Third Age Relics: WoT Misinformation Page
Today we’ve got selections from Evan Bullock's WoT Misinformation Page.
There’s a fair bit more where these came from, but I'm only posting the ones that made me start cackling loudly. Heads-up for spoilers here and on the original page, although the nice thing about old WoT humor is that for the most part you don’t get spoilers past book 7 or so, except accidentally.
Thom is a simple gleeman; that and nothing more.
*********************************************
The pronounciations in the glossary have something to do with how people actually pronounce those things.
*********************************************
Lanfear is the Daughter of the Nine Moons. She is already called the Daughter of the Night, and it is usually at night that moons are visible. The "Dark Prophecy" says about her: "Her new lover she seeks, who shall serve her and die, yet serve still." Rand is Lews Therin reborn, so he is really her old lover, and it now seems very unlikely that she and Rand will be lovers. Mat, on the the other hand, is fated to "die and live again, and live once more a part of what was." It seems possible that this does not refer to his hanging at Rhuidean. Maybe Mat was told his fates in the order in which they will happen. First, he will marry Lanfear. Second, he will die, but somehow be brought back, which fits nicely with the "serve her and die, yet serve still" prophecy. Third, he will "give up half the light of the world to save the world." This might refer to something he does on Lanfear's behalf; aiding a Chosen certainly might be considered giving up some of the light of the world, and if it ends up with Lanfear helping to do something bad to the Great Lord, it would be saving the world. Lanfear being the Daughter of the Nine Moons could also explain the Seanchan spy's reaction to Mat's mentioning her. Most people don't go around casually mentioning one of the Forsaken. As for the Seanchan Court of the Nine Moons, it isn't as if we haven't seen any Seanchan darkfriends... In fact, the raven seems to be some sort of symbol of the Seanchan, and the raven is also a carrion bird, often a sevent of the Great Lord. Mat's ashandarei has the ravens, which though they might just be symbols of the Seanchan, they also might be symbols of the Great Lord. As for the Nine Moons, I'm not sure we know exactly how many moons there are on Lanfear's cloak with crescent moons and stars, but it seems possible that there might be nine. Maybe in the Age of Legends, there were telescope-like devices which allowed people to see moons of other planets, and maybe nine moons had been discovered. If this were so, maybe Daughter of the Nine Moons was just an altered version of Daughter of the Night.
*********************************************
Bayle Domon do be a Chosen. He do be Sammael. They are both connected to Illian. Bayle Domon being Sammael certainly could explain how he knew about all those wonderful and strange things he talked about in TEotW. It also might explain how he got the seal focus. Sammael claims to have something which will allow women to control Al'Thor and we know for sure that Domon has something that can do this. Sammael has good reason to pretend to be Domon. Domon likes to collect old things. We know that Sammy desperately wants a good angreal or sa'angreal, and Domon's "hobby" of collecting old things might lead Sammy to someone who would know where some "old things" are. If that someone knew who Domon really is, he or she would be far more reluctant to tell him. Perhaps this is how Sammael found the stasis box, by playing the ship captain. Besides, hasn't RJ speant a lot of time on Bayle Domon? It seems too much attention for an unmimportant ship captain. If Bayle Domon is really Sammael, OTOH, it makes perfect sense!
*********************************************
Asmodean killed Asmodean. Later on, time-Traveling will be discovered. Asmodean will think a lot about time-Traveling, but will not be able to figure out the paradox of what happens when someone goes back in time and kills himself. Eventually, curiosity overcomes him, and he tries it. Asmodean certainly would have recognized himself, and been very surprised and alarmed to see himself. Asmodean could easily have killed himself and disposed of the body, and Asmodean is the only one who could know exactly where he would be on that day and when.

Future Tunks Saga
Future Tunks was a saiyn on Earth. He was really strong and already defeat Cell. Everything was fine and gong well in his timeline.
But then out of nowhere, Goku was there but he was not actually Goku but Goku Black. He was really bad and Good-obsessed and he wanted to kill all morals on Earth. The first group he founded beg him  'please! Do not die us!' BUT HE DID NOT FUCK OF CARE and blasted them until dead.
Runks will not sand for it and said “I will fight at you” and so they fought because he wasn’t willy to let the work he did to save the world go in vain. But Goku Back won and nearly killed him almost.
But dead he didn’t because Future Bulma was there waiting and put in her new time machine. She told him to get actual Goku to help and then he said okay and went back in time.
17 years in the past, Trunks found himself right in front of the Z teem. He asked Goku and Vegieta to help him fight Goku Black. They both want to fight so they say okay and agree to go forward in time.
