I have spent quite a bit of time in previous years trying to make my snowdrops grow in tight clumps, as in the first picture. They actually naturally grow in loose drifts in my garden as in the second picture. Maybe it’s time to let them do their own thing.

My daffodils aren’t quite far enough along to celebrate St David’s Day but I hope everyone has a good one! Dydd Gwyl Dewi Hapus! The winter aconite and crocuses were also growing under all that snow. Who knew?

Merry Christmas everyone!
I’m shocked to see how fast 2023 went but I’m more than happy to get to enjoy the holiday season. Hopefully everyone enjoys it as much as I have!
Cheers!

The crocus are up! I've long been toying with creating some sort of tradition around this as they're the way I know spring is here at my parents' house. Maybe making a cake moistened with a saffron cardamom syrup or something. I'll probably cut a few blooms and leave the rest for the bees.
