My interpretation of Itachi's character is fairly contrasting with yours. I pose my arguments against your analysis. I hope I would get a lead unto having an unbiased opinion.
Itachi's position in here between was a rock and a hard place. Having witnessed horrors of wars he chose to the stop war. It wasn't the best decision but even still he accomplished many things.
A new Forth Great Ninja war was prevented. Uchihas plan wasn't to reform the government it was to take control of them. Their desires were clearly reflected in their demands. While half of them was about freedom, the rest was only to control village. This, along with Obito's plan for revenge and war, will definitely start a war.
Madara, with the pact, was foiled for more than seven years long enough for the strong Shinobis like Naruto and Sasuke to grow up and defeat him.
Sasuke's life was saved. Itachi would go at all lengths to protect his brother. Afterall, its only obvious he would be over-protective of Sasuke since both loved each other a lot(as siblings).
The Uchiha's reputation were saved. Imagine what would have happened to the Uchihas after the war. The people were already suspicious of the Uchihas and now we will have never ending persecution and would be branded as traitors, doesn't matter if the coup won or lost. The coup wasn't about reforming anyway.
People in the village got to be safe too.
And despite all these he still regretted a lot enough that he wanted the person he adored the most to kill him. Also, no one here is trying to justify his action. A justification and a reason has a clear distinction. Just because there was a reason it doesn't make the acts were justified. He himself acknowledged that. The writer didn't try to justify nor did Itachi himself. People like, Hashirama and Naruto, appreciated the role he played and praised him as a Shinobi.(being seen as a villan while protecting the people isn't easy, btw). They weren't justifying or glorifying his actions in any instance.
He wasn't an absolute nationalist. He he was an idealist. His motivations most cases(especially while making big decisions)were to 'not beget war' and 'maintain peace'. Doesn't matter if Uchihas managed to control the village it still starts war, death, destruction and countless losses which is exactly what Itachi hated from when he was 4. He also wanted to reform the village by becoming a Hokage. He wanted to wiped out the entire ninja system since ninjas were the ones who were used as a weapon for the Diamoyo start constant wars. The Leaf was sort of obnoxious in the time of Tobirama and Hiruzen's regime. But even still, the Hokages were good and passionate and also the people were innocent.
How do you even know it was prevented? Shisui stating that hidden villages will take advantage of Konoha’s civil war to invade was just a fear that was actually constantly proven wrong throughout the series; when Suna invaded and Konoha was destroyed (forcing it to send their most powerful shinobi out of the village to collect money) no other village took advantage of the situation, not even Kumo or Iwa, two of the big five that were not struggling politically or militarily as Suna, Kiri and Konoha were. Kumogakure even tried to kidnap Hinata while in the middle of signing a peace treaty, yet they did nothing against the Hyüga clan nor the village during one of their most vulnerable state.
Furthermore, you mean to tell me that a civil war (I am using that notion generously because Konoha is a military state with a non-civilian population, specifically trained for combat) destabilizes the military and economic power of a city, yet the complete disappearance overnight of one of the village's founding and most powerful clans does nothing to its structure? Other villages wouldn’t see the absence of Sharingan-wielders as an enticing opportunity to strike? Do you mean to tell me that a village was left without police to control it overnight (and their job is considered super important by detractors), yet the city did not succumb to chaos?
Their desires were clearly reflected in their demands.
What were their demands? Enlighten me.
While half of them was about freedom, the rest was only to control village.
Where do you get this information from? There’s nothing of the sort stated in the manga.
This, along with Obito's plan for revenge and war, will definitely start a war.
Obito’s plan needed the annihilation of the Sharingan-wielders as he didn’t want anyone capable of obtaining the Mangekyou to jeopardize his plan to control the ten-tails, Itachi killing the Uchiha literally allowed Obito to start the war!!
Madara, with the pact, was foiled for more than seven years long enough for the strong Shinobis like Naruto and Sasuke to grow up and defeat him.
… what? This doesn’t make any sense and has nothing to do with Itachi… you mean to tell me that Itachi killing his clan made Sasuke as powerful as he is? Because Sasuke has always been powerful and has always been Indra’s transmigrant, and as I’ve said, Obito wouldn’t have been able to initiate the war (or at least would’ve been incredibly difficult for him) with the Uchiha clan still alive!
Sasuke's life was saved. Itachi would go at all lengths to protect his brother. Afterall, its only obvious he would be over-protective of Sasuke since both loved each other a lot(as siblings).
An eight-year-old was tortured mentally by his brother through Tsukuyomi by watching his clan and parents get killed over and over again, was left to live alone in a compound destroyed by his brother’s actions, having to clean his parents’ own blood and fend for himself –but at least he’s alive… the circumstances and solitude in which he grew is abysmal, traumatic, negligent and inhumane, but we don’t care as much about children’s safety as we do children being just alive.
