So me and my best friend/ wife @deathdestructiondoom decided to work on this project which is basically a rewrite (?) of the Gacha World plot

But art

The basics is the Gacha Summoner is named Lucas, a nod to Luni's real name, and basically Kenny wants to rewrite it but with better storyline and some more mature-ish themes. So we decided on her making the story and sketching the art while I line and render/ shade it

[Accompanying drabble below, contains LATE GAME SPOILERS.]

Wis saw the gun move just a millisecond too late. She snarled as she twisted herself to the side to dodge the bullet. 

It missed her head, but only just barely. Instead, it hit the hair clip holding her hair back, shattering the plastic. She cried out as she felt small shards of plastic lodge into the skin on the back of her head. Her hair started to unravel, still heavy with grease and sweat. 

In the fleeting moments of pain, Logan took the advantage, lunging towards her with terrifying speed. All Wis registered was a metallic CLANG and the sudden coolness of air against the sweaty palm of her right hand. 

The blow made her stagger back a few steps, and her damned hair swept in front of her shoulders, throwing itself right into her field of view. She reached her free hand up to try and clear it away, but Logan was faster. 

Wis felt two swipes of his dagger. The first one she felt with another almighty CLANG and her left hand suddenly freeing, and the second she felt as her other arm blindly shoved Logan, before there came a sudden stinging pain on her cheek and the fluttering of several severed hairs. 

Logan fell back, glaring at the now unarmed Wis. Wis glared right back. 

She should be terrified. The man had two lethal weapons in his hands and she was helpless.

But for whatever reason, maybe because she had already come this close to dying only an hour or so before, she wasn’t.

All she could feel was the blood and the adrenaline and the electricity rushing through her, a percussive cacophony as it slammed against every wall of every vessel.

Logan still hadn’t moved. What the hell was he doing? Toying with her? Waiting to see his soon-to-be kill cower in fear?

A chilly draft swept through the massive caverns, drying the sheen of sweat on her skin and finally lifting her hair from her face. 

Wis felt something wet on her cheek. Not tears. She had no reason to cry. 

She took a deep breath, turning to face Logan head-on. She lifted an arm to swipe away the blood dripping from the fresh wound on her face, her hardened, defiant gaze never once leaving Logan’s. 

She would either defeat him with her bare fists, or die with dignity. Of that, she was absolutely certain.

And despite the crushing odds, she was determined to make that choice herself at any and all costs.

fukushima namika - cure lotus

her name roughly means, “wave of the blessed island.” she is 16 years old and is very extroverted, meaning that she could help anyone who needs it! she loves nature, music, and art ever since she was a child. she goes to sakuhana high school and is a high-grade student, although she has nearly missed the bell a couple of times. when she meets nalin, she becomes cure lotus!

saito yuri - cure lily

her name roughly means, “equal wisteria of the lily.” (the best meaning i could find online). she is 15 years old and goes to sakuhana high with namika as the school’s council vice president. she is very hard-working with the other council members. the secret she has from them is that she has a sweet tooth for anything, well, sweet. in her free time, she likes reading, practicing calligraphy, and making origamis. when she meets lila, she becomes cure lily!

yukoran shiori - cure orchid

(hehe, it’s me! :D)

her name roughly means, “the poem of the gracious child and orchids.” (yuko meaning “gracious child” and ran meaning “orchid.” i just mashed those two together). they go to sakuhana high with namika and yuri. they are an introvert and does not like to socialize a lot. she says that she’s decently smart with decent grades, but their class thinks she is very smart. she likes to draw and listen to music in their free time. she even cosplays and reads a lot (mostlyyyy manga). when they meet winnie, they become cure orchid!

tsubaki akako - cure camellia

her name directly means, “red camellia flower.” she is 15 years old and is a transfer student in sakuhana high (originally from another school in kyoto). she likes playing competitively in wrestling and other sports. she likes traveling, spending time with her family, working out, and eating a lot of food. when she meets mallie, she becomes cure camellia!

sumire hisako - cure wisteria

her name roughly means, “the longing violet flower.” she is 15 years old and is a pretty popular student at sakuhana high with her high intelligence and strong empathy for others. but, some people think she’s weird for being quiet. like namika, she loves nature, music (mostly folk music) and art (ceramics). she has a liking for scented candles, so she keeps a couple in her bedroom :) when she meets wisty, she becomes cure wisteria!

unlike sugar sweet precure, these designs are actually pretty good! i have made art for them before and i hope to draw them again soon sometime in the future! :D

Hello! You may call me Wistie (pronounced like the "whis" in "whisk" + tea). I can art but I kinda suck at it so I don't count that at all

I use she/her pronouns and I am a very vivid lesbian. Although I'm pretty sure I'm also Aromantic so that's that

I'm in a few fandoms but most prevalent in pjsk and genshin impact

How late am I to this party? Oh, everyone's already done it and left. But I'm gonna do this meme anyways :>

I actually had a couple of these in mind way before already, and that was really helpful in developing Wisty's story, and doubly so now that I'm writing a new fic with her!

Rambling Explanations below:

Color: Orange - The color of zest! Energy! Just the stuff that Wisty needs in her life after slogging away in Highwind for years. Warm colors are all around Sandrock, setting the perfect stage to inject all that back into her life.

Flora: Wisteria - I mean, duh. Aside from the fact that it's her literal name (and of course, she's growing some in her garden too), wisteria are pretty aggressive growers. If you grow it against a wall, it absolutely will slip into any cracks. They also need regular pruning. The human Wisteria saw the ad to get builders to Sandrock and took all of 5 minutes to make up her mind on moving. She's got a bit of an impatient streak, too. She hates having to wait for stuff to get done. She can be easy to annoy or frustrate. She hates having nothing to do (or at least, nothing for her hands to do). It's been tempered a bit from her time without a workshop, but it's still a work in progress. Gotta pruuune it back.

Fauna: Fox - Foxes are playful and adaptable. Wisty's regaining her sense of silliness as she's able to flourish in Sandrock. Plus, she's had to adjust to Major Life Circumstances on more than one occasion--living within her means after the loss of her old workshop, and then, well, everything in Sandrock.

(Also, have you ever heard a fox laugh? I imagine that's kinda what Wis sounds like when she hits someone with a laser-precision timed pun. Just a little less squeaky.)

Object: A plank of pine wood - Or more accurately, several planks of pine wood put together into a sign. It was one of the first things Wis made after she finished her education: a sign for her new workshop. The closest source of wood was the nearby pine forest. It's also where the workshop name comes from: Fresh Pines! After it closed, she took it home, and it gathered dust somewhere in her parents' basement. It was bit cumbersome, but she brought it to Sandrock. And the first thing she did when she got re-licensed was to hammer it up. It still has a bit of that fresh, piney smell.

Song: Sunset - Alex Vourtsanis - This track is fast and energetic, for one titled "Sunset." I think it's fitting for both Wisty's brighter and mellower moments.

Feeling: Zeal - What's she's missing most of all. Wis became a builder because she loved working with her hands and doing good. Having to worry constantly about money and finding work really drained her of that passion. But here in Sandrock, who needs builders everywhere they can get, maybe she has a chance to find it again. :>
