Dance in the Pale Moonlight Chapter 7
"And then there were two," Connie muttered looking at the Nun and Businesswoman. Their teary eyes begged Connie to free them from Azurite's control as their bodies began to move to attack the witch on Azurite's behalf, puppets to her will.
"I'm sorry," Connie said, kneeling with her head bowed, "but this has to stop."
"Please, we...know you...don't want to kill us. " the nun strained to stop her body from launching another bolt, as the businesswoman bounded towards her with an axe kick, which Connie blocked with her left forearm.
"But.. You have… To stop us… stop her!" The businesswoman stated before flipping away as the nun launched her lightning.
Connie's eyes widened as she was stuck and tossed back to the barrier with a loud -𝙏𝙝𝙧𝙤𝙤𝙢! -
She grimaced and curled holding her singed stomach as the electrical current running through her nerves sent deep piercing, pain-filled prickles throughout her body.
'That...was well-coordinated.' Connie thought as she stood back up to her feet breathing as she withstood the unpleasant sensation. Her musing was cut short as she was forced to block an overhead punch from the businesswoman. Her eyes caught the sight of a very familiar-looking tattoo on her wrist, vastly different in design, but so similar in nature and the power it emitted.
Delivering an uppercut to the businesswoman's jaw, she was able to knock her back before tossing a fireball toward her chest.
*-THOOM-*
The sound of a fireball bursting in a fog of smoke gave Connie time to move away from the two heading up a floor, not before getting a glance at the electric barrier that protected the businesswoman. Place there by the nun.
Whose under a close look had slit eyes of lightning, slight crystals protruding from her wrist, and the same crest as the businesswoman on her right palm.
'They're contracted to each other.' Connie mused, "Explains the sturdiness and physical strength." She muttered, "how did Azurite force a contract upon them, to begin with?"
Her question was interrupted by another strike of lightning tearing through the fifth thru the eighth floor. Connie didn't hesitate to leap and propel herself up through the new opening, using her palms as purple flame thrusters. Landing on the eight with a roll, she looked around as the 'heat' from the conduit washed over her.
"Is it here?" Pumping magic into her eyes again and changing her worldview again. Scanning the area and following where she felt the most 'heat', she saw a dime size glyph shining in her darkened world view, on the ceiling of the eighth floor on the opposite side of said floor.
One that bore the same insignia as the barrier.
"Bingo," Connie muttered as she readied a precise shot of flame, holding her left hand like a gun.
bullet as Connie shot a purple flame bullet toward the glyph a stream of lightning intercepted it from below, causing a small explosion of smoke. As she covered her eyes to block herself from the smoke, her ear picked up the wooden clacks of heels stampeding toward her.
Using her left hand, Connie launched a fireball toward the sound and snapped her fingers causing it to explode before the two could reach her, running towards a pillar, using it as cover.
The two were able to withstand the explosion for the most part and were forced to jump left and right, as Connie fired a series of bullets from her left hand. They continued to move in, making Connie leap back, while shooting flames at the ground, and forcing them to leap again.
Just when Connie thought she got the better of the two, the nun vanished in a streak of lightning, reappearing behind the witch with a kodachi made of lightning at the ready.
"A completely elemental weapon!" Connie mused as she dodged a downward swipe, "That's impressive..you two really are in sync. " she praised as she leaped back from a swipe to her neck and caught the businesswoman with a blazing roundhouse in her face knocking her back into one of the steel pillars.
Connie looked apologetic but didn't get the chance to see if the businesswoman was out of the fight as her demon partner moved on the offensive. Her face showed a bit of anger.
Something that wasn't possible earlier in the fight.
"I'm sorry," Connie apologized as she dodged swing after swing.
"Don't apologize...You have to stop us... I don't want to see another... under her control." The nun said as Connie dodged her attacks.
'Their attacks are getting much easier to read now? Is Azurite's spell losing that much power?' Connie pondered as she dodged a relatively sloppy downward swing. 'So telegraphed.' She leaped up, dodging a stab and throwing a flame-propelled kick to the demonic nun's head, who put up a weak defense with her sword's hilt, getting tossed to the side as Connie's foot connected.
"You got your senses back?" Connie asked
"I see, so you are both starting to resist her control," Connie muttered as she ran towards the businesswoman who was just getting back to her feet.
"What gave it away?" The businesswoman whispered as she put up a reinforcement spell in time to block a bolt of purple flames.
"Your attacks are much too sloppy and telegraphed for two people who were in sync earlier," Connie explained as she ran up the side of the pillar and jumped off flipping in the air and shooting a continuous stream of purple flames at the blocking woman.
The Businesswoman was forced to dodge her fire to avoid being incinerated, allowing Connie the opportunity to close the distance between them. Throwing a left jab followed by an uppercut with her right that sent the woman crashing into the Magic barrier.
As she hit the wall, Connie could've sworn she saw a surprised and fear-filled look on her face before she lost consciousness.
"Now..." Connie searched, trying to sense where the glyph was, her now purple eyes scanning the floor, using its 'vapor and heat' as an indicator. Looking at a small Azurite-colored wisp trail heading towards the 'ceiling' of the floor where something the size of a nail head shone at the far northwest side.
Charging a bullet of flame, Connie's eyes narrowed as she prepared her shot, the bullet glowing hot violet.
"UH-UH! I wouldn’t do that."
Connie turned to see Azurite, with the nun's throat in her hand, her blue claws pressing against the exhausted and scared demon flesh.
The nun had a ball of electrical current aimed at her unconscious partner, against her will.
"Fucking bitch!" Connie roared.
" maybe, put the flame down or have this pair and everyone else's blood on your hand."
Connie growled, before smirking, "you think I care?" She said coldly, "we are all hunters, we know the danger of the life."
Azurite's eyes widen in interest and shock at the objective coldness from the witch, "My! My! Are you truly willing to save yourself..even if it means leaving these victims to their fate? How cruel!" Azurite taunted before grinning, " How...Captivating..." she bit her lips.
Connie sneered in disgust, "If I escape, it's my victory..."
"But can you escape? Leaving them to their fate?.." Azurite inquired, "Can you really stomach, leaving your fellow man in the grasp of a demon!? Definitely, one who will enjoy using them as her personal playthings until they're broken." Azurite taunted as she drew a bit of blood from the nun's neck watching it run slowly.
She smiled seeing Connee's bullet become larger and she pointed at the two. "Oh no..what's thi-"
"What's your and your partner's names?" Connie asked the nun.
The Nun was silent for a moment. "Al-Alica... my name is Alicia and...her name is Sarah."
"Those are good names...My name is Connie Maheswaran." Her bullet got wider, " I'll make sure to remember you."
Alicia's eyes widen mumbling Connie's name as the witch shot the giant flame toward the two.
The blue demoness' survival instinct took hold as she stared at the advancing flame. In cowardice, she tossed her hostage to be consumed by the flame as she backed away, laughing in glee at their upcoming despair.
Alicia closed her eyes, ready to accept her fate as the heat graced her, before feeling it fade as the Fireball arched towards Azurite, putting the fear of death in her. Putting a barrier with her wings to defend herself and blocking her view.
The sound of something exploding got Azurite's attention as she unfolded her wings; anger and horror seeped into her eyes as she saw her glyph destroyed and with it her barrier.
"You Flame Bitch!" Azurite roared at the witch, who smirked.
" I win." Connie taunted confidence beaming off her tired face.
"YOU'VE WoN!?" Azurite's voice broke in rage as she howled at Connie, "You think you WOn!!? YOU WON NOTHING BUT A LIFE OF PAIN AND SERVITUDE!" Azurite yelled as she dived towards Connie, taking out the mirror from her left thigh strap, preparing to trap her in the 'Pale Moonlight' spell.
'Just a little fear, and she's mine.'Azurite thought as closed in, flipping the pocket mirror open.
Before screaming as the mirror was shattered and her hand was singed through the palm by a streak of orange lightning, shot from the tip of Alicia's tired index and middle fingers.
"Human Scum! How dare you?!" she screamed as she charged, mirror shards in her hand being held like a knife. "I'll swear to"
She stopped mid-rant and mid-charge as a feeling of dread washed over her. Her eyes widened: fear for her life Taking hold as something...SOMEONE rose from Connie's shadow.
Placing their pale purple palm on her shoulder.
"Took you long enough, Steven." The witch teased tiredly, looking at her contractor(s) purplish wispish form.
His ebony sclera with blazing, ferociously protective purplish pink irises and split demonic pupils.
The way his heated breath escaped the corner of his gravely snarling maw.
Steven's protective grip on Connie's shoulders, unconsciously massaging them and comforting her despite his feral and threatening appearance.
She leaned into his hands more."I'm ok." she whispered for his ears only.
"As expected from you, Milady." he praised gently," that being said, I can not allow this blue bitch transgressions to go unanswered." Steven declared glaring at Azurite. Prepared to end the demon then and there as he leaped towards Azurite, two demonic white sais in his hands forming in his hand, ready to run her! through.
"ARRGH!" Azurite growled as she dodged the brunt of his attack; being slashed instead of stabbed.
Holding her stomach she growled hatefully at the demon hunters.
"next time." Azurite warned," Next time you two won't win!" She glared at Connie and Steven," ESPECIALLY YOU, WITCH!" She swore before vanishing in a blue wisp.
"Well that was-" Connie's prideful boast was cut short as Steven pulled her close in a protective hold, his hands holding her back abs gripping her protectively
"Dim flame..." He cursed the fear and relief in his heart on full display.
Connie felt a bit of guilt for making him feel such a way, gripping his back. "I'm sorry...I'm ok though like I told you I would be."
"Con-"
She cupped his cheeks bringing his forehead to hers, "I'm sorry I made you worry, Steven..."
"I couldn't sense you."
"I know."
"I was desperate to find you."
"I...know.
"It…I"
"felt empty without you." She finished, looking away with a small blush on her cheek," incomplete like a piece of me were missing..." she balled her fist." I called out to you..and nothing came back."
"Forgive me, I didn't mean to make you feel so lonely, Milady"
Connie's eyes narrowed at the playful flirtatious voice of her demonic partner," ugh.." she scoffed as she continued to hold him close before doing something that threw him off and made him blush.
She pressed her lips to his cheek.
"Uh... that. I..." His grin threatened to split his face.
"It's a thank you for..rushing over when you could." Connie cleared her throat, "don't look too much into-ah!"
Connie yelped as Steven hugged her tighter, lifting her off the ground as he nuzzled on her neck.
'Thank you my Dapper demon hero.' She thought as she ruffled his head, letting him get his full and secretly basking in it herself.
"Well, glad that it's over."
The two looked over at Alicia, who was kneeling next to Sarah, performing a healing spell on her human businesswoman partner.
"I don't know rather say sorry or thanks, Trailblazer. "
"Trailblazer?" Connie asked before a look of approval showed on her face.
"It fits with your fire magic and fiery attitude." Steven smirked, "The trailblazing witch."
Connie could get used to that alias. Shaking her head she turned to Alicia and Sarah. "Are you two ok?"
"Occupational Hazard of the demon hunting life, right?" Sarah joked as her partner smacked her shoulder getting a wince out of her.
"You're taking this too lax, Sarah." The nun reprimanded gently, worry and adoration in her voice.
"We got out of it ok Al'... why sweat what just passed?" Sarah grinned at her demoness nun.
"Sure, was just puppeteered by a blue bitch for the last few days and made to fight against another demon hunter in a handicap match."
"which said demon hunter helped and released us." Sarah answered Alicia's sarcasm," My shockingly sweet nun."
Alicia blushed at her human partner's flirtatious pur," Saaaraah." She rubbed her cheeks.
"That was an awesome shot to the palm, you know. Your railgun's as accurate as ever."
"Please don't call my lighting spells, 'Railguns.'" Alicia smirked, rubbing her nose to Sarah's creating a spark, "just because I like anime doesn't mean I'm naming my attacks."
"Quite the spark of love they have, huh?" Steven whispered to Connie, who gave him a small grin.
"You should see them fight together. They are as in sync as you and I."
"I'm gonna go heal the others." Alicia stated giving Sara a semi-platonic kiss¹ on her lips, "I'm sure they would want to know What happened and how we got wrapped up in that spell."
Sarah nodded as she watched Alicia walk off," nuns shouldn't be so naughty." She called to Alicia who blew her a kiss," you corrupted me, Risky business. " She played along before going to heal the others.
"So..." Sarah said as she stood up," mind we wait until Alicia's done... Would like to eat while we exchange info."
"as long as it isn't Panda Express." The Dapper demon stated.
"...sorry, he's boujee." Connie apologized.
" Hey nothing wrong with a demon that has taste, he chose you right." Sara defended him.
"Thank you!"
" Besides, Pf Changs is better. My treat.
Connie grinned as Steven hummed groaning into Connie's collar. Basking in the fact that she's safe..but also steeling his resolve to find and punish Azurite for her actions.