But before they could go back in the time machine, a time portal ripped itself open and out came Goku Blck and Goku stood strong and said GET OUT EVIL MAN and they fighted. Eventually the strain withing the portal was too much for him and he was forced back through the time portal. It close.
Once eveything was finish, Beerus and Whis explained that the ring on Goku Back’s finger is a Time Ring. Something atht only the Supreme Kai’s can have
so they and Goku went to Universe 10 where they meet Gowasu and Zalasu. The latter was baddy and hated mortals. He said mortals are tainted boys and they are evil and god does not liek then.
It was then Goku could sense Zasasus’ power. He wanted fight, so he got one.  Goasu quickly ended the fight, claiming that is a test of Zalsu’s morals.
Once that was done, the three went back to Universe 7 where Galaku, Vegeta and Trunks go tinto time mahne and went back to Trunk timeline.
There they see Roku Black and Vegea rushed in to punch him until he was nearly dead from broken ribs. Except he wasn’t and was fine.
He said, “I am saiyanji and thanks to you and I most powerful benig in entire world.”
Goku Blakc screamed ver loudly and when he was done
“This is super Saiyan Rose and now you will died.”
Before he knew it, Vegeta was stabbed with Black’s ki-sager and fell on the groudn and was nearly dead.
But before the fight could go any fartther, it was intrerupted by Future Zomasu who said that he will finish off San Goku and so they fought, but not matter what they’do nothing could really injure him.
Zamsu laughed and said “you fool, I am immortality from the Super Dragin Ballz. Northing can hurl me.”
“Yes,” Noku balck laughed. “I am Zalalasu too. I used the Super Dragon Ballsl to take over Gokus’ body so I can in my endless years longest quest to KILL ALL MORALS!!”
Realityized that they’re outmatched, the Saiyans ran back to the time machine and went back ot oriignal timeilne.
At original timeine, Beers and Whis decided to take them back to Universes ten as thye were told about Zaisu’s partnership with Goku Black.
Meanwhile on Universe 10. Gowasu and Zamamasu were having tea and the altter could feel his anger at the mortals growing. Why could thye be allowed to reak havoc? Why woudln’t the Kis do anything? Zolamsu knew there was only one option.
Zamaus said “FUCK YOU I AM SUPREME KAI NOW!!!!!” and stabbed Gowasu till he fell in halfs and was aded.
But with his magic powers, Whisk rewinded time so that it never happened.
Just as Zsama was about to stab Goasu again, the Z Team caught him in the act. When asked to explain himself, Zolosu revealed his plan to get rid of Gowass, steal the Time Ringer, use the Duper Dragon Dalls to steal Goku’s body and wish for his alnernate self to gain immortality, and exterminate all mortality.
“Now it’s time fo you to go,” But before Goku got stabbed Beerus interfered. He destroyed Ziamasu, easing him from existence.
ONce done, they cane back to Unverse sevent and Bereus ordered Goku, Vegta and Trnks to go back to the future timeline because Beeruse said that killing people by god’s hands won’t split timelines up.
Than the three say okay and went back to Future Tunks Timeeline only to find the both Goku Black and Future Zamasi are still there and perfectly alive.
They explained tat they haven’t susfer at all thanks to the Time Rings they had. They said that they will killed of anyone that stands in their way of their mortal-free tuopia, even the other gods themselves.
“But, why,” Tunks asked. “Why if you’re for gods then why kill goods then?”
“Because it is good to kill mortals for gods but better to kill mortals for gods for myself” Zemesu and Gorku Black answered.
We will stop you Goky yelled and they all fighted. They knew that Zmasau was immortal so they decided to bring him back to Beis and Wheer after they killed Goku Black to seal him up.
The two knew that this can’t happen and decided to stop paying around and so they used the Potara earrings to merge themselves into Meged Zomos.
Goruk and Vegieat tried to fight him but it was no used as they were wiftly overpowered by the merged good.
But before they were finished, Trunks could hear the cheers of the remaining surviors of black’s purge. He drew their power into himself and this sword grew big and blue.
With little effort, he sliced Merged Zalomos in half and he died
OR DID HE???
All of a sudene, the renegade gdo’s spirit grew mad and whild, his infinite incluence spreading all ove r the multiverse. No matter what the free fighters did, it was utile.
All hope ws losts.
But then out of nowhere, ZENO Was there. He looked up adn with a waved of his finger, the infinite Zamamamasu began to disappear and the entire timeline with it.
They all went back to Goku’s oriinal timeline where Trunks
WHERE ARE GOING TO GO!!!! Trunks Yeled.
But then Whisk told him about how he’ll take him to alternate timeline where the events never happened.
and Tunks said back to Whis “but alternae trunks will be there too and hinder my attempt at resuming my former life.” and whis said back. “Ooh.”