There were other children in that compound, children that knew nothing of and participated not in the coup to which Itachi didn’t extend the same kindness he did his brother.
What “reputation”? The Uchiha were always constructed under a negative light within Tobirama’s system, you lot keep saying they were saved from being seen as detractors when there’s not a single panel that states they were planning to change the system as a whole (rather take down the current government, which is not the same).
Furthermore, to think that they cared about the rest of the population's mindset regarding them is so incredibly simplistic I have to laugh at it –they’re the strongest clan in the village, without Uchiha, there’d have been no village in the first place, and they were already aware of the unfavorable perspective in which they were regarded by others, nothing in itself would’ve changed.
The Uchiha being seen as loyal to the village helped no one but the current system as it is, as they’re seen as a government without opposition, it wasn’t about maintaining the Uchiha’s honor, but keeping the fragile credit of the structure and those in power -if Uchiha died in their own terms, then other clans will know about the clan’s discomfort with the current mindset, and those that feel uncomfortable with it might find a group that validates such sentiments:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Kakashi admits to being uncomfortable with the way he's viewed by the system, he even uses plural when referring to ninja ("we ninja") -meaning there's a communal uneasiness with the whole situation.
The fact that the government silenced detractors (Uchiha) by killing them will only deepen further the general shinobi population's discomfort, which is why is imperative to silence the truth.
[On another note, why do you keep using "honor" as an excuse to execute an entire compound of people? The entire clan was decimated and the whole "honor" of the family rested as another responsibility Sasuke had to endure all by himself thanks to "Itachi's love" -they were left with no honor as Sasuke was forced to restore it! Furthermore, they're all dead! What is "honor" gonna do for them? For the massacred innocents at least? They did nothing wrong and were killed regardless, their honorable nature wasn't even being questioned!]
People in the village got to be safe too.
Safe of what? When was it stated they were going to fight against those who weren’t in power? The problem is they rebelling against those they deem their oppressors but not the government refusing to renounce their power in order to keep the “population they hold so dear” safe? They are both willing to kill innocents (so I guess some people in the village weren’t safe, but in your book, they don’t matter as much), and use the rest of the military population to strike against Uchiha (which is also, never actually stated!). The idea of a “within war” was never confirmed as the Uchiha had no chance to strike, no one is to say they weren’t trying to take power through force yet quietly, no one is to know what was their actual plan as that was never brought to light!
The Uchiha are wrong for wanting to take the power but the government isn't wrong for wanting to keep it, the Uchiha are wrong for their methods to seek authority but not the government for defending the status quo. Uchiha having power would mean annihilation, somehow, despite them being against just their oppressors, not Konoha as a whole; while the government seeks to protect the village despite massacring an entire and most important portion of their militia and one of the founders' clans.
And despite all these he still regretted a lot enough that he wanted the person he adored the most to kill him.
He regretted nothing, he wanted Sasuke to kill him in order to both give him an objective and to distract him from finding out Konoha’s involvement in the Uchiha Massacre, shouldering the entire responsibility of their demisse.
Also, no one here is trying to justify his action.
But you are, you wrote point after point why he had to kill his clan.
A justification and a reason has a clear distinction.
What distinction? You need to expand on the notions you think are relevant to you own argument.
What are you even writing? I’m being honest with that question, claiming to have a reason to kill his clan is used as a justification for his actions! I can’t believe I have to explain that to you. He never said he had no justification (their coup was treated as such over and over, everyone took advantage of them wanting to coup in order to both order the massacre and carry it out!!).
How on earth can you write “People like Hashirama and Naruto appreciated the role he played and praised him as a shinobi but they never justified him”, so are they praising him or not? Them positively reinforcing Itachi and praising him for “his sacrifice” (you see, not only he is perceived as a villain, he is a villain, he killed an entire kin -again, innocents included, in order to maintain specific people in power) is justifying his actions under the notion of the “greater good for the village”.
He wasn't an absolute nationalist.
He did everything for Konoha! He even claimed himself to be “Itachi of the Leaf!” What are you even talking about?
He he was an idealist. His motivations most cases(especially while making big decisions)were to 'not beget war' and 'maintain peace'.
Yet his actions concluded in Obito being able to control the Ten Tails with almost no real opposition as the only other Sharingan-wielder was Sasuke.
Doesn't matter if Uchihas managed to control the village it still starts war, death, destruction and countless losses which is exactly what Itachi hated from when he was 4.
How do you know? Do you have an entirely new manga written by Kishimoto about what would’ve happened had the Uchiha taken over the village? Itachi hated Uchiha since he was four because they brought “war, death and destruction” but not Konoha that actually provoked such wars, deaths, and destruction, what an intelligent boy!
