“Don’t ever kiss me again !” you screamed, voice echoing through the Uchiha residence. You residence since-

“I can kiss you anytime I want ! You’re my wife !” his voice boomed in a way little have ever heard. -since you’ve married him, since they had forced you to marry him

Things weren’t supposed to turn this way, not now that he started having feelings for you. But it was precisely for this reason that things turned this way. Everything was so much easier 6 months ago when you two met for the first time, well the day you got married. The day both your families agreed on this arranged marriage, supposed to bring the Uchiha lineage with the second secret mightiest lineage of Konohagakure.

At this time, there weren’t any problems about keeping the act outside your shared home. Everyone was completely oblivious, no one had a single doubt that the marriage had been arranged and that it was not for love and that neither you nor Itachi had particularly wanted to end up bound with the other.

No one suspected the reality of the situation any more, the meals eaten alone or in dead silence, the evenings spent reading a book, sometimes in two different rooms, even in the early nights when cushions separated your side of the bed. Far from the image of the perfect couple the whole village envied.

And that's only because in public you hold the act together like the best of actors, holding hands, fingers intertwined, or else by the arm, your head resting against his shoulder, him breathing in the sweet scent of your hair. Whispering sweet nothing into each other's ears, exchanging loving glances and discreet giggles.

That’s exactly what happened yesterday, during a gathering of the Uchiha family ( not all Uchihas knew about the arranged marriage ), the act was perfect, but maybe a little too perfect. Because as you got back to your residence - still in the act before the door was safely closed - his arm was supposed to lighten from around you and let you go do your own stuff like you’ve been used to, but to your surprise it tightened instead. When you looked at him you saw his face getting closer to yours.

You froze in place, he leaned closer and then you felt it. His lips oh so delicately pressed against yours. And then the instant of a second your hands came on his chest before pushing him with as much strength away from you as far as possible. He’s never kissed you on the lips before. Of course even when acting all lovey dovey in front of the others this was never something you had ever done, because being part of the Uchiha family required a certain public restraint. Even at your wedding he has only kissed your forehead.

Things leading to another you ended up both yelling at each other, your voices echoing in the hall. And upon hearing him calling your his wife you couldn't help but shout back “And I never wanted to be ! This !” you screamed gesturing at the walls and stuff around you “Is the fruit of an arranged marriage ! To which I did not even consent !” you added.

Your words made his jaw tighten, his hand shot to your arm which he gripped ( his aim isn’t ot hurt you just making sure you don’t leave while he speaks what is on his heart, this sounds fucked up though ) eyes boring in yours as he looked at your from above “Do not pretend you don’t like it ! Don't like to be mine”

“I don’t ! I wish they didn’t choose y-” your eyes held his gaze, not impressed at all by his outburst. You tried to shake your arm out of his grip but without success

Your words went straight to stabbing his heart prompting him to change his tone in consequence “Then act like you meant it by first stopping hanging on to me for dear life in the street every time someone you don't know comes near you. As if I’d ever protect you if something were to happen” this was pure venom you triggered.

“I hate you with every cell of my being !” you spat with anger, because you knew he was right, after all this time of living together you started to see him as a kind of protector.

“You wish you could” he gazed dangerously at you, the Sharingan in his eyes activating as his voice dropped back to a less loud tone, a testament of the upper hand he knew he had at the moment “But truth is you like it here in the Uchiha neighborhood, in my residence and in my bed every night. Don’t play coy, I know when you scoot closer to me during the night”

You blushed furiously with a mix of embarrassment and anger at his revelation “I’ve never done anything of the sort !” you tried to lie, but it didn't have any effect.

“You’ve done it every night lately. Did you think I would not notice ? Me ? Your own husband” he used another word refering to your marriage, his face getting closer to yours again, but way more slower now.

You didn’t budge, the conversation seemed to sink it, you knew he was right, you did need him sometimes. Not only his feelings were evolving, but yours too, and if he was reacting this way it was because things started to matter in a way it didn’t before. And you wouldn’t have outbursts like this if what he told you wasn't common knowledge for you too. Of course he would be the first to notice you started caring, even before you.

His lips pressed gently against your again, his grip of your arm lightening, leaving a coldness there you didn’t think it would. This time you didn’t try to push him away “I’ve let you do that every single night without saying a single word” he marked a pause as if he was looking for his words “We’re married and your lips are mine. From now on I won’t shy away from claiming them the way I should”

At the same time, he feels guilty. He should really let you go. But those feelings soon fade when he remembers how happy you were with him. If you said he had made you “the happiest” then Itachi’s going to do even more than that

-He happens to bump into you from time to time. Not enough to make you suspicious, but enough to keep himself on your mind. Every relationship you start to have with someone else turns out badly. うっとうしい (uttōshi) means Annoying /irritating. And which is used as the meaning of "making you feel annoyed". 「奴だ」 yakkoda, pronounced ｢やっだ 」 , is an informal term used as a way to refer to a 'person'. It can often be considered rude or insulting to refer to someone using this word. やっ - referring the person in an insulted or rude way and だ uses to conclude the sentence.

He was right in saying this. If I were in his shoes I would be super pissed too. We all know in Itachi's pursuit arc, Naruto teams up to find Itachi, an Akatsuki, the ones who are after him, and yet Naruto doesn't care about himself or his life and he's consciously putting himself in danger. And all that was for to find Sasuke. He chasing Sasuke like he is suffocating because Sasuke is his oxygen and can't breathe without him!! He is willing to risk his life and all for 'Sasuke'.

Sasuke was on his way to find his brother and he had trained and prepared very hard for it. So, at that moment when Naruto got in his way, Sasuke acted accordingly with it. This was not the time to play BGM by slow-motioning their intense gaze as they jump trees, like their reunion arc. The situation was slightly different from before, Sasuke's head was boiling under so much pressure. What he was about to face was not an easy task for him because it was his family.

Sasuke always treated Team Taka like some sub-ordinates whom he worked with. I'm not discrediting them but 'Taka' was not even allowed to cross the boundaries and even built a wall between them. It was Sasuke who said and did all of that. That was because It was his personal matter and he does not allow others to interfere in his family affairs. When Sasuke confronts his brother Itachi, he yelled at Naruto and Jiraiya not to interfere because it was his own revenge. That's why when he saw Naruto's clone, he rammed his Chidori at him without hesitation. Yes, it was a clone Naruto and Sasuke knew it too.

At this time Naruto doesn't understand Sasuke yet, but after that he understand the pain of losing someone and learns the truth about the massacre, thus he stops chasing Sasuke. He came out of the chasing stuff and tried to give more mature actions in his words and choices. The maturity of him was that he tries to understand Sasukes situation instead of chasing him back again. He tries to understand his pain and gives value to his actions. Naruto didn't let him go or try to cut him out of his heart. That was what surprised Sasuke to make that face in that bridge scene when Naruto said, "Because you're my friend". Konoha saw him as an enemy and his sensei and teammate tried to kill him and everyone who was with him wanted something from him and didn't even tried to understand him, but only the blue-eyed whiskered boy smiled at him as usual and said with a pure heart, 'You're still my best friend'. " I've already hurt you and made you cry, but why don't you still cut me out of your life? Why? why? Why are you doing this? Why are you putting yourself at risk? what do you want from me? - to all these Sasuse's questions, "you're my best friend" was Naruto's answer. It was more accurate in that situation because everyone hated him and cut ties with him, but Naruto was the only one who reached out to him again and comforted him and still considered him as his 'friend'. His words and his affection for him reflects that Naruto will always be with him, even in the after life. Naruto would always be by Sasuke's side no matter what he did or others labeled him as a terrorist. Because he knows him, he understands him, he trusts him, and after all, he knows who Sasuke is. He won't give up on Sasuke ever. To him Sasuke is more important than his own life. He is giving what he have in him to Sasuke without expecting anything from him. That's the selfless act of loving someone with full acceptance and without expecting anything in return. Naruto was there for him not only when things were easy but also when they are hard. When life threw everything at him, and nothing felt right, Naruto would still be there for him. Even when Sasuke feel as if no one is on his side, and the world seems against him, Naruto's arms would still be there to hold him. That was the unconditional love Naruto given to Sasuke. It was also what Sasuke wanted most at that moment. A person who TRULY LOVES him, BELIEVES in him, UNDERSTANDS HIM and NEVER LET HIM GO no matter how hard the situation is. And That's what he got from Naruto. He was letting him knowing that Sasuke was not alone. So, he listened to Naruto's words and didn't even break his promise with him. [ And don't forget 'A ninja should not be so quick to bow to another' but Naruto begged with the raikage to spare sasuke's life or not he will start a war against them. This was happened when he was wrapped like a mummy. ]

The reason Sasuke calls him 'annoying' was because Sasuke doesn't like Naruto following him in this arc. Naruto went overboard to chase him in this arc. So, As a viewer I agree with Sasuke.