Chess against Death -
Can Samarra be avoided?
I was just reading an excellent meta by @ebaeschnbliah, when something occurred to me like an epiphany. Maybe this has already been discussed in fandom, but since I haven’t seen it yet, here it goes.
@ebaeschnbliah‘s meta is about how Sherlock is confronted with death and dying throughout the show, and also how this is related to the promo pictures for S4, where Sherlock is playing a game of chess with Mycroft, while John is watching. They seem to be allegorically playing The Game, which is definitely a recurring theme in Sherlock.
Tumblr media
And if Mycroft represents Sherlock’s own brain, he’s probably playing with himself (his worst enemy, according to Mycroft in TAB).
At the end of the meta, @ebaeschnbliah questions whether the game is still on, because on one of the promo pictures, Sherlock throws the chess pieces through the air. Wouldn’t that end the Game?
Actually, now I believe it doesn’t – the game is still on! Because I have a feeling this whole chess theme might actually be inspired by an old movie about a man who plays chess with Death, an ‘epic historical fantasy film’ from 1957 called The Seventh Seal.
Tumblr media
More under the cut.
The Seventh Seal is written by Swedish director Ingemar Bergman, (more about the film here).
It’s rather ‘dark’ and, like many other of Bergman’s productions, brings up existential issues. It takes place in the 14th century, when the great plague known as the Black Death is wreaking havoc, killing 30–60% of Europe's total population. The main character, Antonius Block, is a knight who returns from the crusades together with his squire, only to find his country infected by the disease and the religious fanaticism and panic that follows in its wake.
Death is waiting for Block, but he manages to bargain by telling Death that he’s not ready yet, he wants time to use for one single meaningful act before he dies. And in the mean time Block challenges Death to play a game of chess. As long as he can resist in the game, Block gets to live, and if he wins, he and his family walk free from Death. But if he looses, Death can take him right away. Death consents, and they start to play.
This chess-against-death theme is rather pervasive in BBC Sherlock I think; as @ebaeschnbliah points out, the show begins (ASiP) with Sherlock playing a game of life and death with a serial killer, a murdering cab driver, who refers to a game with poison pills as chess:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And maybe it’s significant that the cab driver’s last name is Hope, because the chess game gives an illusion of hope for the victim; if Sherlock wins (supposedly by making the right choice), the killer gets the bad pill and dies, and Sherlock walks free - just like Block the knight in The Seventh Seal.
In this trailer (almost 10 minutes long; source or the screencaps) you can get a good idea of what The Seventh Seal is about.
Block the knight says he wants to know things before he dies.
Tumblr media
He has lost his faith because of what he’s seen in the world, and he wants knowledge instead.
Tumblr media
Like Block, Sherlock can’t resist the temptation to play the deadly game, because he wants to know. He thinks he needs to know how Jeff Hope thinks and the reason why, so he questions him and makes a series of deductions:
Tumblr media
And after his deductions Sherlock comes to the conclusion that “love is a vicious motivator”.
But ‘the game’ is mentioned repeatedly all throughout the series, and it’s clear that Sherlock is given a respite from death, just like Block in The Seventh Seal. Apart from John saving Sherlock from the Bad Pill by killing Jeff Hope, @ebaeschnbliah points out several other occasions in their meta, like this one in TGG/ASiB:
Tumblr media
T6T also repeats the chess game of death in depicting the British Ambassador playing chess with her husband, while they are held as hostages in their Embassy in Tblisi, Georgia, during a terrorist attack. The death threat while playing chess is very tangible in this scene, where one terrorist is pointing his gun at the couple:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Madame Ambassador is extremely bored (like Sherlock) after three months. But she says she’s got a secret weapon if only they can get out of the siege situation; Amo - which means Love, codename for Lady Smallwood.
Tumblr media
(Since I believe this is all happening inside Sherlock’s mind, and Madame Ambassador is a mirror for Sherlock, the subtextual meaning of this could be that Love is a secret weapon Sherlock can use against his enemies, but he needs to get out (=wake up from coma) first. But I admit I don’t really 'get’ what Amo is supposed to mean on a textual level).
Sadly, we know what happens next; the diplomatic couple gets killed under a counterattack from the AGRA agents, because they were betrayed by one of their own. So Death won their game, so to speak.