You have to be a troll because, man, “unbiased opinion” my ass. Also, did you just come to my blog with arguments coming from Itachi Shinden? The story not written by Kishimoto?
He also wanted to reform the village by becoming a Hokage. He wanted to wiped out the entire ninja system since ninjas were the ones who were used as a weapon for the Diamoyo start constant wars.
Funny, under Hiruzen’s regime he would’ve never become Hokage, furthermore, when did he even hinted to want to become Hokage?? Never in the entire manga. Also, the Daimyo did little to nothing when it came to wars, those were all the Kage’s responsibilities! Dear Lord, did you at least read Team 10’s Arc? Asuma’s background literally explains how the Shugonin Jūnishi fought each other because six of them wanted the entire military power of the Land of Fire to be managed by the Daimyo alone while the rest, Asuma included, defended the Hokage’s existence.
The Leaf was sort of obnoxious in the time of Tobirama and Hiruzen's regime. But even still, the Hokages were good and passionate and also the people were innocent.
Which people were innocent? The children and non-Sharingan wielders that knew nothing of the coup and were massacred regardless? How can you write “the Hokages were good” while they literally ordered the mass killing of people they swore to protect? How can you use “obnoxious” and “good” to describe the same two people?!
Gosh, the fact that you lot (Itachi stans) don’t comprehend that his involvement in the massacre of his own people alongside the protagonist’s endorsement of state-sanctioned genocide, makes the annihilation of an entire portion of a village a plausible option to handle internal disagreements is disastrous.
Committing genocide against the village’s own people sets a dangerous precedent where future governments can see and use such slaughter as a conceivable, even necessary, tool at their disposal whenever they feel threatened, making any clan vulnerable to the decisions of its government and guaranteeing the silence of possible detractors or even the censorship of constructive criticism of the political, military, economic and cultural system.
Jesus.

Anyway thinking of Despair Togami and him being rather clingy even after they’ve been reformed, like it’s RARE to not see both Byakuya and Makoto together or if byakuya isn’t at Makoto shadow then it’s Kyoko or sometime both (but kiri and togami don’t necessarily get along all to well)
But more often then not you’ll see Byakuya and makoto together, Makoto often talks to him in whisper and Byakuya the same, unless Makoto wishes to announce something then he’ll (byakuya) say it for him. They’re scarily in sync it’s almost like they could read eachothers mind.
Really though Byakuya is scaried to leave Makoto because he fears if he does then makoto lose himself completely and be no more. And can’t bear the thought of that.

Can you imagine interactions between Mizukage Obito and Rokudaime Hokage Kakashi politically?
I don't know how they're going to meet but it sounds interesting.
You’re right, it would be super interesting and I would love to see the dynamics of both Obito and Kakashi being Kage.
I guess their relationship would depend on which Obito we’re talking about. Obito the Shadow Mizukage who is still hiding his identity and fairly evil and ruling over the bloody mist without any attempt to try and reform it? Or an AU where Obito is somehow a legitimate Kage accepted by his people?
(The latter I think would need to be explained, because I don’t think there would be much love lost between someone who genjutsu’d their ruler for more than a decade, especially when Mei is such a good Kage for Kiri).
Hm…
I guess one possibility is that Obito stayed as Shadow Mizukage (wasn’t found out by Ao) and Tsunade couldn’t be convinced to be Hokage so Kakashi had to take on the role after the Sandaime died... but then you’d need to think of some way for Obito to pause the Plan to focus on village politics…
Yeah. It’s probably because I have a thing about trying to make AUs as believable as possible but imo it would be tricky to think of an AU where both of them were Kage at the same time, unless you changed things pretty radically. But maybe others have some ideas!

If I may request the most crack and batshit ships for headcanons possible then I shall open the floodgates with togamina
:000 excellent
T o g a m i n a
The absolute c h a o s these two would create
I love them both so much. Up until I was 18, I had the biggest crush on both of them
So, Mina, Kiri, tsu, Shouto, and izuku worked together on this one to get toga over to the hero’s side
Toga saw Mina and thought she was cute, but didn’t have romantic feelings for her until they got to talking
They started taking during the big battle where dabi tells us that he’s a Todoroki
Mina and toga are fighting and Mina is trying to distract toga so, what does she do? She starts flirting with her of course!
Toga is s h o o k
She doesn’t know what to do, so she just starts lashing out and explaining why she had sided with the villains
At this point, izuku, tsu, and Mina are together (I know it didn’t happen in the manga, but for the sake of these headcanons, let’s pretend). So, it’s three against toga; not the best odds, but she’ll take it!