But if we look back to those Sasuke chasing arc....

When Sai mentioned Naruto, Sasuke's respond was 'someone like that/ a guy like that', as if he forgot about him. But when he met his eyes with those blue eyes, after those long gazes right in the eye, he jumped up to Naruto and hugged him. Naruto is the only thing Sasuke gave in this scene, and completely ignored anyone else. This was the same guy just before this scenes, and now he was hugging that sweaty Naruto and whispering in his ear. If he was angry at Naruto, instead of wrapping his arm around Naruto's neck, he could have slashed him with his sword as he jumped off the layer. It was obvious that Sasuke was lying in here, it was all a lie because he knew that his eyes would always looks at Naruto without realizing it, and listened to him, and unconsciously let his guard down when he was with him.

When he met the clone Naruto he chidori it, but when he met the real Naruto he embraced him. Both situations are completely different from one another, so now you understand why he did that, right?

The fact is that Sasuke didn't call him as annoying to Naruto's face as he does with Sakura:

うざいよ (uzaiyo) - annoying. 'Uzai' it doesn't have a positive meaning and is easy to use, there have been some cases where problems often occur between the person who said it and the person who received it. The difference between using this and other Japanese words with similar meanings is that "uzai" tends to express multiple emotions at once, rather than a singular emotion. If you want to imply that someone is making you feel all kinds of disgusting and irritated, this word is more appropriate to use in this situation. うざい (uzai) stands for うざったい (uzattai) . うざったい - annoying in a way someone is being/doing too much. When everyone tried to attract/get his attention, he didn't hear them calling him or doesn't care about them. Look at all the fangirls, Sakura was also among them, trying very hard to get him noticed. It's so noisy in the background with all these fangirls. And in the classroom, Sakura was sitting next to Sasuke and looking at him, this makes the girls behind him feels jealous. Sasuke knows too what's happening in his surroundings but HE DOESN'T GIVE A DAMN.

But in a second Sasuke senses Naruto staring at him. And immediately responded, "what?". He doesn't notice them looking, but he noticed Naruto looking at him. It was always like this, whenever Naruto was in the picture Sasuke had his full attention on him. You all know what happened at the reunion and under the bridge, Sasuke gave his absolute attention to Naruto alone.

When others trying to get attention of Sasuke. He doesn't give a shit about them. But who got his attention?? Who catches his attention?? Yes. It's Naruto.

He was sitting down in the LakePier and suddenly saw Naruto looking at him and that totally caught his attention to the extent that he for some reason/without knowing why he followed his eyes on Naruto and payed attention to him. And thus Naruto becomes his happiness and weakness. Don't forget these all happening weeks after the massacre.

There was nothing special about Naruto looking at him. This was not a new thing for him because he has been the center of admiration of everyone in the village. But somehow Sasuke becomes curious about Naruto. Have you ever seen his playful side like in the panel above?? He was Pouting at him, peeking at him and genuinely smiling at him.

He was really glad that Naruto noticed him at that moment. 100% sure he like to be noticed by Naruto. He was glad that Naruto cared about him. He was glad that Naruto becomes his relief. It makes him smile, it makes him cry beside him, it makes him laugh out loud beside him. Do you think he doesn't like Naruto chasing him?? No, he likes it. He liked the fact that Naruto never give up on him, he never let him be alone, he was paying attention to him, he understands him, and he was chasing him with his heart full of trust on him. And Sasuke was extremely grateful for that as well. Only during Itachi's pursuit arc he doesn't likes it, but for most of time he was glad and likes it.

As soon as it started he realized it, but he preferred to tell himself that it was his mind playing tricks on him

He noticed that you were coming home early from your friends' outings, then you started going less and less until you didn't go at all

At first he was happy to be able to spend more time with you, but he started to worry about why you stopped going. He wondered if you had a fight with them

And your friends too started wondering, Kakashi even came to talk to Itachi thinking that he was the one who was keeping you away from them

Itachi on the other hand was suspicious because he felt the defensive aura that your friend came to talk to him with

Finally after a discussion that started with a lot of mistrust on both sides, they both realized that there was a problem with you

Itachi had insisted to take care of it alone though

Then the house he saw you more distant with him little by little moving away from his side in the sofa or in the bed

At the beginning he doesn't say anything, he is afraid to cause a problem if it's just an impression or if you are able to solve it alone but you think that he doesn't trust you to deal with it

However, as time goes by, you talk to him less and less, you are alone more often and he feels that you are slipping through his fingers and he hates that

He hates feeling helpless

The last straw would be when he realizes that you are eating and drinking less

He's noticed that you've lost weight and frankly it worries him

He will try to bring you food and remind you to drink water often, not leaving the room until you have finished your drink

He also subtly tries to make you talk, for example by talking about something that bothers him in the village or in his missions to make you talk but nothing works

He also has a lot of difficulty to maintain a discussion with you, as you never answer

Your conversations are rather long monologues from him but he has the impression that you listen to him so he doesn't hold it against you

It's oonly an impression though because you're trapped in your own head. He'll notice it too at some point

One night when he came home from shopping however, he heard you crying and hiccupping in the bathroom. He rushes into the house, and once inside he realizes that you are crying quite loudly, long trails of tears are on your cheeks as you cry your eyes out

He takes you in his arms as soon as he enters without really having time to think, luckily you don't try to get out of his grip, too busy trying to breathe properly

You look so small in his arms like that, shivering like a cold kitten, it makes him want to tear up

And that's when he realizes that you're having an panic attack

He was trying to ground you by holding you to his chest and rocking you but he realizes that this is not the way to do it - he was not really taught how to handle this kind of situation

He rubs your back up and down trying to get your attention on something else, his forehead against yours, whispering comforting words in your ear

"Breathe, my Sweet, don't worry, the storm always fades away"

And finally after about thirty minutes he manages to calm you down

"Please Love talk to me. Tell me what's been bothering you all this time. I'll do my best to help you get over with this"

But to his despair you shake your head, you can't even look at him in the eye, and that makes him panic even more than before

"Did someone hurt you ? Did they threaten you ?"

You shake your head once more, this time it makes him feel better but he still doesn't know what's going on

"Don't you trust me enough ? How can I help you if I don't know what you're going through ?" he couldn't help but be offended and frustrated that you didn't tell him

"It's nothing serious…" you said with a groggy voice because of your sobs

Were you sick ? Were you having other problems that he couldn't imagine ? Maybe

But he hopes that if you haven't told him, it's because it doesn't directly affect your life

It's been 3 weeks now and your condition is just starting to improve

In fact just after this event where he saw you crying you didn't see any point in hiding your condition, knowing that he had seen you at your lowest point

But Itachi did his best, he had asked the ninja doctors and according to them what he described was like a depression

He took care of feeding you himself and making you drink enough

He also helped you to motivate you to take your shower and go to bed on time with him, because you didn't sleep much anymore and big dark circles had appeared under your eyes ( mini L Lawliet )

He also noticed that you liked it a lot when he dried your hair with a warm towel that he passed over your head

Or when he brushed your hair calmly, one day you fell asleep on his lap and he didn't realize it until he called you softly several times without any answer

When he leaned over to see your face he noticed that you had fallen asleep and it made his heart swell. You looked so adorable and peaceful

He has always been careful not to cross any boundaries though, but if he realizes that you need him to be with you more often he won't hesitate to stick by your side and on the contrary if you prefer to be alone he won't mind giving you more autonomy, he will still watch over you from time to time from afar

Sometimes he will suggest you to go out in the forest or somewhere else, out of sight, for a picnic or a nap in the fields

You admit that it is very relaxing

That day you chuckled when you saw his eyes widen when a ladybug landed on his nose by surprise

He also chuckled after removing the little insect and made a wish before he saw it fly away

He could finally see some real improvement in your condition and it did him a world of good

He knew that your psychological recovery could very well be short or last longer, he was aware of possible relapses but no matter how long it takes you to get better he will always be by your side

"You know there is no pressure to have, everyone reacts in a different way" he told you as he took you in his arms, poking your foreahed with his fingers before kissing it softly while you were surrounded by the fields of wheat around you and that's when you felt that warmth come back into your heart and at the sight of his smile he felt it too

You were feeling better and that's all that mattered for him

Y/n knew she had to let go again.