Yet another version of the same theme, also in T6T, is the story of Death in Samarra that Sherlock tells, which I believe is pretty much in line with the story in The Seventh Seal:
“There was once a merchant in the famous market at Baghdad. One day he saw a stranger looking at him in surprise. And he knew that the stranger was Death. Pale and trembling, the merchant fled the marketplace and made his way many, many miles to the city of Samarra, for there he was sure Death could not find him. But when at last he came to Samarra, the merchant saw, waiting for him, the grim figure of Death. ‘Very well,’ said the merchant. ‘I give in. I am yours. But tell me: why did you look surprised when you saw me this morning in Baghdad?’ ‘Because,’ said Death, ‘I had an appointment with you tonight – in Samarra.’”
At the end of T6T, when Sherlock thinks he has lost John’s friendship because ‘Mary’ (supposedly) took a bullet for him – making him escape death again -  he reflects over whether he can escape Death at all:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But here’s the thing: according to Mycroft in TST, Sherlock invented his own version of this tale when he was a kid; he told himself a better story; ‘Appointment in Sumatra’. The merchant goes to a different city and is perfectly fine.
Tumblr media
I believe this has to do with Sherlock ‘s childhood trauma; in T6T he also tells Karim in Morocco that he’s not familiar with the concept ‘happy family’. Something must have happened in his family past that has bearing on Samarra/Sumatra. So maybe what Sherlock can try to do is go back to his childhood, emulate his childhood ‘pirate’ self, and totally avoid the place where Death awaits him. I get a feeling that’s actually what he did in TFP, but I don’t think the mystery is completely solved just yet, even if he did solve the Musgrave ritual. Exactly how he is going to do it, I don’t know. But I do believe it will have to do with Amo – perhaps a love that isn’t betrayed this time.
In The Seventh Seal, Block confesses to a (supposed) priest, that he feels alienated towards other people, which I think is very much a resemblance to Sherlock’s problems with repressed feelings and lack of expressed compassion:
Tumblr media
And Block feels trapped inside himself, which I also believe relates directly to Sherlock being trapped in his own mind palace in S4, with ghosts as his only company:
Tumblr media
He also tells the priest how he intends to outsmart Death in the chess game. But since the priest is actually Death, he now gets to know Block’s tactics.
And maybe this is the key; Sherlock can’t outsmart death, trapped inside his own brain. It doesn’t matter how smart he is, this is about emotions, and he must wake up and come out to the real world and get in contact with ‘some people on the ground’.
Block and his squire get to know a family of jesters with their little child, and this family stands out to them with their kind and uncomplicated ways and very moving love for each other. Block wants to save this little family as his last meaningful act before he dies. But the Black Death is hunting people down everywhere, and since Block is now loosing his chess game, the prospects look bad for all his companions, including the jester family that travels with them.
At the end of the movie, the knight’s time is almost up. But then Block plays a last, desperate trick to distract death; he knocks the pieces over to buy time. And while this is happening, the jester family manages to escape.
Tumblr media
Which very much resembles what happens in this promo picture, doesn’t it?
Tumblr media
In The Seventh Seal Death simply puts the pieces back in place again on the chess board, and finally wins over Block. Which doesn’t matter much to him, since he already has managed to do his single, meaningful act before he dies; saving a whole family.
But this is precisely what I don’t think will happen in Sherlock. Because Sherlock already tried this in TRF (‘committing suicide’ with the delusion that this would protect John), and it didn’t work; it nearly destroyed John and ultimately made Sherlock lose him. And on John’s blog (which I believe better reflects ‘reality’ than the TV show) it says #sherlocklives means #johnwatsonlives. Which means that Sherlock’s only way to save John Watson is by staying alive. I do think that Sherlock is nearly dying in S4, and The Final Problem is about staying alive. Which I think he has managed this far, but if Sherlock is playing chess against his own brain (=Mycroft) with his heart looking on (=John), he can’t outsmart his own brain. And at the end of HLV Sherlock says to John “the game is never over”.
So maybe Sherlock has to continue playing ‘the game’ also into S5. Fortunately, in Chess there’s something called a draw, which might be the solution here; a tie, a truce, an agreement between Sherlock’s heart and brain, with mutual respect preserved. And maybe Sherlock has managed to buy some time by knocking over the pieces, so no-one has to die, ‘everybody lives!’ (as the Doctor would say in DW ;) )
Block says in The Sevent Seal that he knows that Death plays chess because he has seen it in paintings. Here’s the medieval church painting (15th century, by Albertus Pictor) that allegedly inspired Bergman to film this theme:
Tumblr media
Which means that the theme with Death playing chess is actually quite old.
Here is also an interview with Bergman about The Seventh Seal. Particularly interesting, in my opinion, is the part at about 7 minutes into the interview, where Bergman is talking about film ’reality’ and the audience believing in it. According to this other guy in the video clip, Bergman got the question: “What is he trying to do when he makes a film?” And Bergman answered:  “Well, I’m not trying to make it real, I’m trying to make it alive”. I have a distinct feeling that the same goes for Mofftiss.