They start to get to her after offering her help. Offering to be her friends. Being kind to her, like so few people were
She hates hero society because of how it outcasts people like her, people who aren’t “naturally talented” whatever that means…
So, izuku tells her how he got his quirk late. Really late. Too late. How he lost all his friends, how he was bullied by his “best friend”
That was her first crack
Then, it’s Mina telling her about the bulling kiri faced for his quirk, but how strong and kind he is
Then, it’s tsu telling her that she’s valid in her anger, but that trying to kill all might won’t help. Izuku even encourages her to go after endeavor instead!
Later that night, when she’s alone, nursing her injuries, she thinks about them all. How are they still so… innocent? How could they possibly be so good with how horrible they were treated?
She wants to be like Uraraka. Like deku. Like Mina and kirishima. She wants tsu to tell her that she would be alright, she wants deku and Mina to tell her that she’s going to succeed. She wants more than dabi telling her that she’s tolerable. Or twice, a man in his 30s, telling her that she’s attractive.
So, she sneaks out of the hideout and into ua
She meets Mina, kirishima, izuku, and Shouto hanging out.
Yes, she breaks in. She’s toga, what do you want from her? Legality?! Please 🙄
Kiri and Shouto both freak out at first
“oH SHIT! O H S H I T ! SOMEONE CALL MR. AIZAWA-”
But Mina and izuku shut it down. They talk for a while. About how toga would be willing to strike up a deal with them.
So, in the middle of the godforsaken night, mr. aizawa and present mic are called aizawa wants a raise, mic is just happy to help 😔
They talk for hours. And by hours, I mean the sun has risen and set yet again. They get nezu, toshinori, recovery girl, power loader, midnight, they get tsu, they get hound dog, they get tsukauchi, and they strike up a deal.
Toga can join the 1-A hero course after betraying the information that she’s learned with the league.
And so it goes
Two weeks later, toga has joined a reformation course hosted in none other than class A
The others are a bit hesitant at first, but she is welcomed by several as well.
After a few weeks of hanging with Shouto, kiri, Mina, kaminari, sero, tsu, Uraraka, Hatsume, shinsou, Monoma, izuku, and Hatsume, she realizes “holy shit, Mina is reeeeally cute”
It takes off from there
Now, Mina has thought toga was reeeeally cute for a while now. After seeing how hard she was trying to make the others trust her she can really see how good of a person toga is. She has her quirks (pun intended) sure, stabbing and blood might be some abnormal interests, but man does she look cute talking about them.
She actually knows a lot about the human body, and tutors Mina in biology!
Now, the true chaos starts in her second semester at ua. Most of the students have come around to her being there, but some are still apprehensive. She’s decided to make candy for Valentine’s Day! Sato helps!
By this point, she has a massive crush on Mina and when toga has feelings, she isn’t one to hide them! She’s hidden most of her life, that’s not something she wants to do anymore. So, she bought Mina a gift, and intends to tell her about her feelings.
The entire izucrew knows about said feelings, and they hype her up all week.
On the other side of things, Mina also doesn’t hide her feelings! She also happens to be planning a dramatic profession of her undying love
The kiricrew and izucrew (or the kiridecrew) together to make sure it goes perfectly
And it does!
They hug, and then go out for ice cream
It’s adorable
Now that the chaotic duo is together, they wreak havoc on ua and the world alike!
The most badass hero duo
Let me know if you want one where Mina becomes a villain 👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀
I hope you enjoyed!!!! Thank you for the ask!! This was really fun to write!!!

doing some timeline math and i've realized that it's INCREDIBLY possible for mei, yagura, and zabuza to have graduated from the kiri academy at the same time, and because of this, incredibly possible for them to have been on a genin team together.
yagura's age is unknown but we know that he had to be young when he became mizukage, and he couldn't have been very old when he died. i estimate yagura around 12 when he became a jinchuuriki, 13 when he became mizukage and was put under obito's genjutsu, and 29 when he died.
mei and zabuza, if he was still alive, would be right around the same age; yagura would be right around the same age, too. mei and zabuza are both listed to have graduated the academy at 9, so i think it's a safe enough assumption to assume that this was the usual graduation age for kiri at this time, and most likely was until mei's reign began and she began kiri's reform.
