't help but think.

"pardon me, sir", your voice is small, "there's been a mistake. i wasn't expecting you".

"i know", he gives you a patient smile, "just work with me here, my lady. the vultures are watching".

oh. handsome and kind. what an attractive combination.

on one hand, you want to resist his offer - you don't want to subject this nice stranger to an hour of conversation with you. on the other hand though, the notion of spending some time with a stranger who you'll probably never see again is irresistible, and you have nothing to lose.

"alright, then", you smile, hoping he can't sense your nerves.

"the name's lee, my lady", his answering smile is wide. comforting. welcoming.

oh that makes sense. the lees are a powerful noble family scattered across the country, the most notable branch being the one with the duke and his brother - an elusive businessman who owns many exclusive restaurants around the country, including the one you're in right now. this is probably a cousin of the duke's, arriving for tea at the family-owned place. you wonder if he'll stay long enough for you to show him around the city.

"so, lady sol", he begins, nodding at a waiter, "would you be interested in some dishes not yet available for order? i know the owner".

"it wasn't funny when it happened", you chuckle even as you say it, giddily watching mr. lee's tipped-back head as he lets out peels of laughter at your story of how you accidentally pushed your father into a lake. you're sure other people in the restaurant are watching, but you've long stopped caring.

you like this, you realize. this is better than being asked out by some lord to be courted. this is what you want, to sit and share laughter with someone who doesn't expect you to be coy. who enjoys you, just as you are.

the clock chimes and you check out the time - where did three hours ago? time does fly when you're having fun, it seems. you're supposed to be at home, you think with defeat. it's time to go.

"i should be leaving", even your voice sounds despondent, "my family is expecting me".

"ofcourse", you hope you're not imagining the disappointed look on his face. you hope he'll say he wants to see you again.

"i'll walk you out, my lady", he gets up and walks behind you, helping you out of your chair. you've been at the receiving end of this gesture all your life, but it's never made your heart beat like it does now.

you wait as he asks for your coat to be retrieved, murmuring a "put the bill on my tab" to the manager. he holds your coat out for you, and you wonder if the staff can see the pink on your cheeks.

the two of you step out of the restaurant, thanking the doorman. he must come here a lot, you think, he knows the names of the staff. would he see you the next time he's in the city? would it be too inappropriate for you to ask him if he'd like to?

"thank you for today, mr. lee", you say as you wait for your chauffeur to bring the car around, "i am forever indebted to you".

"no need for the thanks, lady sol", his eyes are honest, "this will be the highlight of my week", he pauses, hesitating, "will you consider having dinner with me tomorrow, here?"

"yes, i would love to", you answer too quickly, your wide smile matching his.

"we can't have it here, though", you turn to him suddenly as your car approaches, "this place is closed on thursdays".

"oh, i think they can make an exception for the owner", his eyes are observant, judging your reaction.

oh. oh. OH.

he's lee chan. the mysterious brother of the duke. one of the most eligible bachelors in the country. ofcourse you didn't recognize him, he's famously private. you don't think you've ever heard of him even attending a ball.

"i - forgive me", you stutter, "i didn't recognize you, i -"

Background: In Dia'ae 1080, Danielle's mother committed suicide which made Danielle treasure yons memories made with others, so much so that yon created a goal to document everything down to the best of yons ability. In Alstas 1080, yon was forced to attend lessons despite not wanting to due to yons dislike towards academics and also because yon was still grieving over yons mother's death. Refusing to sit through another lesson, Danielle decided to escape only to encounter Aileen. When the latter questioned yon about the escape, Danielle explained that yon was in no mood to continue studying after yons mother passed recently

By Vierum 1175, the number of elves disappearing had climbed to almost ten thousand. Worried for Danielle, Aileen went to the Dardío residence to check on yon but ended up captured by unknown researchers. Danielle had watched the kidnappers take Aileen away and decided to chase after them, only to get knocked out when they noticed yons presence. When yon woke up, yon was staring at a bright orange flame blazing out from yons body and promptly screamed. The researchers cheered and carved the number 14 on the back of Danielle's left hand, with said dullahan noticing Aileen's unconscious body out of the corner of yons eye. While restraining yons body with magic-draining chains, yon asked the researchers if Aileen was dead but only received shrugs in response

