The Power of Intuition: Developing Your Psychic Abilities.
🌟✨
Intuition is a powerful gift that we all possess. It's the inner knowing, the gut feeling, the psychic sense that guides us. Whether you're new to exploring your intuitive abilities or looking to enhance them, here are some exercises and tips to help you tap into the magic of your own intuition.
🌟✨
1. Meditation for Clarity 🧘‍♂️🌌
Take time each day to meditate. Clear your mind, focus on your breath, and allow your intuition to surface. The more you practice, the more in tune you become with your inner wisdom.
2. Trust Your Gut Feeling 🤔💭
Start small by listening to your gut instincts in everyday situations. Trust that inner voice when making decisions. Over time, this will strengthen your intuitive muscle.
3. Tarot and Oracle Cards 🔮🃏
Experiment with divination tools like Tarot or Oracle cards. These can be excellent tools for honing your intuitive skills. Draw a card daily and interpret its message based on your intuition.
4. Dream Journaling 🌙📓
Keep a dream journal by your bedside. Record your dreams as soon as you wake up. Often, dreams contain intuitive insights and symbolism that can be deciphered over time.
5. Practice Empathy and Active Listening 👂❤️
Empathize with others and practice active listening. Tuning into their emotions and thoughts can help you fine-tune your intuitive abilities.
6. Nature Connection 🌿🌳
Spend time in nature. The natural world has its own intuitive energy. Take walks, sit quietly, and observe. Nature can amplify your intuitive senses.
7. Develop Your Third Eye Chakra 🧘‍♀️👁️
Work on balancing and opening your third eye chakra through meditation and visualization exercises. This energy center is often associated with intuition.
8. Trust the Process 🌟🌈
Remember, developing intuition takes time and patience. Trust in your own unique journey. Your intuition is like a muscle; the more you use it, the stronger it becomes.
9. Seek Guidance 🤝🌠
Consider seeking guidance from experienced intuitives or psychics. They can offer insights and techniques based on their own experiences.
10. Keep a Journal of Intuitive Experiences 📔✨
Document your intuitive experiences in a journal. This helps you track your progress and learn from your insights.
🌟✨
Your intuition is a valuable compass on your life's journey. Embrace it, nurture it, and allow it to illuminate your path. The more you connect with your intuition, the more you'll discover the profound wisdom that resides within you.
Embrace the magic of your intuition, and let it lead you toward a deeper understanding of yourself and the world around you.

Everything You Need to Know About Crystals: Tiger's Eye
Tiger's Eye (The Stone of the Sun)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Color: Golden Yellow with Brown
Hardiness: 7
Rarity: Easy to Obtain
Type: Metamorphic
Chakra Association: Sacral, Solar-Plexus, Third Eye
Deities: Ra, Sekhmet, Durga
Astrological Signs: Capricorn, Leo
Element: Earth, Fire
Planet: Sun
Origin: India, Myanmar, South Africa, USA, Mexico
Powers: The Sun, Protection, Abundance, Luck, Pride, and Justice
Crystals It Works Well With: Cat’s Eye, Chalcedony, Topaz
How It is Created: Tiger’s Eye is basically a quartz but they formed in such an unusual way that the fibers of the mineral called crocidolite are laid down in parallel bands within the structure. This creates its silk like appearance and its “cat’s eye”.
History: Tombs in the ancient city of Ur in Mesopotamia (now Iraq) dating back to 2500 BCE have yielded gold sets with agates, like tiger’s eye and carnelian. The tiger’s eye was very popular due to the belief that it harnessed the power of the earth and the sun. This is why it is associated with the god of the sun, Ra and why Egyptians considered it a very valuable gem. Roman soldiers believed that the tiger’s eye was a symbol of bravery and would ride with pieces of tiger’s eye on them in order to encourage bravery during battles.
What It Can Do:
Shields the energy field or aura from negativity
Clears tension and mental blocks from the solar plexus
Can soothe, calm, and restore one’s body and mind
Banish the evil eye and curses
Attracts money while curbing impulsive spending
Used to detect liars and deceptions
Can increase confidence and pride
Placing it on your third eye can help enhance psychic abilities and balance your lower chakras
Helps unlock and unleash your true desires
Alleviates depression and lifts moods
Reduces crabbing and addictive behavior
How To Get the Best Out of Tiger’s Eye: Wear it in bracelet or amulet form.