#kisame is a little older than them but the idea of mei zabuza and kisame on a team is ALSO wildly fascinating#anyway. headcanons are born from the strangest of places ig#one day maybe i'll unleash the forbidden des flavored kiri timeline#hc#forbidden des flavored kiri lore#mei terumi#zabuza momochi#yagura karatachi#i dunno who their squad leader would b it doesn't matter it can be some nobody#but like. yagura going into his final battle knowing he's about due for his death. telling mei that#should something happen to him she's to take the hat regardless of what the elders say and regardless of her kekkei genkais#she's a smart woman with a good head on her shoulders. capable of leading kiri to the future that she wants.#they both grew up during the bloody mist and yagura was in charge during the height of it. it may have been largely the sandaime to blame+#+and yagura may have been under a genjutsu during the worst parts of the bloody mist. but in his eyes it's still largely his fault#he was (as far as my timeline is concerned) made yondaime mizukage at 13 years old. that's SO fucking young; it's a lot of pressure to put#on one person's shoulders already let alone to put on a /child/. and a lot of him even after the genjutsu is broken#ESPECIALLY after the genjutsu is broken#feels supremely guilty for it. because despite being a perfect jinchuuriki and despite being the student of the sandaime#he still couldn't sniff out the genjutsu over his head? still couldn't break out of it without ao breaking it for him?#nevermind that there was very likely some kind of seal that had to get the cipher corps involved that took years to decode#never mind that he was 13#as far as he's concerned he's to blame for the bloody mist. and he knows how BADLY mei wants to turn the village around.#the three of them were classmates and they were genin together. zabuza is dead and a victim of the exact system mei wants to change#so why wouldn't post-genjutsu-break yagura support that?#i forget what my point was#i just care about them a lot#yagura's become my lil guy#EDIT BC I FORGOT SANDAIME TOOK YAGURA AS HIS STUDENT#i cant decide if he just took the whole squad or had like. a close subordinate as their squad leader and just paid special attention#to yagura but. either way. theres that.

Day 26: "Why did you save me?" -- Sakura & Itachi
Haruno Sakura & Uchiha Itachi | canon is only loosely relevant here | Content Warnings: Danzo being a piece of flaming shit, out-numbered, serious injury, canon-typical violence, unconsciousness, held captive
Whumptober Masterlist
---
She should have been dead.
Ever since Danzo had taken over as “interim Hokage,” Sakura’s missions had grown increasingly dangerous. If she were less paranoid, she’d probably think little of it; brush it off as just the way of life for a shinobi. Being on Team 7 might have proven that there was no such thing as a safe mission, but Kakashi-sensei had preached looking underneath the underneath, and Sakura was smart enough to put together the pieces.
She was Tsunade-shishou’s skilled apprentice, a former student of the Copy-nin, and now a powerhouse in her own right. She was a threat to Danzo, not only because she was loyal to the previous Hokage, but because she would make a good candidate for a future Hokage, too. It was no wonder he was trying to get rid of her, albeit discreetly.
A solo diplomatic mission to the newly-reformed Kiri would have been bad enough. Dangerous, because Kiri was unstable and it might be a trap. Dangerous, because other hidden villages didn’t like it when shinobi banded together. Iwa and Kumo in particular might take it as a threat of oncoming war. Sakura had been half-expecting to be ambushed the entire time.
And that didn’t even count the almost-hunted feeling that itched at the back of her senses, the way she would have sworn she was being followed despite the fact that she had no proof. It had pushed her harder, pushed her to run faster.
It hadn’t mattered in the end. Not with the four Kumo nin stepping out of the mist just as she crossed the border into Water Country. Not with the half-dozen masked shinobi who had appeared behind her mid-fight—they could have almost passed for ANBU, if not for the way their masks were pure white and blank.
Sakura had fought. She had dodged everything just how Tsunade-shishou taught her. She had broken the earth under her fist, punched a man in the chest hard enough she’d felt his entire ribcage shatter beneath her palm. She had tried, moving so fast the world blurred around her, relying on instinct and muscle memory to block and dodge and punch. But for all that she was strong, she was still only a chuunin, a few months from seventeen, and she’d never been a prodigy.
Ten against one was never going to end in her favor, not after she’d been running practically nonstop for two days straight. Not even after she’d taken out the Kumo nin. Not even after she’d taken out two of the blank-masks.
She remembered the sword flashing towards her, remembered thinking, Why didn’t I train with a sword? Why didn’t I learn a mid-range weapon? All I have are my fists, a few kunai.
She had tried to dodge that too, tried to catch any of the remaining shinobi with an earth-jutsu, but they’d managed to corner her, pin her with two blades through her shoulders, two more through her thighs, all but staked to the ground.
The pain had been too much. She’d passed out and hadn’t expected to wake up.
And certainly not to this.
Uchiha Itachi sat across the room from her, back propped up against the wall, one leg bent casually. His eyes burned sharingan red as he watched her, and Sakura—trapped in a bedroll and still in a terrible amount of pain, though no longer bleeding out, at least—could not escape from them.
A whole array of questions flew through her mind: where are we, how long have I been out, what do you want.
But the one that came out, her voice raspy, was, “Why did you save me?”
Itachi tipped his head to the side ever so slightly, as if he was assessing her. For a long moment, she thought he wouldn’t answer, but then—
“You have your uses,” he said, monotone and cold.