Katrina Lis Ascia
=Appearance= Height: 5′5″ Hair: Blonde Eyes: sea green with deep blue at the edges Skin tone: Light Weight: 140 lb before augmentation Other: Split bottom lip scar =====Commissar===== Age: 4-27 =Personality & History= Like many of her peers Katrina was taken into the Officio Prefectus at a very young age after her parents perished serving the Imperium. She herself doesn’t even remember the details beyond her mother’s agonized screaming, fire, traitors, and the empty hole that used to be her father’s face. She never cared to remember her life as a civilian, as a little girl hiding away from the heretics, not even the world it was on, though she does recall it being a knight world that her father served in the Imperial Guard on. Since that fateful day Katrina sought to conquer and destroy that which had left her so helpless as a child. She struggled initially to keep up with the harsh demands of the Commissariat, while certainly not a noble or anything of the sort her family was not from a world as harsh as many other candidates, but she was very determined, dedicated, ambitious, and young. Steadily Katrina worked herself, tore herself apart and rebuilt to become the voice of authority and discipline on the battlefield. She spent a great amount of time around the Adepta Sororitas who attended the same Schola Progenium, often preferring to spend time with them in the few times of rest allowed by the strict, heavy demands, additionally picking up some of their behaviors and beliefs. As a young cadet she was excessive, brutal, and strict to a degree that threatened to break the most dedicated of standard guardsmen, utterly detached and far too swift to issue punishment and request execution. Under the mentorship of a much more forgiving commissar she was tempered, she let go of her rage and started to see through rationality, guided to connect with her men even. Much of this was best learned when she was attached to the Catachan for four months, early in her years as a cadet, gaining a far better grasp of her duty and how punishment is not always as effective as other means. The realities of war and humans being far different than the teachings in her Schola Progenium. She began to become much more invested with her soldiers and grew to be a far more reasonable enforcer, though still a commissar. When made a full commissar, her method of discipline allowed a far more personal and friendly relationship than most in the Officio Prefectus would recommend, allowing herself to gain bonds with some of her charge. However, this is not to say she would be forgiving or hesitant. Katrina Lis Ascia remained ruthless and forceful, the moment she believed there to be even the slightest hint of heresy or treachery she may fire a bolt, but she would rather follow and trace every movement of her target, seeking out any signs and if any others were infected. Where there is one heretic, there are always more, and she would rather catch and execute them all in one fell swing. She still ensures they understand that they should fear her if they ever fail to meet her standards and no one is safe from execution. She always sought to do more for the Emperor. =Equipment= Weapons: Bolt pistol, power sword, plasma pistol, two frag grenades, knife, and additional ammunition. Clothing: A black commissar greatcoat with gold epaulets and crimson interior, a white shirt strapped by gold finery, an aquila necklace, tan combat pants, black jackboots, red sash, and a red commissar hat with black brim and decorated with a gold emblem. She occasionally wears aviator styled sunglasses or night goggles and may carry additional equipment depending on the world and expected conditions. Other: The Guardsman’s Uplifting Primer, copies of particularly inspirational sermons and gospel from the Imperial Cult. =====Interrogator===== Age: 27-35 =Personality & History= During travel towards a crusade Katrina grew suspect that several of her charge were beginning to waver in their loyalty and fervor, at least one had started avoiding the priests and more had been notably more hesitant and nervous during her rounds, two had disappeared altogether. She began to do as she had done for more than a dozen years when such situations arose, she tracked them, investigated, and followed. She conscripted the guardsmen she knew to be loyal under her command, having them report to her every step and every action. When one of her new retinue were approached by the group, Katrina gathered the fifty-seven soldiers she knew to be true of those within her immediate reach as well as another two fellow commissars and their combined sevent-eight troops bolstered her forces, she led a small march upon the hidden society, expecting at most a few dozen traitorous guardsmen. What she found was far worse than she could have ever prepared for. A full cult of Slaanesh had grown like a hideous cancer hidden under the metal of the vessel they relied on. She rose her bolt pistol and fired into the face of one of the Chaos worshippers. As the bolt exploded heretics and traitors burst out in a sea of frothing infectious puss, the detestable beings summoned from the Warp they traveled through burst in waves of daemonettes, cut down in mass fields of lasgun fire, heavy weapons, and bolt pistols. The entire ship burst into fighting as traitors turned against their former brothers in arms. Katrina, who had personally led the tip of the assault, was locked in brutal combat as disgusting malformed creatures, unnatural entities, and those who had abandoned the Emperor and damned their souls ripped through the opening at the small assault force. Shouting in righteous fury she drove the Imperial Guard onward