How to Cleanse and Charge:
To cleanse: Lay it on a windowsill where the sun shines the most or bury it in your garden where the sun shines the most
To charge: You can also charge it on the windowsill with the sun. The sun really gives it a great charge, especially if one of the deities you work with is a sun god.
Crystal Grid:
Abundance (Spiral)
Base for the grid, such as wood, slate, fossilized wood, or golden card or cloth
Citrine
Goldstone
Green Aventurine
Herkimer Diamond
Jade
Moss Agate
Ruby
Tiger’s Eye
Topaz
If you’re laying a preparatory “cleansing” spiral, start at the topmost point and lay crystals alternately, with the points pointing out from the center.
Place the Goldstone in the center as the keystone.
If laying an abundance grid, begin by placing the Goldstone in the center, stating that your intention is for it to bring abundance into your life.
Lay a spiral of alternated crystals, pointing down and inward, until you reach the Goldstone.
Add a grounding stone if appropriate.
When the grid is no longer required, dismantle it.

Witchy Resources
Astrology
Cafe Astrology - does your birth chart and it’s presented in a really cute way imo. It also gives you info about each placement and you can check compatibility and stuff too
Co—Star - I downloaded is the other day, it gives you quick daily horoscopes, do’s and dont’s for the day, and a longer breakdown of the horoscope
Dream work
Little Book of Dreams - I got this at a local store but you can get it for £4. It’s really cute and small, with just little summaries for what common dreams mean. It’s very simple but good for beginners in dream work
Deity worship (These are specific to Hellenism. You don’t have to worship Greek deities to be a witch but it’s what I have resources on because it’s what I follow)
Wikipedia - no seriously. It has info on so many different deities and their mythology so it’s actually quite useful.
r/Hellenism - a good place to ask questions if you’re new to deity worship and get some SPG on less common deities. Be sure to fact check
Amino - there’s a couple of Greek mythology and Hellenist communities on here. Like with Reddit, fact check!
Theoi.com - so much basic info on various deities, and it’s got epithets and things too that Wikipedia doesn’t have.
Tarot
Nata Soul Taro - probably the best pick a pile tarot readers I’ve found on YouTube. she also has a website and does personal readings. The videos are very calming and often really accurate
Zodianz - gives you three tarot cards and their meanings. Includes whether they’re yes or no, zodiac signs, planets and elements that correspond with each card, keywords for the card and then a short paragraph about the meaning. It also gives the meaning of the numbers in the card (like in 8 cups it tells you about 8)
If anyone knows any websites where you can learn tarot meanings let me know and I’ll add them to this list
Spell work
The Works - if you’re British, The Works has a lot of trinket boxes that you can keep spell ingredients in, and some potion bottles which are meant for crafts but they’re perfect for spell jars
Witchipedia - has some basic info about spells and some simple ones that you can do without needing many tools. Perfect for broom closeted witches, beginners or witches who can’t afford fancy stuff.
@strangesigils has some posts on common sigil methods, or, you can use some of their existing sigils!
Shadow work
Pinterest - I’m not kidding Pinterest has some great shadow work prompts if you just type in shadow work. Some are meh and some are really good
Co—Star - as well as astrology this also has a section where you can write a message to yourself and it’ll pop up the next time the stars are in the same position as they were when you wrote it
Crystal work
Holly’s Hope Beads - handmade crystal jewellery! My mum knows the girl who owns it and I’ve gotten a few pieces here. Really pretty and good quality

Alternatives to physical altars for witches and pagans who can’t practise openly:
If you don’t have the money or space for an altar or you live with someone who does not support your craft, there are a few altarnatives for you to consider:
A SMALL POCKET ALTAR INSIDE OF A MINT TIN
this could contain incense, prayer cards, a tea light, small crystals or some herbs
Pros:
- easy to hide and portable
- inconspicuous
- inexpensive
- simple to make
Cons:
- you can’t keep a lot of things in there
- you can’t really use it for offerings unless they are very small
- not very customisable
A DIGITAL ALTAR / GRIMOIRE
this could be in the form of a tumblr blog, a Pinterest board or a simple notes page
Pros:
- simple to make
- very customisable
- unlimited space
- easy to hide
- you can access it from anywhere
- you can get very creative with your spells and offerings
- useful for shadow work and divination, since you can document your progress
- very easy to navigate and organise
Cons:
- you can’t make physical offerings
- no physical spell work (like jars or candles)
A NOTEBOOK AS AN ALTAR
an analogue notebook that you can use like a mix of a journal / grimoire / altar
Pros:
- very versatile and customisable
- you can use it as an altar to place physical offerings on
- easily portable
- useful for a lot of different things
- great for small offerings (like pressed flowers and herbs, photos, drawings and poetry / prayer
- useful for shadow work and divination, since you can document your progress
- easy and cheap to make
- inconspicuous
Cons:
- no unlimited space, if you fill it up you need to buy a new one
- no offerings larger than the book
- difficult to navigate if you don’t have a good index system
- not great for physical spells like jars or candles
DIGITAL ALTAR IN VIDEO GAMES
this can be an altar space that you build in games like Minecraft or animal crossing
Pros:
- somewhat customisable
- very fun to build
- you can make offerings like Minecraft flowers or dressing your character up in clothes that remind you of your deity
- playing the game and putting energy into it can be an offering in itself
- unlimited space (depends of the game)
Cons:
- no physical offerings and very limited options for spells
- how much you can do depends a lot on the game
- good video games and consoles often cost money and are thus not accessible to everyone
- no (or very limited) options for writing down prayers and the like
- limited option for devotional acts
Whatever your altar space looks like and whether you even have one at all, remember that you are still valid and your gods love you and understand your situation.