Danielle was then locked in a room with Giselle, Hugh and Hywel, the Tenth Dullahan then asking yon what year it was. After an undetermined length of time had passed, Aileen broke into their room and freed Hywel and Danielle from their chains. Yon then suddenly descended into yons shadow, with Hywel remarking that it explained why they started to feel more comfortable being in the shadows. Yon struggled to regain yons form and was relieved when yon managed to remain in yons humanoid form

Apart from Gerald, Cain, and Fiona, the remaining 13 survivors killed the rest of the researchers and ended the experiment. Despite their distaste towards the entire act, they kept the notes and studied it. Aileen was able to identify the flaws in the research notes, which cultivated in the alarmingly high mortality rate. Using Ilias' existing research on arcane magic, Hywel, Aileen and Eva were able to create a ritual that tapped onto Ratein's ley lines which made it safer to turn someone into a dullahan. Afterwards, they destroyed the original notes such that no one could ever attempt the cruel methods used to create dullahans again

Brianna then pointed out that the very notion of turning someone into a dullahan was unthinkable, with Danielle agreeing after recalling Aileen's desire for ethical research. Together, they sought to get an unanimous consensus that under no circumstances should the 16 turn others into dullahans unless the individual in question was prepared to bear the curse of being one. Danielle was relieved that an unanimous agreement was reached, though yon suspected that some of them had ulterior motives in agreeing. Aileen and Danielle returned home only to be met with wary from their families, with Danielle's father threatening to kill yon if yon ever returned. Aileen then invited Danielle to travel across Ratein while xe researched more about the world, with yon happily agreeing

They left Balwirk in 1194, and travelled across Steruleang. During their travels, Aileen had gotten into potion craft, a field that had little research. However, due to Aileen's personality, xe threw xemself into research which made xem extremely busy. During this period, xe started to become more self-centered and started to treat Danielle as a servant. This strained their friendship, however Danielle refused to give up on Aileen as yon believed that yon would get yons friend back once Aileen had a breakthrough, even going as far as to organise Aileen's notes and document them in yons personal journal in case xe lost them. Reminded of yons goal as a child, yon decided to document a guide on Ratein in hopes of educating others especially for those who couldn't afford to travel

Thrilled that Aileen had a change of heart, yon decided to share that yon was documenting their experiences and even the various species found in Ratein. Xe decided that it was xyr turn to support yon and helped yon organise Danielle's notes on Ratein such that it was easy to follow, declaring that xe was proud of xyr friend. Sometime in 1543, Danielle asked Aileen if xe ever wondered what the rest of the survivors were doing or if the Tasachs were safe. As if on cue, a letter from Lyuharrno was delivered to Danielle. Surprised, yon soon learnt that it was from Brianna, who had heard rumours of the Fourteenth Dullahan compiling a traveller's guide, asking if yon could add a chapter on frostulls in the guide

Danielle decided to travel to Lyuharrno in order to gather more information about frostulls from the Ninth Dullahan. Yon then travelled to the address Brianna had delivered from, only to discover Brianna stopping Alena yet again from committing suicide. Reminded of yons mother's suicide, Danielle helped the Ninth Dullahan prevent Alena from committing suicide only for Brianna to admit that Alena would probably attempt it again. Brianna then shared her notes on frostulls with Danielle, with the latter promising to include this in the guide

After getting Alena to agree to exchanging letters, Brianna decided to return to Balwirk in 1547, with Danielle accompanying her after learning from her that according to Berine, Aileen had returned to Balwirk. On their way back to Balwirk, they passed by someone selling flying animals which inspired Brianna to design neck cages for dullahans to attach their heads to their body while allowing the fire space to burn. Upon reaching Balwirk, Brianna left to design the neck cages while Danielle reunited with Aileen, who was currently researching on teleportation so that beings can visit each other without relying on letters for communication