It was the only to save everyone…but was it selfish to want him to live?

Itachi had kabuto in an Izanami, an infinite loop and was coming clean to Sasuke of his burden. Sasuke, either in shock or anger refuted. Itachi turned to y/n and smiled gently as he approached. 

Tears were starting to swell as he took y/n’s hands in his, “Don't cry for me” he bumped his forehead to y/n “How can I not?” y/n said in a shaking voice. He huffed slightly and embraced y/n, immediately y/n tightened her arms around him and began to sob “Its wasn't fair! You shouldn't have had to save them!” he said nothing but soothed y/n hair as she vented years of anger “Why!? Why did we have to suffer for the sake of the village!? Its not fair!....why…”  she reared her head back to look at him. He looked the same, even in death, he was the most beautiful thing. She felt her own eyes change when they made contact with his Sharingan. Itachi smiled softly “who would we be if not to suffer for the sake of others?” she hated his vagueness.

Truly hated it.

“Is it selfish of me to want you to stay? I dont want to accept this as my reality…please I cant” she dropped her gaze as she felt another rack of sobs breaks through her chest. 

Itachi knew that there was nothing he could say that would ease her pain. Time was ticking and they needed to end the reanimation jutsu soon.“I know you wouldnt sacrifice anything for the sake of the village y/n, but would you sacrifice anything for me?” he asked. y/n head shot up “Of course!” 

“Then sacrifice me…for my sake” he whispered as he stepped back and began performing the hand signs for the reversal of the reanimation jutsu. 

There was only the last thing…and she didnt want to do it. Itachi looked at her and nodded softly.

Itachi was the only one (or few) who knew of her true nature and abilities.

She placed her hands on the ground and felt her heart break along with the seals that were placed for the reanimation jutsu.

She turned to Itachi and watched as he gave his last atonement to Sasuke and approach her. 

“I am happy the last thing I could see were your lovely eyes y/n” he smiled as he began to disperse… y/n teary eyes went wide and met him halfway and she couldnt help but hold unto him tightly. This time Itachi returned her tight embrace and softly pressed his lips to her forehead

“I’ll always love you y/n, in this life and the next” and with that he was gone…forever…

All were grateful for whoever had ended the reanimation and in the aftermath, many shinobi on the battlefield was still in shock over the event of seeing their past loved ones and getting to have closure. Kakashi was on the search for Y/n. Following her chakra led him to the cave where Itachi and Sasuke had their battle with Kabuto. There he found a tranced Kabuto, a distraught sasuke, and a wailing y/n. He slowly approached y/n and she practically latched onto him.. “y/n wha-” “He did it” kakashi blinked at her. She looked at him dazed, tears staining her cheeks, and eyes red. He was stunted. y/n eyes were switching back and forth in her distressed state. “Y/n calm down” he shook her a little. “He did it to save the village” he didn't know who she was referring too “Y/n who stopped the reanimation jutsu?” her eyes focused a bit and gave a smile sad “Itachi” Kakashi eye(s) went wide at the realization.  

y/n began shaking and  let out a strained gasp as pressed her hand to her chest and started hitting it as another wave of grief hit her. “Y/n-No!” kakashi tried to restrain her but it as if she couldnt stop. “Why why why why why why!” she wailed. Kakashi had never seen her like this 

“Y/n…” 

Breathing heavy, chest scratched and red, y/n eyes were glossy and blown and she looked at kakashi, gave a sad smile as she wrapped her arms around herself and said

“I just want it to stop hurting”

"Are they too tight, darling?" you whispered, fiddling with the rope tying your secret lover's wrists to his headboard.

The room was bathed in a flickering candle light and you were both keeping as silent as possible. It was a song and dance you'd done many times before, but that didn't mean it was any less serious or dangerous if you were caught.

"They're perfect," Itachi breathed, looking up at you like you hung the moon and stars in the sky. "Have you got the blindfold?"

"Of course," you smiled, taking the velvet blindfold out of your pocket. "Are you sure about trying this?"

"Yes, I trust you and I want to try this."

Gently, you slipped the blindfold over his eyes, softly adjusting his hair around the strap. You had both been eager to try some sensory play, and now that Itachi was bare, tied up and blind folded, you picked up the feather from the bedside table.

"Okay, darling, I'm starting now," you said, eagerness slipping in to your voice. "Are you ready?"

"Yes," Itachi breathed out, arching towards you already. "I'm so ready."

And then the door opened.

"Itachi, have you seen my-" Sasuke walked in through the door you had obviously forgotten to lock but froze when he saw what was happening.

He saw you, shirtless, leaning over a naked and tied up Itachi, and obviously his mind reached a conclusion that he didn't like.

Sasuke's face twisted into a rage like you'd never seen. He pulled out his sword immediately, pointing it towards you.

"Get off him!" Sasuke hissed, hands shaking in rage.

"Prince Sasuke, it's not what it looks like-" you tentatively climbed off of Itachi and held up your hands. Your words didn't stop him and soon you had a sword pressing into the skin of your neck.

"Sasuke, stop, please," Itachi said, wrestling against his restraints. "Don't hurt them!"

Sasuke ignored him.

"Give me one good reason why I shouldn't kill you right now?" Sasuke spat at you, growling fiercely.

"It was consensual," you blurted out, terrified. "I promise, Itachi asked me to-"

Wrong thing to say.

"You dare?!" he hissed, pressing the sword further into your flesh. "You dare to claim my brother asked you to assault him?! I'll kill you! I'll drag you out in front of everyone and behead you as slowly as I can before I display your head in the dungeons!"

"Sasuke, stop, please!" Itachi cried from the bed, voice panicked. A quick glance showed that he had managed to get the blindfold off, but one of his hands was still tied to the bed. He would only need a few more seconds to get out, but you could feel blood trickling down your neck and weren't quite sure you had a few seconds left.

"You will regret ever looking at him," Sasuke growled before opening his mouth and angling his head towards the door, presumably to call the guards.

"Stop!" Itachi finally wrestled his hand free and tackled Sasuke, dragging the sword away from your throat. "Stop! Don't hurt them!"

As soon as the sword clattered onto the floor, Itachi stood and ran his way over to you, immediately fretting over your injury.

"Oh goodness, this is all my fault, I'm so sorry," Itachi cried, hands fluttering around your neck.

You swallowed heavily, and took both of his hands in yours.

"It's alright, darling, it's not your fault, here," your voice was shaky, but you ignored it and instead grabbed a blanket from a nearby chair and draped it over him to give him something to cover his bare skin. Itachi wrapped the blanket around himself and leant into your chest.

Sasuke was now standing by the door, holding his sword once more.

"What have you done to my brother?" he asked, horrified. "How long has this been happening?"

"Sasuke, they haven't forced me into anything-"

"No, you won't get away with this," Sasuke shook his head, walking into the corridor. "Guards!"

why did sasuke remember sakura's smile at the hospital? ss shippers claim that he was jealous of sakura, but when he almost killed her with chodori at the rooftop, he didn't care...

