tagged by @godzilla-en-mexico to share a few recent favourite tracks. not that easy when you've got other stuff on your mind (tinnitus worsening). however, here are 5 tracks i think are worth checking out:
Allie-X dropped a new album earlier this year and it's good stuff. Staying Power brings the energy and the message.
Cat Tyson Hughes made a gem of ambient album for quiet details at the end of last year. Watercolours is exemplary (and great for reading).
John T. Gast's Sinead Memory Tape from 2015 is an experimental and laidback album. Abyss and its reprise nestle easily in your mind.
Xiu Xiu - Stupid in the Dark
Looked forward to seeing them live, but alas I had to cancel. So take this weird, dark track.
William Basinksi's Lamentations have been playing a lot when I walked through evenings of the last months. It led to having some odd hymn playing in my mind, this track comes rather close to it.
i'm tagging @modelsof-color, @power-cords, @soracities and @hellwatermelon as their blogs never fail to disappoint. Then also tagging @homeisaplaceinthehills and @ysatis, because they pop up in my notes every week and i'm curious what they listen to. And anyone else seeing this, go ahead and tag me.
(edit: forgot i put this in the queue, but it's fine)