In 1561 while getting Hugh's parents to open multiple portals simultaneously, the physical and mental strain on them took their toll and in turn, put their lives in danger. While Danielle had managed to save them, both parents were severely weakened and eventually died a few months later. Nonetheless, Hugh was grateful for the Fourteenth Dullahan's intervention

Danielle then faced numerous assassins coming from yon and the Fifteenth Dullahan, both soon learning that the Unois Empire wanted to put a stop to Aileen's current research. In 1668, xe had encountered a human Drágyliskan selling trinkets and offered xyr a pair of platinum bracelets. She also offered xyr the opportunity to engrave a message on one of the plates with xyr special someone, with Aileen rushing to get Danielle so that they could get friendship bracelets. Yon decided to write a promise to yons friend on xyr bracelet so that xe could always remember yon. Danielle noticed yons friend's change in demeanour after the Drágyliskan talked to xem, but Aileen insisted that it was nothing and xe merely felt bad that Drágyliskan was an orphan. Danielle easily accepted the explanation, not pursuing the topic anymore

When the Balwirkian War started in Trieme 1701, Danielle planned to volunteer to provide medical attention for those on the battlefield but Aileen voiced that xyr was against this. When the Fourteenth Dullahan questioned yons friend about it, the Fifteenth Dullahan explained that as one of the few elves with healing magic, yon should remain safe. Unable to fight against Aileen's logical explanation, Danielle decided to heed xyr advice and stay behind to heal the fighters from a safehouse. As the war started to tilt towards Balwirk's favour, Danielle sought Hugh out in Vierum 1706 and begged him to use his teleportation magic to benefit the Balwirkians, the latter reluctantly agreeing

On 18 Rexim 1706, the Fourteenth Dullahan received an influx of fighters requiring immediate treatment as well as dead bodies, with Eva belonging to the former. Danielle did yons best to heal Eva, but the injuries were far too intensive for her to recover from. Hugh then delivered Aileen and Brianna's bodies to yon, the latter informing him to find Emmet as Eva didn't have long to live. Eva managed to use her telepathy to inform both the Seventh and Fourteenth Dullahans that the Eighth Dullahan was working with the Unois Empire. Minutes later, Emmet was dropped into the room Eva and Danielle were in, with yon explaining that due to the wounds Eva suffered, yon was unable to heal her and she didn't have long to live. Leaving Emmet alone with his wife, yon left the room only to be approached by Hugh, who promptly informed yon that he had repaid his debt and will no longer be involved in the Balwirkian War. Danielle agreed, admitting that the war would likely be over in less than a week due to the losses incurred on both sides

True to yons words, the war ended on that very day which left yon to bury the dead bodies, including Aileen's. Devastated but remembering Aileen's love for adventuring, Danielle resolved to live a life that Aileen would be proud of. Yon then oversaw the construction of Aocite Cemetery on the battlefield with Hugh and ensured that all bodies were given labelled tombstones. Hugh then decided to take up the role as the cemetery's sole groundskeeper as a way to atone for the lives lost, though Danielle reassured him that he was valid for staying out of the war

Danielle then continued to add information into the guide yon had been compiling for years, all while contemplating whether or not to give Aileen's research on teleportation to Ilias. Yon decided to hold onto the notes for the time being, and continued to travel across Ratein, occasionally returning to Balwirk to check on Hugh. In Unaeim 1855, yon had overheard Hadir discussing about meteorite necklaces with her colleagues and approached them, sharing that yon recalled seeing two of said necklaces in Balwirk sometime in mid-18th Century. Yon soon learnt that they were from the Kaldam National Museum, and received a formal request to track down the locations of the necklaces

