Snow is deeper. Air is colder. Animals still need fed. Hubs and I bundled up and headed out.
Pro tip: if you didn't know before, please be advised that cloth masks are fantastic for keeping warm, humid air around your nose and mouth. I did not do this yesterday and was in a coughing/vomiting fit by the time I made it to the horse barn. It is SIGNIFICANTLY colder today. I put a mask on. I made it to the horses, fed them, and made it back to the house with barely any discomfort. So yeah, use a mask in cold weather.
Horses were fed and warmer blankets put on. (We add some hot water to their feed to soak it and give them some warm liquid for their bellies. They love feeding time!)
Seamus would like seconds, please.
The chickens water was frozen. Thankfully, I brought some hot water for them as well. I moved the waterer under the heat lamp and poured the hot water in the base. Hopefully, that helps for now. I'm planning on bringing a dish and some warm water later. But would like to research what would be best first.
The birds are quite happy to stay inside for the time being.

Eiffel question: What's his favourite (and least favourite) kind of weather?
well, i think he's always hated the cold, and he definitely hates it even more now. i don't think he even likes wearing long sleeves unless he absolutely has to; he's always wearing tanks or t-shirts and/or has his sleeves rolled up. and he's a barefoot by default kind of guy. i think he would scoff at people who say cold weather is better because you can just layer up; he does not consider that comfort.
(and he lived somewhere that rarely ever gets snow anyway, but he does not get the appeal. it's cold and wet and he'd have to shovel it and then he'd get sick and also slip and break every bone in his body. he's convinced of that. he could enjoy spending a few days at a cabin in the mountains as long as all he had to do was get cozy inside with a wood burning fireplace and a hot beverage. but only for a couple of days, or he'd go crazy. eiffel loves the idea of feeling like a rugged outdoorsman, as long as it doesn't require anything too outdoorsy.)
that said, he lived in texas, so you know he hates hot weather, too. summer is brutal, and he's already a sweaty guy who runs hot. spring makes his pollen allergies flare up. ... he just loves to complain. he can always find something to complain about. eiffel's ideal weather is like, 80-85 degrees and sunny with a light breeze. and even then. bugs.

What Does Your Blood Taste Like?
Strawberry Milkshake
Your blood tastes like a strawberry milkshake, the sweet blend of ice cream, milk, and strawberries. Prominent flavours: sugar, fruit, and a pleasant cold.

When you show up to your own hospital’s ER limping and the RN looks at you like
(I’m fine and A Girl Named Sue is fine, she got spooked under some challenging conditions and while she’s a very sensible baby she’s still a baby and acted like one. It was not my worst fall by a long shot and I haven’t fallen in a long time so I was due for a spill, but Mr. Hedgehogwnt has never seen me fall off a full-sized horse before and A Girl Named Sue can be a bit acrobatic so he dragged me in
Luckily I got out of the ER just in time to go to the inpatient ward gift exchange and the gift was already in the car, so I hobbled over to the inpatient ward and after I assured them I was fine my RNs made me explain myself all over again and gave me an even harder time than the ER nurse
I think Mr. Hedgehogwnt was reassured less by the negative x-ray and more by the fact that my RNs do not hesitate to give me a hard time, which is how it should be)

-->With everyone back home, and a light snow starting to fall (I mean, it IS winter now), it was time to continue with the chores! Alice milked Moory and cleaned out her shed before licking herself clean (hey, if you've got the ability...); Smiler did some recycling, moved the clothes from the washer to the dryer, and chatted with the chickens for a bit (they were more receptive to their jokes, happily); and Victor had a lonely breakfast in the kitchen before heading out to the greenhouse to do the regular rounds of tending and harvesting! As he basically always does.
-->But today, he didn't have to do it alone, because not only were Elmer and Bugs still active (at least for a little bit, before they had to be turned off to avoid explosions), Smiler and Alice came in to help out too! Because it's not fair to leave it on Victor and the bots all the time. Smiler did some fertilizing with some of the Shadow poops they'd picked up in the past and applied some mite treatment to the cranky bees, while Alice used her werewolf super speed to assist with the harvesting of a few key plants that would need canning later. :) It wasn't much, but it was something. I'm sure Victor appreciated it. :)
-->With the fertilizing done and green beans and green peas picked, Smiler and Alice had a quick chat while Victor finished up the weeding and watering and such, then headed off to do their own things while Victor did the big harvest -- Smiler flying up to their room to answer comments on their Simstube videos before coming back downstairs for a dance, while Alice played with the lump of clay and did a bit of scavenging (no goodies, though). Victor finished up the harvest around 3 PM, but by that point was starting to feel the fact that he'd stayed up all night -- fortunately, a quick cash-in at the rewards store got him a cup of Sleep Replacement potion. One quick down of that, and he and his beloveds were ready to head to their store!
