Why I Write.
The anxiety softens when I am writing.
The chaotic world around me grows quiet.
The madness is my comfort as I throw my words down on paper, not knowing where the next sentence is going to take me.
Problem solving in real time as I pound on the keys thinking there is no answer when suddenly, it appears.
These keys have seen the tears, the laughs, the blank stares as I reside into my mind before singing my melody.
In writing, I have found peace.

National Day on Writing
October 20 is known as the National Day on Writing. It was created by the National Council of Teachers of English, who felt writing is critical to literacy and needs greater attention and celebration. Everyone writes all the time, even if its something as simple or as short as an email or a text. For more information, you can visit the NCTE website. You can also post about this day on social…

On Why I Write(s)
A lot of time of being a young writer goes in understanding the craft or the process of writing. The fun is there is no uniform rule to follow by the end of which we would automatically become great writers. “Greatness” is a myth now unlike the 19th century fascination for the great classics and creating a prescriptive literary canon. Not that the education system has gotten rid of it completely…

WONDER
Tonight I saw a solar storm,
Which brought the heavens to its knees,
And seared the eyes and hearts of those who watched.
I tasted nectar and ambrosia.
And sat with kings and gods,
And talked of words with Shakespeare.
Tonight I flew with Orville Wright,
And gasped,
As air beneath us passed.
Then ran across the Milky Way,
And shouted at the stars.
Tonight, I fought my enemy,
At the…

Published: Author interview at SpillWords Press
I’m very excited to share my interview as an author, published on SpillWords Press. I’ve been meaning to share it here since the 16th of March, the day it was published, but I’ve been extraordinarily busy thanks to my publisher and things completely beyond my control.
Here’s an excerpt of the interview.
What does it mean to be selected as Author of The Month?
It’s a huge honour to be selected…

Why I Write
Why I Write - Everyone's reasons for writing are different - here are mine.
#WritingCommunity #amwriting #writerslife #WhyIWrite #writing #WriterCommunity
I have always loved to write. Even from the age of about five or six, I would rewrite my favourite fairy tales in my own words and try to invent different endings for them.
The story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears had always been a particular favourite, and I always felt as though Goldilocks, with her brazen breaking and entering, got off with her crime scot-free. To make up for this, I would…