Dance in the Pale Moonlight chapter 8: Part one epilogue
Meanwhile, Azurite appeared back at the home of her human master landing on her knees." I..underestimated them..and puppeteering so much at once. It drained the fear out of the spell and began to leech on my magic..." she muttered to herself.
"That's because you were using a small mirror and the emotion of fear."
Azurite's eyes widened as she turned looking up at her human contractor. He sat with legs folded arms resting on the side of his recliner, a mocking grin on his face.
"You use fear to capture demon hunters..people who face down monsters and demons as a job. You think fear was gonna hold them for long."
"Master…I don't-"
"Don't lie to me Azurite, you should be smart enough to know you can't hide from me..."
"But..."
"Pale Moonlight...That's what you called it right? Your puppetry spell."
Azurite remained silent.
" an interesting spell for one as ambitious as you."
"Fucking human." She growled," You act all mighty in front of a great demon like me!"
"Yes." He snapped his finger. As the floor under them turned to a reflective polished ballroom." I do."
" what is this?" Azurite questioned looking at her reflection.
" you don't recognize your spell."
"WHAT?!" She looked at him and laughed looking back down "it won't work without fear, and you think you can-"
"Pale Moonlight: Ambition."
The last thing Azurite saw was a sight white and blue, before losing consciousness.

ON THE RAILS
For @meku95 and @ask-suauwitchanddemons second year anniversary
Well, this is a nice change from last year's party." One Connie Maheswaran muttered as she looked around at the patrons. Once again, the traditional 'Halloween hunter horde' was being held by the benefactors of the demon hunter community, the powers that be as they called them. However, this year was a bit different. Instead of taking place in the mansion as it always was held, they moved the celebration onto a train. A trackless, airborne, sentiment, temperamental train who had a taste for classic period theme literature. That or it was commissioned and possessed during those times. Regardless it is why her mad scientist costume shifted into what she wore now. A forest green gown adorned with gold buttons with a white blouse top and a bow tie with a star brooch. A matching green half jacket was over her outfit. "At least they let me keep my boots, earnings, and hairstyle." She muttered, holding her drink. Still, they would rather be doing anything else. "Excuse me, madam." A deep demonic voice said from her side. Connie arched her eye, looking at Violet, who was dressed in his black ancestral robes. A red rose sigil on the chest with a vine of thorns on the bottom flap, neck, and three latches on the black trim of the trunk—all of the same red. Tied close to his waist by a black belt and a diamond buckle splits into four colors: a top white, a yellow and blue taking the sides, and pink on the bottom. Black boots put the outfit together. "You didn't get an outfit change?" Connie smirked. "I did not; such paltry magic can't affect me unless I allow it," Violet smirked, taking her drink and gulping it down. "Booze good, though." "Magic can't touch you, but vices still hold you," Connie said, taking her glass and sitting it down as the purple one laughed."So where's your better half?" "You scar me, Boon." Violet teased, hand on his heart, "as for the fleshy one, he should be returning from the restroom...Though." "Though, what?" Connie's brown eyes narrow as purple heat begins to flicker within. "I..believe he either had too much to drink or..." As Violet was talking, the train passed through a tunnel on its line. Darkness filled the train for seconds; the sounds of the patrons were silenced.
As they came out the other side, Connie found herself standing alone as everyone else, including Violet, had taken a seat. Their eyes were glasses over as if looking at space itself. Those who sat with others muttered in small conversation. Others just stared out the window. Some seemed to enjoy the reading material...which there was none provided before.  Then there was Violet, who sat calmly, his hands folded over his lap—muttering something to himself. His left heel, thumping busily. "V?" Connie asked, sitting next to him. "Finally back." Violet whispered, "what took you so long?" He sighed, "So...Did you get it?"  "What?" Connie looked confused, "What are you talking about?"  "Did you…" Violet glared, " The key to the cargo...You know...Where all the gold is at?" His eyes narrowed at her confused expression. Just as he was about to reprimand her. A voice rang out. ""Tickets!... Have your tickets out, please!" Connie looked back to see Steven, her demon partner, dressed sloppily as a train attendant. Navy blue jacket with gold trim on the collar and sleeves, gold buttons with matching slacks, and a cap with gold trim along the back of the brim with a gold diamond on the face. White-collared shirt half-tucked with a black-tie loosely done, with matching white gloves and black loafers. She watched as he continued to ask for and receive tickets from the other guest. Something she was sure she never received. 'The hell?'  Connie's hands shuffled into her breast pockets.  No ticket there. "Hey Violet, you have my ticket, right?"  "Violet?" The purple demon pondered, "the hell, my name is Victor...You know that, Kahanni." His eyes arched, "Also, why the hell are you worried about your ticket?"  "Because the attendant is asking for tickets!" "Which we already gave him. When we got in two stops ago." He looked her up and down, "Are you ready for this?" "To...steal the gold…." Connie looked at Violet, uncertain in her voice. "In to rob the passan-" He stopped mid-sentence seeing Steven purr in her ear. "Glad you are on my ride, Ms.Kahna."  Connie felt her chest rise from the hot and suggestive greeting, his hand lingering on her cheek as he walked by, bringing red to her face. "Kahanni." Violet growl was a complete threat, "you better not be falling for our mark." He moved closer, "better not betray me, after all this time." He warned before kissing her. Connie's eyes widened. The feel of the wisp lips and tongue were a strange, chilling burn and a lot more aggressive and invasive. Usually, the reason she would lead them in the very, very little kisses, they did share.  This kiss, however, was a lot more gentle yet dominating, the strange freezer burn sensation as still present, but the technique was out welcoming. It was what she found herself kissing back, purring while doing so.  'If Violet kissed like this more, I'd probably be slightly more welcoming to them.' "Go, Nicki." Violet asserted with a grin and nodded toward the front of the train, "handle him. I got this." "Right, Vicky." She grinned darkly, 'what, Vicky?' Connie thought as her body began to move on her own, heading towards the conductor cabin.  'What the hell is going on? I can't stop myself.' Connie's mind screamed as she opened the door and walked in. "Ok, everyone, hands up! No heroes!"  'Violet, stop!' Her face grinned, hearing Violet's words under the sound of the train tracks before closing the door behind her. "Hmm." Connie clicked her tongue seeing Steven at the helm."I expected the cabin to be much smaller."  'What? What is going on...Am.Am I just a passenger for this...are we all?' Steven turned his head with a look of surprise at the puckish woman. "Ms.Kahna? Uh...um." "My, my so bashful, Stephen." 'Stephen now...wait...Stephen, Vicky, and Nikki…where have I heard their names before.' She sauntered over, leaning forward with her hands on the side of his legs, "Almost as if you didn't invite me." She stole his hat, placing it on her head. "What do you think? Am I official
enough to conduct the train?" She stuck out her tongue playfully. "You need to have years of experience for that." He sat her on his lap, sharing a kiss with her. A heated, spine-tingling kiss that evokes bestial snarls. 'Though..Dapper's a way better kisser than Violet.' Connie thought. "Your kiss is so different from Vicky's, Steph." She admitted. "Better than his," he said coolly, "enough for you to abandon him, Nikki?'' " I.." She is the hat over her eyes, " I need more than just some romping and affection. I have high taste…."  She bit her lips, "Can you give me some high-class living, Mr.Conductor? Vicky has promised me as such." 'Stephen' remained silent for a few moments, head looking down,  "I love you." Nikki sighed as she placed the hat back on his head, "you are a sweet guy… and a fantastic lover." She moved from the lap, "but I require more…" she gave him one more kiss, her deep browns moistened with sadness, as her hands laid on his hips" I was hoping you could give it to me."   She turned around to walk back out. "Stop." He grabbed her wrist, feeling her shudder under his hold."Please." He slowly let go of her wrist and placed her right palm in his. "What is it, Stephen?" She looked at him, a bit taken aback by his boldness, a bit curious. A bit heart-struck. "Did you mean it?" The hope in his tone wasn't lost on her. She smiled before looking away,  "Mean...Mean what?" "That you love me." Her face slowed, and she slowly nodded, "what..what does it matter…." "If. If I can give you that life...Will you leave this one alone? Be my wife?" "Can you?" She stared into his eyes, desire in them." can you give me a luxurious life?" She pressed against her chest, "Can you give us a luxurious future?" "...There's gold on this train." He muttered in her ear, holding her tight. "We'll take what we need… What we can carry and disappear, never to be seen again." "You-You're willing to go that far for me." 'Stephen' nodded, "I want you in my life, want your smile to be the last thing I see." His lips overtook her own, his nipping fangs sending sales of emotional electricity through her, "Can you show me the same type of resolve." He whispered, turning to the door, holding her chin. "What do you want from me, Mr.Conductor?"  The submission on her tongue made him smirk before the cabin door slid open, and 'Victor' walked in.  "The hell is going on here?" 'Victor' barked at the scene. "Vicky?" 'Nicki' called alarmed, separating from 'Stephen.'  'Now, how is this going to play out?' Connie thought, only able to be a witness to the spectacle despite being one of its players. As her body took a step forward after, something slipped into her hand discreetly.  She ran and hugged 'victor' tightly, "I got it slipped it from his pants when he wasn't looking," she whispered into his ear, running her tongue to begin his earlobe, making him tremble. "Oh really?.. Guess there is no need for him then…." 'Victor' stated, pulling a strange purple wispy pistol from his belt and pointing it at 'Stephen,' "You go get the gold." He let her go walking by her, pistol still drawn. "I'll get right on that." She smiled as she walked behind him silently,  "ARRGGH!" 'No!!!' Connie yelled in her mind as her body  jammed the knife 'Stephen' slipped into her hand into Victor's stomach.  Seeing his broken face as she kissed him, looking down at her, and feeling the smile on her face, killed Connie. It got worse when she turned the knife and saw his eyes go dark as she pulled out the knife watching him fall to his knees as blood ran down from the wound onto the floor. "Is that proof enough, Mr. Conductor?" She flirted, skipping to Stephen's side and twirling the blade with glee. "I'm surprised you actually did it." 'Stephen'  said, impressed. "My future, my happiness is essential." She kissed him tenderly, looking lovestruck, "So...My partner, where is the gold at? We need to plan accordingly, after all." She kissed him more, popping and joining their lips over and over again. 'Don't
tell her!' Connie pleaded in her mind, trying to ignore how good the kisses felt. How loving, heated, passionate. "In the far back...in a locked car." He purred through the kiss, enjoying the feel of her upon his lips—the twisting of their tongues.  "Thank you...You made me so happy." She smiled lovingly before twisting the blade and slicing his neck from side to side. 'AAAARRRGGGHHH!' Connie cried best she could as she watched Stephen look at her, stumbling back holding his throat as blood spilled from his wound and mouth. Falling back into the controls. "Don't look so heartbroken; both of you made me so happy." She smiled darkly, " Victor gave me adventure, loot. You both gave me All the affection and love I could ever want in my life, and now you gave me gold beyond my wildest dreams. You are the only men I will ever truly live with..both halves of my heart. Take solace in that." She looked down to kiss Stephen one last time." See...Your final sight is me smiling, my love, just as you wish..so be happy." 'Nononono! Steven, Violet! One of you get up!' The witch sobbed in her mind as she watched Stephen's glare, unable to do much, lest his blood would run. The train jerked suddenly, tossing 'Nikki' off balance for a moment, and the train's speed increased to a dangerous degree. Not that she cared. "Now. For the go- *BANG* Connie felt the lead enter her back with stinging heat. Sensing the growing dampness as her body turned to the only other person in the cabin. *BANG* A second shot resounded as another bullet entered the center of her torso, bringing her to a slow kneel. The blood was staining her dress...The dress both of her men loved her in. She sat on the side of the cabin as Victor continued to click his now bulletless gun, his breathing haggard as he tossed the useless weapon to the side as they all waited for death. "Well, at least we get to die with our favorite dress."  That one comment… That one stupid comment made 'Nikki' tear up and giggle. Made 'Vicky' chuckle. Made 'Steph' chortle. Before the sound of metal, glass, shrapnel Peirce their ears and tore their flesh. As the train ran off its track and crashed. "Hhhh!" Connie gasped as she jumped from her seat, checking herself. "What the…" she gripped her chest. She was feeling the PVC beaker and the del of a lab coat. "My lady." "Boon" She turned to the voices of Steven and Violet. She was dressed as the Jazzman and a blood knight, respectively. "Steven?...Violet?" She asked cautiously.  "Yes?" They answered just as cautiously before being tackled by their witch and love. Unsure what she was crying about, why her grip was so tight or why she wanted never to ride this train again.  It wouldn't be until a few days later, during researching for a mission, where she and her boys would stumble upon the maiden and final trip of the Midnight Diamond.  "A high-speed, long-distance passenger train transporting a safe of gold confidentially from vegas to Delmarva in 1987 ran off the track, tipped over, and crashed." Connie read, sipping a cup of durian juice. "Miraculously," Steven continued, feeling a bit shook, "only one death was recorded. A U.S. Marshall was in charge of ensuring the gold's arrival. He was found with four pistol bullets to the chest." "Mysteriously, three people turned up missing from the wreckage; the conductor, Stephen Quentin Demetri, and two others. A man, known as Victor 'Vicky' Whispers and the woman believed to be both men's lovers, Kahanni 'Nicky' Asura." Violet read on before chuckling, "Sounds a bit like us, Boon." Connie sighed in annoyance before continuing, "As well as the gold. All reports by eyewitnesses said the same. Vicky killed the Marshall and robbed the train while Nicky went inside the conductor's cabin. Followed a bit by Vicky." She wiped her eyes..memories of her experience in her head. "After moments, two shots rang out..followed shortly by the crash...No one ever saw any of the three again. As for the gold, all that was found within that safe was a pistol,
A knife, the conductor's cap and a bloody green dress." Steven read as Connie clicked on a link and felt her blood run cold at the images of the knife, pistol cap, and dress. Even more so, at the three nearly identical faces on the screen.