They are just desperate little people with their heads filled up with fantasies and hormones. They don't see what precedes a certain panel and what succeeds it. They have never heard of selective reading. Or context. Wouldn't know narrative or visual language if it hit them in the eyes. Can't even follow a story written for kids. Or if they do, they certainly don't act like it. Do they even get nursery rhymes? Cause seeing their level of comprehension, I have my doubts lol. They are deliberately stubborn about things that are so freakin obvious, it's embarrassing. Sasuke was feeling very insecure and resentful because he had just had a confrontation with Itachi, his brother that he wanted to kill and had devoted his entire life to that particular goal. Oh but sure, he was only jealous because of Sakura, when Sakura herself admits he doesn't talk to her, doesn't tell her anything, is always quiet around her, hates her no matter what she does, when Sasuke is leaving Konoha. Because she is more important than Itachi to him. Yep, that must be right. Who cares about Sasuke's characterisation or the narrative, they are just going to believe whatever they feel like. Because Kishi is their maternal uncle who bounced them on his knees when they were small and they are totally entitled to twist his story any which way they like. Oof.

How can someone confuse this as anything else? It's like they just want to read the manga with closed eyes. Sasuke is obviously feeling resentful because he is in the hospital in the first place because Itachi hurt him, and Sasuke realizes he wasn't even close to him in strength, someone who happens to be his genocidal brother, and someone he needs to kill. While Naruto has just learnt rasengan, his taijutsu and ninjutsu skills have improved, and he was able to summon big ass toads to defeat Gaara, someone who was Sasuke's opponent, someone whom Sasuke was itching to battle from the beginning. Sasuke thinks of Sakura and the rest of it because he is jealous of Naruto and his improved skills, he knows Naruto protected them both. Sakura being Sakura who isn't the brightest and very partial to Sasuke, thinks it was Sasuke who rescued her but Sasuke tells her she was wrong. It was Naruto. After which, he gets triggered at Naruto's entry in the room and challenges Naruto for a fight. Because they are rivals, not just rivals, but they do compete with each other. Sasuke was very sure of his strengths and he thought he was doing okay but then he sees Naruto get so much stronger while he ended up in the hospital nursing his injuries and he obviously feels bad for himself. Yeah sure, Sasuke would think of romance sitting in the hospital, just beaten up and mentally tortured by Itachi. Sasuke is going through an entire range of emotions sitting there, visibly sweating and gritting his teeth but Sakura is just sitting there peeling apples cheerfully, totally oblivious to anything Sasuke is feeling, oh yeah, what a connection they have. Yum yum. So he flings the plate of apples outta Sakura's hand and gives her the death glare because he just loves her so much. Do you know how expensive fruits are in Japan to just go wasting them? Lol. Jk. But seriously man, my neighbour's seven year-old would get this story better than them. Sakura is in her own fangirl's paradise where she is nursing her handsome, popular and doting boyfriend back to health, she says - Now to cut them into bite sized pieces, and Sasuke is like - ......what is this annoying girl going on about? Fuck this shit. Fuck apples. Bring me Naruto.

Sasuke was jealous of Naruto. Because Naruto had a quality he didn't. He would go to any length to be able to protect the ones dear to him. Naruto protected Sasuke and Sakura from Gaara even though he was initially skeptical of his own strength as opposed to Gaara's, he was even scared a little. Even Sasuke realizes that Naruto was not being his usual self. But then Naruto, being Naruto, takes it on and defeats Gaara, aided by his summon, the giant toad. Sasuke was resentful of Naruto's strength. Sakura has nothing to do with this moment other than being a part of team seven that Sasuke thinks only he is qualified to protect. At that point, Sasuke did think of team seven members as his comrades.

Ss. Nincompoops they are. I am embarrassed writing about this and they are the ones who believe it. Bah. Let's please retire this ask already. No one has to feel confused as to what this panel means. It's clear as crystal as it is.

Silence. To some, it brings comfort; to others, it triggers an itch that they just can’t bear, nagging at them incessantly until they burst from anxiety. For Itachi, silence fell into the former category. It soothed him, and oftentimes kept him company when there was no one else around.

Now, the silence was crushing. Vulnerability wasn’t something Itachi was used to. For years, he did his best not to form attachments. He couldn’t. He had to put the mission first, and he knew forming bonds would only make what he had to do that much harder. It was why, in the loneliest times of night, when he allowed his mind to wander through the labyrinth, he often found you at the very center of it. He loved getting lost there, so much so that daylight had actually become his nemesis. With the light came reality, and Itachi was sick of dealing with reality. He wanted you. He needed you.

It started small. The interaction was actually so miniscule that Itachi barely registered what it had done to him. It was only later, when it was too late to escape, that he realized that small interaction had turned into his spiral down the rabbit hole that was falling in love.

What was that simple yet life-altering interaction, exactly? A smile.

Not just any smile, though, of course. Your smile, directed at him.

“Thank you!” You chirped, closing his hand around the yen. “But it’s on me today. Just don’t be a stranger, okay?” Your smile nearly knocked him out. It had been so long since anyone had shown him such kindness, and Itachi had to take in a long and deep breath as he looked down to your hand that was still resting on his.

Your smile reminded him of home, and the life he gave away. He dropped the yen on the counter, insisting on paying you for the meal. Before you could protest, he shook his head.

“As you wish.” He turned quickly away without giving you a second glance. He had a feeling that if he looked at you again, if he allowed himself the opportunity for the warmth in his chest to expand, he would, without question, fail at his mission.

He returned to your village frequently after that. He did his best to avoid you seeing him there, to the point where he sometimes felt guilty about it. Surely saying hello wouldn’t be crossing a boundary? Or stopping in for some more sushi? You were a waitress, after all. He was sure that you had men from all over the world coming back just to get a chance to talk to you again. The thought of that often upset him, but he tried not to dwell on it too much. He didn’t own you, and he didn’t want to. You probably hardly ever thought of him at all, and he hoped to keep it that way.

It would hurt less that way.

And yet, this was starting to hurt him, too. Hiding from you in plain sight, watching the way you interacted with your other customers and friends throughout the day. It was like peering through a window to the life he could have had, and by doing this, he was only feeding into the pain.

Itachi was self-aware enough to realize what he was doing. He knew he was allowing himself to live in sadness as a twisted atonement for what he had done not just to his clan, or his brother, but to himself. Every day he came back here, he was doing nothing more than injecting more poison to his veins.

The small bell dinged as he stepped through the door, and his body seemed to have a mind of its own as he walked straight to the bar and took a seat. You were moving with blissful unawareness, turning everything you touched to gold as you laughed with your co-workers and served your joyful customers. There was a sense of warmth and comfort that exuded from you that Itachi was drawn to, and he couldn’t help but hope that maybe you could be drawn to him in that same way.

You turned to face him, and Itachi saw the glimmer of recognition in your sparkling eyes. Through the sounds of waves crashing against rocky shores, you smiled at him, and he fell. Fast.

“Hello again!” You shouted, trying to be heard over the loud patrons of the small restaurant. “I’m glad you came back.”

Itachi smiled and nodded, once. He handed the menu to you and allowed his fingers to linger against yours for a moment.

“I’ll just take what you recommend. I trust you.”

You beamed at him and excitedly waved your hand towards the menu board, but Itachi wasn’t exactly computing your words. He could only focus on the way your eyes lit up with enthusiasm, and how your smile brightened up the room. He was sinking further and further into the waves, but by the time he had realized he was wading from the shore, he was already too deep.

Nothing could save him now.

After that night, Itachi never stopped coming back. He visited you frequently, and even eventually found the nerve to touch your hand. He was lost in the maze of you, and he didn’t want to remember how to get out. He isn’t sure how it happened, but eventually, the two of you got closer and closer until one day, he realized he didn’t need anyone else. So, he asked you out. And you’ve been dating him ever since.

“Itachi?” You sounded faint, as though you were millions of miles away. He blinked then focused onto you again, doing his best to come back down to reality. You were laying on his chest, looking up at him with your dazzling eyes that stole his breath every time. He ran his finger down your cheek and tipped your chin up, smiling down at you affectionately.

“Sorry,” he murmured. “Got lost in thought.”

A heartbeat. Two. Three. Itachi drifted along with you in the ethereal stillness, doing his best to remember how to breathe normally. Sometimes, he faded. He did his best not to, but when the majority of your life was lived in a web of lies, it was hard to find your footing in the harshness of the truth. And that was where he was - here, with you, in this moment now - he was facing The Truth.