She opened her mouth to argue—she’d never been able to control her temper, not really—but darkness fell over her like a blanket, and she had half a second to realize she was being put into a genjutsu.
“Sleep,” Itachi’s voice whispered into the nothingness, and Sakura did.

☆aquamarine☆
Aquamarine Takes place in the first timeline after the girls come to terms with the fact that the magical girl society is flawed and strive to fix it, looking for allies but not putting enough thought into what their doing and following a vague dream which is why I want this music video to take place in an underwater mall (I promise this will make sense when I explain it)
Although the mall is underwater, it still looks brand new, with pastel cleaning products in almost every scene which will be used to symbolize that what the girls lack is a grip on reality and the fact that they could die; they are trying to fix a dumpster fire of a society but they only see it as something that can be reformed with half a day’s work and despite society being flawed (underwater) it still can be fixed easily, like an otherwise clean mall with a few problems that can be fixed with some soap (this mentality is also why the songs on this album will Sound upbeat). Submerging yourself in water is also commonly used as a metaphor for attaining freedom through self destruction which applies to them because after being let down by what was supposed to be their fantasy dimension, they are ready to either make their wishes come true or die trying when things get too hard.
Carrying on with the theme of cleanliness I would like the album to look like one of those at home spa/ makeup kits:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I want some of the promo photos to look like they where taken in those stores that sell bath bombs and soaps like bath and bodywork’s or lush or a sleepover theme of the girls doing things like face masks together like your average 2000s chick flick movie:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Promoted b side:
Eat sleep dance will serve as a description of Alis’ attitude during the first timeline, during the first timeline she was especially close with Kimiko and Halina, however after witnessing the extent of Halina’s unhealthy mindset, she completely devotes her attention towards Kimiko because although she was worried about her, Halina’s mental problems where too overwhelming for her.
Alis attempts to bury her guilt by giving Kimiko an unhealthy amount of attention and affection to make her feel like a good friend which Kimiko doesn’t really notice as unhealthy so she reciprocates. This dynamic continues throughout the first timeline, offering her an escape from the chaotic environment she was forced to be in and allows her to ignore how serious the situation at hand was, which she only snapped out of when Kimiko died.

I also think Rin should have either lived or had some way to comment on Obito's insane deification of her. But that one is tough to solve.
Tricky situation, because I do dig Kakashi angst, and he does need to absolutely fail to kick him into despair, and you can't just pull "hey guess what I also secretly survived!" again. Gotta limit how much you play that card. Obito has dibs.
I also don't quite love sanbi!Rin because it overlaps too much with Kushina and Naruto, and the isolation of the jinchuuriki is supposed to be a big narrative deal.
Maybe her spirit remains trapped with Isobu because of the sabotaged seal...? Isobu reforms but it was actually Rin in the driver's seat and she didn't figure out how to be the sanbi before -waves hand at whatever was going on with Kiri mind control bullshit-
That could at least give her consciousness an ability to age and for her to grow past being Obito's dead little girl angel. Obito places so much of his bullshit on her that narratively I think that she badly needs a chance to not be that; even if she still dies/moves on in the end, she should get to say "I am not your doll."
...but I also still want her to get a chance to be a bitter middle-aged woman who has wild sex with her next-gen narrative parallel. As a treat.

1. Nostalgia for Yakuza arc- the first student open to villains is Kiri. Fatgum is *not* an acab- Fatgum clearly teaches Kiri that the best way to deal with violent offenders is to subdue them quickly so to avoid the situation Kiri faces. In bnha unlike One Piece theres no certified equipment like seastone which nullifies superpowers and law enforcement can easily use. In fact Overhaul would have made a fortune with law enforcemnet instead if the old HPSC President caught wind of his operation.
Anyway, Kirishima was the first of UA students to be casually open to the villains even one who shot his senpai and actually did listen. He even starts talking about himself while saying he gets it when it turns out to be a ruse to buy time. Suneater faces three villains who have had more depth to their backstory than the usual big sad ones coz they pretty much are the staple of those whose lives and quirks and choices led them in their situation- its societys fault in a inevitable way. Kirishima's general nature is a bit like Koichi's in how they are affable and genial. Whatever else may be wrong with Vigilantes it did do some good in its original story elements. But way the collab screws up is by having too many Vigs proheros who believe that they are a door that comes before police arrests and so they ar grey zone with compassion- Ingenium, Midnight, Compass Kid. Eraser nd O'Clock also protected criminals(Koichi/Rappa). The hero world Nagant was locked out of is different That hero world is too different than the one we know. So its quite confusing. Throw in how when Kirishima was distracted listening to the villain and how Deku struggled against Gentle because of empathy, the logic of the old gen's long experiences with doing things coldly is grey. Police Chief was also no fool, even when heros like AM called Shigarki a child, he saw him as maturing. And All Might has no excuse he was always in the loop from GT even when Hawks had to grapevine to find news. Need reform in society-join the heros and police into an non-central transparent orgnz, and raise awareness on importance of doctors, social workers, lawyers, teachers etc as 'other hero' Its common sense, especially when Mei too says it everyone tries to be a hero by doing some good in their own capacity and those boundaries need to be reset post AM world. Or thats the too ideal world one would have expected. I, more coz of Vigs mouthing all that philosphical crap about society being a sock.