The Fourteenth Dullahan headed back to Balwirk to investigate, but due to the increasing tensions in the country against the Unois Empire, it became increasingly dangerous to investigate even with yons shadow manipulation abilities. Yon then sent a letter back to the museum, informing them that yon would be able to provide a concrete answer once the empire collapses as Danielle believed that the time would be soon. Yon managed to learn that the necklaces were heirlooms of the Duxburys, who had worked together with Finbar prior to the Balwirkian War from nis brother. In Durna 1857, Hadir sought the Fourteenth Dullahan out and yon shared with her what yon had learnt. Danielle was taken aback when Hadir asked about specific details on the Astral Realm, a plane which only the Réiteodes had access to. Worried that the museum curator had questionable motives, Danielle refused to give out the Réiteodes' hiding location, accidentally telling her to go find the Duxburys instead. Yon was left worried by Hadir's sudden excitement as she left to find the Duxbury manor, but hoped that she could be trusted

Yon decided to help out during the Relnivon Rebellion by healing the rebels regardless of nationality as long as they opposed the empire, with Giselle's body sent to yon on 31 Dia'ae 1864. Nauseous at the sight of her body in pieces, yon could only direct her body to Hugh for burial as yon focused yons effort in healing the rebels to the best of yons ability. On 4 Primna 1865, the Unois Empire fell and Danielle left Balwirk, resuming travel while maintaining contact with Hadir. In 1900, Hadir sought yon out once more, her appearance the same as when yon first met her in Kaldam 45 years ago. Hadir explained that she had completed her research on chronovens and wanted Danielle to include them in yons guide, the latter deducing that Hadir had became a chronoven herself. Sensing that Hadir was a kindred spirit, yon asked if yon should give crucial research to a research partner or a trusted archivist, with Danielle wondering why did yon even suggested the latter as an option when yon didn't know of any archivist yonself

Hadir then answered that she would give it to the research partner, with yon understanding that it was the most reasonable option. Not to mention, Ilias had a good reputation amongst researcher, yet Danielle worried that the lich may embark on a dark path that Aileen had nearly walked upon centuries ago. Furthermore, yon was afraid that should teleportation become commonplace, it would be abused by those who had ill intent. Before leaving, Hadir said that she would be looking forward to buying the guide in a bookstore near her, with Danielle asking where that would be. Yons suspicion was confirmed when Hadir gave yon a practiced smile, but by then, the Fourteenth Dullahan decided that it didn't matter that Hadir was a chronoven if it meant having a friend

After completing the guide, Danielle published it in Secuna 2022 and within a week, the guides were constantly sold out from bookstores, requiring frequent reprints. With yons guide published, the Fourteenth Dullahan continued to wander across Ratein as yon wanted to keep the guide updated while continuing Aileen's wanderlust, all while wondering if yons mother would be proud of yon for achieving yons goal...

A quick update; some more thoughts on Shaman King 2021 — and this time, it's Episodes 33-37!

Episode 33

The last instalment of Mt Osore La Voile and wow... I was just on the verge of weeping the whole time. It's so sweet to see the reciprocated feelings between Yoh and Anna (and the fact that Yoh was the one who doki'd first? 2001 made their relationship feel a bit one-sided, somehow) and this flashback makes it pretty clear that no, Yoh loves his bride-to-be a looot.

The revelation that Anna can read minds is one that I have to come to grips with because it raises questions about everything that's gone before; I think the lack of foreshadowing makes it a bit iffy but whatever, it just really illustrates how much of a powerhouse Anna is.

But damn — the origins of the 1080 beads and Yoh's necklace? My heart...

I love Matamune. I am so sad about what passed between him and Hao and how he holds it in his heart even now... I'm trying not to scroll through the Shaman King tag too much in order to avoid spoilers but sheesh, it's hard when I wanna reblog fanart! But yeah, I definitely love Matamune... sobs...

The ending poem really got to me. I loved the way it was sang.

Episode 34

Episode 35

KOORI NO SEKAIIIII. Hyoutei intensifies!