to hammer the enemy, she cut through the chest of one of the heretical spawn with sword and with it came the thing’s head, she emptied her bolt pistol, reloaded, emptied again, reloaded, block, parry, kill, kill, kill, kill, parry, kill, kill, kill, block, kill. On the battle went. As Katrina rose her pistol from reloading for the fourth time, she noticed there was no pistol, she moved to grab her plasma pistol from her hip. It was for emergencies and losing it in a sea of bodies was certainly an emergency. It took her a moment to realize the reason she had lost her weapon and failed to draw her back up was she no longer had an arm left to grab them with, one of the treacherous insects had managed to get a shot into her arm during the brief reload of her bolt pistol and torn it off at the shoulder. How troublesome, makes it harder to kill heretics. It was in this moment of distraction that she was stabbed through the chest by one of the wretched things swarming out of their enclave, she retaliated by splitting it in half and stepping further into the fray, though with the fall of her boot her injuries caught up with her and her figure buckled under its own weight. Under the protection of concentrated lines of las-fire, Commissar Ascia was pulled away unconscious and in critical condition by one of the fellow commissars she had brought with her behind the constantly reinforcing wall of lasrifles, heavy stubbers, and bolters that had mounted a crawling line previously centered around her lead. She was swiftly given basic treatment for her wounds with limited anesthetics administered and the wound sealed. Katrina awoke as the last of the vile scum were purged from the ship, forcing herself through the haze of pain and shock she took struggling steps towards the front. A few brave medical personnel attempted to stop her, but the fearsome glare of a commissar is enough to make most decide otherwise. She stumbled to the front, using her favored blade like a cane. Unable to yet locate her pistol in the corpses that covered the deck she pulled her plasma pistol. She managed to join the dying battle, screaming out motivation to her soldiers as she limped towards enemy lines, even in her condition she could fire a shot off, though being in a less practiced left hand and heavily wounded it was much less than accurate. Still, it was highly motivational to see a woman with one freshly bandaged shoulder, arm missing and blood stained across her uniform shouting that the Emperor did not give any of them permission to die. It was equally motivating when she moved the boiling plasma at you and told you fight better. It was here that she earned the attention of an inquisitor, colloquially known as Oak, who had been starting his own investigation into the suspicion of heresy aboard the vessel. Inquisitor Oak was known for being focused on the growth and recruitment of the Inquisition, having raised quite a few interrogators. He took the newly healed and now partially metal commissar, assigned a squadron of stormtroopers, and began to provide missions, often attaching her to other inquisitors or more experienced interrogators for the next six years slowly honing her investigative senses as she grew through trial by fire. As time went on she would build her own team and with some of her training already provided by the Schola Progenium she would grow to be a trusted young Inquisitor in a relative short time. =Equipment= Bionics: Right arm replaced with a bionic arm, offering far greater strength and unflinching accuracy Weapons: Gaining access to far more weapons as someone prospected for entry into the Inquisition, most weapons of the Imperium are open to her. She mainly stays with a heavier boltgun, inferno pistol, and her ever favored power sword while still keeping the bolt pistol from her days as a commissar. Clothing: Granted the Rosette two years into her new position it remains present whenever the mission allows. She prefers much the same uniform as she originally kept as a commissar, though with additional Inquisitorial markings. Other: Excerpts of the Imperial Cult, Guardsman’s Uplifting Primer =====Inquisitor===== Age: 35+ =Personality & History= After more than half a decade of service she grew into her newfound role in life. Upon becoming a full inquisitor she immediately used the facilities and status now available to her in order to further and fully prepare herself for the... coming duties in the implantation of augments that would assist her in her work. She would acquire her own retinue, pulling from the many teams she had worked with over the years. gather whatever equipment she could acquire for missions, take command of a small cruiser, put together a small retinue of troops, and began to serve the Emperor of Mankind in however she saw necessary. Katrina would keep herself young and in constant service, ever seeking out whatever heresy may endanger the sanctity of the Imperium. Completely opposed to daemonhosts and remains deeply suspicious of any psyker, even those in the Inquisition. In the midst of high stress she also tends to fall somewhat back into her old personality, shouting out threats, motivation, ‘Motivation,’ and generally acting more zealous with the righteous fury of her past. The years of acting as the ultimate arbiter, however, have not been kind. She struggles with her own beliefs at times as most Inquisitors do, but she has managed to maintain a strong puritan stance. She believes herself unable to truly comprehend the God-Emperor’s grand plan, but that she must do what she can to forward Humanity, to lift those who do great in Mankind’s name, and to purge those who rebel against the Imperium and the Emperor’s