And The Truth was he loved you. With every inch of his soul, and deep within his bones. He loved you through the steady breeze of the wind, and in the crashing waves of the ocean. He loved you with intensity and he loved you in silence. He loved you to the moon and back, and he even loved you in secret. You were his world, his everything - but did you feel the same? How could he feel this way for you without knowing you felt the same? It terrified him.

Itachi had faced every danger life could possibly throw at someone, yet at the end of the day, this scared him the most. The uncertainty. The void of ignorance that shielded him from rejection.

“I love you.” He was surprised at how boldly the words shot from his throat. They didn’t sting, or burn. They sang out for you like an orchestra, all wild and whimsical and free, and Itachi couldn’t help but repeat them. Again and again, as he captured your mouth onto his and wrapped you into his strong arms. He loved you. He needed you to know it; needed you to feel it in more than just your heart.

“I love you, too, Itachi,” you said breathlessly. “I love you so much.”

Okay yes the eye question for the healing is important but what would it do for Itachi’s tuberculosis UNNAMED RESPIRATORY ILLNESS

Snnxndjshsbs Naruto who while more jaded still has a good heart under all that scar tissue and a weak spot for the underdogs. Naruto who made genin but was left in the dust because no matter how hard he tried to prove himself no one wanted to promote the monster. Naruto who is just as skilled as the ANBU (he runs circles around all but two of them after all sharp chittering laughs mocking grown adults as he eluded them yet again) but gets none of the perks. Naruto who feels one of the two chakra signatures that are kind and perks up.

Both of them who see someone like them. Someone that doesn’t fit in. Someone with a gentle heart in a cruel world. Someone who grew fangs and claws to fight back against that cruelty.

Itachi isn’t entirely sure why he confessed everything to Naruto. Why he told him of every horrible detail of his assignment.

He wasn’t expecting righteous anger on his behalf. Wasn’t expecting a clawed hand in his own offering to help so he didn’t have to do this alone.

(He still isn’t sure to this day if Naruto meant help with the ordered Uchiha massacre, help him run, or help him kill the mage and his advisors himself. He isn’t entirely certain Naruto knew either.)

They leave the village covered in blood. Naruto still cloaked in chakra that dripped with malice as he supported itachi with an arm around his middle. They were rogues now. Missing nin. They could never go back.

“Why?” Itachi gasped forcing them to a stop as he looked at the short boy next to him. So much power in such an unassuming package. The power to destroy entire clans entire villages if he wished. “Why help me?”

Naruto blinked, eyes still more red than blue as he cocked his head to the side. (It was hard to tell how much blood was on him with that wild mane of red hair.) “you were one of the only people who were nice to me, and you needed help.”

It hits Itachi then, how much power he truly has here.

Naruto doesn’t hate the village. (Or he does but that is not his driving motivation)

Naruto is following who he considers to be his only friend.

And itachi…

He will not be as cruel as the world around him. Will not throw that friendship back in Naruto’s face. Will honor it and return it tenfold.

He owes Naruto that much.

Fugaku has dropped by to see his child. Itachi directs him to where Clarence was with an amused smile before disappearing to tend to his children. The Patriarch hums to himself as he moves toward him, ruffling his hair then pressing a kiss to his forehead. ❝ ━ Wanna take a walk through the gardens with me ? It's nice out. ❞ After coaxing the other outside, there's a small smile softening his features as they walk together, ❝ ━ I'm really proud of you. You've grown a lot in the time I've known you, and it's a sight to see. ❞

He goes quiet, contemplative as he raises his features toward the sun. There's no shortage of fondness that he holds for the child, and Fugaku hope the warmth that often fills him can also be felt by Clarence. ❝ ━ Why don't you tell me about what you've been up to ? Everyone is beginning to miss you back home, I have tell them how you've been. ❞ He chuckles at the thought of everyone who asks about all of them. It's nice. Family is always going to worry, but love is universal.

It is strange at times, to think he was the child the Uchiha wished to see instead of… y'know, the bloodline offspring. Ane-san was a man of many things but to think Clarence took his place, though spoken and proven to be incorrect many a-times. Clarence still felt a bit of guilt. He's never had a family like this, never a Father that didn't raise a hand or not hurt him for the smallest things. So, colour him beyond the norm in finally getting to experience that with the Uchiha-Kai back in their own lands. Clarence couldn't recall the last time he felt like he was tearing a limb off when he finally went back home to the Kimon-Kai after a stretch of two months under the Uchiha's roof.

It felt foreign to say the least, getting back into things.

Still, it's been under a month now since he's been back with Kenta and Fushimi, his work was smaller, less on his shoulders, but his network was vast. His reputation still strong even as he's been out in the field for so long due to his mind state. It was nice, though - to be trusted without a singular doubt. To welcome Kenta back into his bubble, to say farewell to Naosuke and Oleg who moved on with their married life. To fully meet Ume without worry, to reunite with Sasaharu and have one of the best cuddles he had since knowing the man. To sit as Itachi's side and rest his head with the voices get too loud and to sleep with the nieces and nephews in a pile of blankets and soft snores.

Now though - he was standing alongside Fugaku again, his Bàba - walking with easy steps over white stones and through bright green leaves. Though the season was the opposite of this sight, it was maintained through mutants in the home. Gardeners always had a healthy green thumb - they only allowed the vegetation to rot and freeze when requested over the holidays, but now it was to be blossoming all over again. A worthy sight for someone this important to Clarence now. Though, to be asked something, he didn't know how to word it. Things were… good? He was learning life and stability a little bit more. It wasn't an instant fix, but it was a great hurdle he took with the Uchiha-kai.

"Better… I've been getting better. I still find it hard, odd and strange - but I am … getting better." He nodded with clear flickering of the eyes - a few persons were fronting here, but it wasn't a full take over. Just kept Clarence a little rooted to the spot with each other until they settled down. "I've gotten back into hairdressing again… Slowly rebuilding my collection of goods. I was thinking of reopening my salon… " Something would be great like that. The stress of the world snipped away with the locks of clients. It was appealing to him. "Would you and Haha-ue visit if I did?"

-When y/n starts talking and her tone shifts into a cold, demeaning, harsh voice that Itachi’s never expected to hear directed at him, he freezes. He’s wondering what on Earth she might say. He has noticed that she has been getting colder and more distant with him lately, and being as observant as he is, he thinks she might want to break things off

-‘I don’t think I have ever loved you, Itachi. Besides, I’m going to another country to continue my studies, and having a long distance relationship never works’ (me who’s been with the same partner for 4 yrs and did 2 yrs long distance: BULLSHIT!!)

-Her voice is muffled, and it echoes in his head, clattering around like a sword. Why would she say something so cruel? He had never come to know her as a cruel, cold person. It was not the person he’d fallen in love with. He swallows, but he’s quick to conceal his emotions. He’s not going to show her just how hurt he is by what she said.

-‘Was it all a lie, then?’ he asks, calm, detached, hiding the pain in his chest. She shakes her head.

-‘No, I just think I was foolish to think there was something where there wasn’t anything. Sorry’ she says, though her face is impassive. Itachi nods slowly.

-‘Well then. I hope you find happiness’ he says, his lips set in a hard line. Her brow furrows, her lips parting in mild surprise.

-‘You’re just going to take it?’ she asks, staring at him. Itachi’s jaw tightens. Does she expect him to grovel for that kind of treatment? To beg someone who clearly has never valued him to stay with him? He’s not such a pathetic man.

-‘I see no point in continuing a relationship with a person who sees no worth in me and cannot treat me with basic decency. I am not about to beg for cruelty and pretence’ he says simply, starting to gather his things around her flat and putting them in a bag. She blinks, rooted to the spot in the hallway until he passes by her to put his shoes on.

-‘Goodbye, y/n’ he only says, closing the door behind him before she can answer.

-at home, Itachi does not know whether it’s anger or sorrow that dominates his heart. Why has he let himself get so attached? Why has he failed to see the extent of her indifference towards him? Why has he fallen for a lie? Why does it hurt so much, despite knowing now what type of person she is?