Mistakes and Misconceptions: Embracing the Learning Curve in Witchcraft
✨🔮🌙
Witchcraft is a profound journey, a tapestry woven with spells, rituals, and self-discovery. Yet, like any intricate art, it comes with its share of learning curves. In this blog post, let's explore the valuable lessons I've learned from my own mistakes and address common misconceptions about witchcraft, helping fellow practitioners navigate this magical path with wisdom.
🩷🩷🩷
1. Embrace Imperfection 🌿🌟
Mistake: Expecting perfection in every spell or ritual.
Lesson: Imperfection is the beauty of human experience. Spells might not always go as planned, but each mistake is a teacher. Embrace the learning process and grow through your craft.
2. Ethics First 🤝⚖️
Mistake: Neglecting ethical considerations in spellwork.
Lesson: Every action in witchcraft has consequences. Uphold ethical principles, ensuring your magic is a force for good. The Wiccan Rede, "An it harm none, do what ye will," is a compass for ethical practice.
3. Knowledge is Power 📚✨
Mistake: Relying solely on intuition without study.
Lesson: Intuition is potent, but a foundation of knowledge is crucial. Dive into the history, symbolism, and traditions of witchcraft. The more you understand, the richer your practice becomes.
4. Respect the Elements 🌬️🔥🌊🌎
Mistake: Disregarding the power of elemental balance.
Lesson: The elements are the cornerstone of magic. Respect their energies in your spells. Balance and harmony with the elements amplify the potency of your craft.
5. Patience in Spellwork 🕰️🕯️
Mistake: Rushing through spellcasting without patience.
Lesson: Spells require time and energy. Rushing compromises their effectiveness. Be patient, focus your intent, and allow the natural flow of magic to unfold.
6. Personalize Your Craft 🌈🌿
Mistake: Trying to fit into someone else's magical mold.
Lesson: Your journey is unique. Tailor your craft to resonate with your beliefs and experiences. The most potent magic comes from authenticity.
7. Openness to Adaptation 🔄🌌
Mistake: Sticking rigidly to one path or tradition.
Lesson: Witchcraft is ever-evolving. Be open to exploring different traditions and adapting your practice. The eclectic nature of witchcraft allows for flexibility and growth.
8. Mindfulness in Manifestation 🌟🧘
Mistake: Focusing solely on desires without mindfulness.
Lesson: Intentions should align with your highest good. Be mindful of what you wish for, ensuring it doesn't harm yourself or others. Positive, mindful manifestation is the key.
9. Embrace Setbacks as Growth 🌱🌑
Mistake: Seeing setbacks as failures.
Lesson: Setbacks are stepping stones to growth. Embrace them, learn from them, and recognize that they're an integral part of the magical journey.
10. Trust Your Intuition 🌠💖
Mistake: Ignoring your inner voice.
Lesson: Your intuition is your greatest guide. Trust it. If something doesn't feel right, explore why. Your instincts are powerful allies on your magical journey.
✨🔮🌙
Remember, dear witches, mistakes are not roadblocks but signposts on this enchanting journey. Embrace the learning curve, for it is in these twists and turns that the true magic of witchcraft unfolds. May your cauldron of wisdom brew with the lessons of your experiences, and may your magical path be illuminated with the light of understanding.

ꕤ❇Introduction to the Elements❇ꕤ
Elementary, my dear Watson!