Dapper-Dapper-Do
"Daddy, Daddy, do! I want all of you...Dah-dah-Dah! Da-dah-Daah!"

Witchy sang in her workshop as she studied, headphones in her ears, utterly blind to the world around her as she beat her quill pen against her book to the music's rhythm.

She had the house to herself for the moment as Dapper, Heartberry, and Mister went to get some food. She saw it as a chance to explore the differences and similarities between demon magic and gem magic.

She did find the subject fascinating.

Accurate as that was, she soon found herself interested in the lyrics in her head and how they resonated with her feelings towards her partner.

" Throw my heart on the flames,
This love! This love!
like fire, burning in my veins."

As Witchy scribbles another complex insignia formula into her book, she finds herself bobbing her head, getting lost again in the music.

"I lean to kiss you,
I'm counting 1, 2, 3
But then you look-a-way like it was all a game."

A small slowly formed on her face as memories of his bashful blushing face appeared to her mind.

"I'm trying to tell you my feelings, but it's hard When you keep toying on with my heart."

' He certainly does.'  Witchy sighed, thinking of his mannerism. Always a tone of a tease when addressing her.

"I shouldn't chase you - I know it's taboo
But I can't help it - Oh, what should I do?"

She allowed a laugh from her breast. It was a bit too late for her in that regard, despite all the actual warnings from Pearl and her original standoffish endeavors. She found herself being more enthralled by her contractor.
She just didn't know it was caused by something much deeper than the crest on her hand.

"I gotta make my move
Because I'm running out of time
Remove this disguise of mine.
And fire my shot!
Give all I've got
It's not a game anymore - Love is war!"

She didn't know how, but he got her to lower her guard. Her demi wore her mental and emotional barriers down.

"Daddy! Daddy! Do!
I want all of you
Your entire body and soul
And like that - It's a trap
But I find I don't mind
Boy, keep on playing my heart."

She shook her head. How many times did she think he was just being annoyingly playful with his call of 'My Lady?"

"I'll just take a peak
See what you're hiding
Underneath that smile of yours."

How much did she confuse his smile of reverence with that of general respect?

"Throw my heart on the flames
This love! This love!
Like fire burning in my veins."

How many times did he make her cheeks glow with a different type of fire with each smile and name?

"Ba-Ba-Da!

No hesitating - that's a big NO NO NO
Just like a game of chess, there is no second chance."
Sometimes she wondered why he kept going? Kept teasing, flirting when she was apprehensive.  She leaned her head down, creating two small purple flames in her palm and shaping it in the forms of Dapper and her.

"Don't wanna live life in my regret like chains
I'd rather give my heart to the flames."

She made the flares dance in a modernized quickstep, imagining that it was the genuine articles.
"Do you not realize,
 the charm in your eyes?"

Witchy could imagine his eyes now. The violet color iris with a deep purple pupil shaped like a four-pin star.
"Whatever you do,
 I'm falling for you."

The myriad amount of emotions she saw from the innocent to the ferocious. It all just helped break her down.
"I slowly turn around
because my world is spinning now!
I feel my heartbeat racing."

Making her a bit softer toward her partner… She could feel her heartbeat in her head.

"Cause when you're with me,
 it's hard to breathe
It's not a game anymore - Love is war !"
She covered her mouth, feeling the song a bit too much. Looking around to make sure no one heard her as the music played...She still had her pride.
"Daddy! Daddy! Do!
Anything for you
There's so many things left to say
I won't miss!
But a kiss is a dangerous wish
Even so, we've only begun."
Sighing, seeing no one around, she turns back to her happy flames, watching them continue to have their little moment…
"When you call my name
Boy, it fans the flames."
'Great...Now I'm feeling needy.' Witchy sighed as she continued to rock out
"I just pray this game never ends
Throw my heart on the flames
This love! This love!
Like a fire burning in my veins."
"I think I might cry,
your lips; they are one of a kind
And your smile makes me weak each time."
She gently touched her own, the feel of their first kiss still fresh in her mind despite sharing much more since then. Her cheeks took on a magical bluish-purple tone as her eyes adopted the same pigment.
"Now suddenly I'm falling into a great unknown
A whole new world before me
But I'm not alone… oh!"
That held more weight than she would ever admit. Ever since they met and contracted, she felt like her life had changed. The adventure, the battles, the hunts were one thing, but more than that.
She didn't feel as if she was alone in the world. Her house didn't feel so big. So empty. She gained allies and friends.
A lot of that she chalked up to being contracted to her Steven (and Violet).

" Dapper! Dapper! Do!
There is only you
Even after this life ends
I am yours! Evermore!
let's see what this love have in store
Come drive me crazy some more !"
She belted out the lyrics as she stood up and played a bit of air guitar, unaware of the eighteen-inch wide flaming heart around her feet.
"My lady?" Dapper stated, watching her performance, and smirked as he sneaked up behind her.
"It's easy to see; your love emblazes me,
From the deepest depths of my heart!
I give in to the blaze ,Of This love!
Your love!
 My love!
 Our love-!
And fan our flames of passion, burning in my veins!"
The witch was caught off guard, feeling familiar hands rest on her waist and welcoming lips upon her, which she slowly returned as her hand caressed his cheek; the flame trail gently roared around them...
And a couple of fighters that took a snapshot of the little moment.
'They'll forever burn in my Veins!'

Yes.Yess...Dream of destruction." The night hag whispered as she sat on Steven's chest. " Dream of blood...Dream of harming the one you love."
She crouched upon the sleeping demon hunter as she invaded his mind, perverting his dreamscape, turning what would be a fantasy to horror as her fingers twirled above his head and a wisp of magic leaked upon him. His peaceful face soon contorted into one of pain.
" Now...For the flame."
In a show of magic, The night hag faded into the shadows and appeared upon the witch's breast, sitting relentlessly as her eyes glowed.
" Dream...dream...of fire and flares." The dream demon began, her fingers twitching like a puppeteer. "Make ash of your trust and desires and fan them with your deepest fears."
As with Steven, a wisp of magic made its way to Connie's skull, turning her fantasy into horror as her face clenched and tears pricked.
The hag grinned, feeling the emotional energy from the two surged through her." Such a connected fear, the best fear comes from partners who care." She signed, gleefully, "the beads of distrust should be enough to make their contract rust." She mused to herself.
"My oh my, aren't you a bit of trouble, you old hag."
The dream demon turned to find the source of the voice, seeing nothing. "Who impedes on my mission and feast? If you try to prevent their division, I'll see you deceased."
"Hehehe! You believe such parlor tricks will break their connection. Seems as if you have some misconceptions."
"You dare to imitate..to mimic!" The hag conjured up a small black blade, "You sealed the flame fate." She rested her blade on Connie's neck, "you'll see her throat slit."
A harsh constriction to the throat answered her threat. A heavy invisible force lifted her from Connie's bed before a deadly growl met her ears.
"You invade my nest, eat from my plate, and threaten my Boon.
The hag couldn't scream, let alone move, as they felt claws dig in through their flesh, dropping their weapon as it faded away.
"Their minds are MINE to test, hearts MY THINGS for play. For another pest to infest on that ...."
The hag felt anguish as the ghastly purple face of Viole appeared to encroach on her personal space. His twisted personality was at the front, shown through his narrowed purple eyes, his toothy grin with his upper lip slightly pushed out, and his brows raised in a curve. A positively deplorable glee indeed.
"Is to seal their doom."
The dream demon didn't have a moment to submit to their fate as Violet crushed their throat like a nutcracker to cashew, leaving their body limp before vanishing, leaving just their destroyed gem.
Turning to Connie's sleeping form turned from distraught to neutral gave him solace as his ears perked up, his other vacating the premises, he figured.
"Weak.." Violet chastised, feeling Steven's shame. Turning back to his Boon, he kissed her which she would never feel before whispering into her ear,
"It's time to awaken, He needs you."
Vanishing as she stirred and watching by as everything unfolded

Demon Steven 3D slide 1 Facememe R4 requested by @meku95
Tumblr media
Steven sat inside his garden, reflecting on what he just experienced.
________
Flames licked the ground around him, burning everything to pinkish ash. The screams of civilians broke the sky as they fruitlessly ran for their Ives.
Allies consisting of witches and demons standing in opposition to him, blocking him from his goal.
His objective.
His Lady.
Weapons and magic at the ready, threatening him to make a move from those he called allies, friends.
Some, even family.
Despite all that, the most heartbreaking sight came directly from Connie, his lady.
She was hurt.
She looked scared,
Ashamed.
Disgusted.
Towards him.
He took a step, and she took two.
Away from him.
He reached for her.
He needed to help her.
Heal her.
Hold her.
He was met with resistance.
Shocked by a boundary sigil.
Pearl's lightning burned his clawed palm.
Clawed?
His...hand was clawed?
Why?
Why was his hand clawed?
Why did he tower over everyone?
Why were they stopping him from helping his lady?
Why was she holding her arm?
Where did that blood come from?
Why were his claws wet?
No...
No...
Nonono!
-----------
"Steven?"
He looked up at the sound of her voice. Her concerned voice.
"Dapper, your hand?"
Steven looked down and felt shame and fear clenched his heart as he looked at the beastly claw. His right hand clamped in his left arm as tears pricked the corner of his eyes, his brows furrowed gingerly, and his cheeks filled with purple flush.
The image of her blood in his hands blinked, just for a millisecond.
Enough for him to break down,
for tears to flow like rivers.
For her to rush by his side,
Hold him close,
caress his nape.
For him to tremble apologies,
Needlessly, heartfelt apologies.
For her comfort him as he always did her,
To protect him from his nightmares and skepticisms.
To ease her from her own as they held each other through the night.

witch connie 2C slide 2 Facememe r4 Requested by @meku95
Tumblr media
'Something is wrong.'
That was the witch's first thought when she rose from her bed-strange phantom pain in her upper left arm.
Climbing from her mattress, dressed in her sleepwear (the dapper purple shirt of her demon contract..and partner), she walked along the halls of their home. Passing through the hauntingly tranquil corridor, she sighed, the previous thought banging on her mind as her ache in her arm became a bit more profound.
"Demi?" She questioned as she knocked on her partner's bedroom door. Not receiving an answer wasn't new.
'He could out-sleep like the dead.' Connie mused with a grin as she slowly
crept in, a common practice.
She had many times when she needed a bit of affection or closeness. 'Tonight is definitely one of those nights.' She admitted to herself, the nightmare playing back in her psyche.
An abhorrent scene of her Steven being kept from her by colleagues. a barrier of lighting caused by her teacher, and the Crystal witches separated them as purple flames burned around them. Her arm, bleeding the heat as Steven seemed to reach out and then move away from her. Burns on his face.
Burns...
She burned him...
Did she burn Steven?
No..no..that wasn't...She would scorch the world down before him.
And they halted her from helping him!?
She was a second away from searing them all when she awoke.
"Steven?" Her voice whispered into the darkroom that always smelled of wildflowers. Distress filled her heart as she saw an empty space. Her lips pursed in an upward pout, as did her nose, her left brow very slightly crinkled as her eyes dimmed somewhat.
"Something is wrong." She muttered as she felt her arm ached and felt as if it was burning. Her dream, playing back again.
"Gotta find Steven."
A simple task as she looked toward her contract mark on her right hand and concentrated on it.
On him.
Her eyes watered, and her heart shook horribly as she felt his sorrows. She shook her head and rushed out the back door of their home, along the marble and stone path and stopping at his greenhouse. Gradually, she reached for the door as if afraid of what she was about to witness and pulled it open.
She moved fast when she saw him. His arm took her by surprise..but his tears..his agonizing.
That is what propels her to his side, to protect him, to comfort him.
To look upon his burn less face and feel a second of relief before wiping his tears and assuring that he didn't hurt her...and in turn doing the same for herself.

