Day in Fandom History: February 19…
Steven and Greg have to get Connie home before a major snowstorm rolls into Beach City, but Steven selfishly wishes he could spend more time with Connie by stalling for time, resulting in trials and errors time after time. “Winter Forecast” premiered on this day, 9 Years Ago.

I’m just saying that we have so many stories about ending an endless winter. Like so many stories about ending an endless winter. The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe, Wintersmith, Spinning Silver, Icewind Dale: Rime of the Frostmaiden, the Hades abducting Persephone myth, Recess: School’s Out.
And I know this is universally portrayed as a bad thing, and I totally respect that, but. A little endless winter would be kind of nice right about now, right? Maybe just. Two years of endless winter. Three years, tops.

Sunset Snow
Apr. 13, 2024
Preceding today's wintry weather, we had several high OR days with a reversed jet stream in the past couple of days, bringing warm springlike temperatures.
To my surprise, there were few flyers leading up to the storm. I was expecting a DOR phase and mass exodus. Instead, there was low air traffic and a natural hydrological cycle, starting with fog and mist this morning, becoming rain in the early afternoon, and then turning to snow by mid-afternoon.
We have a Winter Weather Advisory in the mountains with more snow in the forecast for tonight and tomorrow.

I'm kind of worried that at some point someone will question why I always seem to know the weather in Berlin (despite not even living in Germany) and I'll have to come up with an excuse that isn't "I'm obsessed with a specific esports league and follow everyone involved in it"

I love growing up in Massachusetts because only I could go outside at 3am with snow and ice on the ground wearing crocs, no socks, boxers and a thin zip up hoodie half open and only say “it feels so nice out”