Using an elemental system is one of the most foundational parts of witchcraft.  This will likely be your starting point for nearly all spellwork.  In some ways they can be considered a short hand for spell formation, but they can also be considered in a more literal way.  They are the parts of a whole.  Many different cultures have their own take on elements, but we are going to cover the Classical elements derived from the Greeks here.  Similar to how we break the year down into four seasons, the Greek system breaks them down into four elements.  This is the basis of understanding for things like western astrology and tarot as well.
How They Are Applied in a Spell Creation Context
Whether you stick closely to these ideas or branch off into other elemental systems, other concepts, decide some of these are less important than others, or develop your own takes on them: these stand as the four basic components of spellcrafting. Many of these concepts can become intuitive, and can make spellcraft more intuitive, as we break them down and think of things in this framework.
Air
Air is the element of beginnings.  This is your legalese, your spell definition.  The specificity of your wording is going to have an impact.  This is the lens by which you view the spell. You are putting speech to it, a concept to it.  You are giving it a task and it’s going to do its best to complete this.  This is where you want to define your timeframes, your amounts, your defining factors.
Fire
Fire is the force of will.  This is your intent.  This is what you want to happen, your determination.  This can also be where you find your kind of intent.  The flavor of your intent, even without the exact wording, can also have an impact on a spell and how effective it ends up being. Water
Water will follow the path of least resistance. This is your energy. The standards you set between your air (wording) and your fire (intent) dictate the path, and water will follow. This is where things like batteries (objects that you charge and use later) come into play. This is what powers the spell.  Water is also closely tied to emotions.  Stronger emotions are associated with higher amounts of energy, but also with more volatility. Earth
This is your manifestation.  Potentially also your anchor.  Your physical tools and objects.  Your grounding.  For this you might have some physical representation of your spell. This is going to be where you find most of your correspondences (the associations of objects). This is thought to anchor the spell to the physical world.  Some people do spellwork without this, but it can be hard to find your grounding and focus without it.  In those cases you, yourself, are the grounding wire as it were.
Associations and Other Tie Ins
How one incorporates the elements into your practice beyond the basic components of spellwork varies depending on the person. However, the themes come up in many other areas.  A few of them are listed below.
Zodiac and Personality Correspondences
The elemental correspondences include the above, but are not limited to it.  The western astrology system is based on the classical elements, and applies these associations to the signs.  The personality traits ascribed to the elements often run alongside the signs.  Air is generally associated in this fashion with intelligence, speech, and communication.  Fire is generally associated with vibrancy, excitability, and passion. Water is generally associated with emotion, empathy, and intuition.  Earth is generally associated with groundedness, earthly pleasures, and hard work.
Libra, Aquarius, and Gemini are air.
Sagittarius, Aries, and Leo are fire.
Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces are water.
Capricorn, Taurus, and Virgo are earth.
Seasons and Stages of Life
The elements are noted to correspond to the passage of time as well as the seasons.  Spring is air: the beginning of a cycle; summer is fire: hot hot burns me; autumn is water: changing, flowing, the world going to sleep; winter is earth: solid, unmoving, both the end, and what the beginning grows out of.  They are also compared to the stages of life in a similar fashion.  You are born in air (learning language, new concepts, getting started), your teens to early adulthood are fire (rapid moving forward, fast development, hot hot burns me), later adulthood circa midlife is water (creation, emotion, energy), and earth is old age (slowing down, calm times, grounding.)
Just as the stages of life are applied to times of the day by Jung, elements can also apply to the times of the day: dawn, midday, dusk, and night in an analogous fashion.
Associations, Correspondences, and Entities
Certain magical systems will ascribe magical associations to certain spirits or types of entities, objects, and even so far as cardinal directions. For the magical systems that use the cardinal directions, notably the Golden Dawn, this includes air in the east, fire in the south, water in the west, and earth is south.  Others will ascribe elements to entities, for example the archangels: Gabriel, Michael, Raphael, and Uriel. More examples enumerated below:
Air: Speech, poetry, music, knowledge, inspiration, thought, birds, winged insects, swords, athames, spears bells, thurables, and smoke in general. Fire: Strength, courage, s/xuality, regeneration, rebirth, wands, candles, candle holders, reptiles, fireflies, dragons, phoenixes, salamanders. Water: Emotions, deams, empathy, healing, magic, chalices, water dish, shells, brooms, mirrors, fish, dolphins, whales, mermaids. Earth: Health, wealth, prosperity, coins, pentacle, boline, dirt, rocks, herbs, salt, cornucopias, drum, worms, moles.