It's interesting to see that as far back as the Overhaul arc we were having heroes (or heroes in training) be empathetic towards the villains they were facing. It's never been as black and white as the fandom likes to make it out to be.
I agree that society reforms need to be in the form of uplifting the services that would help the society beyond just heroism. There also needs to be better safety nets for those who might fall through the cracks so that they don't, however that isn't just the job of the heroes like the fandom likes to preach, it should be the job of educaters, of the health care professionals, of the police, the politicians, anyone who can notice the red flags and be in a position to do something about it.

Di samping Overgeared yang update 4 kali seminggu, tiga judul ini adalah webnovel yang selalu kutunggu updatenya tiap malam kecuali kalau adminnya sedang libur. Judul webnovel dari kiri ke kanan: 1) Descent of the Demon God, 2) Return of the Mount Hua Sect, dan 3) Reformation of the Deadbeat Noble.

Former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev accused Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida on Saturday of shameful subservience to the United States and suggested he should ritually disembowel himself. It was the latest in a long line of shocking and provocative statements from Medvedev, who was once seen as a Western-leaning reformer but has reinvented himself as an arch-hawk since Russia invaded Ukraine last year. In Japan, no one was immediately available for comment on the remarks at either the prime minister’s official residence or the foreign ministry outside normal working hours. Medvedev is a prominent ally of President Vladimir Putin who serves as deputy chairman of Russia’s Security Council and of a body overseeing the defence industry. He was responding to a meeting on Friday between Kishida and U.S. President Joe Biden, after which the two leaders issued a joint statement saying: “We state unequivocally that any use of a nuclear weapon by Russia in Ukraine would be an act of hostility against humanity and unjustifiable in any way.” Medvedev said the statement showed “paranoia” towards Russia and “betrayed the memory of hundreds of thousands of Japanese who were burned in the nuclear fire of Hiroshima and Nagasaki” – a reference to the atomic bombs that the United States dropped on Japan to force its surrender at the end of World War Two. Rather than demanding U.S. repentance for this, Kishida had shown he was “just a service attendant for the Americans”. He said such shame could only be washed away by committing seppuku – a form of suicide by disembowelment, also known as hara-kiri – at a meeting of the Japanese cabinet after Kishida’s return. Since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, Medvedev has warned repeatedly that Western meddling in the crisis could lead to nuclear war, and has referred to Ukrainians as “cockroaches” in language Kyiv says is openly genocidal. Putin has said that the risk of a nuclear war is rising but insisted Russia has not “gone mad” and that it sees its own nuclear arsenal as a purely defensive deterrent.

Why Labour capitulated on hate speech laws
Why Labour capitulated on hate speech laws
The Labour Government is currently fighting on multiple fronts that threaten its popularity in the run-up to next year’s election. Therefore, when a call had to be made about whether to push through divisive and poorly-designed hate speech laws, there really was no decision for Justice Minister Kiri Allan to make – the reforms had to be severely watered down. On Saturday, Allan announced that the…

ok i have thoughts and i'm gonna fix this for my oc canon bc none of this had to happen. under a cut for boruto episode 246 spoilers.
in general my oc canon sticks decently close to canon with some pretty notable exceptions. though i won't get into most of those here, because this is about kagura.
important things to know going into this, however, that Do make a difference regarding my oc canonverse lore:
Mangetsu is alive. He was forced into hiding following the event that killed Chojuuro's parents many years ago, when they were attacked by some bandits or smth. They'd all already fucked off when Ao happened on the scene, Mangetsu ended up taking the fall for it, and he went into hiding. he came out more when Mei took the hat, working largely in the shadows to keep things more or less sane among the village in the very beginnings of reformation.
Hiroki, my oc, is Chojuuro's personal bodyguard-slash-husband, and a big himbo. He's a member of Kiri ANBU and a former member of the Hunter-nin unit. Between him and Chojuuro, they act as Kagura's adoptive parents, where Mei and Ao (also alive and also did not get recruited into Kara) act as his grandparents.