-When Shisui comes knocking at his door, he thinks he might not answer, but in the end, he lifts himself off the bed and walks to the door

-Shisui listens to him calmly as he speaks about it, but at the end, his expression is almost comically angry, all narrowed eyes, wrinkled nose and downturned lips.

-‘Fuck her. You’re better off without her, Itachi. And she expected you to fight for her? Tsk. You’d gain more fighting for crumbs at a buffet’ he says, waving his hand dismissively. Itachi smiles slightly. Shisui is always so honest and forward in a way that he values greatly. And he trusts him wholeheartedly.

-‘It still pains me. It was not a lie, to me. I thought I had found the person I wanted to build a family with’ he says absentmindedly, nursing a cup of tea like it‘s whiskey.

-‘You’ll find someone who’s worthy of that. And if you don’t, I’m always here’ he winks, and Itachi scoffs, amused.

yes omg!! i couldn't work on this for a while bc i was busy but oml i laid in bed thinking about this!! are we ready for some angst and comfort?

With enough force to make the surrounding bamboo tremble, Itachi tumbled backwards and hit the ground. Budo stood over him, shaking out his wrist. "I gotta hand it to you, Zametora-kun, your endurance and strength are incredible."

Itachi swiped his fist across his mouth to wipe off the blood from biting his cheek. "But?"

"But nothing. It's just a compliment."

Itachi jumped to his feet, jabbing his finger into Budo's chest. "Don't pretend like you're the bigger man, asshole. In your head, you're probably spouting bullshit about how I'm wasting my potential without martial arts."

"Nothing as crass as that. Just that you lack technique. Because of that, you shouldn't be so quick to criticize my club members." Budo gestured to Sho, who was watching the match with Unagi. Sho returned to Budo's side and the two of them left the Japanese garden. Itachi stood in one spot up until they left, staring down at the ground.

Unagi slowly approached him. "Hey, man, let's-"

"Don't fucking talk to me like we're pals," Itachi warned. "Get lost or I'll show you that brute strength Masuta was talking about."

Unagi bristled at the harsh words. "I can't wait for Rito-senpai to finish her training," he muttered before heading to the locker room. After a few minutes, Itachi slowly trudged out of the garden, but rather than turn left to get ready for the sports club meeting, he turned right towards the school's exit. He couldn't face his members in this disgrace. Especially Mantaro, who idolized Budo the way he did. He was embarrassed and enraged; why had Budo challenged him just for giving his club member a little smack talk? Sho needed to be taken down a peg, anyway. His ideals weren't realistic. Budo didn't need to demolish Itachi's pride for something like that, surely. He couldn't even take solace in accepting defeat; instead he'd gotten mad and antagonized his opponent. Even his own club member was sick of him. Things couldn't continue as normal; not for today, at least.

As he wallowed in his rage, he heard a gentle voice. "Zametora-kun? Is that you?" Itachi looked up to his right and saw Uekiya standing at the entrance to the gardening club, hugging a potted flower to her chest. When their eyes met, her face melted into a radiant smile. "It's so rare to see you around here, but it's a pleasant surprise. Is your club not meeting today?"

Itachi bared his teeth in a painful grimace. "Leave me alone."

Uekiya tilted her head, somehow unfazed. "Did something happen?"

"I said to-" Itachi interrupted himself when he caught sight of the plant in Uekiya's arm. "Shouldn't you be wearing gloves before handling a plant like that?"

Uekiya glanced between the flower and Itachi, a sparkle growing in her eyes. "So you know this flower?"

"It's a Japanese iris. Even touching it can hurt you."

Uekiya smiled brightly. "I never imagined you'd know so much about flowers! You're right, I probably should have put gloves on. People have been talking about a cat wandering around the school grounds, so I was in a rush to move it. It would be horrible if the cat chewed on it and got sick!" She eyed Itachi carefully. "Would you like to help me decide where to put it?"

Itachi scoffed and looked away. "As if I care what happens to a damn cat."

"Well, I'm going to move the plant regardless, but I need to pick a spot where it'll get enough sunlight and look good with the other plants. A second opinion never hurts with this kind of thing!"

Itachi glared down at the ground. He had no reason to play along with something silly like this. But he was also this close to punching something. He needed some way to soothe his nerves. His shoulders slumped as he sighed and turned to enter the gardening club.

"Oh, thank you!" Uekiya said enthusiastically. Itachi surveyed the club, taking stock of its layout. The other members were around, but after casting one glance in his direction, returned to their respective tasks. If they felt intimidated or repulsed or even amused by his presence, they didn't show it.

Over the next half hour, Uekiya and Itachi tried their best to find a spot for the iris, but instead wound up discussing all of the other plants conserved in the gardening club. Akademi's resources had given the club several challenging plants with which to test their cultivation skills; including the seeds of an incredibly rare Middlemist's Red. When they finally chose a place for the potted iris, Uekiya spoke up, "You know, you remind me a bit of this flower."

Itachi reacted immediately. "Are you seriously comparing me to this weak thing?"

Anyone else might have flinched, but Uekiya giggled as if Itachi had been joking. "Irises aren't weak! They're so well-guarded that you shouldn't even touch them, let alone consume them. It's hard to appreciate their beauty when they make it so hard to get close, but if you're brave enough, you can see all the details that make it special." Itachi stared down at Uekiya, who was gazing up at the blooming iris. "Do you know what irises mean in the language of flowers?"

"Uh... it's purple, so royalty, right?"

"That's right! But it also means respect." Uekiya beamed up at Itachi. "I deeply respect you, Zametora-kun. You're so devoted to improving yourself. But every now and then, I hope that you can give yourself some time to stop and smell the roses as well. You can always come here if you need to. After all, the roses are right over there!" Uekiya laughed at her own corny joke, but Itachi didn't say anything. He was too taken aback by her honest admiration and desire to cheer him up. She didn't judge him for liking flowers as a man, or for his thorny personality. He'd never felt so accepted by anyone, not even Asu Rito.

As Uekiya's laughter died down, Itachi spoke quietly. "I will... come back some time soon. Show me more flowers like this."

"I'd be happy to," Uekiya said with a soft smile.

"Uekiya-nee!" Himari called out. "We're all done here, so we're heading home. Don't stay too late!"

"Goodness," Uekiya exclaimed, "Is it that time already? I'd better lock up the shed and head home." Uekiya began fussing about the garden, leaving Itachi frozen in place.

"Um... can I help?" he awkwardly called out.

"That's alright, Zametora-kun! You can go home if you'd like."

But he didn't want to go home.

"I think I'll stay... maybe, uh... walk you home?" Uekiya stopped suddenly, turning to look at him in surprise. Itachi immediately backpedaled. "Because there's rumors about a psycho going around, you know?! If something happens to you, you can't keep your promise."

Uekiya smiled, her cheeks dusted with pink. "Thank you for your protection," she said brightly.

The journey home was awkward, but it was the start of many other offers to escort Uekiya home. After all, they both knew that all kinds of blossoms needed careful tending to.

Shikamaru

I could see Karin be very interested in talking with Shikamaru because the two of them seem to be on a very intellectually almost equal playing field. I mean, Karin was able to in the span of like 13 years figure out how to perfectly create a new artificial sentient and separate life from one DNA sequence, even with Orochimaru’s help she still knows how to do it and helped discover it which to me shows that she is extremely intelligent above so than the normal person similar to Shikamaru only she actually holds pride in her work more so or at least expresses it more.

Seeing the two of them talk and butt heads about improving the village, perhaps since I tend to default verse into the blank-period Karin needs to provide Konoha with technology and help implement it into the village as part of her amnesty / freedom condition. She helps bring her and Orochimaru’s findings to the village to improve technology and overall well being and agriculture. They would have to work together to find the best way to integrate it into hospitals or other places then to the wider public. Though this could be done with others as well it would be important for the hokage and his assistant to know exactly what’s going on and recommend the best course of action.

Haku

Honestly? I can’t see Karin being interested in Haku all that much. Maybe if she were to bring them back to try and test and record their specialized jutsus and stuff, but outside of experimental purposes to be able to basically create a copy of their DNA to get a hold of their abilities, she wouldn’t really find a reason to speak with them. Especially since she doesn’t exactly have a reason to care much about the cloud.