TEST (Based off of @ask-suauwitchanddemons new picture.)
"Are you ready, my lady?"
Connie gulped but nodded. She breathed deeply into her chest, trying to relax her body. Not an easy task thanks to the feel of his chest against her back, his left hand over her right eye, and his right hand holding her own which held her glasses.
He moved closer to her ear giving a husky snarl into it. She felt her toes curled in reflex and shivered slightly. He whispered gently into her ear.
"Hear no evil...See no evil"
The result was instantaneous. His chilling phase was laced with mana and purposed as it entered  her left lobe like a fog.
Her senses were enhanced ..No they were completely changed. The world was dyed in a light purple and in it she could see small trails of magic flowing to and from the room they were in. Within the trails she could hear and feel different intentions from each line of magic. The emotions they held. She was amazed, fully in awe.
'Is this how you alway see the world?"
"More or less,my lady. Now don't get distracted, find the source in this room  and destroy it."
Connie found her heart beating at the living tone and was a bit surprised at her wanting to impress her demon familiar. Though all she did was smile gently before scanning the room carefully.
There was so much information. Streams of magic of different colors, intensity and emotions flowing back  and forth, some slower, some faster. Some loving, some hateful. Some hot, some cold...It was chaotic yet orderly.  Like life, emotion, and soul, the essence of magic itself.
She  shook her head and focused on the take at hand. Her eyes looked all around but couldn't  find the epicenter of the spell. All she saw was. a purple world. and beautiful waves of magic...
That went from and came to this room...
She slapped her head in realization. The streams were key. She looked at one particular and for some reason heart tingling purple stream and followed its trail.
She trailed her hand along the path and she turned her head to the  area rug on the floor. She gripped the cloth and revealed a purple diamond insignia, one of Steven spells... It didn't seem to do anything...No matter it was a training session anyway.
She was about to crouch down to dispel it, when Steven stopped her by touching her shoulder. She looked up curiously at his  playful grin.
"Aren't you curious about what the spell does?"
Connie was about to deny his question, when she felt an urge towards honesty.
"A bit."
Steven smirked. "This spell urges people to tell and show their truth... if course it's  not a real powerful one but you still need some resistance to keep from spilling."
Connie arched an eyebrow. "So. What, you're gonna ask me a question?"
'Yup, if you can successfully lie just once,  the spell will break."
"Easy."
Steven nodded at her cocky tone. "I'm gonna ask one request, My lady...Do you want me to kiss you as a reward?"
Connie's eyes widened at the question, and she growled at the demon. With embarrassed  rage she yelled.
"YES!"
The diamond was still in place

Dance in the pale moonlight chapter 4
"Yo, Crystal witches! You here?" Steven called as he walked into the beach home. A little more anxious than his usual cool self.
"Anyone home? Amy? Beaks? Seer?"
Steven groaned as he received no answer. "A waste of time."
The teenage demon sat upon the couch of the beach home. Looking up at the familiar ceiling as the thoughts of four days ago ran though his mind.
Since the death of the demon in the city, Steven has not been able truly shake the feelings he uncovered from the body. The emotions and the familiarity still unnerved him. He just couldn't let it go, no matter what distraction he tried to employ. Worse yet, it started to have an effect on his relationship with his lady, though he couldn’t see it.
“Can’t she see I'm trying to protect her. “ He groaned as memories of this morning ran through his mind.
*earlier*
“I must assist that you abstain from traveling to the city for the time being.”
“What?”Connie paused her eating of breakfast, turning her sight towards her familiar.
Steven looked back at her from over his right shoulder, scrambling the egg in a black skillet “You should stay away from the city.”
“I work in the city, Steven. Can’t really make money for our upkeep staying home.”
“We have enough for you to stay home a few months.” He poured the eggs onto a red ceramic. “Besides, your ‘day job’ isn’t your real job.”
“I like my day job, it allows me to interact with people and get gossip for our true job.” The witch retorted as she watched the demon sit across from her. Her black eyes narrowing behind her glasses.
“Be that as it may, you are to stay away from the city for the time being.” Steven responded coolly. “Also hunts are suspended for you as well.”
Connie blinked twice as her brows furrowed in anger. “Wow, heh...You’re funny this morning.” She smirked trying to keep her annoyance down.
“I’m not joking.”
“In that case....” Connie sat up straight, crossing her arms, drumming her left index finger against her right bicep. “Who are you to tell me what I can do or where I can go?”
“Your partner and familiar.”
”And that gives you a reason to put me under house arrest?“Connie's eyes widened in surprise at his nonchalant demeanor, before biting her tongue and letting a snide chuckle loose. “That some nerves you have.“
Steven sighed, scratching the back of his head. “I don’t mean any disrespect, My lady.”
“Yet..I’m feeling a bit insulted.”
Steven's face scrunched up in irritation at the sardonic tone. “It’s for your own good.”
“For my own good? Really and how is this for my own good?”
“I’m trying to protect you.”
“Trying to protect…”Connie paused for a moment as her eyes relaxed a moment “ Steven? This is still about what happened a few days ago?”
Steven said nothing, turning his head to the food on his plate.
“I can’t halt my life because of a ‘what if’?”
“I’m not asking you to halt your life.”
“No, you’re telling me to and that’s not going to happen.”
“My lady” Steven held out a hand for her to grasp. “Please try to understand, the last thing I want is for you to be put in unneeded danger.”
She glanced at the hand with a slight scowl. “I do believe that…” She pushed his hand closed. “ That doesn't mean I’ll accept being held as a prisoner.”
He growled  “I’m not!”
“You are.”
“Connie.”
“Rather it’s your attention or not, you are.”
“It’s dangerous for you in the city at the moment.”
“And what proof do you have of that?” Conne nostrils flared. “ We haven't heard anything from the witches.”
“I plan on visiting them today about that.” He retorted.
“You do that. It would do you some good.”
“You will remain here.” He ordered.
“I will be heading to work!” Connie sneered as she stood up leering at him.
"Connie, stop being difficult!"  Steven stood to meet her.
" You're the one who's making this harder than it needs to be."
"Why can't you see that I'm trying to watch out for you!"
"Then watch out for me!" She looked down at the table, the creases of her fingers, scraping at the marble furniture. "Don't force imprisonment on me."
"Please My Lady, think about how I feel. I do this to make sure you're secure." The demon laid a palm on his mistress's knuckle. "I couldn't stand it if something happened to you."
" Isn't danger a part of our lives? Don't we risk our lives every time we go out to hunt?" She shot him a pointed look. "What's different this time?"
"The possibility that someone is directly targeting you for their twisted wants." Steven snarled in anger. "I refuse to give them the chance...I refuse to throw you into such danger!"
"Do you think I'm incapable of protecting myself? Am I that weak to you?" Her voice was low and a fiery stubbornness roared in her eyes.
Steven shook his head instantly. " No no! It's not that!" He grimaced at the thought of his lady thinking he doubted her. "I know you're quite talented...Fledgling witch as you are."
His attempt at a compliment didn't go unnoticed, but didn't ease her ire either.
"This isn't about you protecting yourself."  He spoke gently and truthfully as he held her hands, massaging the back of them with his thumb. "This is about you being protected, period."
She sighed downtrodden. Her eyes relaxed a bit as the anger faded and slight appreciation. "I understand."
Steven smiled in victory. "Please, My Lady this is-"
"I understand your feelings, but I refuse to accept and follow your judgement."
Steven froze at her determined voice. Looking at her eyes he saw he couldn't  change her mind.
"Why are you so damn bull-headed?" Steven scratched the back of his head, letting go of her hand.
"Steven.."
"Why can't you trust me?!" He walked over to the sink grabbing the edge of it.
"Steven, of course I trust you."
He could hear the heartbreak in her voice.
Steven looked over his shoulder with a glare. "Funny way of showing it, partner."  He  turned to face her, fist clench. "I told you what I felt from that corpse, the emotions left behind.". He walked over towards her. “Do you know how terrifying it is for me, that someone who would do that? With those attentions, those emotions. The simple possibility that it could be towards you.” He stopped before her, a few centimeters away from her.” It’s heart-wrenching.”
Connie looked up at him, those sad and scared eyes of his perring down at her. She grabbed his cheeks gently. “Steven, you can’t halt my life for a possibility, you know that.”
“I’m not..I’m just being cautious...Protective.” He held her hands tenderly almost afraid to break her.
“I know but, If THIS is your way of protecting me, then I don't need it."
“My lady?”
She tipped-toed, kissing his forehead, before looking into his eyes sadly. “You’ve always protected…” She shook her head. “We’ve always protected each other without smothering each other...Without taking away from each other...Why should that change? I trust you to keep me safe, have my back..be there when I call.” She gave him a gentle smile. “Trust that I’m capable enough that I won’t have to.. ”
“I want you to though.” He pouted just a bit.
“It is a nice feeling when you come to my rescue, admittedly..”She arched an eyebrow, patting his cheek. “But hopefully I won’t need saving today.”
He groaned as she let his face go and backed away.
“Hey, you don’t want me to get in trouble now? She teased
“Of course not!” Steven gulped as a flush came to his face. “Just..Can’t help but worry.”
“My diligent protector.”She spoke adoringly. “Come have lunch with me today, after you talk with the witches. It’ll be your choice and on me.”
“Oh..So no Panda Express?” He folded his arms with a smirk.
“If that's what you want, then yes.” She turned her back to him. “Besides, It’ll ease your nerves seeing me safe.”
“Maybe a little bit. Won’t be truly comfortable til all this is settled and done with.”
“Yeah.” She gave him a reassuring grin. “ I gotta get ready for work.”
“Or you can stay here… Under my protection... In your pajamas”
The pajamas in question was a long button up shirt that reached her knees over some night shorts. She could feel the flirtyteaseing in his tone and it made it nearly impossible for her to fight the grin on her face.
"You wish.” She walked out of the kitchen with a wave, "Besides that what Sundays are for." hiding her blushing face. Unaware of the uncertain look on his face.
*present*
“I hope she’s safe.” He stated as he gazed up to the ceiling.
“Big Bro!”
He turned to the front door to see Amethyst running towards him. He chuckled when she leapt up onto his lap tackling him a hug.
“Hey Amy.” He sat up with her returning the hug.
“Oh...Didn’t know we’d have a visitor.”
“I did.”
Steven turned his head to see two older figures walk in holding groceries . One was a lilith woman with peach hair, a long pointed nose, clear blue eyes and skin as white as the pearl adorned on her forehead.
Beside her was a taller, curvier, voluptuous woman. She had dark skin the color of garnet, full lips, a large cube afro and triangular glasses.
Them two, along with Amethyst were the crystal witches
“It’s good to see you Steven.” The garnet skinned woman spoke in a deep british accent giving him an affectionate smile. “Not very often you visit without Connie.”
“Yeah I guess so, Garnet.” He gave the woman a smile.
“Is everything ok? You’re not giving her trouble are you?” The lilith woman spoke accusingly.
“We’re fine. Completely in bliss, Pearl.” Steven sneered at the lilith witch. “What about you, Beaks. Pecked any good holes lately? “ He smirked as she frowned.
“Still an unruly demon, I see.“
“Just for those who deserve it”
“Maybe, you need to be disciplined then.” She stepped forward conjuring a small white flame in her hand.
Seven sat Amy next to him as he cracked his right hand, growling defensively.
“That’s enough, you two.” Garnet announced as Amy ran to her leg before lifting up the small demoness. “This isn’t the time for your rivalry.”
“Hmm, fine.” Pearl relented, killing the flame. Her snooty demeanor rubbed Steven the wrong way. “It’s best to return Connie her toy, undamaged, anyway.”
“Goddamn mother hen from hell!” He roared in annoyance, getting a  smirk from the lilith demon.
“They never get along without Sis refereeing” Amethyst sighed. Garnet only nodded with a grimace.
“Pearl please put the groceries away, Amethyst will help” Garnet stated as she placed the  frowning purple demoness down to the floor
“What?”
“I need to talk to Steven about something he asked. You can play with him after we're done.” .
“Go ahead Amy,” he rubbed his little sister's head affectionately. "help Beaks out, and we can visit Connie for lunch later.”
Amy's eyes widened in excitement before she ran to Pearl’s side.
Garnet nodded towards the temple door, a  purplish-blue door with a start in the center adorned with five different gems on it’s point The sapphire and ruby gem glowed before the door opened revealing a reddish workshop. “Let’s talk in private,”
While Steven was visiting the Crystal Witches, Connie was manning the receptionist desk at the Delmarva library. She was leaning back into her chair, a book of spells in her hand. The public place was desolate, only two other patrons were in the library…
Somewhere.
It was quite easy to get lost in the five storey building. Her mind was not on that though. It was on the morning she had with Steven.
'My stars. Can't believe he thought It waa a liable idea to keep me under house arrest like some damsel in a fairytale. He knows better.' She frowned a bit before chuckling. 'Though, there's a sweetness to his protectiveness."'She grinned.
'What would I do anyway after the first few days becoming a hermit..Besides leaving without his knowledge? Create a spell that turns me to a demon, just to break the boredom. Laze on the couch after reading every book in the house, drown his flowers trying to water them...Burn down the kitchen trying to cook him a meal after a long day.' She shook her head.
"He'd reprimand me to hell, while saying I look cute with soot on my cheek, all before happily eating the burnt meal." She felt a warm heat in her cheeks.
"And then suggest we'd spend the evening in the living room together before lig

