Some fun standalone sci-fi stories? It wasn't being ambitious.

Some fun standalone stories with an interconnected season-long story-arc? This is too ambitious and no-one could follow it.

A serialised season with tons of interesting and fun plots, new characters as well as deepening character arcs? This is literally the most complicated thing ever; no-one could possibly enjoy this.

Characters of different ages from places outside of London and from diverse backgrounds and family dynamics? Pandering.

Canonically queer characters who fall in love steadily over time, as their friendship deepens? This relationship came out of nowhere and is also pandering.

ok i get that the "hannibal despises rudeness and yet fell in love with the rudest person ever" trope is funny and all

but it kinda makes me uncomfortable because at the end of the day, it's just not true

will is honest and assertive. he's snarky and passive aggressive. he avoids people in general. but that's not what hannibal is referring to when he talks about rudeness.

he couldn't care less about social etiquette and whatnots.

when hannibal mentions rudeness he's talking about intentions, actions and consequences.

will is meticulous. he doesn't improvise. he plans every action. that's the opposite of rude in hannibal's terms.

Omg I think that was also the interview that did it for me!!!! My favourite moment is when graham misspeaks and cites the pickup line as 'hello david I will take you from behind' and instead of just ignoring it or running with it David goes: 'oh well that's a very different pickup line' LIKE AN ABSOLUTE FLIRT and graham goes all red and bashful and there's no way in HELL that David wasn't trying to elicit exactly that reaction like that was SHAMELESS flirting

What does it for me is right after Graham realizes that he misspoke, David's reaction of, "I mean, y'know..." Where the unspoken end to that thought is, "That's fine, too." It's that David is completely nonchalant and doesn't remotely seem to mind the world knowing he's bi and a total bottom.

Yes, Mormonism is a cult. Yes, it used to have many racist rules. Yes, religion played a role in colonialism.

But not every Mormon is evil. It isn't a morally bad thing to be Mormon. If anything, it is the church that is exploiting the people that is the true enemy.

As for Graham himself, yes he is unforgivable, but that doesn't mean he cannot redeem himself in his own way. He turned his back on the Legion. Sadly, in a post apocalyptic wasteland where people have to kill, pillage and steal to survive, doing the bare minimum is pretty fucking good in comparison to doing nothing.

Not to mention, when you see him in game, he isn't redeemed yet. It is up to the player to put in the work to redeem him.

Now, I hate Honest Hearts as much as the next person with critical thinking skills, but Joshua Graham is the only saving grace for that DLC just because he is interesting. The rest of that DLC is boring, racist trash. I am not defending it. I'm just tired of the mindless discourse around Graham's character.

EDIT: also if you think people posting about Joshua Graham is what causes people to become Christian Fascists, you don't understand how fascism works and that is dangerous. It takes more than a social media post. Fascism is currently taking hold of North America because of politicians and news hosts. It uses fear to spread it's message. As much as I dislike how conservatives use Graham's character and I think it can potentially be dangerous, that isn't the cause of Christian Fascism. Not to mention, Joshua Graham himself is rather tolerant of the Courier if they flat out tell him if they don't believe in God.