Love the way Horohoro (the coolest) pulled off that combination attack — and I think it says a lot about his power that he flawlessly worked with strangers' spirits. Once again, he is just a top-notch kid.

Episode 36

I saw a post that reflected that all of the past few episodes have taken place on the SAME DAY and wow, what a wild day it's turning out to be!!

I literally cannot believe my job is keeping me from watching more Shaman King right now SOBS

But bloody hell!!! Muntzer possessing Seyrarm the whole time? MY JAW DROPPED

Team Bleeding / Dying / Throwing Up showing up to save the day at the end OH MY HEART

Episode 37

Hao just. Hopped away. Just like that. We didn't even see him leave. He was just gone.

Wow... so everyone is gonna die and be reborn again to boost their mana, huh? Gandhara are pretty kind to be freaking healing everyone every 5 seconds (though! It wasn't explicitly stated that Yoh was healed by them so huh, maybe our boy did manage to heal himself after all).

Man, Joco losing his eyesight... his upgrade was seriously cool.

The Golem arc wrapped up a bit toooo quickly, but it was still good stuff! There was a lot of drama and it was nice (?) to see Lyserg work with the team... but I have to say that the X-Laws are freaking lenient to be letting him run off all the time, lol

And it's nice to have clarification that Anna can't read minds anymore!

Phew... Manta. It's hard to take the depth of his and Yoh's friendship that seriously because he spends so much time getting overwhelmed by the situation, complaining ("Why didn't Yoh tell ME about his past?") and just plain running away. The friendship has probably been one of the victims of the intense pace but... I know Manta is Yoh's first human friend, but the poignancy just doesn't feel like it's there, which is really sad.

And even Yoh is a bit of a funny one. I love him a lot but it feels like his values flip-flop depending on who he's talking to; his ideals seem to change according to what works for the narrative in that very moment. And then you have Anna (and occasionally Ryu or Ren or someone) giving a speech about why Yoh is so powerful, and sometimes it lands, but other times... boyo's values feel they lack conviction (probably because, "Everything will work out in the end."). And while that is SUPER understandable for a 14-year-old, it is a bit distracting for a protagonist...

So while I loved the Yoh of the flashback, I wish that I could really love the Yoh of the actual Shaman Fight...

I still have 10+ episodes left, so I hope I get hit with a wave of emotion!

Oh, and Lyserg has very Lelouch-like features. The chin!

Official Art is free use as long as it is not used for monetary gain, and I will never ask anyone for money for my pictures, and I was told I am the only person that actually credits the official animators and artists. Each image of the anime is directly ripped RAW Japanese versions, that are ages old by the way. There are probably better ones out there now. Because had these when the English dub hadn’t came out on my Windows XP. About that, they should be in 1080, but since they were used into WMM I had to recolor all of them and increase their quality myself. I don’t like taking screenshots from YouTube like most people do. Not only do I increase the quality but there are assets I enjoy changing them from the anime. Most people can’t even tell it’s changed because it’s “that good” they say. The only thing I ask if you are sharing my edits, just credit me for taking to time to increasing the resolution, ripping, and alters. I do a lot of screen-stitching also. There’s a lot of them and some I haven’t even posted. But here are some of my favorites -

Besides that, I also like posting basic screen caps with my watermark on it. Because I did it. I don’t have to explain myself on that. Because it originated from my RAW rips, I have every right to credit the official animators and myself for doing the work. I see a lot of people post their watermarks on official images, even when it comes to illegal manga scan sites. I don’t see anyone complaining about that.

If you see my watermark on it, like Max’s it’s because I have his permission to slightly alter it as a Profile Picture! - and I usually have their credit or their watermark on it also whether in the image or in the description! Since Max intentionally made art for me also, it’s kinda a given.

I always see @redrobelover talk about bullying and certain fandoms. I can tell you what I see.

Here is what I see most of -

People “bully” others if someone is asking where a certain fan art came from - With absolutely no intent to steal it. They know they didn’t make the art.