Relaxation( WitchdemonAU by @ask-suauwitchanddemons and @meku95 ) for @jambudweek
After the day they had.. They need this moment....
Today.
Today was a particularly hard one, and in their line of work that could mean death. lucky that wasn't the case. Still it drained them.
It was supposed to be like any other demon hunt. They'd pick up clues, follow its trail, then defeat it.
Easy enough.
Except it wasn't. Finding it was easy enough, didn't hide its trail of destruction from anyone, much less a teen witch and her teen demon partner. It didn't scurry when they announced their attention.
It smirked actually and turned its sight to Steven before asking her partner, a very peculiar question.
"How do you think you taste over a spitfire?"
it got an answer; being doused in flames.
It screamed and howled in pain before finally  depping to its knees, defeated and dead, roasted thoroughly. Its body should've crumbled, leaving the gem... like all demons..That didn't happen.
Instead out of the demon corpse came a slightly smaller version of their opponent..Same grayish skin, bead like green eyes, orcish stature, only being as tall as Steven with less muscle mass, opposed to the towering menace it was (thought it was) a moment ago.
The demon got wise pretty quick as it stared into Steven's eyes and with it's new wisdom did the  smart thing.
It ran from them.
Five hours of running, of chasing, of continuing defeating this demon had them sweaty, dirty, foul smelling, tired, annoyed..and needy for relaxation.
Which is why they needed this moment.
As soon as they walked into their shared home, the witch made a beeline for the bathroom, stripping her clothes as she did and tossing on the floor without care. Steven would usually complain or tease, but he was in the exact same mindset as her, but had to wait for his shower. He just hoped she didn't take too long as he picked up her discarded  clothing and tossed them into the hamper.
He decided to set a calming mood  in their living room, conjuring some flowers for his garden into a vase and setting them on a table, as well as a couple  of candles, lighting them. They gave off a sweet relaxing scent of Sage, Chamomile, Lavender, and Thyme, and gave the red room a nice relaxing dim glow. He finished the setting by turning on some smooth jazz.
He smiled at his work, and smiled deeper as he heard her coming out of the bathroom yelling that it was free. He took off running following the same attitude of reckless discarding of clothing as his lady.
Connie, now feeling so fresh and so clean (clean) in a very light blue house dress, with a pair of denim shorts and white tank top, her hair in a loose ponytail; shook her head as she saw Steven clothes on the floor, opting to put them in their shared hamper. Hearing the light music and smelling scents from the room made her curious. She was touched when she peered in, seeing her dapper demon work.
Touched, but it missed something. With a snap of her fingers she marched into the kitchen, got a bowl from the cabinet and various fruits from the fridge. She carefully placed in the bowl Grapes, cherries, and various berries. She sliced apples, oranges, mango, and banana, before adding them as well. She gathered some pistachio, almonds  and pumpkin seeds and placed them in also.
She looked at her relaxing mix of treats with pride before carrying it into the room and placing it  between the candles, right in the center of the table, not far out of their reach at all, no matter how they positioned themselves on the couch.
"That looks good." A gruff flirtatiously teasing voice said from behind as clawed palms held her stomach gently and a horned head rested upon her shoulder.
Usually, she would fight his hold, make him work for it before reluctantly deciding to give in.  Right now...
"Just doing my part." She stated as she placed  her hands on tops of his holding them there as she snuggled into his embrace and bare chest, and as she gave him nuzzling smiled against his cheek.
"Couch, Steven?"
"Couch, my lady."
She guided him to their furniture and sat him first before laying her head against his sweatpants covered thigh as she laid down stretched on the couch, her left leg  dangling off the furniture a bit.
She reached  for a couple of grapes to feed him
as he stroked her head affectionately.  Content sighs, slight chewing, and the light music was the only noise in the room as they immersed themselves in the calming relaxing aura of the room and the affection of each other.

Dance in the pale moonlight
"So Seer, How things went?" Steven leaned back in the cushioned crimson marble chair, looking at Garnet from across the table in the center of her workshop. His arms were crossed and while his face was the picture of calm, the reflexively silent snarl from his upper lip left side told a different story.
"It went..Not as smoothly as I hoped." The witch ran a hand through her afro. "That said, there has been some gossip being passed along the magic and demon scene."
Steven said nothing as he folded his hands on top of the table, he nodded for her to continue.
"There's been a demon familiar hunting down and capturing demons for a few months now, indiscriminately. The attacks were random enough in terms of time and place...but their victims were always found in the same way. Completely drained of their magic and spirit, a mangled mess of flesh..and in some cases, their gem dimmed, crushed and powdered over the corpse. "
"That's...horrendous." Steven's face twisted in disgust at the thought of the victims. Pity filled his heart as his hand went towards navel. "For what reason would they need to go that far?"
"To gain infamy, what else?"
Steven groaned as a slightly  more demonic and distorted voice chimed through from behind his chair.
"Violet." Garnet greeted evenly as a ghastly  more demonic looking version of Steven hovered from behind the chair into her view.
The aptly named specter, chuckled at the tone of the witch  "Been a while, Tri-sight. Look up any good lottery numbers, spoil any good movies, give any fortunes that may or may not be beneficial to others."
"Violet." Steven growled. "Now, is not the time for your normal characteristics."
"It's alright Steven. It's just how it is. He's in his right. "
"You're damn right I am." Violet grinned a little more at the small bit of guilt in her voice. "But that can wait for another time."
"I agree."  The hybrid offered with a hard exhale from his chest. "Garnet, is he right? They are doing all this for something as foolish as attention." A surge of magic radiated from the demon hybrid at the thought.
"It's a high possibility...though it's more like they wished to be feared." She suggested. "When you asked me to look into the attack and the possibility of any other ones happening in the city, I stumbled upon something that may be related to something I've been looking into previously." She sat up and folded  her hands on the table, a slightly cool glare in behind her glasses. " What do you know about puppetry spells?"
"Come on...Don't glare like that, a bewitching beauty should always be smiling, right?"
Connie kissed her teeth at Azurite’s teasing smile. "So, I can assume that was your doing a few days ago?"
"A few days ago?"
Connie ire rose as she watched the demoness playfully tipped her head to the side, as if she was trying to recall an event.
"That was so long ago." Azurite mused, before snapping her fingers, before pointing at the witch. "You're talking about that musical glutton of an annoyance in the middle of the burner street." She chuckled "Sorry, I know It was your demon's prey, but well.I couldn't resist such a fear-filled meal. Besides ” Azurite patted her stomach “Lady’s got to eat right.”
“What are you after?"
"Sheesh..You're really all business..Well except  for your hybrid."
Connie snarled as her eyes took on a bit of purple to go with her black. "Keep him out of your mouth." The witch warned.
"Heh, you really are a passionate one."Azurite  complimented. "Explains why you are so well versed in fire and offensive artes." She sighed as she crossed her legs. "The hybrid's lucky..His partner is someone who could actually support him in battle. Not a coward like my master-Woah!" Azurite leapt from her perch, dodging a purple fireball from the witch. "Damn," Azurite complained as she watched the metal bar melt "You are quite protective over what's yours, huh? Get me a little jealous, when compared to my master."
"You're complaining all about your partner." Connie observed. "If you're trying to get on my team. I'm not looking for another troublemaker, happy with my current partnership." She gave her a grin that was drenched with danger, before it fell to an even neutral stare. "You said you wanted to talk, but it seems like you're stalling..And you don't  seem like a fighter...So," She pointed her index  finger at the demon, a flame of purple igniting at  the tip. "I'm going to do my job, my real job."
"Hey hey.. hold on.. I really do wanna talk." Azurite lifted her hands up in peace.
"Really, don't  have much to say to manic demons. Definitely, one with a stalker complex."
"That was on my master's orders, my human master!"
"You're point?"
"It was supposed to be an offering of affection. A sacrifice of love to you..The one who saved him from death six months ago." Azurite announced dramatically, before she snorted " He's such a fool and a coward, not made for battle, kind of like me." She chuckles " But he does have a vast amount of magic, a vast amount of ambition, has the making of a saboteur and a synergist...Manipulative little man he is...I respect that." She almost voiced in praise.
“I...Have no idea who you are talking about..And you’re officially wasting my time.” Connie answered.
“Then let’s stop wasting time. My master wants your heart...I want your strength.” Azurite clapped her hands and from the shadows more people, like the one before appeared. Soulless and tormented eyes upon neutral line lipped faces. Their clothes torn and ragged with splatters of blood. Bruised and cuts on various places of their bodies. The magic...Azurites magic leaking of them.
“And I am willing to exhaust a lot of my resources to get you.”
.“What did you do to these people?' Connie raged, hand clenched fist as her flame engulfed them.
"Them..I did nothing, but made them my champions." Azurite smirked. "I'm not a fighter, something we both established...So I had to get some protection." She twirled her blue hair around her finger, "Though, the process did break them. That's experimentation for you."
"You…"Connie stepped back, caution and repulsion  in her voice. " You brainwashed them?"
Oh..ohoh!" Azurite  snickered into her left palm. " No no...Nothing like that...They are quite aware of what they are doing." Azurite's manic and seductive smile nearly split her face. "They just have no control over their lives, period."
"That's..for what reason?!"
Azurite sniffed the air and shivered almost euphorically. "That's why?" She turned to Connie biting her lip. "That emotion...The unsettling weight, the desperate struggle, the chilling grip on your heart and spine…" Azurite gushed. "Fear!  The emotion that drives the magic of 'Pale Moonlight!'.
"Puppetry magic...Spells that utilizes the emotions associated with fear as its conduit. It takes away the target reasoning, control, but leave and at times heighten their awareness.”
Steven seemed confused at the prospect.” What..What’s the point of keeping the target aware?”
“To build  fear, discord,  and agony within the target.” Garnet  offered. “It keeps the spell active  feeding off the fear of the target.”
“But wouldn’t it be easier to just brainwash them?”
“There's no brainwashing spell, Steven.” Garnet chuckled  “The closest one would get is an emotional manipulation spell based on lust and wanton emotions. They are actually much easier to break than puppetry, since they are only used to enhance a target's affection  or change the receiver of such.” Garnet sighed “While both spells weaken and burns out after a while,  Emotional manipulation spells, unlike puppetry spells  leave your soul and mind intact for the most part and the user of the spell has to provide the emotion to keep it intact for long periods, they have to make the love real or at least make their target believe it’s real.”
“It’s not the same for puppetry spells?” Steven inquired.
“It is similar, but a lot more easier.”
“How so?”
“Really?” Violet growled as he folded his arms. “ Imagine being forced to attack and murder your love ones in cold blood in the most brutal way possible...Flesh against your knuckles, blood on your claws..Their screams of confusion and torment as you ended their lives without fail...Without intention..Without any form of reason, you could explain.”  He sneered at his fleshy half. “A prisoner in your own mind, literally; not even with the ability to scream and rage... I imagine It’s enough to drive a person to utter despair, for them to willingly give up their sense of self.  Anything to rid the guilt of their actions, that load on their psyche.”
“That’s hellish..” Steven revulsed.
“ You won’t hear a disagreement for me” the tri-clops nodded. “The length some would go is just as hellish, even more so at times.” Garnet gave a dead stare at the two. “You were right to be concerned about the city... During my investigation, I found out about a local club being the scene for a massacre.”
“ A demon doing?”
“That or a skillful spell-caster.“ Garnet suggested with a shrug.”The place itself was ransacked like a brawl took place. It still hadn’t been completely cleaned..The bodies were recently removed  at the time so they had some lingering emotional  and magic signatures.”
“They were all witches and warlocks?” Shock present on the hybrid voice.
“No..but that experience could have opened up their potential to be. Instead.. They were all driven to kill by fear based magic...Or most was,” Garnet folded her arms, “ I have a hunch that at least one or two people walked out of that place.”
“The caster and it’s champion.” Violet concluded. “ Or, puppet would be more appropriate.”
“A testing ground, perhaps?” Steven bit his lip and rubbed his wrist. “It was a testing ground for a wide range puppet spell?” Steven looked towards Garnet .”Is that possible?”
“Most spells like that are single target, but with enough magic and something to use as a transmitter..or amplifier, it’s a possibility..” Garnet eyes widen. “ The disco globe,” she whispered. “ It was doused with magic and while most of it disappeared, it did have some wisp of fear added to it.”
“Which means they could be planning to use this spell on an even larger scale.” Violet surmised. “Maybe even a city wide scale”,  Violet kissed his teeth “Ambitious.. I give them that...”
“Don’t.” Garnet warned.
"And someone like that is targeting my lady.” Steven growled as he clenched his fist. His pinkish irises squeezed into pin thin slits and his horns grew a bit more as his magic flared. “ The city is no longer safe. I told her that.” His voice trembled in tandem with his bouncing left leg as  his foot caused a small crater the size of his print..
“Steven, calm down.” Garnet eased grabbing the boy's clawed fist.” Connie’s strong enough and smart enough to handle something like this.” she pulled her down her glasses revealing her three eyes. “ I assure you.”
“Ok I had enough of your master madness.”The witch ground her feet into the sand as she took her ready stance.
"You think i’m doing this for him?,” Azurite gave a murderous smile “No, no, no! This.. this is for my benefit, my objective.” I had time to tune this spell, Witch and soon this city will become my very own fear filled domain, “Azurite stood to her feet” and all it’s residence; male, female, young, old, human and not.” and spread out her arms looking up. ” Will all become my toys, baptized in my horrifying light!”
Connie could only stare, nerves rattling as the demon in front of her, laughed into the sky, insanely, "You're really completely unhinged."
Azurite looked down at the witch with under half-lidded eyes.”You think me insane? That's fine...Soon, you won't be thinking anything.” With murder in her inhuman blue eyes,  Azurite snapped her fingers and her hoard attacked.
‘Connie’s flame fist collided with the sand below her,  creating  a small explosion of heat and flame.
Azurite shielded her eyes from the heat and flame as she was tossed back into a pole. “ From so far!? Feel like a bomb just went off!” The demon grunted. When Azurite uncovered her eyes all that was left was liquefied steel, humid suffocating air, tossed and slightly burned bodies, and scorched earth in the pattern spell glyph.
“Slick little witch!” Azurite grumbled. Anger flashing in her eyes as she saw her champions rose to their feet like zombies, teary eye zombies.
“It hurts..:”One managed to state, a teenage witch, which now bore a burn on her face. “It hur-”
“Claw out your throat.” Azurite interrupted emotionlessly, she smirked at the horror in the girl's features as she reached for her own throat and with strength a normal human couldn’t possess, started scratching at her own flesh uncontrollably. Tearing into the flesh after a few scrapes
“I‘m scared.. It hurts..  “
“I know, “She took out a small icy blue pocket mirror with a crescent glyph on its surface holding it to the girl, “and I need you to be.” She  watched as little by little grayish wisp of magic came from the victim into the mirror slowly making whole as the girls youthful tan skin slowly turned a moon gray as the crescent became a full moon. The girl fell to her knees as she continued to scratch trying to beg for help. Fear still in her face. “Hel-
“Plunge.”
The young witch plunged her fingers into her throat choking on her own blood as she died, despair on her face.
“Her strength would have been useful” Azurite sighed, clamping the mirror close. “Her fear infused magic will suffice.”  She turned to the other seven, who remained silent. ”The rest of you fledglings,” She inhaled. “GET ME MY WITCH!!!” She roared as she spread her wings, blue eyes  blazing with the promise of death if they failed.