Itachi

She would be very interested in talking with him, finding out why Sasuke is so obsessed with him and learning about that odd familial love. Itachi is someone who holds a lot of love for his family, and Karin is someone who never had much of a family at all and the one she did have was robbed from her, so that kind of love that drives Itachi to do what he did doesn’t exactly make sense to Karin and she’d want to know more about it.

Possibly testing ways to fix his eyes, prevent blindness in a way that doesn’t rely on switching eyeballs like it’s another outfit of the week.

Choji

Uh----idk genuinely I’m not sure. All I can think of is an interaction where Karin is like ‘yeah ive never had [insert food here] because she mostly ate ration-bars or like, ration-like food since I doubt Orochimaru would supply his bases with much else lol. And Choji just being extremely flabberghasted and demands to take her to try all the different kinds of food in konoha and she just can’t really say no cuz hes already dragging her along and everyone else just doesn't bother to save her lol

Gaara

Alright, highkey, she wants to know about him just entirely. His love, his hatred, how he was able to forgive the sand village for what they did to him because Karin still holds hatred in her heart for the grass village for what they did to her and her mother she wants to know how he can forgive them after everything they’ve done and not just lash out at them especially when he has the power to do so. Not only that but how he’s able to even like, handle leading them??? And not be cruel. Love is something that, kinda like Gaara before naruto, she didn’t 100% understand, different types of love and forgiveness for those who hurt you she can’t grasp well so Gaara and her could have a really interesting interaction of learning to deal with trauma and forgive the ppl who hurt you, or not, but not to take anger out on those who dont deserve it and to rise above it.

Other than that, she’d definitely want to see what allows him to control sand, and 100% she’d want to see how his village works and possibly if they become close enough friends, give him tips on how to be able ot build a more agricultural society within the sand village and not have to rely on exports and imports for things like food. Possibly even helping in creating new foods via plant biology that could grow exclusively in the desert for Suna.

Kabuto Yakushi

Karin would, probably be indifferent to Kabuto. She’d want to know what happened to him after the whole war and why he’s so........ snakey/dragony, because she legit has to some extent lost her respect for him seeing how far he took this whole thing. Hell, she doesn’t even understand why he did this, and it’s illogical conclusion.

Also she’d totally yell at him for abandoning her and the rest of the people from orochimaru’s team after Orochimaru died because she never heard from him until Sasuke came and was like ‘lmao come with me’ and hearing nothing from orochimaru or kabuto decides to leave (also cuz ya know prisoners were let go, but that also solidifies to karin that kabuto is gone as well cuz she 100% thought he was dead)

Kiba Inuzuka

Another one I’m.......honestly not too sure about. Kiba isn’t someone she really cares about? She knows of his clan, mostly because she knows ninja dogs are a staple of the leaf and as such she knows ways to kinda trick them and get around their tracking but further than that she doesn’t find much of an interest in them? All I can think of is another instance where she’s stuck in the village and they just kinda bump into one another. That or something with scents and Karin’s whole perfume collecting hobby, idk, im stuggling here lol

Shino Aburame

Alright. Bugs. Bugs that feed on chakra are, honestly gross but also interesting to Karin. Based on Orochimaru’s like, reaction to bugs during the weird period of the anime with naruto and hinata’s wedding, i assume Orochimaru always kept his hideouts bug-free which is why it freaks him out seeing them around everywhere. Also Karin 100% would be weary of bugs as well since she’d see them as disease carriers. But Shino’s bugs in particular would be interesting because they are commanded by him, and she’d wonder how someone like shino can communicate with them furthermore as to why Konoha has so many of the Aburame in their higher ranks as well because she doesnt know that much about the Aburame clan besides basics.

Neji Hyūga

Karin 100% wants to experiment with the Byakugan. Despite it being an extremely like do not do thing, she’d 100% try to do her best to try and do so. Especially if he’s able to keep the body alive while doing such experiments. Trying to find a way to replicate it through Biology. Neji would be a huge experiment for Karin who she would love to just, do her best to test what she can do. Also she’d love to poke at that seal as well. Since most seals can be undone or broken there’s nothing to say that the seal Neji has can’t also be broken so she’d love to try to break it.

Also considering she’s an uzumaki her chances of learning a way to break it are much higher due to the clan’s affinity for fuinjutsu :) And no one has tried to break it, and there’s not been an uzumaki brave enough to try but in the new era of not being in that whole ideology of the main house vs branch she could literally break that physical representation and physical control. Of course it’d be an extremely difficult thing to do and lots of research was made since i doubt the jutsu was made to be reversed, but there isnt really a jutsu we’ve seen that can’t be reversed in some way, even the cursed seal can be destroyed that orochimaru gives so like--- why can’t nejis?

Orochimaru

Do I even need to talk about this one? Honestly just, yes, everything and anything I’d love to do with this. Whether it’s Orochimaru and Karin talking about their progression forward and what they’ll do after the war. Him offering her a spot back at his lab, a more domestic like life with the two of them becoming more found-family now that they aren’t as like, worried about being hunted down or have the same pressing matters as they did before.

Karin also approaching orochimaru about why he chose to take her in, why she was treated the way she was, and idk her trying to find a place now with the world changing so much, coming to terms with who she is and her place with him. Possibly him acknowledging her accomplishments and she just, is so happy to receive that validation? And just them working together to crack the secret of artifical life and making a vessel for Orochimaru that will be able to last him longer or just, find ways to make vessels that would be perfect for him via growing blank slate bodies for him to possess and then trying to intigrate powers and abilities from various DNA samples they still have left.

Temari

Alright, hear me out. Karin wants battle training. At the very least she wants to know how to get stronger but isn’t like 100% comfortable with Konoha, and Temari, being a strong woman who happens to live in Konoha is there. I could see Karin trying to train some day and Temari finding her and just absently insulting her stance because it would be so bad, and Karin just snapping back with well how would you do it. Adn it just goes from there.

Temari is a powerful shinobi, and she is able to do so without any special abilities or powers outside her wind-release. But even then it’s still hella powerful. You HAVE to be strong to lug that giant ass fan around everywhere. Karin, despite her being much more of a brain-oriented person, does wnat to be strong. She’s seen her potential during the war but isn’t sure how to get it out and the tough, training doesnt care about your feelings way that Suna trains people would definitely work well for Karin cuz she needs to be brutally pushed to her limits to get more of her potential out and it’s learning that to get better and push her forward.

Also spite, spite is a huge inspiration to do better so temari’s mean girl attitude definitely would help too lo.

Shisui Uchiha

Honestly? I’m drawing a blank again fhekjwk She’d be interested in him for being an Uchiha but further than that? There wouldn’t be much interest because she doesn’t know about Shisui. Sasuke never knew him or didn’t ever mention him as such she probably would think he was dead. Only wondering so far as to how he survived. 

Sasori

There needs to be a red-head club alright? But on a serious note uh...... Another person im drawing up a blank for? Probably wondering how he was able to keep the Kazekage’s ability while inside a puppet?? Because like, sure he killed him and made his body a puppet, but like-- how does having his body--- give him the ability of the kazekage when his chakra the thing i assume makes him able to do the jutsus, is gone???? like the idea you can prolong chakra and his special abilities past death is a beyond useful thing and she’d love to learn how Sasori had done it. a plot maybe where they work together to try and replicate other old jutsus through puppetry and how far they can push the limits??

Jiraiya

She’d probably end up slapping him. Like, knowing Orochimaru, he would not have spoken kindly of his teammates, especially Jiraiya lol. Though in all seriousness, um. Probably something about being raised with Orochimaru, how she was able to be a (mostly) stable person, ok no, Karin is by far the most stable person Orochimaru has actually raised lmao, but like more her experience living in the hideouts and the tests she had done.

Karin would be hella interested in learning about sage mode and how that nature chakra stuff works even if she couldnt do it herself. Because even Orochimaru wasn’t able to become a true snake sanin so to hear of someone and talk with them about accomplishing something orochimaru couldnt??? it’d be pretty eye opening to know the difference.