Hiroki and Chojuuro also adopted Ikada following the previous Funato Incident but i dont have much on this yet until we know what happens with Ikada in canon
to start things off -- Hiroki and Mangetsu were assigned by Chojuuro to accompany the kids on their escort mission. when things escalated, they were told to keep a close eye on the kids.
fast forward to the recent events of the arc -- Kagura is stabbed still, yes. Hiroki, who has medical training from his time in the hunter-nin unit and a strong understanding of anatomy, was able to get Kagura stable enough for Mangetsu and the kids to take him back to the village for proper treatment.
Hiroki, then, goes full feral hog on the Funato grunts. lets loose after the first time in YEARS. during the first Funato Incident five years prior to this, he'd nearly been killed and now has a gnarly scar on his neck from it. so, like a normal and sane person, he starts ripping out throats with his bare teeth.
think, like, full berserker mode. blind rage, no thoughts, chakra tingling in every limb and crackling around him. he uses a chakra nature transformation kekkei touta called storm release, or tempest release, which basically. think like. thunderstorm, storms, tempests, etc etc. that's the ✨vibe✨. it's a combination of water, wind, and lightning -- which is why it's a kekkei touta, not a kekkei genkai, which only combines two natures.
ANYWAY im giving backstory here where it doesn't belong. one of these days i'll unleash the Hiroki backstory arc.
he makes quick work of the grunts, hacking and slashing at them with dual katana, with his own bare fists, with his teeth. slaughters the ones that Mangetsu wasn't able to get to. and when the grunts are all taken care of, and when Hiroki is covered head to toe in blood and viscera and whatever the hell else, he sets his attention to Funamushi.
with Funamushi, he takes his time. goes real slow, makes sure he feels the same pain and agony that Kagura felt. after all, he's a whiz with anatomy -- he knows where he can stab and poke and cut without putting the bastard out of his misery. beats the living daylights out of him till his face is damn near unrecognizable.
and he stabs him, centimeters away from his heart. just out of the way enough that Funamushi's life isn't in immediate danger.
"look at me," Hiroki tells him. does the thing where he lifts Funamushi's chin with the hilt of his sword. "I want you to look in my eyes while I kill you."
and then he rips Funamushi's head from his shoulders.
he carries Funamushi's head back to Chojuuro on the ships, tossing it at his feet. "don't ask questions," Hiroki tells him. "everyone is okay and I'll explain later. The most important thing right now is taking these fuckers down."
long story short, Kagura makes it out okay with a nasty scar to show for it. he retires from shinobi life and resumes his old position as Chojuuro's aide/advisor, remaining in the Mizukage office. when he's been recovered enough that he feels comfortable leaving the village, he and Ikada (and Boruto sometimes) travel around to smaller island nations surrounding Kiri, doing what they can to help keep these tinier nations afloat, no pun intended. When they return for good, Kagura takes up a diplomatic role.
Buntan becomes the Seventh Mizukage after Chojuuro retires and keeps Hebiichigo and Kyohou as her personal guards. Kagura remains an advisor.
Chojuuro and Hiroki don't leave the kid's side while he's in the hospital and Misuno, Chojuuro's aide and other bodyguard, keeps having to play mom to these grown ass adults so they don't literally break down. "neither of you will be useful asleep on your feet. go home. get some rest. i'll keep an eye on him. go home."
they loose a lot of sleep in the weeks following the incident. Kagura ends up with some pretty rough PTSD from the whole situation, Ikada barely made it out without being brainwashed into Funato ways of life, Hiroki had to watch his son nearly die and Chojuuro has to hear about it all after the war is over. Ao and Mei had been away when this all happened and had to hear about it well after the fact when they returned, which was not. fun.
anyway
i think thats everything
yeah im normal about this i am SO normal about this

OCtober Day 7: Hyakutori Sado
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
the first week is rounded out with another parent of a canon character, this time Shin's dad Hyakutori. he has been mulling around in my mental apartments for nearly a year now and I feel bad for this poor bastard. no, he's not the model father or human being, but a lot of shit in his life happened without him agreeing to it. he just got swept up in so much and was unable to break away. as of Boruto canon time I have plans to involve him in the reform of Kusagakure's government. but that's for later.
I also, eventually, wanna redo parts of this to add more details. mainly to his service as a ninja. because it's complicated and messy and I feel like I need to comfort him for all he endured in the decades he spent doing dirty work for Kiri and Kusa. washed up old man has earned a goddamn break. kinda.
currently I'm not sure if I ever want to give him another lover. sure it would be good for him in some ways, but I also don't know if he's really ready for it. at least he has his grandkid Kousei around eventually so there is something left of his family in his life. and of course Kouta has not met him, has no desire to, so he has no idea what Kousei's sire is like or how Kouta treats Shin beyond what he is told by Kousei.