Possessive Protection
Possessive Protection
“This...This is wrong…”
Connie whispered that to herself as she stepped back, fear and confusion on her face. Holding her broken arm.
“This is so wrong..”
In front of her stood a familiar face, body, build, and damaged attire; a familiar visage all around.
A usually heart-skipping, cheek redding visage. One of charm and a dapper style. A visage that haunted her dreams in the most pleasant ways..
This was not the same, nowhere near it.
Despite the form, the differences were far too prominent. It was ghastly, it’s ‘Steveny’ shape flickering like a flame, ready to burn everything and it was violet.
So violet and viscous.
The purple imposter didn’t look at her at all, his..
It’s attention on the bull-like demon who was slowly getting up after being rammed through a pillar by the purple devil.
“That’s it, rise to your feet. Regenerative bastard”
The slasher grin on his 'Steveny' face and the blow horn pitch put her on edge, as the Minotaur snarled towards the devil, fear in its throat as the purple devil gilded forward. With a roar, the Minotaur charged forward it’s  red eyes promising death, each step cracking the tiles underneath them.It stuck forward with a punch towards the devil, it’s fist as big as the devils skull.
On instinct, Connie was prepared to scream in concern.
Only for the sound of ripping flesh to steal that worry for his well-being and replace it with fear of his abilities, as the purple Steven tore the forearm of the minotaur from its body..Before knocking the minotaur across the skull and onto its face,in front of his feet
With said arm..
“Now, a lesson to share to those in hell “ The devil teased, before bringing the limb down the minotaur skull again, like a goddamn mallet. A sickening smash of flesh resounding in the concert hall. He lifted the limb high with a frown.
“Do not…"
and brought it down again…
"Ever.."
And again
"Touch what…"
and again
"Belongs to me!"
The violent, violet demon continued to crack the minotaur head with ruthless abandon, in a pure frenzy. Each strike harder than the last. Bone and smashed flesh scattered along the walls as he beat the long silenced monster. He didn't stop until he felt Connie grabbed his waist.
"Stop, Steven! Please!"
He looked back at her with a bit of a glare.
"Steven?" He tossed the limb aside carelessly, allowing it and the Minotaur body to fade away in a black smoke leaving a gem.
His cold, slithering voice caused her to step back, chilling her heart. So different from the pleasing tone of her beloved partner.
Facing him face to face, staring at his dead black eyes and dark purple pupils froze her spine and stole her breath.
"I guess that's not completely wrong."  He chuckled. Looking at her holding her arm, he stalked towards her.
"You're hurt, boon."
"Boon?" Connie inquired trying to push down her fear as she stepped back. She soon found herself between a pillar and the violet demon. She shivered as he moved his face close to her neck breathing in her fright with a teasing chuckle.
"Who are you?"
He smirked at the steel in her voice. "Me?..I'm what 'he' hides from you, my boon."
She trembled as he lifted his hand to her chin and ran his thumb across her bottom lip.
'So cold like the arctic, It feels as if I'll freeze to death staying by him.'
She moved her face away from his grip, sneering at the doppleganger. "What do you mean, 'you are what he hides?' "
His eyes narrowed as he gripped her chin tightly. "Hey now, You should be appreciative to me, fledgling. I did save your ass…" He smirked as he looked her up and down, lingering at her hips a bit. "Cute as it is."
*WHAP!*
The sound of Connie slapping the demon reverberated against the hall.
"Disgusting Demon!" She roared, her eyes blazing in anger. "I don't know who you think you are to speak to me like that, but you are NOT MY STEVEN!"
He laughed cruelly but respectfully, licking the blood off his lip.  "Ooh, I understand why he's so taken with you .That beautiful blazing spirit to match that body….You're definitely worthy to be my boon." Giving her a hungry grin, he kissed her deeply.
Connie screamed through the kiss before pushing the purple beast back with both arms.
"Bastard!" She swung a fist at the devil who dodged the blow. She attacked again with her left, recently healed, fist only to have him  grab her hand and pull her close
Black eyes met violet, fiery rage met possessive obsession.
"Is that how you treat someone who healed you? That's fine, it makes me want you m-"
The purple demon voice started to strain as he backed up. Pain on his face as his hands gripped his head and the purple began to flicker and dim.
"HOW DARE YOU!?" The familiar voice of the Steven she knew, ranged out of the demon. "YOU DARE TO DISRESPECT HER!?"
"I protected and healed her in your stead HUMAN! HOW I take my reward from my boon, my property, is my business...Besides it's not like you don't feel the same way!."
Connie could only watch shocked, fear and embarrassment on her face as the purple demon fell to the floor on all fours, clawing at the marble scarring it like a jagged knife as he argued in agonizing pain with himself.
"SHUT UP!"
"It's true!!"
"Get out!!"
"You lust for her!"
"I SAID LEAVE, VIOLET!"
Connie covered her mouth as she watched Steven lift his head and thundered out as he clawed his face, ripping the purple flame off his visage and tossing it to the side.
"S-S-Steven?" Connie cautioned as she took a step forward,  seeing him back to normal, breathing hard on all fours, quivering a bit.
"My..My lady."
That voice as tired and broken as it was shook her heart as it always did...Connie took a step forward only for Steven to raise his hand.
"Hold on, My lady." Steven grunted as he turned to the purple flames watching it form to a ghostly purple spectre of himself.
"Violet." His voice was full of hate as he stood in front of Connie protectively.
“Steven" Violet responded as his translucent and ghostly figure  floated in place, a smirk on his face. "What do you think you're doing?" He pointed his finger tauntingly. “I know you don't think you're gonna keep me from My Boon in some misguided act of protecting her."
"There's nothing misguided about keeping My Lady safe...Especially from the likes of you."  Steven stood in a low stance, his hands in front of his chest in a clawed stance.
"Don't you mean...'Likes of ME?" Violet grinned, his purple eyes staring straight into Steven's pink ones, before taking one glance at the witch among them. "We're one in the same, My boon."
"Stop talking to.."
"Are you serious?" Connie watched Steven's shoulder tensed ever so lightly. "Steven?"
"I'm his truest, darkest feelings made sentient and given form...You can call me Violet, My Boon."
"SHE ISN'T YOUR BOON!!"
"But she's your 'Lady'? Possessive, aren't we…"
Steven growled ready to strike, when a calming hand rested on his shoulder.
"Steven…"
Steven turned to look at Connie, a flash of shame in his eyes, before turning forward. He breathed deeply and relaxed his stance. "Come on Violet, enough playing." His glare stood as he held out his hand.
Violet kissed his teeth."'What do you mean? No games are being played."
"What's your objective here then, What are you trying to accomplish?"
"....You are useless..as a familiar" Violet growled " You fail at protecting our possession far too often., I refuse to trust you with My boon…:
Steven didn't say anything in response. His fist clenched in anger as his other words hit his heart.
"He protects me just fine, Monster." Connie spoke from behind her Steven, staring defiant at Violet as she stood beside her partner
"As long as I'm present, yes." Violet retorted " All those victories, all those rescues..They could have never been achieved without darker designs. Without me being present, Boon."
"I'm just as capable without you." Steven answered as he cracked his fingers.
"Allowing something to break our things shows capability?!"
"How about you stop talking as If I’m an object." Connie Intervened, the crest on her wrist glowing.
"You are!" Violet barked "You are my Boon, Meant to benefit me and enrich my life for my protection power and service.. That's the basis of our contract.!"
"Is that so." She smirked as she thought of what Violet just stated. "Then fulfill your part of the deal Violet and heed my command. RETURN TO STEVEN!"
Before Violet could fathom what was going on, he found himself being pulled towards his more benevolent half. He couldn't  fight it for long at all.. Her command was absolute and felt the need to see it through right down to his core..The need to get her favor.
He hated it, the feeling of being controlled even by her, the lack of freedom annoyed him. At the same time, it made Violet that more obsessive over his boon. Unlike Steven, who wants an equal love with the witch, he would be happy with her completely submitting to him, to stay untainted by unworthy hands.
To remain his Boon and only touched by him.
"Remember,..I AM HIS THOUGHTS GIVEN FORM, MY BOON! EVERYTHING I SAID. EVERYTHING I DID. HE HAS THE SAME CAPACITY AS WELL!"
Violet gave a howling laugh as he was pulled towards Steven fading out of sight.
Steven grunted and shook his head, the feeling of rejoining with Violet in such away was a new experience, a worryingly one as well. His confrontations with Violet had never been in the waking world until now. He didn't  have time to think it over as He felt two arms wrapped around him and a head on his chest.
" My. My lady-I-"
"You're warm.." She gripped the back of his ripped shirt and smothered her face in his mid. "Stars above, you're so warm….It's a lively warmth."
Steven could only hold her back as she began to quiver and his shirt began to dampen.

Sightseeing(Witchdemon)
Connie couldn't help the small grin on her face as she watched her partner in demon hunting eyes twinkled at the sights before him. They're job took them to the Metropolitan Museum of Music in Empire City and ever since they took a step within the city limits, Steven went into tourism mode...Camera and all.
He took shots of the billboards and advertisements. Of the bronze bull in the middle of Hattan Empire Square. Of the statue valor and freedom on freedom island. Of her eating a slice of Brooklyn pizza  and of various food places Empire's famous for.
Like the little demon foodie he is.
They rode the subway, the bus line, and took a cab, because 'it's what you do in Empire city' as he stated. She could say no easily, but she'd rather die than remove her demonic cohort smile from his face.
She allowed herself to be dragged in a window shopping excursion from one shop to another, looking at electronics, little trinkets, (both magical and not) even trying on clothing at Hacy's. Of course he took pictures of all that as well.
Finally, at the end of the sightseeing tour was the museum itself and it was a beautiful place, better that it was close at the moment, so they had free reign. Exhibits showcasing the life and music of great's all over,  all through time, across all genres. She wasn't as musically inclined as Steven but she couldn't help but feel completely in awe.
Each exhibit had an audio compilation of the subject's greatest hits that can be listened to. She happened to find a certain jazz musician that Steven  listens to. As she was going to call the demon over, she was caught off guard with his hand out to her, slightly bowing to her, giving her his ever charming smile.
She accepted with a smug, slightly glowing smile.  Her demon, smooth as ever. She allowed herself to be led in a dance, something of upbeat modern waltz, as the music of his favorite smooth jazz musician played and echo of the empty museum halls. She giggled gently as they twirled and spin
and glided across the museum, being held by her demon around her waist and by her hand, interlocked by their fingers, hers gently on his nape.  As the song ended he gave her a sip and pulled her back up against him.
Her hand on his chest, breathing in tandem with him eyes meeting his.. slowly closing the gap between their giggling lips….
"ARRRRRRRRRGGHHH!!!!"
The sound if a roar turned their attention eastward towards the polka exhibits.  They looked at each in reluctantly defeat, as duty called.. Steven moved in first giving his lady hand a kiss, before wisping forward.
"So much for a perfect end." Connie sighed, shaking her head with a smirk, before rushing to assist her partner, familiar and best friend.