But as soon as someone constantly credits each individual animator, they don’t care and the official animators are swept under the rug. These people are paid, just like fan artists. But they are way less known. I hardly ever see anyone talking about the animators of InuYasha. When they do, it makes me very happy and excited.

They also think it’s okay for someone to share Fan Art from a person that intentionally left because of drama like this. Basically, “this person left, probably because their art was being stolen and sold on Chinese merchandise. But I’m going to share it anyway.” And to them, that’s completely fine.

Can you see where all this hypocrisy is?

I’ll tell you all a story. Our friend was from Tumblr since 2009. I won’t give out her identity, but a lot of these people know. And she recognizes a lot of this toxicity and drama. She used to write a lot of fan-fictions and became really well-known. She was a very popular role-player.

She knows and can name people, can predict how people are -exactly- on here.

Well she actually left because people wouldn’t stop fighting, making fake accounts to go and attack everyone. This stuff is stupid. I just don’t get what’s so fun in that.

A story about me.

I had a friend on here I knew for years. She used to take a lot of my edits and I wouldn’t say anything because she was my friend. Even if it bugged me, I felt like she wasn’t doing any harm in that. All I asked of her was to at least tell me or credit me. Which I don’t think she ever did. It was always odd to find out from another person that she was doing this, or stumbling upon it myself.

The sad part was, I saw her as a really close friend of mine. And when my life began ta change dramatically I went and told her everything. I wrote a whole novel for her. In hopes that she was going to be supportive of my life changes and choices I was making during my transition and the person I am meant ta be with. Like most of my friend are supportive of it and asked me a whole buncha questions about it. They were happy.

Unfortunately I never got the ecstatic answer from her. Instead she ghosted on me and I think blocked me. I never understood why. But I was told it was probably because we have the same mind set in a lot of things. So I will never hate on her ever. I don’t have a reason to. I just wished things like that was better.

We are all a family. We all like InuYasha. InuYasha is supposta be a safe space.

My name is InuYasha, yes legally. Yes I'm the only person on record with that name in the US atleast. I am a transman. I've been on hormones for two years now! 💪💉 Damn those "emojis" look hella weird... August 2016 was when I started my hormones. Anyway. I'm in a relationship with @officialkagome , her name is Kagome she's a transwoman! I really came around on YouTube 2007 as TheHanyouInuYasha, now displayed as "OfficialInuYasha". I also run the FaceBook group "Official InuYasha Group" which is increasingly popular and extremely active with almost 5,000 members now! My sister really helped push me to go for the doctor's appointment for my transgender diagnosis in order for me to start my hormones. The series InuYasha really helped me get in touch with my true self, as InuYasha I see myself as one with. Being an outcast and having to make my own world was very, very difficult. I went through a lot of depression and anger during certain times and was told I could not be "InuYasha" because they told me I was a "girl". Just like in the series how the ignorant people also pestered InuYasha being half demon, that it was "unnatural" to them. I continued on, struggling as InuYasha. I started cosplaying InuYasha around 2005. I remember going to my neighbors house to watch it pre-recorded in Japanese dub! I was only about 10 years old. My grandma helped me make my first outfit. We made the top from a Wizard robe and Dancer pants patterns. I have gone through four different outfits, now 7 wigs, and 6 different Tetsusaigas. My current wig was made by Alichii from deviantART since 2004 based on Katie Bairs method, made from 3 different wigs. A historical wig. My current outfit is the Officially licensed VIZ Media outfit! It's my treasure. Kagome in the series really helped me alot to learn and to love. I have had many issues with haters, stalkers and copycats. Keh! But that won't stop me!

We are BOTH trans! He gets me, And he waited for me just as long as I waited for him. There is so much coincidence in our meeting. It's haunting. He looks at me, a pile of my trauma; and he loves my broken pieces back together. InuYasha has ALWAYS come for me, and I may have lost faith; but I am glad I didn't. InuYasha found me in the darkness; and now together we move towards tomorrow. We have always been the same since the very beginning. We ARE InuKag~