grand designs. She focuses on the Ordo Hereticus and Ordo Malleus primarily, but will move between organizations as she deems necessary. The Emperor’s light shines on all his loyal subjects, and one day he shall stand to take the Galaxy again. Until such a day comes she will tirelessly forward the needs of Man. =Equipment= Bionics: Katrina’s right arm has been replaced and several complex implants have been placed within her head to allow for greater precision, to sift through electronic networks from her mind, and to provide the capacity to rapidly calculate a stable firing solution in combination with locking up joints in the mechanic arm. These implants are internal and hidden unlike her obviously replaced right hand, though she has grafted skin over it at times to help in her disguise herself. Additionally, she has a small neural network linking her to a collection of a dozen servo skulls for reconnaissance and her augments allow her to bring up extensive files for many of her constant needs during her deployments across the Imperium, visually displaying necessary data through a connection to the optic nerve. Weapons: As an inquisitor she has access to almost every weapon of the Imperium, she loads herself with whatever her mission requires, though whenever possible she will be carrying her favored power sword and inferno pistol beside a large, hefty main weapon and a rarely deactivated null rod upon her belt to suffice for her distrust of psykers. Of course, there are times were investigations require a far more subtle touch. She still often carries her old bolt pistol, if only for the sentiment of it. Clothing/Armor: Ranging from a suit of power armor styled after the Adeptus Sororitas to civilian clothing her clothing and armor depends on her mission. When not going for subtlety she likes to wear the emblem from her comissar hat, its skull now bearing an Inquisitor’s mark and her uniform darkened, having evolved to closer fit that of the Inquisition than her origins. In time as she gained more influence she would even gain command of her own suit of terminator armor. Though unable to wield it to the same level of an Astartes the Ordo Malleus’s agents dispense justice with fire, bolter, and fury all the same in the powerful moving walls of metal. Katrina remains a vigilant and powerful servant to the Emperor of Mankind. She keeps her aquila necklace present whenever possible, a reminder of why the Heretic must burn, not that she needs it. Other: Refractor field, excerpts of the Imperial Cult =Retinue= While she will requisition other forces to accomplish her goals, these are the consistent members who remain within her staff throughout her missions. Krieg Quartermaster #6349, Friedrich “Six-three” Bredow A Krieger who has taken quite well to following her orders and shadowing Ascia. He had at first served as a combat engineer of the 68th Death Korps Siege Regiment for the first years of service. Showing especial promise in an underground breach and assault he was moved to a position of grenadier once the digging operations had ceased. Surviving the danger and violence of the assault deployments he was promoted to watchmaster, as is the path of any promotion to officer in Krieg. Eventually he found himself as a proper officer in the duty of Quartermaster. He acts as her right hand, able to do basic combat repairs, dealing with basic first aid, offers his engineering expertise, and assists when “inspiration” is necessary. He became her aide early in her time as an interrogator when she was injured reviewing a siege against a xenos threat with her left leg shattered and a rib broken. 6349 was assigned to care for her recovery and was never returned to normal duty, per request of the interrogator herself. She found him extremely useful, aiding and carrying out her duties making her operations even more efficient than when she had been at the front line and, though she wouldn’t admit it even to herself, cute in a rigid militaristic sense that immensely pleased her inner commissar. One may find it funny that one of the few soft spots in the commissar turned inquisitor is even more rigid and fanatically devoted than herself. He often fortifies any temporary base she holds, though she is not entirely sure from where he keeps getting the sandbags she is fairly certain he makes the razor wire himself. He is rarely seen not tending to his various duties or at attention by her side, boots polished, greatcoat pressed, helmet shined, silently guarding and prepared to charge into combat in a moment’s notice. His unblinking gasmask also helps quite well in “motivating” those who are being uncooperative. 6349 prefers to continue using his serial designation as his identity like most members of the Death Korps, though his superior has a tendency to use his original name when speaking with him in private and the retinue generally refers to him as Six-three for shorthand. When put in active combat duties he’ll usually replace his lighter Quartermaster uniform with that of the Krieg grenadiers and bring both the hellrifle of the assault troops and shotgun of engineers. In emergency situations he has carcass rounds prepared should it be necessary. Carcass rounds are capable of shredding through even the best of armor at short range, but they have a massive amount of heat and recoil, as well as being extremely indiscriminate to anything remotely in front of the barrel, though that can be said of most rounds of the Lucius Pattern Shotgun. They also have a tendency to harm the man holding it, much like overcharging a plasma rifle. 