Feral play
Steven couldn't believe his eyes as he looked upon his lady. Sitting on the floor in the middle of her workshop with paper scattered and clawed walls, looking lost and enchantingly beastly was one Connie Maheswaran.
Her usually brown skin was a few shades darker, her black eyes now replaced with purple slit irises on a black background. Her hair usually in a neat bun now moved as if it was alive. On her cheeks were now the tell-tale circles of a demon.
Not that the horns, floating eye and reptilian tail helped.
Steven took a cautious step as towards the crouching human turned demon, gulping and trying to hide his concern.
"Connie? Do you remember me?"
The demoness looked at him quizzically as she hung her head to the left, blinking.
"It's Steven...Your familiar. Do you remember, My lady?" He gave her a slight strain smile as he held out his hand towards her.
"Steven?"
Steven felt a bolt hit his spine at her voice. It was a bit more raspy and slurred with an almost silky tone, but undoubtedly hers. His face blushed purple as she took his hand and stood. Her figure was more curvaceous and defined. Her shirt rode up a bit as she stretched giving him a view of her stomach now with a glyph around the navel.
"What did you do? " Steven pressed his hand on her stomach causing her to tremble.
"Cold." She moaned to his touch.
"Hold on, My Lady." Steven encouraged. Looking at it closely he saw that it ran lower than her pants line. He stood to his full length, eye to eye with her and sighed. "Guess this is something you can do now, but it shouldn't last long...What were you trying to do?"
"Steven."
Steven was caught off guard at her sniffing below his chin, like an animal. He grabbed her shoulders and pushed her back gently.  He looked at her completely flustered. "My lady, that's inappropriate during this time."
She took his left hand and sniffed  it..before humming in familiarity. "Yes..Yes.I know you. "
Steven nodded, "that you do. We live in this house together."
Connie took his words into consideration, before taking in his appearance. Images of their time together playing in her mind as she did. "We're contracted to each other, yes?"
Steven nodded slowly as he caught a lingering scent of attraction, coming from her.
"We're close to each other." She purred as she pressed her palm on his chest and pushed him on to the nearby chair.
Steven gulped as he saw the feral and a bit lustful look in her eyes.
"My lady, you're not in your right mind. "  Steven suggested as Connie climbed on his lap
"The transformation has affected your modesty."
He added as he held her now clawed hands.
"I know what I'm doing..." She argued with a smile, before moving towards his neck. "I just wish to even things out a bit and feel as powerful and inhibited as you do?"
"My lady, I..You."
"Hehe. My, is my dapper demon speechless." She removed closer to his face. "Do I make you uncomfortable like this?" She looked at him expectantly.
Steven looked into those eyes of her and despite the ferocious appearance of them, still felt his heart thumped against his chest, due to the raw emotion they held.
"It's different My Lady, as temporary as it is." Steven admitted.
"A bad difference?" The disappointment was evident in her voice as she looked down. The floating eye between her horns seemed to close a bit, looking ashamed. Her tail even dropped low.
"I didn't say that."  Steven assured as he took his lady chin and held her face in place. "I said it's different, cause you never did anything like this." He smirked before giving the sad demoness, a small kiss on her forehead. "Never said it was bad." Steven chuckled as she covered the spot he kissed.
"So this is ok. You still find me..Desirable?" She blush the color of deep violet, looking hopeful.
"Of course, my fiery lady. There's not a moment in time, I do not wish for your companionship."
Connie grinned at her familiar, pride rising in her heart. "Good."  She clenched her fist in victory.
"So..What happened?" Steven examined the damage of her workshop stone walls, they appeared to be carved and melted.
Connie shrugged. "I guess having all that demonic energy hit me at once caused me to be a bit erratic.. Feral."
"Very feral, you didn't recognize me at first." He chuckled at her pout.
"Don't tease me.."
"Or what you gonna bite me."
Connie didn't say anything as Steven continued to chuckle, smirking before making her move.
"Ah!" Steven yelped as her fanged mouth met with his chin in a nip. He rubbed the spot where she bit as she smirked arms crossed.
"Feral girl."
Connie nodded with pursed lips before nipping his neck, his throat and various places above his shoulder. Making her giggle each time he yelped or growled In slight annoyance.
"Ok..That's how you wanna play it, My feral lady." Steven announced before nipping her ear.
"Ey!" Connie barked at the feeling, before nipping him back behind his ear.
"Hm!"  Steven snarled as he prepared to strike again.
What started out as a playful, gentle biting game, slowly but surely evolved to a wrestling match as they interlocked their hands and dodged each other's attempts to bite. Their movements rocking the chair they shared as they bobbed, weaved and struck out each other.
One particular dodge had them spilling out of the chair and onto the floor, with the witch turned demon under the natural demon in a very suggestive position..His knees were outside of her hips, he hands above her head still interlocked with hers.  Their faces, just a few centimetres apart…
"You ok Connie?"
She nodded. "Yeah, I'm alright. Two feet to a stone floor is not gonna hurt me."
"I'm glad to hear that."
"Yeah."
Steven started to blush as he looked at his lady spread out and messy hair, the glow of the evening giving her a sinfully attractive appearance as she smiled at him with a fang peeking out.
"Think I can 'make a contract' in this form?" She teased.
"I think you just want to bite me." he retorted, getting a chortle from his roomie.
"Just a bit, but it's mostly for research." She sniffed him, smelling a certain  emotion. "You're not really against the idea, I see."
"Guess, I can't really hide it with you temporary prowess."  Steven lowered his face towards her. "What do we do now?"
"Let's conduct a test, shall we?" She stated as she reached up licking her lips, her mouth ready to sink in..When she felt a wave of fatigue hit her..
"Steven... Catch me. Please."
Steven caught her head as he fell back. Crawling over to her side he lifted and cradled her as he watched as her skin slowly turned back to it's normal shade.
The last thing she saw was his concern yet reassuring face as he carried her.
Connie woke up with a stretch, rubbing her eyes as she gathered her senses. Feeling more refreshed and energetic than usual. She looked around realizing she was in her room, in her bed. Climbing out, she walked into the bathroom, turning on the light and heading to the bath to run the shower. As she stripped out of her clothes she took a look in the mirror, seeing the faded glyph along her lower torso. Memories of her time as a demoness flashed in her head.
A small smile appeared on her face. "Yes, It worked...A one time use it seems, though." She looked at the slight change in her stomach as well feeling how tight her skin felt. "I'm a little toner than usual..a side effect, maybe."
As she continued to look at herself in the mirror, she blushed marooned as she saw little bites along her neck and behind her ear.
Steven nearly dropped his watering can when he heard her shrieked out his name.
"It seems my feral and firey lady is up." He chuckled as he rubbed his own bites. Smiling an anticipation of the day of teasing he was about to put her through.