Tarot and Other Occurrences
Coins, Spades, Hearts, and Cups. The tarot is yet another place where the four element system surfaces.  The meanings derived from this can both extrapolate on the meanings of the elements as well as represent them.  In the tarot suit it is Wands = Fire, Swords = Air, Cups = Water, and Pentacles = Earth. In the same order the playing card suits follow a similar set, but they are Clubs = Fire, Swords = Air, Hearts = Water, and Diamonds = Earth.  Tarot itself is very in depth, but is worth mentioning here.
The themes surrounding the four element system are found throughout many practices and forms thereof. It can be worth keeping an eye out.

TW: Topic of blood in use of magic.
Blood in Magic
Blood is binding in magic. More-so than most other things. I am going to break down my understanding of basic blood magic in this post.
Blood in History (a very short, incomplete summary)
Through parts of history, blood was understood to be the life-force of a person. During belief of the four humors, it was said that those with blood as their predominant humor were in most health; with good constitutions; and maintained levelheadedness. This was true so long as the blood was not entirely out of balance. Once removed from the body, it dries up and turns brown, becoming dead. Even in "death," blood would be seen as valuable in medicine. There was value seen in the continuation of "good" blood, seen in the importance of bloodlines. Royals were said to have different blood than the layman. Gods were/are said to not bleed at all, as losing blood would be losing life-force, and they are believed immortal. There are even ritualistic blood substitutes that prevail today in use of modern religion.
Personal Take on Blood in Magic
Blood magic is binding magic. If one chooses to believe in blood as life-force for spiritual, religious, or historic practice reasons, then it holds ground for those reasons. Outside of those, I maintain it would continue to be binding as per magical theory. To explain this part of magical theory, blood is a genetic tag-lock. I am going to give my personal correspondences and belief systems around blood work so that it may be more easily understood by some.
Red: vitality, connection to the roots of life, activity, warmth/heat, power
Blood comes from the body red, and once removed for a long enough period, turns brown. It begins fluid and turns into something which crumbles like ash. If enough is lost, the living physical entity is considered dead themselves. With loss of blood comes a loss of vitality and activity, all warmth is lost from the body, and the connection to the roots of life are severed.
Iron: strength, protection, power, courage, conquest, mortality, binding force
Blood has a metallic taste which itself could be used as correspondence, but this taste comes form the iron used to create hemoglobin necessary for red blood cells to carry oxygen throughout the body. Without oxygen being delivered throughout, the body would not function. Iron is in celestial bodies, such as stars. It can be associated not only with the Earth, but with the universe as well. This well mirrors the physical body, and the spirit. (Stars that begin forming iron in their core are also on their way out, further associating with mortality with the material, aside form its association with blood.) Iron is fantastic in binding magic as it is commonly known as a strong, ungiving thing. (Not to mention its wide use historically and modernly in binding items such as shackles, chains, and cages.)
By using blood in magic, you are taking something which is vital for life, and integrating it into your work. Once it is used, the energy cannot be separated from the working, as you have given life energy to it that now belongs to the work. If used in fluid form, and it is your blood which is given, the energy is still tethered to you. Anything that contains your DNA is going to be a genetic tag-lock. This binds the working to yourself and your life-force, making the working inherently binding (a genetic tag-lock) on top of any conscious binding done in the working as well. If the blood is "dead" before the working, it becomes tethered to earthen energies of the area, and binds itself accordingly, unless consciously bound elsewhere, such as a designated object or entity. I specify conscious binding, but energies of blood may also bind itself elsewhere due to unconscious effort from an entity by means of emotional influence. Dead blood still contains DNA and has potential to be a genetic tag-lock. If this is not desired, I recommend setting the dead blood in the sun or in high heat for a few hours. This will break down the cells and allow it to be solely a component.
Because blood magic deals with life-force, it is considered very powerful and does take more to dismantle if the initial working was done properly. For the same reasons, I recommend practitioners are mindful when using this method in spell-craft, as unconscious binding may occur due to lazy, inattentive, or inexperienced energy practices. After the working has been completed, the effort it takes to undo a blood spell if you have a change of heart is very difficult and something to keep in mind before undertaking blood magic.
I will make more posts in the future that talk about the topic of blood in spell-craft, as I find the implementation and specifics fascinating. One such post will be a brief touch upon blood in protective magic, which I am excited for.