Suigetsu Hōzuki

anything and everything. Oh my gosh i need more of these two in my life. Since they obviously still work together in the labs with Orochimaru she’d had definitely helped build him a new containment area for his water-fish needs. Them just building it together, or having to cooperate with testing, living a life together and growing closer platonically, familialy or otherwise just melts my heart because Siugetsu while someone she dislikes is someone she wouldnt want to shove away.

maybe one plot where she hurts him too much and he does end up like leaving, only for Karin to actually come find him and admit she was wrong and apologize wanting him to come back because she rather him than be alone again and also admit she likes his company there.

Sai

....... im sorry i really can’t think of much. Karin doesn’t care about Root, or Donzo, or really anything to do with that. I could see some interesting interactions since both seem to lack some kind of nuance for jokes, and them just awkwardly not understanding jokes together or having their own kind of blatant jokes that only they can understand because of their lack of understanding of ‘normal’ humor lol.

Sasuke Uchiha

Ok I really, want them to talk. Just, talk about what happened. I know like 90% of these are just karin talking hfwekjhkwe but she legit wants to know why sasuke did what he did and if he genuinely feels sorry or if he said sorry just so she’d help them in the war. She wants to know she meant something to him even if it wasn’t romantic, she wants to know if he truly did feel remorse for almost killing her. Also talking about what happened in general.

Maybe them catching up during his travels? He comes to visit when he wants to rest but doesnt go back to the village because ya know its all unsafe. Or maybe even after Sadara is born or before, Karin scolding him for not being there with his wife or the person he loves (if you want to go with the sasuke is with sakura route) because she’d tell him how much sakura loves him and how it breaks her heart to see Sakura so lonely with him gone or at hte very least maybe help push him to take Sakura with him? IDK maybe that leads to them traveling together, and then later having to go to Karin to help deliver Sadara because sakura and sasuke were out doing their thing together when she was like ya know at that time.

So, let's set the scene.

The boys are being courted by this amazing alpha. They're perfect and kind and gorgeous and respectful, just everything they could have hoped for.

And the boys are in love. Truly and deeply, ready and willing to mate and marry soon.

When they are suddenly called in to a meeting with their respective clan heads.

Neji is on edge to be called to see his uncle, Itachi is not concerned as he meets with his father fairly frequently.

But the meeting is something worse than either of them expect.

Why now? Why after all this time are they suddenly saying they don't approve?

Neji:

Neji storms out of the meeting, furious.

He's had enough of this shit.

Despite everything his clan have done to him, he's somehow still surprised that they would have the audacity to push something like this.

He won't allow them to take something else away from him, never again.

He heads straight to his alpha's house, uncaring that it's an act of outright defiance.

He walks straight through his alpha's front door and starts brewing some tea in their kitchen.

And that’s how his alpha finds him, calmly drinking tea at their kitchen table.

“Hey, Neji,” they greet, running a hand over his shoulders. “I’m so happy you dropped by, I-“

“My uncle wants up to break up.”

Their hand stills immediately.

“What? Are you serious?”

“Of course, I am,” Neji snaps. “Why would I joke about something like this?”

Neji’s intended mate simply flops down onto the seat next to him, a curse word slipping from their lips. A heavy silence suffocates them both.

“Are you breaking up with me?” they eventually ask, voice weary.

Neji hesitates for only a moment before he steels his nerves.

“No.”

“No? Neji, your seal-“

“I don’t care,” Neji says firmly. “I won’t let them control me anymore.”

“I don’t want you to get hurt,” they say, gently brushing his hair out of his face. “Your happiness is the most important thing to me, and I won’t hold it against you if you break up with me, Neji, I promise.”

“Don’t you dare,” Neji starts, voice and composure cracking slightly. “Don’t you dare say that.”

Neji shuffles closer on his chair and rests his head on his alpha’s shoulder. Hesitantly, they place an arm around him, rubbing his shoulder with their thumb.

“I don’t think I can go back to the compound,” Neji says heavily. “They’ll take my coming here as an act of defiance and I’ll be punished.”

Neji’s alpha tightens their grip on him. They won’t be allowing that to happen.

“I should have grabbed some of my stuff first, but I was so angry, I was stupid to let my emotions take over like that.”

“Hey,” they reprimand gently. “Don’t say that about yourself. You can stay here with me, of course, and I’ll buy you anything you need. We’ll get through this, I promise. You’ve chosen me, and I will choose you in return, always.”

“They will try and use the seal,” Neji says cautiously. “I know they will, but don’t give in to their demands, no matte how much pain I’m in.”

“They won’t use the seal,” they say confidently.

“They will-“ Neji starts to argue.

“Not if we’re mated they won’t.”

Neji falls silent.

“If we’re mated, the village laws support me in making decisions about your wellbeing and they will support me if I attack the person using your seal. The law would be on our side.”

“We’re not mated though,” Neji says, pointedly avoiding your eyes.

“We could be though, by the end of tonight.”

Neji flushes and opens his mouth to reply but no words come out.

“I may have gone a little overboard with the nesting materials I was going to give you for your birthday, so I have plenty of things for you,” they say sheepishly. “It would be the best solution and… Well, it would be my honour to be mated to you.”

“Okay,” is the only word Neji can force out of his mouth.

“Then let’s do this!” Neji’s soon-to-be mate grins, pulling Neji out of the chair and towards the stairs. “You get started on the nest, I’ll grab some supplies, you’re not in heat, so we’ll need some extra things. But I should have them around the house-“

They continue to babble excitedly and Neji just watches them with a smile on his face. He isn’t used to people standing up for him like this, loving him like this. But he thinks it’s the most wonderful thing that’s ever happened to him.

Itachi:

Itachi is shell-shocked and numb after the meeting.

How could this be happening?

He has no idea what to do.

Itachi isolates himself from both his family and his alpha for two weeks, trying to figure out some way to fix this, a way that he can appease his family without giving up his soulmate.

He makes himself physically sick from the stress and isolation.

He’s paler and skinnier than normal. His eyes are dull and his hair is limp. He hasn’t slept properly since the meeting, his eye bags and stress lines more pronounced that ever.

But he won’t give up trying to find some way to convince his family. Some loophole or some way to make his alpha an advantageous match for the clan.

He knows that if he can’t find a way to mediate, he’ll have to break up with his alpha…

Of course, Itachi’s alpha is panicked and distraught by him just disappearing. They search the whole village, but no one will let them into the Uchiha compound!

Until they manage to spot him in an isolated corner of the market. They run up to him and get a solid grip on his arm so that he can’t leave.

“Itachi!” they call after the finally have a grip on him. “What the hell are you playing at?! I’ve had no word from you in two weeks!”

“Let me go,” Itachi says simply, refusing to turn around and face him.

“Yeah, not going to happen,” they scoff. “Do you want to break up? Is that it? Then at least say it to my face, Itachi, instead of running off like a coward!”

Itachi finally whirls around, glaring at his alpha for their accusations. But he doesn’t look well. He looks sick. All of the fight drains out of them immediately, replaced by concern.

“Are you sick?” they ask. “Itachi, please, just tell me what’s going on.”

Itachi lets out a whine, presumably by mistake if the way he immediately covers his mouth with a hand is any indicator. They loosen their grip on his arm and instead wind their arms around his waist, pulling him into their chest. Something is very, very wrong with him. They are still angry, but concern is steadily mounting.

Itachi lets out a shuddering breath and involuntarily relaxes into his alpha’s arms instead of fighting it the way you expected him to.

“My father wants us to break up,” Itachi whispers, another whine slipping through.

Itachi’s alpha sighs. They should have known it was something like this. Itachi was always trying to carry the weight of the world on his shoulders by himself.

“Shh, it’s okay,” they soothe him. “We can figure it out together, I promise.”

Itachi lets out another shaky breath, but they can feel his head getting heavier and heavier against their shoulder. When was the last time he slept?

They hold him steadily, keeping him still and releasing a comforting scent. Itachi slowly starts to lean more and more of his weight against them. He’s falling asleep.

They wait until his breathing has completely evened out before picking him up and carrying him home.

They would deal with this together.

Itachi still needs to learn that he can lean on other people, and you will make sure to teach him as many times as he needs it.