Dance in the Pale Moonlight chapter 1
Based on @meku95 awesome Witchanddemonau
She groaned as she walked out of the Delmarva public library finishing her shift and not just because of the idiocy she endured all day. Not even cause of her co-workers, who at times are annoying as all hell. No no...The source of the young witch in training groans, stood on the steps of the library surrounded by curious and flirty females and males.
Wearing his signature dark pink three piece suit, victorian-style bubblegum pink shirt, diamond collar pin, black loafers stood Steven Diamond Universe. In addition to his normal standout attire he placed on a pair of shades  to cover his eyes and a hood to cover his ...other features(despite being able to 'glamour' them away.) On his shoulder sat a purple owl.
She sighed at the sight of his rabid fandom and the whining they made when he pushed pass them to get to her side.
"You're looking quite lovely today, My lady."
She grimaced at his slick tone slightly, before leading him around back into an alley for some privacy. When it was clear that no one was following them  She growled at him.
“Steven.. Why are you here?”
“Can’t a familiar see his beautiful summoner, without summoning?”
“Not when said familiar is a demon with horns and such.”’
He chuckled as he pulled his hood and shades off, ignoring his lady’s protest, revealing..His slight tan skin, human like eyes and slight freckled face..completely human-like and teasingly smirking.as he folded the hood over his forearm. .
Connie turned away feeling her face grow a bit warm.‘ Sheesh.  His playing is gonna kill me.’
“So why are you here, again?.” She folded her arms  above her chest as she arched an eyebrow at the person in front of her, trying to ignore the budding affection that seems to grow just a bit every time they meet.
“I was just...around the area and figured I’d stop by.”
She kissed her teeth at his very weak answer.“Uh-huh…” With a nod, she looked at the dove on his shoulder and with a sweet smile she asked.
"Amy. Why are you and your 'Big Bro' in the city?"
"He got into it with Pearl again!"
"Amethyst!"
"Steven, really?"
He stiffened at her slightly dissatisfied tone, his pride of a familiar wouldn't allow him to look bad in his mistress's eyes.
She sighed tiredly. It was common but still she rather not her master in witchery and her friend and partner... be at odds with each other so often.
."So..What was it about this time?"
As the purple bird was about to answer, he pressed his index and middle finger on her beak, keeping her shut.
"Nothing to concern yourself with, my lady. Just a bit of a hiccup on a mission is... ah!
He waved his index finger in pain as Amethyst flew from his shoulders to the lightly chuckling Connie's.
"You kind of deserved that, Steven."
"Mean! That was mean Big Bro."
Steven only snared in response as Connie rubbed the birds under belly caringly inciting a smug look on Amethyst face.
  "So...What happened on the mission?"
Steven and Amethysts looked at each other  before Steven sighed in defeat, nodding.
From Amethyst story, The Crystal Witches found the whereabouts of a demon who uses music as a weapon, lurking in North Delmarva. It was supposed to be relatively weak, enough  for two of them; Steven and Pearl..Amethyst tagged along as well.
The demon had been masquerading as a street performer and had set up in the very center of a shopping market. It was said that the demon was targeting humans, bewitching them, making them it's slave and stealing their vitality for power...Specifically it was targeting humans with aptitude for magic.
When they arrived they saw evidence that the information was correct. The residents were passed out appearing to sleeping peaceful and bodies with an unnatural tone of gray to their skin. They decided to split up Steven and Amethyst to the west and Pearl to the east, agreeing to inform the other when they made contact.
The market was completely under the demon siege, the deeper they went in finding more of the same. Steven and Amethysts stopped when they heard  a lullaby being played on a ukulele, before running towards the music, they paused as they watched the purple hooded demon slowly drained the vitality of a group of young teens. The good thing is that at the time, they had the element of surprise; it seemed it was too engrossed in it's meal and performance to even register them.
Seeing this as a perfect chance, Amethyst attacked the demon first..and was unceremoniously kicked back to Steven side. Steven attacked almost immediately in a ready to send the demon back to it's world, harshly..Only to be obstructed by a small condensed forcefield of vibration keeping Steven back. With a strum of it's instrument the barrier  explodes throwing Steven, and A few unlucky bodies back. He landed hard headfirst through a pole, Amethyst was able to catch the humans that were thrown in the explosion and get them to relative safety.
By the time Steven was done shaking the cobwebs out of his head and Amethysts was done checking on the humans, Pearl was steadily beating the demon back, exhausting it's borrowed strength with quick spells and hand to hand combat. Steven and Amethysts watched as Pearl broke the instrument In the demon's hand with a stab of her staff, the gathered vitality returning to the people. The demon growled before leaping back and vanishing in a purple mist, leaving a musical note in the form of energy before that too disappeared.
After they made sure the humans were indeed gonna be alright..Pearl and Steven got into it.
Pearl reprimanding them both for not calling her when they found the demon, sloppy fighting, and being foolish enough to try to fight it alone and putting the demons victims in potential danger..
Embarrassed Steven retaliated, stating they saw a chance and took it..Also they forced the demon to use a great amount of it's stolen power before her arrival, allowing Pearl to get the upper hand, and even then she couldn't finish it off.
From there it deteriorated to petty insults towards each other all the way back to the temple with Amethyst trying to play peacemaker.  It was when they were at the temple things got more heated and personal.
"That's enough Amethyst, no need to talk about it anymore."
Steven interrupted as Amethyst before she said too much. Connie turned to her familiar, looking concerned at his dark tone.
"Ah!..I..I'm sorry bro."
"Not your fault. She was just mad…" He turned his attention to Connie and gave her a sly smile. "As to why we are here? Garnet stated that she saw our 'friend's is somewhere in the city. I was hoping to have you join in our investigation. "
Connie sighed tiredly, but smiled nonetheless. "Sure, but I haven't felt anything around her though."
"Neither did we, but Big bro just wanted you by him. He was worried!"
Steven smirked and shrugged..She wasn't lying. "Demon hunting is second priority when up against even a moment with you, my beloved lady."
Connie groaned at his flirting, her face hiding it's red. "Let's just get going, can we do that?"
"Lead the way, my lady."
"Can we get some food while we demon hunt, I want a torta!" Amethyst squawked on the young witch's shoulder, making Connie winced at the loud sound.
"Amethyst get off Connie shoulder, yeah? Cover yourself with the hood."
Amethyst with a disappointing groan leapt from the witch's shoulder and down to the ground, when Steven tossed the hood upon Amethyst, covering her completely.
The sounds of bones cracking could be heard as the purple bird shapeshift into a body of a robust female human, short in stature. Under the hood was plump lips,a button nose, amethyst stone freckles, purple hair covering the left of a pair of violet eyes, and light almond skin with purple streaks. Overall she was what some would consider exotically attractive.
She gave the witch in training a smile before giving her a hug around the waist.
“Can we get those tortas now?”
Connie had to giggle at the childish request before nodding, returning the hug as well.
“My lady! Where’s my affection?”
Connie scoffed at Steven complaining as she pet the smaller girl's head. “You be quiet and let’s go search.”
Steven whimpered teasingly but followed along closely behind giving a chuckle towards the witch; one that Connie couldn't help but blush at.
As they walked off the property grounds a regular walked by glancing at the trio from their right peripheral, suspiciously. Steven locked eyes with them for a moment before giving a slight grin and continuing on his way.
As they walked the populated city, Connie couldn't help but smile at the adorable actions of her demon cohorts. Amethyst stopped and looked at almost every food shop, magazine and comic stands and toy store. Each time smiling brightly.
Steven, for his part, took a more attention towards the task of actually trying to find the demon presence at each stop. She watched as his eyes always narrow for any magic signature. As his nostrils flexed for any non-human yet familiar smell. As his ears twitched for any sound with an unearthly presence. She had to admit, her familiar was impressive when he was determined. It was an begrudgingly attractive trait.
That didn't stop him from joining his 'little sis' in window shopping though, or taken his mistress's hand and leading her into a shop they found interesting. Her protest usually ignored to the point of her allowing it..To the point of her almost interlocking hers with his. A few hours into their investigation/playing and with the sun setting...
They didn’t find any demon.
Amethyst did get torta though..So that was one victory.
Connie found herself sitting on a bench as stretching a bit tiredly, as the demon duo found interest in a clothes boutique.
'This..This was a great way to spend the afternoon actually..'
Connie allowed a smile on her face at that thought. she actually needed this she realized. If it was any other day, she probably would have headed home. Get some witchcraft training, read a book..All alone in her home.
"Probably would have summoned Steven just to kill the boredom." Her smirk was a bit cynical.
Her home was almost always empty but that isn’t very new, comes with being orphaned against your will..that and becoming ' the quiet, cold. occult girl' as she heard people around the village she lives at called her. The little snickers and sneers about her being too weird, too uptight, too self-centered and such behind her back..It seeped under her skin for some reason. Her smile dropped into a frown.
“Whatever..They're just idiots, who doesn't know anything about the truths of this world. .. Who cares about them?” She hated how sadden her voice sounded. She leaned back before looking back at the troublemaking demons. Steven trying to get Amethyst to stop taking clothes off of random mannequins with little success. A small smirk on her face as she looked at her familiar, reprimanding his ‘little sister’ actions, before whispering something in her ear. Getting a smile from Amethyst ,who seemed determined in whatever the task he gave her.
She felt a small heat in her cheeks when he looked at her from the corner of his eyes.and waved towards her.
“Silly demon.”
She was a bit surprised at warmth in  her voice as she waved back before watching Steven smirk and walk out of view.
It was then that she felt a chill down her spine..and not the delightful she gets from Steven at times..No this one was caused by the feeling of being observed. She stood up, fist clenched as she looked for any sign of an enemy.
The seal on her right glowed and surged with magic as she looked around. Her senses heighten  and more sensitive to magic signatures. She looked at the billboards..nothing..The arcade..nothing…
' Steven come to me.'
The Crest glowed at her thought and almost instantly, rising behind her from the shadows stood Steven. His face determined, and still glamoured as a human but his eyes took their original black and dark pink.
"My lady?" His voice was cool with a bit of a worry but low.. A whisper.
"Is Amethyst still with you?"
"She's staking out on the wall..It's definitely somewhere in this area.."
"No kidding..I feel like it was watching me. just for a moment."
His lady's abashed tone caused the familiar clenched his fist in rage..
' To cause discomfort to my Connie..I'll see this demon dead before dawn'
He grinned gently towards his contractor, his eyes still vigilantly searching.
"Admiring your beauty to the point of losing concentration..Can't blame them. Your visage is quite distracting, my lady."
Connie lighty smirked,  grateful for the attempt at humor.
"Not enough it seems..It's back to masking its presence."
Steven was about to agree when a female scream was heard to the west. Steven quickly crouched in front of her, looking back expectantly, who nodded before climbing on..
Steven knew it was serious but.he couldn't  help the warmth he felt having her so close..Arms around his neck, knees and calves squeezing his sides, and his hand folded behind him as a makeshift seat for his lady. The fact that she always seem to instinctively press against him too was  bonus.
He leapt from street lamp to street lamp heading towards the growing crowd and the presence of a fading heartbeat along with its magic.. The closer they got, the stronger the scene. They stopped on a tree limb above the crowd, watching as the police and ambulance scattered the crowd and  the paramedics went to put the body in a bag or at least attempt to .as soon as the body was touched..It broke and shattered like brittle brimstone.Though it did give Steven enough time to confirm the identify the body through smell..along with other traits.
"It's the demon, we were chasing..Someone got to them first."
The way he spoke compounded the concern in Connie. She expected him to be more relaxed but, she could feel his anger radiating off him
“Isn't that a good thing? Wasn't that what we set out to do?"
He glared deepened  just a bit.
"It's not the result...t's the method."
They got a quick glance at the body before it broke..and it was a sight he wished his lady didn't see..
The demon..It suffered..The look of pure torment on the corpses face told him that much. It was gray.. stone gray and hellishly thin...much different from the last time they met..signs of being drained of spirit and magic.
Rather it was the landing from the drop, which Steven figured due to the splattered blood..or its executioner;  the body was mangled like a rag doll. Its bone snapped and pushing through its thin skin, ligaments torn open by what seemed to be claws..jagged claws..all for the world to see. The demon was used an example or an exhibition, to whom..Steven couldn't say, but they were certainly relished in their brutality and by the tightness of Connie's grip. She felt the same discontent at the visage.
There was one other thing he got as well. The residual presence of magic from a human and a non-human.
"This..we need to inform the witches of this..."
Connie voice wasn't that of fear but of resignation. She would have loved to investigate and try to find those responsible, but the look on Steven face said it all...They might be over their heads. She got a nod of affirmation from her familiar.
"Amethyst"
Almost instantaneously the limb above them shook and the demoness poked her head out of the foliage. looking quizzically at the duo.
"Yes Big Bro?"
"Go home and inform the witches."
His voice left no room for argument or questioning.
Amethyst still did the latter though. " What about you?"
He smirked before nodding his head towards Connie. "I'll be accompanying my lady home. Before heading back here."
Connie grimaced, faced red. "Hey now! I didn't agree to that!"
"Well, how else will I be able to protect my beloved lady?"
Connie gave him a gentle tap on the back of his head. A love tap. "I'm quite capable, thank you."
Steven gave her a small smile."Of course..But I need to be sure your safe,Connie. It'll calm me."
'He's hiding something...His eyes, there's worry in them.' Connie thought with a frown on her face at the false smile. "Sure.."
He nodded as he turned to Amethyst. "Hurry up, now. I'll be there later."
Amethyst, a bit disheartened at her Big bro somber tone, nodded reluctantly. Before she left though she whispered into Steven's ear, who eyes widen in thought…
"Take it with you..I'll collect it later Now go home and mask your magic."
Amethyst  smiled a bit at his usual  mischievous tone of voice. With a nod the demoness threw the hood to her brother, before  leaping from her branch before transforming into a owl..with a box in its beak.
He watched for a moment before turning to Connie. who nodded.. They climbed down from the tree slowly, unnoticeably, blending into the busy streets..
Or so they thought. Not to far from them, someone watched with longing, envious eyes behind a chain link fence. On there palm was the crest of a contract.

Draped in Dapper (Witchanddemonau)
Steven yawned as he walked down from his room. Awoken by the scent of breakfast being made. "Guess Violet got an early start." He said drowsiness in his voice as he turned the corner to the kitchen.. and subtly turned back around, his face purple with blush as he stood around the corner. He peeked around and sure enough the visage was still there.
His lady, humming a jazzy tune as she slightly swayed in place while she cooked breakfast, still in her sleepwear, something he saw her in before.
If it was her regular sleepwear.
What she was wearing now was only 'Sleepwear'  due to the technicality of her actually sleeping in it for the night. What she was wearing now was a piece of an ensemble, an attire, an iconic uniform even. ..And he would know.
It was his after all.
'But I can't make it that appealing.' The demon thought as he watched the show, with not-so-innocent but always loving appreciation.
His lady...His fiery lady, with her hair down and a music coming from her core, wore a silky light pinkish-purple button up with a bit of a frill collar and ruffled sleeves that was simultaneously teasingly short and adorably big on her. The shirt itself reached mid thigh and hung loosely off her right shoulder, showing a bluish strap of her bra. The way the sunlight hit the shirt made it slightly translucent, allowing the silhouette of her curves to be shown, not unlike that of a spotlight on a curtain.
”Oh, gotta get him his grapes.”
He watched as she opened the fridge door and slightly bent forward at the waist, before turning away; the slight peek of purple cloth and brown flesh forever burnt in his memory.
“Now, THIS is what we should wake up to. Everyday.” The slightly perverted whisper of Violet resounded in his ear.. “Our boon in our clothes, an innocently teasing...What did our counterpart call his Connie....”
“Minx.”Steven could only growl in a mixture of agreement and annoyance.
“Right. ,almost makes me forgive her for breaking the washing machine. Almost.”
Steven chuckled as he heard the irritation in the ‘shadow’ voice. Violet really did lay into the witch with his reprimands..It was funny actually, to see the woman nod her head in shame as Violet discussed the proper use of fire and cleansing spells to her and the struggle he had to go through to acquire such a magic washer and dryer.
“You can’t really blame her for being shocked from a living washing and dryer.”
“She’s 19 and done so much more than deal with sentient laundry machines!  Violet sighed. “She might be our beautiful boon, but you baby her too much.”
“She’s my lady, it’s my privilege as a familiar to make her life as easy as possible.”
Violet groaned before making his presence disappear. Steven smirked as he turned back around to watch her reach for the plates in the overhead cabinet.
"My lady."
Steven would have laughed at how surprised  the witch looked. If the speed of her turning around didn't flare the hem of the up showing a flash of bare thigh and hips. His surprise and blush was doubled when he saw the three tops buttons were undone.
"Steven, good morning." She grinned before  looking a bit worried. "You ok there?"  She cupped his face in her palms before bringing his foreheads to her. Humming at the feel of his skin.
"My..My lady?"
"You're flush faced." Connie interrupted. "You don't feel hot though. "
"I'm not ill at all. "  Steven smirked as he held her hands . "Matter a fact, I'm having the best morning ever and all thanks to you, My Lady."
"Oh really and why is that?" She teased.
"Well, getting breakfast by a beauty...Iis something to be happy about, isn't?" he responded with a smirk, moving a bit closer to her.
"Uh-huh.."
"I'm serious." He chuckled at her accusatory look.
"And it has nothing to do with the fact that you was stealing peeks at me for the last fifteen minutes."
The demon jaw dropped at the witches grin as she rested her hands on his broad shoulders. "You thought I didn't feel your presence, my peeking partner."
Steven  checked as he folded his hands on the curve of her back. "When did you become a tease, My lady?"
Connie cheeks heated up at the husk in his voice still looking up at him with a smile. "Well... the chance was provided to me....Besides it's sunday.. I don't have a work shift nor are there any hunts to be had…" She stole a peck on his lips. "I can just be a...semi-normal girl."
"You're too weird to be normal. "
She chuckled. "Normality overrated anyway."
"True." He drank in her form with a small smile "So...It's Sunday, which means."
"Pajamas all day."
"You mean my shirt all day."
"Oh!" she arched an eyebrow," was you going to wear this today?"
He shrugged nonchalantly.  "It was a possibility."
"Aww."  She pouted in jest. "I regret to inform you.. " She popped the collar of the shirt giving him a smug look. "This is mine now."
"Really now." He kissed his teeth.
"Yup." She nodded "after tossing and turning all night, I am laying claim to this as my new sleepwear."
"Doesn't seem like it provided you a good night's sleep. If it kept you up"
"Oh,that was before I found this." She snickered. "It was hot last night. Sheets left me a bit sweaty, but then I found this.." She teasingly pinch the collar. "and had the best sleep of the season."
"My shirt from yesterday." He whispered as his hands found her hips.
"Your freshly worn shirt, yes." She snickered ."I thought it was just a style choice..but your clothes really do have some ventilation to them…" She gazed into his purple eyes caressing the protrusion of his left horn with her thumb getting a small pur from the taller hybrid. "Or maybe you left some magic lingering within your clothes."
"There is." He admitted " It's how I stay cool and stylish all year round."
She pursed her lips  "Explains, my restful sleep."
"Sleeping in the clothes of a demon."  He chuckled only for Connie to hit his chest as she stuck out her tongue.
"Blah! no."  She giggled. "sleeping in the clothes of my demon."
"Is that so?" the purple flared a bit more at her words.
Marooned face Connie nodded "It felt like you were holding me throughout the night."  She grinned at his shy smile before kissing him a bit more tenderly, making him shiver with affection.
She broke the kiss giving him a grin.
"Which is why this is mine now."
Steven laughed as he kissed the corner of her mouth as he held her tight. "You're just gonna take my clothes, huh."
"Yes...Yes I am" she kissed the tip of his nose. "They look better on me anyway."