6349 is also never without some of his entrenching tools from the engineering days and the long knife of Krieg’s infantry with at least his boltpistol prepared. Sister Carduus Bellerose Battle Sister of the Adeptus Sororitas whom Katrina met in her Schola Proginium, a veteran serving as long as the inquisitor. Carduus is one of the more aggressive members, a former Seraphim fully armed and armored as an assault troop. Sister Liviana Castellum Hospitaller who was with Ascia during her time in the Schola Proginium though a few years her senior, Castellum is rather cold with a harsh tongue. She has a slightly exasperated tone usually, especially when dealing with the little sis after she inevitably burns herself again in her zeal. Castellum stands in a supportive role near the front lines supplying additional bolter fire and dealing with any injuries. Sister Julia “little sis” Furdelis By far the youngest and perhaps the most fervent of the retinue, Julia was brought in alongside Kastroff, being a promising young member of the Adepta Sorroritas at an early age when Katrina’s old instructor refused to leave without the child he was most directly training. Julia is extremely up beat, often filled with a child-like joy and innocence, fused with an absolute unwavering dedication to the Emperor who she often refers to as “Dad” and a love of purging the unclean. Armed with a multi-melta the small girl gleefully burns the heretic. The rest of the team is noticeably protective of her. Arbitrator Snowball A highly decorated officer in the Arbites, Snowball joined service under Katrina during the second year of her time as an interrogator alongside Muffin and Red. Katrina was inspired during her studies on the Adeptus Astartes legions, specifically the Iron Snakes chapter, and so brought Snowball into her fold. Over time Snowball would become a vital part to the tracking and provide vital support roles in identifying enemies. Snowball is a cyber-mastiff of the Bloodhound variant with his extensive auspex systems in a lightly armored variant designed to sniff out even the most hidden of targets. Arbitrator Muffin This cyber-mastiff is of the bullpup variant, playing a much more direct role in combat and partnered closely with Muffin. Bullpups are built to create fear and take down targets with a shock jaw which can double as a chainblade and emitters to create low frequency sounds, Muffin is additionally modified with overcharged las weapons in his shoulders. Far more heavily armored than Snowball, he is part of the frontal assault of the team and often carries heavier equipment that could not easily be brought by other team members such as a lascannon on his large metal frame. Cassandra “Red” Jones Adeptus Arbites arbitrator and Cyber-Mastiff handler, Red was brought on to help manage Muffin and Snowball. Having worked with both of the mastiffs, survived combat more than a few times on Landunder, and being one of the few non-mechanicus handlers made her a natural choice to Katrina. Red aids in command over the little pack and keeps them trained while not deployed. She’s perhaps the most empathetic of the team and tends to try and pull back Katrina’s most violent tendencies to mixed success. She’s armed with a powermaul and her shock shield was replaced with a storm shield, working to defend at the front of the lines. She also carries a shotgun slung across her back. Feldor Kastroff The older and experienced priest is rarely out of reach for Ascia, originally her teacher in the Schola Progenium as a Drill Abbot. She regularly finds need to pray and confess, to calm and guard herself from the radical portions of the Inquisition whom corrupt their own purpose. The longer she serves as an Inquisitor the more she finds herself approaching the priest to reaffirm herself and help her gain clarity. He rarely leaves the back lines or base, being well past his prime, but provides spiritual guidance and instruction to the cadre. Ignis Temar As a Banisher, Ignis knows the dark forbidden depths of Daemons and is held in some suspicion as a result, however his expertise makes him extremely valuable. He became part of Katrina’s retinue only after her ascension to Inquisitor and is the second eldest among the acolytes. He is physically a massive and heavily augmented man wielding a giant thick chainsword and a stormshield. His primary duties are to help guide in dealing with the foul creatures of the Warp, especially that which cannot be so easily read without corruption, and protect the retinue. Toldar Palidus Though the commissar has always had some mistrust and distaste for the Mechanicus it is impossible to neigh impossible to have technical capabilities which can be necessary. After a great deal of searching she came upon a Tech-Priest she found to be the most trust worthy to her. He’s generally kept in a maintenance role, taking care of the equipment and assisting with Castellum in tending to augments and the cyber-mastiffs, it is uncommon for him to be brought along outside of camp unless deemed necessary. That is not to say he is incapable though. =Luna’s Absolution= Tempest-Class Heavy Frigate Quite soon into her years as a full fledged Inquisitor, Katrina found herself in need of her own vessel to provide a mobile base of operations, something fast but very well armored. The venerable and readily available Tempest-class easily met her needs without causing any significant disruption to the Imperial Navy. She reviewed several crews before making her selection, personally making certain of the depth of loyalty from the ship crew and inquiring upon the officer corps of each vessel. It would take several days before she had made her decision and another few to integrate the security measures of stormtroopers which Six-three and Red were put in primary authority of.
