The wingfeather saga is probably my favorite series of all time barring lord of the rings! It's incredibly underrated! I have so much art saved up that I haven't gotten to post anywhere! Headcanon !!

So basically I think it makes sense that Kalmar would be feared and hated by the people of hollows now that he's a fang, BUT what the people of hollows SHOULD be worried is Janner Wingfeather, he's a Throne Warden and it gives him more power (physically, not politically) than Kalmar could have, also instinctively he would scare more people than Kalmar ever could too even as a Fang. I also think Artham proved it by how impatient he is when Kalmar didn't know who he was in the end of book 2, he almost implanted fear into the king.

Looking back at the books, Janner got so much bullshit. Yeah, I know, Kalmar got turned into a Fang and shit, but god DAMN. He goes to the fucking factory, which, if I may add, he got bullied and abused till he bled, he was starved + all kinds of shit. He also has to deal with Kalmar running off, and he learns he has to protect his siblings with his life. Yeah, he loves them and shit, but still. Kalmar is an ASS to take care of. Taking care of them is almost all he was made for.

Anyway we need more Janner appreciation
