Loving someone completely is never easy, especially when they ride the wrong side of the weird tracks. You can feel like you'll never be good enough, that you will forever be alone.
But then that one special person looks below the surface to see what the rest of the world does not. And you know that you'll be safe in their arms.
You know that trusting them is worth the risk.

I love the feeling of being in love. Not the perfect, fulfilled kind, but the unrequited one. the incomplete one that makes your heart ache with yearning. It empties you while leaves you brimming, your soul hollow and hungry.
The exhilaration of searching for a face at every step just because you know they're just an arm's length away that day. Being almost certain that you would meet them here at least once. Moving through your day consciously scanning every face so that you don't miss the one. Your tongue tasting disappoinment at every turn. Clinging to the the belief that all your vision of encountering them would come true... Because you believe yourself to be a witch who conjures whatever she desires.
But the day was ending and you were on the platform waiting for your return train. Hoping to at last meet them on the train. But the train was late and you were tired. Tired of the day. Tired of the waiting. And then when you finally release the desperation... when you finally give up the yearning to the universe, sighing to your mother through the phone, you meet those eyes. Eyes that don't meet yours immediately. Eyes that sweep over the place and finally lands on yours.
And you hold them for a while, waiting for the acknowledgment.
Then they do. They acknowledge your existence and wave at you.
You wave back.
They call you to come closer but you don't as your mother's voice floats through the phone. You just smile at them, unmoving, waiting for them to call once more.
And they do like a flame does a moth.
Words dance. Passed carelessly in ease.
Oh how you look forward to the eternity of an hour on the train before the deathless adieu. But universe challenges you, shortening your eternity. The crowd is too much and you need to catch the train but not without loosing their sight.
So Heaven grants you them only for a glimpse.
But isn't that all what you desired?
Poetry out of not eternity but a glimpse.
To have not a lover but a story.
And didn't you read enough to know the greatest one are always which only leaves you in yearning and never satiated?
Then how can you not conjure your desire?
After all you are a Witch.
